The concept of a "shut up ring" is a bit... unsettling.
"Your man would know if he wanted to marry you, why has he waited 5 years" because getting married isn't a goal everyone has? Because getting married is expensive? Because you have built up in your head a Hollywood expectation that your partner feels they can't live up to? Because he doesn't know you want to marry him? Because he has a timeline in his own mind and wants to get there on his own time? Because you've told him you want a diamond ring and a 1 carat mined diamond can cost £11,000 (and a 1 carat lab grown diamond can cost £2,500)?
I've just watched a video where a 30 odd year old woman is telling teenagers that if a man wants to marry you, he'll ask you within 6 months. I think this is an unrealistic expectation that is bound to set future relationships up for failure. Being married is a nice thing to do but is it essential?
The UK average for a wedding is £30,000 and rising. For a single day.
Am I saying some men don't want their cake and to eat it too? No. But is it ridiculous that the internet is so obsessed with telling people how to live, we've now decided that if people get married after more than a year of dating, he doesn't want his partner and he's doing it to shut his partner up? Absolutely ridiculous.
Getting married is a personal decision and rushing into it because someone on tiktok told you if they ask you within the first year that means they love you is terrible advice. Your partner asking you after 7 years and 3 kids isn't a "shut up ring".
Stop listening to people on the internet give relationship advice - most of these people are extremely unhappy and borderline unhinged in their thinking.
Have you ever asked your partner what they want? They aren't bothered about dressing up and spending thousands on a single day. They aren't bothered about 6-18 months of planning.
90% of the time they literally just want to be with their partners and don't see why you have to get a piece of paper to do so.
Anyway, apparently I have opinions on this subject.

Gold, silver, and platinum are the most popular metals used in Top Fine Jewelry with Gemstones. All the metals come in various shades and manifestations, and therefore you must select the one that suits the gemstone and your personality.
3. Understand Gemstone Grading
Similar to diamonds, most gemstones are assessed and valued using parameters such as color, clarity, cut, and carat weight. Being aware of these factors helps you determine the likelihood of this process affecting the appearance and value of the gemstone, which would enable you to effectively evaluate the different pieces and make the most of the investment.
4. Verify Authenticity
One should only purchase gemstone jewelry from credible jewelers who will offer certification documentation for the gemstones. It ensures that the gemstone is real and does not have any flaws that might have made the carat weight different from what is stated. Do not forget to request for any further documentation that may support the genuine nature of the gemstone.
5. Consider the Occasion
Basically, it’s important that you always look at the occasion that you are going to use the jewelry on, each time you are making your purchase of the gemstone jewelry. There are many occasions for wearing gems such as formal events that are ideal for diamond or sapphire or casual use gems like turquoise or amethyst.
6. Pay Attention to Setting Style
This is an important aspect that can give a cutting style a great boost with regard to the beauty of a gemstone. There are so many to choose from – like prongs, bezels, and halos, just to name a few. Both styles are stunning and give character to the gemstone, so choose one based on the workability of where the gemstone sits on the ring and your preference.
7. Set a Budget
It is advisable to determine how much you are willing to spend before you begin searching for the Best Fine Jewelry with Gemstones. Gemstone jewelry may be cheaper to expensive depending on the kind of gemstone used, size, or quality of the gemstone used. One thing that a person needs to ensure is that they buy the jewelry from a reputable dealer. You can search for it on the Internet or consult with the people you know. There are usually assurances or warranties on pieces from reliable jewelers as you get Top Fine Jewelry with Gemstones.
9. Evaluate the Gemstone's Color

At the same time, stones such as aquamarine or topaz are popular as the light and pastel shades are rather appreciated and prized. Select one of the gemstone types having a hue that is dear to you.
10. Think About Longevity
Of course, some gemstones are harder than others and according to how often you plan to wear the piece, it should be chosen. For example, diamonds and sapphires are scratch-resistant and unlike some other materials not suited for day-to-day use. Feasible gems such as opals and pearls may further be delicate and should only be used for important occasions only.
Therefore, it is advisable to take some time and do some research on factors like the grading of gemstones, color, and setting to be in a position of acquiring the best jewelry item. By doing the above, you will be in a position to purchase the Best Fine Jewelry with Gemstones that complements your collection and most importantly are timeless. The Science of Sparkle: Understanding the 4 Cs of Diamonds
Tumblr media
When it comes to purchasing a diamond, especially for something as significant as a diamond ring, understanding the 4 Cs—cut, color, clarity, and carat—is essential. These four factors not only influence the beauty and brilliance of a diamond but also its value. Knowing these details can help you make an informed decision and select the perfect diamond for your needs.
1. Cut: The Art of Crafting Brilliance
The cut of a diamond is perhaps the most crucial factor in determining its sparkle. Unlike the other Cs, which are determined by nature, the cut is a result of human craftsmanship. It refers to how well the diamond has been shaped and faceted, and it directly influences the stone's ability to reflect light.
A well-cut diamond will appear more brilliant and fiery, as the light that enters it is expertly reflected through the top of the stone. Poorly cut diamonds, on the other hand, will leak light out of the sides and bottom, resulting in a dull appearance. Prioritizing the cut is key to unlocking the stone's full potential.
2. Color: The Subtle Hues of Purity
Diamonds are graded on a color scale that ranges from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The less color a diamond has, the more valuable it is. A completely colorless diamond allows more light to pass through it, enhancing its brilliance and making it appear more pure.
However, subtle color differences can have a significant impact on a diamond's price. For instance, a D-grade diamond will be significantly more expensive than one with an E or F rating, even though the color difference is often imperceptible to the untrained eye. This variety ensures there’s something to suit every taste and budget.
3. Clarity: The Mark of Perfection
Clarity refers to the presence of internal or external flaws, known as inclusions and blemishes, respectively. The clarity scale ranges from Flawless (no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to Included (inclusions visible to the naked eye).
While clarity is an important factor, many inclusions are microscopic and do not affect the beauty of a diamond to the naked eye. Investing in a diamond with a slightly lower clarity grade can be a smart choice, as it may offer better value without compromising on visual appeal.
4. Carat: The Weight of Beauty
Carat is a measure of a diamond's weight, with one carat equivalent to 200 milligrams. While carat weight is often equated with size, it’s important to note that two diamonds of equal carat weight can appear different in size depending on their cut proportions.
Larger diamonds are rarer and therefore more expensive. However, considering all four Cs together rather than focusing solely on carat weight is essential. A well-cut, slightly smaller diamond can often appear more stunning than a larger, poorly cut one.
Conclusion
Understanding the 4 Cs of diamonds—cut, color, clarity, and carat—is crucial when making a purchase, especially from a reputable provider. By balancing these factors, you can find a diamond that not only fits your budget but also sparkles with the beauty and brilliance you desire. Whether you’re shopping for an engagement ring, a special gift, or a personal indulgence, the right knowledge will ensure your diamond is as dazzling as your commitment.
For those looking for exceptional diamonds, Jewel Smith, one of the leading jewelry stores in California, offers an extensive collection that meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

6 Tips To Save Money While Buying Engagement Rings
It is a given that you would not want to settle for less when buying your dream engagement ring from the best diamond store in Chicago.
Many aspects contribute to the expense of a diamond ring. However, a lot of people don’t know how to utilize and work around certain aspects to reduce the cost, so that the ring would fit into their respective budget perfectly.
Most buyers out there believe that paying the highest price is the cost that needs to be paid to buy the best diamond for their ring, but that is not always the case.
Here are a few tips that the jewelers recommend, to help you find the perfect diamond on a given budget:
1. Find A Middle Ground For The Colour On Your Diamond
Diamond color grading ranks from D-Z, where D indicates the purest form of diamond with no indications of color at all. To save the cost, one can opt for a diamond that lies somewhere between G-J. The color-grading of the diamond does not have to be perfect to create the best custom-made engagement rings in Chicago.
