sollux & terezi on beforus are in the business of ruining lives (for fun and profit)
details + bonus doodles under cut
ive been in a beforus mood lately so im thinking abt what the trolls lives could have been like.
sollux and terezi are white collar criminals. i wanted to give her the seer curse of Seeing Things even though she isn't a player, so she utilizes her infinite outcome matrix analysis abilities to forsee tragedies specifically caused by negligence. there was definitely a point in her childhood where she attempted to be a mothmanesque figure, warning potential innocents of upcoming events and terrorizing the people responsible for totally preventable misfortune.
Tumblr media
but then she grew up and realized that the people who were responsible for shoddy architecture, massive layoffs, and general societal injustices didn't have a conscience to torment. They were gaming the system for money $$$ and you had to hit them where it hurts. she used her proclivity for predicting small-scale catastrophes to predict how said ensuing scandals would affect the stocks for the entities involved. you can't make the executive heads feel bad about dropping 30% of their staff to feed their own salaries, but you can definitely manipulate the market and ruin their public perception until people are papering their hives with the company currency
sollux, who worked the BSE as their best surveillance analyst, clocked terezi as a front runner when she showed up out of absolutely nowhere and scored huge profits after two consecutive PR disasters led to the bankruptcy of like 8 corps and heavy damage to their subsidiaries. it was kind of impressive, but he had a job to do yaknow? terezi, who was immediately on the run from the beforus finance cops and had to be sneakier and meaner with her manipulation, and sollux became completely obsessed with this criminal mastermind who was VERY easy to track. she was always behind the scenes in every major upset but sloppy about it. he probably should have turned her over to the authorities the second he knew her location. but, let's be honest, can you resist a pyrope on a mission?
Tumblr media
after a very tumultuous rivalry that swung red and black like a centrifuge they eventually join forces because it turns out terezi doesn't have any inside info. she's just acting on VERY good hunches. there's honestly not really anything illegal she's doing PERSAY. and then sollux joins the efforts and uses his forensic experience to make her a lot harder to track, as well as collecting sensitive info and facilitating scandals that will rock the bottom line of anyone they consider an enemy. terezi is very into the networking part of it, amassing a silent army of business associates who can do the dirty work for them, either through bribery or blackmail. she knows how to get people to do what she wants >:] it's a bit morally dubious but it's all for the sake of the people.
lots of fun moments with these two, like when sollux brainstorms a series of possible connections that could insinuate that a group of people have been too careless in their various embezzlement schemez and theres a big tower of cards begging to be toppled. or when terezi comes to a sudden realisation that a potential whistleblower's nerve is about to run out and they've gotta act NOW if they want to benefit from the fallout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these two are always hiding from the 9+ cumulative life sentences they've accrued and the financial ruin theyve rained on corporate beforus. as a result, they pretty much only have each other, and maybe a handful of their most trusted affiliates. kind of hard to nourish any type of relationship when the people close to you are in danger of being implicated in your many crimes and all of your enemies are incredibly wealthy, powerful, and influential. i imagine their luck runs out one day and they're disappeared from society without a trace.

k…kaveh…. cooking / baking with kaveh… pleek
hihi lexi!! like i said i couldnt pick between the two ideas so guess what i wrote both. i couldve theoretically used the same starter paragraph and build from there but this is supposed to be a warm up so i just rewrote the whole thing. bon apetit
i.
The kitchen starts off as a dream—bright sunlight spilling through the windows, the smell of butter and vanilla sweetening the air, and Kaveh beside you in a loose button-up shirt, sleeves rolled to his elbows, curls still damp from a shower. He hums under his breath as he flips through the recipe, muttering architectural metaphors under his breath like “structural integrity of sponge” and “foundation of flavor.”
You’re trying to take it seriously. You really are.
Until he dips his finger into the batter—your batter—and tastes it without even asking.
“Kaveh!” you scold, slapping at his hand. “You didn’t even wash—”
“I did, I did! Just now. Trust me.” He licks a smudge from his knuckle with a satisfied hum. “Mm. A little more vanilla.”
“You mean a little more space.”
He just grins, smug and syrup-sweet, and that’s when you swipe a dab of flour from the counter and smudge it across his cheek.
He blinks. You freeze. His smile widens slowly, like sunlight creeping across tile.
“Oh,” he says softly. “So that’s how it’s going to be.”
You try to retreat, but it’s too late. Kaveh dips his hand into the flour bag and tosses—a full handful, reckless and entirely too enthusiastic. It poofs against your shoulder and rains down your front, clinging to your clothes and hair like powdered snow.
“Kaveh!”
You grab a spatula like a weapon. He ducks. You chase. The war begins.
It’s not a fight so much as a dessert-themed disaster. You flick melted butter at him—he flicks it back. He tries to shield himself with a baking tray, but you score a direct hit with a spoonful of jam. He gasps, wounded in pride and pastry, and hurls a fistful of flour like it’s divine retribution.
“You maniac—that’s my favorite shirt!”
“You should’ve thought of that before you threw the frosting!”
“You started this!”
“You tasted the batter without asking!”
At some point, he tackles you gently against the counter, both of you laughing so hard it’s impossible to aim properly anymore. There’s frosting in your hair. Flour down his collar. Eggshells crunch underfoot. The mixing bowl has mysteriously migrated to the floor, its contents now a sticky casualty of war.
And yet—miraculously—the cake is still in the oven, untouched. Quiet. Perfect.
You slide to the floor together, breathless, a bag of powdered sugar between you like a white flag. Kaveh’s head lolls against your shoulder as he wheezes a laugh.
“Look at this,” he murmurs, glancing around the wreckage. “We turned the kitchen into a battlefield.”
“There’s cream cheese in the light fixture,” you point out, dazed.
He snorts, curls bouncing. “A worthy sacrifice.”
You lean back against the cabinets, exhausted and cackling, wiping sugar from his jaw with your sleeve. He catches your wrist in his fingers and presses a kiss to the inside, lips warm and sweet. You can smell the vanilla on his shirt.
Neither of you moves.
“I don’t think we can ever use this kitchen again,” you mumble.
“I’ll redesign it,” Kaveh offers sleepily. “Self-cleaning countertops. Jam-resistant backsplash. Flour traps.”
You chuckle, tipping your head against his. “And if we burn the cake after all this?”
He shrugs. “It’s okay.” His fingers twine with yours, sticky with sugar. “It'd be worth it, i think."
ii.
It starts innocent.
You and Kaveh shoulder to shoulder at the kitchen counter, his golden hair tied back (because you insisted), your apron covered in a thin dusting of flour, both of you deep in the rhythm of baking. The late afternoon sun pools on the tiles and warms the wooden floor beneath your feet. The air smells like cinnamon, butter, and something sweet you can't quite name—maybe because it’s not just the ingredients that have you light-headed.
Kaveh hums as he stirs, sleeves rolled, wrist flicking in graceful arcs. He looks like a painting—something classical, soft around the edges, with light caught in his lashes and sugar stuck to the side of his cheek. You try not to stare too long, but he catches you anyway.
