Diavolo x M!MC HCs in which Diavolo talks to MC the way he talks to Lucifer
Diavolo constantly tells MC he's the most amazing, beautiful man he's ever laid eyes on, and no one else could ever come close
When he and the MC begin dating, Diavolo at one point says 'MC! You're so flawless and beautiful and wonderful! I'm so glad you're in love with me!'
Diavolo compliments MC's body type and tells him he's a beautiful man, regardless of MC's body type
At one point Diavolo even says MC is as beautiful as a seraph
"Look everyone! There goes my gorgeous boyfriend, MC! Isn't he amazing?!"
"When we first met, MC, I was completely and utterly entranced by your beauty. I couldn't believe a man could be so breathtakingly beautiful."

Hi I'm new to Tumblr and came across your blog. I have an ask for a fic, if you don't mind. I am reading the main story from the original Obey Me on the nightbringer game, and I'm almost at the end (chapter 72).
Thanks to no spoiler warning on a post, I am aware of Simeon's situation. I can't help but feel MC isn't as concerned as they should be for him. Fair enough, they are respectful of his boundaries, saying he would talk when he's ready, but would it be possible to write a little something about MC (preferably female, but not necessary) offering Simeon support and comfort, or even just a fun day with him to take his mind off things.
Hiii I can understand where you are coming from. I also felt like MC didn't cut much slack about how Simeon felt during the time while I was worried about him too. So there you go! (I kind of lost myself in my writing so it's quite long. I hope it's not a problem)
Post contains: fluff; emotional fallout (angst); might contain spoilers up to lesson 72 OM

Simeon x reader

Simeon's troubles
You were sitting in your room thinking about what you should write in the requested report from Diavolo. You had just gone through the surveys of one part of the student body about their opinions about the exchange program that Mephistopheles provided you with.
There were pretty positive ones saying that they made friends with some of the exchange students and they liked the atmosphere of having angels, demons and humans in one place. But there were also negative ones saying that the exchange program is bullshit and there should've never been something like this in the academy. You were tired of constantly reading different surveys with different handwritings as well the poor grammar some of the students had. You were completely exhausted. Walking over to the bed and laying on it you dragged your hands over your face. Suddenly you are reminded of Simeon. At first you smile at the thought of the magnificent angel and the friendship both of you share but then you remembered something. You remember how Simeon has been really secretive lately. He's been looking anxious and uneasy most of the time. He is distracted and upset, sometimes he's even lost in thought that you can barely get him to speak to you. You are worried. Is everything okay? You are sure of the fact that something is bothering him though respect his privacy and boundaries. Even when he tells you that everything will be okay you can't help but worry over the angel. The last time you and Mammon visited Purgatory hall to get Simeon to speak the only thing he mentioned is that he is no longer worthy of using the angel's blessing. What is that supposed to mean? How could he be not worthy? He is Simeon. A highly ranked seraph in the Celestial Realm loved and respected by many. What could have possibly happened? You think about it for a long few minutes before you decide to text the angel.
-"Hello, Simeon! How are you?" –You send the message and wait for his response though you don't have to wait too long since you get an almost immediate response.
-"Hello, MC! And yes. I'm fine. Is there something you need?" –You stare at the message for a few seconds thinking how to phrase it without making him worry further more. Suddenly an idea comes to mind.
-"Actually I found out that tomorrow there is a flower festival coming into town and I was wondering if you'd want to go with me?" –It's true. You heard from Diavolo a few days ago that a big flower festival is coming into town for a day. The demon also mentioned that it would be nice for a future representative of the student council to attend so you had a great reasoning.
-"Tomorrow? Yes I suppose I'm free. I would like to go with you, MC." –You smile at the message, knowing that you will finally get to spend some time with the troubled angel. Hopefully you will help him feel less uneasy after a day of full happy memories.
-"Great! Then it's settled. I will come by Purgatory hall tomorrow to get you, see you, Simeon! Sleep tight!" –You respond and get ready for bed.
The next morning after getting ready for the day you find yourself waiting in front of Purgatory hall, impatient to see the affectionate angel. After a while he finally shows up at the entrance wearing the same outfit that he wore in the human world instead of his angel attire though you don't give it much thought since Simeon himself mentioned that he liked the outfit. You extended your arms happily, willing to give Simeon a warm hug. His face still carries that uneasy look, which tugs painfully at your heart. Yet, when he sees your open arms, a soft smile slowly spreads across his features, accepting your silent invitation for a hug. He walks into your embrace and gently wraps his arms around you, burying his face into the crook of your neck. You embrace him tightly. You were sure of the fact that Simeon needed a hug. Everybody does at hard moments such as those. You might not be sure of what he is going through but you can feel it through the warm embrace. You two remain like that: Standing silently into each other's arms. Speaking through actions.
-I needed this... –You hear the soft voice of the broken angel, whispering into your ear as his arms tighten around your body.
-Thank you, MC. –He mutters once again before pulling away.
-Shall we go? –You offer Simeon your hand and he takes it with a gentle smile on his face. You lead the way to the festival and when you get there you are left speechless. It is beautiful. There are all sorts of flowers around. Gentle lights hoovering over the place, offering comfort. A faint sound of relaxing music and the noise from waters hitting the basin of the nearby fountain fill your ears. There is a refreshing floral scent all around the place. And all the demons around seem happy and relaxed. You squeeze Simeon's hand and lean your head on his shoulder gently.
-What do you think? –You question with a soft voice.
-It's beautiful here. In every aspect. In a way it even reminds me of the Celestial Realm. There would always be pretty flowers all around the place. It was... Calm and relaxing. –He responds and lets go of your hand to wrap it around your waist instead. He pulls you close against him and you smile. Though.. what did he mean by "was"? He can always go there? He is an angel after all... You figured he might miss home and the flower festival seemed like an amazing opportunity to give him something similar to the comfort of home. You could understand the feeling. You felt the same in your first days here in the Devildom. Surrounded by completely new people, new atmosphere, new place. All alone, forced to trust strangers who turned out to be demons on top of everything. But Luke was always there for Simeon. As well as you. You had always been friendly towards him. And always been there for him as well.
He led you into the festival. As you walked around you felt Simeon relax a little which speaks that your plan is successful.
-Usually at festivals like these in the human world we make bracelets or crowns of flowers. Do you want to make some? –You mention that to Simeon, thinking it would be a great way for him to get his head away from things.
-I would love to, MC. Though you might have to teach me. I'm not as good with those things. –With that you and Simeon walk over to the fountain and sit on the edge. You had gathered some beautiful flowers on the way there and were ready to craft some pretty pieces. You grab a few flowers and show Simeon a simple pattern to braid the flowers. He on the other side tries to copy your pattern. He successfully does though it isn't identical, which of course isn't important.
-MC... I would like to braid you a flower tiara. It would look beautiful in your hair. –Simeon says softly.
-Thank you, Simeon! –You exclaim in excitement. And he begins to braid. The angel is focused on the flowers in his hands which makes him look especially handsome. You smile and carefully wrap your arms around his waist to which he relaxes into your arms. Resting your head on his shoulder you whisper softly:
-Simeon? How has life been treating you lately. You seem tense.
-I have some problems, MC. As I have mentioned before. And as much as I would love to get it off my shoulders and tell you what's bothering me I'm not sure if I feel comfortable yet. –Silence follows and he sighs before continuing to speak– I'm still questioning some things and I wouldn't like to give you false information. –When you hear that you tighten your arms around his waist and speak softly.
-Simeon, I want you to know that I will always be here for you. Whatever happens, whatever is happening. I respect the fact that you may not be ready to tell me yet and I'm not forcing you to do so. I will happily wait and be there for you until you feel comfortable. –You state making sure not to say something harsh or make him feel even more uneasy than he already is.
-Thank you, MC. I really appreciate it. And I promise. Whenever the moment comes I will explain everything.
-Simeon it would make it nice for you to know that I'm not forcing you to speak. I will be here whenever you feel comfortable. –You move your arms away from his waist and proceed to gently massage his shoulders.
-God, Simeon! You are so tense it's unbelievable! Let me ease off some stress off of those stiff shoulders. –He groans in pleasure as you hit a nerve somewhere in his neck.
-Oh MC.. ngh... I never knew how much I needed that.... Thank you..
After a few minutes of you massaging his shoulders and neck the angel mentions that the tiara is finished. Simeon turned towards you and put the tiara into your hair.
-MC... You are more beautiful than any flower at this festival.. and the tiara makes you shine even brighter than you already do. –You blush softly to his statement and he cups your cheeks with his hands.
-You are always so understanding and gentle with me, MC. Never have I thought that I would ever meet a girl like you. Such a soft and caring creature. And on top of everything she is also a human. A human.. a creature I never thought that I'd fall in love with. But... Here I am, MC. –You look at him with pure happiness and sincere love in your expression. He chuckles softly and leans in to kiss your nose.
-You look adorable when you blush, MC. Has somebody ever told you that? –The color in your cheeks deepens and you roll your eyes.
-Simeooonnn! You are flattering me too much! As if you aren't the most amazing and affectionate angel that I know.. –You say softly and kiss his cheek.
-You are also sweet and caring. And whatever it is you are going through will not stop you from being my perfect angel. Always.. I assure you. –You whisper and lean in to gently brush your lips against his. It is a gentle kiss. There is no force. No tension. Just pure shared love and affection between two individuals. Just like it has always been between you two. It was easy to love and care for him. He has always been there for you in hard moments. And now it's your turn to show how much you actually care and worry about him. How much you actually love him. How much he means to you. Whatever it is that is happening you know that both of you will get through it. That it will always lead to a happy ending. Hardships and happiness walk hand in hand after all. Every hard moment is followed by a happy one. So you know that Simeon will be okay. And you genuinely hope that he will be okay. As a sorcerer you can always ensure his safety even if he can't do it himself. He is your everything. His feelings mean a lot to you. And you are genuinely worried about him.
-I love you, Simeon. You mean so much to me. You and your feelings. Remember that. –You whisper against his lips and pull away to embrace him instead. He relaxes into your arms and smiles warmly.
-Thank you, MC. I love you too. Just as much.. –He murmurs and kisses your temple. As the day continues you and Simeon make a lot of happy memories and you know that he feels at ease around you. You're sure that you helped Simeon forget about his troubles even if it is just for a day. The fact makes you happy and heals the deep concern about the troubled angel.

PRESENTING . . . TRASH CANDY ── ✦ ───
Tumblr media
‿︵ ONESHOTS
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone. This is Cian and this is an oneshot request page! I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, but whenever I attempted it on Wattpad, it was always a flop. I wish this won't be the case here. I'll be taking ship requests from a variety of media. I will not limit it to a particular fandom, solely because I'm part of a whole bunch and I wanna write for most of them if given the chance. While sending in your request, keep in mind, there are a few rules to this. They are on my profile, so please read them and make sure you understand them well!
Tumblr media
I present to you the ships that I'm able to write about. I prefer some more than others and that will be represented. Red for favorites, blue for not favorites but great, and orange for okay. You can request ships outside of this list, but I cannot guarantee that I will do them. Long story short, here is the complete list of the ships!

For my job to become easier, you will have to include the following information in your request: ship, plot (preferably a detailed version), any triggers you might have, and any headcanons or extra stuff you would like. If at least the first three aren't mentioned, I will pretend like you never commented in the first place. I hope you enjoy my oneshots hehe!

Heaven’s Jewel ~ Diavolo
Tumblr media
(( Honestly, this gif was cute, but it’s completely unrelated to the story x As well as that, to get some more relevancy to the story, I will use the name “Seraphine” for the reader, because she is going to be a Seraph, and describing her appearance would make much more sense with some particularities ^^ ))
---
Seraphine, otherwise known as the Heaven’s Jewel, God’s most favourite Seraph, as she was his most devout, his most beloved, his most beautiful angel, always by his side...Was forced to leave Heaven.
It’s not that she was against it, it was more like, she never had a choice of her own regarding her life, hence why she found refuge in praying and worshipping God during all days and nights, without rest.
Ever since she was a low-ranking angel, at her very beginnings, she showed immense potential, so Laila and Abbadon, two regular angels that were tasked with finding the perfect she-angel, forcefully recruited her, to make her become the perfect angel, and as well as that, the perfect lawful and obedient traditional wife.
Her role was now to become the perfect wife for her future husband, the future Prince of Devildom, Diavolo, as his father started pressuring him to find someone to marry and properly rule the Underworld - The only catch was that she wasn’t the only candidate, nor was she the sole race, and she was nervous.
Seraphine never knew what life was, only doing what she was taught and commanded, in fear of disappointing everyone in the Celestial Realm, especially God, so she tried her best, despite how bad it made her feel.
The fated day appeared, and Seraphine was garbed in the most pure angel robes, her long, pale pink hair cascading down her shoulders in graceful and effortless waves, as Laila brushed it.
“You know what you have to do, Seraphine. Just like we taught you. Hide your face and feet and only talk to us or the Prince, and that, only whispering in our ears. We don’t want anyone else to hear your voice, alright? They are not worthy of hearing a Seraph’s voice.” Laila spoke strictly, as she put a blue bow in her hair, and helped her get up. “Now get in your Angel form and let’s go. We don’t want the Prince to wait. You MUST succeed, no matter what. This is the connection that God wants, you mustn’t disappoint Him.” she warned, looking at her with cold eyes.
The girl only nodded, standing and turning into her Angelic form, her pink hair turning iridescent, 3 pairs of long, majestic wings that resembled matching iridescent feathers and light emanating from them, as she used the top pair to cover her face, and the bottom one to cover her feet, as the rule said, using the middle one to fly together with her two companions to the Castle, where they were greeted and guided by the steward into the large ball room where the auburn haired Demon Prince was awaiting with a huge welcoming grin on his face.
She knew she should peak through the feathers, but she couldn’t help but look with one eye at the man in front of her, but only that, as she didn’t want to attract attention, and she knew she’d be too intimidated by the other candidates.
His voice was so warm and inviting, she didn’t understand how he could be a Demon, as Laila and Abbadon would only preach how gruesome and malefic these Underworld being can be...But how can someone so cheerful be malevolent?
Succubi, demons, lower angels, vampires, fairies, werewolves, even humans and many more other races came to get a chance for wealth and power from this kind man in front of them, but no matter how much they tried to fake it, Diavolo could easily discern truth from lie.
And even so, his amber eyes were fixated on the highest ranking angel in the room, as she quite literally emanated light, kindness, warmth, safety and love, solely with her presence, and so, he was attracted to her like moths to the light.
