Another popular one, by the same author who wrote Peeta's games. I don't even need to tell you how good this. I will admit though I had some mixed feelings about the ending, because the author makes them go through another war. I'm not really sure if it's war tbh, but someone is trying to overthrow the government typa shit..

I have a problem with canon divergence so I didn't read the final chapter. idk why canon divergence just feels so wrong to me. But if you do like canon divergence this one could be really good. Anyway it's only the last chapter that is like that, the rest are all regular growing back material.

There's something about the writing that drew me to it. “Hi Katniss!”

“Hi Nancy,” I give a little wave to the nurse at the check-in station as I sign in. “How’s it been?“

“Pretty quiet, thank God, but you know how it is, just the eye of the storm. But now that you’re here, you can take this to your boy.”

She plops down a huge tacky floral arrangement with a balloon heart in the center. I roll my eyes but take it anyway.

“Jesus, is this even going to fit in his room,” I huff out as I lift the leafy atrocity.

“There is room in the bathroom!” Nancy yells to my back as I walk away. There is a cackle from her and the other nurses when I accidentally bounce off the corner of the hallway. Damn foliage blocking my view. I’d flip Nancy off but my hands are too occupied and well… I like her too much too. I like all the staff here. They make me feel like a normal person, not just the worlds biggest fuck up.

I actually manage to make it to Peeta’s room with minimum banging into any more walls. After five days of coming to the hospital thank god I’m good at navigating the layout. When I finally arrive, I hear laughter and I somehow manage to look around the arrangement to see my mom and Sister Sae are his visitors. Peeta looks genuinely happy, relaxed in a way I’ve never seen him be at school and my heart beats painfully in my chest.

If you haven’t already read this fantastic work, then put this on your must read list. This work is a truly wonderful example of a well written, well plotted Everlark modern day AU.  

Nominated for the Everlark Smut Awards for Best Forbidden.

Despite placing Everlark in a complex universe where Katniss is a notorious high-price prostitute working out of a famous Nevada brothel and Peeta is the wealthy, charismatic, yet troubled son who is being groomed to follow his Senator father into politics, neither becomes wildly out of character.  Somehow, the author has managed to preserve the core personality traits of our favorite characters, right throughout the story. 

Throw in some great side characters in Haymitch, Cinna, and Johanna plus a well developed and delivered plot, and this is a story you do not want to overlook.  

When you have finished it, there is a bonus (explicit) outtake in the same Universe “Welcome Back, Mr Mellark”, written for PromptsinPanem.

Hello Merry Christmas! Being in quarantine this holiday season has lead me here of course😂 Does anyone remember this story, it may have been a one shot I am not sure. But I think Katniss and Peeta were together(could of been married idk) and they went to a holiday dinner at Katniss families house and I guess they were arguing or fighting and when Katniss and Peeta got home she was pissed about it because she doesn’t understand why her family can’t just have a nice Christmas dinner without arguing or something like that. And I think Peeta tries to calm her down with sex or something?😂
