𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙛! 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧!
“Zed, I’m at the gate.” You say through the phone, shivering in the cool night air as you wait for Zed at the gate between Zombie Town and Seabrook. You’ve been sneaking out of the house pretty frequently lately to spend some time with your drop dead gorgeous boyfriend, Zed.
“I’m walking down the street now, I see ya.” He answers through the cell, but he’s hung up before you can answer. You get worried for a moment, but the anxiety disappears the moment you see him from across the gate. Zed jogs up, pushing open the gate just wide enough for you the slip through.
He instantly pulls you into an embrace, arms wrapping around your shoulders. You sigh into his warm hold, now shielding you from the chilly wind. “I missed you.” You mumble into his firm chest, arms wrapping around his torso. “You saw me today.” He chuckles, and you pull away just enough to peer up at him. “You know what I mean.”
“What’re you wearing, aren’t you cold.” He asks, eyeing your cheer uniform that adorns your body oh so well. “Practice ran late, I didn’t have time to change.” You answer. “Don’t worry, I’ll warm ya up.” He smirks.
You two fall into step, hands interlinked with one another’s. Your free hand grips his bicep of the hand you hold as he leads you through the dimly lit street. He leads you through many dark alleyways til he’s satisfied you’re both hidden from any prying eyes if the night.
“Guards have cracked down here lately, can’t go to the usual spots this time around.” He whispers, slowly backing you into a wall. “S’okay, as long as I’m with you.” You reply, peering up at him through your lashes. Zed’s hands find home at your waist, pulling you close. “I missed you too, you know?” He whispers, head dipping down to yours.
You sigh, hands splaying over his broad chest. “I wish we didn’t have to do this.” You admit, shivering as a gust of wind whistles through the alley. Zed’s shoulders slouch slightly in defeat, “I know, I wish things could be different—that I could be different.” He says, and you’re quick to shake your head.
“What, no. Zed, I don’t want you to be different. You shouldn’t have to change yourself for me. I…” 𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘵. “I love you just the way you are.” Though you and Zed have been secretly rendezvousing together for more or less three months, neither of you had said the L word.
Zed is taken aback, and you drop your head to avoid his gaze. He quickly composed his giddiness, a hand moving to cup your jaw. “Oh, Y/N/N.” He starts, but you still can’t muster up to the courage to look up at him. “Let me see those eyes.” He whispers, and you finally crane your neck up. “I love you, God I’m so in love with you. And—and I know I can’t give you all that a human can but—“
“You give me enough, Zed. You’re all that I need.” You stop him, and his eyes flicker from your eyes to your lips.
“Zed,” You whisper bashfully, and he hums in question. “please, kiss me.” You beg, and he’s more than happy to oblige, dipping his head to meet yours, lips enveloping your own.
The kiss is searing hot and burning with passion. Your hands hold his face to yours, his moving to grip your waist once more. Hands tangle anywhere and everywhere, neither of you can get enough of the other. You moan into his mouth as he cages you against the wall.
He pulls his lips from yours to trail wet kisses down the column of your throat, his hands sliding up and under the front of your shirt to grope your tits. You can feel him smirk against your kiss ridden skin. “No bra?” He quips.
“Zed, please.” You beg breathlessly, and he kisses up to your ear, “What is it, baby? Use your words.” He whispers. “Need you.” You say, hands sliding to the waistband of his pants. “Yeah? I know what you need”.
Zed takes his hands to your shoulders, turning you around so your face is pressed up against the alley wall. Your hands flattening against the brick on either side of you. Zed pulls your hips out to bend you over, and you moan at his man handling.
You hear him undo his belt before he flips your cheer skirt up over your ass. Your pink panties now the only thing standing in his way. You turn your head, eyes dropping to his painfully hard cock, standing straight up and ready to wreck you.
“Wanna ruin you.” Zed mumbles, a hand moving your panties to the side, fingers dipping through your folds. You let out a moan as he swiped through your slick. “All this and I haven’t even touched you yet?” He teases, hand now lining up his cock with your dripping cunt.
“Please, Zed.” You moan, and he slowly sinks into your soaking heat. “Fuckkk.” Zed groans out, one hand gripping your hip for dear life, the other flattened against the wall by your head for support. He grips your hip tighter, if even possible, and begins to thrust in and out of you at an agonizing pace.
“Oh, fuck.” You moan, Zed’s cock brushing that sweet spot with every thrust. You place your hand on top of his on the wall, unknowingly and accidentally brushing his z-band. It malfunctions, and his veins grow dark. But before Zed can react, his darker side is already taking over, hungry for more. His pace quickens, and he pounds into you harder.
“Fuck, Zed, fuck me.” You moan, hips slapping into his own with each harsh thrust of his hips. “Tell me how good I make you feel.” He demands, still relentlessly pounding into your cunt. “So good, you fuck me so good, Zed.” You praise him, climax straying to build up.
“Yeah? I fuck you better than a human could, huh?” He growls, you let out a moan in response, but it’s not enough. Zed slaps a hand down on your ass, “Tell me.” He orders. “Fuck, yes. You fuck me so much better than anyone else could Zed.”
“Yeah, fuckkk.” He groans, head lulling back as his hood snap into your own. Your hand grips his tighter, “Zed, m’close.” You moan, fingers brushing his z-band and returning it to normal. His pace stutters for a moment before he picks it back up. “Fuck, me too.” He moans, hand spanking your ass once more.
He pulls his hand from the wall, dipping it down to circle your clit, your orgasm washing over you as he continues to assault your abused cunt. He’s making you ride out your high as he chases his own, and you can barely take it. Your knees buckle and your head drops. “Zed,” You moan, but before you can beg anymore his hips stutter and he’s pulling out, pumping his cock a few times before his white ropes shoot across your ass.
You both take a moment to compose yourselves and your breath. Zed grips your waist, turning you around to face him, “Fuck, I love you.”

Stupid Z-band
Zed Necrodopolis X fem reader
Warnings: Smut, feral zed, breeding kink (basically), no condom, this is just filth and me living out my feral zed moment.
Summary: Zed keeps tampering with his z-band in order to win the football games so him and the rest of the zombies can be accepted into Seabrook. His z-band malfunctions unexpectedly after he wins yet another game, but this time, it isn't a frenzy for human brains, it's a frenzy for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seabrook High School erupted in cheers as Zed, once again, won another football game. He had tampered with his z-band to do so, but he didn't think it was a big deal— even though his arm felt like it was going to burn off any moment. You were cheering proudly along the rest of the cheerleaders— for Zed.
  Bucky shot you dirty looks, as a way to tell you not to cheer for zed— but as always, you dismissed them. Zed was your boyfriend after all... although, no one else in Seabrook High knew that. It was still too dangerous to out your relationship, since most humans still hadn't really came to terms with accepting Zombies.
  You wanted to run up and kiss Zed, but ultimately knew that wasn't the best thing to do in front of all of Seabrook. As the minutes passed by and it became later, more people left the football field. The cheerleaders were the only people left on the field, putting your stuff in your duffle bag you watched as the rest of the cheer team eventually scattered off, leaving you alone.
  Meanwhile, Zed was in the locker rooms. He threw his helmet on the bench as he panted, his face and jersey were covered in dirt and sweat, as well as his green hair, which was messily stuck to his forehead, his pale skin sticky and hot.
  Zed wanted nothing more than to take off the clad football jersey, until his wrist started burning and his Z-band started beeping red, the bold words 'OFFLINE' flashed across the small screen of the band.
  Zeds veins immediately darkened and trailed up his arms, all the way to his face. He grew paler, and the veins in his face grew darker. His fists clenched in an effort to control himself as he started to pant, though a light growl erupted from his zombie and he quickly realized this was more than a frenzy.
  He felt hot and.... aroused...
  Zeds 'game' pants felt unbelievably tight and restricted, he needed you. So, he rushed out of the locker rooms and went to the last place he saw you, the football field. Which, was completely empty now... not like his zombie cared in the moment, he would take you in front all of Seabrook in this state.
  You were bent over slightly, zipping up your cheer bag when you heard feet to grass movement and a noise between a growl and a pant. You turned around and were immediately met with Zed, you smiled before you noticed the state he was in "Zed! I'm so proud- hey, are you okay?" You asked, your face twisting with worry and concern. Zed would've melted from how sweet you sounded, but right now he couldn't control this frenzy.
  When you were in his reach, he grabbed you, yanking you with him to the middle of the football field. You let out a yelp in surprise "Zed, what are you doing?" You gasped, your voice was small and meek, and for some reason that turned on his zombie more. He said nothing, he couldn't say anything but let out a series of strained growls as his chest heaved up and down from panting; it was as if he was in heat and your eyes widened when you notice the strain in his pants.
  One of his hands went to the back of your neck, wrapping his hands around your hair, in an attempt to expose your neck to him. When he realized that wasn't enough, he yanked your head back with the hand wrapped in your hair, not hard enough to hurt you but enough to make you squeak out a moan.
  Zed hurried his face into your neck, sucking and kissing at every spot he could, smelling your sweat vanilla perfume which caused the veins in his hands and face to grow darker. He nipped at your neck, not enough to actually bite you, but enough to mark you. Your hands gripped onto his chest as a way to steady yourself, and your touch set him off, he growled as he threw you on the grass of the football field, not wasting a second before he climbed on top of you.
  You weren't scared, you and Zed had done this many times but not when he was like this. He was feral and didn't give you a moment to breathe, but when he ripped your cheer top in half— exposing your bare chest, you finally remembered where you both were "wait, Zed what if we get-" You gasped, but were quickly cut off when he kissed and nipped at your boobs, forcing your thighs open with one hand and sitting him self in between them.
  You were panting now, looking at your zombie boyfriend as your hands went to touch him, but again, his zombie growled as you touched him, bringing him back to the main thing he needed you for. Zed loved you, and he was always so sweet during sex, he was almost never rough, but you couldn't help how soaked you were from this whole situation.
  Zed didn't even bother to take off your cheer skirt, he only ripped the center of it and your underwear in one clean tear, you gasped when you felt him lifting your skirt up so it bunched up on your hips, you were exposed to him and his face now rested in between your thighs. Everything happened so fast you barely had time to adjust to his mouth attaching to your clit. Your eyes rolled back and your hips jolted in surprise, you managed to rest on your elbows to look at him, his arms were tightly wrapped around your waist so that his hands rested on your stomach, you looked at his arms and moaned at the sight of his dark purple veins throbbing. Your eyes moved up to his face and before you could get a good look at his face he forced you back down with one of his hands that rested on your stomach.
  Zed ate you as if you were his last meal, his tongue circling your clit so effortlessly and his mouth slurping up your juices. The sounds were lewd and filthy, but it only seemed to turn his zombie on more. He ate you out as if it was for his pleasure, not staying long enough for you to cum. His zombie didn't know whether or not he wanted you like this or on all fours, and he growled impatiently as he finally decided to flip you. His zombie strength allowed him to flip you over with ease so that you were on all fours.
  You whined softly at the quick movement and turned back to look at him, your eyes widened once you realized his pale cock was now exposed, it seemed as if he was even bigger now that he 'zombied out'. He wasn't just bigger or paler, but the veins in his cock had grew darker as well and you moaned softly at the sight, but were quickly cut off when his hands grasped your hips and he forced your ass closer to him.
