I love that Kuzco and Malina are able to be best friends AND lovers without it feeling weird, or like they gave up their old dynamic for a new one.

It's just so casual for them. It probably helps that Kuzco was never shy about his feelings since EP 1 while staying in his role as her friend. Malina just ignores or laughs at it and keeps the friendship going. I like that Malina doesn't interact with him any differently despite knowing that he's down bad in love with her, because she genuinely enjoys his company regardless.

And yet their romance doesn't feel the exact same as their friendship either? Idk. I guess we don't get that much time of them doing really coupleish things. But they're a very married my best friend type of ship. They have that balance.

At the end when they go on their little date, despite the short amount of screentime, it's such a rewarding moment. Just sitting and watching the sunset is not the most coupleish date to be had but it's perfect for them. Nothing too crazy. Kuzco got the girl but never lost his friend. Just being in eachothers presence is both friendship and romance to them. Oh how I wish we got a continuation to see the 2 interacting as emperor and empress, and the development of Malina coming to accept that role in their relationship story. 🥺🩷

Honesyly though one of the biggest reasons why I love Francesca & Diego so much is is that they can be professional and work together despite any drama that's happening. Take for instance their trip to Madrid, during that time Francesca discovered that Diego was playing Vilu and yet she didn't let it ruin their performance. Or maybe an even better example of when they were dating, when after Violetta discovered them and they had to perform a duet together during the show and we're fighting because of the music producer, they still went up and performed and didn't cause any drama. It just shows that they are very professional and can keep private and work related things seperate. Which is kind of the opposite of many other couples (especially Vilu & Léon). And it's also one of the reasons why I have a headcanon that they work together at Art Rebel after they graduated. Honestly, such an underated power couple. I just love that they don't have too much drama going on, and if they have they always keep it private!

Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland for the characters ask

Favorite thing about them: What a colorful and funny villainess she is, despite her small amount of page or screen time.

Least favorite thing about them: Well, obviously, she's mean, bloodthirsty, and as Disney's Alice says, a "bad-tempered old tyrant."

Three things I have in common with them:

*I have a temper, though I'm better at controlling it than she is.

*I'm heavyset, as she's often portrayed.

*I like to bake, though I prefer making cookies to tarts.

Three things I don't have in common with them:

*I'm not a queen.

*I don't order beheadings.

*I haven't played croquet in many years.

Random headcanon: She really does put pepper in her tarts. Not as much as the Duchess's Cook would, but spiced cherry tarts – as spicy as her personality – are her specialty.

Unpopular opinion: I wish more adaptations would remember that she's a separate character from the Red Queen in Through the Looking-Glass. The Tim Burton movies and the '90s TV series Adventures in Wonderland both combine them into one character, and even Disney's animated Queen of Hearts speaks many of the Red Queen's lines from the second book. But they have nothing in common except that they're both queens associated with the color red, and both bossy and fairly unpleasant. The Queen of Hearts is a playing card while the Red Queen is a chess piece, and the Queen of Hearts is a raging, tyrannical blowhard who wants to behead everyone who annoys her, while the Red Queen is like a strict, fussy governess, always telling Alice what to do and how to behave. Still, I don't mind the fact that Disney's animated version gives her so many of the Red Queen's lines, because it makes her a better, more well-rounded villain for the screen: one who can turn her temper off and play the role of a proper, graceful lady when it suits her, instead of just shouting angry commands all the time.

happy 10th anniversary to girl meets world!!!

the show has its issues, im well aware, but it certainly had a big impact on my life.

it was the first time i ever found a sizable fandom for any live action disney channel content, which was a welcome change to all the negativity it faced from the classic disney fandom. i often say it was the best and worst fandom i was ever in. best given what i just said, simply for its existence especially at that time, and the edits, memes, etc were great and were in high supply, but worst given episodes leaking and spoilers being abound more than i was used to in other fandoms and crazy ship wars, but thankfully i was never involved firsthand in the latter.

i got to go to 12 live tapings, including for world meets girl which involved the live audience, all during my first full year living in california, so having a show i loved a ton on the air while simultaneously engaging with its fandom and experiencing it in real life was a big part of why that was one of the happiest years of my life. (but also yknow...liv and maddie)

ofc, it was also my introduction to my beloved sabrina, who has blown up so much and so fast its still hard to believe. very excited to see her again later this year!! it also gave me arguably my biggest otp of all time, rilaya. i will forever be grateful for this show.