“You’re not helping,” he says, lips twitching.
“I’m the one who cracked the eggs,” you say defensively.
He grins. “Oh yes, what a difficult and noble contribution.”
“You’re this close to wearing this batter, sir.”
He holds up his hands. “Alright, alright! You’re invaluable. Irreplaceable. A key structural pillar to the baking process.”
You narrow your eyes. “Flattery won’t save you.”
He leans in just slightly, voice lower now, teasing: “It might. If I do it right.”
You try to focus. Really, you do.
The batter is poured. The oven preheated. You slide the cake pan in and shut the door with a sense of quiet pride. Kaveh sets the timer, but neither of you really check how long it's supposed to go for. The hard part is over, right?
So you lean back against the counter, dusting your hands off with a satisfied sigh. He’s standing close. A little too close. Close enough that when you look up, you don’t just see his eyes—you feel the way he’s looking at you.
Your heart skips.
Kaveh reaches out, brushing your jaw lightly with sugar-dusted fingers. “You’ve got something here,” he murmurs. His thumb lingers at the corner of your mouth. It doesn’t feel like a casual touch.
“You’re making that up.”
“I’m not. I’m being very attentive.” His thumb traces your bottom lip, slow and deliberate. “I take my duties as a partner seriously.”
You smile. “So serious. Such professionalism.”
His breath fans your cheek. “If you keep talking, I’m going to kiss you.”
He leans closer, his hands brushing your waist, warm and certain. You arch a brow.
“Kaveh,” you warn, but you’re already leaning in.
“Just a taste,” he whispers against your mouth.
His mouth is warm and soft, and he kisses like someone who forgets the world when he’s doing it. One hand slips behind your back, the other threading through your hair, fingers gentle but firm, as if he’s scared to let go. You wrap your arms around his neck, dragging him closer, and he laughs quietly against your lips—sweet and sinful and entirely too distracting.
The kitchen fades.
The timer ticks on.
You press him back against the counter, his hips meeting yours in a rhythm that has nothing to do with baking. He kisses you again, deeper this time, hands roving, breath caught somewhere between a sigh and a moan. The smell of cinnamon is still there, faintly—but now it’s joined by something darker. Acrid. Smoky.
Neither of you notice at first. You’re too far gone, tangled up in the heat of each other’s mouths, the heat of his hands, the little noises he makes when your fingers trace the edge of his jaw.
Then the smoke alarm beeps. Sharp. Shrill.
Kaveh pulls away. “...Wait.”
You blink. “...Was that—?”
You both turn slowly toward the oven.
Black smoke is curling from the edges of the door.
Kaveh lunges. “No no no no—”
The oven door swings open with a hiss of heat. The cake is dark. Too dark. The edges are burnt and sunken. The top is cracked like dry earth. There’s a silence, heavy and disbelieving.
He sets the tray on the stove and stares at it with the kind of expression usually reserved for natural disasters and personal betrayals.
You cover your mouth to hide the laugh. “Kaveh—”
“Don’t,” he says flatly, “don’t you dare.”
You do laugh, anyway. You can’t help it. “I told you we were getting distracted.”
“You were the one who kissed me!”
“You were the one who looked like a Renaissance angel covered in powdered sugar!”
“That’s your defense?!”
“Yes!”
He looks at the cake again. Then at you. Then groans and sinks into one of the kitchen chairs, dramatic as ever.
You walk over, wrap your arms around his shoulders from behind, resting your chin on the top of his head. His hair smells like vanilla and warm spice. He sighs.
There’s burnt cake. Smoke in the air. A scorched tray and flour on the floor. And despite it all, when he turns his head to glance at you, he smiles softly. Still dazzled. Still yours.
“...It’s okay,” he murmurs, voice low and affectionate, "Guess we’ll just have to make another one, hm?"

ok i had this idea pop into my head but what if when the autobots did find Alexis but it was in the middle of starscream grooming her or something? Like startscream is either trying to get her to settle down or ready for bed and is being all so gentle with this tiny human, would kinda freak the autobots out a little lol.
That would be hilarious! I've written out a little scene of this possible scenario. Hope you enjoy!
The Autobots have finally located Starscream's base. It was in Vos, after all this time. They send in Mirage, because of his outlier ability he's one of the few dragons who might make it out alive.
His footsteps are soft as he scopes out Starscream's fortress. It's been here for a while. Centuries at least, likely built during one of Starscream's earlier banishments
Mirage is not looking for anything in particular, just checking the defences and seeing if there are any weaknesses he can exploit. The Autobots will have to launch a raid on this place eventually. Leaving a guy like Starscream to his own devices was a receipe for disaster.
Mirage sneaks past hordes of dangerous seekers, all while keeping in contact with Autobot HQ through his coms. Managing to stay alive only becausd he was invisible. The seeker guards were relaxed. They didn't suspect anything this deep in the toxic lands of Cybertron. Mirage felt a point of pride as he walked right past Thrust and Ramjet, he was the only one who could do this.
Eventually the small drake made his way deeper into the mountain fortress. If the Autobots were ever going to launch a successful assault, they need to know the full layout.
And then a human ran around the corner.
Mirage nearly glitches right then and there. He shimmered for a moment before returning invisible. The human stopped and stared with sharp little green eyes.
It was so small. All humans were. But the looming decepticon architecture made her seem even more so.
Did she see him? What was a human even doing in this base? In the middle of Cybertron in a decepticon fortress. Was it a prisoner? But then why was it just walking around and-
Mirage's thoughts are interrupted when the ground shook ever so slightly beneath his claws.
The human smirked.
And pit-spawned Starscream himself prowled around the corner. Mirage had forgotten how big the seeker was. Deadly blue claws clacked against the marble floor, supporting giant red wings that could swallow an organic army in their shadow.
Mirage flattened himself against the wall as the white dragon glared down at the human.
"Alexis! This resistance is futile!"
"I'm not tired!"
"I don't care. Come here!" He pointed to the ground with his claw.
"Make me." Mirage's optics nearly popped out of his head.
Starscream smiled. The human bolted. But Starscream was on Alexis in seconds and pinned her to the ground. Mirage cursed himself for not acting sooner. He had been so stunned. But now that poor human was a goner and...
She was laughing?
There was no crunch of bone or blood staining Starscream's servo. The human was clutching the claws and laughing as they gently curled around her and lifted her up to Starscream's face. She hugged those serrated edges like they were pillows, and rested her cheek against the tip of one claw, "but I'm not tired."
"You've to be up early tomorrow, you'll thank me later," Starscream's voice was strange, the rasp low and soft. Not the screeching enraged pitch Mirage was used to. One claw gently stroked Alexis's back. Mirage had seen those claws cave in Autobot helms.
"I don't want to."
"Too bad."
"You're being mean," the human grumbled as Starscream began walking away. In a stunned daze Mirage followed. He had to see this.
"Oh? What took you so long?"
"What if I just stay up all night?"