Of course, as soon as Seraphine realised he was smiling at her, her eyes widened, so she quickly covered her face again, putting even her hands on her face to cover the blush of embarrassment as she was already screwing up.
This cute gesture seemed to warm up the Prince’s heart, however, as he chuckled mirthfully, commenting on her beauty.
“My, and I thought Lucifer was beautiful. You are, by far, ethereal, for lack of better words existing in any vocabulary. You must be Seraphine, am I correct?” Diavolo spoke, but as soon as she heard the familiar name being spoken, she gasped quietly, and scattered her feathers slightly, looking at him with her doe-like aquamarine eyes, almost as if they were trying to scream ‘Do you know Lucifer?’.
She quickly looked at her companions to earn the approval to talk, and as soon as they nodded, she slowly stepped to the Prince’s side, lifting her upper wings only by a little, to allow her to put a hand to his ear and whisper.
“Yes, my name is Seraphine, it’s great to finally meet you, Your Highness. You mentioned Lucifer...Do you perhaps know him?” the girl’s voice was soft and crystal-like, almost sending shivers down the Demon’s spine, and that alone was enough of a sign to convince him that she as the one.
Hell, he didn’t even care if he was going to marry her or not, but he wanted to have her by his side, to talk to her, to see her, to get to know her. He was sure he would eventually, or rather said, very soon, fall in love with her...But could such a pure and innocent being be able to grow feelings for a being so immoral and evil as he was?
In the end, Diavolo obviously chose Seraphine, and now, a long period of getting to know each other was going to follow, where she was going to stay by his side at all times, and act like the traditional wife she was supposed to be.
That night, in the grand bedroom of the Prince, Diavolo was dressed in his sleepingwear, while the girl was standing there, quite awkwardly, next to the door, her wings still hiding her, as she wasn’t sure what she was supposed to do, and quite frankly, the idea of a ‘Bedding Ceremony’, as Abbadon called it, frightened her greatly.
Seeing her distress, Diavolo the quick to ease her worries, as he stood in front of her, speaking to her with an almost uncharacteristic sweet tone.
“Seraphine, dear, you don’t have to worry. I saw how they were treating you, but here, things are different. Nobody will tell you what to do. In fact, you can do whatever you want. If it will make you feel more comfortable, you can sleep in my room, and I will go to another one, I don’t mind. Oh, and you don’t have to keep this form if you don’t want to, most demons here, including me, prefer to keep a more casual form.” he told her as a way to ease her worries, which seemed to have an effect on her, despite still being reluctant.
Covering her face with her hands, she let the halo and wings disappear, as she stepped to the side, going on her tippy-toes to whisper in his ear, only to have him gently grab her wrists, putting them away from her face, gazing tenderly at her glowing, innocent face.
“Let me hear your beautiful voice, Seraphine. You don’t have to whisper any longer. Actually, I believe hearing your voice will be quite a blessing for everyone here.” he reassured her once again, as she nodded slightly, looking down, not able to look him in the eyes, due to the shyness. “A-Are you sure it is alright for me to speak so freely to other demons?” she asked in a quiet voice, but she was making progress. “Of course! You see, I believe in the equality of races, and above anything else, I wish to bring the Human World, the Celestial Realm and the Devildom together, to live in harmony. In fact, that is why I created an exchange-student program, and we even have 2 angels and 2 humans here.” he guided her to the sofa, where he lounged casually, while she stood stiff and upright, until the man chuckled and eased her into a more comfortable position. “I don’t understand...You seem light such a lovely person...You go out of your way to make sure I’m alright...And yet, I only heard terrible things of your kin. I-It’s not fair...” she hugged her knees to herself, before noticing the subtle frown on his face. “I-I-I’m sorry, forgive me for speaking out of place! I-I didn’t mean to offend you! I’m not used to...Speaking too much.” she hid her face with her hands once again, earning a soft chuckle. “Don’t worry, you didn’t offend me. I know there are countless prejudices, especially from lower-ranking demons...Even Lucifer refused to look at me, since I was not worthy, even a long time after he became one of the fallen.” Diavolo grinned playfully as he noticed the girl perk up as soon as she heard that name. “Lucifer...Is here as well...?” she looked at him with wide, hopeful eyes. “Of course. He has been here since the Celestial War. He was one of the Seraphim, along with you, wasn’t he?” Diavolo asked, already knowing the answer. “Yes...He was God’s most favourite angel, while I was Heaven’s Jewel. But he wasn’t alone. I always envied him for being allowed to stay with his brothers...I used to look up to him for his courage. And then, he rebelled, and they followed. The place became empty and dull...Almost like it lost its colour.” she explained the situation with obvious sorrow in her eyes. “Hmm...I have an idea! How would you like to become one of the exchange students? Surely, that would prove to be fun for you, and Lucifer and his brothers will be great guides for you. This place is always lively with them around.” Diavolo suggested, making the girl look at him with an expression that was starting to have life. “I-Is that really okay? I don’t want to be a bother to anyone! I don’t know how to behave around other people...And if they find out about...Us...They might treat me with more privilege and respect than I deserve, and I wouldn’t want that.” Seraphine pointed out, biting her lip softly. “Hahaha, don’t worry about that! The only people who are going to know are Barbatos, my steward, and maybe the angels who came here. If you don’t want, I won’t even tell Lucifer or his brothers. That’s going to make for even more fun.” he laughed mirthfully imagining that. “With so many different and unique individuals, there’s no way you’re going to be able to stay hidden in your little timid shell. I can see you are a curious little fawn, you just needed to be released from your cage. Now it’s your chance to see the world. You’re not going to cause anyone trouble, I promise. In fact, I’m positive your presence is going to be very welcomed by everyone.” Diavolo extended his hand towards her, to help her up, before planting a soft kiss on her forehead, making her look at him with great confusion. “What was that?” she asked in a voice barely above a whisper. “That, my dear, was a sign of affection. It was a kiss.” he answered, looking fondly at her blushing cheeks. “Affection...? What is that?” she asked once again, not sure of herself. “It’s a way to show that you care for someone dear to you.” he explained once again, with never ending patience. “That...Means that you care for me? Someone you just met a few hours ago? Is that possible?” she blinked in utter surprise at him. “Of course. Some people are just that special. And besides, by the look on your face, I’m quite sure you feel the same way about me, you just don’t realise that yet. It’s getting late, you should go sleep now. Barbatos is going to come by tomorrow morning and prepare you for school. Sweet dreams, Seraphine.” he smiled gently at her as he exited the room, leaving her all alone, confused and with a myriad of mixed emotions.
Quite frankly, she has never experienced so much turmoil...Or rather said, hasn’t felt since the descending of Lucifer and his brothers, where she only watched with jealousy, as she wanted to do the same, but couldn’t, out of fear and restrained.
Diavolo was right, she was nothing more than a caged bird, an animal shackled and raised only for the purpose of forming an allegiance with the future Demon King...But Diavolo...He seemed to not care at all about these trivial things.  He seemed to genuinely care for her well-being and how she fares in this new place that she was brought against her will - He even let her sleep in his own bedroom, just to make sure she was comfortable.
She wasn’t used to such kindness, but she wasn’t going to turn it down.  She was going to make the best out of this situation and learn how to be herself, her curious little self, the one that has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and wants to see the world, every inch of it.
---
The next day, Barbatos came to serve her breakfast in bed, while informing her that she would be staying 5 days a week in the House of Lamentation as a guest, so she’ll have to adapt to living with Lucifer and his brothers, and how the elder brother is going to be her guide around their Dorms and RAD...Royal Academy of Diavolo.
With such a name, there’s sure to be lots of fun around.
As soon as she saw the brunet man, he looked at her with wide eyes, incredibly shocked at seeing the girl in front of him, dressed in her usual day to day angelic outfit, and even more, hearing she’ll be studying there for the rest of the year.
“My, I wouldn’t have expected the most beloved Jewel to somehow end up in a place like this, especially with those low-lives constantly around her. Tell me, how did you manage?” Lucifer smirked, seeing the girl pout. “We finally get to properly talk, after seeing each other for so many centuries, and the first thing you decide to do is jab at me. How cruel.” she shook her head, a playful smile on her face, before stopping stiff and looking at him with a worried expression, covering her mouth with her hands, as per the habit imbued in her. “I wasn’t mean, was I? I’m so sorry if I was, Lucifer, I didn’t mean to, I-I just-” she fussed over her words, only to have him genuinely chuckle at her attempt to apologise. “You worry over nothing. We are demons, you’re not going to offend anyone by being a shy little rabbit. In fact, I believe my brothers are going to fuss over you quite a lot. And if that wasn’t enough, Simeon and Luke are sure to steal you away from us.” he put his arm around the girl’s shoulder, as he felt himself at peace, much lighter and content, as he showed her around the place, until they had to go to class and Lucifer introduced the girl to everyone, earning a lot of gasps.
Of course, the girl couldn’t concentrate too much on the boring lecture, as she already knew everything that was being explained...After all, she was one of the Seraphim, she wouldn’t be worthy of one, and especially not one fated to marry the future King of Devildom, if she didn’t know such basic knowledge, so she indulged into doodling some flowers, waiting eagerly for the class to end, so she could talk to everyone, realising that the nervousness she felt was being overshadowed by curiosity and eagerness.
When the class ended, there were only the brothers and the angels left, while the girl could only blush softly from all the attention and wave as a greeting.
“It’s great seeing you again, Seraphine. I wasn’t quite expecting you to be brought here as an exchange student, but I’m more than happy to see more familiar faces.” Simeon’s gentle voice spoke up the first. “But! But! Why would you accept?! You’re a Seraph, this place is tainted! You shouldn’t have to taint yourself, you could have refused!” Luke whined in confusion and opposition. “Oh great, the Chihuahua is yappin’ again.” Mammon chuckled in amusement. “Chihuahua...? Y-You mean Luke? You nicknamed him Chihuahua?!” she had to cover her mouth to stop herself from laughing, but in her eyes, a sparkle of amusement was obvious. “How dare you call me that! I may be a low-ranking angel, but I’ll have you know, I report directly to the Archangel Michael!” Luke started trashing around in anger, making the girl unable to stop her giggles, making everyone around her quiet, as her voice was nothing less than a loving lullaby to their ears. “I-I guess I can see the resemblance now.” she joked around, making the others chuckle as well. “H-How c-can you say that?!” Luke almost looked like he could cry, which made the girl pat his head gently. “We’re just teasing, don’t worry, we mean you no harm. Liven up a bit.” she smiled softly, which seemed to brighten up the whole classroom. “Hey, Seraphine, wanna play video games with me?” Levi practically bounced on his place, with a huge grin. “Sure, that would be fun, but you’ll have to teach me first. Please go easy on me!” she nodded eagerly. “Ehh? No, Raphie’s going to come shopping with me! Oh, I can even go to Diavolo and propose to let me design her uniform!” Asmo hugged the girl tightly, rubbing his face to hers, like a kitten. “O-Oi, Asmo, get the hell away from her! And besides, Seraphine’s comin’ gamblin’ with me! I’m sure she’d like to see different things from up there, right?” Mammon suggested, proud of himself. “Then, would you like to go to a restaurant with me, Seraphine? Taste the Devildom cuisine for the first time?” Beel smiled softly. “And then I can show you the best places to take a nap.” Belphie’s smile mimicked that of his twin’s. “And we can go to various book shops and cat cafes and discuss book and movie theories, if you’d like.” Satan suggested as well. “Do I really get no time with her? How selfish you all are.” Lucifer scoffed in annoyance. “Don’t worry, we have a whole year to spend together. I will allow all the free time I have for all of you!”  she flashed them a dazzling smile, and everyone seemed to calm down.
Of course, every day, she’d get caught up in one of the brothers’ endless shenanigans, and each night, she’d text and call Diavolo to ramble about her day and the new things she discovered, only to go full-hype when weekend came and she was able to go see him and spend the whole day with him.
From drinking tea together and gossiping, to having strolls around either Devildom or the Human world, seeing the sunrise and sunset together, going ice-skating, or watching a movie together, they didn’t even realise how much their feelings for each other started to grow.
She told him how her and Mammon had to hide from Lucifer as he got mad for going and wasting money on gambling, so she wrapped her wings around him to hide them from his elder brother.
She twirled around in her new uniform that had the colours of the Celestial Realm, but the pattern from RAD, so she learnt not to be embarrassed with showing skin, since it wasn’t improper, as she was told, and even better, that her and Asmo were designing the perfect dress for him, and they were looking around for materials.
She told him about all the wonderful books she read as per Satan’s recommendation, and even showed him the magic spells, just like in Harrison Porter’s book series.
She told him how she missed class one day because her and Levi were caught binge-playing video games all night long and weren’t able to wake up, and thus, she did the “this book is too high for me, can you help me?” trick on him, that she learnt from one of his dating sims, which amused Diavolo a lot, despite Lucifer being confused as hell.
She told him how Beel paid to show her all the best food around Devildom, so she could get a bite from all of them, and after that, Belphie guided them to the roof, where the breeze was just perfect, like the sight of the City, and they took a nap on his cow-patterned pillow.
And of course, last but not least, she told him how she tried to help Lucifer ease up, since he’s not a robot without feelings, and he should learn how to communicate and understand his family better, otherwise all his benevolent intentions will become misinterpreted.
That night, she stood on his lap, in his bed, as they gossiped carelessly, not caring that he was THE Prince and she was THE Jewel.  No, they were just Diavolo and Seraphine, two beings from different races, who understood each other and got along so well, despite all odds being against them.
