i point at gregor samsa and say "hes so me"
at night i lay in bed because
nothing will ever properly convey the eternal dread i felt whilst reading the metamorphosis.

Actually can’t believe that post that circulated about interpreting Kafka’s Metamorphosis because to me when I was reading it I was just like “oh this is an allegory for the sorts of disability that other people struggle to deal with. Checks out.” And then it’s not even mentioned in the Wikipedia interpretations section at all??

The "Would you still love me if I was a worm?" thing amuses me because Franz Kafka's most famous work is literally just, "No, absolutely not."

I made a small watercolor painting for my philosophy teacher the other day. It’s inspired by Franz Kafka’s book “Die Verwandlung” or “The Metamorphosis” in English. It’s one of my favorite books — that I’m pleased to say I’ve read in both English and German — and my first philosophical read. It really got me interested in the concept of man and to what extent one is still oneself. So in light of the recent coming to life of our little philosophical discourse group, I wanted to make her a little gift. She gave me a book and a sweet card! Anyway, I really like how this painting turned out and I wish you all a good day!! <33