"That would not be wise."
Alexis yawned, "I'm totally going to do it. Unless... you make sleep worth my while."
Starscream stopped and started down at her. She smiled.
"What do you want you little vermin?" Mirage didn't know Starscream could sound fond.
"We've run out of strawberries. If tomorrow there was some, I could perhaps be persuaded to fall asleep."
"You made me chase you halfway across this fortress for fruit!?"
"It's not my fault you're slow."
Starscream tossed her in the air. Mirage held his breath. Starscream caught her between his teeth and kept walking.
"So is that a yes?"
"I'll think about it."
"So yes?"
"Perhaps."
The human cheered, nestled between giant teeth that could rip her to shreds in an instant. Starscream vanished around the corner. Gradually the tremors faded and Mirage was alone.
He raised his shaking claws to his helm and activated his comms, "Jazz, we've got a problem."

Sonic Overdrive - Discussion 1: Mobius, General Lore & World-Building
Okay, for ANYBODY who doesn't know much about Sonic, you might be a bit confused but bear with me.
So, imagine a world where the events of World War II didn't end quite the way we know them. Instead of the Cold War playing out as it did in our timeline, the world was thrown into a chaotic period of geopolitical turmoil that led to something far more sinister—The Iron Dominion.
This is a global fascist regime born from the remnants of the Soviet Union and the Axis Powers, ruled with an iron fist by none other than Baron Robotnik. His goal? Absolute order.A world of cold, mechanical efficiency under his complete control, where organic life is seen as flawed and inefficient. Think of it as a dieselpunk dystopia where Robotnik's vision of progress means replacing freedom with relentless authoritarianism. But on the other side, you have GUN—The Guardian Units of Nations.
They were the Allied forces reimagined into a global counter-terrorism and defense organization, formed from the most powerful nations within NATO and The Allies. Their job? To keep the world from falling into the grip of Robotnik’s tyranny. They're the last bastion of hope for free nations and a symbol of resistance against totalitarianism.
Now, let's talk about Mobians. You know how nuclear fallout was a big deal post-WWII? Here, that fallout didn't just result in environmental disasters; it mutated Earth's wildlife, creating anthropomorphic animal-folk—Mobians. These guys are just as intelligent and capable as humans, and over time, they integrated into society, carving out their own place in this strange new world. Think of it as an alternate history where humans and Mobians coexist, sometimes in harmony, sometimes in conflict.
Mobius itself isn’t some distant alien planet; it’s actually Earth, rebranded in this new age of mutation and technology. Cities blend towering dieselpunk skyscrapers with neon-lit streets, mixing gritty industrial settings with slick, futuristic tech. Just imagine a world with smokestacks and flying cars, zeppelins patrolling the skies, and cybernetic enhancements being commonplace. GUN has access to advanced dieselpunk-era weaponry, and experimental energy tech, while Robotnik's forces specialize in towering mechanical war machines, roboticized soldiers, and mind-controlling cybernetics.
The tech war between the two is an ongoing arms race, and civilians are often caught in the middle of it. And speaking of civilians, society is a mixed bag. Some regions thrive under GUN's protection, flourishing in relative freedom with bustling trade and culture. Others, especially those under Robotnik’s rule, live under oppressive surveillance and draconian laws, where even the slightest dissent can result in forced cybernetic assimilation. It’s a world where people have to pick a side—freedom or control.
In the midst of all this are the Freedom Force. They're kind of the wild card in this conflict. They aren’t a formal military group like GUN; instead, they're a vigilante-milita of rebel superheroes, stepping in where governments fail, fighting crime, aiding those in need, and of course, taking the fight directly to Robotnik’s forces. They're the ones inspiring hope in people who are too afraid to resist, and they thrive in the shadows, using guerrilla tactics and high-speed hit-and-run operations.
Culturally, there’s this mix of 1910s-50s style in fashion and architecture, but modern and even futuristic. Mobians and humans alike dressed in trench coats and fedoras, walking past neon-lit jazz clubs, or tuning into propaganda radio broadcasts while underground resistance cells plan their next move. It's a world that's both familiar and wildly different.
From the smoke-filled industrial sprawl of Robotnik-controlled cities to the vibrant free hubs of places under GUN's protection, there's a wide range of locations. You have war-torn wastelands, hidden underground resistance hideouts, sprawling metropolises with looming propaganda billboards, and even lush natural reserves where some Mobians have chosen to live off the grid, far from human influence. Travel and transportation in this world are also unique. High-speed rail networks connect major cities, while massive zeppelins dominate the skies, serving as both luxurious travel hubs and heavily fortified warships.

The Halloween Update! (since we Mateo Vincent??? MATEO forgot to update the blog.) Part 5
Mateo is the one who is responsible for updating the website but as the last photo is his, allow me to do the honors of updating you with the finale of this... Je ne sais pas, this series? Oui, it seems to be the proper term. Mateo went in as this... hm, how curious. This is... a costume? Really? I thought he was wearing his usual outfit! Madame Ling went in as a nurse—which I was later told that she actually went as Nurse Joy from Pokémon (that surprised me), Kirra went in as Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn (Sasha a fait un travail incroyable!) And you're telling me that... Mateo wore a costume? This is a costume? Who is he even supposed to be? Himself? The colors don't fit him, he looks so... plain. Mon dieu, what a disaster. I thought he was an architecture student? Why is he—
Tumblr media
Quoi merde—Mateo?!
Cabrón, chingas tu madre. You think you can just push me off the computer like that, homie?
The hit was unnecessary, connard!
And so is pushing me off the computer, so now I'm just giving you a taste of your medicine! Take that, tonto!
Why, you—?!?
Yes, me! Go back and work in admin instead of taking care of children since you're so bad at it!
If there's anyone who's deathly bad at something, it's you and your idiotic fashion sense! Why not ask the new babysitter for fashion tips since you obviously need some, asshole!
What?! I don't need fashion advice from him, I'm the reason he dresses that way! I told him how to dress!
Have you told him that you're just as violent as your aunt too?!
Tumblr media
(They continued bickering until Sasha put a stop to them both—or, more correctly, Vincent was taken away against his will as Sasha carried him on his shoulder, effectively leaving Mateo to finally do this job.)
Um... Sorry about that. You didn't have to see that, haha.
Anyway! If you ask me, I definitely had a blast at our party! It was just unfortunate that we weren't able to post videos and other photos besides the ones we have with our Little Wonders since we needed consent from the parents and the, well, sitter after party is, um... not really available to be disclosed to the public (let's just say that depressed adults are involved). But enough about that, let's talk about my lil' homies!
First things first, I love Pokémon. I still have my original Gameboy cartridges for Pokemon Blue and Red, I collect the cards, I've played all of them and I have very strong team compositions in all of my games! I thought that maybe the kids would like Pokémon and so I dressed up as one of my childhood heroes—Ash Ketchum! No kidding, I cried so hard when I watched him finally become the world champion from the episode from last year. There's news about the series finally ending, too! So it felt appropriate to give a tribute to my own personal hero.
