Seasons with Shouto (❀´ ˘ `❀) *ੈ✩‧₊˚
Tumblr media
₊˚⊹♡
Springs with Shouto are sweet, like the tender caress of his hands. Greeting him at the train station with a soft peck on his cheek and walking to school under a canopy of fresh, pink flowers. The sakura trees sway in the wind while you and him walk hand in hand, the soft yet chilly breeze a remnant of winter. Springs with Shouto include walking through lush tulip fields with every color, picnic dates at the local park, and spending the entire Sunday at Disney Land. Plucking cherry blossom petals from each other’s hair and taking selfies together with Mount Fuji in the distance. A lingering kiss pressed to the back of your hand, voluntarily tying your shoelace, holding your shopping bags.
Springs with Shouto are sweet, just like him.
₊˚⊹♡
Summers with Shouto are sparkly, like bold and beautiful fireworks at the summer festivals. Wearing matching yukatas and dancing with sparklers in each hand. Late-night cramming for tomorrow’s exam–a cool hand resting on your forehead and the other holding a box of strawberry milk. Summers with Shouto include ice cream dates (he’s memorized your order), making silly paintings afterschool underneath the oak tree on campus, and picking strawberries for both of you to eat back at the dorms. Making quick midnight runs to the conbini across the street to buy the last of the cold soba and pudding and peppering his face with kisses. Watching his face erupt into a big, beautiful smile, a smile that is only reserved for you (you don’t know that, though).
Summers with Shouto are sparkly, just like his smile.
₊˚⊹♡
Autumns with Shouto are adorable, like the orange cat that you saw at the park. Wrapping his warm, maroon scarf around your neck gently, scolding you for not bringing one yourself (he’s very happy that you like it and loves that you are wearing it. Besides, he can never stay mad at his angel forever). Holding hands while walking through the colorful maple trees, all adorned in red, orange, and yellow. Baking cookies and teaching him how to make cinnamon rolls while your friends and classmates take pictures of the two of you “hogging” the kitchen. Autumns with Shouto include dressing up as vampires for the Halloween party and leaving a bold, red kiss mark on his cheek with your scarlet lipstick (he likes it, despite all of the teasing). Movie dates in your dorm room, his head tucked in the crook of your neck, his eyes wandering to your focused face as you watch the movie (you catch him staring and think that he is the cutest).
Autumns with Shouto are adorable, just like him.
₊˚⊹♡
Winters with Shouto are warm, like the heat of the fireplace in your home. Not wanting to leave Shouto alone in the dorms, you invited him to come home with you. Freshly made roasted turkey is on the dining table, the smell of kona coffee cake in the oven drifting in the air. Your family is welcoming and jolly: they cleaned the house (a miracle), your siblings didn’t bicker, and most of all, they welcomed Shouto with big smiles and open arms. The living room looks cozy due to the Christmas lights on the tree and the vibrant fire. Your home is cozy and feels like a home. Shouto supposes that this must be what a functional household’s home is like.
But where is his home? For Shouto, home isn’t the building, it isn’t where he grew up, it isn’t where he currently resides in. Home is where he feels love, comfort, joy, peace. Home for Shouto is where he feels warm. Home for Shouto is you.
Winters with Shouto are warm, and Shouto thinks that winters with you are warm, too.
And when you both are feeling extra cold, you’ll sneak upstairs to your childhood bedroom. The smell of nostalgia hits your nose as you turn on the fairy lights to add to the homey atmosphere. The both of you will tuck in close and look out the window, admiring the soft snow falling from the sky. At 00:00 am, he’ll press his lips on yours and quietly whisper:
“Merry Christmas, my love and home.”
₊˚⊹♡
A/N: Hello everyone (◍•ᴗ•◍) Guess who woke up and wanted to write tooth-rotting fluff (I almost bawled my eyes outwriting this <3) I hope you enjoyed this mini work of mine!
News about Strawberry Magic: the epilogue will come out maybe next week if I have the time between school and sports. I would also like to try and organize my tumblr once that is up, so please bear with me (..◜ᴗ◝..) As always, thank you so much for reading my works and I hope that you enjoy them all ^^