“Hey, Hey, Dia. Can you show me your Demon form again? I didn’t quite get to see you then.” she grinned happily at him, as he could only chuckle and transform right under her in his true self. “Are you happy now?” he teased her lightly. “Ohhh, I knew it! You have gold ornaments on your horns! Ahhh, so pretty!” she exclaimed, running her fingers softly on his horns. “What is it like? To have horns? Does it hurt whenever you get back in your true form? Do you ever bump into things because of them?” she asked, not caring for even a second about the inhibitions she had in the past. “Hahaha, no, they don’t hurt, but I quite like when you touch them like that. And no, I never bumped into anything...No, actually, I did, when I was hurrying and opened a door, only for it to hit my horns and slam shut.” he laughed mirthfully, as he put his arms around her waist. “No waaaaay, poor dear! That must have been funny to watch!” she giggled, turning her head around to look at his bat-like wings, reaching out to touch them, only to stop immediately in her tracks, looking at him with an apologetic smile.. “Why did you stop?” Diavolo tilted his head in confusion like a lost puppy. “I forgot to ask for permission, I’m sorry. They are so beautiful, I forgot myself...Nobody ever touched my wings, so I would feel uncomfortable too if I were you.” she scratched the back of her head with a guilty smile. “If it’s you, I don’t mind. You are welcomed to touch them whenever you feel like it. Your touch does lots of things to me.” Diavolo chuckled lowly, but the girl paid no mind, as she started stroking them. “If it relaxes you, I’m happy. They are so soft too, woaw! This is amazing!” she grinned, as he used his wing to caress her cheek, making her giggle even more. “Will you show me yours now? It’s only fair, isn’t it?” he smirked playfully, as the girl looked at him with wide eyes, as she started blushing furiously. “Is that how you demons do things? Someone asks you something, and then you ask for something in return?” she jabbed back with no shame at all. “Forgive me, it’s in my nature to be a little jerk like that.” he chuckled lightly, as he got busted. “Well...Since it’s you...I guess it can’t hurt.” she muttered, looking away as she transformed in her Seraph form, and instinctively, she hid her form with her wings. “Your beauty never ceases to amaze me, Seraphine.” Diavolo’s voice became much softer, as he gently pulled away the wings to see her radiating face, as the whole room was engulfed with a divine light that seemed to ease his heart. “Don’t flatter me, Diavolo, you’re making me feel weird...” she muttered, looking down timidly. “I’m just telling the truth! You truly are the most ethereal being I have ever laid my eyes upon.” he confessed, caressing her face softly, looking at her with such a tender look that it made her heart skip a few beats. “Now I understand how Lucifer feels whenever you throw a bunch of random compliments at him.” she only blushed further, closing her eyes, feeling the warm touch of his hands. “That is true, but nothing compares to your cute face. But that’s only for me to see.” he chuckled, as he started stroking some of her feathers with one hand, while the other was snaked around her waist, pulling her flush against his bare chest, to stop her from jerking away in shyness. “You’re merciless.” she bit her lip, burying her face in the crook of his neck as her hands found refuge on his tanned chest. “Won’t you touch me more? Your touch is making me feel...What is the correct term...Heavenly.” he let himself hit the pillow and he guided her delicate hands down his chest, as the girl could only look at him with confusion. “I don’t really understand...How can my touch make you feel as good as you say?” she spoke with such innocence and naivite that it took every ounce of self-control the Demon Prince possessed not to hurry and taint her...He needed all the patience he has, and it will be worth it, for both of them. “If you’re that confused, tell me what you feel now.” he put his hand on the back of her head, slowly leaning her down to kiss her gently, her wings spreading completely as she melted into the kiss. “By your reaction, I can see that you liked it.” “...Heavenly.” she giggled softly, making the man laugh at her choice of words, as he pulled her gently beneath her, brushing away the hair from her face, and putting his forehead to hers.  “I love you, Seraphine. My days are always brighter when you’re by my side.” he confessed softly, kissing her once again, with more fire this time. “I love you, Diavolo. Thank you for choosing me...And for having so much patience with me.” she looked at him with so much love, a few tears glistening in her azure eyes, like diamonds in the mirror sheen of the ocean.
There was only one heartbeat, one soul, one body, and one love, as feelings were overflowing from both of them, and it seemed like the room’s temperature went up by 30 degrees at least.
---
Almost a year passed since Seraphine was sent to Devildom, and the exchange student program was almost at the end, which was rather sad, but even so, with how successful this was, Diavolo was sure something like this would happen again pretty soon, so more fun will happen.
However, that day, as Seraphine and Lucifer were walking down the RAD’s corridors, chatting casually, as all of a sudden, two beads of light appeared in front of them, only to reveal Laila and Abbadon.
“Uh...Hello? Long time no see?” the girl looked at them with a weird look on her face. “What is this behaviour?! Walking and talking out loud so casually with a Fallen? In such a skimpy outfit? And you’re not even hiding, like a true Seraphim would?! This is not how we raised you!” Laila yelled at her, making both Seraphine and Lucifer look at them with wide eyes. “...I don’t see what’s the problem. I’m not under your control anymore, so why are you talking like that to me? As long as Diavolo has no problem with what I’m doing, I don’t see why you should.” she shrugged nonchalantly, as Abbadon got in front of her, towering over her small form, his eyes holding strictness and harshness, as he grabbed her shoulders. “You are not fit to be the Wife of the future Demon Lord! You have become a disgrace...You stink of demon...You are tainted! We are taking you straight home for a purifying ritual. What a disappointment you turned out to be!” his rough voice growled at her, but for the first time, none of their threats had any effect on her. “You are in Devildom, you have no authority here. Lord Diavolo is the only one who is allowed any say in any matter in this place, so I suggest you watch you tongue, you are out of place here, angels.” Lucifer defended the girl, as he glared at them. “How DARE you speak to me with that vermin tongue of yours, you, Fallen?” Abbadon’s grip tightened on her shoulder. “Back off, or I will be forced to take action. You are on the property and under the rule of my soon to be husband, so I suggest you go away without a fight.” she slapped away his hand with ease. “You?! What can YOU do?! You are nothing more than an obedient little puppet for everyone to do as they please with you!” Laila chimed in, making the girl shake her head, hearing the other brothers rush to see what was going on. “I’m not sure you realised, but almost a year passed since you left me here. you think I am the same timid rabbit that used to hide? The one that you made me? Goodness, no, this time, I am myself. And I will have to remind you that yes, I AM Diavolo’s future wife, but that doesn’t mean that I am not also Heaven’s Jewel, also known as the most powerful angel in the Celestial Realm. And what are you? Some low-ranking angels? Are you even on Luke’s level? I mean, he DOES report to Michael, doesn’t he? While all you do is waste time. So please, leave now before you anger me. I am an angel, I wouldn’t want to give in to petty sins.” she flipped her long hair, looking at them with a bored, yet defying look in her eyes. “Diavolo’s wife?! What?!” were the collective gasps she heard from around her, making her groan in annoyance. “Great, look what you’ve done. This was supposed to be a secret until later on. Now you ruined it.” she shook her head in disdain. “It’s clear that Diavolo is unfit to become the future ruler of this hell hole! He can’t even control a stupid little angel, and what’s more, he picked up all the Fallen strays from the street, like he’s some garbage collector-” Abbadon started barking, but the girl, with a simple swish of her hand, was sent flying into the wall, breaking it. “Don’t you know it’s rude to talk trash about someone’s husband like that? Especially some low-lives like you who aren’t even the scum in the trash, compared to him. And if you continue to talk...You shall receive Divine Punishment...” her voice became lower, threatening, which seemed to send shivers down everyone’s spines. “You have dishonored the whole Celestial Realm, Seraphine! You don’t deserve to be one of the Seraphim! I will report to God and we shall have you removed! You will linger with these tainted Fallens for all eternity!” Laila threatened, as she helped Abbadon stand up, and they transformed in their angel forms, as Diavolo came by, putting his hands on Seraphine’s shoulders from behind. “I can feel the anger seething through you, darling. What is it that you want to do? I allow you to Punish them. This is my kingdom, and they came here, uninvited, out of their own accord, and insulted both rulers of this place. They are free kill, if it will make you feel better.” Diavolo spoke poison, just like a snake, in her ear. “What, the Prince is not even strong enough, so he needs his guard bitch to do the dirty work?!” Abbadon growled in pain. “With pleasure!” she grinned widely, as she stepped towards them menacingly, transforming into her angel form, and creating a large sword out of thin air. “Now you shall learn why nobody should oppose Heaven’s Jewel, dears.” she giggled darkly, as she summoned thorny vines to shackle them, as she impaled both of them.
Of course, that wouldn’t kill them, but it will serve for just the perfect amount of torturous agony for a long time.
“My Queen is absolutely breathtaking, don’t you think, Lucifer?” Diavolo hugged Seraphine from behind, rubbing his face to hers like a kitten would, only to bump the top of her head slightly with his horns. “Remember when you said you only hit the door with your horns? Add my head to the list...Because ouch, that hurt.” she shook her head, only to chuckle lightly, all the negative emotions flying away in an instant. “Why have you never told me you and Seraphine were going to get married?” Lucifer looked at Diavolo with a betrayed look. “Only Barbatos knew. We thought that if you, or anyone, for the matter, were to know, she’d be treated differently, and that wouldn’t have been fun. We wanted her to have fun and find herself and who she truly is, and hanging around with all of you helped a lot.” Diavolo chuckled as Lucifer’s frown turned into a smile, as he nodded. “Yes, you are correct, as usual. I’m happy for you two.” Lucifer congratulated, followed by the rest of the brothers. “Can I design your wedding dress?!” Asmo cheered in glee. “Can I be the Ring-Bearer?” Satan asked. “Lucifer’s definitely going to be the Best Man, so can I be the Maid of Honour?!” Levi chuckled enthusiastically. “Then can I come with the music?!” Mammon chimed in. “I’m in charge of the food.” Beel smiled softly. “I’d like to help with the decorations, then.” Belphie leaned on his twin brother, with a sleepy smile. “I say yes to all of them!” Seraphine grinned, putting her arms around Diavolo’s neck, resting on her tippy toes to reach him, as she looked at him with a tender look. “It’s going to be one hell of a Wedding, hmm~?” Diavolo chuckled, snaking his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. “Hella~!” she grinned, leaning in to kiss with passionately, as her wings unconsciously wrapped around him. “That’s the gorgeous smile that I love to see.” his own wings wrapped protectively around her as well.
As soon as their kiss ended, she put her palms together and made a snow-white pure Lily flower, putting it in his hair, smiling softly at him. Grinning back, he created a flower crown of dark blue hydrangeas, putting it on her head.
“There you go. Now you are officially my Queen. You even have the crown to match!” Diavolo joked playfully, making everyone chuckle at the future Devil King’s antics.

Oo, on the topic of sandwiches... what are your thought on Simeon x MC x Lucifer? I feel like there could be so much baggage, but there’s also just... so much history and room for healing and reconciliation? Simeon is already really trying to reach out to Lucifer and reconnect, but he’s also so struggling in his day to day life with letting people in and seeing the uglier sides of himself. Or it could be just fucking angst. Like I can see it going over one of two ways - an oscar worthy dramatic romance with so many heartfelt confessions, or a Greek Tragedy. Yay or nae, I ask?
I feel bad bc I've actually got another ask about this pairing, and the answer I came to after writing about it was kinda... Nay?
That's not to say the ship is completely unworkable, but to be honest, it's something that you'd put in a longfic, one where Luci and Simeon are both getting character development and a whole reconciliation arc.
As they are in the game, though... there are some problems.
Now, Lucifer is actually a surprisingly Good Boy when it comes to sharing MC in the story.
He arranges for you to have equal time with the brothers, and he even doesn't hesitate to send you to spend time with one of his brothers if the situation calls for it.
So Lucifer, I could actually see sharing... with his brothers. And with Diavolo, he's obviously friendly, respectful.
But these are all people Lucifer knows well. People he's close to. People whose happiness he considers his responsibility.
Simeon... is not on that list, not really. Although in later seasons, Lucifer does start to warm up to him, but early on, their relationship is definitely pretty chilly. At least, on Lucifer's side.
Simeon is quite an archetypal angel, trying to get along with Lucifer, sidestepping and ignoring loads of barbed comments and even outright rejection.
(hmmmMMmm I wonder who else tells us he won't take no for an answer? and not nearly as nicely as Simeon goes about it-)
Lucifer likes the Devildom. He likes being a demon. He feels like it suits him, more than the Celestial Realm ever did.
Simeon... is an angel. Simeon was a seraph, the highest rank of angel (the rank Lucifer was), when Lucifer first rebelled.
There's enough to unpack between them without you getting in the middle of it. If you are in the middle of it...
-
I can see a much more competitive, and possibly even aggressive angle with this than other sandwiches.
Lucifer doesn't want you to leave him. He doesn't want you to leave his brothers, and the people in the Devildom who care about you. He, in particular, doesn't want you in the Celestial Realm, a place he despised enough to rebel against.
Leaving him for Simeon is probably like... one step below leaving him for Michael. Or going whole hog and leaving him for his father to become a nun -
So his investment in the sandwich is very much. Assert his position. Keep his hold on you. Make sure you don't run away with the angel.
Simeon himself is tangentially interested in mending things with Lucifer, but also of course quite genuinely in love with you.
To be honest, there's gonna be some tension over that. Lucifer would be pretty quick to pick at any perceived fault on Simeon's part. Not super aggressively, but definitely with disdain.
As for Simeon, he's pretty much completely immune. There's not much Lucifer can do to him. Even the most barbed remarks will be either brushed off or ignored completely.
Or worse, Simeon will respond to Lucifer with compliments. A remark on his embarrassing texting skills will be met with a, "You're much better at it than I am, aren't you, Lucifer? You even gave a name to our private chat!"
(it definitely pisses off Lucifer, in this case because Lucifer named his chat with Simeon "Brothers No More". you know. so that Simeon would. Get the message)
You won't be going on many dates with them both at once, primarily because Lucifer won't want to.
However, I can see him hanging out with you while you're with Simeon. Mostly to keep you and Simeon from getting too close.
Over time, he might grow more comfortable with the arrangement, and even fonder of Simeon, as he seems to in the main game.
Lucifer can speak and act towards Simeon on perfectly amiable terms, of course, and he does that even in Season 1.
But that's because Simeon is a guest from another realm. The group chat is named "Brothers No More" and Lucifer often straight up ignores Simeon's texts.
It's actually pretty amazing watching Simeon take it like a champion tbh. He's not perturbed in the least, and I suspect that behavior might bother Lucifer - just like your nosiness does before you and Luci get close.
With you around, maybe they can manage some genuine interactions. If you make a group chat Lucifer might just leave unless he sees Simeon flirting with you XD
Overall... honestly, I don't see it ending in any tragic heartbreak (unless you leave Lucifer for Simeon) but I don't think they could really get close enough for things to work as well as some of the other sandwiches.
Even if Simeon were to fall and become a demon, I'm not sure if Lucifer would ever see him like family, the way he sees his brothers.
The baggage between them is something that would be exacerbated by a sandwich, I think, and not fixed by it. It's something they'd need to work out on an individual level if it were ever going to go away completely.
In any case... they're both very intelligent people, but a sandwich here is very much like being in a relationship with both of them individually.
