What Your Favorite Sanders Sides Ship Says About You
Inspired by Eldena Doubleca5t's excellent series!
Prinxiety: You are a firm believer in the inherent eroticism of getting dunked on. Also, you probably watched BBC Merlin at some point.
Analogical: Your ideal relationship dynamic is two cats on opposite ends of the same couch.
Anxceit: Your addiction to edgy boys got so bad that one day you decided: [spongebob meme] What’s better than ONE edgy boy? TWO edgy boys!
Dukexiety: I’m not saying you for sure see a therapist, but I am saying with as much love as possible, that maybe you should.
Moxiety: You are touch starved. You don't want to be hugged, you want to use another human being as a weighted blanket.
Logicality: Your ideal relationship dynamic is sitcom wife x sitcom husband.
Intruality: Either "I can fix him" or "I can make him worse" depending on which side you're projecting on
Royality: Your ideal relationship dynamic is himbo x himbo, and you have so much ADHD.
Remrom: 🚨 FBI OPEN UP 🚨
Logince: How's that crush on your much more extroverted best friend going?
Intrulogical: Looking back on your childhood, you can pinpoint The Master from Doctor Who as the beginning of your crippling addiction to the most unhinged characters known to fiction.
Lociet: Half of you came here from shipping L and Light in Death Note, and half of you came here from shipping Sherlock and Moriarty in BBC Sherlock.
Dukeciet: You are a firm believer in the inherent eroticism of committing arson together.
Roceit: Your ideal relationship dynamic is just that tumblr post that's like "go fuck yourself" "fuck me yourself, coward."
Mociet: I'm not saying you for sure have daddy issues, but I am saying I would be surprised if you didn't
LAMP/DLAMP(polycule): You don’t like to make decisions.
Nicomas: And, finally, you are a firm believer in keeping things canon and keeping things wholesome. You just want good things for Thomas, and really, who wouldn't?

i love DLAMP as a dynamic however i find it viscerally boring when theyre all boyfriends that have a completely normal relationship but also boring when they are just besties. i need them to be Insane and weird.
moceit is in an on-and-off again that could be straight out of a sitcom with how bullshit the dramatics are. they are so divorced and also married. this somehow does not effect the rest of the polycule.
janus keeps trying to break up analogical. virgil and logan both think this is him flirting. this pisses virgil off, and makes logan blush. logan and janus have made out abt this before. virgil and janus almost did but virgil panicked, bit him, and ran away.
moxiety and royality are both very VERY cute qprs. prinxiety arent dating or a qpr but they do occasionally make out. usually after sparring or after heated arguments. no one knows why, and no one plans to ask.
virgil one time, for sillies put out official polycule roles for everyone on the fridge. patton was the cook, roman was twink, janus was gender transer, and logan was tax-filer, before virgil scratched it out and replaced it with "poor little meow meow". the chaos after shouldve been expected.
(janus's official role is Gender Transer bc her being genderfluid made both virgil (bigender, she/he) and logan (transfem, they/she) realize they may Not Be Cis.)
remus isnt in the polycule but he has Something going on with every non-roman member of the polycule. no one can quantify exactly what, but it is Something. roman covers his ears and goes "LALALALA" when anyone brings this up.
roman AND janus both have an official Boyfriend Leaderboard. they are both permanently at the top of each others leaderboards because "mutually assured destruction". somehow, this causes very few problems.
remy has had a Thing with all of them. all of them really want to ask abt adding him to the polycule, but none of them know abt remys Things with the others so they dont know if its appropriate yet. remy knows and finds this fucking hilarious.

OK SO I JUST HAD THIS SANDERS SIDES FIC IDEA
So. Urban fantasy/superpower AU, and Virgil can see into the future. Not far, and not for very long, but it's there. One night, he sees himself at a party of Roman's for some reason, and despite everything, he feels like he needs to go. So, he's at the party, just standing around awkwardly, and nothing really happens. Maybe Roman gives him a look every now and then, but all in all, nothing happens. Virgil feels like something was supposed to happen, so he goes to the party. And the next, and the next, and the next. Nothing's really changed, he's there at the back of the party, just. Watching.
Until one night, Virgil decides to stop. Maybe he's not feeling great, or maybe he's decided that what he saw already happened and he was just there for no reason. Either way, he doesn't show up at the party and just stays home.
Cue someone (I thought of it as Roman but it can really be anyone, even all of them if you wish) showing up at Virgil's house because Virgil's shown up every time and without him "I don't really feel safe at the party."
(bonus points if they come back and see something bad's happened at the party, so in a way, Virgil did save them)

Sanders Sides Co-Writing Fun
Hello this is @yomica12345. There might already be some fanders already doing this but I haven't found them if they are. I just thought it would be fun to create a side blog as a space to unite sanders sides fanfiction writers who would like to find others to write with.
I'm hoping it will help inspire those who are in all sorts of positions. Those who may be suffering with writers block and would just like someone to bounce ideas off of or are looking for a proof reader. Those who think it would be fun to co-write with someone but don't know where to look for that person to write with. Those who have ideas but aren't sure where to start and could use some guidance. And maybe those looking for writing prompts specific to the sides or those who would like to offer prompts from ideas they might have themselves.
Basically I want this blog to be a safe place for fanders who love writing fanfiction and fanders who love reading fanfiction. I'm not sure how to organize things just yet but if it seems enough writers are interested in this idea then I'll get a discord running and I'll start setting things up. If you're interested in participating in anything I've mentioned whether it be writing, reading or collaborating please like and reblog this post. The more people I see wanting to get involved the more I'll take this seriously. If you have any questions you can ask them in the comments or through my ask box. Thanks in advance for any support you might offer this post <3