  Zed ran his cock back and forth between your folds, collecting your wetness just enough for him to slide into your pussy, but he didn't just go halfway in, he completely bottomed out and you let out a noise between a moan and a yelp as the tip of his cock reached the spot inside of you that made your toes curl.
  "Oh my god- Zed" You babbled out, head falling against the grass. He didn't allow you any time to adjust, but you were so soaked that the stretch didn't hurt. His zombie growled at your already fucked out tone, gripping your hips harshly as he set an unforgiving pace. The tip of his cock reached your sweet spot with every harsh thrust he gave you, you were so drunk on his cock that you didn't even care that you were in the middle of the football field.
  Zed was unable to say anything, only grunts and growls came from his lips while he panted and fucked you harshly. He couldn't stop, with each thrust he grew more animalistic and feral. His zombie wouldn't stop until he had you cumming on his cock and until he was spilling into you. The thought of him finally filling you up made his nails dig harder into your hips and his pace speed up.
  The side of your face was forced into the grass when he leaned over and pressed your head into it. Your mouth fell open as a series of moans fell past your lips. You cried out his name as he snapped his hips against yours, and you felt the coil in your lower stomach when the tip of his cock hit that place inside of you with each thrust. The hand that was on your head, which happened to be the one he had his z-band on, went to the side of you as he used his other hand to keep your hips in place.
  One of your hands gripped onto the arm he placed beside you, clawing at his arm for dear life as he fucked your brains out. Zed growled but didn't remove his arm from you, instead he fucked you even harder as he felt his release near. The need to cum inside of your pussy overwhelmed him and his zombie wasn't going to give out until he filled you up. He was so deep inside of you that you could've sworn you felt him in your stomach, and that thought alone made you cum. You cried out as your cum splashed against his cock, making him thrust even easier than before.
  Zed panted harder as his zombie kept him going, he wasn't tired by any means, but he needed to cum. So when you clenched around his cock from being so overstimulated he growled and finally spilled his cum deep inside you. You let out a gasp and your hand kept its hold on his hand that was on the ground next to your head, you whined as he didn't stop cumming. His hips had slowed and his cum dripped out of you while he was still inside of you. Your hand clawed at his z-band by accident, causing it to beep and turn green, the words 'ONLINE' finally popped up on the small screen.
  Zeds veins slowly returned to normal, but he was extremely tired and his whole body ached. He was still panting, but once his vision cleared and he noticed how fucked out you looked, he slowly pulled out of you, his cum leaking out of your pussy almost immediately and you whined. "Oh fuck, I'm so sorry baby" he repeated constantly, despite the hurt his body felt from his zombie taking over for so long.
  You let out a whine in response, not able to move and he quickly realized and lifted you up and into his lap after he put his pants back on. He covered your bare chest with the ripped cheer top and pulled your cheer skirt back down as his hand cleaned off your cheek and hair which was covered in grass. Despite how sore you already started to feel, you noticed the harsh color of red on his wrist, around his z-band. "Zed... that was amazing, but you've got to stop tampering with your z-band" You managed to say, your voice weak from all the moaning and crying out you did.
  Zed cracked a small smile when you confirmed that you were okay and you enjoyed it and he sighed when you mentioned him tampering with the z-band "I know.... Just... I have to win one last game and then I'll stop" He reassured you, and you hated the fact that he had to hurt himself just to be accepted into Seabrook. You nodded softly, "promise?" You said softly, looking into his brown eyes and he gently kissed your lips "I promise..."

Written In The Stars
Wyatt Lykensen x Reader
Tumblr media
request: wyatt x werewolf!reader and them finding out they're each other's mates (maybe they both have matching markings??)
A/N: this one was kinda fun!! i was stumped at first bc i’m not big on soulmate au’s and i’ve never written a werewolf reader before, but i made it there in the end. i attached a pic of what i imagined the mark to look like when i was writing at the end teehee. i also took some creative liberty with this one, i decided to go for a soulmate thing instead of them being typical wolf mates or whatever, plus the reader is gender neutral so you can read this however you want to perceive it! i hope you guys enjoy <3
words: 1.3k
content warnings: very light mentions of sex
in old wolf legend, there was the story of soulmates. on the 18th birthday of a wolf, they would get a marking on their hand. if two marked wolves were to share genuine love for each other in an embrace, the mark would glow to signify their souls being intertwined. if no glowing occurs, they cannot be soulmates. however, soulmate markings are only for werewolves. if one’s soulmate is not a wolf, no mark will appear. in today’s society, a wolf with a soulmate mark was rare. especially in seabrook, a town where werewolves live in harmony with humans, zombies, and aliens.
so on the 18th birthday of the lykensen twins, when a soulmate mark appeared on the hand of wyatt lykensen, everything changed.
-
wyatt inspected the mark on his hand for the millionth time that day. he liked how it looked - the design was intricate with overlapping lines and little triangles hidden in it - but despite that, he hated everything about it. the mark was a burden. every wolf his age was suddenly trying to make some sort of love connection with him in hopes that he would be their soulmate. half of them didn’t even have their soulmate marks yet.
wyatt wouldn’t have minded if it was because they wanted to be with him, but he knew it wasn’t that. his sister was the alpha werewolf, making him second in command. they wanted his power and his position within the pack. he knew that if willa had received a mark then all of this attention would be on her, but willa had already found a soulmate in a-spen. that’s what wyatt wanted. not some sort of forced relationship because of a magical tattoo, he wanted the kind of love that you would travel galaxies to find.
he sighed, looking away from his mark for the first time in what felt like hours. he was sitting on the top of the wolf-den, under the stars. when he was little, he would sit up here and try to make words and shapes out of the stars. he looked up at the night sky, inspecting something new for the first time all day. soulmates were supposed to be written in the stars, right? maybe he could find a clue up there…
“BOO!” came a voice from behind him. wyatt jumped, startled, then let out a sigh of relief when he saw it was only y/n, his best friend since they were pups.
“what is it with you and scaring me?”
y/n shrugged, sitting down next to him, “it’s fun.”
“yeah, for you.”
“shut up, you know you love me.”
wyatt looked back up at the stars, raking an exasperated hand through his hair.
“you’ve got that look about you again.” y/n nudged him with their shoulder.
“yeah… it’s-“
“the mark? dude, it’ll be fine.”
“i know, but… why did it have to be me?”
“don’t complain so much, you’ve got 20 age-appropriate werewolves trying to jump your bones. even waverley is trying to get a piece of you, and waverley is hot. who wouldn’t want that?”
“me, y/n. also, gross - don’t talk about jumping bones. i’m having a crisis here.”
y/n leaned back on their elbows, “yeah, but you need to lighten up - what better way to do that than to be wildly inappropriate?”
wyatt chuckled and looked at the rocks below him.
“see, there’s a smile!” y/n nudged him again, “and hey, at least you know now that you have a soulmate. i’m 18 in like… a month. i’m still in the process of wondering if my soulmate even exists.”
-
the weeks passed quickly. there weren’t many 18th birthdays so soon after wyatt and willa, only waverley - the really good-looking it-wolf of the pack. no mark appeared on waverley’s hand, to wyatt’s secret delight. waverley was cute and all, but he wasn’t interested. the werewolves that had tried to make a love connection with wyatt had all given up, deciding that it was a whole lot of work for something that wasn’t even that important. he was relieved in the end; he had started to get real sick of hugging.
it felt like no time had passed until it was the night before y/n’s birthday. wyatt was looking all over the wolf den for his friend, nowhere to be found. it was late, everyone else was asleep. he stepped outside of the cave when he heard a frustrated sigh from above him. he didn’t even have to look before he knew that he had found y/n. wyatt climbed up the front of the cave, hoping to scare the birthday wolf. he was met with a pebble to the head as he jumped up.
“ow?? why are you throwing stones??”
“sorry wy, i’m not having a great time up here and there are a bunch of loose rocks.”
wyatt clambered up and sat himself next to y/n. “every year, i forget just how much you hate birthdays.”
“why do birthdays have to be so weird? i don’t want all the attention on me. it’s gonna be so much worse this year with these stupid soulmate marks…”
“it’s really not that bad. plus, there’s like 6 of us with markings, so it’s not even a common thing.”
“i guess you’re right… i mean, i don’t know how i feel about even, like, the concept of soulmates. like, to be tied to one person for the rest of your life? i’ve never even been in a relationship. that’s terrifying.”
“yeah, i hear that. i don’t know, i hated it too when i first got it. i kinda find comfort in it now, though. like, there’s someone out there who is for me and will understand me and look out for me, and they’ll be there for the rest of our lives. something about that is reassuring, don’t you think?”
y/n scoffed at that. “it’s creepy! ‘ooh, we’re soulmates, i don’t know you and you don’t know me but i’m gonna love you and be there for you forever and ever and ever until we die’.” y/n shuddered, “super creepy.”
wyatt couldn’t help but laugh. “don’t be such a drama-wolf. it’ll be fine.”
y/n smiled, but the smile quickly faded into a melancholy sadness.
“hey,” wyatt started, “don’t be worried. soulmate or no soulmate, you got me. i’m here for you. nothing’s gonna change that.”
he could hear y/n’s silent tears in the night-time silence. wyatt put his arm around his dear friend, and y/n’s head sank into the crook of his neck. they sat like that for a while, until wyatt noticed a glowing golden light out of the corner of his eye.
“hey, what’s that?” he asked. y/n sat up, and the light moved. wyatt looked at his hand, and the delicate marking on his hand was shining a stunning ethereal gold. it looked beautiful. he heard y/n gasp gently, looking at the mark that had appeared on their own hand. y/n checked the time on her phone.
“12.02am. it’s my birthday.”
“you have a mark.”
“we didn’t even notice.”
“you have a mark.”
y/n tore their eyes away from the marking, which was now glittering a more subtle gold.
“it was-“
“i can’t believe-“
the two laughed lightly as they talked over eachother.
“this whole time,” wyatt began, “this whole time, i’ve been worrying who my soulmate could be. i didn’t even think… y/n…”
“we’ve been inseparable since, like, forever. god, it was the most obvious thing in the world! are we stupid?”
they laughed, revelling in this new and exciting feeling.
“we’re idiots.”
they looked up at the night sky once again, entangled in each other’s arms, and wyatt could swear he saw a glimmer of y/n’s smile gazing down at him.

Moonborne
Wyatt Lykensen x Reader
Fandom: Z-O-M-B-I-E-S
Note: This one’s been kicking around in my brain for a while. I think witches would fit in really well into the ZOMBIES world. This takes place after Z2 but before Z3.
Summary: Being the new girl in town is no easy feat, especially in a town full of zombies and werewolves. Wyatt takes a quick interest in you, but will he stick around once he learns about the magic you’re hiding beneath the surface?
Warnings: witchcraft? I guess? Other than that, none, I think.
Word Count: 4.7k
Reader is: A witch, implied to be female (they wear a dress) but I don’t think I ever used she/her pronouns.
Tumblr media
You had been somewhat hesitant to move to Seabrook with your family. Something was brewing there, you could feel it in the wind, in the stars when they twinkled. There was magic there, of a few different kinds, which called to your own.
You and your mother were what were called Moonborne witches, a rare bloodline passed down through generations. Meanwhile, your father was a descendant of the Mysticwood coven, which had origins out in Massachusetts. But the Moonbornes were different. The Moonborne Coven had origins right there in Seabrook, which is why after three hundred years, your family was finally moving back.