Simeon and Lucifer will leave you to your other lover as you please, but this isn't going to be much of a threesome where you're all in synch.

Chapter Summary: MC has a rude awakening when Michael orders her to go to the Devildom. Some pleasant and unpleasant first impressions of the brothers.
Author's Note: My story will follow some events from the Obey Me! game, but will deviate since MC is an angel.

You march into Michael’s office unannounced, a small letter in your grasp.
“Michael, what is this?” You hold up the paper to show him.
“MC, it’s rude to enter without knocking,” he scolds you. “It’s an exchange program. You’ve been chosen along with two other angels to go to Devildom.”
“Yeah, I can read that! Why do I have to go?” Michael sighs and meets your upset gaze.
“It’s to improve relations. And as Lucifer’s replacement it’s your duty to engage in these politics.” Michael places his hand on your shoulder in a friendly manner. “I know it’s been tough, and I know you’re still learning, but you will go.” His tone changes, much more serious this time.
“Yes sir.” You turn to leave his office.
“Oh and MC? Check up on Lucifer for me.”
“Yes sir.”
You left his office, and started towards your home. There was so much to do, but so little time; Michael must’ve sprung this up on you so you wouldn’t get much of a say. You looked down at the letter to see who the other angels were: Simeon and Luke. Simeon was a familiar name, you never got to meet him, but you knew he was close to Michael. Luke, on the other hand, you had no idea who he was. There were thousands of angels in the Celestial Realm so that wasn’t too surprising.
You packed your essentials, and said your goodbyes to close friends. Michael said he’d take care of your duties - which worried you. Were you not doing a good enough job? Was he going to replace you? Shaking your head, you told yourself not to worry. You only had to get through one year; and one year was nothing compared to the lifetime you lived.
One year in the Devildom.
One year with Lucifer.
***
It was early morning, the sky was bright and the air was fresh. Rolling to your side, you saw your luggage sitting next to the door. You jolted up.
“I thought that was a bad dream.” Rubbing your temple, you get out of bed and quickly get ready. There wasn’t a time written on the letter, but it was safe to assume you were already late. You rushed to the gates, and saw the other two other angels.
“I can’t believe we’re getting sent to the Devildom! There’s demons there!” The small boy complained.
“Well, demons need a home, too,” the other one teased.
Michael was also there.
“Ah, MC, you’re late.”
“I’m sorry. I -”
“This is Simeon and Luke, you should get to know them,” he interrupted you.
You shook their hands and introduced yourself. Never having met either angel, you were surprised with their looks. Simeon was absolutely gorgeous - formed by God himself. Luke, well, he was much younger than you anticipated; he must’ve only been a thousand years old - if that.
“Alright, it’s time to go. Be on your best behavior, you three represent the Celestial Realm.”
Everyone nods, and heads into the portal, one by one. You look back, saying a temporary goodbye to your beloved home.
Stepping out of the portal, the first thing you notice is how dark the environment is. The second thing you notice is that you’re in a large council room with a group of young men.
“Welcome to the Devildom,” a handsome man with red hair says. “I’m Lord Diavolo.”
You nod, giving a small smile, your stomach is doing flips.
“This is Lucifer -” Lord Diavolo continues his speech, but at the mention of Lucifer you tune out. Your eyes travel up and down him, trying to engrain his image to your brain. Never had you met him, only hearing the stories about him and his brothers. He looked mean.
“MC?” Lord Diavolo calls out again.
“Ah, yes?” Your cheeks light up, he kindly chuckles at your embarrassment.
“I was asking about what you do back home?”
“I-I’m a seraph.”
“You look young to be a seraph,” Lucifer responds boredly. Holding back the urge to roll your eyes, you cross your arms.
“I was created right after the war. In fact, I’ll be promoted to an Archangel after my training.”
Lucifer scoffs at this.
“You really think Michael would make you an Archangel?”
“I am your replacement, after all.”
He didn’t have a comeback for that, and by the look on Lord Diavolo’s face, he was not to continue quarreling. You meet the rest of the brothers: Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmo, and Beel. Perhaps your memory was jumbled up when you walked through the portal - you swore there was another brother. They have interesting personalities to say the least, you were glad you didn’t need to interact with them that much.
“Lord Diavolo, where will we be staying?” You assumed you three angels would be lodged together - oh how you assumed wrong.
“Right, well, there’s another exchange student - he’s a human. He’s requested to stay with angels so that he can learn more about them.”
“Okay, that’s no problem.”
“The problem is Purgatory Hall only has three rooms. And I’ve been told that Simeon is Luke’s guardian. I doubt you’ll want to share a room with another man, so the only other option is the House of Lamentation.”
“House of Lamentation?”
“It’s where we reside,” Satan speaks up. “Oh and it’s haunted.” Was he trying to scare you?
“It ain’t haunted! Stop talkin’ like that before you invite spirits in!” Squeals Mammon.
“Both of you, enough.” Lucifer grabs Mammon by the collar. “You’re going to look after her, and make sure nothing happens to her, do you understand me?” Mammon mumbles complaints but is otherwise compliant.
“I don’t need a babysitter. I can protect myself.”
“You’ve never met a demon until today, you will be escorted for your duration here.” You disliked his smuggish tone. He thought he was better than you. A smart retort would have come out of your mouth had it not been for Simeon.
“MC, I’m going to take Luke to the Purgatory hall, I’ll see you later.”
“It was nice meeting you both.” You say your goodbyes and follow Mammon. The walk to the House of Lamentation was full of fussing coming from your demon counterpart.
“I can’t believe I’m stuck babysitting a dumb angel.”
“I’m not exactly thrilled about it either.” You mumbled. “In fact, there really is no reason for you to watch over me. After all, I am a powerful angel. Simeon doesn’t need a babysitter so I shouldn’t either.”
“That’s right! I just need to show you how to get around, but you can totally take care of yourself. Huh, you are smarter than you look.” He’s one to talk.
Mammon showed you around the town real quick and then led you to the House of Lamentation. You had gotten quite a few stares, your outfit made you stick out like a sore thumb. Your body was adorn with a flowy white dress with gold accents, and a gradient teal cape draped over your shoulders. You made a mental note to go shopping for clothes as soon as you could.
“Alright, this is it.” You entered through the front door - the house was grand, it was more like a mansion. Mammon led you to your room, said ‘see ya’, and left just as quick.
Sighing, you sit on your bed. The covers were pink, you wondered who was the last occupant. The day had barely started and you already felt overwhelmed. Had it been up to you, you would’ve just stayed in your room and avoided the brothers all together. But a single knock at your door ruined those plans. Getting up, you reached for the door knob and opened the door. In front of you was a giant - his name was Beel, right? You were having trouble keeping track.
“Hi, MC. I was wondering if you were hungry.” At that moment, your stomach started to growl. That’s right, you were in such a rush this morning that you didn’t get to eat. In response, Beel’s stomach growled right back. A small blush covered his cheeks. “Want to go get lunch?”
“Sure.” You followed Beel not knowing where he was taking you; he went on and on about Hell’s Kitchen and how delicious their food was, so it was safe to assume you were headed there.
The restaurant was fairly busy, and you could’ve swore you heard the staff groan when you both sat down.
“Do you come here often?” You cringed at yourself - that sounded like an awful pick up line. He didn’t seem to notice.
“Oh yeah, I know the menu by heart. And when they come up with new stuff, I’m always first in line.”
A waitress came by to take your orders. Beel ordered the whole menu and then some, the waitress then looked at you; you weren’t sure what to pick, so you guessed and hoped it would taste good.
“So, tell me about yourself Beel.” You placed your chin in your hand, giving him your undivided attention.
“Myself?” He ponders for a moment. “I’m the Avatar of Gluttony.” You nod, encouraging him to continue. “I’m the sixth-born. And...I have a twin brother.”
“Twin? Which one?”
“Belphie...you haven’t met him.” Your brows furrowed in confusion, so there was another brother.
“Where is he?” Beel adjusted in his seat and avoided your eye contact.
“I can’t say. Just don’t mention it to Lucifer, he’ll get really mad.” You decided to drop the topic, and just in time the food was being brought out.
***
The plan was to avoid the brothers, but after hanging out with Beel you decided he could be an exception. When you got back to the house everyone was actually there this time. As you walked back to your room, another demon stopped you - this time, Asmo.
“Ahh! You look so gorgeous! You must tell me your skincare routine right now!” He practically drags you to his room, not giving you a chance to protest. He sits you down at his vanity, poking and prodding at your cheeks. “You’re not wearing any makeup?” He gasps.
“No, Michael doesn’t really allow it. He says being too vain is a...sin…” You shut yourself up, quickly realizing you’re in front of the reason Michael says that. Asmo laughs.
“Well, Michael can’t tell you what to do down here. Please let me do your makeup!” Asmo has a good point - Michael wasn’t down here, and a little makeup wouldn’t be as sinful as he says.
“Okay, sure!”
Asmo worked on your face for about an hour and a half - to say he was a perfectionist felt like an understatement. You weren’t even allowed to look at your face until he was done; right then and there, you promised yourself to never let Asmo do your makeup ever again.
“Ta-da! I’m all done.” Asmo spun you around so you could look in the mirror. To say you looked beautiful was also an understatement.
“Wow…” You didn’t know what to say; your skin was flawless, your eye color popped, and your lips looked kissable.
“You look absolutely radiant.” For a moment you forgot where you were and you forgot who you were with, but you engulfed Asmo in a big hug - making sure not to ruin your makeup. “You’re welcome!”
“Would you want to go shopping one of these days? I really should get new clothes.” Asmo’s face lit up at the mention of shopping.
“Of course, darling! But what’s wrong with what you’re wearing now? I absolutely miss wearing my angel garbs.”
“It just grabs a lot of attention.” You hold up a hand to stop Asmo from interrupting. “I know what you’re going to say, attention isn’t always a bad thing. But, I just don’t want a bunch of demons to know I’m an angel.”
“Well the problem isn’t your clothes, MC.”
“What do you mean?”
“You literally radiate purity. All angels do. You can be dressed like a whore and they’d still know you’re an angel.”
“Oh, I suppose you have a point.”
“We can definitely still go shopping though!” You nod in agreement.
“That’s great! Well, I should probably go look for Lucifer and actually discuss what my day-to-day routine will look like.”
You gave Asmo a goodbye hug. Beel and Asmo would be the only two boys you don’t avoid - at least, you kept telling yourself that.
***
Walking around the house, you looked for Lucifer’s office. Michael always complimented Lucifer’s work habits - something you lacked in comparison. Now, you definitely weren’t lazy and your tasks were always completed, but because of Michael everything felt like a competition with someone who wasn’t even competing anymore.
You saw a door slightly cracked and peered in. Just your luck, it was Lucifer’s office. Barging in without knocking first, you find him at his desk full of papers.
“Hey, Lucifer, I’ve got a couple of questions about my time here.” You ask as you get a little too comfortable in one of his chairs.
“Do they not teach manners in the Celestial Realm anymore?” You recalled Michael always nagging about you barging in unwelcomed. Old habits do die hard.
“Oh, right. Sorry.” You sit up straight, feeling like you’re about to be scolded. Instead, Lucifer sighs and puts down his pen.
“What kind of questions?”
“Well, what am I going to be doing?”
“You’ll be attending RAD, just like the rest of us. You’ll learn the history of Devildom, law, potions, just like any other school.”
“School?” Your body slumped in disappointment; you had graduated and become a seraph what felt like only a few years ago, you really had no interest in RAD whatsoever. “What about meetings with Lord Diavolo?”
“What about them?”
“I was sent for relations, not academics.” Getting up from your seat, you move to stand in front of his desk.
“This is an exchange program. You’ll go to school and when Lord Diavolo sends for you, I will personally tell you.” He picks his pen back up and continues his work.
“Michael said I was here to talk politics.”
“I’m sure he did say that.”
“Then why are you treating me like a child?”
“Because you’re acting like one.” You scoff at his response. “Honestly, I can’t believe they created someone like you to take my place.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Childish, impatient, insecure, self-important, oh and you have no manners. You’re nothing like me.” Your hands balled into fists in anger.
“News flash, Lucifer, there’s a reason I’m not you. They don’t want another...incident.”
The pen he was holding snapped into two pieces. Maybe it was the way you said it, or perhaps that you were a reminder of his worst memories, but Lucifer subconsciously turned into his demon form. In retaliation, you turned into your angel form. You only had two wings, compared to his four - another way you were inferior to him.
“Get out.” You stood there, processing what was happening. “NOW.”

CHAPTER 5 - Oblivion (1618 words)
“Y/N? Wake up Y/N”
Someone’s calling my name?
“Y/N, please wake up”
I awoke in a daze hearing a soft female voice calling out to me.
“Y/N, can you hear me?”
Slowly blinking awake, I realized that I was floating in some dark void. Upon looking around, I found the source of the voice. A young woman with long strawberry blonde hair and violet eyes was looking at me. Her white and purple dress was flowing freely around her. Her hair framed her face just right with a small leaf hair clip finishing her look. She spoke out again.
“Y/N, can you hear me?”
“Who are you?”
“Oh, thank goodness you can. Y/N, I am Lilith. Do you remember how you got here?”
I looked down at myself realizing that there is a gaping hole in my chest where my heart is supposed to be. Memories of the trial came flooding back to me.
“I-I was on trial. The king didn’t like the idea of me having pacts with all your brothers, so he ordered that I be killed. He, he tried to make Lucifer do it but he refused to kill me. I remember ordering your brothers not to interfere and to obey Lord Diavolo above the king, then I ordered Lucifer to kill me with his sword. He whispered something in angelic then killed me. I thanked him then nothing. It didn’t even hurt when he killed me, I just fell asleep.” Hugging myself as I remembered what happened, what I assume to be not 30 minutes ago. Lilith moved to wrap her arms around me.
“Shh, it’s alright now. When Big Brother killed you, he probably used his holy sword, that’s why you didn't feel anything, but if he did, you should have returned to Oblivion. Do you know what that is?”
Nodding my head, I recalled my Devildom history class. Oblivion was the start of the universe. All living beings were created from oblivion. Oblivion is the purple aura that surrounds someone when they perform a spell. It is the stuff used to manifest something via spell or curse. If harnessed right, it can also be used as an energy source.
“Big Brother probably muttered a protection spell which is why you are here instead of non-existent.”
“Where is here?” I asked while slowly releasing her from the hug.