Starlight and Swordfights
----
Virgil's partners think he's incapable of doing the smallest things for himself. Finally he gets the chance to prove himself in the biggest way possible.
----
| Ao3 |
Warnings: Injury, weapons, animal death (nongraphic)
Pairings: DLAMP
Word Count: 1240
Notes:
My final camp cartoon fic! Thanks for the experience! I'm going to go crawl into a hole and not come out for a month now (not serious, I still have prinxiety week to do now, shudders)
"Virgil hates being coddled, but the others do it anyways. It is only whrn Virgil saves the others from a dangerous situation that they see just how capable Virgil can be (even if he freaks out about doing a phone call)" - For @thatdesolatefander and @tss-camp-and-coffee
I may have taken it a little more fantasy au than originally intended, I hope that's okay!
----
"Careful Virge!" Patton chirped, taking the knife from Virgil's hands swiftly and taking over cutting the vegetables for their dinner. Virgil huffed.
"Pat-"
"No no! Don't worry Vee- I've got it!"
Virgil sighed, knowing there was no point in arguing with Patton, and moving on to find something else to do.
----
"Oh! Virgil! Would you like me to get that for you?" Said Roman, already reaching up to grab the books Virgil had been reaching for, despite the fact that Roman was shorter than him. Was Virgil not allowed to get his own books these days?
"You know I hate it when you do that, Princey," Virgil hissed, taking the books, "I could've gotten them myself."
"I know, it's just nice to help," Roman smiled softly, not even realising how annoyed Virgil really was.
----
"Let me, dear," Janus said, pulling Virgil's hands away from his face, grabbing a washcloth and dabbing gently at his messed up makeup. Virgil wished he didn't feel so much like he was being treated like a child after a tantrum so he could relax into the comforting cool feeling after he'd cried.
"Thanks, Jan," Virgil grumbled, not actually grateful at all.
----
"Are you alright, Virgil?" Logan asked, already sitting down next to Virgil on the window seat as he watched the storm rage outside. He was peaceful here, Virgil loved storms.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine," Virgil said, confused as Logan wrapped a blanket around him and pressed a hot drink into his hands.
"These items are supposed to help in times of distress," Logan said, sitting across form him, "I will keep you company until the storm passes."
They thought he was scared, Virgil realised abruptly, and his good mood caused by the storm soured abruptly.
----
"We just don't want you to get hurt, that's all, kiddo," Patton said softly when Virgil got angry about once again being left behind with his mage boyfriends were sent on yet another mission. To fight some kind of dragon and retrieve a stolen magical object from a nearby town, from what Virgil could gather.
He was tired of this. Tired of the constant belittlement and coddling, He didn't care for it in the slightest. The others treated him like he was made of glass because of the way they had met in the first place - when he had been a scared, imprisoned elf in an orc dungeon, malnourished and weak.
Could they not see that he had gotten stronger since then? It had been years ago that he had joined their ranks, and he'd been a powerful warrior for longer than some of them had been alive. And yet, they still thought he was that weak, frail being in need of protection that they had rescued all that time ago.
"I just- I have a bad feeling about this, guys," Virgil said, trying to stay civil even as he drew himself up to his full height, "It would bring me peace of mind if you let me come with you."
"Sorry my darling," Roman said, the bravest of the group as he stepped up onto his toes to kiss Virgil's cheek.
"You're too precious of a treasure to risk," Janus said, his words hissing just a little, his snake scales glittering. Virgil sighed.
"Fine," He said, "I'll stay here."
They didn't need to know that he planned to do fully the opposite.
----
Once they had left on their journey, Virgil had immediately retreated upstairs. he set about pulling on his set of celestial armour - plating spun from light gathered from the moon and stars themselves, reserved for the very best of elven warriors - and picking up his starlight sword, which had sat unused in his closet for years now.
He polished it, sharpened it, and then wen ton his way. He took their last horse, his own, and began to make his way, following his lover's trail the whole time. He was determined to prove them wrong.
The bad feeling never ebbed, in fact it only grew stronger as he got closer. In the end, he was glad to have come.
---
This mission was falling apart.
Roman hadn't quite anticipated just how strong the dragon would be. The four of them were good fighters. Roman skilled in weaponry, Janus and Logan skilled in magic and Patton a practised healer. They made a good team, enough to get out of most battles without serious injuries.
"Patton!" Roman cried out as his partner was knocked out, slumping against the cave wall.
The rest of them really weren't fairing all that much better. Roman's armour was scorched and he had some wounds that would most definitely need professional healing. Logan was trying his best to tend to Patton's wounds whist Janus was trying his best to keep up the fight with Roman.
Roman thought they were going to have to retreat. They were really doing nothing to the dragon, it barely even seemed phased by their attacks. They were all injured, and Patton most certainly needed to see a doctor. They might even have to admit defeat on this mission if they couldn't find another few warriors to return with them to defeat this dragon.
He had been about to call a retreat when a new figure joined the scene.
They were tall, dressed helmet to boots in armour made from a dark metal that seemed to glitter in a way that reminded Roman of the night sky. A white plume topped their helmet and black gloves and underclothes obscured their dark skin. Their face was hidden by the helmet. They didn't speak, they didn't even look at the four of them, fixated on the dragon as they wielded a great sword of the same metal as their armour.
The fight was swift, Roman watched as they took down the dragon with apparent ease where the four of them together had failed, wielding magic and sword together to take the dragon down in a flurry of blows.
The beast was finally defeated, and the figure stepped forward to take the golden hourglass that the four of them had been fighting for.
They turned back, looking near-divine in formidably standing in front of the defeated dragon and it's hoard, practically glowing with an ethereal, Roman couldn't help the way he rushed forward, bowing to who he thought was a stranger.
"You saved us," Roman said, eyes on their feet, "How could we repay you?"
The figure reached up to take off his helmet, revealing a familiar face, dark skin, white hair, purple smears under his violet eyes, pointed ears and a smattering of white freckles across his face. Virgil.
"You could start," Virgil said, "By not treating me like I can't handle myself."
"...Wow," Janus said softly, "Where - where did you learn all of that, Virgil?"
"I've been a warrior longer than you've been alive," Virgil told him, handing Roman the hourglass and his helmet, and then handing Janus his sword as he went over to scoop Patton into his arms, "Come on, you all need a doctor."
The small group followed Virgil out of the cave, softly talking amongst themselves in amazement and wonder at Virgil's practically ethereal form, suddenly seeing him in a whole other light. It was impossibly to think about treating Virgil the way they had been after witnessing that display of pure power and strength.
Roman didn't know how they could've possibly misjudged their Virgil so badly.

Rosettahart's Masterpost
This is my master post which should contain all my current multi-chapter fics and a few of my one shots. My Ao3 however should have all the works I have ever done. I only write Sanders Sides fanfics so if that's what you're looking for then I hope there's something for you you here in my personal master post. (Also I would be open to requests for certain dynamics for one shots for the sanders sides characters if that's something anyone would like)

Glass-says:
Virgil’s best friend, Patton, isn’t exactly alive—he’s a ghost. But he’s no ordinary spirit. While Virgil is the only one who can hear and feel him, Patton’s ghostly form only becomes visible when someone wears his old glasses. So far, Virgil has kept Patton’s existence a secret, but secrets don’t stay hidden forever. And as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat…

Roman Prince didn’t plan on walking home in the rain after his first hero fight, dressed only in his boxers, mask, and boots. And he certainly hadn’t expected his invisibility to give out on him while he was either. But that’s what happens when you’re stuck sharing your powers with your troublesome twin.