It had been a few days since you’d moved in. Thanks to your magic, the boxes seemed to unpack themselves. Although, just because things were still…shaky in Seabrook after the introduction of werewolves to the community, you and your parents had decided to glamour for the time being, until you knew things were safe.
So, instead of your usually purple hair, you were rocking a nice, natural, human hair color. It was fine. Glamouring full time did tend to tire you out, but it was a sacrifice that needed to be made to ensure your family wouldn’t get chased out of yet another home.
You’d taken it upon yourself to be the one to paint the front door. It was a witch thing. The front door was to be painted purple, and while you did so, you’d also inscribe it with a protection sigil, to protect the house and bless all the people within it. It was while you were about halfway done that you felt a presence behind you. Two of them, technically. Definitely not human, swirls of magic lingering around their souls, and they smelled heavily of the woods.
Werewolves.
“Excuse me? Sorry to bother you.” One of the wolves, a boy, said. His voice was deep with a slight rasp. It was familiar to you in a way you couldn’t explain. “You just moved in, right?”
You turned around to face the strangers. You were correct. Two werewolves, one boy and one girl. The boy was tall, covered in toned muscle. He had short brown hair with a very distinct white streak near the front of his head, a few purple markings on his face and tattoos on his forearms. He had pointed fangs in his mouth, the tips of his ears coming to a point as well.
The other, the girl, was shorter. She had a wilder energy to her, long straight brown hair with a large chunk of white. He could have been the Alpha, but you didn’t think he was. He had the presence, but not the energy of the first in command.
“Hi. I’m (Y/N). We just moved in, yeah. Nice to meet you.”
The boy looked stuck, a lump in his throat or something of the sort as he stared at you. His breath hitched and his mouth opened, but he didn’t speak, just looking at you with this hypnotized kind of glaze in his eyes.
“Wyatt.” The girl hissed, elbowing him in the stomach.
Wyatt. You repeated in your mind, committing it to memory. It suited him, you decided.
“Oh! Um…” He gathered his thoughts, seemingly tugged back down to earth from wherever his mind had floated off to just then. “Right. Sorry about that. I’m Wyatt, this is Wynter. We’re from the local wolf pack, and we took it upon ourselves to, uh, introduce ourselves, welcome you to the community, and invite you to our picnic this weekend.”
“A picnic? That’s really nice.” You smiled. “I’d love to go. Is it at the park?”
“It is.” Wynter nodded. “Everyone is invited.”
“Do you need us to bring anything?”
Wyatt smiled, warmth in his eyes. “You don’t have to. You can if you want to, though.”
“Okay, awesome. I have a wicked recipe for cake cookies.”
“Cake cookies?” Wynter’s face lit up. “Is it a cake made of cookies or cookies made of cake?”
“They’re cookies, but they’re made from cake mix. They come out super moist and soft.” You explained, chuckling at just how hyperactive she seemed to be, especially compared to her counterpart. “They’re great.”
“They sound like it. So, uh, where did you move in from?”
“Just moved in from Michigan, actually. Kind of beautiful there, but uh…I don’t know, I’m excited to be here.” You shrugged. “This place has a really unique energy to it.”
“Well, don’t let us big scary wolves chase you off.” Wyatt joked, tilting his head at you. There was something glimmering in his eye that you couldn’t quite place. Something mischievous and…maybe even nervous? “I…I have a feeling you’re gonna make a great addition to our town.”
“I think so too.”
***
The day of the picnic, you put on your glamour, baked your cookies, and headed out to the park with your parents. You were nervous; you didn’t really know anyone aside from the werewolves who had showed up on your doorstep, but it seemed this was the whole point, to get to know more people.
You half-expected staring eyes, looks of disgust and fear that usually accompanied you and your family, but you didn’t find them. Sometimes, you almost forgot you could wave your hand and wish away your natural witchy features, blending in seamlessly with humans. It was almost unfair.
“You made it!” A cheery blonde girl beamed, walking up to you. “You must be (Y/N)! I’m Addison and this is Zed!” She introduced the rather tall, lanky zombie boy beside her.
“Nice to meet both of you.” You greeted warmly. You held up your container full of cookies. “Where should I put these?”
“I can set them with the rest of the food.” Zed offered, taking the container from you and bringing it over to one of the tables.
“Did you make those yourself?”
“Yeah, I did. I like baking.” You shrugged. “Didn’t have much time to before the move, all the packing and whatnot.”
“Oh, I bet. Well, I’m super glad you guys moved here! If you need anything let me know.” Addison said, her voice sincere.
“I will.” You promised. Your parents were off with the other adults, chatting. You wandered for a bit before walking right into a tall, warm, muscled body. “Oh my gosh, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.” Of course it was Wyatt, his fanged grin confident and warm. “You came.”
“Of course I did. This is all great. Do you all do this often?”
“Only when the weather is this nice.” He motioned around at the perfect blue sky on the warm, sunny day. “And on full moons, but that’s more of a wolf thing.”
“Gotcha, gotcha.” You nodded.
“Want a hotdog? Bonzo and I just finished grilling them. We have vegetarian options, too, if you don’t do meat.” He offered, making sure to cover all of his bases.
“I’ll have a hotdog, yeah.” You chuckled. “The meat kind is fine. You guys have mustard?”
“We’ve got a little bit of everything.” He offered you his arm and, blushing, you took it, letting him guide you through the food options. You couldn’t ignore his warmth, nor the way his touch set your fingers tingling, your heart racing.
Something zinged through you, a floating, burning feeling. You’d never felt it before, but you’d heard whispers of it among the few remaining members of the Moonborne Coven. Strange things were said to happen when werewolves and witches crossed paths.
You pushed the thoughts out of your head. Wyatt was kind. He was beyond kind, actually. And already you could tell there was more to your connection than what lay on the surface.
***
After the picnic, Addison promptly got your number and added you to several groupchats, most of them including Wyatt as well as the other wolves, a handful of Zombies, and her friend Bree. They welcomed you with open arms, and it wasn’t long before they’d invited you to hang out with them. They’d agreed to meet at the bowling alley.
“I haven’t been bowling in ages.” You grinned, putting on the neon pink and green bowling shoes you’d rented.
“I haven’t been bowling ever.” Wyatt replied, putting on his shoes as well, tying them carefully despite the long claws he sported.
“Never?”
“It wasn’t until recently that we were actually let into town.” Wyatt told you, his demeanor shifting a little. He shrugged. “It’s nice, though. I like it here and I’m glad things are turning around.”
“That’s good.” You agreed. “People are really weird about differences and it sucks.”
“You think so?”
“Yeah. I mean, that’s kind of why we moved here. We heard things were getting…better. Still not perfect, but better. Our last town was really closed-minded, especially about…well, everything supernatural, I guess.”
“You’re human, though.” Willa said, her eyes narrowing at you as you spoke with her brother. It seemed she was always listening. “Why do you care what other humans think of us?”
You hesitated. “Right. Yeah, but…I don’t know, it doesn’t mean I have to put up with hatred.”
Wyatt smiled. “That’s really awesome, actually.”
“Thanks.” You chuckled. “Be the change you want to see and all that.”
You stood up, going to get a bowling ball, Wyatt close behind you.
“I’m sorry about her. She gets a little…defensive.”
“Don’t be sorry. After everything you guys have been through, I couldn’t blame her for being cautious. I’m a stranger. It makes sense to make sure I’m actually a decent person before getting comfortable.” You chuckled.
“Well, for the record, I think you’re more than a decent person.” He winked, causing you to laugh.
“Thanks.” You picked a pastel purple bowling ball off of the rack, weighing it in your hands before deciding it was adequate.
“So teach me, how do I pick a good one? I wanna make sure I’ve got a fighting chance at beating you.” Wyatt asked, playful. This was fun, you decided, getting flirted with by a werewolf. You kind of hoped it would continue, if you were honest.
Once you all picked your balls of choice, Bonzo set up the bowling games on the handful of lanes you were occupying and you all got started. You couldn’t help but notice, however, Wyatt coughed a bit, his eyes flashing yellow. You felt it in his magic, then, something flickering. Something wrong.
“You okay?” You asked him, turning to him in concern.
“What? Oh, yeah.” He nodded, stifling another coughing fit. “Allergies.”
You didn’t think that was the case, but you’d have to keep an eye on him. It was concerning.
***
A few weeks later and Wyatt’s condition hadn’t improved. In fact, you were pretty sure it was getting worse. You took it upon yourself to study up, turning to the several books your parents kept on every magical creature they could find. It came in handy, especially when moving to an area where they were the most common in the known world.
You scanned the books and found one on werewolves, plucking it from the shelf. As soon as you pulled it, however, the book next to it fell off of the shelf as well, sitting on the floor. It had a brown cover, but the letters on the front of it were embossed in a metallic, shining silver.
Moonborne.
“Huh.” You said, bending down to pick it up. You set it back on the shelf and turned around to leave with your book on werewolves, but heard a thud behind you. Sure enough, when you turned back around, it was sitting on the floor, innocent. “Okay…”
You picked it up off of the floor. Whatever was in the book wanted to be read and who were you to deny it. That was the thing about magic, sometimes it knew what you needed more than you did. You left the study and started to walk back to your bedroom to do your own research when you heard your mom calling you downstairs.
“(Y/N)! Your friends are here!”
“Coming!” You called back, glamouring as fast as you could and setting the books down on your way to the door, where Addison, Bree, Eliza, Willa, and Wynter were standing, dressed for a day on the town. “Oh, hey guys. What’s up?”
“We’re going shopping for dresses for the Summer Solstice Celebration! You wanna come?”
“Oh! Uh, sure! Let me grab my purse.”
“Here.” Your mom handed it to you, urging you out the door. She loved that you were fitting in so well already, but she had something else in her eyes. Her intuition was the best in the house; you had no doubt she knew something you didn’t.
“Thanks. I’ll be back later.”
She winked. “I know you will.”
The girls took you to a place downtown, a cute little dress boutique full of dresses for the occasion.
“So, you guys celebrate the Solstice? That’s really cool.” You noted, browsing the racks.
“It’s a wolf thing.” Wynter explained. “We used to celebrate it back when the witches still lived here.”
“Wait, there were witches in Seabrook?” Addison asked, her eyes wide with excitement. You really did love her enthusiasm for the supernatural. The world needed more of that. “What…happened to them?”
“They left.” Willa all but growled. “Our pack used to be bonded to their coven and they left us here as soon as things got tough.”
Your heart was racing, cheeks basically on fire. You didn’t know Willa was harboring such harsh feelings for your coven, and given that none of them knew you were a witch, you couldn’t speak on it without outing yourself immediately. You were trapped between a rock and a hard place.
“Oh, come on, Willa. They were chased out. They didn’t…I don’t think they meant to leave.” Wyatt’s voice was unmistakable, even though you didn’t expect him to be there. Your head whipped around at the sound of his voice. He looked…weaker than when you’d last seen him, dark bags around his eyes.
“Wyatt, why are you here?” Wynter asked. “I thought you were getting some sleep.”
“I probably should be.” He chuckled, shrugging. “But I knew you’d all be here and…I wanted to talk to (Y/N).”