Hey Niu~ Do you have any smaller wonders you'd recommend visiting in Japan
Sure!
OSAKA
If you go to Osaka around the end of a month, there's a monthly temple flea market in the Shitennoji temple yard. It's arranged on 21st and 22nd of each month, and regular people are selling there their old stuff, as well as booths selling vintage kimonos, yukatas, haoris etc., ceramics, decorations, lots of antique items, statues etc. Take a subway to Tennoji station, the temple is next it. Read more here!
In Osaka, near Tenma JR railwaystation, is a takoyaki shop owned by an 86 year old lady called Hiroko. She's been making takoyakis for 60 years in that shop. You might have seen this image set of Hiroko giving a piece of her mind about people complaining that her food is too yellow (if not, see it - it's hilarious!) Her shop is called たこ焼き 寛子(ひろこ), Takoyaki Hiroko (Hiroko). The address is 5 Chome-6-3 Tenjinbashi, Kita Ward, Osaka, 530-0041, Japan. If you use subway, get off at Ogimatchi station to get to her store.
If you love toys and anime merch, there are two good spots for these in Osaka; one is the famous Den Den Town and other one is Kiddy Land in Umeda.
You can get to Den Den Town the easiest from Nipponbashi metro station. Just head towards south. You can also walk from Namba to Den Den Town as it's just right the next corner.
Kiddy Land is a bit harder to locate in the gigantic Hankyuu department store (which is like multiple building spreading across the whole Umeda) but you can get there the best from Umeda station. Kiddy Land has lots of toy stores, like Miffy, San-X, and a mixed store of everything cute, and also a Lego store. If you go out from the building from the door next to the Lego store, you can walk a few ten meters to a big Loft-store. It also has some merch, typically San-X and Sanrio and Disney stuff, but on the top floor of the same building there's an anime store. They sell lots of art books, replica swords and also special collectible statues like Japanese deities.
Special mentioning goes to the Namba Daiso (Namba Daiso Nansan-dori). It has 5 floors, all stuff with 100 yens. It's very near Namba metro station, easy to find! If you want to get super fancy and you've got a big budget, the Takashimaya department store is near this Daiso. You can find all kind of food items there, some with ridiculous prices. There's also Daimaru department store in Namba in close proximity - they sell fresh made taiyaki cakes in the bottom floor's food section.
KYOTO
Near Kyoto, you can find a small town of Arashiyama. It is the most well-known for its ancient wooden bridge and bamboo forests. People go just walk around into the bamboo forest. Many movies and TV series has been filmed in that forest. There's a direct train service to Arashiyama from Kyoto. Arashiyama is especially gorgeous at the end of November when the fall has arrived to Kansai area. It's apparently also super pretty during cherry flower season in spring. There are lots of temples in a small area, too, if you want to explore them.
Tumblr media
(Here's the famous bridge).
In Kyoto, there's a design shop of SOU SOU. Now, SOU SOU makes and sells handmade tabi shoes, kimonos, yukatas, string bags, dishware, and wonderful print tabi socks but they also have their own, traditional Japanese café at their Kyoto store called Sou Sou Zaifu. You can get only coffee and matcha tea here - the order is hand made in order in front of you. It's very quiet and idyllic, intimate place. I accidentally went here to find shelter from a rain and it was so lovely. Even the shop itself is worth the visit, if you're interested in fashion and design! Read more here.
Tumblr media
(Sou Sou Zaifu cafe. It seems the same guy is still working here. He was very friendly!)
TOKYO
If you travel in Tokyo, about 45 minutes by train from Tokyo is the city of Saitama. Saitama has a Sayama Hills at Tokorozama, which is also known as The Totoro Forest. Hayao Miyazaki has taken inspiration to Totoro from Sayama Hills. It was hard to find any information of this place in English (and even in Japanese!) in the past, but nowadays there's information in English. Read more here (with a Japanese map)