2. Opt For Enhanced Clarity
If you are not ready to compromise on the clarity of your diamond, you can opt for enhanced clarity diamonds. The enhancement is done through an innovative technological procedure, a laser is used to correct the inclusions in the diamond and to increase its clarity grade.
3. Lower Clarity Grade Can Help Save A Lot Of Money
For those who are on a budget, a diamond that is slightly blemished is a great way to reduce the cost, without having to compromise prodigiously. When a diamond is set on a ring, the jewelers always choose the most perfect angle of the diamond concealing the rest through the subsequent setting on the ring.
4. You Need To Be Informed On How The Cut Affects The Size Of The Diamond
The cut of a diamond has a great influence on its size. A diamond that otherwise appears large, does not necessarily have a higher carat weight. The price tag that follows a diamond is hugely based on the carat weight, and you can cut down the price by opting for a diamond that is bigger but has a lower carat weight.
5. Choose A Diamond With A Lower Carat Weight
If you want to invest in a chunky diamond, you can do so without investing a wholesome amount of money by opting for one with lower carat weight. Carat weight does not impact the size of the ring significantly, therefore you will be able to buy a ring with a huge diamond at a compatible price.
6. Opt For A Deceptive Design
To make your ring look lavish, you don’t necessarily need a huge diamond. Try experimenting with different ring settings that can accentuate the center stone, this way you would not have to spend a fortune on your desired ring. You will be able to forge a bigger size under a compatible price by opting for a halo setting on your ring.
These are the various tricks that jewelry designers often recommend to buyers on a budget. With such tricks at your disposal, you can seize a great diamond ring without spending a fortune.

I’ll probably get more albums in the future but idk yet… I like collecting them but where I live they are usually really expensive… if money wasn’t a problem I would probably have many many more hahaha when I started to get into kpop it was 100% my parents money and they wouldn’t spend with that jdhsh but now I like to treat myself from time to time ^^
I started to get into kpop in 2015?2016? I don’t remember exactly but its been a long time kdhsnd it’s not just a phase mom… its not just a phase kshdmshd I was watching a video of people reacting to kpop because my sister showed to me and Dope by Bts was one of the videos and I really liked the song so I added to my playlist.. but never searched abt kpop again.. until one day when my best friend at the time was listening to Exo and she showed me since I told her I knew what kpop were and then I got obsessed… Exo has became my obsession until later in 2016 when I discovered Seventeen and became a carat ult for the past 5/6 years and now I’m here being a stay ult hahahaha

Finally home time!
The feeling of settling into your car after the end of your night shift was a pleasant one. You relaxed your head against the headrest and let the exhaustion from having to stand hours preparing the endless coffee orders leave your body before starting your car. You drove down the empty streets, a few nonfunctioning streetlamps creating a dim lighting along the sidewalks. Mindlessly, you passed by a park where a dark figure laid still on the ground.
Reaching a red light of an intersection, you thought back to the thing you caught a glimpse of earlier and something itched in you to go back and check it out. When the lights turned green, you made a U-turn and found the figure still there, unmoving.
Walking closer to it, you realized it was a boy with pink hair, eyes closed looking unconscious, though his chest rhythmically rose up and down. You squinted to get a better look of his face under the low lighting and did not spot a single scratch on the skin to hint any signs of him being injured.
Is he okay? you thought. Should I wake him up?
Worried that he could have been bruised under his clothes, you called for him. “Hello? Are you okay?”
Hearing your voice, his eyes fluttered open and his breath hitched upon seeing a beautiful face up close. You were relieved that he was alive, but grew uneasy when he merely stared at you, not responding back to you with words.
“Um, are you okay?” you asked again, hoping he would say something about why he was on the ground in the middle of the night.
He only groaned as he shifted his weight to sit upright, rolling his neck and shoulders in circles to alleviate the tensed muscles.
“Should I call the ambula-”
“Don’t,” he cut you off with a small glare. He couldn’t afford getting caught if he were taken to the hospital, especially when he didn’t even need to go there in the first place.
You bit your lip nervously, unsure what to do next. You didn’t want to be rude and leave him alone all of a sudden, but you really wanted to go home. Should you drop him home? Get a grip, Y/N! He was a stranger, and you couldn’t tell if he was safe enough to bring him inside your car. “But are you hurt?”
“It’s not that bad,” he replied. “Just take me home.”
Shit.
Looked like you were taking him into your car.
“Where do you live?” You hoped he didn’t live somewhere too far so you could get under the covers of your cozy blankets as soon as you could.
The boy cocked his head to the side and gazed at you in amusement. “Take me to your home.”
You were thankful it wasn’t summer just yet. Otherwise, mosquitoes would have entered your jaw-dropped mouth. Was he crazy? Why would anyone in their right mind ask to be taken to a complete stranger’s home? Especially one where you lived alone. “Why my home? Don’t you have one?”
He propped his upper body up with hands resting beside him, watching you with a dark glint in his eyes that you failed to notice. “I don’t want to be alone tonight.”
The boy was adamant and wouldn’t take no for a response, making you pray to the Lords that nothing bad would happen when taking home the pink haired whose name you learned was Taeyong.
-
Your keys repeatedly failed to connect with the lock of your house. It was hard to when Taeyong’s intense gaze was fixed on your side profile. “Sorry,” you nervously chuckled. “I’m really tired from work,” you tried reasoning.
After struggling for a while, he snatched the key from your grasp and unlocked the door, pushing it open and inviting himself in. You stay rooted by the entrance, shocked that Taeyong casually opened the door and simply walked in as if it were his house.
Taeyong looked around your place, interested to see the soft-hearted person you were with various photos of your loved ones hanging on the walls.
“Do you need the first aid kit?” you asked.
He touched himself in the stomach and hissed. “Yeah.”
You nodded and went to search for the kit in the bathroom. When out of his sight, Taeyong plopped down on the sofa, letting out a long exhale and half smiled. He found it new and amusing with someone being concerned for his well-being.
With the kit in your hand, you took a moment to calm down your racing heart. Taeyong was not letting you feel comfortable for a reason that you failed to decipher. You met your gaze in the mirror and told yourself that nothing bad should happen. How could a wounded boy harm a girl?
You walked back into the living room and were relieved to see Taeyong resting on the sofa with his eyes closed. If he wanted to harm you, then he wouldn’t be lounging around like that. “I brought it.”
He hummed and opened one eye. “You can leave it there and head for bed,” he said nodding towards the small table in front of him.
“Don’t you need any help though?” What if he had any wounds on his back that he couldn’t reach?
Taeyong clicked his tongue. “I’ll be fine.”
“I have a guest bedroom. You can sleep there,” you offered.
He shook his head. “I’m fine here.”
“But the sofa isn’t-”
“I’m fine.”
You bit back your tongue, letting him decide on his own what was best for him. It was odd that he wouldn’t opt for a bed to let his body relax and heal faster. “Okay, I’ll bring you a pillow and blanket then.”
“I don’t need them. That throw will be fine.” He pointed at one draped over the armchair.
Were you being too pushy? Why was this guy refusing everything that you were kindly offering? “Okay… I’ll head up then. G’night.” With that, you hurriedly went up to your refuge and finally called it a night.
Once the coast was clear, Taeyong pulled off his denim jacket and shirt over his head, observing his skin.
Flawless skin.
Not a single wound spotted.
You’re a cute one, he thought and smirked to himself.
- ❀ -
You took Taeyong out for shopping the next day, as per his so-called request. It was more of a demand. You didn’t understand why he was staying at your place but decided to keep your mouth shut and hoped that he’d leave you soon.
While you wandered around the cosmetics section, Taeyong left your side, his eyes catching interest of the sparkling diamonds department.
“Hello, sir. What would you like to see?” the woman behind the counter asked sweetly.
Taeyong paid no mind looking at her and locked his gaze on a specific 2 carat round eternity engagement ring in 14k white gold. “How much is that?” he pointed at the ring enclosed in the display case.