You tilted your head, smiling softly. “Me? You can always text or call me, you know.”
He grinned, taking a few steps closer to you. “I know, but uh…I wanted to do his in person.” Wyatt stopped in front of you, his hand rising to your face, clawed fingers careful, tentative, like he was waiting for you to wince away from his touch. Instead, you took his other hand with your own, savoring the warmth he always seemed to exude.
“What?”
He took a nervous breath. “(Y/N), will you go to the Solstice Celebration with me?”
“Yeah, of course I will.” You nodded, eyes sparkling as you looked up at him. “I…really like you, Wyatt.”
Wyatt sighed in relief, the tension rolling out of his shoulders. “Awesome. That’s…that’s great because I really like you too, (Y/N).”
“YES!” Zed burst out of one of the changing rooms, pumping his fist in the air. “I told you she’d say yes, dude! Congrats, both of you.”
“Zed?” Addison questioned, laughing.
“Hey, babe.” He pressed a quick kiss to her cheek on his way to Wyatt. “Now that that’s settled, it’s boy’s night!”
Bonzo, also coming out of a dressing room, shouted what you assumed was the equivalent of “BOY’S NIGHT!” in zombie and followed the others out the front door, Wyatt, looking back at you the whole way out, grinning like an idiot.
“That was…weird. Very on-brand for Zed, though.” Eliza laughed.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so excited! I can’t believe he finally asked you out!” Addison squealed. “He’s liked you since the day he saw you.”
“He has?” You grinned, heart racing. “Awwww…”
“I know you don’t need me to tell you this, but if you break his heart—”
“Willa, chill.” Eliza said, rolling her eyes. “We’re all friends.”
Willa, surprisingly backed off, choking down her next words.
“Anywayssss, what do you want to wear? I think you’d look really pretty in this one.” Addison held up a pastel purple dress.
“That’s pretty, but…” Your fingers wandered to a floor-length glittering black down hanging on the next rack. “I think this might be the one…”
***
The Solstice had arrived, finally. The morning of, you and your parents celebrated privately, as you always did on your witchy holidays, and put on your glamours for the day. Your mother had a club meeting with the other mothers in town, your father had to pop into the office for a bit, and you had to get ready with the girls.
They were all assembled at Addison’s house, getting into their dresses, doing their makeup and hair. Addison helped you with yours, pulling your hair up into a bun and accessorizing with a few sparkly clips, sealing it with hairspray. If there was anything the cheerleaders knew, it was hair. You did your own makeup, sitting in a chair in front of the mirror. Willa stared at you for a long moment. You half-expected her to confront you again, but instead, she approached you with an eyeliner pen.
“Hey, um…could you do mine?” She asked tentatively. “Yours looks really good, and I don’t want to mess mine up.”
“Yeah, of course!” You hopped up out of the chair and let her take your spot instead. She handed you the eyeliner and you got in close, carefully and expertly doing some basic eyeliner. “Do you want wings?”
“Um, sure.”
“Big thick ones, or thinner, sharper ones?”
“Big, bold ones.” She replied, confident.
“Coming right up.” You finished the lines to her specifications, proud of your handiwork. You stepped away so she could take a look for herself.
Willa smiled, looking at her reflection. “Thank you. They look great.”
“Anytime.”
“And…I’m sorry, for everything. I guess I still have my walls up when I should be letting them down, getting to know people. It wasn’t fair of me to treat you like that.”
“It’s okay, Willa. I get it. You…you guys have been through a lot. More than I can imagine. You’re the Alpha, the protector. It makes sense that you’d want your pack to be safe, your brother or otherwise. I never took it personally.”
“I really appreciate that.” She smiled, putting her hand on top of yours. “And I think you and my brother are going to be great together.”
“How…how is he, by the way?” You asked, concerned. “I know he’s got something going on, but…”
“I’m sure he’ll be fine.” She nodded. “Maybe ask him about it tonight. Let him know he’s on your mind.”
“I will.” You were a little confused by what she meant, but werewolves loved their secrets, and you figured she was leaving it up to him to tell you this one, whatever it was.
The doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it!” Addison announced, rushing to get the door in her pretty pink dress.
The doorbell rang three more times before she got to it. Unsurprisingly, it was Zed and the guys on the other side, Zed being the one who rang the doorbell repeatedly.
“Babe! You look great!” You heard him compliment loudly while the boys shuffled in to see how you were all dressed.
Wyatt stood in the doorway for a long time, staring at you, looking absolutely starstruck. He swallowed. “W-wow. (Y/N), you look amazing.”
He had cleaned up nice, himself, wearing a sharp black suit, a purple bowtie with a moon pattern on it the only thing that called back to his usual attire.
You smiled. “Thank you. You look really nice, Wyatt.”
“Thanks.” He held out a little plastic box with a corsage in it, a white rose surrounded by smaller, purple flowers. “This is for you.”
You admired it for a long moment. “It’s beautiful.”
“I tried to find one as beautiful as you, but this was as close as I could get.” He told you, his voice soft and sincere, hints of that wolfy confidence in his tone as he slid the bracelet onto your wrist.
“You keep talking like that, I’m gonna melt into a puddle right here on the floor.”
“Well, we wouldn’t want that, now would we?” He chuckled. “How would I take you to the dance, then?”
You shook your head at him, laughing as he offered you his arm, escorting you out to the limo. Addison’s mom, the mayor, had pulled some strings and you were grateful she did. You sat down next to Wyatt and he settled an arm on the seat behind you. After a moment, he coughed into his other elbow, eyes glowing golden once more and his moonstone shining. It was a pretty bad coughing session, and it obviously hurt him a lot. You were worried.
“Wyatt, are you alright?” You asked again, concern in your eyes.
“I’m okay.” He insisted, nodding. “I…well, I will be.”
Before you could ask what that meant, the rest of the group joined you in the limo and you took off, headed for the dance, which was being held in the town’s community center, a large, modern building that they used to host all kinds of holiday events, according to Addison. This was the first time, however, that a summer solstice had been celebrated there.
You were all making Seabrook history, in a way, and you were about to make even more. Wyatt escorted you inside, where people were laughing and dancing around on the dance floor. There was a table of snacks and beverages, and the DJ of the evening was none other than Addison’s cousin, Bucky, who looked like he was having almost too much of a good time.
The group of you took some pictures together, chatting, dancing around and having a good time. Finally, Bucky played something slow and you looked up to catch Zed standing beside him, flashing Wyatt a thumbs-up.
He took a nervous breath and turned to you. “Hey, do you wanna dance?”
“I’d love to.” You told him, taking his hand and walking out to the dance floor with him. Wyatt’s hands found your waist and tugged you closer to him as your arms settled around his shoulders while you swayed to the slow song. It was nice, dancing with him, being so close to him. It felt cosmic. Even though he didn’t know about your magic, didn’t know you were anything more than human, there was an undeniable bond between the two of you in the way only a witch and a werewolf could be bonded.
“Hey, um…could we actually go outside for a second?” He asked, eyes nervous and brimming on golden. You could tell there was a lot going on in that head of his.
“Yeah, of course. Come on.” You two walked out the door leading to the garden, which was decorated for the occasion as well, twinkling lights draped around a beautiful wooden gazebo. He led you into it, sitting on the bench within and staring up at the stars before looking back at you.
“Um, so…You like me, right?” He felt the need to check. “Like you really like me?”
“Of course I do, Wyatt, what’s going on?” You took his hand, tilting your head.
“I—” He coughed again, turning his face away from you, eyes glowing as bright as the twinkling lights all around you. Once he finally had his composure, he tried again. “This. All of this is because I’ve been hiding something from you. I just, well, I didn’t know how to tell you without…scaring you away.”
“Whatever it is, you could never scare me away. I promise. I…honestly, Wyatt, I knew there was a reason we moved here and I thought it was just that the people here would be more accepting, and they are…but the real reason we moved here is you. It has to be.”
He took a long breath, nodding. “I’m really glad you said, that actually. Because, well…I imprinted on you. That day we met.” He let out a huge breath, his eyes glowing for a moment before settling again, as though things were shifting back into place within him now that he’d finally gotten it off of his chest. “I…I imprinted on you. You’re…well, if you accept me…you’d be my mate someday. But again, I understand if…if that’s not something you want.”
You stared at him for a long moment, letting the information settle in your mind before you rushed into his arms, pulling them around yourself and resting your cheek against his shoulder. “I want that, Wyatt. I want you. I…”
“Oh thank the moon.” He let out a relieved sigh, holding you tighter and letting his head rest against yours. “This is going a lot better than I thought it would.”
“Good. But uh…there actually is one more thing.” You pulled away from him to look at him. “You haven’t been the only one keeping secrets.”
His eyebrows furrowed. “What do you mean?”
“I’m not human, Wyatt.”
He took a long inhale, as though he was trying to get a whiff of what you actually were, deep down, but the glamour did a lot of things, one of which being it covered your natural scent. “You smell human.”
You chuckled. “Yeah, I bet. I…I think it’s probably just easier to show you.” You lifted a hand, summoning your magic to your fingertips and letting it cascade down your face and hair, taking off the glamour you’d used to hide for so long. You got a little choked up, tears welling in your eyes as you revealed yourself, your true self, for the first time in a very, very long time, purple hair cascading down your shoulders.
His expression melted as soon as he saw your tears, cupping your face in his warm hands and resting his forehead against yours, memorizing this new scent of yours. “Don’t cry. It’s okay. It’s okay, I promise. I…I love you (Y/N).”
You choked on a sob, meeting his eyes. “I love you, too.”
“So you’re…you’re a witch?” He asked carefully.
You nodded against him. “I’m a Moonborne. My family’s coven is from here. Willa was right. We…we abandoned you. I don’t know why they didn’t stay here and it took us so long to come back, but—”
“But you’re here now. And you’re mine. And…you’re not going anywhere this time, right?” he checked, eyes searching your own for confirmation that this was permanent.
“Right.” You nodded, whispering your promise to him. “We’re staying right here.”
He admired you for a long moment before leaning in and pressing his lips against yours, careful not to get you with his fangs. You melted against him, kissing him deeply as fireworks went off in the sky. When you returned to the friend group in a few moments, you knew everything would change. They would know who you really were, your secret would be out on the table and Wyatt would be your boyfriend.
But really, there was no way you would rather have it.
You and Wyatt walked back into the dance, hand in hand, your hair bold and purple. The others cheered, supportive and excited for you on all accounts.
“Love the new look!” Bree complimented. “But how did you do your hair so fast?”
“I’m…I’m a witch, you guys. I’m sorry I hid it from all of you for so long, but…my parents and I have been chased out of so many homes and Seabrook is the first place that’s actually felt…safe.”
“You’re a witch?” Wynter asked, looking you up and down.
And while you expected Willa to change her opinion of you once again, her expression softened too. She got it. You knew she would. “Witch or human or anything else…you’re part of our pack, (Y/N). Thank you for showing us who you really are.”
You took a long breath, giving Wyatt’s hand a little squeeze, which he reciprocated, leaning down to kiss your cheek. Though you had been afraid of Seabrook and what you might find there, now, you knew it was where you were meant to be. It had been your ancestor’s home, and now it was yours, and you knew it would be for the rest of your life.

Wyatt Lykensen isn’t a big fan of the aliens.