Spying on our Thoughts:
In a world where soulmates can hear each other’s thoughts when close enough, three spies—Patton, Roman, and Logan—are assigned to infiltrate a dangerous mafia trio: Janus "The Serpent" Deangelo, Virgil "The Viper" Storm, and Remus "The Rattler" Prince. Their mission is clear: gather intel, uncover the mafia's secrets, and take them down from within.
But things quickly spiral out of control when the spies discover that the mafia members are, in fact, their soulmates. Now, they must juggle their undercover roles with the delicate challenge of keeping their soulmate connections a secret—not just from the mafia, but from the agency they work for. Every shared thought is a risk, every moment of closeness an opportunity for their identities to be exposed.
As thoughts cross wires and secrets are whispered across minds, Patton, Roman, and Logan must navigate a whirlwind of misunderstandings, awkward moments, and unexpected emotional connections. With their mission on the line and the danger of exposure ever-present, the three spies are caught between their duty and their hearts in Spying on Our Thoughts—a story of secrets, lies, and soulmates who can’t seem to stay apart.

Dimensional:
Virgil didn’t choose to become Thomas’s anxiety, and he certainly didn’t choose to be teleported between dimensions. Every jump thrusts him into a world where the counterparts of the sides he knows are often unfamiliar, unpredictable, and sometimes hostile. These encounters have left Virgil guarded, unwilling to share his struggles with anyone.
But the constant isolation and burden of being the only Virgil across dimensions are taking their toll. As tensions rise and unexpected alliances form, Virgil faces a choice: keep suffering in silence or find a way to connect, heal, and bridge the gaps between the fractured pieces of himself and the others.

Storms, Lies and Coronets:
Prince Logan, betrothed to Prince Patton for political reasons, finds his heart belonging to Prince Virgil, a prince who fears the weight of the crown he’s meant to inherit in the kingdom of Mistwyn. As Logan helps Virgil escape to his own kingdom, their growing feelings for one another become increasingly complicated. Meanwhile, Logan’s older brothers, Prince Roman and Prince Remus, are locked in a fierce competition for the crown. The kingdom’s rule goes to whichever brother finds a partner to marry first, making the stakes higher than ever. Amidst this, Prince Janus, who has a long-standing rivalry with Roman, sneaks into Roman’s kingdom to steal something of value to use as leverage against him. However, his plan backfires when Roman catches him and forces him to spy on himself for Roman’s benefit. In a surprising twist, Roman seems less interested in the crown and more in winning Janus’s heart, leaving Janus to battle his own feelings as his rivalry with Roman shifts into something unexpected. As love, ambition, and loyalty intertwine, the princes' fates become more tangled than they could ever have imagined.

Anyone can help me find a DLAMP fic here where Janus is super smooth and flirts with the sides and gets very surprised at the end when they flirt back? I remember it had a scene where Janus is reciting Shakespeare with Roman and Roman is all flustered, if that helps. Not an AU.