“Twenty-five thousand dollars, sir.”
Taeyong let out a whistle and propped his elbow on the casing. He turned around to search for you, finding you try on a couple of samples on your skin, and his lips curled up when seeing you pleased with the products.
The man not being by your side gave you some time to calm your heart down. You didn’t know why you felt that way with Taeyong when he hadn’t done anything to harm you. Something warned you from the inside to not trust him, even though he hadn’t done anything to invade your privacy at home. You were glad that he chose to sleep downstairs and so a part of you grew fond for him despite the short time.
Then what was this feeling that you probably made a grave mistake for helping him out last night?
You put away the product testers and searched for Taeyong, spotting the pink one easily as he leisurely passed by two security guards and picked out a pistol from its holder without them knowing.
“What the…” you breathed out. What was this guy going to do with a gun?
Taeyong made his way over to the fire alarm system and pulled it down. A loud, 3-beep pattern resonated throughout the store and numerous customers panicked, dashing out the building while the guards tried to figure out what was going on. The boy walked back to the diamonds where the employee was still there, frantically locking everything up before leaving for safety.
“Give me the ring,” Taeyong ordered. His blank expression made the woman not take him seriously and ignored him. Just when she was about to leave the counter, Taeyong held up the gun at her forehead and repeated. “Give me or I’ll shoot you.”
“B-But th-there’s a fire!” she cried. She didn’t want to die from the fire, or from the gunshot, or from her boss that she gave one of the most expensive rings away for free.
“There’s no fire. Quit wasting time or I’ll shoot.”
The guards caught up on the situation. “Hey you! Put that gun down or I’ll shoot you!” one said, while the other informed the situation through his walkie talkie.
Taeyong grabbed the woman in the blink of an eye, holding her as a shield with the gun pressed against her temple. “If you come near me, she dies.”
The guards backed away and held their hands up. “Okay okay! Let her go, man.”
I will, but after I get my ring, he thought.
He pulled the worker behind the counter, keeping her in front of him, and ordered her again. She obeyed, the fear of having to die from his gun scariest than any other consequence she’d have to face later. “D-Do you want the r-ring casing?”
“Just the damn ring.”
She handed it over with shaky hands. He shoved it inside the pocket of his jeans and shot the two guards down. The woman screamed and he pushed her away.
“Chill. I won’t kill you unless you get in my way.”
He sprinted to your rooted spot where you silently watched the scene unfold. Taeyong pulled you out of your shock self when he grabbed your hand and darted for the exit, letting your feet automatically respond to his action.
“Pass me the car key,” he instructed.
You didn’t want to, not when he shot two people in front of your eyes. But you chose to trust him than get caught now that you were technically his partner in crime. You both rushed to your car with him diving into the driver’s seat while you in the passenger. The police sirens could be heard from a distance and Taeyong wasted no time and slammed on the accelerator without putting on his seatbelt.
He went over the speed limit, overtaking the slower cars in the lanes as he tried to widen the gap between him and the flashing red and blue lights. A red traffic light was fast approaching, and cars were lined up ahead. But the boy made no plans to pull the brakes.
“You need to slow down!” you screamed.
The pink haired peeked at the rearview mirror, spotting the cops not too far behind them.
“Taeyong, stop!” Right before he could touch the stopped vehicles, he swerved the car abruptly to the empty lanes.
The lanes for the opposite direction.
You pulled at your hair, close to losing your sanity. “Are you fucking trying to kill us?”
The cops took a while to decide on the next course of action before following suit. He smirked, pleased with himself. “Relax, sweetheart. I’m good at this.”
Traffic was ongoing perpendicular to your direction and you were horrified with what the psycho was planning to do next. Without slowing the speed, Taeyong sped through the intersection once spotting an opening. Cars screeched to a stop and honked at the maniac driver.
This was a nightmare.
The very nightmare that the pink haired found thrilling.
Once on a street clear of any other vehicles besides yours and the police, you shouted, “I’m feeling fucking sick!”
“Hang in there. The show’s almost over.”
Wait…
What?
He checked the rearview again and the spacing was perfect. There were only two cars after them, making it easy for his plan to work.
Taeyong slammed the brakes and turned the steering wheel all the way, spinning the car 360 degrees. You screamed and held onto the handle tightly, shutting your eyes.
“Hold the wheel,” he said.
“What?”
He grabbed your hand and placed it on the steering wheel. “Hold it,” he directed. After you did, Taeyong pushed your head below the windows, clear from his aim. He lowered the glass barriers and shot at an incoming auto, aiming perfectly at the one in front of the other which resulted it to swerve out of control. This caused the one behind it to collide and flip over onto its roof. And not too long after-
BAAM!
It exploded into flames, ending the chase.
-
Taeyong stepped out of your new car and you followed, slamming the door shut angrily. “Why the fuck did you do that?” Your eyes moisten from the intense anger that built up inside.
He rounded the vehicle and stopped in front of you, alarming you when he suddenly grabbed your hand.
You tried to yank your hand free, but his grip was tight. “What the hell are you doing?”
His hand dug in his pocket for the stolen ring and slid it onto your ring finger. “I got this for you,” he spoke quietly while admiring the beauty that rested on your hand.
Your rage died for a moment, puzzled that he’d do such a thing to get you a ring. “Why?” Tears fell from its place and you wailed. “Why did you do it?” You never asked for any of this, from the theft to the shootings, to him even changing your car at a dealership who he was well acquainted with.
Taeyong shrugged coolly as if it was no big deal. “Just felt like it. I saw it and I wanted to get it for you. Usually I steal cars, so be honoured that I stole a beauty like that for you.” He winked at you and walked inside your house.
You took a moment to scream your frustration out, almost kicking the car before deciding against it. Walking in, you found the boy sprawled on the sofa, eyes closed.
“If you wanted to get me it, then you should have paid for it like a normal person would!”
He peeked at you through one eye. “Do you know how much that’s worth?”
It was a no brainer that it was expensive. But exactly how much… “No.”
“Twenty-five grand.”
Talk about getting all the wind knocked out of your lungs. That was nearly how much you’d make in a year and you were not going to wear it.
Especially when it was involved in a criminal act.
You ripped it off your finger and chucked it at him. He swiftly caught it as if he expected that reaction from you.
“Get the fuck out of my house! And don’t you dare show me your face again!”
Taeyong slowly sauntered to you, a predatory look in his eyes. You backed away from him trying to keep a distance until your backside met the wall. He trapped you in his arms, resting his hands on either sides of your face and wore a smug smile. “I can. But what will happen to you?”
You blinked and attempted to gulp down the ball forming at the back of your throat. “W-What do you mean?”
He lifted one hand off and showed you the ring. “They’ll be looking for this and footage from the security cameras will show that there was a boy and a girl that left together with the ring.”
Oh crap.
“I’m an expert at running away without getting caught, sweetheart. But if you don’t want to get caught, then you’ll have to keep me around. I’ll make sure both of us will be safe.” Taeyong leaned close to your ear, whispering with a hot breath that sent a shiver down your spine, “It’s my specialty.”

Why there are difference of opinion about the selection of the correct gemstone.
There are many reasons as to why the people don’t use correct stone. There are different predictive science such as Vedic astrology, palmistry and numerology etc.
These 3 branches of prognosis has its own rule of remedial measures. The Vedic astrology prescribes gemstone based on ascendant, while palmistry has its own set of rule.

Since, these predictive science of astrology, palmistry and numerology has different rules of prescribing, it is quite natural that the gemstone will differ.
Why selection of the gems according to astrology is complicated
The Indian science of Vedic astrology is an oceanic subject. It is not as natural as arithmetic where you expect 4 plus 4 is equal to 8. In astrology, sometimes it might be 8, sometimes 7 and 9. The astrologer needs to work with such environment.