He isn’t the only one to feel this way, certainly. Not after they touched down in an explosion that rocked Seabrook half to pieces. Not after they’re taking advantage of their otherworldly abilities to beat out the rest of Seabrook High in just about every contest possible— athletic achievements, good grades, you name it.
Plus, their attitudes are just terrible. They pretend they’re just exploring a new way of life and just happen to be grinding everyone’s faces into the dirt by accident, but Wyatt swears he knows better.
He might be a little biased, though. The extraterrestrial newcomers committed one cardinal sin that’s damned them in Wyatt’s eyes until eternity. It’s something so bad that he’ll never forgive them again, even if they save his life a thousand times. It’s not just trying to tamper with the moonstone, as if that wasn’t bad enough.
No, what the aliens have done is something far worse, so terrible Wyatt’s fists clench at his sides when he so much as thinks about it. What is this terrible act, one might ask? What have the aliens done to ruin them forever? Easy. They’re trying to steal his girl.
Technically, they don’t know Wyatt’s girl is Wyatt’s girl, although that doesn’t earn them back any points. Wyatt has been secretly dating Y/N L/N for about three months now, and he’s never been happier. Their relationship started off a secret back when the werewolves were the unwanted intruders, and the easy rhythm of keeping everything hidden ended up being too familiar a pattern to break.
So no one else knows Wyatt is dating Y/N and they automatically assume she’s available. That would be an acceptable mistake to make, except for the fact that it isn’t. Y/N is Wyatt’s girlfriend, and no one else’s. Certainly not some alien weirdo whose biggest claim to fame is the fact that he descended from the sky like a glorified stage performer.
It’s the fault of one alien in particular. Their leader of sorts, A-Lan, has been all over Y/N ever since his ship touched down. It’s not like Wyatt feels threatened by him or anything, he just doesn’t like it, that’s all. What does A-Lan possibly have over him other than oddly bright blue hair, a superiority complex, and insanely good grades and skills and— oh no, he might be threatened after all.
Wyatt tries to push the whole thing from his mind. This isn’t a big deal, Y/N loves him and not the alien so the whole situation can just die down. He’ll probably forget he ever saw A-Lan as a possibility of pain in a week or two.
So Wyatt thinks, at least, and then he looks across a crowded hallway and sees Y/N talking to A-Lan by her locker. She’s laughing at something he just said, and Wyatt thinks he’s going to lose his mind.
“Careful,” says a wry voice from behind him, “I don’t think that combination lock has done anything to you to deserve being crushed.”
Wyatt startled and looks from Zed Necrodopolis, who has just appeared from the crowds to stand by his side, to the combination lock still in his hand. It had once been able to fit in his locker, but judging by the way it’s been almost flattened in Wyatt’s death grip, it won’t be useful as anything more than a paperweight from now on.
Wyatt pries his fingers from around the twisted metal with no small amount of effort. Zed watches with amusement.
“I take it you aren’t as open to the aliens, then?” The other boy prods.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Wyatt denies.
Zed arches a brow. “I’m sure you don’t. You just happen to have it out for your lock for a reason utterly unrelated to the fact that Y/N’s smiling at A-Lan?”
“Again?” Wyatt breaks out, temporarily forgetting that he’s not supposed to be aware of any of that. He tries to school his expression back into a more suitable neutral, but the damage is down.
Zed nods sagely. “Thought so. I get it, though. I know how it feels.”
Wyatt glowers as he puts his binders into his only slightly demolished locker. “Do you really?”
“Actually,” Zed says, “I do. Remember when you and your pack were the new guys in town? It used to drive me crazy watching you talk to Addison all the time. I was sure you were going to steal her from me.”
Wyatt scoffs. “Of course I wasn’t. Addison wouldn’t leave you if she found a fairytale prince ready to offer her a castle.”
“I’m glad you think so,” Zed remarks pleasantly, “but this is exactly the same thing with you and Y/N. She loves you, not A-Lan.”
It occurs to Wyatt that he shouldn’t be hearing this advice. “Y/N doesn’t love me. We’re, uh, just friends.”
Zed snorts. “You actually think I’m going to believe that? I mean, I only figured it out a month ago, but it’s pretty obvious if you think about it. You and Y/N are clearly in love. That’s why you’re so angry that A-Lan is flirting with her.”
Wyatt groans. “Yeah, that’s it alright. I just don’t know what to do about it.”
Zed plunks a reassuring hand on Wyatt’s shoulder. “You don’t have to do anything about it unless something happens. Y/N can handle herself, trust me. That’s why she’s been glancing over at you every five seconds instead of paying attention to A-Lan blabbering away at her.”
“Really?” Wyatt asks hopefully.
Zed nods and jerks his head towards Y/N’s locker to prove his point. Wyatt follows his line of sight and meets Y/N’s eyes. She flashes him a bright smile, and just like that, he can’t find it within him to worry about blue haired aliens for a single second.
That relief is only temporary, however. A few days later, Wyatt is still stressed. Y/N may love him as much as Wyatt loves her, but A-Lan’s efforts to win her over are so relentless that they could convince anyone that it’s time for a change. A-Lan holds doors open for Y/N, he carries her books in the hall, he even brings her flowers, something that sends Wyatt into a fury that Willa has to be called in to calm him down.
No, he’s losing it. Losing her, maybe, and that thought is enough to make Wyatt even less sure of himself. So, when he’s walking Y/N home from school one supposedly sunny afternoon and he sees A-Lan approaching them with a stupid little grin on his face, Wyatt knows, he Knows, that this is going to be bad.
Still, he tries to be civil. For Y/N’s sake at least, Wyatt can stop rising to every single bait. He can still remember what it was like to be the supernatural outcast, how the zombies hated the werewolves for being different even though they had fought so hard for equality. Now it’s the werewolves’ turn to repeat the cycle, and maybe at some point these otherworldly newcomers will be able to go through the exact same thing.
A-Lan comes to an excited stop beside them. “Y/N, it’s so good to see you can. It has been far too long since the last time we spoke.”
Y/N chuckles. “I saw you last period. It’s barely been ten minutes.”
“Exactly,” A-Lan says, teeth shining uncannily brightly. His fluorescent smile dims somewhat when he turns to Wyatt, as if just now realizing that Y/N isn’t alone. “Wyatt Lykensen.”
“A-Lan,” Wyatt says, mirroring the other boy’s stilted tone.
A-Lan clears his throat. “I was hoping to speak to Y/N.”
Wyatt nods, and after a few moments, A-Lan coughs again, this time louder. “Alone,” he clarifies.
Oh. Wyatt glances over at Y/N, and he’s just about to prove that he’s the bigger person and leave when he notices that Y/N is looking at him beseechingly. A second later, it hits him. Y/N wants this as little as Wyatt does, and that gives him enough strength to take on a thousand aliens if need be.
Wyatt squares his shoulders and remains exactly where he is. “Actually, I’m good here, thanks.”
Y/N nods quickly. “Whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of Wyatt. Trust me.”
A-Lan’s gaze sours momentarily before he forces himself to adopt a dazzling grin once more. “Alright, then. Y/N, over my time here at Seabrook I’ve grown to appreciate the good things in life, and you’re one of them. I hear that it’s common around people to ask someone in, and I’d like to do that now.”
Wyatt has to bite back a laugh even as he feels himself flicker with irritation. “You’re asking her out, you mean?”
A-Lan blinks. “That’s what I said.”
“Sure it is,” Y/N says placatingly, “but–”
The second someone other than Wyatt speaks, A-Lan’s eerily positive aura returns in full force. “So you accept? Wonderful. We can go to an ice cream shop tomorrow. Maybe even tonight. Is that too soon? I don’t think it is.”
Y/N holds up a hand. “Wait a minute, I never actually said yes.”
“You don’t have to,” A-Lan says delightedly, “I know how you feel. It’s the same as me, you’re excited about this.”
Wyatt can feel a slow burn of anger coursing through him, turning his bones into solid iron, his blood to liquid flame. “Slow down, buddy. Y/N doesn’t want to go out with you.”
A-Lan loses control over his smile once again. “I don’t know why you’re so involved in this. I’m asking Y/N out, you’re not. Right, Y/N?”
The other boy puts his arm around Y/N’s shoulders, and that is exactly when Wyatt loses it. He can feel the transformation even without looking at himself. Judging by the gasp of surprise A-Lan lets out, Wyatt’s eyes have begun to glow, and Wyatt can feel the added length of his fangs when he speaks.
His tone cool and deadly, Wyatt fixes A-Lan with a stare so severe that the alien takes a step back, even without realizing it. “Get your hands off of my girlfriend,” Wyatt asserts, “Right now.”
A-Lan’s eyes widen. “Your– Y/N’s your–” He has to take a moment to collect himself, and then the plastic smile is back again. “I didn’t realize. You two are dating?”
“Yes,” Y/N says crisply, “which is why I’m going to have to turn down your offer of getting ice cream later. I’m sure you understand.”
“I do,” A-Lan murmurs at last, “I most certainly do. Excuse the interruption.”
He all but speed walks away, leaving Wyatt and Y/N there in stunned silence. It occurs to Wyatt that they are not alone; indeed, they’re just outside the bounds of the school, and everyone walking by has seen what happened. They’re the recipients of more than a few shocked stares, and Wyatt can practically hear it as people race to their phones to tell their friends what just happened.
“Well,” Wyatt says as casually as he can, “I don’t think our relationship is a secret anymore.”
Y/N smiles at last. “I’m not sure that’s such a bad thing. Unless you wanted it to stay that way?”
“No,” Wyatt declares fervently, “Not at all. I love you, Y/N, and that means I don’t care what people have to say. I’m happy with you. I never needed anyone’s opinion but yours.”
Wyatt decides there and then that he’s never seen a prettier sight than when Y/N turns to beam at him. “I think that’s the sweetest thing you’ve said to me yet,” she comments.
“I’ll just have to say it more often,” Wyatt decides.
He has the creativity for endless compliments, now and forever. A-Lan is out of the way, and now Wyatt doesn’t have to fear any untoward attempts from other students trying to steal his girl. He will be happy with Y/N until forever. As it turns out, that’s just enough time for him.

Zombies Headcanons- Dating Wyatt Would Incloud...
Heyyyy!!! This is my first ZOMBIES headcanon, hope you’ll like it!!!
written & published : July 18th, 2022 | word count : 780
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ CUDDLES. our soft boy is cuddley af. Cuddling with you makes him feel like he’s protecting you from everything, which is pretty much his favorite thing to do.
~ He’s also sneaking from the cave to your house just to get a hug from you after the pack goes hunting.
~ ALL of the pack loved you since Wyatt introduced you, except for Willa. You’re human, so she needed a long time to trust you with her brother; but eventually she sees you as a part of the pack.
~ Wyatt is VERY protective of you; as I mentioned earlier, he LOVES feeling like he’s protecting you from everything in the world. He would do anything for you, if someone or something hurts you or make you miserable, he would find them and teach them what people get for messing with his girl\boy.
~ He is also a little possesive of you. Not in a bad way, he just makes sure you have his scent all over yourself  so every wolf, zombie and human being around will know that you’re his and he’s yours.