Friends? (pt 1 Logan /4)
Soulmates? (Unhappy Accidents): Part 1, Part 2
Friends?: •, Patton, Roman, Part 4
Word count: 2595
Rating: teen
Pairings: platonic Analogical, Anxceitmus, background Royalogicality
Warnings: anxiety, strained relationships
~~~START~~~
My apologies, but I am running fifteen minutes late
Virgil felt his heart rate spike just from reading the text. Logan was considerate enough to text him forty minutes before they were supposed to meet up, but Virgil was already almost to his destination. Now forty-five minutes early.
Ever since the accident two months ago, just being in a car was enough to give him a panic attack. Even when he was walking sometimes if a car was coming his way, no matter how slowly or how far away, he’d freeze up in fear, praying it would stop before it ran him over. It was so bad that even when he took the bus — somehow the least stressful form of transportation for him — he had to have his head buried in his phone the whole time, lest he notice a car outside slightly too close for comfort.
Knowing how public transportation was, coupled with an anxious desire to be slightly early, Virgil had given himself a half hour cushion time, none of which had been used up.
He could still go to the café he and Logan had planned to meet at, but then he’d be faced with a dilemma, order a drink and wait out the time, or wait out the time without ordering anything. If he ordered a drink, he’d likely finish it before Logan got there and would then either awkwardly not have a drink while Logan got his own drink, or order a second drink and risk getting too wired. But if he ordered nothing and just hung out, he’d feel like the employees would hate him, he’d be taking up space without actually funding the function of said space — which was basically trespassing.
Virgil spent the final ten minutes of his bus ride in an anxiety spiral.
Caffeine was definitely out of the question, and Virgil was beginning to resign himself to the employees hating him when he noticed a bookstore right next to the café. A bookstore was perfect! He could kill time without feeling like a nuisance.
He ended up wandering the bookstore thinking more about how he got here than the books themselves.
A couple weeks before the accident, he’d been laid off from his job, and then after the accident, he could barely stand to leave the house at all. He’d never had many friends, and then he was only ever talking to Janus and Remus — except for that one day when they’d gone to Remus’s brother’s house to talk to Virgil and Janus’s soulmates…
He hadn’t wanted to contact them afterwards — not because they didn’t seem nice, but because he thought Janus and Remus might be upset. He thought Janus would be upset because he hated the concept of soulmates and only accepted Virgil because they’d been together for years before either of them had known about the connection; and he thought Remus might be upset because of how insecure he was about both his brother and the topic of soulmates.
In the end, it was Janus who snapped at him to “stop looking like a kicked puppy and call them if it means so much to you!”
He’d decided to start with Logan because he seemed to be the one that Remus liked best. Logan had been quite amenable — to use his words — to hanging out explicitly in a friendship capacity and had suggested a café halfway between Virgil’s home and Logan’s university.
Five minutes before Logan was set to arrive, Virgil entered the café with a small bag from the bookstore containing a book on snakes and a toy octopus whose eyes popped out of its head when you squeezed it — he couldn’t just leave the store empty handed after wandering around it for so long. Virgil sat at a table, and exactly fifteen minutes after their previously scheduled meeting time, Logan Sanders walked through the door.
Logan was wearing a crisp black polo shirt and a blue tie, leaving Virgil feeling awkwardly underdressed in his well-worn hoodie — which he had luckily not been wearing the day of the accident.
“Hello Virgil,” Logan greeted him, making a beeline straight for Virgil’s table rather than the counter to order. “I hope I did not inconvenience you too much.”
“Uh, no, it’s all good,” Virgil shrugged awkwardly.
“Ah, I see you have already discovered the bookstore next door,” Logan observed, gesturing to the bag on the table. “I suppose my undiscussed idea to go there after coffee can be crossed off the list of potential activities.”
Virgil’s face grew hot. Of course Logan had plans beyond coffee, and of course those plans involved books! How could Virgil be so stupid!
“S-sorry,” Virgil managed to stutter over the staccato of his heart. “I didn't mean to ruin your plans.”
“Not at all,” Logan waved him off. “I did not discuss my idea with you, and I had no expectations that you were a mind reader. There are plenty of other activities around here, the bookstore is just one thought of many. Have you ordered yet?”
“Um, no, I was waiting for you.”
“Excellent! Then allow me to treat you, as remuneration for my tardiness.”
“Isn’t anticipating your thoughts supposed to be one of those soulmate things?” Virgil asked as they got in line, still hung up on the bookstore.
“Not at all. In fact, I find open and explicit communication to be much more effective than relying on some sort of soulmate-driven precognition — heaven knows that if I tried to anticipate Roman or Patton’s desires without speaking to either of them first that I would, at least half the time, be wrong.”
“Right,” Virgil answered, still somewhat skeptical.
“And even if that were not the case,” Logan continued. “You have met me on two separate occasions, and on neither of those occasions did my love of books come up.”
Virgil couldn’t press the matter further — not that he particularly wanted to — as they were the next to order. Virgil ordered a plain coffee with cream and sugar since it would be the cheapest option, while Logan ordered a surprisingly foofy drink.
“Roman called my order of a black coffee ‘boring’ and insisted I try this once,” Logan explained after he’d paid, noticing Virgil’s raised eyebrow. “I am quite hooked.”
Virgil shrugged, fair enough. Remus had certainly turned him onto his fair share of odd orders over the years.
“So, what else is there to do around here?” Virgil asked as they waited for their orders. He had expected coffee to be the entire thing, he hadn’t put any thought into other activities.
“There are quite a few stores we could look at, including an odd gift shop and a music store that has quite an impressive array; there are also three different museums in the area, an aquarium if you don’t mind a slightly longer walk, and a park. I am, of course, open to any other suggestions you may have, but these are the things I know about.” As Logan spoke, Virgil looked for any twitch in his face, any tone in his voice that might suggest which option was his preferred one, but Logan’s genuine demeanor gave nothing away. He sounded just as interested in one option as the next, it seemed it was up to Virgil to choose which one he wanted to do.
“A music store sounds good,” Virgil said, somewhat noncommittally so he could change his answer if Logan seemed disappointed.
Logan’s face lit up. “Excellent. The music store it is.”
Coffee in hand, Virgil followed Logan down the street and around the corner to a music store absolutely stuffed with CDs, vinyl, and cassette tapes. The sheer amount of stuff in such a relatively small space was overwhelming.
