Has anyone else noticed they're unable to change their nicknames in servers?

I know they added an ability to filter words from nicknames (ie prevent people from using certain words in their nicknames), but even in my own personal server, after giving myself permission to seemingly everything necessary, I'm unable to change my nickname

I'm wondering if it's just a Me thing I need to talk to discord about, or if maybe it's a bug that happened when they rolled out their "have custom profiles for every server!" thing, because presumably nicknames are not bundled in with that considering i can see the nickname text field outside of the "get nitro" thing.