~ Your parents walked in on you laying in your bed with Wyatt’s head on your chest and your arms wrapped around him A LOT; He loves listening to your heartbeats and the feeling of being in your arms after hunting. (you do force him to shower before that though)
~ FALLING ASLEEP IN HIS ARMS. You love the warmth of his body and how protected you feel when he hugs you, and he loves how he can protect you and how calm and relaxed you look when you sleep, not to mention his amazement at how small you feel in his arms, so you two do it a lot.
~ Being the 2nd cutest couple in Seabrook High, right after Zed and Addison.
~ Getting teased by your friendgroup A LOT for being so unrealistically ADORABLE.
~ Having the cutest nicknames for each other- “moonlight” and “sunshine” are your (and his) favorites for some reason- but you call each other “my wolfy” and “my human boy\girl” a lot. (Addison laughs at you every. single. time.)
~ He’s sneaking around just to hug you from behind when you take your books from your locker
~ You do the same to him.
~ Overall you’re the cutest couple ever and I want to have your relationship.
New Student // Willa Lykensen
request: could you do Willa from Zombies x female reader (if you’re not comfortable then gn reader), a really cute fic where Willa has a crush for the first time and she’s quite nervous around the reader which is out of character for her, but Addison and Wynter assure her that it’s okay and Willa flirts with reader?
prompts: none!
summary: you’ve just moved to seabrook, and everything has been going great! except for the fact that one of your new “friends” is pretty much ignoring you. what happens when the two of you are tricked into spending time together?
warnings: god used as a curse word?, also a kinda abrupt ending :/
word count: 2k
a/n: gn!reader
Tumblr media
Your hands clenched tightly against the straps of your backpack as you looked up at the building in front of you. Seabrook High. It was yet another first day of school for you. After having spent the majority of your life moving from city to city, your parents decided they wanted to move back to their hometown. And while you were excited at first due to the chance of finally having a somewhat normal highschool experience, Seabrook wasn’t anything like you thought it would be.
Before even walking into the building, you looked around in shock at everyone walking beside you. And just when you thought you were finally going to have a normal high school experience. But no, you just had to go to a school that had monsters attending.
Now you were never one to judge. You knew how it felt to be hated for reasons you couldn’t control. But just the thought of having to spend the rest of the year sharing classrooms with zombies, werewolves, and aliens made you a bit uneasy.
Your parents assured you they were all very nice and that you had nothing to be afraid of. And while you believed that none of the other students would ever actually harm you, you still couldn’t shake your anxiety.
But nonetheless, you had to walk inside. It wasn’t like you could just turn around and hide in your room for the rest of the year. People would notice. And it was your senior year, so not graduating didn’t seem like a very pleasant idea.
Taking a deep breath, you started walking into the building. The perfect white walls accented with pink and green filled your view as you took in your new surroundings. A group of cheerleaders walked by, looking as peppy as ever. You could easily tell apart the cliques based on the outfits alone. And looking down at yourself, you realized you didn’t really fit into any of them.
The humans wore pink and blue, looking perfectly well put together. Cheerleaders were all wearing their bright pink and green uniforms. The zombies wore clothes that looked like they were handmade, patches of fabric and uneven stitching catching your eye. The aliens stood out too, all shiny and futuristic looking. And even the werewolves had their own look, purple and brown, with faux fur accenting their looks.
Meanwhile you wore an old band tee and ripped jeans. You stuck out like a sore thumb. A few people looked at you weirdly. None of the stares were mean, rather just curious or confused. You didn’t have a clique, or a group of people like you. No one even looked remotely similar. You felt your anxiety beginning to build up again. Maybe you really weren’t going to find any friends. Maybe there was no common ground between you and anyone else in this town.
You carefully squeezed your way through the crowd of teenagers, occasionally glancing down at the paper in your hand that held both your schedule and your locker number. After wandering through the halls aimlessly, you found the locker that would be yours for the rest of the year. You walked up towards it, and entered the combination on your paper, but the lock wouldn’t budge. You tried again and again, but it still wouldn’t open.
You let out a frustrated huff, punching the locker as you did so.
“Need some help with that?”
You turned around to find a girl, with bright blue hair standing behind you. Her hair was a stark contrast to the green and pink dress she wore. She held both her pom poms in one hand, the other was pointing towards the locked behind you.
“Uhm yeah. I’ve been trying the combination but it just won’t open.”
“Mind hold these?” She extended her pom poms out towards you, her smile never fading
You nodded and grabbed them, moving aside so she could try her luck at opening your locker. Somehow she managed to bust it open on the second try.
“One of the numbers in your combo was wrong. It was a 10, not a 1.” She smiled yet again, grabbing her pom poms back from your hands.
“Thank you so much! You’re a lifesaver.”
“Oh, it was nothing. You’re new here, right? I’m Addison!”
“Y/n. Nice to meet you!”
“You too! I guess I’ll see you around.”
And with that she headed off down the hallway, practically bouncing with each step.
~
“Y/n! Over here!”
Your head turned at the call of your name, and you saw Addison waving you over to the table she was sitting out. You instantly felt relief wash over you knowing that you wouldn’t have to deal with finding a place to eat lunch.
You walked over to her table, and took a seat next to her, not wanting to sit next to someone you didn’t know.
“Hi,” you said as you waved nervously at everyone else sitting at the table.
“Everyone, meet y/n! They’re new here! Y/n this is Zed, Bree, Eliza, Bonzo, Willa, Wyatt, and Wynter,” she said as she pointed towards everyone sitting around you.
They all greeted you, and talked excitedly, happy to have met someone new. All of them except for Willa that is. She kept glancing at you and then looking away, not saying anything and instead focusing on the lunch tray in front of her. No one else seemed to notice her silence, or if they did they didn’t say anything about it. Maybe she was just like this. You didn’t want to say anything or draw attention to it, especially since you had just met. But a small part of you felt a bit sad that she had ignored you.
~
“What was all that about Willa?” Wynter asked, walking up beside her.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Will replied, attempting to brush off Wynter's comments.
“Don’t think you don’t know what you were doing. You barely said anything at lunch! And you’re always chatty!”
“You know I’m not that friendly around new people.”
“Well yeah, but I mean you didn’t say anything at all! You could barely even look at y/n.”
Willa’s eyes widened and she felt her face grow hot at the mention of you. Wynter almost immediately noticed the change in Willa’s demeanor, and managed to put two and two together.
“Wait a minute. Were you ignoring y/n because they make you nervous?” Wynter asked, a teasing smile growing on her face.
“What? No! I don’t get nervous.”
“You are so lying right now!”
“I am not!”
“Mhm, yeah sure. Whatever you say.”
~
“Addison!” Wynter yelled, speed walking down the hallway to catch up with the cheerleader.
“What?” Addison asked, laughing slightly at the excitement on Wynter’s face.
“I think Willa has a crush on y/n!”
“Wait seriously?” Addison said, a smile beginning to grow on her face.
“Yeah! I mean think about it, why else would Willa just completely ignore them? And whenever I mention their name, Willa gets all squirmy.”
“Oh my gosh! Ok we have to do something!”
“Like what?”
“We have to figure out a way to get them to talk!”
“Ok! But how?”
“I have an idea!” Addison said, smiling even wider.
~
You tapped your fingers on the table in front of you, attempting to find something to keep you stimulated while you sat in wait. Earlier that day Addison had asked you to meet up with her and some of her friends at the library to study for the biology test coming up at the end of the week. Of course you had accepted, both wanting to spend time with your new friends and desperately wanting to not fail your first test at a new school.
She said she was going to meet you at 3:30, but it was now 3:45 and Addison wasn’t anywhere in sight. None of them were. You were beginning to think maybe you had gotten the time wrong, or maybe everyone else was at some other library even though you were pretty sure this was the only library in Seabrook.
Another ten minutes passed, and you were about to leave when your phone buzzed. You picked it up to see a text from Addison.
Cheer practice is running really late today, I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make it :(
Hope the study group goes well!
Well that explains where Addison was. But what about everyone else? You waited another five minutes, deciding to stick it out a little longer, just in case they were all running late. When no one else showed up, you decided to head home. Maybe you really were at the wrong place.
Just as you began putting your books back into your bag, someone walked over to the table you were sitting at, placing their bag down beside them. You looked up to see Willa standing in front of you, her signature scowl present on her face. You felt your cheeks heat up at the sight of her. Even if she always seemed grumpy, you still found her absolutely breathtaking.
“Hey Willa. You here for the study group?” you asked, not quite brave enough to meet her eyes.
“Yeah. Where’s everyone else?” Her voice was so monotone that you couldn’t tell if she was angry or not.
“I don’t think they’re coming. I’ve been here for over half an hour, and you’re the first person to show up.”
Willa paused, something that looked like confusion flashing across her face, before returning to her normal, expressionless self.
“Addison told me to get here at four.”
“That’s weird, she told me 3:30.”
Willa’s eyes widened, a look of realization followed by annoyance. She groaned, burying her face into her hands.
“Uhm, you ok?” you asked, confused by her reaction.
“Addison did this on purpose. She wanted us to be alone together. Wynter must’ve told her.”
“Told her what?”
As soon as the words left your mouth, Willa froze. An unreadable expression crossed her face, and you felt nerves building up inside of you, panicking that you had said something wrong.
After almost a minute passed, you tried to ease the ever building tension.
“Did I say something wrong?” you said softly, not wanting to anger Willa any more.
But to your surprise, when she looked up at you her expression softened.
“No. No, you didn’t say anything wrong. Sorry about that. It’s kinda my fault that this happened. You see- god this is so awkward,” she trailed off, bringing her hands up to her face again.
You reached over and gently pulled them away, smiling when your eyes met once more.
“You can tell me if you want. I won’t judge if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“No, it’s not that. It’s just- I like you. Like really like you. And Wynter figured that out. So she probably told Addison who set up this whole fake study group plan to get me to actually talk to you instead of just ignoring you.”
You felt a million butterflies beginning to flow through you as your face lit up at Willa’s confession. Even though you had only known her a few days, you felt this pull towards her. It was unlike anything you’ve ever felt before. And to know that she felt the same way! It was indescribable. You felt like you were floating.
“I really like you too Willa.”
For the first time ever, you saw Willa smile. You could feel your heart racing as you interlocked her hands with yours. Her touch was electric. Everything felt magical. So what if she was a werewolf and you were a human. None of that mattered. Especially not in Seabrook. This was the most freeing town you’ve ever lived in. And you had a really strong feeling that you were going to love it here.
Bonzo x reader
Words: 455
Author’s Note: okay so I watched zombies franchise for the first time and it’s so adorable! Now I don’t write for them but I loved Bonzo and Bree so I just ended up writing this. Also I haven’t reread this so sorry if some parts don’t make sense.
Tumblr media
Although it’s been well past a year since zombies and monsters have integrated into your regular ole human life, there was still so much you were getting used to.
So many different cultures that were so unique. One of the things you especially were interested in was…zombie language.
You were especially interested in this since you had started seeing Bonzo a couple of months ago. Now you weren’t fluent in zombie tongue, you barely could understand most of Bonzo’s sentences but you did eventually learn some zombie tongue thanks to Eliza teaching you here and there. Plus Bonzo always did his best to help you understand his language and you tried your best too.
Well this particular evening you were enjoying a sweet picnic your zombie boyfriend had arranged. Tasty food, sweet drinks, beautiful lights all around, it was truly the perfect date.
But it seems like you were the only one that thought it was perfect as Bonzo said a string of zombie words unloading his thoughts.