“I know that not everyone is a fan of structured time,” Logan said as Virgil took in the organized chaos. “And I certainly respect if all you would like to do is casually look around, but I have a suggestion if you’d like to have an activity.”
“Yeah, activity is good,” Virgil shrugged, shoving his free hand into his pocket to hide his nerves.
“In the interest of full disclosure, this activity is adapted from one of Roman’s favorite date night activities, but I do not believe that there is anything inherently romantic about the activity itself.”
“Sure.” From what Virgil knew about Roman, romance was kinda his thing, so whether or not this activity would cross any of Virgil’s boundaries — and whether or not Virgil would let it — was now another entry on Virgil’s list of worries.
“When Roman, Patton and I are here, we are each tasked with finding an album for one of our partners that combines our musical tastes with theirs. I do not know your musical tastes and I do not believe you know mine, so if you’d like, I suggest a music exchange where I will find you an album that I feel is important to me, and you find an album important for you.”
“Important how?” Virgil asked nervously. Logan was right that this wasn’t inherently romantic, but music was something that could get intensely personal very quickly and Virgil was not ready to bear his soul to Logan.
“In any way you choose to interpret it,” Logan answered. “It could be something your parents liked to listen to when you were young, it could be an album that has your favorite song on it, it could be something you pretended to hate in middle school; you do not have to justify your reasoning to me, I merely thought this could be an enjoyable icebreaker, so to speak.”
“Uh, yeah, sure,” Virgil shrugged, mind already racing with possibilities. “Sounds good.”
“Excellent! Let us reconvene in ten minutes, unless you feel like you need more time, of course.”
“Sure.”
It took Virgil a couple minutes to figure out the layout of the store, and then the whole rest of the allotted time was spent trying to choose an album that he knew well enough to justify its importance, but he was emotionally removed enough from that Logan wouldn’t be able to read too much into it. When he finally ran out of time, he panicked and grabbed a CD of The Black Parade — an album he was decidedly not emotionally removed from — before rushing to meet Logan back at the front of the store.
“Hello Virgil, did you find something?” Logan asked, Virgil had noticed him wandering around the store too, but he didn’t look nearly as anxious as Virgil felt — what if Logan hated emo music and decided never to talk to Virgil again?
“Yeah…” Virgil fiddled with the plastic case in his hands. “It’s stupid.”
“No such thing,” Logan replied, matter-of-factly. “If you asked Patton to do this, he would likely bring you a CD from the television program Arthur; Roman would likely choose multiple CDs as one would not be enough; I do not consider either of these choices to be ‘stupid’.”
“The… the children’s cartoon?”
“Yes.”
“…okay. Uh, here,” Virgil shoved the MCR CD at him. “Is that how this works?”
“Thank you, Virgil. This one is for you.”
Logan handed him a CD of 8 Mile. Virgil blinked at it. People could like any genre, of course, but Logan did not strike him as a rap guy.
“This is the first thing I bought when I got my first paycheck,” Logan explained.
“C-cool,” Virgil shifted uncomfortably, he hadn’t offered an explanation for his choice, and he wouldn’t unless Logan asked for one, but he still felt like he was failing at something. “Um, what do we do now?”
“We can look around some more if you would like. I do not mind if you don’t buy the CD, picking one out was just meant to be a small activity.”
“No, it’s cool. I, uh, I don’t have this one.” Logan smiled and the knot in Virgil’s chest loosened a little. Logan didn’t hate him and he wasn’t completely bombing this social interaction.
Virgil and Logan spent almost an hour looking around the store together and discussing music. Virgil did end up buying 8 Mile, as well as a couple albums for himself; Logan bought The Black Parade. After the music store, they actually did go back to the bookstore so Logan could purchase a few items from his personal wishlist.
“Where did you park?” Logan asked as they were wrapping up at the bookstore.
“I didn’t. I took the bus here.” Virgil had actually been enjoying himself, to the point where he’d completely forgotten that he'd need to take the bus home, but now that thought was at the forefront of his mind. He needed to look up the bus schedule.
“Ah, well if you would like, I could drive you home.” Virgil knew he’d been trying to be friendly, to help Virgil get home quicker, but Virgil's heart still tried to leap out of his chest at the suggestion.
“No thanks!” He said, much too quickly. “I mean, it’s fine, I like the bus.”
Logan gave him a strange look, but nodded anyway. “If that is what you wish.”
“Yeah. Uh, bye.”
“Goodbye Virgil, I hope the rest of your day is satisfactory.”
“Yeah, you too.”
^(^.^)^
Virgil's heart didn’t stop pounding until he was off the bus, standing a block down from his building. Logan’s innocent suggestion to take a car had put Virgil so on edge that his phone was barely enough to keep him from having a panic attack on the bus.
Much to his surprise, Janus and Remus were both sitting at the apartment’s kitchen table when he finally made it up to his floor. Remus’s head whipped around to stare at him with the most heartbreakingly anxious look in his eye while Janus stayed staring straight ahead, a tightening around his eyes was the only indication he’d noticed Virgil’s arrival.
“Um, hey,” Virgil waved at Remus awkwardly, hoping that would be enough to get his boyfriend to stop staring at him like that.
“You’re back late,” Janus commented, still not looking at him.
Virgil frowned. “Sorry, mom, I didn’t realize I had a curfew.”
Janus’s fingers twitched around the coffee mug he was holding.
“Damn right you do, young man!” Remus said suddenly, slightly too loud and with a forced-playful look in his eye. “Your mother and I have been worried sick!”
Virgil rolled his eyes and tried to get a handle on his temper. “I got you both something.”
He tossed the octopus at Remus and set the book down in front of Janus, more forcefully than necessary. Janus stared at the book, taken aback; Remus put the octopus in his mouth and shook it like a dog with a toy.
“Thanks, Virgie!” Remus said after spitting the now wet toy into his hand. “Love you!”
“Love you too.” Most of the anxiousness had drained from Remus’s face, and the rest disappeared at Virgil’s words.
Janus pulled the book to him and tapped his fingers on the cover a few times before speaking. “And how was Logan?”
“Fine,” Virgil answered quickly. “Good. It was good. Nice to hangout with someone as a friend — been a while… since I’ve had a friend.”
With every word, Virgil could feel himself losing confidence, but when he was done, Janus turned to him with a soft look in his eye.
“Good, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.”
Tension he hadn’t even known he’d been holding drained out of Virgil’s shoulders as he returned Janus’s smile.
“Yeah, it was good.”
~~~END~~~
I love writing Logan, he can just explain everything without the dialog reading as weird
I got rear ended a few months ago and ever since I’ve been really anxious about cars coming up behind me when I’m stopped (I was stopped at a stoplight when the guy behind me for some unfathomable reason thought the light had turned green and just didn’t realize that I wasn’t moving?), and I can only imagine how bad my anxiety would be if I had actually gotten injured