My headcanons for Transfem Leo:
— When she started using eyeliner everyone thought that Karai had taught her, but she actually taught herself. She has an excellent pulse so the eyeliner always looks divine on her ✨️.
— April taught her to paint nails.
— She is curious about wearing a corset. If she could be human for a day she would try one on.
— She loves to wear sweaters and baggy clothes, it's the only human clothes that fit her, but she dreams of being able to wear tighter clothes.
— When she was a child she liked Lilo & Stitch a lot, her brothers also liked it but she more. She admired Nani very much.
— Her favorite Disney princess is Tiana.
— She was always interested in ballet, but she was afraid that her brothers would make fun of it, besides, sensei was already teaching them to be ninjas, she had no time for ballet (that and according to what she saw on TV, she couldn't wear those cute shoes because his feet were very big).
— She often wonders if she is really pretty. She knows that she could never fit the human standard of beauty, but she would like to look cute even for a turtle.
— When she was 7 years old she helped her father make yukatas for her and her brothers for their birthday. At the age of 20 she and her girlfriend made kimonos for their birthday, three montsuki (male kimonos) for her brothers and a Furi-sode (female kimono) for herself.
— She likes gossip and comic and dramatic telenovels.
— She continued to have tea parties with Chloe every Friday and Saturday, and the little girl was the first to find out that she was a trans girl. She went from Mr. Imaginary Turtle to Miss Turtle very quickly.
— One day, instead of having tea, Chloe made her play on the catwalk and named her Miss Universe, according to the blonde that was an official title, she was the most beautiful woman in the world. She was having a bad day so that cheered her up a lot.
— She and Karai made her brothers and April swear that they would never mention how they met, much less in front of Shinigami. Mikey accidentally told Shini, but she chose to ignore it, made a deal with Mikey and pretended that she still didn't know.
— She and Donnie cried when Inside Out was cancelled, they were super fans of the series. Then Donnie tried to hack Netflix and they had to stop him.
— Secretly watch kdramas with April.
— When they were children Mikey for some reason began to call her Sleeping Beauty, she secretly liked that nickname. Years later they remembered that and Mikey said that he started calling her that because she slept just like Aurora when she fell under the sleeping spell.
— She watches a lot of makeup tutorials even though she knows she's not going to use 80% of the products they show, she just likes them.
— When the Barbie movie came out, she wanted to wear each and every one of the clothes changes that Margot Robbie had. This was her favorite:
Tumblr media
— After defeating the Shredder, she and Raph improved their relationship, they started talking and they didn't argue so much anymore. Obviously they kept fighting, siblings do that, but at least it wasn't as serious as before. Now she and Raph confided in each other, Raph was the second after Chleo to find out that she was trans, and Leo was the first to find out that he and Mona were going to have babies.
— She and her girlfriend often question whether they should adopt a child, but the conversation always ends with them not being ready. One day they found a stray dog and they adopted it, it was not what they had in mind but they are happy.
—Taylor Swift fan.
— "Not because I like Monster High does it mean that I'm lesbian... Yes, I'm lesbian, but not because I like Monster High."
— "My favorite MH is Abby–"
"That's such a fucking basic bitch answer"
"Oh! Do you want an original answer?!!"
"ª–"
"Marisol Coxi, Abby's cousin who was featured in the 'Monster Exchange' line! THAT'S MY FAVORITE!!"
Tumblr media
— Gwen and Pavitr are her favorite characters from Spiderverse.
— Had a time when she was obsessed with wigs, and she managed to have many of them, nowadays she still keeps them but only uses them occasionally.
— She dressed up as Elizabeth Liones for Halloween.
— Once in a while combs Chloe's hair.
— She is ashamed of her emo phase, especially now that she is a diva.
— When she came out of the closet and she said that she would change her name Mikey bombarded her with thousands of options, some names were good, others not so much. She ended up keeping one, but Mikey was disappointed, telling her that he hoped she would choose Artemis.