There are many factors taken into account while predicting human fate and recommending gemstone. Hence, there are difference of opinion.
Most of the people do prescribe lucky stone with the help astrology and gemmology.
Indian astrology has multiple methods of recommending gemstone. The first and foremost one is based on ascendant. The 2nd one is based on moon sign or Rashi. The third one is based on Mahadasha. The 4th one is based on Antardasha.
In fact, most of the scriptures do recommend lucky stone based on ascendant. While, some prescribe based on moon sign or Rashi. Some also do recommend gems as per the Mahadasha that the native is experiencing.
There is a reason as to why the nine gems are recommended as per the moon sign. Most of the people are aware of their moon sign. Either their parents have told them or they may have access to the internet where ample of articles and blog are available on the internet.
A layman can easily understand the gemstone as per the moon sign while reading the new papers, magazines and internet.
However, the genuine astrologer do study the chart thoroughly and prescribe the gemstone according to Indian astrology.
Hence, the selection of the gemstone according to ascendant is most acceptable.

April 2020

Naomi spent the whole March shooting her show in Berlin (as there was a theatre festival) and preparing the charity event for children. She managed to schedule everything– the place (Hyde Park), the catering, the guests. Obviously, everything was cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions. Everyone was forbidden to go to the tv studio, so Naomi worked on the new scripts of the episodes, watched movies, wrote reviews of new plays, etc.
Since their last lunch, Naomi had been regularly in touch with Henry, mostly via WhatsApp. They have met a couple of times. The more she talked with him, the more she liked him. He made her laugh. But not only that. He seemed to care about others, yet had this reasonable attitude - often saying that you can’t change the world alone.
She valued him for being the voice of reason. They have known each other for only two months, yet she told him a lot about her family and difficult relationship with her father (who was a real - life spitting image of Logan Roy from The Succession), her issues with James, her weird fascinations of criminal stories about murderers and disappearances and the II World War.
One day she had just come home and put the groceries on the kitchen island, when her phone buzzed. She picked up the video call. Henry. The thought of seeing his face and talking to him always shifted her mood. “Hello boy. Give me a moment I need to wash my hands. I’ve just been out in a bad, bad store.” She giggled and headed to the bathroom with her phone, placing it next to the sink.
“Of course. I can see your tits now, by the way. No worries though, I enjoy the view.” He chuckled lightly. Naomi rolled her eyes and quickly moved the phone to the higher counter. She took a minute to study Henry’s face. Something was off. She couldn’t tell if he looked sad or tired. It was off though. She was wondering why. In this very moment she also realized that he was one of very few people, who were… important to her. Not in a romantic kind of way. No. Naomi didn’t date, she didn’t want to build a relationship with any man, not anymore. Still, he was important.
“Helloo..” Henry waved his hand from the other side of the screen.
“I’m sorry. I thought of my round, perfect, little tits. Changing the awkward subject, how are you doing in times of isolation? You look tired. Is everything ok?” Naomi dried her hands with a towel, grabbed her phone and headed to the kitchen. She placed her phone on the kitchen island, leant on her elbows and focused on the phone screen.
“I’m fine. A bit anxious I think. Not my best day today. That’s why I’m calling. I expect to hear some entertaining story about your crazy childhood.”
She laughed, and thought for a moment. “I’m not in the mood today. You know, I almost got a role in the Moulin Rouge musical in the Old Vic. I mean I did get the part of Satine, and I was so excited, as it would be my debut after all these years. Unfortunately, they called today that due to the lockdown, the project has been entirely called off.” She shrugged “At least Netflix doesn’t disappoint. There’s the Money Heist premiere today.”
After a second she added “Join me today! Look I know it’s illegal, alright? But I can promise we will keep the two – meter distance. I can offer you good whiskey and whatever meal the chosen restaurant could provide. Except for pizza and other carbo shit. I’m on a low-carbo diet. You know I’d love to say I’m one of those women who can eat everything because they’re so cool and don’t care about their looks or have a wonderful metabolism. But unfortunately, I’m not them. My metabolism is my enemy and I do fucking care about how I look because the CEO of BBN asks about my weight like once a month.” She smiled at him “So, take it or leave it.”
“I take it. I can cook something if you want. Oh, can I take Kal with me?”
“Cooking – ok. Sounds cool. Kal – Henry, in general of course. But you need to keep in mind I’ve got two Pomeranians – and as much as they love people and small dogs, they sometimes hate the big ones. So, bring Kal with you and in case there’s war, I’ll take Marilyn and Audrey to my neighbor.”
They discussed the details about the dogs’ meeting and decided to meet at 6 pm. Naomi took her time to call her mum and friends, take her dogs for a walk and take a shower. Afterwards she applied a bit of makeup, put on her black Nike leggings and white tank top. She let her hair loose so that it could dry quickly. Just after she poured herself a glass of water, her phone buzzed and Henry informed, he’s waiting outside with Kal. Naomi called her dogs and all of them headed to the small park near her apartment. Naomi couldn’t stop laughing when she spotted Henry with the Salvador Dali mask on – a kind of tribute to Money Heist, which they were going to watch.
Unfortunately, just as Naomi thought, there was no love between Kal and Marylin. At least Audrey accepted the big bear immediately. Naomi decided to take Marylin to her neighbor, and the rest of them headed to her place.
Much to Naomi’s surprise, Henry cooked a delicious dinner, and they spent the whole evening watching five episodes of the Netflix series. Being her kittenish self, Naomi gently touched Henry’s knee with her toes from time to time. “Heey… relax.” She said with a smile. “I can tell you something nice, wanna hear?”
Henry raised his eyebrow and looked at her with a smirk “Go on, entertain me.” He gently rubbed her ankle with one hand, the other one was supported on the back of the sofa.
“Alright..” Naomi closed her eyes for a moment and enjoyed the delicate massage. Finally she looked him in the eyes. She smiled shyly and turned her face away, “Henry.. Do remind me please, is your dad a boxer?” She asked coyly.
Henry seemed a bit puzzled “No, no. Have I ever said that he was?”
“Well no...but damn, I’m asking because you’re such a knockout!”.
They both burst out with laughter.
“What a cheesy pickup line, I love it! Where do you know that from?”
Naomi started to play with her hair “Well, it happens to me all the time” she joked. “It’s nice to see you laughing.” She added after a second.
At around 3 a.m. they decided it was really late, so they were to terminate their evening with just one glass of Jack Daniels (due to her diet Naomi didn’t drink alcohol, but promised to have a goodbye drink).
Naomi brought two glasses to the living room and sat on the sofa. Henry was sitting on the opposite side. Once Naomi extended her hand and handled him a glass of whiskey, he slowly grabbed the glass with one hand and held her wrist with another. “What a massive rock!” He said, looking closely at her two - carat diamond engagement ring. He gently caressed her knuckles with his thumb. His touch, ever so gentle made Naomi shiver. Something about it felt so wrong and so right at the same time. “Has James proposed to you? I had no idea”. Henry let go of her hand and supported himself on the back of the sofa.
“No, of course not. It’s an engagement ring I was given by my husband. I often wear it.” Naomi didn’t like to talk about her marriage with anyone. She felt very comfortable with Henry and they talked about many personal things, but she never mentioned her married life.
Henry slowly nodded. “You never talk about your marriage.” He took a sip of his drink and after a couple of seconds asked “Do you still love him?”
Naomi zoned out for a second, focusing her eyes on the floor. Her hand tried to retrace Henry’s touch on her knuckles. This touch. So delicate. It was one of the most intimate moments she’s ever experienced. Why was it so intimate - she didn’t know. She had had a lot of sex lately. Mostly with James. James never touched her this way. Why? Why had nobody ever touched her this way, she thought.
“Naomi.” Henry’s low, but soft voice snatched her out of her thoughts. She looked at him with slightly parted lips. What were they talking about? Oh, right. Her ex-husband.