Into the Snake's Den
----
Things going missing in a household of four wasn’t uncommon, really. It was normal enough to misplace a sock on laundry day, or get one of your shirts mixed up with someone else’s and never see it again, or misplace one piece of jewellery from a set. Losing things was not out of the ordinary, what was out of the ordinary was just how often it happened for this particular household.
Logan theorised they potentially had borrowers, and if that was the case Patton was content to let them stay, though Roman had always brought up the point that who - or what - ever the culprit was, it was stealing items much too large to be a borrower. Patton had offered the idea that perhaps it was a fairy, or a spirit who lived nearby, in which case the group was even more eager to drop the issue.
That was until something important went missing a few weeks later.

I wrote this entire thing in one setting with encouragement from some awesome folks in the big bang server - I love you guys, lol.
Honestly, naga!janus in a non-explicit fic is so underrated - I think there really needs to be more snakey cuddles when the opportunity is so perfect, lol.

“Hey Pat - have you seen my cloak?” Came Virgil’s voice, sounding loudly through the house.
“No, bud, I haven’t seen it!” Patton yelled back as he worked on dinner, “Have you checked with Roman? I know he likes to borrow it sometimes-?”
His voice got quieter as Virgil actually joined him in the kitchen.
“I’ve already asked him,” He said, “Thought you might’ve washed it or something without telling me.”
“Nope… laundry day is tomorrow.” Patton shrugged and Virgil groaned.
“Not again… that was my favourite cloak…” He mumbled, rubbing his face as he practically collapsed into the comfortable sofa next to Logan, who was reading a book on spells.
For the most part, it was things that weren’t really missed. Small things that didn’t matter all that much - little trinkets, an inexpensive belonging, usually something replaceable but personal. Sometimes it was more valuable items, jewellery - stolen especially from Roman and Virgil, who wore it most often - Art supplies from Patton or magical ingredients from Logan.
Less often, but still notably more often than would be considered normal, bigger things went missing. Items of clothing, blankets from their beds, even pillows, occasionally. Other belongings - occasionally personal things too - would go missing too and Patton would find that a portion of whatever he had cooked would go missing as if by magic when he turned his back enough that he had started simply making extra. This had all started about a year ago, too, which leant more to the idea that this was suspicious.
Today, it seemed, Virgil’s cloak had been taken. Patton could only assure him that they would get him a new one next time they went to the market. Nothing that had been taken had ever been returned.
—-
“Something’s not right,” Virgil hissed as he shook Logan awake one night.  Logan immediately got up, striking a match to light the candle on his nightstand and looking at Virgil - who’s eyes looked black in the dark.
“What is it?”
“I don’t know, something’s wrong, I feel it,” He whispered, following Logan as he stood. The others had learned early on in their relationship that Virgil’s intuition was incredibly good; when he said something wasn’t right, he was almost always correct.
Glancing around as Logan paused to think, Logan’s eyes settled on a charcoal drawing that Roman had done of the four of them he kept in a frame, “Have you checked on the others?”
“Yeah - they’re both sleeping,” That was protocol, when Virgil felt that something was off in this way - he’d check on them first.
“Alright, that’s promising - come on, we’ll check the casting room first.” Logan said. It was most likely that if something was wrong, that would be where it originated. A stray potion, a spilled pot of some ingredient messing with the aura of the place - not to mention Logan’s casting orb.
The casting orb was a simple yet fairly rare magic tool - it allowed witches, like Logan, and other magic users - to store certain spells, keeping them constantly in place. The one Logan owned was mostly used to protect their home from any malevolent forces, there was one to grant them luck and it cast a generally positive magical aura that made it easier for all of them to perform their respective magic.
When the pair entered the room, Virgil gasped.
The door that led out to Patton’s greenhouse was wide open and from its glass case, the orb was missing.
“Great,” Virgil said sarcastically.
“We have to get it back,” Logan said immediately, “Not only is it incredibly valuable and dangerous in the wrong hands, but it is essential to keeping the others safe.”
Virgil’s expression twisted into a frown, “How are we gonna do that? We don’t even know what took it.”
“I’ll - figure something out,” Logan said, already heading over to his bookshelf, “If you could wake up the others?”
—-
“What are we doing out here in the middle of nowhere at whatever time in the morning again?” Roman complained as he led them down a barely trodden forest path, cutting back branches with his shimmering sword - that also served as a torch to light their way. Virgil was wearing a spare cloak that Patton was also sheltering under, clinging to Virgil’s side as the shadows swirled around them. Logan held his softly glowing staff and read from a book as they walked.
“Left here, Roman,” Logan said quickly, “Sharply - and we’re looking for the creature that has stolen my orb.”
“Couldn’t this have waited ‘tll the morning?” Roman asked, veering left and swinging his sword in front of him to cut back brambles and clear a makeshift path.
Virgil huffed, “You know how important the orb is, Princey, don’t be stuck up about it.”
“I just need my beauty sleep- woah…” Roman’s voice trailed off.
“Yes, your highness,” Virgil says with an exaggerated eye roll, though he fell quiet as he came into line beside Roman. Patton squeaked and Virgil gently squeezed his shoulders.-  trying not to pay attention to how the spare cloak was so scratchy and wasn’t the right size. Logan sighed.
“The trail goes in there,” Logan said, which none of them wanted to hear. Roman audibly groaned, both Patton and Virgil tensed.
“That’s a naga den, no doubt about it,” Roman said quietly, looking at the large, dark cave entrance that lay open wide before them. A warm draft came from inside. Virgil wouldn’t mind it so much if it weren't for the suspiciously bone shaped - sticks, they were definitely sticks, he just shouldn’t think about it too hard, and he should absolutely not mention that within Patton’s earshot, “How important didja say this orb was? Like - is it worth our lives?”
The book in Logan’s hands snapped closed and he placed it carefully into his bag, placing both hands onto his staff instead, “We will not die as long as we do not mess this up.”
“And how exactly do we do that, specs?” Virgil asked gruffly - because how the fuck were they supposed to deal with a naga? Sure they were all magic users, but they weren’t that powerful.
“Well… Nagas are possessive, dangerous creatures,” Logan says, “Though their main defences are their tails and fangs, so long as you avoid getting caught in its tail you should not get hurt, hopefully, it will be sleeping and we will be able to sneak in to get the orb.”
“Don’t they have the best sense of smell and hearing like… ever, though?” Virgil asked, still looking at the cave, “And other crazy magic?”
Patton shivered, “Would- would it already know we’re here?”
“Well- It hasn’t come out to fight us, so I presume not,” Logan says, trying to placate, “If we can keep our spells and attacks ranged, we should all be okay.”
A dramatic sigh came from Roman’s right, “If you’d said that when we were at the house I would have brought my bow.”
Virgil glared at him, “You can channel magic through your sword, idiot.”
“Yeah - but the arrows are better-”
“Stop-” Logan commanded, both of them fell silent, feeling suitably cowed, “Unless you want to wake it up?”
With a sheepish look, Roman looked at his feet, “Right, sorry L.”
“Patton, you have your potions?” Logan asks a moment of silence later.
“Yep - they’re mostly healing, though, I also brought snacks.”
“Well - I suppose the healing will be useful just in case,” Logan sighed, “You and I will hang back, Virgil and Roman should go in first.”
“What- why?” Roman protests.
“Your spells need line of sight and aim, if we are ahead of you you will be heavily hindered, mine do not,” Logan said, Virgil raised an eyebrow and he sighed and continued, “You are also a heavy hitter, and your shadow teleportation ability will make it easier for you to dodge, especially in a shadowy cave, plus you can see better.”
Virgil sighs, but doesn’t say anything - that reasoning is pretty sound., he supposed.
“Are we ready?”
—-
The cave was dark, but unlike Virgil had expected, it didn’t necessarily smell bad, nor was it super damp - though it was a little humid, he supposed a naga would enjoy that.  The tunnel into the cave was fairly long, enough to make Virgil more and more nervous as they slowly and near silently traversed it, their path only lit by Roman’s sword. Something on the ground caught his eye and made him stop, Patton almost walked into him and whispered a quick ‘are you alright’ to him as Virgil bent down to pick it up.