I was planning to bring my very own 'pokémon' to the party (it was just a bunch of my exotic pets, nothing much) because the kids wanted to see them but I realized that, well, the kids are very rowdy and it would be hard to bring them. So instead I made little pokéballs for everyone!
Tumblr media
As for my favorite buddies, I like to think that I'm putting them here because they're fun and chill to hang with! They're absolutely cute, passionate, and adorable, no one can resist these little troublemakers even if they make a mistake.
I absolutely adore Tala's sass and liveliness. She would talk to me about the Filipino telenovelas her moms would watch with her and I love her enthusiasm about learning about her culture this way. She's quite the conversationalist, too, as she never runs out of stories!
Jamie was livid when I gave him the pokéball I made and I know mi hombrecito would appreciate what I gave him. He reminded me of me due to his obsession with the action figure and cartoon character KAY/O. He's quite the lively and imaginative kid and I couldn't be more honored to have a little space in the little guy's head everyday and every night when he falls asleep.
And of course, who's going to forget lil' Sunwoo Byrne? Kid's got a huge appetite, she absolutely loves the sandwiches I made her before! I do think it's cute that both her and Jamie are fans of Pokémon given that they bond over watching cartoons and the like! Makes me feel secure knowing that there are still kids who loved cartoons as much as I did—do, since I still watch them now. They're just fun to be around with, you get me?
And unfortunately I was the last one in this batch. Maybe in the future we'll get to have another one to be included in posts like this? I don't know, but this was certainly fun to write!

Residential Structural Engineer: Key to Safe and Durable Homes
Tumblr media
When constructing, renovating, or inspecting a home, ensuring its safety and durability is paramount. This is where a residential structural engineer plays a vital role. With expertise in analyzing, designing, and assessing structural systems, these professionals ensure that your home stands the test of time while adhering to safety codes and regulations.
In this article, we’ll explore what residential structural engineers do, their importance in home projects, and how to hire the right one for your needs.
What Is a Residential Structural Engineer?
A residential structural engineer is a licensed professional who specializes in designing and evaluating the structural integrity of residential properties. They ensure that a home’s framework, including its foundation, walls, beams, and roofs, is strong enough to support its load and withstand environmental forces like wind, earthquakes, and snow.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design: Creating detailed plans for the home’s framework.
Load Analysis: Calculating forces such as weight, wind pressure, and seismic activity.
Inspection Services: Assessing existing structures for damage, safety, or code compliance.
Renovation Planning: Ensuring that additions or modifications do not compromise structural integrity.
Why Do You Need a Residential Structural Engineer?
1. Ensure Safety and Stability
Structural engineers design homes to withstand various loads and environmental factors, preventing risks like collapsing walls or sinking foundations.
2. Meet Building Codes
Each region has specific building codes and regulations. Structural engineers ensure that your home complies with these standards, avoiding legal complications.
3. Address Complex Designs
Custom or complex architectural designs often require advanced engineering solutions. Structural engineers bring these designs to life safely and efficiently.
4. Avoid Costly Repairs
Early involvement of a structural engineer in your project can prevent structural issues that could lead to expensive repairs in the future.
When Do You Need a Residential Structural Engineer?
1. New Home Construction
When building a new home, Residential Structural Engineer design the framework to ensure safety and longevity.
2. Major Renovations
Projects like adding an extra story, removing load-bearing walls, or expanding your home require structural evaluations.
3. Visible Structural Issues
Signs like cracks in the foundation, sagging floors, or leaning walls warrant an inspection by a structural engineer.
4. Property Damage
After a natural disaster or accidental damage, a structural engineer can assess the safety and recommend necessary repairs.
5. Real Estate Transactions
Homebuyers or sellers may require structural assessments to confirm the property’s condition and value.
Services Offered by Residential Structural Engineers
1. Structural Design
Creating detailed plans for foundations, walls, roofs, and load-bearing elements that ensure the home’s stability.
2. Foundation Inspection and Repair
Assessing the condition of the foundation and providing solutions for issues like cracks, settling, or water damage.
3. Seismic Retrofitting
For homes in earthquake-prone areas, engineers implement retrofitting solutions to improve resilience.
4. Load-Bearing Wall Assessments
Determining whether a wall is load-bearing and recommending safe methods for its removal or modification.
5. Roof Design and Inspection
Evaluating roof structures for safety and weather resistance, and designing new systems when needed.
6. Damage Assessment and Repairs
Inspecting and recommending repairs for structural damage caused by aging, weather, or accidents.
How to Hire the Right Residential Structural Engineer
1. Verify Credentials
Ensure the engineer is licensed and certified in your state. Look for affiliations with professional organizations like the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
2. Review Experience
Choose an engineer with experience in residential projects similar to yours, whether it’s new construction, remodeling, or inspections.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess: The Senior Year Adventures, Book 2 A book by Rick Riordan:
Wrath of the Triple Goddess:💥🏛️🐕‍🦺🪄
A book blog by me~
Tumblr media
*Personally, this book blew me away.*
Book Summary:
The story begins in the lovely month of October, appreciating a rare moment of calm. Percy Jackson is gathering his credentials to attend New Rome University. However, his plans take a turn when he is summoned to the principal’s office and encounters yet another demanding god: Hecate, the Goddess of magic, crossroads, and necromancy. After threatening his very existence, she offers him a recommendation—a significant opportunity—on the condition that he and his friends pet-sit her polecat, Gale, and hellhound, Hecuba, over Halloween week while she enjoys the festivities (which she believes are in her honor as the goddess of necromancy).
Easy enough, right? Wrong. Nothing is ever simple for this demigod-and-satyr trio.
First, there were magical eels and three enchanted doorknobs—one that could predict the future, one that lied, and one that spouted random nonsense. Gale’s diet consisted of two entire uncooked chickens hanging from the ceiling each day, leaving a disgusting mess. Hecuba was hellish to walk, dragging Percy and his crew through the streets of New York, and Gale wasn’t much better.
Then there was the strawberry ice cream–flavored potion left behind by Hecate, which was a recipe for disaster. Grover, whose only weaknesses are strawberry-flavored treats and caffeine, couldn’t resist. While Percy and Annabeth were busy with their senior year responsibilities, Grover took a taste, grew ten times his normal size, destroyed Hecate’s house, and lost her pets. At that point, any hope of escaping this pet-sitting adventure alive seemed lost—or so they thought.
In their scramble to get their shit together before the goddess came back and gave them a magical/not so magical ass-whooping, Percy reunited with his beloved hellhound, Mrs. O’Leary. She introduced the group to an adorable abandoned hellhound puppy, which they named “Nope!”—because that was all it said.
As the story unfolded, they learned more about Hecate’s pets. Hecuba, the hellhound, attempted to attack civilians with a rising undead army, which appeared to the mortals as an enormous rat infestation. After being touched by an undead soldier, Percy was confronted with Hecuba’s tragic past—the fall of Troy and the death of her children. He realized the pain she had carried for millennia and helped her feel seen and understood. This act of empathy allowed her to bond with the abandoned hellhound puppy, Nope. But not before Percy was drained of energy after Hecuba dragged him through shadow travel across multiple regions.