In the Sagiverse "Yuujin sneaks Susato to England as a newborn" AU, how would you rate everyone's babysitting skills?
Sagiverse is much much more than just that one specific plot point (virtually all of my non-canonical tag ramblings are from Sagiverse, as is most of Scout's artwork and tbh, all of our writing); but I actually have an answer to this ready, so LET'S GO.
Klint: 0/10, immediately took her to court, threw knives at witnesses, and had his babysitting privileges revoked within three hours. Was actually reasonably attentive during those three hours despite his waning grasp on reality, because he did sort of raise Barok almost entirely by himself. Keeping Susato entertained while not disrupting court proceedings was enough multitasking that it kept him grounded. Yuujin would have appreciated that if it was Someone Else's Baby, but it was his, so he did not appreciate it.
Barok: 7/10, but also 2/10. Mostly just handed her directly off to Klint for reasons of "kept him pretty calm and not hallucinating if Barok had to leave the room", but was pretty good with her himself. Baby Barok is pretty much a disney princess when it comes to animals and kids, so once he figured out the whole "babies need to eat and sleep This Much", he did a pretty good job. But 2/10 just because he'd give her to Klint whenever they were together and just because Yuujin never found out doesn't mean it was a Good Idea.
Genshin: 4/10. One would assume he'd score higher because you know, he has a kid (that he abandoned but whatever). One would be wrong, because between having a career and several apprentices, I genuinely don't see him actually having that much to do with raising Kazuma? He was around, sure, but I'm pretty sure it mostly got left to Izumi, who was... well, she's an Ayasato, and doesn't have the greatest tether to the living world just in general. Genshin could do it, sure, he understands how to change a Victorian diaper. But he wouldn't be happy to do it if Yuujin needed him to watch her for a couple hours, and he already disapproves of most of Yuujin's choices so he's not going to go above and beyond for her.
Jigoku: 7/10. Also disapproves a little bit of Yuujin's split-second decision to take his newborn daughter to Britain by hiding her in his yukata, but unlike Genshin understands split-second bad decisions and is going to Do His Best. (This makes sending Kazuma, Yuujin's adopted son, to his death way angstier. It's pretty clear Susato's the favourite child as far as Jigoku's concerned.) He doesn't know how exactly to do his best, so Susato learns a lot of jiu jitsu, but he's doing his best anyway.
Stronghart: 1/10. It only happened once, but it did happen. Jigoku was supposed to watch her, then he got pulled into some emergency, Stronghart was Jigoku's closest available friend (they might have been lovers at that point, haven't nailed the when of that yet), Stronghart had to deal with a four-year-old Susato for like three hours. He did feed her. She played with his birds and only almost lost an eye once. Yuujin never found out, which was good, because if he had he would've blown a gasket.
Beatrice: 9/10. Our good ol' Lord Chief Justice has raised three children, partly on their own, and understands Yuujin better than he thinks they do. They've probably snuck Nia and Rhodri into court on multiple occasions. Susato has teething toys, snacks, books suitable for her age, and colouring supplies now. She has signed six court documents and listened to several cases. She sees her dad on his lunch break between surgeries. Susato loves getting babysat by Lord Gingerson, she's getting all the good snacks and occasional lessons in Welsh. She also gets to watch trials but this time she's allowed to be there without her dad freaking out.
Courtney: 6/10. I feel like Yuujin and Courtney have babysat for each other on numerous occasions. This is what happens when you're both single parents to small children at St Synner's. She ranks a 6 because while she's kind to children, she's also very stern, and I feel like Susato wouldn't like her very much. Susato and Maria definitely play corpse / autopsy together, and they have a lot of fun and are probably pretty close friends, but that doesn't mean Susato really wants Courtney there. (That actually makes me wonder if they would have exchanged letters growing up? ...Aw, now I have DGS3 ideas.)
Fionn / Sholmes: 10/10. Full disclosure I forgot him not because I don't like him but because Fionn is just. Susato's other parent?? He's technically her stepdad but as far as she's concerned that's her dad too. Fionn is 1) not human and 2) over a hundred years old. Susato is not the first child he's been handed and told to take care of. She's the first that's his, yes, but Fionn lived with his Aunt Chris for a century, he's wrangled his fair share of cousins and had circumstances been slightly different, that would have included Kazuma. Fionn does an amazing job with Susato and she loves him dearly. (That plus he'll fling her into a pile of pillows with his tail and kids love that.)
Moriarty (bonus): 9/10 and -5/10. Yes, at once. On one hand, he's great with kids and awesome at remembering to feed her. On the other, Yuujin why are you letting your boyfriend's dead ex-boyfriend babysit your daughter. I know, it's because you have no idea he's watching her while you're out at the store for twenty minutes and you know she'll be safe for that long because she was sleeping when you went out. Mori's still doing his best as the secret stepdad, and also let's be real, he's secretly competing with Klint to see who can be the better babysitter. (Klint does not know this is happening. He's still in denial.)

[tl;dr: this is an ask-meme format. Send a character and number(s)]
I ran across an August Outfit challenge and was intrigued but 1) I'm not waiting until August and 2) I don't dig any of the prompt lists so I slapped my own together. It's uh... probably 50% incomprehensible to people that aren't me, but the main take-away is that the last item is sending in a photo of a clothing item/outfit. I'll talk more about the prompts under the cut for those curious.
These are previews of the character line-up that I was working on for a New Years Resolution a few years ago; I like how they came out, but I never finished them. I'm hoping to use an outfit challenge to practice drawing on them & from that maybe relearning my style enough to complete the set. Especially Rim B; I have no idea why that's the only sheet I did 7/8 for. These are the first eight characters from Tiers 1-3 (minus Rim B). They were all drawn painstakingly height accurate so I can use them for comparative line-ups.
I find askbox memes really inspiring when I draw, so that's why I'm running the challenge like this for now. In the long term, the idea is to complete all 28 prompts for the bases I have right now (at least). Wish me luck. u-u
(Description of the Challenge items below. If you want to use the Challenge image yourself make sure to include the label at the bottom if you trim it; if you want to request alternate prompts I'm open to that.)
1-12 & 21-28 are obvious enough, I think; for 28 I'll default to Hello Project idol costumes if left to my own devices. 27 refers to a specific brand; you can pick one or leave it open ended. If you have questions about those numbers, go ahead and ask.
13-16. Shuffle Unit, Shuffle Unit Swap, Crossover Unit, Encore Shirts - this refers to their official idol units in the meta; read more about the project here. "Swap" means I draw them in a different Unit. "Crossover" means I put them in a sub-unit with a new theme that combines their current unit & a second unit. "Encore Shirt" relates to this; stylized outfits for an Encore performance.
17. Color Team - More idol costumes, but this time they were sorted into teams based on their image color (the color their name is written in above). I haven't posted the completed project yet, but each team has a different outfit theme.
18. Official Goods Color - This one is more hyper-specific than usual; it might only make sense to me but basically going to be a set of matching costumes with a lot of bows in their image color. Or rather the shade of their image color used for "official goods" in the meta; it's a pointless degree of realism that amuses me (penlights can't be black, t-shirts can't be printed in every hexcode etc).
19 & 20. Seasonal Vacation & Seasonal Vacation Swap - Tl;dr I sorted all 64 OCs into groups of 4 for seasonal vacation themed illustrations; each vacation has a costume theme that goes with it so Disney Bounding outfits for Disney World, yukata for the Onsen trip etc. It's basically a costume prompt that varies based on which character it's attached to. See: the chart below.
(ex: Haoniyao would get a Disneybound costume for 19, and anything BUT a Disneybound costume for 20)