“Do I love my husband? Because I wear the engagement ring? No. Not at all. I just love expensive jewellery with big diamonds.” She chuckled looking at her engagement ring. “That’s the secret. But no. I have no feelings for my ex - husband. As for why I don’t talk about my marriage, there’s just nothing to talk about. I was 20, he was 34 at that time we got married. I wanted to be an actress, he was a serious entrepreneur. I wanted to run away from my mum, who was trying to take over my whole life, and he was looking for a young woman to build a home with. At some point it didn’t work out. We had a nasty divorce and division of assets. He then moved to Moscow, and as far as I know he still lives there. The end.”
Naomi refilled Henry’s glass with whisky, Naomi willed herself to focus back on the conversation and not on the ghost of his touch that lingered on her skin. “What about your love life, Mr. One Hundred Questions to Naomi Poesy?” She asked and winked at him.
“You know how it is Naomi. It’s just hard to get involved with someone, if you have this kind of job. It’s all about either accepting my schedule and traveling with me, or building a long – distance relationship. It hardly ever works. Also…”
Naomi suddenly held her right hand up in a stop gesture. “I’m sorry, but I just have to interrupt here. That sounds like you’re trying to find a justification. I mean – and I’m really sorry for sharing my opinion unasked – but building any relationship is hard in general. Do you really think your situation is any different from a situation of CEOS or anyone who has a career, money and power? The scale may be different but the issues are all the same. I mean a CEO of a big insurance company does have the very same problems. He asks the same questions - if his new other half is with him because of his status, money, position or because she’s in love. And the schedule thing – sure it’s hard to build a relationship when you’re on the set for a couple of months and it literally consumes all of your time. Trust me though, it’s not easier if you work as a physician or a lawyer, or if you work in a big tv corporation like I do. Instead of being on the set for a couple of months, people work their asses off every day, because they have loans to pay, plans to realize. And they usually don’t have any breaks. The fact that you get back home to your other half after 9 pm does not necessarily make your relationship better. It’s just the matter of what you’re expecting from a relationship.”
Henry just nodded and added after a moment “I just want to have a family of my own.”
“Well. But this is not the answer to the question of what you are expecting from a relationship. I mean, obviously everyone wants to start a family. The question is – what does it mean to you? Some want to start a family because they hate to be lonely, some feel like they need to take care of others, and some just feel like it makes them feel complete. You know sometimes you meet the person you resonate with, you feel the great chemistry with, but it just doesn’t work because of lots of other factors like the timing, circumstances etc. So, what I mean is that you really need to know what you expect from your partner so that you can fight for it.” She thought about what she said for a minute “Hm.. it sounded much wiser in my head before I verbalized it.”
Henry laughed and looked her in the eyes licking his lips. That gentle touch. After a few seconds of glancing at each other she smiled at him and shyly turned her face away. “Ok, enough. Don’t try to charm me here.” She grabbed her phone from the coffee table. “Man, it’s 4 am! I’m not surprised I’m bubbling something half intelligent. I should be sleeping already, I have promised to help Sarah tomorrow morning. This morning. If you want to you can stay, I have a guest room and a spare toothbrush.”
“Thank you, but I guess I better get back home.” He grabbed his phone and ordered an Uber. “I just have to say” he started as they both stood up and headed towards the hall. “You are so tiny without high heels!”
She laughed “No shit Sherlock.”
“No, but seriously. I wanted to say” he stopped there and looked at Kal. It seemed like he was fighting with his thoughts whether to verbalize what he wanted to say or not. “I really like spending time with you.”
Naomi crossed her arms over her chest. “I don’t date Cavill.” She said with a smile.
Henry just nodded and leaned towards her, so close that their faces were just inches away, and said “Well, pity.” He chuckled and leaned even closer to give her a goodbye kiss on a cheek “Bye, girl. Get some sleep.” He then took a step away and called for Kal, who was already bouncing on his legs ready to go.
Naomi reached to open the front door for them, but instead of doing it, she turned towards Henry and leaned against the door. She noticed his clenched jaw, then placed her eyes on his lips and eyes. She slowly grabbed the drawstring of his hood with her right hand and wrapped it around her fingers. “Hey.. I don’t, but what would you do if I did date…?” she asked playfully. She bit her bottom lip in anticipation.
“Naomi..” Henry smiled lightly at her, and tenderly touched her cheek, moving his fingers from her cheekbone through her lips to her chin. He was slowly studying her face. Naomi looked at him stunned, her lips parted, she was not expecting that.
“I’m 37. I’m too old to play this game. Please, don’t play with me.” He stroked her cheek once more with his index finger and stepped back. He fastened Kal’s leash. In the meantime Naomi unlocked the door and moved back.
“Goodbye” He gave her a warm smile and left.
Naomi quickly closed the door and tried to understand what had just happened. She felt all the emotions at once - arousal, humiliation, sadness, anger, happiness. She brushed her fingers through her cheek. That gentle touch. She took a deep breath. In her entire life Naomi had always been the “tough guy” - first in ballet school, at home, when her mother suffered from depression, and Naomi had to take care of her mother and her brother, then drama school. Establishing her position in television was not easy either. Oh, and her marriage. She was just a girl when she got married and her older husband always knew better. The random men she fucked after she got divorced. James. They all wanted to have her, possess her. And she kind of liked it. It made her feel attractive and in charge. But that touch was somethings new.
Naomi felt the tears welling in her eyes, as if for the first time in her life, she experienced such a gentle touch. And it felt so good.

[22:00]
Security already had every exit sealed and guarded when the lockdown began, men in cheap black suits hurrying around the hall with undying energy, suspiciously eyeing every individual behind dark lenses. The continuous beeping of metal detectors running over expensive, embroidered fabric melded with screeching complains from those high class ladies who's dresses were being invaded by glove clad palms. You couldn't blame them though, agents had some nerve when it came to patting.
A faint smirk hid behind the glass of champagne sprawling its sparkling sweetness on your lips when a small chaos burned all around the expanse of that majestic gallery. Security men frantically searching, guests slightly panicked while rambling on about the horrible turn of events and the host balancing between the stillness of shock and sudden outrages of desperation for the loss of his most precious item of property.
Little did he know, the stolen bracelet was nested in the silky embrace of your pocket, seventeen diamonds of 3 carats each secretly refrelcting whatever fractures of golden light made it onto their surface. You couldn't help but sense the tiniest of arrogant pride blossom in your chest as your nails scraped the luxuriously cut edges, cold yet so beautifully expensive. You were a part of, possibly, the greatest heist in the last decade after all...
"All set, Doyoung will be by your side in 3 minutes sharp." Taeil's voice buzzed in your earpiece and you slightly nodded at the hacked camera above, where he watched your response with red eyes and caffeine guided fingers zooming in.
And then all hail filthy riches.
You mentally counted seconds, gaze roaming over the tens of rubies and emeralds and colourful opals laying in red velvet and protected by glass cases. It was pity to leave all these pretties behind when they practically screamed to be owned but boss had given clear instructions and God forbid if anyone were to disobey Lee Taeyong's orders. Still, their iridescent shine was so tempting, capturing your fantasies of Franklin bills and gigantic bank deposits.
Just as you were about to search for your suit dressed partner, his cover as an agent providing the perfect escape to the finale of this grand heist, a cough echoed next to you, too close to be ignored. Your head snapped to its direction and met a pair of obsidian eyes, stoic yet tinted deeply with the print of mischief.
"Can I help you?" Your sweetest, most polite tone coated every word in pretentious oblivion as you lightly brushed a hand through your curled locks.
"No, but I can help you." His grin revealed pearly teeth that brightened when he took a step forward into the lighting and was now clearly violating the concept of private space, the curve of his palm landing a sizzling touch where he set it low on your back. "There has been a witness."
Every muscle tensed, blood almost freezing in your veins with the ring of his sentence in the back of your skull, something he must've felt since his grip tightened dangerously.