“Ro,” he whispered, “Light?”
Roman moved his sword closer to the thing Virgil had picked up, a small purple gemstone on a hooked wire, “I swear that’s familiar,” Roman whispered.
“It’s my earring,” Virgil says as they continue to look at it, “The one I lost like a month ago?”
“Does that mean…” Patton whispered, before Logan nudged them both and put a finger to his lips, before pointing ahead of them.
“Oh..” Roman whispered. A short ways ahead of them seemed to be the entrance to a much larger chamber, from which warm light seemed to spill into the tunnel. The four of them exchanged glances. Virgil especially shivered looking at it, that didn’t look like a particularly shadowy cave to him. “hm- before we go in, just in case we don’t come out.”
Logan tried to protest against Roman’s volume before he was pulled into a gentle kiss.  When he pulled away, Logan had a fond look on his face. Meanwhile Roman turned to Virgil and then Patton and did the same thing.
That felt far too much like a goodbye.
“Roman-” Virgil whispered before Roman was striding towards the chamber entrance, Logan reaches to grab him and pull him back but misses the back of his shirt by an inch. Virgil glances back at the other two and hurries after him, not about to let Roman be a self-sacrificing idiot for their sake.
—-
When Roman reached the entrance of the chamber, he wasn’t sure what he was expecting and stopped short, rather than rushing in as planned.
A naga, of course, and that’s what he saw, but he’d expected an intimidating, hissing creature, with coils and coils of tail ready to strangle or crush them, hissing with fangs ready to paralyse them with venom, he’d expected something dark and uncomfortable, not…
“Is that my shirt?” He asked dumbly to noone, only for Virgil to punch him in the arm for speaking so loudly, he turned to pout at him briefly before looking back at the scene before him.
There was a naga, sure, and he was a little intimidating just for that fact, but really… Roman couldn’t force himself to be scared when he tried.
He did have a mass of scaly tail that Roman was certain was strong enough to crush his bones, but right now it was coiled up and half buried in blankets he recognised, blankets, sheets, clothes and pillows that had been periodically going missing from their house. The naga’s tail was covered in shimmering gold and black scales, the gold glittering in the gentle light that filtered into the cave via some kind of magic and the black was iridescent. His torso too was a golden tan, flecked with the same shimmering yellow scales as his tail almost like freckles and cascades of soft looking warm brown hair obscured half of his face.
In the naga’s arms was another pillow, though this one was dressed in what Roman was certain was one of his shirts that had gone missing fairly recently, his forked tongue was half out in his sleep in a frankly adorable ‘blep’. Roman found he could fathom fighting this creature less and less with every little detail he noticed.
“This is…” Virgil whispered next to him.
“Everything we’ve lost,” Patton finished, nodding.
“But why?” Logan asked quietly, ever curious. Roman nodded, unable to help agreeing with the question - why did the naga want their things? Was this weird? Maybe a little, Roman thought it was almost cute.
Roman turned his gaze to Logan as he seemed to scan the room, before his eyes settled on something, “The orb,” he whispered, pointing, “It’s over there.”
Right, that’s what they were here for, Logan’s orb. Roman followed his gaze to a small pile of trinkets across the room - all Logan’s things. His gaze slid to the other piles  scattered around, there was one for each of them.
“I’ll get it,” Roman said eventually, already going to step forward before Virgil put his hand on his arm.
A twisted, anxious expression was on his face and Virgil looked like he would rather be doing anything else right now, but he still said, “No - let me - I’m quieter.”
“Maybe,” Roman says softly, “But you don’t want to.”
“I don’t want you to be killed either-”
“I can take care of myself, V, it’ll be okay,”
Patton shushed them hurriedly and the four of them turned to look at the naga, who murmured something and hugged the pillow closer whilst his tongue flicked out against it to smell the air, though he seemed to still be asleep. Logan seemed to realise something.
“This room is full of our scents already,” Logan whispered, drawing the attention of the other three, “It might not even notice we’re here - but we should still hurry, just-  do rock paper scissors if you have to.”
Roman turned to Virgil with a grin and held out his fist, Virgil rolled his eyes like this was a stupid idea but joined him in the game anyway. Roman won. He barely resisted crying out in victory, but he did punch Virgil affectionately before he smiled at the others and began making his way slowly around the edge of the chamber.
Halfway there, the naga stirred again, but simply nuzzled into the pillow with a yawn that showed off his massive fangs, the mass of tail shifted, but he still didn't wake up. Roman put even more effort into being quiet until he reached Logan’s pile, picking up the shimmering orb carefully with both hands. He made eye contact with Logan before throwing it across the room. He almost laughed at the panic in Logan’s eyes as he casted a levitation spell on the small ball and brought it slowly back to himself, placing it carefully into the bag. Logan glared at Roman, who shrugged and took a step to make his way back. Having been looking at Logan, though, and not his feet, Roman found himself accidentally stepping on something that cracked under his foot. Loudly.
A wave of panic washed over him as the naga’s pointed ears pricked and he woke, this time his eyes blink open slowly and his gaze immediately locked onto Roman - he can’t help but think what striking colours they are. One is a striking gold, just like his scales, the other is almost black, but shimmering with an iridescent rainbow. Roman thought he ought to be worried about how he was about to die as the naga tasted the air, but he was frozen on the spot. Barely a glance at his lovers showed that they were terrified as well.
For a moment, he and the naga simply stared at each other and he mentally begged the others to run. In a blink, and that’s really how fast it was - Roman couldn’t have possibly reacted - the naga struck, coiling his tail around Roman and lifting him from his feet. Of course he struggled, but the naga was strong and he had dropped his sword when the tail had wrapped around him, there was nothing he could do as he was brought face to face with the - admittedly incredibly beautiful - creature. He wanted to look at the others, but he also didn’t know if the naga knew they were there - and if he didn’t then Roman didn’t want to draw attention to them. If he was going to die here, he would have to make sure they could get out.
He had expected the naga to squeeze him to death, maybe sink those razor sharp fangs into Roman’s skin and kill him slowly. The naga drew closer and flicked his tongue to smell him, Roman squeezed his eyes shut in preparation but no pain came, instead he felt cool lips pressed to his forehead. It was then that he realised a few different things at once.
First, the naga didn’t want to kill him - he would have done so by now. Second, his scales were cool and smooth where they pressed up against Roman’s bare arms, his tail wasn’t squeezing too hard. Though Roman couldn’t really struggle or escape, he could breath easily, it felt more like an embrace. Third… the naga had just kissed him. Now he was being stared at with a look that seemed like hopeful awe.
“You…” Roman whispered, not being able to come up with words to express what he wanted to say - which was rare for him. Why was this beautiful thing looking at him like he hung the stars?
One of his hands came up to cup Roman’s face and he found himself leaning into it purely on instinct. The naga’s hands were cool and half scaled and it felt nice against his warm skin - and Roman had never been one to shy away from touch. Roman was passed then from the naga’s tail to his arms, where he was cradled against his strong chest. Despite the fear he had felt mere minutes ago, Roman couldn’t help the way his brain was screaming ‘safe’. He curled into the embrace.
“Mine,” the naga hissed in Roman’s ear, his voice smooth and warm like melted chocolate, the sound made his breath hitch, “Ssssmokey one, you are ssso warm.”
“Let him go!” Patton's voice comes from the entrance to the chamber. Both Roman and the naga turn heads to look at him. Logan seemed to be trying to get Patton to be quiet and Virgil looked to be mid-panic attack. Roman felt a little bad. The naga moved closer to them and Patton tensed the closer he got.