“This place has no name, although I like to call it the void. In reality, that is all this place really is. It is where souls end up should they not have a final destination but don’t return to Oblivion. This only happens in special cases. It is the reason I have been able to watch over you and my elder brothers. This is where things get complicated. You were not meant to die yet and I didn’t have enough power to save you this time. You now have to make a choice, no matter what you pick, you cannot change the fact that you died, there is no cheating death a second time. I can make you a demon and send you to the Devildom, I can re-incarnate you into a new-born human although you will lose your memories, or I can send you to the Celestial Realm as a seraph. It’s your choice.”
“There is no way I would give up my memories of your brothers and the time I spent in the Devildom, and as much as I would love to return to the Devildom, there is no way I am going to serve that tyrant calling himself “King”. I also really don’t want to serve the other tyrant that has the audacity to call himself “Father”” Sighing I cradled my head in my hands weighing my two options. On one hand, I can return to the brothers and the one I love, but I will have to serve King Abandon and that’s if he doesn’t decide to kill me again as soon as he lays eyes on me. On the other hand, I could go to the Celestial Realm and hide out with Simeon and Luke, but I would have to bow down to their Father so as to not risk banishment from the Celestial realm, and that’s if he doesn’t cast me out on the spot, unless…
“I pick the Celestial Realm. As much as I dread serving Father, it’s my best option of seeing the brothers again.”
“Y/N, are you sure? I will be using up the last of my power, there is no going back after this.”
“I’m sure.”
“Alright.” Lilith took my hand and started chanting in angelic. A golden aura surrounded her as strings of light flowed out of her and into my chest and back, closing my wound and forming 6 pure white wings on my back. My clothing transformed into white and pastel blue garments. A small halo appeared over my head. I saw Lilith beam at me and say something although I couldn’t make out what she said as the darkness claimed me once more.
~In the Devildom~
(Lucifers POV)
Tears threatened to spill over as I carried out Y/N’s order. Why? Why did they make me do it?! They could have ordered me to pick them up and fly them away, I would have done it before the order even left their mouth. There is no way I could send them back into Oblivion. Without thinking, I drew the sword I swore I would never draw again. My Father had dubbed it “Starburst”, my holy sword. I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it after the fall, and now I’m glad I didn’t. I heard gasps from the crowd as I summoned the sword, the only demons having seen it were my brothers as well as Lord Diavolo and Barbatos. I fought against Y/N’s order long enough to mutter a small prayer for their soul, hoping that wherever Lilith was, she would hear and understand that I needed her help. Unable to fight the order any longer, I took one last look into their eyes and thrust the sword straight through their heart, my brothers screaming in the background. Holding Y/N’s body a little longer than normal, I heard their last words, “thank you”, then nothing. Y/N was gone, and I was the one who killed them. I didn’t have time to think about it as I felt a searing pain on the back of my left hand, turning over to face my brothers, I saw them each clutching a part of their bodies as we all felt the pact we each held with Y/N shatter. I gently laid down Y/N’s body and got up moving off stage before my tears spilled over signalling my brothers to do the same. Not acknowledging the king, we all turned and left, Diavolo and Barbatos following close behind. Asmo’s crying was all we heard as we walked towards the House of Lamentation, none of us wanting to be anywhere near the king. Upon entering, we all went our separate ways. Levi immediately retreated towards his room, the twins went to theirs. Satan went to the library. Asmo and Mammon both went into the direction of Y/N’s old room while Diavolo, Barbatos and I headed to my secret study. Now alone, I let it all out, my pride worthless now.
“It’s not your fault-”
“Isn’t it Dia?! I was the one that killed them! I wasn’t strong enough to fight them and now they're gone!”
“I noticed you muttering something before, you know. What was it?”
“It was a prayer to Lilith. I know she’s watching over us. I can only hope that she heard it and will help Y/N. I didn’t send them into Oblivion as he ordered but to where she is. That was all I was able to do.” Tears now streamed down my face clear as day as I leaned back into my chair looking up at the ceiling at the thought of my only sister and Y/N who has grown to be someone I would even call my lover. Barbatos put his hand on my shoulder to try and ground me.
“What now?”
“I don’t know Barb, I really don’t. My Father has control of the Devildom and now with Y/N gone, it will be a lot harder to continue with any of our plans. On the plus side, thanks to Y/N’s order, my word outranks my Father’s when it comes to you 7.”
“But the pact is gone. There’s no way any of their orders are still in play, right?”
“No, it is still very much there. I can still feel the lingering effects of an order. If it weren’t, we would have attacked the king as soon as the pact broke but Y/N ordered us not to interfere with the trial.”
We sat in silence, none of us wanting to break it, until Diavolo’s DDD pinged with a text alerting him and Barbatos back to the castle.
As they were leaving Diavolo pulled me in for a tight hug.
“I’ll make this right. I promise.”
Letting go, both demons left for the palace as I went to my room. Shedding my clothes, I bypassed pyjamas and laid in bed. Tears ran down my face as I thought about Y/N and all the precious memories we had made together. I rolled over and realized they left their Little D No.1 plushie here from their last sleepover. Clutching it, their scent strong on the plushie, I drifted off to sleep, hugging the Little D in my arms wishing it was Y/N instead.

Chapter 1
Written in the Stars (Lucifer x Angel!Reader)
Four thousand years is a long time. In the absence of your most cherished friend, it feels even longer. But when a certain student exchange program in the Devildom reunites you and Lucifer, things aren't the same. Because four thousand years of separation is a long time. And the love you once felt for Lucifer has changed into something different—something forbidden. But that might not even be your biggest problem, because with each passing day, your holy wings are turning blacker and blacker.

MASTERLIST
The weight around your shoulders is unnatural.
You shift the fabric as you stand, gently pushing it back while fiddling with the golden clasp that keeps the thick, Celestial silk wrapped around your body, before forcing yourself to stop. It had been Simeon who had helped you put it on this morning. For good reason, too—the angel is blessed with a surprising degree of lean muscle and strength—but where he could easily carry the cape and drape it around your body, you can barely lift the thing.
It's heavy for a reason, he had told you when helping you wear it. We can't stay in our angel forms at the Academy, so the High Seraphs said that this will help remind us of the weight of our wings.
And while the fabric is definitely as heavy as your wings, it does no justice to the true feel of your snowy feathers, a poor simulation of the holy pinions.
You sigh, pressing your hands against the closest object to stabilize your body, wishing that you could bring your wings out to do so. You'd begged to come here, begged and cried and pleaded with the High Seraphs to give you the chance to see Lucifer one last time before eternally returning to the Celestial Realm, and they'd warned you that the experience wouldn't be pleasant. That you'd be forced to take this unorthodox human form, deprived of your wings and halo, surrounded by demons and the unbearable heat of the Devildom.
But you hadn't faltered then, and you certainly won't falter now.
It's for Lucifer, right? You'd do anything for Lucifer.
You bite the inside of your cheek as you hold your body steady by gripping the tall, wooden chair that Diavolo had been sitting in when he'd greeted the three of you.
"Welcome to the Devildom!" He'd exclaimed enthusiastically, a grin so wide stretched across his face that you couldn't help but offer your own smile in return. The man had been nothing but pleasant when introducing himself to you. Each word, he spoke with purpose. His tone bordered on intimidating when he declared his own titles—proudly naming himself Lord Diavolo, overseer of the nine circles of hell, heir to the Devildom, prince of the abyss—but he immediately expressed what a pleasure it was to meet your acquaintance, honorably referring to you all with your own titles. Again, with purpose. His formality was to remind you that you're all just as important to your realms as he is to his. Just as crucial, powerful, and strong.
"Luke," He had proclaimed with a smile, his grin almost proud as he gazed upon the youngest of you three. "Child of Chamuel, heir to the twelfth Holy Protectorate." He'd then turned to your best friend, the oldest of the group: "Simeon: child of Selaphiel, defender of the High Seraphs." And last, but absolutely not the least, he had faced you. "MC: child of light, equalizer of the Celestial Realm."
The man had proceeded to shower you all with gifts, casually instructing his butler to have the larger presents delivered to Purgatory Hall, the location of your year-long stay. He'd offered to give you all a tour of the Devildom, looking almost eager as he began leading you out the door—but he hesitated at the last minute.
"Ah, MC." His eyes watched you carefully as he spoke, waiting to see your reaction. "If you don't mind, would you be alright with staying here? Lucifer explicitly requested that he be the one to greet and show you around, though it's entirely understandable if you should wish to remain with the group for—"
"Not at all!" You'd exclaimed immediately, excitement flooding your veins at the mention of the man who's been dominating your thoughts for the past four thousand years. Diavolo's relief was apparent at your immediate acceptance of his offer, and you almost had to laugh.
Had he been concerned that you wouldn't want to be alone with Lucifer? Surely he's heard all the stories about the Morningstar of light and the equalizer of the heavens. Did he think your feelings for Lucifer would have changed after his fall? You chuckle to yourself, shaking your head. For all the stories and songs written about the two of you, people never seem to understand the true depth of your love for Lucifer.
Then again, the written history has never done a good job at portraying truth, has it?
You sigh, turning your head to stare out the windows of the room. This is the Student Council Office, you know. Small wonder. It has a marvelous view of the entire RAD campus, and really, you don't think you'll have the full map memorized even after you've spent a year here.
You smile, eyes skirting over the immense campus.
You, Simeon, and Luke had arrived in the Devildom just as the sun was beginning to make its journey back under the horizon; by now, the sun has almost completely set. Still, the remnants of its illumination light up the various fountains and statues littered around the campus. There are eight buildings set up for classroom use, nine buildings in total—likely modeled after the nine circles of hell—and each is connected by a modernistic sidewalk three wingspans wide. Every intersection is marked by a different ornamental tablet, engraved with what you can only assume is Devildom history, and the last remaining rays of sunlight jump off the various metals like fiery dancers of dusk. There's a large field in the distance, where you see six demons playing some sport you don't recognize, and you'd stare even longer at the strange forest in the background if not for the sound of a door opening behind you.
You freeze.
All of a sudden, you wish you hadn't been staring out at the window but at the door instead, because your body is stiller than the statues you'd been admiring outside, unwilling to move an inch.
Fingers tensing around the chair you'd been casually gripping, you feel your throat bob as you swallow, your mouth suddenly dry.
It's the moment you've been waiting for.
There's no doubt about it: you can feel it in the shift of the darkness in the room, in the subtle scent of the cologne that after all these years he's still wearing, in the quiet but sharp breath he takes that you were once so used to hearing.
Mustering up all the courage you have, you turn your head, preparing yourself for what you've been waiting four thousand years for.
Your head moves slowly, impossibly slow. You can't bring it to turn any faster, even though all you want to do is see the man you've spent so long yearning for.
And then you do.
A strangled gasp leaves you throat as all your breath deserts you, the man looking as magnificent and glorious and breathtaking as he did the last time you saw him. You stare into his eyes, two red rubies that shine not with holiness or darkness or anything but love as they gaze back at you, and then whatever restraint you had vanishes, and you're throwing yourself into Lucifer's arms: crying, whimpering, sobbing as you embrace him the way you've wanted to for so long.
"MC," he murmurs softly, his own voice thick with emotion as he lifts you, spinning you around gracefully as he used to so long ago. "What's this?" He asks, gaze traveling to the golden clasp that keeps the dense cape wrapped around your shoulders, wordlessly unclasping it.
And as the Celestial silk falls, so do the last of your inhibitions, leaving you truly weightless in Lucifer's arms as he holds you tighter, fingers running through your hair the way he used to.
You know he's fallen now, a demon, but nothing about him seems different. His embrace is still comforting as he holds you, his hands still rub small circles into your back, he still presses weightless kisses to your forehead as he holds you. Angel or demon, he's still the Lucifer that raised you, the Lucifer that taught you everything you know. He's still Lucifer.
"I missed you," You whisper, well aware that he can feel your tears as you bury your head in his neck. "So much."
"I know," He murmurs back, his voice carrying the rare softness that he only unveils for you. "I've missed you too."
The two of you remain like that for far longer than is necessary, simply basking in the blissful feeling of being together until even the sun has gone down, knowing that its warmth is unnecessary now that the two of you have each other.
Even when Lucifer finally begins to pull away, you let out a reluctant whine. You've been deprived of his company for four thousand years, surely he can give you one more minute?
"Don't look at me like that," He says, a light chuckle escaping his lips. "Come. Don't you want a tour of the campus? You'll be staying here the entire year, after all."
You grudgingly agree, removing yourself from Lucifer's arms while staring at the fabric on the ground. Now that it's off your shoulders, you certainly do feel much more free—but Simeon was absolutely right. No matter how heavy the fabric was, it really did remind you of your wings. You feel naked without it.
Lowering your body to the ground, you summon all of your strength in an attempt to lift the thick cloth up, trying your best to raise it higher than a foot off the ground. Next to you, Lucifer lets out an audible laugh as he watches you struggle until, finally, you collapse to the ground. "I give up," You mumble, light pants escaping your lips. Your muscles genuinely ache as you look up at your old friend, a defeated expression cast on your face.
"Celestial silk, is it?" Lucifer crouches, lifting the fabric. "Even heavier than I remember, but still manageable." He smiles lightly as he finds the clasps, fingers deftly hooking the golden fasteners in place until the cape is secured around your body once more.
It's a comfortable motion for you, and familiar, too. When Lucifer was still with you in the Celestial Realm, he had taken it upon himself to be your guardian—understandable, given the nature of your birth—and had practically raised you himself. It was Lucifer, who whispered stories to you every night until you slept. Lucifer, who taught you how to cook and bathe and read. Lucifer, who would help you dress in the mornings, while you blankly sat on the floor, just as you're doing now.
"Why are you wearing something so heavy? I doubt you can even stand straight for long, when this weighs as much as you." The demon's expression is intrigued as he pinches the fabric between his gloved fingers.
"It's not just me. Simeon is wearing the same thing. His cloak is even longer, actually, and heavier, too. And it's really bothersome, but without this, it just feels so unnatural to be in this form. At least, with this around my shoulders, it feels like I still sort of have my wings."
Lucifer nods. "That's smart. I think that was the hardest adjustment after the fall. It took me a while to figure out how to walk normally, without my wings weighing me back. Even in my demon form, I..." He trails off, a dark look cast on his face. You hold your breath, waiting for him to continue, but he says nothing.
"Lucifer?" You ask, bringing a hand to his cheek, gently angling his face back toward you. "After the Great Celestial War and your fall, I heard...the messengers would say..." You swallow, realizing that beating around the bush isn't going to help either of you right now. "They said you lost your wings."