"What do you mean?" He couldn't know. It was impossible, the plan was flawless, every detail executed with immerse precision.
Unless...perhaps a snitch?
"Stop acting. Someone saw you very exquisitely shoving the missing white diamonds in that little back pocket..." His hand sneaked closer and closer to the treasure stacked under layers of creamy silk, flat against your hip.
And his fingertips delicately grazed the sharpness protruding ever so slightly, making your limbs burn with numbness. He knew and you had failed.
"Then, who is it?" You asked, thoughts leaping uncontrollably over one another inside your mind, desperate scenarios of attempts to fix the situation.
"Me."
You sucked in a forced inhale, deafening pulse thumping in your ears as if the spectrum of time had stopped. Who was this man?
"What do you want?"
His chest pushed against your shoulder gently, red tie dragging across dainty skin as he leaned for a spine-chilling whisper to escape. "A fair share of the prize."
"Deal" Your response was instant, not hesitating to save the night from undoubted disaster.
"Wonderful. We'll meet at your hotel room then, see you there." And with that his hand fell from your waist and he strolled away with unveiled grace, raven hair bouncing on every step. "Make sure you don't run into the cops on your way to the parking lot."
"Wait, how did you-"
"It takes one to know one, sweetie." A playful wink aimed towards you, coated in secrets and lingering insulation. "Name's Jeno by the way."
He got lost from your sight in the crowd of suits and flowy dresses, the chattering of nobility gentlemen and ladies blowing away the remains of your discussion.
Fingers promptly tapped on your shoulder and you turned to find Doyoung, black glasses and all, staring with a questioning gaze. The room suddenly felt thickly suffocating at his presence, because excuses had abandoned you long ago and it was time to face his maddening consequences.
"We have a problem."

Can you explain why jewelry is a bad investment?
So it's not really that jewelry is a bad investment - it's just that if you plan on investing in it to make money, you REALLY need to know what you're doing.
Jewelry is art the same way a painting is art. People invest in jewelry thinking "well, it's gold and diamonds, those have value, right?" A canvas and paint also have (admittedly much lower) value. But it's when you put them together that the magic happens - you get a lovely piece that you can keep in your family for generations!
When you buy jewelry, the average person goes to a regular retail jeweler. But the jeweler rarely mined the stones, cut them, mined the gold, refined it, designed the piece, cast it, set the stones, and finished the piece - most of the time, they only do the last 1-2 of those steps, if that! Each of these steps requires specialized, skilled professionals, and all of those people need to pay their rent too. So by the time the piece of jewelry reaches that retail jeweler, they have to pay the miner's salary, the cutter's salary (larger diamonds often have 3+ individual cutters working on the same stone at different stages), the refiner's salary, the designer's salary, the caster's salary, etc etc etc. Plus they need to make money themselves. So you can see how the price of jewelry from a retailer is going to be a bit higher than just the value of the metal and stones!
A lot of folks buy high-purity gold jewelry thinking "well, diamonds are worthless, but this is GOLD. At least it'll hold it's value and I can sell it for the price I bought it!" But sadly, it isn't the 1500s anymore - it generally isn't wise to carry the entirety of your wealth on your person. A major culprit of this is solid, heavy 18K gold chain. It's still only 18K (75% gold, 25% base metal) and it still had to pass through the hands of miners, refiners, manufacturers, polishers, and retailers before getting to you. While markups on chain and "basic" items like it are generally lower, everyone along the way still has to keep the lights on.
There are a few cases where jewelry CAN be a good investment, though!
You're able to buy the jewelry below spot metal price. This usually is only a possibility if you're a gold buyer, since you'll need to send it to a refiner to get any money out of it. For example, if gold is at $45.46/g (July 25 2019), 14K gold would be $26.50/g, so you'd need to buy at roughly 75-80% of that.
You buy jewelry at or near spot price, and resell it as a finished piece. Usually you can find good deals at auctions - I do this occasionally - but selling the piece again is a long process and you have to know what you can realistically get for it.
You buy a REALLY large, REALLY expensive piece. The more valuable the piece, the lower the markups get. On very large diamonds, retailers often only make 10% of the price or less! But "very large" doesn't mean a carat or two here - think more like ten. If you can invest at least a few hundred thousand into an item, you can pretty reliably expect it to increase in value over the next 10-15 years. At this point you can ignore the gold and any side stones (seriously). The value is all in the large diamond.
You buy a one-of-a-kind, high-end designer piece. Watches are big for this - a rare limited edition Rolex can double in value over a relatively short time. But again, don't spend only $1,000 expecting to get more than that back.
You manage to predict the Next Big Thing with total accuracy. Did you know that just 20-30 years ago, spinel was selling for dollars to a carat? Today, fine spinel can rival the price of sapphire and ruby! If you bought a bunch of nice spinel back in the 90s you'd be in a pretty good place today.
And I'll also note a few places people lose money on their jewelry "investments":
Pieces with a TON of small diamonds. It's easy to see a piece and think "wow, five carats total?" But when the individual diamonds are just a couple points each... yikes. Gorgeous piece of art, sure, but not an investment piece.
Large but low-quality pieces. Sorry, but a six-carat diamond that's pale greyish-yellow and has loads of eye-visible inclusions is pretty much never ever going to increase in value.
Smaller, nicer quality pieces. You might get lucky over a long period of time, but don't count on it.
Cruise ships. Oh my gods, just... please. Their high-pressure sales techniques focus a lot on perceived rarity and increasing values of metals and gemstones, but seriously, that 2-carat diamond? I can make a few phone calls and have twenty nicer ones shipped to me by tomorrow. They're plenty rare, but not THAT rare. Cruise ships also have huge markups on their pieces and tend to take advantage of people who are in a good mood, intoxicated, etc and more willing to spend.
Mall jewelers. These fall into the above categories for the most part. Just be cautious.
And back to the art analogy - you don't buy a painting from Etsy expecting it to go up in value, you buy it because you love it. You don't buy jewelry from your average jeweler expecting it to go up in value either.
If you want to invest in something a) consult an investment advisor and/or b) be VERY educated in the market you plan on investing in. No, the jewelry "education" you get on the cruise doesn't count. Neither does chatting with a salesperson for half an hour.
P.S. Bullion is a much safer investment than finished pieces and is what many people THINK they're buying when they buy finished pieces but forget that a finished piece is not the same as a brick of pure gold

You wish to avoid a diamond that's cut too shallow since the light hits the pavilion at a low angle. In a shallow cut diamond, the light exits through the sides, rather of showing through the table to your eyes. You likewise wish to avoid a diamond that's cut too deep. Learn more about how to select the perfect depth and table for your cut.
TIP # 5: PICK THE PERFECT METAL
There are 4 main choices when it comes to your setting metal: platinum, yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold.
First, select the color that complements your partner's style the best. If they tend to use silver fashion jewelry, select white gold, like a round brilliant halo ring. If they prefer more color, consider a rose gold ring. In general, we recommend selecting white gold over platinum. White gold is significantly less expensive (though looks identical) and requires less maintenance and cleansing than platinum.
Second, when choosing in between 14K and 18K gold, keep in mind that the main difference is in their alloy composition. 14K gold is 58.3% gold and 18K gold is 75% gold. Both are blended with other metals in order to be durable enough for fashion jewelry.
14K gold is the most popular metal for engagement rings, since it's cheaper than 18K however is just as beautiful and a little more durable. Eventually, however, the decision is a personal choice. For instance, a 1 Carat 18K yellow gold solitaire ring is just as spectacular as a 14K gold ring.
TIP # 6: SELECT YOUR SETTING
From the easy sophistication of a solitaire style to the ornate functions of a classic ring, you can discover settings to match any character.
For somebody who leads an active way of life or has a hands-on job, consider a bezel setting or a flush setting, since the diamond will not protrude as much as with other designs. For somebody who desires an unique ring, select something more custom like this unique yellow gold ring.