“He isss not hurt,” the Naga said, voice gentle as he turned a little to show Roman to them. Roman gave them a little wave and it seemed to placate the three of them just a little, “The little human iss but mine - and sso are you, my gems.”
His tail quickly hoists Patton into the air as well, but leaves his arms free unlike he had with Roman. Patton squeaked, flailing a little until he too realised he wasn’t being killed. When the naga drew him closer, he reached for Roman’s hand, he quickly took it.
“Put them down,” Logan said, voice monotonous but hiding a venom that Roman could recognise, “We are not yours to hoard.”
“You are mine to love, little witch,” The naga says, “My little humans,”
Patton and Roman both found themselves lowered into the centre of the admittedly amazingly comfortable nest. Roman immediately scrambled over to Patton, pulling him into a gentle hug as the naga turned his attention to Virgil and Logan. Although they had been freed from his hold directly, they were still separated from the others by coils of the Naga’s tail, so they simply sat and waited.
A stretch of silence passed as the naga’s eyes tracked Virgil curiously - the normally vigilant light-wielder didn’t seem to notice, focused on searching for something in the mass of blankets instead.
“What are you looking for, little one?” he asked, curling himself around Virgil and making him jump badly and look around to face him. Virgil seemed to freeze, but the naga remained as passive as ever.
Another silent moment passed, “...my cloak,” Virgil admitted softly, “The big one you - you took a few weeks ago.”
Barely a moment passed before the naga slithered to a spot and dug through the blankets to pull out a mass of black fabric, decorated with purple embroidery which he brought back to Virgil - who stared at him in surprise and wonder.
“I liked this one,” the naga said, placing it around Virgils shoulders. Virgil immediately let out a sigh of relief, practically melting into the fabric, “It'sss big.”
“Yes,” Virgil said quietly. The naga offers him a hand that he tentatively takes and Virgil is carefully lifted to stand on a coil of his tail, steadied by the naga’s hand as he’s brought to join Patton and Roman, who accepted him into their hug gently, earning a fond smile from the naga, who then turned his attention back to Logan, who was growing less and less steadfast in his resistance by the moment.
“You haven’t usssed that on me yet,” the naga says almost conversationally, gesturing to Logan’s faintly glowing staff - which he was clutching like a lifeline, “What are you waiting for, little witch?”
“I-” Logan faltered, “You…”
The naga hummed, “Will you join uss, little witch?”
Logan frowned, pausing, “What is your name, naga?”
A smile spread across the naga’s face, “I am called Janus,” He answers, voice still gentle.
“I am Logan,” Logan says, “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Ssso polite,” Janus hisses, edging forwards toward him.
“You’ve been stealing from us for months.” Logan backs up a step and Janus pauses, “Why?”
This seemed to give Janus pause, since he actually stopped to take a second and think about his answer. Roman found he was curious as he grabbed a red fluffy blanket - one of his favourites that he had lost - from the top of the pile and wrapped it around his shoulders. For that he earned a pat on the shoulder from Virgil and a kiss to the cheek from Patton.
“I wanted my humans near me,” Janus said eventually, “But you would not come, I had to make do.”
Roman couldn’t quite work out whether that was absolutely adorable or kind of sad.
“Is that why you took my orb?” Logan asked, taking off his bag and placing it carefully behind him. Proceeding to carefully put his staff down with it, “So we would come here?”
Janus looked away, an almost embarrassed expression overtaking his face. Roman couldn’t help but share a smile with his loves. Virgil smirked back and Roman just knew  from that look he was holding back from teasing the naga that technically had them hostage and vulnerable viciously. “Perhaps.”
“You could have simply approached us,” Logan said, his tone minutely softer.
Janus raised an eyebrow and simply gestured to his tail, which took up the majority of the large cavern.
“Right,” Logan said, frowning, “Yet you managed to sneak into our house to steal?”
“Nagas have magic too, little witch,” Janus hissed, finally approaching him properly, carefully and slowly wrapping his coils around him to lift him and place him in the nest with the others. Logan seemed curious, but Janus didn’t seem willing to elaborate as he placed Logan in their little circle. Patton immediately reached for him.
Meticulously, Janus picked over the four of them, taking their weapons and adding them to a small pile as well as anything breakable or uncomfortable. Roman had difficulty giving up his sword’s sheath - even if the sword itself had been left on the floor of the cavern already, but Janus promised it would be safe in his hoard and lifted Roman gently so he could see where he placed it. The others were easier to disarm, especially Logan - who had already left his things at the door, so to speak.
When he was done he coaxed the four of them to lie down with a gentle voice and soft, alluring words, promising them safety and comfort as he buried himself once more in the blankets, laying himself down so he wrapped the four of them in his coils and his human torso could lie amongst them, allowing himself to wrap his arms around Roman and for Virgil to share his cloak. Logan held Virgil carefully from behind and Patton found himself laid across all four of them, his head in Roman’s lap and his feet in Logans.
“My little ones,” Janus whispered as the lights above them dimmed, a hand carding through Virgil’s hair where his head rested against Janus’ shoulder, his lips brushed Roman’s forehead and he reached to brush a hand over Logan and Patton’s faces in turn, “My lovely humans.”
Patton let out a content hum and squirmed a little to get comfortable, Roman heard Logan let out a happy sigh.
“So warm, so sweet,” Janus hissed softly as he tugged Roman closer, burying his face in his shoulder. Roman had always run the warmest of the group.
Patton fell asleep first, and then Roman next. Logan fell next, with a little gentle coaxing from the naga until it was just Virgil.
—-
“You are still scared, little gem,” Janus said softly, brushing  the hair from Virgil’s face, “My little amethyst, what scares you?”
It takes a long time for Virgil to answer and in that time Virgil meets his eyes and Janus knows without him saying a word that it’s him Virgil is afraid of still.
“How do I know you won’t turn on us while I sleep?” Virgil asked, even despite his fears his voice is still quiet so as not to wake the others, “How do I know they’re safe.”
“I will protect them,” Janus says softly, leaning forward and kissing Virgil’s forehead. Roman makes a soft sound and shifts in his sleep, one of his arms wraps around Janus’ waist and he sighs contently, “I love you all, my sweet ones, I will protect you, I promise.”
“How do I know that?” Virgil insisted, “How do I know you’re not lying.”
“Do you have a bad feeling about me, my amethyst?” Janus asked softly, cupping Virgil’s cheek with a hand.
Virgil takes a long moment to consider, before he eventually shakes his head. His eyes are wide.
“No,” he says softly, meeting Janus’ eyes again, “I think you’re good.”
“Then trust me, little human,” Janus hissed softly, the sound practically luring Virgil to relax. He takes a deep breath and… does.
Virgil falls asleep with the others and Janus keeps his promise.

Fanfics A Plenty (Redone)
Fanfics A Plenty - Google Docs
So let's try this again, lol. I have totally revamped the old fanfics a plenty by making new docs. Basically if you have no idea what fanfics a plenty is its a doc I made for readers and writers of sanders sides fanfics to share fanfics in a safe and hopefully well organized way.
This time around I'm making a discord and will be looking for moderators for both the discord channel and the fanfics a plenty documents so if that is something you are interested in then please join the discord or if you just want to join the discord to have another place to interact with other fanders who want to share content and view or read content then that is totally cool too. All are welcome, I would just ask that you please be mindful to the rules when adding fanfic recommendations and that you not remove any of them unless you are the author yourself. I hope this time around that things will go much smoother and that we can upkeep everything. Do be mindful that these first few days I will be working on adding in fanfic recommendations over from the other one and that it may be slow going, but also feel free to add in yours in that time as well. Don't be shy to self promote with this doc either.
Other than that I have the link for the discord which I will be working on and looking for others to assist me with here:
https://discord.gg/YmGhpGP5
Hope you'll enjoy this doc and help it grow into something bigger! If it gets big enough we may even have to break it down further which would be so fun, but for now we'll start with humble beginnings.