“What? No don’t be sorry how it turned out this was beautiful,” you assured him.
Your words seem to do the trick in turning his frown upside down and you grinned back, gazing into his eyes his expression is completely replaced with an adorable grin and big round eyes.
Goodness, do you love those eyes.
You’re stuck, lost in those eyes for a mere moment before you come back to your senses realizing he’s saying something. But you’re not exactly sure what.
“I’m sorry, what was that?”
He repeats the string of words that you’ve never heard before but it doesn’t do much. Like mentioned before you weren’t fluent in Zombie. You could piece phrases together with the words you knew but you’ve never heard anything like this before.
Spotting the confusion in your expression he takes both hands in his and leans closer so you can get a better view of his face before saying it again. It’s not clear but it sounds like “uh ruv ue.”
“Uh ruv ue?” You repeat, still confused having never heard that phrase before. You shake your head, “I don’t understand.”
He frowns slightly before his face lights up again as he fishes around for his phone. Finding the object, he types into it before pushing a button.
At the tap his phone speaks in a robotic tone, “I love you.”
Your lips spread into a wide grin at the words. Reaching out and pushing his phone down along with his hand, all you say is, “gar gar ga za.”
Immediately Bonzo’s face brightens. Ignoring the plates and small mess in between you he quickly kisses the top of your head before peering down at you.
‘Best Kept Secret’
Wyatt Lykensen x Reader
Tumblr media
request: wyatt x wells!reader with a secret relationship? they're just always sneaking away from friends during school to meet up.
A/N: my first request and it’s a wyatt x reader?? the stars literally aligned for me on this. i hope you guys like it!! this is set after the events of zombies 2 for timeline reasons. don’t get sick of wyatt just yet though, there might be some more content coming your way…
words: 1.6k
content warning: light swearing
Tumblr media
y/n smiled at her phone and sighed. she had been dating wyatt for a few months now, but they had decided to keep it secret due to the fact that she was human and he was a werewolf. she knew seabrook was integrated now and the human/zombie/werewolf student body was becoming more familiar by the day, but it was just easier to keep her relationship with wyatt a secret.
she didn’t really know why they kept hush about it. perhaps it was so the two of them would be somewhat left alone by bucky and his aceys who found every opportunity to say something snide and cruel about y/n and her friends. maybe it was the fear of wyatt being shunned by his wolf pack - this was the first time a wolf and a human had started a relationship in well over a century. maybe it was the judgement she would get from her family.
to cut a long story short, y/n was burdened with the surname ‘wells’. not only was her mother the mayor and her father a well-respected zombie patrolman, but she was the twin sister of star cheerleader and monster-activism trailblazer addison wells.
it’s not that addison and y/n didn’t get along, they had been best friends since the day they were born - they practically came out of the womb holding hands - it’s just that y/n had seen everything that addison had gone through last year with her zombie boyfriend zed, and she did not want that for herself and wyatt. zombies were one thing, but werewolves were still a whole other story in seabrook.
on top of all that, y/n was simply never as popular as addison. she always felt like an outsider. where addison hid her natural hair with a blonde wig, y/n always wore her white locks proudly and defiantly. this got her in a lot of trouble with her parents and the school (seriously, being dress-coded for having naturally white hair was a joke) but she didn’t care. she wasn’t like all the other kids at seabrook, why try to fit in?
that’s how y/n and wyatt met, actually. y/n noticed how all of the wolves had streaks of white in their hair, and she was curious. maybe this was why she felt as though she was different from the others? she talked to wyatt about it, learned some interesting things about wolves, learned some interesting things about wyatt, and shared some interesting things about herself. the rest, as they say, is history.
so, y/n and wyatt were seabrook’s best kept secret. when they weren’t miserably hiding their relationship, it was sort of fun. y/n liked the danger of sneaking around with her scary” boyfriend, and the thought of doing so was more than appealing as she stared down at her chemistry textbook on the table.
she closed the book and picked it up, making her way out of the library, when all of a sudden she felt a hand on her arm and was being pulled round the corner. she yelped just as she came face to face with her boyfriend.
“miss me?”
“wyatt, you frightened me!” she smacked him playfully on the arm.
“come on, i’ll walk you to your locker. you’re not gonna need any books next period.” he grinned as the two of them walked down the hall.
y/n placed the chemistry textbook in her locker as wyatt leaned nonchalant on the lockers next to her.
“where are we even going for our… free period?” he asked in a hushed voice. she smirked at him and shook her head. the halls were completely empty, everyone was already in their next classes.
“this was your idea, honey. i figured you would have a plan.”
“when do i ever have a plan for anything? you’ve been at this school far longer than i have, surely you know some good hiding spots.”
“i don’t know if you remember this, but i’m a wells. i have to be on my best behaviour at all times.”
“god, that’s pitiful. thank god you have me, you’d be so bored otherwise.”
y/n closed her locker and kissed wyatt on the cheek.
“thank god indeed. come on, i think the football field is unoccupied this period.” she grabbed wyatt’s hand as she started to run towards the school’s exit. he laughed loudly as he ran with her, and she shushed him.
y/n and wyatt sat on the bleachers, looking out over the seabrook football field. it was a warm day, as it usually was in their perfect town. wyatt and y/n enjoyed deep conversations in moments like this, no one around them to interrupt them, simply sitting and chatting. wyatt had his fingers interlocked with y/n’s as they spoke.
“you’d think the school would be more monster-friendly” wyatt sighed.
“yeah, i mean eliza was campaigning for zombie language classes which would have been dope, but there’s not much accommodation for zombies outside of what zed’s presidential campaign was going for.”
“and for werewolves… shit, people still won’t look us in the eye half the time.”
y/n smiled softly and squeezed wyatt’s hand. he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.
“sometimes i think you’re the only one outside of the pack who understands me, sweetheart.” he said. he was only inches away from y/n’s face, it would be so easy to just grab his cheeks and kiss him. so that’s exactly what she did.
y/n’s hands gripped wyatt’s face firmly and she kissed him square on the mouth - only briefly, but it left them both grinning. wyatt returned the favour, kissing her with such force that almost knocked y/n backwards. they laughed against each other’s lips until wyatt pulled away. he had a concerned look on his face, and y/n immediately worried.
“wy, what’s up?”
“not to panic you or anything, but i got a scent.”
“oh god, what is it?”
“smells like jock.”
“oh shit” y/n exclaimed, looking at her phone. there was 5 minutes left of their ‘free period’ and she had totally forgot that the football players and cheerleading squad start their practises early. this wouldn’t be much of an emergency, except for the fact that y/n’s sister was on the cheer team.
“we need to hide, right? if addison or zed sees us-“
wyatt finished her sentence for her. “we won’t be much of a secret anymore, i know. come on, let’s go.”
they made their way down the steps of the bleachers as fast as they could - why the hell did they sit all the way at the top?! - and began to make their way around the corner of the field when they saw the football team and cheer squad about to turn the same corner, with addison and zed leading the crowd.
“under the bleachers!” y/n whisper-shouted and grabbed wyatt’s hand, running to hide under the metal bleachers from her sister’s line of sight. the two were out of breath, quietly laughing with relief.
“you’re almost too good at this ‘keeping secrets’ thing, you know that?” wyatt asked, wrapping his arms around y/n’s waist. she put her arms on his shoulders and began fussing with the soft hair on the nape of his neck.
“oh please, this is a team effort.”
wyatt hummed in agreement as he leaned in for another kiss, but the two were interrupted by the sound of a throat clearing.
“you guys good under there?” zed grinned. addison was standing next to him, trying to hide her smile.
“i don’t know what shocks me more: the fact that you hid your boyfriend from us, or the fact that you skipped class, y/n.” she laughed.
“please don’t tell mom and dad.”
“about your truancy or your secret werewolf boyfriend?” zed interjected. y/n scowled at him.
“if you don’t want me to, i won’t.” addison reassured her. y/n breathed a sigh of relief.
“thank you.”
zed sauntered over to wyatt, putting him in a headlock.
“skipping class, huh? remember what i said about doing it like the zombies do?”
wyatt smacked his arm playfully. “yeah, right. like no zombie has ever cut class before.”
“we follow rules here at seabrook. come on, furball, can’t be missing two classes in a row.”
wyatt sighed as zed let him out of the headlock. he was still getting used to being so buddy-buddy with people outside of the pack, and zed really could be extra sometimes.
“he’s right, actually,” wyatt said to y/n, “we probably should get to our next classes. don’t wanna get caught by anyone else.”
“yeah, you’re right. you go ahead, i’ll catch up.”
wyatt winked at his girlfriend before he began to walk away. y/n turned to her sister, engulfing her in a hug.
“i’m so sorry i didn’t tell you, addy. you have no idea how badly i wanted to. we were just worried what everyone would think. wyatt hasn’t even told his sister either and she’s the alpha werewolf and she’s, like, actually scary.” y/n blabbered, squeezing addison tight. addison laughed.
“sis, it’s okay. i was nervous to tell you about zed and i when we first started dating. don’t stress.”
“ugh, i love you. i really should go though, i don’t wanna be late and i know for a fact wyatt is waiting for me a few feet away.”
addison untangled herself from her sister’s tight squeeze of a hug.
“i love you too, now go!” she spun y/n around by her shoulders and gave her a shove. y/n waved goodbye before she jogged to catch up with wyatt.
zed wiped a fake tear from his eye, “ah, young love.”
“come on, casanova, you’ve got football practise.”
Discoveries at the Dance
Based on this request: "It was the night of the Prawn, Y/n & Addison were there but depressed as Zed & Wyatt can’t make it. Addison noticed that their dates had arrived they went to Zed & Wyatt. An earthquake happened so everyone followed it and found the moonstone. Y/n’s necklace (the moonstone one Wyatt gave her) started to glow, Addison suggested to put it on the moonstone & when she did she transformed into a Werewolf"
It is the night of the school dance, and what should be one of the happiest evenings in your memory thus far is instead being spent trying to hold back tears. You’re only mostly successful. Across the room, your best friend Addison is experiencing similar levels of joy. Both of you have been looking forward to this night for about as long as you’ve been alive, but here you are– two girls, absolutely miserable. Clearly high school isn’t the place for high expectations, but you had rather hoped to at least enjoy yourself a little bit.
As if running through similar thoughts in her own joyless head, Addison gives a weak little laugh. “Well, don’t we look like we’re having a good time? We might as well get ourselves together, this night can’t get any worse.”
“Are you sure about that?” You ask balefully. “I’m pretty sure we can keep digging. Rock bottom isn’t real to me yet.”
Addison snorts in spite of herself. “Oh, come on. We’ve both been dreaming about going to the Prawn since we were kids and first heard about it. We have our perfect outfits and everything. Surely we can at least have a little bit of fun tonight, right?”
You look at her doubtfully. “We could, if it weren’t for the fact that we’re missing something even more important than a dream outfit. You know, maybe that our dates are all physically barred from entering?”
Addison grimaces. “I was trying to avoid thinking about that, but yeah, that does make for a bit of a downer.”
You laugh bitterly. “At least we look good. We have to show up eventually, right? Let’s swallow our pride and just be there. We can’t push this off any longer.”
“Are you sure about that?” Addison asks, looking wistfully at a framed photo of her and Zed on her desk.