Diamond dealers like James Allen, Blue Nile and Brian Gavin Diamonds are not just trustworthy and reputable however offer a few of the very best inventory on the planet.
That's why we extremely recommend trying to find a ring through a trustworthy online vendor rather of any physical shop. You'll have a better choice and not pay more than you need to. If you fidget about buying a ring online, keep in mind that James Allen and Blue Nile have exceptional return policies and permit you to view every diamond up close before purchase. Overall, the very best place to purchase an engagement ring is from a vendor you can trust.
Tumblr media
TIP # 8: GO AND LOOK AROUND - START GETTING COMPARISONS.
Before deciding on the right engagement ring for your beloved, take time to carry out some comparisons. Do you like this halo setting from James Allen? Or do you prefer this three-stone setting from Blue Nile? Which vendor provides the most beauty for your spending plan?
Although it's definitely not needed, it's generally helpful to start looking for an engagement ring two to three months before you propose. You'll have time to search for the right vendor, limit your choices, order any custom pieces, and have actually the fashion jewelry made and delivered.
By looking at the subtle differences in between ring designs and diamonds, you'll feel more positive in your final decision.
TIP # 9: BUY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD.
Among the lots of engagement ring shopping pointers, you may have heard the advice that you need to spend 2 or three month's income on an engagement ring. Our company believe you shouldn't follow particular "rules," as they are often tricks created by diamond online marketers and sellers. Instead, you need to identify your spending plan by looking at your monetary circumstance in addition to any particular desires of your fiance-to-bé.
In addition, by purchasing a ring you can pay for, you'll lower your monetary tension and any anxiety. The focus will rather be on your partner and the excitement of marrying the love of your life.
TIP # 10: GET SIZED EFFECTIVELY
While it may appear apparent, selecting the right ring size will help to keep the excitement rolling after the proposition. If the ring does not fit, it may make it harder for it to seem like it's the "right ring." An inaccurate size likewise indicates you'll require to send out the ring in for resizing, which can take anywhere from days to weeks, depending on the style of your setting.
To get the best ring size from the start, attempt to find out your partner's size ahead of time by measuring another ring in their fashion jewelry collection or utilizing a totally free ring sizer.
TIP # 11: DON'T FORGET THE SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE.
When there's additional belief behind your ring, it adds more of a story to your proposition and engagement.
Fortunately, there are a lot of ways to include sentimental worth to your engagement ring. Consider household treasures, specifically if there's a special ring that can be resized or a diamond that can be reset, such as one from a granny.
Other choices consist of signifying that your partner is both your friend and fan by developing an Ever Us ring-- or by selecting a gemstone ring created with their birthstone.
TIP # 12: DON'T HESITATE TO BE DIFFERENT
You do not need to buy a freshly mined diamond or a pre-made setting. You can wind up with a truly initial ring by considering choices like a recycled diamond or a customized setting. Recycled diamonds are formerly owned, environment-friendly diamonds that have actually been returned in the diamond supply chain. They might be contemporary stones or European cuts. Customized settings are offered from lots of jewelry experts, including Brian Gavin Diamonds and James Allen.
Another option for a personalized ring is selecting a colored diamond or gems. This yellow colored diamond ring, for instance, is spectacular and unique-- and this sapphire halo engagement ring definitely stands apart from the crowd.
TIP # 13: BE SURE TO GET A CERTIFICATE
We encourage our readers to always ask for a laboratory certification on any diamond. The most reputable laboratories in the industry are the GIA and AGS. Having among these certificates validates that the diamond you're receiving is undoubtedly the diamond the vendor is offering you.

Smooth Fire Chapter 3
Link on AO3 | Boku no Hero Academia | Bakugou Katsuki x Kirishima Eijirou Summary: Kirishima goes undercover to become Bakugou’s baby and find information to bring him down. Chapter: 3 of ?
The special art is what I commissioned from @ichigomaniac of the boys’ outfit! I love Lissa and their art, and I had to commission them for this. Please go give their blog a look!
With Bakugou’s strong hand giving him the leverage he needed, Kirishima exited the car in one fluid motion. Next to Bakugou he stood to his full height, the city wind rippled his blouse and the loose strands of his red hair lightly. His appearance finally revealed to their onlookers.
The screams and shouts, and click of cameras exploded.
“It’s a man!”
“Who is he!?”
Reporters who were mixed in with their photographers tried to yell questions, but they were loss to the sea of chaos and swell of voices. Bakugou grinned smugly.
“You know how to make an entrance.” He teased in a low voice. He moved Kirishima’s hand to hold the inside of his arm so he could lead like a proper gentleman. Kirishima smiled, his free hand came to lay over top the one holding the inside of Bakugou’s elbow.
“This little fire has to come out with a bang, right?” Kirishima teased with a bat of his eyelashes that got Bakugou’s grin to widen.
Tumblr media
“Let’s head inside.” Bakugou lead Kirishima down the red carpet, attention on Kirishima instead of the swarm of paparazzi trying to interview them on the spot. It felt like they were gliding through a sea of lights. Kirishima could already foresee Kaminari calling him in the morning, if not later that night, for being plastered all over the celebrity news and papers for being seen in public with Bakugou. Up the few stairs to the huge tinted glass doors, a man from inside opened the door for them. Bakugou let Kirishima enter first, hand moving to his lower back, and Kirishima was left to be blown away by the interior.
It was a large lobby with an indoor fountain complete with a swan sculpture taking center stage. There were four different elevators around the space and a large oak wood desk, much like a hotel would have. Kirishima tried not to look too out of place as they walked to the counter.
“Welcome to Retro’s Bakugou Katsuki, and welcome to your guest.” The man behind the desk bowed to them both.
“I trust everything I’ve requested has been taken care of.” Bakugou said, a certain look in his eyes as he looked at the concierge. Kirishima couldn’t decipher the look.
“Yes sir. Your table is ready,” His hand motioned to a tall American man in full waiter dress that came to stand beside the desk as he bowed to them. “Ronald will be your waiter.”
“Please follow me,” Ronald said. Bakugou nodded his head in approval to the man behind the desk, then lead Kirishima after their waiter to an elevator. Kirishima honestly didn’t know what to expect. He had only seen what had been advertised on television and magazines. He knew Retro’s had floors of dining areas, kitchens, special meeting spaces, and even more that made him dizzy trying to remember it all.
Ronald held open the elevator’s doors for them, the elevator having a glass back. Their waiter hit the fourteenth floor button and it was quick to begin its ascent. Once they started to pass the second floor they could finally see out the glass back, and Kirishima couldn’t resist to turn to look out. The sun had already set and the views of the city’s lights were gorgeous.
“You like it?” Bakugou asked, body turned to view it with him, hand against the small of his back.
“Yes,” Kirishima nodded. “The way the lights shine is incredible… it’s so beautiful.”
“I’ll show you a more amazing sight after dinner.” Bakugou’s hand traveled lower as he spoke until he cupped the swell of his ass.
“Bakugou!” Kirishima gasped, quickly swatting at his hand. The man chuckled and turned Kirishima around just as they reached the fourteenth floor. Kirishima entered an awed state again, and he had to accept that this night was throwing all the dates he has ever had in his life completely out the window. Bakugou was treating him to a fancy night out at a restaurant that probably cost a pretty hefty fortune – and he had zero clue on why.
“Right this way.” Ronald held the elevator door while they stepped out. It was a gigantic restaurant space, one of the many floor levels, with gigantic windows all around, a simple bar, lovely tables, and low lighting. All the tables could be seen but it was obvious that each table was its own private space. Kirishima was sure he saw the Prime Minister, and most certainly a few celebrities. They were led to a table by the window where a gorgeous bouquet of red roses waited, along with a bottle of champagne, and rose petals spread across the table. It was their own personal set up. Bakugou held out his chair so that Kirishima could sit down.