Lucifer's eyes widen in surprise, and the shocked response is enough to tell you that the rumors were false. But then the demon's gaze darkens once more, and you can't figure out what's going on in his head.
When he next speaks, his voice is soft, quiet enough to be lost in the sound of your own breathing, if you're not careful. "If I show you my true form, will it scare you?"
Your breath hitches in your throat.
His true form. His demon form.
Against your will, the image of Lucifer's angel form flashes through your mind—the image you'd cut out from your history textbook, before anyone could take it away. A time when Lucifer's pride had been given to him by the realm, rather than stemming from within him. When he had six divine wings and the Mark of the Blessed on his forehead. Dressed in full white garb, every fine detail outlined in rubies and gold, you've never stopped picturing that Lucifer as the true Lucifer in your mind.
But times have changed.
Four thousand years have passed, and the Lucifer who dressed in white is no longer a reality.
"Show me," You whisper, voice earnest.
Closing his eyes, it takes barely a second for Lucifer's darkness to manifest, the black wings curling around his frame and the familiar Mark of the Blessed on his forehead. But only after a second look do you realize that neither are quite the same—the six wings you're used to seeing being reduced to four, and the mark on Lucifer's forehead something twisted, something unholy, no longer shining with light: a small diamond of skin blackened with the retraction of whatever blessing was once laid upon his fair head.
"Lucifer..." You whisper, unable to say anything other than his name. "You're beautiful."
The demon's eyes, once dropped to the floor, look up at you in surprise, evidently not expecting to hear that of all things. Indeed, the light favored Lucifer brilliantly, but the darkness brings out a different side of the man: unfamiliar, strange, and foreign—but undeniably beautiful, in its own right.
Before he can say a word against you, you wrap him in another embrace, this time letting your hands run along his wings, savoring the sensation. Their color may have changed, but they're just as soft as you remember, each feather delicate and majestic. You allow your hands to trail all the way to where they meet at Lucifer's back, hesitating before running your hands along the small strip in between the four wings.
A shudder travels through Lucifer as your fingertips graze the spot. "Don't—don't—"
You calmly move your hands, sliding them back into the wings you love, understanding that you must have been touching the location where Lucifer's two center wings were ripped out during his fall. The sheer thought is painful enough; you can't begin to imagine how awful it must have been.
"I'm sorry I couldn't have been there for you," You murmur into Lucifer's ear, kissing the black diamond on his forehead. His body trembles once more, but he welcomes your touch, gripping your shoulders tightly even as he slowly shifts back to his human form. It's a long time before he speaks, but when he does, he's composed once more.
"Don't be. I was relieved that the High Seraphs had the sense to keep you locked away during the Great Celestial War. You would have done something foolish, like get yourself banished with me." You don't respond, knowing all too well that you'd entertained the thought numerous times. "Come," Lucifer murmurs, finally standing up. "It's time I gave you the tour I promised."
You nod your head, attempting to stand up. Key word: attempting. Your silk cloak drags you back down before you can even straighten your legs, causing you to collapse rather ungraciously on the floor.
"How did even manage to put this on in the morning?" Lucifer asks, shaking his head as he bends down and lifts you to your feet. "You can barely stand properly. Did you enchant it with a spell or some such?"
"Not exactly. I still struggle a bit when it comes to object enchantments." You hide a faint blush, sheepishly glancing away. "Simeon helped me dress this morning."
You glance up at Lucifer, only to see him averting his eyes, a strange expression wrapped around his face. You don't recognize the look, but before you can ask Lucifer about it, he's speaking: "I see. That much is unsurprising, I suppose." His voice is calm and controlled, but from his face, you can tell that it's taking all his effort to do so. He feigns a sense of casualness, not meeting your eyes. "There have been rumors in the Devildom about you and Simeon. That the equalizer of the Celestial Realm and the defender of the High Seraphs are...involved." You don't comment, but Lucifer almost seems to choke on that last word. Still, you let the man continue, watching as his steady voice wavers. "I suppose the rumors are true?"
Your lips twitch in amusement.
Is it jealousy that's casting Lucifer's face into this unappealing frown, the demon desperately trying to conceal his distaste but failing so miserably? You're unable to stop a brief sound of laughter from escaping your lips, a quick shake of your shoulders, but Lucifer catches it.
"What. What? What?" His voice is sharp, irritated as he gives you his usual glare, one that you've missed all too much.
"Simeon and I are friends," You tell him, eyes twinkling with mirth. "Nothing more, Lucifer. There's no need to be jealous."
"I am not jealous," The demon hisses, eyebrows fuddling together in a demonstration meant to be intimidating, but you only find it cute.
"Relax!" You exclaim, consciously stopping yourself from squealing with merriment. "I was only teasing. I would never involve myself with another man—didn't I promise you that I would get your approval before doing so?"
Lucifer's eyes widen in surprise, as if he'd long forgotten that exchange. But his next words reveal that his thoughts were quite the opposite: "I didn't realize you had any recollection of that promise."
"How could I forget?" You ask, the memory clear in your mind even to this day.
"It's just..." Lucifer sighs softly, his eyes dropping to your hair, where he brushes a strand of the (h/c) behind your ear. "You were only a child when you said it."
"A child? Lucifer, I grew up in a literal hour," You argue, recalling how the High Seraphs had described you being born as a baby and then having turned into a young woman before they'd even had the chance to give you a name. It's angel stuff—not wholly unheard of, since Lucifer's birth was somewhat the same, but definitely not the most common thing out there. Then again, nothing about the story of your birth is common.
"Yes, but you'd only been in the realm for three days. You might have looked older, but you were young and inexperienced in the ways of the world, foolish enough to make such a preposterous promise." Lucifer chuckles, crossing his arms as he remembers your youth. "I do hope that you haven't been denying your heart on my account? As long as the suitor makes you happy, I would support any union you might partake in."
"I know, Lucifer." You smile up at the man. He may be a demon now, but inside, he's still the man you adore. You press a delicate kiss to his cheek. "When I made that promise to you, you told me the same thing."
***
Lucifer had promised Diavolo that he would handle your student tour of the RAD, that he would show you all the prettiest fountains and loveliest statues and best restaurants. And when he'd assured his prince of such a thing, he had been sincere.
But as he leads you out of the student council building, there's really only one thing he deems of immediate importance: how to get to the House of Lamentation from your residence in Purgatory Hall. Doubtless, he'll ensure that he's there to accompany you the first few times, but as he makes the walk with you, he can't help but feel a familiar sense of worry bubble in his stomach.
A part of him still can't believe that it's been four thousand years since he last saw you.
You've barely changed.
Your smile is still just as bright, your hands are just as soft, your hair dances in the wind the exact same way—but there are subtle differences, too. Lucifer swallows as he notes the womanly shape that you've taken on over the centuries, the small of your waist, the curve of your hips, the tantalizing dip of your collarbone.
The demon is unable to take his eyes off you, desperately wondering who in heaven designed your uniform. Diavolo had decided not to force the standard RAD uniform on any of the exchange students, and for good reason. The Devildom is too close to hell, and unbearably hot for anyone that isn't already used to its temperature.
But Lucifer had still expected the angels to be wearing somewhat modest clothes. He'd assumed that they'd arrive in angel attire, the garb simply enchanted with spells to resist the heat. Not these outfits that resemble the strippers he's seen in Asmo's clubs!
His eyes are glued to the thin mesh fabric covering your shoulders. It does an awful job of concealing skin. In fact, it only draws more attention to your upper body and—really—does the outfit have to be sleeveless? And is it truly necessary for the sides of your waist to be exposed?
Lucifer exhales lightly, his jaw tensing. None of his brothers would dare try anything inappropriate with you, you're too precious to them for that, and he'd do his best to shield you from the lustful eyes of his peers. But even then, how long would Lucifer be able to protect you from himself?
He forces himself to look away from your body, knowing that he would kill a lesser demon for the very thoughts reverberating through his own mind.
It's ridiculous that he even feels this way, he reasons with himself. He's practically your older brother. He knows you think of him as such. So why is he looking at you like a woman, when he should be looking at you as a sister?
Off limits. Lucifer scowls, staring forward as he drills the word into his mind. Off limits. MC is off limits. MC is off limits!
But the more he tries to ignore you, the more he's drawn to you, to the light sway of your hips as you move, to the elegant grace you've cultivated over the years, the dazzling smile that he can only describe as enchanting, where it had once been cute and endearing.
Is it because he's a demon, that he feels this way around you? Because it's now in his nature to give in to temptation, where it had once been in his blood to resist? The thought weighs heavily on his mind, because that means that it would be impossible for you to ever feel the same way about him. And as much as Lucifer hates himself for thinking it, that prospect seems to be even worse than the notion of you being foolish enough reciprocate his feelings.
"Lucifer?"
The demon halts his thoughts, staring at you in surprise. "I'm sorry, MC. My mind was elsewhere. What were you saying?"
He watches you giggle, an action he's seen you do thousands of times, but it's never made him feel such a strong urge to wrap his arms around you and hide you away from everyone else.
"I was talking about your youngest brother. Though I think he's been named the fourth-born? I'm talking about Satan. I know he was born a little before the Great Celestial War began, but the High Seraphs isolated me immediately after, so I still haven't met him. Do you think he'll like me?"
Lucifer blinks. You've certainly grown, but you've still retained your angelic innocence. "Don't be ridiculous," He murmurs quietly. "How could anyone not like you?"
The beaming smile you give Lucifer is worth the agitation he feels when he realizes how smitten he is with you.
You're off limits, he tells himself once more. Off limits.
Just as he will not allow any other demons to lay a hand on you, he will not allow himself to touch you.
"MC?" He asks, eyes glued to your exposed shoulders, all too aware of how it's only furthering the temptation within him. When you turn to him, a questioning gaze on your face, it's all he can do to take off his coat without letting his embarrassment show on his face. "It's cold." It's not. "Wear my jacket for the time being."
Wordlessly, he helps you slip it onto your shoulders, lifting the Celestial silk for you and then unclasping it altogether, not failing to notice the blissful sigh you give as he takes the weight into his own arms, allowing you to freely slip into his jacket.
He breathes a sigh of relief when you continue talking, the demon finally eased of the tempting sight of your exposed body. He turns back to you, hoping to listen to whatever subject you're currently ranting so passionately about.
And fails.
Even with his jacket wrapped around you, Lucifer finds that his gaze is just as hungry as before, only further stemmed along by the sight of you in his clothes, your smaller figure entirely enveloped by his jacket.
By his side, Lucifer's hand clenches into a fist.
Thou shalt not covet, he tells himself, the words still engraved on his heart after all these years. Thou shalt not covet. But staring at you, talking so animatedly next to him, so comfortable and trusting by his side, he can't stop.
No matter how many times the words echo in his mind, they fall short of his heart.
He covets.

apotelesma | diavolo x fem! reader
[ apotelesma ] - the influence that the stars have over human destiny.
prologue. daughter of eve.
"A DAUGHTER OF EVE一A true descendant of the bloodline, in the flesh." The High Priest regarded you with stone cold blue eyes. His face held no fondness, no gentle wrinkles or lines, but hard, chiseled panes of bone and skin, and the sharp pull of his mouth that descended into a frown. He was no happier with your existence than he was about the task he was to send you on; but you counted your blessings every day you lived to see the sun besides. "Do you understand what they will do to you when they find out?"
       "The angels or the demons?" You inquired, an edge in your tone. You had never liked the way the man had discriminated against either race despite being a holy man, never liked the way he stared at the angels who came to visit you by the behest of the Father and deemed you their friend. "You need to be specific, High Priest."
       "The demons, of course." He scowled at you. "The angels, by some sort of curse, have no choice but to love you. No, I speak of the demons, foolish girl."
       You were neither foolish, nor a girl, but you would let him believe what he wanted. You shifted the bundle of clothes in your lap一a set of clothing that would allow you to enter the devildom unharmed, given to you by Michael一to cross your legs.
       "I remember. Once they find out, they'll drag me down to the icy depths of hell and torture me until the second coming."
      Which were all lies, of course; no one could sense the bloodline of Eve unless you let go of your human form. None except the angels, of whom would guard your secret to their deaths一taught to obey you and your wishes by some wicked love of the woman you had been long ago. A woman whose identity erased the entirety of yours.
        "At least you listened to Sister Anne's lessons." The High Priest grumbled and produced a gorgeous ring from within his robes. It was silver, inlaid with a delicate fire opal that held deposits of gold, and had several unholy symbols carved into the metal band. "This was one of your predecessor's. A powerful sorceress. It will protect you from harm, should you rouse one of the demons to their temper. Only once, and no more."
        You allowed him to drop the precious ring into your open palms. It was unusually warm against your skin, thrumming with its own heartbeat, a heady pulse against your fingers. You closed your fist around it, felt the connection to one of your past selves erupt into being like a chain of fire.
       "Thank you." It was perhaps all you could say. The High Priest had neglected you any semblance of connection to your past lives in the fear you would become corrupt by their morality and values. A mistake made one too many times, he had said, as the sisters discarded your normal clothes in favor of hand woven garb and shoes. "Is there anything else?"
        You so desperately wanted to leave this place, this temple. Even the devildom sounded sweet to your ears, as lonely and chained as you were in this place. You were lucky to have been chosen at all; the other girls were far more up to date with the times. You had only gotten a phone and social media to keep up appearances with your old life.
       "No." The tension in your belly dropped into a thread of relief. "Go now. The sisters will help dress you and escort you to the angels."
        You didn't spare him the grace of your farewell. You leapt up from the chair and darted out of the office and to your room一a small, compact thing that was as white as the rest of the temple, threaded with gold marbling一where the sisters waited for you to get ready.
        They helped you into the odd black spandex suit wordlessly. It had interesting holes cut into the hips, knees, chest, back, elbows, and shoulders, with a shiny sheer panelling that radiated a powerful magic not unlike that of the angels'. Over that went a sleeveless overcoat that felt more like silk than heavy cotton, embroidered with一you nearly cried at the sudden, second connection to one of your past selves一golden dahlias and calla lilies.
       You had also been given heels, but you forewent those for the soft, white leather sandals that had been given to you as a secondary option, slipping them on your feet with a relieved sigh. The sisters made no remark on your attire, the skin you were revealing, or the sudden realization that you had filled out far past what you had originally thought.
       Sister Anne entered the room as you were retying your hair to sit more comfortably on your head, the other sisters having left moments ago. She regarded you with a kind smile before handing you a small circlet. Elegant in design, it was the match to your ring, and you took it from her before you could even think twice.