Annabeth also had her own vision when touched by an undead soldier. Instead of people, she saw the destruction of architecture, which troubled her. Percy reminded her that the vision was what she needed to see, not a reflection of what she cared most about.
Meanwhile, Gale was discovered to be under the control of the Nereids. In her past life, Gale was a witch whom Hecate took pity on, transforming her into a polecat after humans and gods alike doubted her abilities and wished for her downfall. The Nereids had forced Gale into labor by sending mechanical bees to sting her if she stopped moving. These same Nereids were linked to a past adventure involving Percy and Annabeth.
During the fight with the Nereids, Percy developed camaraderie with Gale through another vision. In the battle, Percy grew tentacle arms, Annabeth ended up with an owl face, and Grover gained human feet (the worst transformation of all). When they finally freed Gale, Percy offered her the chance to become human again by sacrificing the last dose of the antidote. However, Gale chose to remain a polecat and keep her immortality, allowing Percy to take the antidote instead.
With all the pets safely returned, the trio raised an undead army to rebuild Hecate’s destroyed home. The undead were led by a dictator-like colonialist who harbored resentment toward his mother, Hecate. Controlling the spirits to do their bidding, they managed to restore the house just in time, though they struggled quite a bit to keep them under control.
But expelling the spirits on Halloween night proved even more challenging. Percy fought the spirits with his pen-sword, Grover acted as a ghostbuster to draw them away, and Annabeth used Hecate’s torches to guard the rebuilt house. Things seemed hopeless until a van of demigod campers arrived for the Halloween party and helped defeat the undead army. Together, they incapacitated the undead leader just long enough for Percy and Annabeth to cross Hecate’s torches and banish the spirits for good.
When Hecate returned, everything appeared as it was—except for an empty soda bottle, which she assumed was left from a celebration of her. Percy faced a crossroads: tell her the truth or risk the pets’ futures. Choosing the selfless path, he told Hecate everything and advocated for Gale and Hecuba’s freedom. He also convinced her to reopen her magic school and allow his Nereid school counselor to run the program, addressing her regrets as the root cause of her house’s instability.
In the end, Percy left everything better than he found it and reunited with his family, realizing that even as he prepared to leave for New Rome University, his roots in New York would always remain strong.
My Connection:
This book hit close to home for me as a rising senior. Grover’s anxiety about sabotaging his friends’ recommendation resonated deeply. While I don’t relate to his actions, I understand the fear of losing people you’ve grown with. The thought of everyone moving on to college feels like leaving behind a piece of myself since my friends are such a big part of my identity.
Percy’s reunion with his family also struck a chord. It reminded me that no matter how far life takes you, the people and places you love will always stay connected to you. That was a comforting message as I think about the future.
I have literally grown up with this book. The first time I picked up a book by this author was in 5th grade, and I have continued to tune into this world since that time. For that reason, I feel that this book also makes up part of my roots. Percy Jackson was one of those book series that first made me okay with being me. I had ADHD and was diagnosed at a very young age (which was lucky in hindsight, but it made me feel so alone). Growing up, my struggles with it were minimized and presented as my weakness, but through this series, I have come to realize that it was not my weakness but in fact a strength, as well as a struggle I would have to face head-on.
Though I don’t get a pen-sword or the power to fight hidden monsters because of my ADHD, it was nice to find a character I could so wholeheartedly relate to and feel empowered by. I also don’t feel that I am alone in this. Through its spunky language and presentation of struggles that so many can relate to, I feel that almost anyone could find a place in their heart for this book and that it too would leave a positive imprint on them.
LOVE YA PERCY JACKSON, ANNABETH AND GROVER ❤️❤️❤️

Under the Red Sky FFXIVWrite Day 3: Smoke (freebie)
Rushed footsteps and screams surrounded Emet as he quickened his pace through the streets of Amaurot, smoke thickened the air, having already stifled the voices of too many. Heat rose from crevices where solid ground had been shattered by unfettered force, blazing chunks of earth crashed around them, more than once causing Emet to dive to one side or the other to avoid being crushed. He couldn’t save them all… There were too many monstrosities roaming the streets, the majority having given chase to fleeing citizens - who to Emet’s own admission, ran in hopeless fear as no place was safe.
Envoys had flooded Amaurot the first few days, otherworldly events began to shatter their star, beasts crawling up from nothing, unbearable climate disasters leaving the land barren and crops all but obliterated. The plan to issue Amaurot as a safe haven crumbled on the second day of planning, tremors toppling countless buildings, fire breaking out in the remnants as beasts seemed to be born from the flames.
Emet coughed on toxic smoke as tears strolled down his face, leaving pale lines through his soot covered face, his mask having long since fallen away. He had to find him… He found it difficult to make any headway as he pushed against the fleeing crowds, none seemingly noticed him as horror plunged their hearts into despair. Anyone observing would think him a fool for rushing against the grain of those who seemingly had a better sense of their own safety than he.
Finally a clearing in the fleeing populace presented itself, though barely two steps were taken before Emet watched in horror as unimaginable beasts flooded into the newfound space, their cries bringing Emet to a complete standstill. Where is he!? He thought to himself as he quickly sought any break in the crawling obstacle.
To the far side there was a small break in the mass of beasts, the path of least resistance he thought to himself as he rushed to skirt around the nearest of creatures. Lack of sleep had dulled his reflexes, causing him to move slower than his typical and betraying his sense of timing. Before he’d even crossed half way towards the small opening, beasts had flooded in front of him, his own hopelessness beginning to tear at his already crumbling confidence. There’s no way, he repeated as he struggled to battle a figure that had far too many mouths to be of sane creation. Wielding his aether with what control he could muster, he managed to down the beast with a final shriek escaping its lips, only in time for another to fill its place.
Dread filled his heart as the path to the Bureau of Architecture seemed to permanently seal before his eyes. He was too late… If his love still lingered beyond the swarm, he’d likely never know. He screamed as a set of jaws clamped onto his right shoulder, the horror lifting him high into the air as though he were naught but a small kitten. He could feel blood seeping into his robes followed by a sickening crunch as the beast increased its pressure. Gathering what strength remained in his being, he sent out a final wave of aether, ending the wretched creature who subsequently dropped him, from much too high of a height, to the ground below.
Sweat mixed with ash, tears with blood, and breath became smoke as he crawled under a former archway, hoping to shield himself from the worst of the malignant forms slowly surrounding him. He couldn’t let it end like this, he begged - to what he didn’t know… He was too powerful, too skilled, to be undone as so many others had been.
As he lay there, blinking rapidly to clear his eyes, he swore a flash of familiar aether passed his field of vision. It was followed by a whip of lavender hair, sounds of battle emanating from the same direction. It can’t be! He shuddered. “Hythlodaeus!” he shouted with a gravelly voice. Almost immediately he regretted his outburst as beasts that had began to lose interest were renewed in their inquiry, sauntering once more towards him.