“Bakugou, did you do all of this?” He asked, looking up at the blonde as he sat. Bakugou looked smug as he undid the button of his suit jacket as he rounded the table and sat across from him.
“I did.”
“This is so much – everything’s gorgeous.”
“And we’re next to a beautiful view,” Bakugou’s hand motioned to the window beside them and Kirishima was taken away with the undeniably stunning view of the city. After marveling at the sight, Kirishima looked suspiciously at Bakugou.
“If we hadn’t just met, I would suspect you’re proposing to me.” It came out rather bluntly, but he needed it to be said because it truly felt like Bakugou would plop a ring down on the table at any moment. While they spoke, Ronald poured their champagne and set down small menus, before he left to give them a moment to talk and look things over. Bakugou sat back in his seat with a coy smile on his face, watching him.
“A proposal would be sudden, and not at all what I’m going to do. But,” Bakugou reached into his jacket. “I did buy you jewelry.”
“You – wait, what?” Kirishima watched as Bakugou pulled out a long, black velvet box. He slid it across the table, disrupting a few petals, and opened it. His eyes widened, shocked by the necklace that sat inside. It was a gorgeous Mikimoto* necklace of pink gold cherry blossoms and a single pearl. Most of it was a simple gold chain, but at the center was the cluster of delicately placed cherry blossoms with tiny pearls in the center of each cherry blossom, white diamonds in between, and the large pearl dangling down below them. “This is…” Kirishima struggled to speak.
“It’s Mikimoto’s Cherry Blossom necklace. Every year they come with a new design and this is what it will be this year. They will sell it later on this year.” They hadn’t even released their designs for the year yet. How did Bakugou even get his hands on it? “It’s eighteen carats pink gold with white diamonds and white south sea cultured pearls.”
“This had to have cost a lot… they haven’t even released this yet.”
“It’s nothing.” Bakugou waved his hand, leaning his elbows onto the table.
“I don’t have the slightest clue on how you would’ve gotten your hands on this!”
“Child’s play really.” Apparently so!
“Bakugou… this is too much.” He tore his eyes away to look up at Bakugou’s intense gaze. “I can’t accept this.” He couldn’t decipher what the man might be thinking with giving such a gift that had to be more expensive as an engagement ring. They had only met once. At the club. They hadn’t even fucked yet!
“Why not?”
“We’re not dating, we’ve just met, and this is our first date.” Kirishima raised his eyebrow at Bakugou. “It still feels like you’re proposing with such a lavish gift.”
“Hm.” Bakugou seemed to contemplate for a moment, hands clasped together loosely. “All true, but I want to spoil you. You’re already irresistible to me Kirishima. I want to monopolize you.”
“And what if I don’t let you?”
“I’ll keep trying till you agree.”
“Bakugou, I don’t even know that much about you, and you know nothing about me.”
“Then we’ll get to know each other.” Well, that caught him off guard. Bakugou leaned forward, the intent of his eyes boring into Kirishima. He could see the feral want in him, and Kirishima had to resist trying to rub his thighs together to create friction for his already tightly restricted cock. “In the meantime,” Bakugou stood to walk around the table. Once around Kirishima, he picked up the necklace from its box and hooked it gently around his neck, careful not to clasp any of his loose hair into it. “Please accept the necklace.” He returned to his seat and gave him a lustful smile. “It looks great on you.” Kirishima looked down, able to see the necklace, and very cautiously touched it. It had a bit of weight to it, and it was indeed absolutely, stunningly, gorgeous… He looked back up at Bakugou and let out a soft sigh, a smile grew across his face.
“I can’t say no if you look at me like that.” Kirishima finally gave in to Bakugou’s persistence.
“The night isn’t over yet – we’ll see what else you’ll accept and enjoy.” Bakugou’s face held mischief, and he racked his brain for possible guesses of what Bakugou might have planned.
Finally, they looked over the menu. Kirishima ordered Wagyu beef, vegetable tempura, and miso soup while Bakugou got Fugu, fried rice, and seaweed salad, and they ordered some Otoro** for them to share. They hardly waited ten minutes with their champagne before their order was brought out to them. Most of the dinner was spent in relative silence minus the comments about the food and the view. Kirishima was more than satisfied with such an expensive dinner. After Ronald took their plates away, Bakugou sat back, serious about getting to know each other.
“Before we get on with the rest of the evening, I feel like we should settle our stomachs and talk about ourselves, ask questions, that sort of thing.” His words were rather polite despite his brash personality.
“Agreed,” Kirishima nodded his head in confirmation. “So, pretend I haven’t heard a thing about Bakugou Katsuki… tell me about yourself.” Kirishima’s head tilted slightly to the side, watching the blonde carefully. Bakugou smiled as he sipped some champagne, setting down the glass.
“My name is Bakugou Katsuki, twenty-six, and I’m a very handsome man.” He winked and Kirishima couldn’t help the small giggle that left him. “Just kidding,” He chuckled low. He was finding that Bakugou did have a great sense of humor (though some may have called it ego) and it pulled at his heart strings. “I’m a business owner of two businesses that have made me a very wealthy and sought after man. When I was twenty I started Lord of Explosions, which is a manufacturing and warehouse store of fireworks. You may also have heard of my mother, Mitsuki, who started the research facility and pharmaceutical manufacturer Mitsuki Pharmaceuticals. I took that over when I was twenty-one, though my mother had been prepping me to take over since I was in high school.”
“Wow~” Kirishima whistled softly. “That is two very big companies. You truly must be wealthy.” It was shown well with all the lavish gifts and treatment he had received in just this night alone. But, was all of that money earned legally?
“I made my first million within the first six months of opening my business.” Bakugou proudly stated.
“Remarkable.” Kirishima clapped his hands together lightly. He decided to delve deeper into the enigma that was Bakugou Katsuki. “It’s impressive that you started a fireworks business on your own. If you don’t mind me asking Bakugou, why did you choose to open a fireworks venture?”
“Well, I was a mischievous little shit growing up.” Bakugou chuckled fondly at his memories, and Kirishima instantly began to wonder what he looked like as a young brat. “Truly was an asshole… but I liked playing with fire, and fireworks. You could say it matched my explosive personality.” Did he still have that explosive personality or was he all sparklers now? “You could say it attracted me with its’ own explosive nature, and I wanted to control it. Then, I wanted to learn how to create the designs, and the colors, and that made up the beautiful and explosive quality of a firework.”
“Wow… that’s really interesting.” And it was something he had not known about Bakugou, so it was good to gain all the intel he could. It also showed Bakugou was willing to talk about himself and open up.
“I guess so,” Bakugou then smiled, leaning forward. “Now, Kirishima, why don’t you tell me about yourself?”
“Ah ha, my turn now, huh?” Kirishima laughed softly, and Bakugou joined with a chuckle and a nod of his head. Thankfully Kirishima had prepared for this. And he had decided his name would be easier to give since he already gave his first name, and his files had all been changed in the system to match his undercover identity. “My name is Kirishima Eijirou, I’m twenty-three, and currently I’m an editor for an online journal and blog called ‘Pampering Yourself First.’ It’s about self-care and ways to spoil yourself.” An undercover job they had started him on as soon as possible. He was actually editing articles for them, and had been since he had been given the case so that it was a reliable background.
“You don’t write any articles yourself?”
“I was only hired as an editor. I could submit a piece if I really wanted to – they take submissions and pick one to highlight every week.” It wasn’t what he was doing it for though, and editing was easy. Writing a whole article to keep an alibi job up? That was a bit extreme and unneeded, not that he couldn’t do it and didn’t like writing.
“I know you could do it if you wanted to. Bet they would accept the first one you submit.” Kirishima laughed.
“Are you challenging me to write one?”
“I’m just saying why be an editor when you could be the writer? Not that being an editor means little.” Bakugou smiled back at him. “Just want to support you best.”