        "I didn't think that the High Priest would give you the rest of the set," she said smugly, watching you set the jewelry upon your forehead. It fit as if it had been made for you. "I took it upon myself to give it to you before your departure. As a farewell gift."
       "Thank you." You wrapped the older woman up in a tight hug. It was odd to feel her hug you back, patting your shoulder with a quiet laugh. "Really. Thank you, Sister Anne. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there for me."
       "Probably jump out of the belltower like the last descendant did," she quipped, not at all joking. You stilled against her. "Lighten up. The poor girl was insane by the time she was brought here. You'll be fine."
       "If you say so." You parted from the hug. "I'll miss you, you know that, right?"
      "I'd be offended if you didn't!" Sister Anne laughed and slapped you on the back. Hard. Through the thin fabric of your suit, it felt like you had been hit by a truck. "Go on now, before I beg and make you stay. The angels are waiting for you in the courtyard."
       You smiled, but the disgust you felt overpowered it. The angels made you feel sick every time you saw them; when their perfectly normal, sane eyes turned to you and were instantly struck by that curse, bound to your bidding and will. The only angels who could resist and speak to you like normal people were those of the Seraphs and Archangels, even a few cherubim if they were lucky, but normal angels never stood a chance.
       They loved you, of course, because that was how they were created. To love humanity, but to adore one of the first of them all; Eve. And you, unfortunately, carried her soul within you.
      You could only hope that the delegates sent from above were Seraphim.
       You gave a final farewell to Sister Anne and left down the hall before you could turn around and reject your summons to the devildom.
      The angels greeted you in the courtyard with loving smiles and compliments. You tried to ignore them, even when the small slivers of hurt crept upon their faces.
       None of it was real, you told yourself as they opened up the portal to allow you through.
      None of what anyone felt for you was real, you reinforced that belief as you stepped through the portal.
        None of it was true.
        And you stepped out of the portal and into the humid, hot land of Devildom.
end prologue.
let me know what you thought! 💕

I really really love the when you become a fallen piece, could I possibly have that with Diavolo? Pretty please? Thank you for reading this.
Yes, definitely! I will write this here, so I hope it’s not weird!  I was debating whether or not I should post it on the other thread with the brothers, but maybe here it’s okay too <3
P.S. after I wrote it: I MAY HAVE GONE A BIT OVERBOARD WITH IT, OOPSY DAISY-
---
Tumblr media
Long ago, before the Celestial War happened, you, as another Seraph, would look up at Lucifer and how he was loved by everyone, how his brothers adored him...And you?
You were like a caged dove, without any bit of freedom...
You were raised and taught - not like all the other angels - but you were meant to be the key to the Devildom and Celestial Realm allegiance.
You were meant to be the future King of Devildom’s future wife.
So while Lucifer received praises from Gods, from the Cherubim, from the other Archangels...
You, on the other hand, only received criticism from the lower-angels constantly on your back, punishing you if you didn’t behave as you were meant to.
And your dark feelings kept harbouring inside your heart for a long time.
These feelings were only amplified tenfold when Lucifer had the audacity to rebel, along with his brothers, and was welcomed with open arms in the Devildom, by the same man that was supposed to become your Husband...
How vile.
And you wondered...
If you were to rebel and run away as well...
Would he welcome you with so much enthusiasm?
...Of course not, why would he?
He may be your soon-to-be Husband, but all the angels were strict: “You must be his wife, but never grow feelings for such a disgustingly impure, immoral, unethical and vile monster such as him. He is evil incarnated, that’s why he’s the future Demon King!”
So you kept enduring and enduring, until you were finally brought before him, not yet to wed, but to spend the day together and get used to each other.
Needless to say, Diavolo, despite thinking that Lucifer was gorgeous...He found you to be more than ethereal, for lack of better words in any language.
He was happy, he wanted you by his side, despite all the inhibitions and shyness that were brought along with you, but he understood the situation, he was already aware of it, thanks to Lucifer, who was already aware of the problem, naturally.
So for the whole day, he tried to help you ease around him, to look at him with your beautiful E/C orbs that sparkled like the stars in Heaven, to see you, without your wings covering you, as all Seraphim had the habit of doing, he wanted to hear your crystalline voice, loud and clear, not just whispering in his ear whenever you had the courage to say something.
He wanted to hear your laugh, that would be like a lullaby to his ears, he wanted to see your genuine smile, that made his heart explode with a myriad of emotions.
And more importantly, he wanted to touch you, to feel you skin, delicate and soft like a cloud, to taste your lips that were sweeter than any Celeastial Realm dessert.
He wanted you, and he wanted to make you his partner in crime, to tease Lucifer and his brothers, to make witty schemes and pranks together, to sneak around, to make fun, to dance, to laugh, to walk around, to have dates, to do so many things together.
Diavolo was so eager for your wedding together, and so were you, frankly.
You found safety and solace around him, something that you never thought would happen any time in your life, and now you realised why Lucifer was welcomed so nicely to his Kingdom - Because Diavolo wasn’t evil and merciless as the angels wanted her to believe, he was a benevolent ruler who only sought the good of his people and wanted all 3 Realms to be equal and be peaceful.
This didn’t sit well with the angels when you returned back to the Celestial Realm, as they could see you vibing with happiness, they could see your cheeks pink like the roses from the Garden of Eden, and more...Your heart...It was trembling with emotions.
You were in love with the Demon Prince.
You destroyed the allegiance without even realising, and the angels were furious with you for ruining all the centuries of trying to educate you properly, to make you become an obedient little wife.
You screwed up for falling in love with the man you were supposed to marry.
And now, you had to receive the Divine Retribution that few angels had the misfortune to deal with.
You were thrown out of Heaven.
You were let to fall down, from the Celestial Realm, to the Devildom, while all the other angels were throwing insults at you, for being a shame to God and your title as a Seraph, and that you deserve every bit of pain you will have to endure in the future.
Barbatos had already forseen this happening, so Diavolo was waiting for you to fall, so he would be there to catch you before you hit the ground, not wanting you to feel more pain that you must already endure.
Of course, as Lucifer had already gone through all this before, he was informed about the agony, the transformations and the changes in one’s body, but even so, he wasn’t prepared for how emotionally gut-wrenching the sight of the woman he loved so much, sobbing in pain, just because...
Just because she held the same emotions as he did for her.
It wasn’t fair.
Why should she have to suffer for loving someone, while he was safe and sound, not even feeling an ounce of physical pain, nor trauma?
He was holding you tightly to his chest, not even feeling anything while you were clawing at his back and arms from the pain, not able to think or speak coherently, as he could only watch your feathers and a pair of wings slowly burn, even the bone structure of it, while stumps of bone and keratin were protruding from underneath your scalp, getting bigger and bigger, and twisting around in intricate shapes, resembling that of some animal.
“This is not fair! This is not fair! Why...! I was raised to be your wife, but now that I want to, I’m being punished! Is it so immoral to have feelings? To love your Husband? Why is nothing I do ever good for anyone? Why can’t I ever be like the ones I admire so much? Am I really fated to waste away and rot like a caged bird forever?” you’d cry out, as Diavolo put your hands on his own horns, to tug on them, to make himself feel the same hatred, rage, agony, despair as you did, because you were bound by an unbreakable bond, wrapped with the string of fate, from heart to heart.
Diavolo felt powerless for the first time in his life, as there was nothing that could stop, or even lessen such pain - no medicine, beverage, food nor plant or drug - and he could only hold you and curse every living being for not being able to keep you safe from all this madness.
Since he was born a demon, he never had to endure any pain, but seeing you go through it all, it made him want to find some curse and curse himself, so all the pain you’d feel, he’d feel as well, just to punish himself for making you go through all this - Because he blames himself, even if he would never tell it to you, in fear of making you feel even worse.
He wasn’t sure how many days passed until your physical agony subsided and your wings were charcoal black, like a raven’s, and your horns were fully out, but he knew that the worst wasn’t over yet.
Every day, he had to hold you and reassure you that he’ll never leave you, and that he loves you and he would never give you up, just because you are not a Seraph anymore - Your beauty was as ethereal as always, no matter what.
He had Barbatos make sure you bring you food to help you get used to the Devildom cuisine, without purging, because your body wasn’t used to bats and poisoned apples, but to cloud cakes and paradise fruit.
He would hold you tight every night, allowing himself barely a wink of sleep, as he felt it his duty to guard over you while you slept, so you wouldn’t be plagued by night terrors, even going as far as casting spells to help you sleep better, not even sure if they worked or not.
He would get you all sorts of clothes and jewellery, showing you off to everyone as soon as you were ready to step out of your shared room, because you were the most beautiful being alive, and nothing was going to erase that fact - And neither should you ever forget it.
Because Diavolo loved you with all his heart, and was waiting patiently for the day when you’d be able to get fully accustomed to your new life as a demon - But not any demon, but THE Demon Queen - so he could start preparing the Wedding, with you by his side, letting Asmo to style your hair, do your make up and style your wedding dress, making sure it matches with some colour with Diavolo’s suit too, while you two and the brothers, mainly Satan and Belphie, would choose how to decorate the wedding venue, the Ballroom, and Levi would help with the music, while Mammon would provide entertainment and Beel would be in charge of the menu.
And Lucifer would be the one to walk you down the isle, as he was the one you looked up to for so long and gave you the courage to aspire for freedom.
You were finally where you belonged, and you were happy, with the one person you loved with all your heart, and went through so many hardships for, and you had nothing more to fear any longer, because nobody would be as stupid as to go against the rules of THE Demon King just to harm you.
Especially not while he always had his arms and wings wrapped protectively around you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Previously:
As he walked through the halls towards his next class, he made a vow to himself to try and feel that unfamiliar emotion until he could name it, then keep feeling it, because, for Satan, it felt like Y/N was right next to them, with their signature smile on their face, proud of him for focusing on a feeling opposite of his wrath. Should he start to feel his wrath taking over, he would picture Y/N, holding his hand, encouraging him to feel that unfamiliar emotion. One he soon learned was called ‘Philia Love’.
CHAPTER 7 - Virtue of Loyalty (4265 words)
Our trip to the palace was a quiet one. Michael didn’t seem to want anything to do with me since he flew quite fast and left me behind multiple times as I'd never flown before and flying was extremely difficult. No one offered any assistance so I tucked my wings away, which I managed to figure out how to do after I accidentally did so mid flight, and ran under him. Looking straight ahead after confirming that I was keeping pace with Michael, I spotted the Celestial Palace. My jaw dropped in awe as I ran. The thing was massive! At least 2.5 times the size of Diavolo’s castle and even more decorative. The white walls were adorned with varying shades of golden accents making the palace seem larger than it really was. As I got closer, I learned that it was sitting in the middle of a massive garden that was overflowing with different kinds of celestial plants and trees. Although both the palace and garden seemed to be overflowing with decorations, everything still fit perfectly and was quite pleasing to the eyes.
Approaching the marble steps of the palace as Michael landed in front of me, greeting some gardeners as they stopped and bowed their heads to him. Signalling for them to resume their work, he continued up the steps motioning for me to follow. Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I followed him looking as unfazed as possible. Upon entering I found that the outside of the palace does no justice to the massive interior. Abandoning plan to remain as neutral and unfazed as possible, I gazed in absolute awe at the decor, my mouth opening slightly. There were no lighting fixtures as massive windows lined the wall letting in more than enough sunlight through. A massive chandelier was located in the center of the room with golden and silver chains decorating it. The marbled floor also had silver and gold accents as a beautiful floral pattern was outlined. Hearing a chuckle behind me, I turned to see Michael looking at me with a smug smile on his face.
“Well how can you not expect me to be amazed by all this?!” I countered while spinning and gesturing around the room.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Your smug smile said it all Mike” I flashed him a wicked smirk of my own as I called him by the nickname. His face darkened significantly as his tone dropped to what would have been a dangerous level had I not have spent my life with demons. It just didn’t have the same undertones as Devilish.
“Watch yourself child”
Giving him an exaggerated mock bow I responded.
“My humble apologies Sir Michael. I will be sure not to repeat the same error in the future.”
“Very funny.” He scoffed and walked off. I got up and followed him through the palace until we stopped between two massive golden doors to what I assumed to be the throne room. Michael addressed himself and stated that he brought me with him. 2 angels donning Celestial armour opened the doors. Michael walked in with his head slightly bowed and his gaze lowered. I walked looking straight ahead as I subtly took the room in. It wasn’t as big as I expected it to be. A golden carpet leading from the door to the throne was the most extravagant thing in the room. In contrast to the rest of the palace, the throne room was quite modest. Even the throne wasn’t extravagant, built for comfort instead of elegance. God himself looked to be a 6’8 man in his late fifties with chestnut coloured hair and a neatly trimmed beard. He wore a simple white robe with gold accents. His eyes, a light blue colour, were emitting a slight white glow as we approached. Michael stopped a short distance from the throne and kneeled.
“Father, I have brought Y/N on your orders.”
“Thank you my son.” He turned to look at me.
“Y/N, you have caused quite the commotion in the 3 realms.”
I kept my tone playful as a polite smile made itself home on my face as I spoke with God.
“What can I say Father, trouble likes to follow me, wherever I may be.”
“That may be my child, although I am quite confused as to how you ended up here especially as a seraph. In case you didn’t know, that position must be earned here in heaven, so please explain to me, why I shouldn’t forsake you and have you fall to the Devildom?” He raised his right eyebrow and relaxed into his throne as he asked his question.
“Oh make no mistake, I didn’t want to come here in the first place, had I actually had a choice, I would have gone to the Devildom where I belong. Unfortunately, circumstances never seem to be on my side.”
“That still doesn’t explain how you came to be here, in that attire nonetheless.”
“Does it upset you that I come donning Lucifer's clothing and wings? I assure you, I didn’t have a say in my appearance. I am only staying here as long as necessary after all. I still wish to fall and return to my family.”
“Tell me child, how is it that a human finds comfort in the likes of demons rather than angels?”
“Whoever said I didn’t find comfort in angels? I find Simeon and Luke to be quite comforting whenever I get stressed with this whole 3 realms stuff. I just find the darkness of the Devildom more appealing as you and I both know what lurks underneath this “bright” soul of mine.”
“And yet you came here to me, why?”
“I presume you know the details regarding my untimely end?”
“Yes I am, although you weren’t due to perish yet, I do not dictate the souls within the Devildom realm. What of it?”