“Emet!” came a hoarse reply, followed by the thwak of an arrow striking the beast nearest him. The creature shrieked in pain before dropping less than two strides from where Emet lay.
“Hyth!” Emet again sounded, tears filling his eyes as the sight of his lover came nearer. Those tears of relief were immediately transformed to tears of terror as Hythlodaeus, now distracted, was brought to the ground by a lumbering figure, a clawed appendage sinking itself into the flesh of Hythlodaeus leg, pinning him in place.
“Em!” Hythlodaeus shrieked, pain overtaking the rest of his voice.
Fear, anger, and desolation wrought his body as the maws of the beast drew ever nearer to his lover’s neck, threatening to end Hythlodaeus' life in front of his eyes.
He clenched his jaw, pain erupting from his shattered shoulder as the muscles in his body tensed, as if of their own accord. With strength he should not have had left, he channeled aether from within and around him, sending out a shockwave that - while unable to finish off a great many of the beasts - was able to push most of them back, including the one that had been hovering just over Hythlodaeus’ frozen form.
In moments he’d become numb to the pain radiating throughout his body as he rushed to Hythlodaeus’ side, hand coming to rest on his lover’s shredded thigh, forcing healing aether through the wound to halt the worst of the bleeding. In only a few breaths he’d lifted Hythlodaeus from the ground, resting him over his good shoulder as he quickened his pace out of the city.
The entities that had recovered from the unexpected blast of aether gave chase, closing the small distance Emet had created.
“Emet! Hythlodaeus!” came a welcomed voice, “this way!”
Emet, never pausing, panned his view and saw brilliant flashes of golden hair as Venat brought several beast near her to their end.
“Hurry!” she cried as she expertly ended yet another one of the wretched threats.
Without conscious thought, Emet changed direction towards her position, thanking the aetherial sea that the way was mostly clear of rubble. He’d barely reached where she stood when he felt the crackle of raw energy explode behind him, causing him to glance behind him despite better judgment. All that remained of his deadly pursuers was a crater, the street obliterated with the countless horrors that were threatening their escape.
Venat clutched her head at the expulsion of energy, wavering slightly before regaining her composure. “We’ve got to hurry!” she again yelled, ushering herself and the two men in the direction of the few stragglers who had yet to flee.
“Where can we go?” Emet finally asked, as he kept pace with Venat in their final flight.
“Elpis has been cleared of the worst of the hoard, I’ve sent word for the rest of the convocation to make their way there as they are able,” she replied, her voice grown hoarse from having breathed in surely the same amount of smoke and ash as Emet had. He moved along in constant worry, Hythlodaeus’ unmoving form making him think the worst… we’d promised to return to the sea together, he silently scolded, more tears threatening to wash down his cheeks.
“He’s still with us,” Venat sounded above the ruckus. “Weak, but still with us,” she reaffirmed. “Until he’s conscious, we cannot rely on Aetherytes, let us find some place to hold our ground so I can tend to the two of you.”
“Where!?” Emet nearly shrieked, all around them were flames and crumbled buildings, the streets filled with more death than life.
“I don’t know, let us just quit the city!” came his colleagues' voice.
The three ran through the emptying streets, dodging what hellish beasts they could and Venat dispersing those they could not. Fewer and fewer citizens accompanied their path, more than not having fallen to their demise, littering the streets and wetting the pavement with their blood.
“This truly is the end,” Emet cried, embarrassed that the promise to return to the aetherial sea had taken on such a distasteful sensation in his body. His work was far from over, his return so far in the distance he’d hardly thought of it in terms of when and more if. He knew Hythlodaeus one day looked forward to his return, but had vowed his continuation so long as Emet saw work to be done. Now, with Hythlodaeus continued existence seemingly being torn from him, it was he who wanted to vow his existence to Hythlodaeus…
They neared what had been the gates of the city, crossing what could hardly be considered a bridge anymore as Venat took a sharp right, heading towards a desolate path, empty - which Emet considered fortunate for the time being.
“Where are you taking us?” he asked, having slowed slightly as his adrenaline gave out.
“I know a place, not far from here, it should serve as shelter for now,” was her curt reply. She whipped her head about, constantly surveying the land before them for any threats. Several times her and both men had to venture around deep crevices in the earth, their depths unknown as there seemed to be no end.
“It’s as if the star itself is breaking apart,” Emet pondered, reassuring himself that the end was upon them.
“Verily it appears so,” Venat replied, which gave Emet no peace. “Just up ahead, see that rocky outcrop?” Venat asked, pointing to a steep cliffside where countless boulders were strewn about.
“Aye.”
“We’ve just got to make it beyond that, not much further,” she tried to reassure.
The path before them was chaotically silent, once living beings now eternally quiet. Emet struggled to not think of how likely it’d have been him and Hythlodaeus both, had Venat not intervened. He’d always felt a slight envy for her prowess, her skill with aether being a close match to his own - not to mention her skill with a blade… where’d she learn that, he pondered - never having recalled hearing her train.
He could tell the loss of blood was starting to impact his awareness as random thoughts more easily clouded his head, memories of the last picnic he and Hythlodaeus had, where Hythlodaeus had foolishly overseasoned their ratatouille, effectively souring Emet’s mood when the rest of the meal was used to stifle the heat that scorched his mouth. He chuckled to himself at the thought of Hyth’s impish look as he scolded the lavender haired fool.
“Emet, just a little bit further,” came Venat’s voice, sounding far more distant than it should have. “Just a little further, we’re almost there,” the faint sound came - a dimming beacon in the darkness that was starting to enclose around his senses. “Emet!” was the last thing he heard as his vision went black and the numbness in his body took over.
Emet woke to an ache that permeated his entire body, his head felt as heavy as a boulder, causing him to wince when he attempted to lift it. A glow emanated from a fire not far beyond where he lay. Reality came flooding in as his vision came to register Hythlodaeus’ motionless form, had it not been for the soft rise and fall of his chest, Emet would have assumed he’d passed on to the aetherial sea without him. The thought triggered the need to cry, though no tears remained to be wept.
“You’re awake,” came a soothing voice, the soft notes bouncing off the walls of… it was a cave they were in, he concluded. “I’ve done all I can to mend your wounds, the rest is left to your bodies,” Venat said, making eye contact with Emet and looking as though she wished there was more she could do.
“Thank you,” Emet mouthed, his voice failing to leave his body.
“Worry not, dear friend… Rest, we’ve solace for now,” Venat reassured. She turned from him and stepped towards the fire, lifting a makeshift slab - adorned with cuts of meat - upon the coals of the fire. She then brought a shallow rock to Emet’s lips, ushering him to drink the small amount of water it held.
The fluid was like nothing he’d tasted before… The cool moisture began to wash away the smoke and ash that coated his throat. He began to cough, further clearing his vocal cords of the debris he’d inhaled. “Thank you,” he finally managed to croak out. “How is Hyth?” he asked, blushing slightly at having used the pet name in front of Venat.