Thank you for reading. If you got this far, know that you're the best. u-u

June 18- Kyoto International Manga Museum and Kimono Rental in Gion Area
Today was really fun! We went to the Kyoto International Manga Museum which was smaller than I expected. The museum itself is structured with a gift shop in the entry, then an area showing different country’s translations of manga, different picture frames of one caricature but drawn in the style of different manga artists, shelves, and a second-floor exhibit. The second-floor exhibit includes manga throughout the years, and I was excited to find different mangas from my childhood. For example, in the 90s, there was the Fruits Basket series and in the most recent years, there was Attack on Titan. After going though the museum, there was a show performed and the host was really lively, keeping the experience very interactive. It was interesting to see how manga has evolved over time, especially since WW2. Afterwards, Casey, Eliza, Aulora, Julie, Sam, and I, went to this great coffee shop that was European and American themed. Then, we walked to an indoor shopping strip where I had arguably the best sushi of the trip, then went thrifting. Realizing we were running late, we boarded the closest bus and headed over the Gion area. We were able to choose our own yukata or kimonos, hair styles, hair pieces, and shoes, and had it all put on by the workers there. I never got to do the Bippity Boppity Botique in Disney, but I imagined the experience would be very similar. The workers took pictures of us to put on their website, and I really enjoyed walking around the area and taking pictures. Sam, Julie, and I ended the night with some really yummy okonomiyaki.
Academic Reflection
The way Norris examined the origins and development of manga across history struck a very deep chord with me. As I browsed around the museum's exhibits, which featured carefully picked manga publications from various eras, this knowledge proved to be priceless. I was astounded to have the chance to see directly how narrative topics, artistic techniques, and society reflections changed over time. It was as if the museum brought Norris's words to life, allowing me to watch the history of manga develop in front of my very eyes.
The interactive spirit that Norris emphasizes in her book is clearly embodied by the Kyoto International Manga Museum. My grasp of the inventive process involved in producing manga was improved by the museum's emphasis on visitor participation through workshops, art demonstrations, and the Manga Lab. I had the opportunity to see manga artists at work, talk shop with other fans, and even try out some of my own creative ideas. The theoretical ideas I discovered in Norris' book were given new life by this practical experience, which also served as a reminder that manga is an art form that thrives on participation.

Summer in Japan is celebrated. There are many summer festivals throughout Japan where people go to see parades, listen to music, eat food, and relax with their friends. Many woman dress in Yukatas, Japanese traditional summer dress. Even Disney likes to celebrate summer. Usually they dress their characters up in Yukatas, but this year they've released a line for everyone to wear. If you love Disney, and want to try traditional Japan clothing contact us at japancraze.com where we can show you the different styles and find one that's right for you. #japancraze #Japan #summer #Disney #yukata #minnie #donald #daisy #tokyodisneyland #日本 #夏 #浴衣 #ディズニー https://www.instagram.com/p/CROpTsagZop/?utm_medium=tumblr

Another picture I tried to not dwell too long on. The outfits are based off some adorable plushies I bought at Tokyo Disneyland. I can never pull off the all-over-with-one-color-on-multiply type shading, but yeah, was trying to speed things up because I have other things i’m supposed to be doing. =|

On this page I drew Auri in the yukata overalls I designed for her and added some background with gouache. Below are some disney and ghibli cat studies I did of frames from the movies. I wanted to see how they stylized cats to try to come up with my style. Earlier I did another cat study of real cats that I will post later on.