“I sacrificed myself for the brothers whom I have grown to call family so that they may continue to live despite being ruled by a tyrant whom you rivel for the title of “Devil””
“Watch what you say child! You are still addressing Father and not some random person off the street!” Ignoring Michael, I continued.
“I do not wish to return to the Devildom while it is ruled by King Abandon.”
“Child, I am aware of your relationship to the brothers as well as your loyalty to those you call family. I am also aware of the feelings you have for my eldest son. I ask you, has anyone told you about his duties while he was serving me?”
“Yes, Simeon and his brothers would speak about his time here as the leader of the council. Lucifer himself preferred not to talk about it but he answered my questions whenever I asked. I have also learned his work habits and often aided him whenever an overflow of work had come in due on a short notice.” God seemed to contemplate something. With a thoughtful look on his face, he addressed me.
“I have a proposition for you. You wish to fall and reunite with your family in the Devildom. I do not wish to have you up here, although you do not want to serve King Abandon.”
“That is correct.”
“I will grant your wish on one condition. I will allow you to return to the Devildom after Abandon’s reign is over, on the condition that you take Samael’s position on the council. You are to take over his responsibilities without attempting to sabotage the realm or abuse your power. Should you not be able to meet my expectations, or should you abuse your position, I will cast you out regardless of who is currently ruling the Devildom.”
Michael, who had stayed silent while his Father was speaking, was shocked by God's proposition.
“Father, are you sure this is the right way to go? Y/N doesn’t even belong here. Are you sure trusting them with Samael’s old position is a good idea?”
“Do you disagree with my judgment Michael? Do you believe me incapable of determining Y/N’s fate in my realm?”
Michaels face visibly paled as he realized the implications of his words. Bowing his head in mortification he answered his Father.
“‘O-of course not Father! I just don’t think that Y/N is qualified or ready to lead the council. They are unaware of how the Celestial realm operates and doesn’t have the experience that Samael possessed.”
Scratching his chin, God thought about Michael's words.
“You’re right Michael, you and the rest of the council as well as Simeon and Luke shall serve as their guide during their time here. You are to teach them how we operate and train them as to how to properly fulfill Samael’s role. You are to step down as the leader of the council once they have learned how to fill in the role themselves.”
Not being able to object to his Father's words, Michael agreed, although he tried to hide it, you could see how he clenched his teeth, obviously disapproving the entire idea and his new role as your babysitter.
“How about it Y/N, will you accept my proposal?”
“I have a few conditions of my own I’d like to add. I will accept on the condition that I return as soon as Diavolo is crowned king, no later and that other than the obvious changes that come with falling, no other changes will be made to me. I will follow your rules while I am up here and will serve you as long as it doesn’t result in any harm coming to the Devildom or Earth and their inhabitants. I will fulfill my role as Lucifer’s replacement during my time here, no more, no less.”
“Of course, that goes without saying. I will also add that you are to have no contact with any being outside my realm during your time here. We wouldn’t want anyone coming up here to retrieve you before our deal has ended now would we?”
“No, we wouldn’t. I accept your proposal to be Lucifer’s replacement until the time comes for Diavolo's crowning. Until then, I shall serve you and the council to the best of my abilities.” I stepped closer and kneeled before him as he sealed the deal.
“Alright then, as you are no doubt aware, each angel on my council represents a virtue. You shall as well. While Humility does not suit you quite right, I shall grant you a new virtue. One that could be considered a sin should it be applied incorrectly. I think you’d like that. Rise Y/N, Virtue of Loyalty.”
I rose to my feet as an invisible force caused my wings and halo to appear. They glowed a light blue as whatever magic God was using to tie me to the Celestial realm ran its course. Once the glowing dimmed down, I tucked my wings back in and bowed my head once more towards the being I now served for the time being and exited the throne room, making my way back to the House of Honors with Michael close behind. As we reached the front door, Michael turned me around. A hard and unforgiving expression on his face. A look of outright hatred in his eyes.
“Listen Y/N, just because Father has accepted you into the Celestial realm, doesn’t mean the rest of us have. You are still an outsider and I frankly do not trust anyone who has spent so much time around demons. I will follow Father’s orders in training you, but know this, Y/N, if I so much as suspect you of doing anything to upset the balance in the Celestial realm, if you hurt any of the angels here, I will take matters into my own hands. I will not allow a being as tainted as you to wreak havoc among the angels. Am I understood?”
Meeting his gaze, a smile made its way to my face as I responded.
“I will hold you to that.”
He took one last hard look at me and walked through the door. Left alone on the steps, I thought to myself, ‘Soon my demons, I’ll be back, soon’. I walked to the gardens and spent the next few hours tending to it until dinner.
In the Devildom. After they lost Y/N
As soon as they got home, Mammon went straight to Y/N’s room. How could he let this happen? He was their first damn it! He should have protected them, he should have stopped Lucifer, he should have done something! He entered Y/N’s room and immediately sat on their bed, made messily in their excitement to meet the king. He held their pillow, hugging to his chest as he started crying. Too lost in his own thoughts, he didn’t hear Asmo following him. Upon entering the room and seeing the state his older brother was in, Asmo put aside his own grievances and sat next to Mammon and embraced him, letting him cry on his shoulder. This reminded Asmo of a time in the Celestial realm. They were playing with Levi in the gardens when Levi tried to show off his tree climbing skills. As he was nearing the top, Mammon noticed the branch Levi was climbing looked ready to snap. He tried to warn Levi but was too late as the branch snapped and Levi fell. Mammon wasn’t fast enough to catch him. Levi ended up dislocating a wing and spraining his right shoulder. Asmo remembered walking by Mammon's room that night and heard quiet sobs, he knocked and opened the door revealing Mammon sitting on his bed, hugging his pillow crying. He sat next to his older brother and hugged him, assuring him that it wasn’t his fault and that Levi would be just fine. Coming out of the memory, Asmo did the same now, hugging Mammon and reassuring him that it wasn’t his fault. He couldn’t have stopped Y/N from giving that order and that everything will be ok.
“Will it be though? It just won’t be the same without them.”
“I know. It will be hard, Y/N was our family, but we’ll be there for each other.”
They slept together, holding each other in Y/N’s bed comforting each other until they fell asleep.
Present
It was an ordinary day for Mammon. He had just gotten back from a modelling gig at Majolish and was thinking up ways to spend the money he just earned. He was thinking of treating himself to a night out as he’d also gotten a math test back that day and passed with a 90%! Just as he was thinking about where to go, he felt the pull of a summoning. Mammon opened his eyes to find himself in an old cold basement. He scanned the room noting that the only lighting provided was a small bulb with a pull down string in the middle of the room and 3 small candles near the summoning circle. He found that the room was practically empty save for a thin mattress in a corner and some stairs leading to a door. He then spotted the one who summoned him, a little girl. She looked to be no older than 5. She was wearing stained and ripped overalls, one of the straps was missing. A light pink t-shirt underneath. Her brown hair was relatively short, only reaching her shoulders and was a tangled mess. Upon looking closer, Mammon noticed that she was covered head to toe in bruises and there were deep scratch marks on her arms and legs. He looked at the hastily drawn circle under him and found out that she drew it with some chalked rocks. She held an old summoning book close to her chest. Her big brown eyes looked so scared, yet if he looked closer, he could see what looked to be hope sparkling in the background. He could tell by looking at her that she held vast magical potential. Whoever put her here obviously knew the same.
“A-are you Mammon?” By Diavolo, she sounded so broken, like if he spoke too loud, she would shatter. Kneeling down to her level, Mammon put a soft smile on his face.
“Yes I am. What’s your name?”
“Cynthia”
“Ok Cynthia, what can I help you with.” Mammon doesn’t know what it was about the little girl, but he found himself genuinely wanting to help her. Maybe it was the way they looked at him with hope. Maybe it was because they were just a kid, or maybe, it was because her eyes reminded him of Y/N’s.
“I want to leave. My parents locked me in here. They don’t care about me. They only use me for their spells. Please Mammon, help me. I’ll give you my soul if you want, just please!” Tears came to her eyes as she pleaded with him to help her. Mammon upon hearing what these sorcerers were doing with their daughter, became enraged. He held his hand out to Cynthia with a smile on his face. He took the book from her hands and put it on the ground next to him.
“No, no, no. I won’t take your soul. It’s alright Cynthia, I’ll help ya. Why did you think I’d need your soul to help you?” “That’s what my parents said. They’ve been using me to try and summon you. I heard them arguing about who’s soul they would give to form a pact. Then they decided that they would give you mine.” Mammon didn’t think he could get madder, but by now, he was seeing red. Not only did her parents lock her up, they used her to try and summon him thinking he’d just accept a child’s soul to form a pact with them! Mammon was beyond angry.
“Don’t worry Cynthia, the Great Mammon will take care of your parents! You’ll be out of here in no time.” Sensing his rage Cynthia grabbed onto his legs before he made it to the stairs.
“No, don’t hurt them!” Mammon looked down at the girl in shock.
“Please don’t hurt them. They may have done all these awful things to me but they’re still my mom and dad! I don’t want you to hurt them, just get me out of here!” Mammon looked at the girl like she’d gone crazy. Her parents, who have locked her up in a basement, used her for spells, hell even tried summoning him in exchange for her own soul, she wanted them alive?! He saw how genuine she was being and he couldn’t find the heart to say no to her. Instead, Mammon knelt down to her level and took her hand. Cynthia looked at him with tears threatening to overflow. Mammon brought his other hand to cup her face, wiping away a stray tear with his thumb.
“Ok Cynthia, I won’t hurt them. I am mad at your parents for doing this to you, but if you don’t want me to hurt them, I won’t.” Mammon then brought Cynthia’s right hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it gently. A yellow seal formed on the back of her right hand and a matching pink one on the palm of Mammon's right.
“Now we have a pact Cynthia. I didn’t take your soul, I took your sadness. Did you know that demons could also take emotions to form a pact?”
“N-no. Does this mean you’ll take me far away from here?”
“Yes, and it also means that you won’t ever feel sad again. I know a nice witch who can take care of you. She will teach you how to use and call me with the pact. This way, whenever you’re in trouble, you will be able to summon me without drawing the circle again and I can come protect ya.”
“O-ok.” Mammon then picked Cynthia up and walked up the stairs, kicking the basement door down he walked through the house towards the front door. Before he reached it though, he heard a scream behind him. He noticed that Cynthia tensed considerably in his arms as he set her down, hiding her behind his legs. He turned around coming face to face with a middle aged couple who he preserved to be Cynthia’s parents. Her mom then yelled at Cynthia.
“Cynthia Maxwell Daemon! You come here right this instant!”
“Shut your mouth lady. She doesn't belong to you anymore.”
“Nonsense! She’s my daughter. She is mine to do with what I want!” Mammon's patience was running out. A scowl appeared on his face as he growled out.
“Listen here lady, I’ve got some choice words for you two that I wouldn’t care to say in front of the girl, but the fact that you thought you could summon me and exchange her soul for a pact with you? You're crazy to think I’d ever accept that kind of pact. Now Cynthia and I are leaving and you ain’t ever using her again!”
Cynthia’s parents then realized who they were talking to and their attitudes immediately changed.
“Please forgive us, Lord Mammon. We hadn’t planned for the girl to summon you. We apologize for the inconvenience the child caused you. If you would stay, we could reimburse you for your troubles.” Cynthia’s father bowed his head as he addressed Mammon. Mammon on the other hand outright laughed at that statement. Turning into his demon form he barked out
“You think her summoning me was an inconvenience?! You two are crazier than I thought! Now listen here and listen closely, neither of you are to come near or look for her. None of you are going to use her again. We are leaving and don’t ever bother trying to summon me again. Ya know, you should thank Cynthia. If she didn’t plead with me not to hurt either of you, you’d both be dead. Make no mistake, if either of you try to summon me or if I find you anywhere near her again, I will rip your hearts out and feed you to Cerberus. Kapeesh?” The dark undertones of Mammon’s voice got through to Cynthia’s parents as their faces paled in fear and they quickly agreed. They begged for his forgiveness and promised not to harm Cynthia again if he could just stay awhile. Not bothering with them anymore, Mammon picked Cynthia up and walked out, flying towards the one witch he’d ever trusted. When he landed, he realized that Cynthia was crying.
“Sorry Cyn, I didn’t scare ya, did I?”
“A-a little, but these aren’t scared tears. I’m happy. Thank you for getting me away from them and for letting them live.”
“Of course. The Great Mammon keeps his promises.” Mammon walked up to the door of the small cottage. He knocked and a young witch with long blond hair, green eyes, and freckles answered the door.
“Mammon what a surprise! What brings you here?” She opened the door gesturing for him to come in.
“Sorry, not today Kelly. I’m actually here for her.” Mammon stepped aside, revealing a scared Cynthia behind him.
“Oh my Diavolo! What happened to you, you poor girl?!” Kelly rushed forward cupping Cynthia’s chin as she inspected her body, taking in all the bruises and cuts.
“Kelly, this is Cynthia. She summoned me to save her from her parents. I was wondering if ya could take care of her. I know ya've always wanted a kid, so…”
“Of course! I could never turn someone in need away, especially a girl as cute as her.” She said while pinching Cynthia’s cheeks. Cynthia giggled in response.
“Ok then, Cynthia, Kelly here’s gonna take care of you. I promise that she won’t act like your mom and she will help you learn how to use both your magic and your pact.” Reaching into his pocket, Mammon pulled out the Grimm he’d earned that day. He then put them into Cynthia’s palm.
“Here ya go kid. Now if you ever visit me, you’ll have some money to spend.” Mammon turned to leave when he felt a tug on his sleeve. He looked down to see Cynthia pulling him down to the ground. He crouched down. Cynthia then kissed his cheek, giving him one of the Grimm he’d given her.
“Thank you Mammon.” She then ran behind Kelly’s legs and waved goodbye with a massive smile on her face.
It’s been a couple years since Mammon saved Cynthia. She’d grown to be a strong and skilful sorcerer. He’d visit her often over the years with something in tow for her. Mammon never spent the Grimm that Cynthia gave back to him on that day. Whenever Mammon had a tough time with the numerous witches he’d find himself in debt with, he’d always find his way to her, and she comforted him, never asking for more than his company, something he was more than happy to give. His brothers would always know whenever he went to see her as he’d always come back with a content smile on his face. Deep down, he wished that Y/N could’ve met Cynthia. They would have made great friends as they were the only 2 people who could make him smile like this. Mammon may not have been able to save Y/N, but he swore that he would protect Cynthia, no matter the cost.
