Dreamworldgirl Zine is a brand new and independent multimedia zine for all things girlhood. Featuring women and non-binary writers, artists and creatives, DG Zine hosts a space for whimsicality, a space where everyone is free to reject traditional literary conventions and reclaim their identities.

Our summer 2024 issue is called DIY, and it will be published in print with a free digital accompaniment. Also: subs are currently open! You can send your work to dreamworldgirlzine@gmail.com, and you are allowed three submissions max across all mediums. That's right! You can submit ANYTHING to DG Zine: prose and poetry, non-fiction essays, opinion articles, photography, fashion design, playlists, musings, song lyrics, art, etc., For more information and specific details, please refer to our Linktree.

While we are mostly active on Instagram (@dreamworldgirlzine), our Tumblr will be a place for updates, sneak peeks and building community. Here's some progress on my patch pants. These are a pair of old work pants that used to be my brother's, they've got some pretty good pockets! ✧d(•̀ v•̀ )

There's still more patches to add, and still some holes and stains I'd like to cover up, but I think they're coming along quite nicely! (๑^ω^๑) <3

Future jacket plans + how it currently looks from the back and worn on me as of right now.

At the moment I’m taking a break from making new band patches and instead focusing on non music related details of the jacket. I’ve made heaps of trinkets, or found some secondhand that I want to sew on so they hang off and jangle. It’s gonna be soooo noisy and busy to wear.

i made this dress myself on my vintage singer sewing machine ❤️🎀 i used fabric scraps from a curtain, tablecloth, and a satin dress. this is the first garment i’ve sewed, it’s far from perfect and took me much longer than it should have (my creative process is heavily based on trial and error lol) but it’s so wonderful and satisfying to have a dress i made for free with my own two hands ✨🌿

will definitely be making more of my own summer clothes this year! ☀️