“Positive,” you say grimly, “Now let’s go. The Prawn waits for no man. Nor monster, apparently.”
That’s the problem with the dance, after all. Everything about it is perfect– the decorations, the lights, the excited laughter of students billowing out from the propped open doors. The only thing you’re missing is the fact that the boy you love is not allowed to step foot on the premises due to the fact that he’s not entirely human.
See, you knew there would be problems when you first started falling for Wyatt Lykensen. Of course there would be problems. After all, look what happened when Addison started dating Zed. Despite the fact that she was a star cheerleader and he was single-handedly turning Seabrook football around, everyone in town had opinions on it, and most all of them were bad. Factor in the fact that at least zombies weren’t unfamiliar to the people of Seabrook due to the fact that they’d been present for years, and it’s obvious that the Zed situation was the best case scenario in a sea of really bad alternatives.
Wyatt, on the other hand? Wyatt, who’s one of the werewolves, who will never know a reception into this town with open arms? He has none of Zed’s stellar reputation in the high school, which means that his entrance into the ranks of Seabrook students would only be received even worse. The werewolves may, admittedly, have not had the purest of intentions when they first showed up, but they want to be here now. Wyatt has convinced you of that a thousand times over.
You’re not the one who needs convincing, though. All of Zed’s hard work championing the cause of monster equality, everything the werewolves have done to try to make a place for themselves in the town, and it’s all come to nothing. The Prawn is humans only, something that you and Addison are deeply infuriated over tonight. There’s nothing you can do now, though– you already tried your hardest to avert this crisis and it still happened.
So, as much as you would love to be able to have your moment with your boyfriend, it’s not going to be happening tonight. You, Addison, and Bree are going in a group of friends out of solidarity for all that you’ll be missing. Addison is wishing Zed was there right now, you know for a fact that Bree wants Bonzo there to dance with her, and you’re looking out of every window in the hopes that you’ll somehow see Wyatt showing up to be there for you.
Needless to say, none of you are all that pleased with the way the school dance is turning out. Still, you’re going to show up out of responsibility. The three of you arrive at Seabrook High with low expectations, and even the twinkling lights and dashing pastel decorations can’t win you over. The dance could be taking place in the most detailed mansion and you’d still be thinking about the one person you want there more than anything.
The music is good, though, and you’re almost able to distract yourself from thoughts of wishing your boyfriend was there by dancing with Addison and Bree. All of a sudden, Addison taps your shoulder, her entire face rewritten with shock.
“Am I dreaming, or does the Prawn suddenly have a few new arrivals?”
You follow her line of sight to see a group of people racing towards the doors to the school. Your heart leaps when you realize that it’s a group of monsters, Wyatt at the front. They’re all dressed to the nines, and stroll right past the chaperones trying to keep them out like the angry yells were nothing more than flies. It might be the most wonderful sight of your entire life.
You run up to him, unable to stop yourself from spending a single second not by his side now that you have him for real.
“You came!” You say, delight spiraling through the syllables.
“Of course I did,” Wyatt replies, “did you really think I could ever leave my girl without a date?”
You laugh. “Not if you had a say in it. Although, not that I’m sad to see you, but I swear you didn’t have any say in this at all.”
Wyatt gives an easy shrug. “I’d like to see them stand in my way. Change doesn’t happen through silent compliance, you know. Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe is right, and I know this is right.”
You beam at him. “I’m just glad that you’re here.”
Wyatt smiles back at you. “I’m glad to be here too. Trust me.”
He pauses a moment, then taps the necklace hanging in the hollow of your throat. “Although I am glad to see that you wore that even without knowing I’d be there.”
You follow his line of sight and understand what he means. Wyatt gave you a moonstone necklace identical to his about a week ago. You’ve treasured it ever since. When you found out that Wyatt wouldn’t be able to come to the school dance, it only made sense to bring some part of him there in his stead. In your opinion, the moonstone necklace did perfectly. It’s good to know that Wyatt agrees.
“I just wanted to feel like I wouldn’t be alone here,” you whisper.
Wyatt takes your hand. “Of course you’re not alone.”
He starts to guide you towards the groups of dancers in the center of the room, but the two of you have only begun moving when he stumbles. Wyatt is excellent at keeping up the charade of perfect health in front of most people, but you see straight through it and realize that he’s not nearly as infallible as he usually claims to be.
Eyes alight with worry, you reach for his hand. “What’s wrong? You look like you’re about to pass out.”
Wyatt grins weakly. “I don’t think that’s the best compliment you’ve ever paid me, but I’ll take it as a sign that you care about me.”
Your eyes narrow. “Wyatt. An explanation would be nice.”
Wyatt sighs. “Alright, alright. We still can’t find the moonstone and it’s wearing on all of us. Look at Wynter, she can barely stand. We’re here as a show of strength, but we’ve got almost nothing left.”
You must look horrified, because he squeezes your hand and tries to stand up straighter. “Look, it’s alright. There’s nothing we can do about it anymore, and I’d rather have this night with you be worth something than spend the next few hours wondering about some mystery we can no longer solve.”
You pull him close under the guise of starting a new slow dance. “Just stay with me, Wyatt.”
It’s a promise neither of you can expect, but Wyatt agrees with it anyway. “Always.”
He starts to say something else, but his words are cut off by a loud cracking sound issuing from the ground nearby. It seems almost like thunder, but there are no storm clouds in sight. Instead, what you find is a massive divide splitting the ground nearby in half.
Addison finds you in the chaos, Zed right behind her. “It’s an earthquake,” she says, “Look, the ground is completely hollowed away underneath.”
Your brow furrows. “It looks almost like a tunnel.”
Wyatt nods slowly, eyes wide. “Yeah, and it’s glowing. Like a moonstone.”
Willa pushes her way through the crowds to reach your party, Wynter right behind her. “You guys are seeing this too, right? There’s no way the moonstone isn’t down there.”
Bree claps a hand over her mouth. “What are we going to do?”
You extend a hand towards the fissure in the ground. “Find the moonstone, obviously. We have to move fast, though. I don’t know how much time you guys have left.”
As if to prove your point, Wynter doubles over in a fit of coughs that leave her shaking and spent.
Wyatt nods grimly. “Let’s move.”
Thus your group descends into the earth in search of a mystical power source none of you truly know will be there. The only thing you can do at this point is hope that it will be here, or this trip with the werewolves might be their last.
In the end, though, you don’t have to fear. Zed manages to clear away some heavy rubble and you stumble upon a partially collapsed room, moonstone intact in the center. Wyatt and the other werewolves race towards it, and you swear you can practically see them come to life again as their moonstones are recharged. Wyatt turns back to you, triumphant, but as you watch his smile drops in an instant.
He holds up a trembling hand to point at the necklace he gave you. “Y/N, your moonstone. It’s glowing.”
It makes no sense, but you look anyway and he’s right. The small shard of stone at your throat is a bright pearlescent shade, and sends refractions of light dancing over your skin.
“That makes no sense,” you try to argue, “it should only glow if I was–”
Your words are swallowed up abruptly by the shock of your realization. Wyatt finishes the thought for you anyway, although it’s kind of pointless. Everyone in that room is thinking the exact same thing.
“If you were a werewolf,” he concludes.
You shake your head slowly. “No, that’s impossible. I would know if I were a werewolf.”
Willa shrugs. “I mean, your town didn’t even know about werewolves until we showed up. Surely it’s not that impossible to assume that you wouldn’t figure it out until now.”
Wyatt shoots his sister a look, muttering something about a poor bedside manner under his breath, then extends a hand to you. “We can test this. Come here, see if you can charge the necklace.”
You may not trust whatever is going on with your necklace and the moonstone, but you do trust Wyatt, so you take his hand and allow him to lead you over. You press your necklace to the moonstone just as he did. The second you do, you feel this rush of something wash over you. It feels like power. It feels like coming home.
Wyatt whistles under his breath. “I think that means you’re a werewolf.”
Addison nods. “Your eyes are glowing just like Wyatt’s. It’s true.”
You let out a shaky laugh. “Well, this really wasn’t the way I was expecting tonight to end.”
Wyatt’s eyes fill with concern. “But you’re not unhappy about it, right?”
This time, your voice is more sure. “No, I’m not. This is a good thing, Wyatt. A very good thing.”
And why would it not be good? This means you have a pack, an entirely new family to stand behind you when you need it most. You have your boyfriend, you have a fascinating future opening up in front of you. No, you could not be more happy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ So, cuddling with Wyatt. That's prbably the best thing that can happen to you- and him.
~ He LOVES the feeling of having you in his arms, he feels like he can protect you from everything that way.
~ He would cuddle with you in any position- spoons, face to face, you can ask for anything and you'll get it.
~ After he's hunting, he has a lot of adrenalin, so he comes to you- you're pretty much the only one who can calm him. So, after he's hunting, you find yourself in your bed with his head on your chest- your heartbeats calm him, and he feels safe at last.
~ Also the perfect way for you to fall asleep in the winter- his body is so warm you forget everything about how cold it is outside. And he feels like he can MELT right there when you cuddle closer to him to keep your warmth. dw, Willa took a picture of his face for you ;)
~ I feel like Wyatt is a sucker for calming you when you have a nightmare. If you cuddle at night you’ll probably fall asleep in his arms- which he LOVES- and he’ll notice it when you start act like you’re having a nightmare. So he’ll wake you up, let you cry into his chest for a while, bring you water and help you calm down so you can sleep again. he swears he never been so thankful like when you fall asleep again and have no nightmares.
~ You do the same when he has nightmares.
~ As I said, our dear Wyatt LOVES it when you fall asleep in his arms. It makes him feel like you feel safe enough with him and trust him enough to know he’ll keep you safe in your sleep- which he definitely does.
~ Your parents walked in to check on you and Wyatt, and found you sleeping in his arms, when you look more peaceful than they ever seen you and he looks at you like you’re the most precious thing he ever saw. They took TONES of pictures.
~ Wyatt will make you feel like you and him are the only people on earth, look into your eyes and play with your hair until you’ll cuddle closer to him and whisper, ‘I love you, Wyatt” in the most adorable voice ever. Of course he’ll smile instantly and say, “I love you too, Y\N” and kiss your hair.
~ You’re cuddling EVERYWHERE. You needed to explain people why you’re late too many times. none of them will ever forget this, and they’ll tease you for YEARS after this. But it’s understandable, because his puppy eyes are WAY too irresistible.
~ Whenever you’re in the wolves’ cave, you play with the puppies before cuddling with Wyatt. Long story short, you wake up and find yourself cuddling between all of the puppies AND Wyatt. The rest of the pack found it very funny.
~ His fav position is spoons. When he’s the big spoon, he feels like he’s protecting you from everything, and he can be sure you’re safe and right by his side all night. When he’s the little spoon, he feel like he can finally relax. He cares a lot about his pack, obviously, so when he’s between your arms, feeling your heart beating on his back, he feels like he can relax- like he’s safe, and the pack is safe, and he can finally calm down.
~ Speaking of which, you’re the first person who made him sleep all night. He’s a wolf, so his sleep is very light, but with you he sleeps deeply and all night long. You make him feel safe enough to fall asleep like a kid, and Willa is very thankful for that. Her brother haven’t slept so well in YEARS.
~ Just cuddle with this boi whenever you can. It’s amazing.