“I’ve seen worse,” she said, failing to reassure Emet. “It will take some time to tell,” she followed up honestly.
“Aye,” was Emet’s short reply. Garnering the strength he could, he pushed himself - with his good arm - into a sitting position, noting that the entry to the cave was wide open - giving way to the quieted, though still reddened sky that had become their night. Beyond the entrance of the cave he could see several despicable forms, hunting in the dark for any life form left. “We’re not safe here,” he voiced in concern.
“For now we are, rest assured. ‘Twould take an army to undo the barriers in place,” Venat said, Emet finally noting how weary she truly was. “None can see in, ‘tis if it were solid rock - I promise,” she said with a small smile.
Silence fell over them as she tended to the meat in front of her, occasionally glancing up to check on either man. Naught changed for Hythlodaeus as he remained in deep slumber, though Emet’s anxiety started making it difficult to remain idle when so much felt needed to be done.
“‘Tis clear your mind is as burdened as any… there’s nothing we can do until the Convocation can meet, those of us who will be in assembly anyway,” she corrected with sorrow. “Tell me, instead… How long have you and Hythlod… Hyth,” she said, choosing Emet’s pet name for him, “been together,” she asked.
She’s trying to distract me, he thought to himself, but nonetheless felt eager to share happier times:
There was a spark between him and Hythlodaeus that quickly grew into a flame only shortly after Emet had taken his office. Having always admired Hythlodaeus’ beauty, he equally admired his skill and aptitude for the office given Emet… Emet had felt some sense of inadequacy after Hythlodaeus had admitted to turning down the position in favor of it being given to Emet.
Only two weeks into the position and Emet found himself smitten, more than he could imagine, as he and Hythlodaeus worked closely together on a multitude of projects - further illustrating all of the qualities Emet admired in him. By week three, Emet began to wonder if Hythlodaeus’ refusal of the position had been more of a decision for the purpose of uniting the two of them with common purposes. Regardless of the intent, Emet - though often wondering how much Hythlodaeus would have surpassed him - came to enjoy the work, alongside his friend.
Several months passed with them slowly gravitating into their own offices, which had been encouragement enough for Hythlodaeus to reach out to Emet for - what was presented as a scholarly meeting - which turned into their first date. Hythlodaeus, having always kept modest lodging, had decorated the common area of his small abode in countless kinds of flowers, most of them in hues of violet and indigo, complementing his own lavender hair. Emet had arrived slightly early, anticipating there would be others and that introductions would be made prior to beginning. To his surprise, however, when Hythlodaeus answered the door, it was only him.
He’d forgone his typical attire for a pair of linen pants and a loose shirt, which hung slightly off one shoulder - revealing his collarbone. Emet was immediately suspicious… questioning where everyone else was and why such attire had been chosen. Quickly Hythlodaeus filled him in, confessing that while he had some ‘work’ related matters to talk about, that he had called Emet for the sake of catching up - a personal meeting, Emet had surmised.
The two went back and forth before Emet finally conceded to entering the small house, greeted by the delicious smell of something being cooked on the stove… He’d been shocked that Hythlodaeus knew how to cook, though would be grateful once dinner’d been served. While the two had waited for dinner, Hythlodaeus was able to convince Emet to don more comfortable clothing and remove his mask, the two easing into conversation while Hythlodaeus occasionally tended to the meal.
Dinner had been delicious, some of Emet’s favorite foods included in the feast. To say either had been modest in their consumption of food and drink would have been an understatement. By the end of the meal, either had properly filled their bellies and were less than steadfast when they stood to clear the table.
“He’d have me a lush, if he had his way,” Emet included, earning a laugh from Venat.
Once things had been put away, Emet had addressed his intent to leave, which was quickly argued by Hythlodaeus who reminded him that Aetheryte travel - under the influence - was a bad idea. Both went back and forth with their argument before Hythlodaeus had won, Emet agreeing to remain where he was for the night.
The two took up a spot on either end of the bench which sat in front of a small hearth, the heat of the fire helping settle the small aches and pains their bodies had accumulated over the day. Conversation continued about work, new creations that had surprised either of them… plans to expand Amaurot to include housing for those who’d grown weary of more rugged living. Then the conversation started to gravitate towards more personal matters… Hythlodaeus inquired about the suspected relationship between Emet and Azem, which Emet expressed had come and gone with a seemingly natural order. Emet too had pondered whether Hythlodaeus and Azem had ever been acclimated to one another, which Hythlodaeus confirmed, but denounced any seriousness to it.
“One thing led to another…” Emet concluded, noting Venat’s almost school-girl grin.
“It sounds like you two are destined to be…” she said, lightly placing her hand on Emet’s own as it rested on his leg. “He’s going to be okay,” she tried to reassure him - though her tone lacked the surety that he needed. “You should sleep, I’ll wake you if anything changes,” she said.
Emet, though he wanted to remain vigilant, conceded to sleep, finding his body much too heavy to remain alert. Dreams of his first date with Hythlodaeus filled his mind as he finally fell into a sound sleep.
Sounds of light laughter filled his ears as he came to, a level of confusion setting in as there’d been little to laugh about over the last few months. As awareness forced sleep from his mind, he opened his eyes to see Hythlodaeus propped up, injured leg extended in front of him, chuckling at something Venat must have said.
“Hyth!” Emet nearly squealed, forcing himself into a standing position before rushing to his lover’s side. “You’re awake!”
Hythlodaeus dramatically looked himself over before replying: “so it appears,” before reaching out and pulling Emet into a firm hug - careful to avoid his injured shoulder.
They remained embraced for a while before Emet pulled back far enough to give Hythlodaeus a chaste kiss, tears streaming down his face in relief. “I thought I’d lost you,” he cried… had it been any other day, such emotions would have been lost to Emet, but - despite the embarrassment - he found that the last day had more than broken his stoic resolve, at last for the time being.
“Umm, Emet… we’re not alone,” Hythlodaeus cautioned, unused to displays of affection.
“Aye, she already knew about us,” Emet confirmed before renewing the kiss, ending it softly before sitting so that Hythlodaeus could rest his head on Emet’s good shoulder. “‘Twas foolish to think we’d be able to keep it from her,” Emet smiled.
Venat simply smiled at the two before issuing: “we’ll take a few more days for you two to recover before we venture forth… which gives ample time for you both to recount more of your time together. I really am a sap when it comes to romance,” she almost squealed.
Emet struggled to reinstate his stoic appeal, rolling his eyes as he began to realize the mistake of having indulged Venat’s curiosity once… “we’ll see,” came his smug reply… which the other two simply chuckled at.

EUROCORE, Where Strength and Safety Merge!
Tumblr media
Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP Sheets) have quickly climbed the popularity charts of the Construction and Architectural world. The city skylines bear larger-than-life witnesses that ACPs are here to rule the roost in the exterior cladding material world. But then the world of interior décor is no less a witness! A peek at building interiors also reveals a growing transition towards exquisite ACPs to adorn and beautify interiors at offices, malls, hotels, airports, and residences.
The reasons for ACPs racing to the top of these popularity charts are manifold. Their beauty and elegance strike a chord within hearts, and give the owners and occupants a sense of joy and pride! But of course, when it comes to building material, popularity is a multi-parameter decision, with safety, security, strength, durability, cost, aesthetics, etc. also playing important roles in determining what gets to the top of the charts – and ACPs score well on all these fronts too.
In this article, we put the spotlight on EUROCORE – Aluminium Core Composite Panel – a specialized ACP with an extra focus on strength and fire safety – both of which are of uncompromising importance in the construction world. ACPs are traditionally sandwich panels comprising two aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium core. However, EUROCORE Panels are a result of innovation in the core technology, which replaces combustible LDPE core with non-combustible Pure Aluminium Core, making them safer and stronger than the traditional ACPs.
When combined, the terminal trio – Fuel, Oxygen, and Heat can result in a fire disaster. EUROCORE Panels promote fire safety by eliminating one element i.e., ‘Fuel’ from this terminal trio. This is done by using a non-combustible Aluminium core instead of the combustible core used in ordinary ACPs. This simple yet brilliant move goes a long way in making the cladding fire-retardant thus restricting the upward spread of fire. Being non-combustible, they also prevent the formation of droplets, and this curtails the downward spread of fire too. Yet another advantage of the non-combustible core is that it does not produce toxic smoke which tends to suffocate people and add to the casualties. This is how EUROCORE Panels aid in containing fires, providing more time for evacuation and saving valuable lives and property in case of an unfortunate fire.
Having understood the safety angle of EUROCORE panels, let’s briefly explore its other benefits too.
Benefits of EUROCORE Panels
Fire Retardant, Safe, Secure
The fire-retardant benefit has already been dwelt on and it is indeed one of the greatest advantages of EUROCORE Panels. They also provide safety as it protects the building structure from weather conditions as well as from external dangers.
Cost-Efficient

Tumblr media
One of the most compelling reasons for the widespread adoption of stainless steel slides is their exceptional corrosion resistance. Unlike other metals that succumb to rust and degradation when exposed to moisture, chemicals, or harsh cleaning agents, stainless steel contains chromium, which forms a passive layer on its surface. This protective barrier actively prevents oxidation, making stainless steel slides indispensable in marine environments, food processing plants, medical facilities, and chemical laboratories. Their ability to maintain structural integrity and smooth operation in such aggressive conditions significantly extends the lifespan of equipment and reduces maintenance overheads.
Beyond corrosion resistance, the superior strength and hardness of stainless steel slides provide unparalleled load-bearing capabilities. This makes them perfectly suited for heavy-duty applications where significant weight needs to be moved or supported with precision. From industrial machinery and heavy-duty storage systems to specialized transportation equipment, stainless steel slides offer the structural integrity required to handle substantial loads without compromising on smooth, effortless motion. This robustness translates directly into enhanced operational safety and efficiency, making them a preferred choice for engineers seeking reliable performance.
The hygienic properties of stainless steel slides are another critical advantage, particularly in industries where cleanliness is paramount. The non-porous surface of stainless steel inhibits the growth of bacteria and is incredibly easy to clean and sterilize. This makes stainless steel slides the material of choice for equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterile environments, and any setting where contamination control is a top priority. Their ability to withstand frequent washdowns with harsh cleaning agents without degradation ensures that hygiene standards are consistently met, protecting both products and personnel.
Furthermore, the aesthetic appeal of stainless steel slides cannot be overlooked. “Quiet Luxury”? Sis, That’s Main Character Energy on Fleek
“If you’re still rocking logo vomit, you need to rethink your life choices.”
Hold up. We’re not here for the extra. Quiet luxury is nuanced power. It’s the outfit you slide into that speaks, “I own the room” without a single branded scream. Fashion Frenzy’s blog slays this concept. They don’t just show you looks; they hand you the keys to the VIP lounge of style.
Skip the Clout—Embrace the Craft
Let’s get this straight: Loud fashion? Trash. We want muted palettes. Subtle silhouettes. And fabric that feels like a hug from an angel.
They open with a Loro Piana maxi dress. $2,850. Yeah, that’s steep. But the weave? It’s like cashmere on steroids—light, fluid, and built to last a lifetime. The hem glides like you’re starring in a moody indie film. No logos. No distracting fuss. Just craftsmanship perfected to a T.
Accessorize Like a Low-Key Icon
They spotlight The Row’s Henri tote next. $3,515. That bag is structured heaven. Saddle-stitched seams. Full-grain leather so buttery it gives your palms a happy shiver. The shape? Architectural blur—imagine Bauhaus whispered to Balenciaga. It doesn’t scream “look at me”; it murmurs, “watch me work.”
Then they hit you with a reality check: “Don’t have designer dough? No sweat.”
Everlane, COS, Uniqlo. Technical deets: Everlane’s organic cotton tee boasts a 220 GSM weight that drapes just right. COS’s wool-blend trousers use a 50% recycled yarn content for resilience and earth-love. Uniqlo’s linen shirt is pre-washed so it won’t shrink into a midriff-baring disaster.
That’s hot girl info. Knowledge = power.
Tailoring: The Ultimate Glow-Up
Listen: you can’t just toss on any random blazer and call it a day. Tailor. Every. Single. Piece. A blazer with a nipped waist? Chefs kiss. Trousers with a 1cm hem break? Office-to-bar approved. Fashion Frenzy’s blunt: “Cheap slops, when tailored, look like Prada”—and they’re right. Trust.
Build Your Capsule with Zero Regrets
They break down the must-haves:
White button-down—200-thread-count Egyptian cotton, minimal sheen, button placket stitched with 12 threads per inch.
Navy trousers—wool-blend, 2% elastane for stretch, woven in a 2-ply twill for wrinkle resistance.
Camel trench—gabardine cotton, water-repellent finish, sleeve straps that cinch just so.
Cashmere sweater—19-micron fibers, 2-ply knit, washable at 30°C.
Loafers or ankle boots—Italian calf leather, Blake stitch construction, leather linings that ballon-map your arch.
Structured leather bag—edge-painted seams, vegetable-tanned hide, hardware that patinas like a vintage heirloom.
Short or long? Mix it up. Hot girl summer, but make it year-round.
Attitude Over Everything
Fashion Frenzy nails the mindset like a boss: Buy less. Love more. Choose quality over chaos.
This isn’t about flexing tags. It’s about that “I wake up flawless” vibe without even looking. It’s that silent roar—you know you’re dripping status, and everyone else can juggle their own insecurity.
Bottom Line—Tap In, Queen
This post is the cheat code to quiet luxury without feeling like a broke imposter. It’s concise, raw, and drenched in that Tumblr-worthy sass. If you want to level up from “girl next door” to “I run this town” energy, get on this bandwagon:
