I've been wanting to branch out into a more minimalist style for a while, and found the opportunity to do so when I was struck by the coding bug over the weekend and began to experiment with a more semi-transparent style of index that eventually evolved into this. I tried to keep the skin as light as physically possible, with minimal Javascript or Jquery inclusions, and instead tried to optimize it to build off of HTML5 elements as best I could without needing to weigh it down with more external resources.

The Immortales skin is a dark themed, responsive skin for Jcink forums, and is optimized for Google Chrome. (Cross-tested in Opera GX and Mozilla Firefox.)

Quick update on my skin, Lesser Deities! Finishing up the Main Profiles (two different types, writer and character) and Members List.

Making sure each part of the Main Profile is adaptable, accessible, and modular — so you can add or take away different lil boxes, depending on the space you need and the info you wanna display, and the design will automatically adjust.

I'm a massive sucker for "features," so I'm working on styling FizzyElf's thread tracker for the character profiles, and added a comment section! I think it'd be fun for profiles to be less "static" (just glancing at them to read up about a character) and more "interactive" (your character can drop by and leave a direct comment on another's profile, ic or ooc).

hi forrest! i'm encountering some issues getting the thread/posting templates to work on your nessun dorma skin. it's a really lovely skin and i'm blown away that it's free so i hope this issue can be resolved when you have time! i've double checked that the forums i'm posting in allow dohtml and the css for the posts is in the style sheet so i'm not sure what the cause could be. i hope this summer treats you well and thanks for any insight you might have!

I've been wanting to do a minimalist, high-contrast skin for a while just because they tend to be a bit on the simpler side, color-palette wise. Since I've been re-binging The Order on Netflix lately, it kind of influenced the theme of the skin a bit. (In case it wasn't obvious, lol.)

The Magicka skin is a high-contrast, dual-mode skin for Jcink forums, and is optimized for Google Chrome. (Cross-tested in Opera GX and Mozilla Firefox.)

finally, we’re so happy to reveal our skin for académie magique. the skin base is called creature fear and it was coded by monty, and has been modified by the staff at académie magique. the code comes with matching templates that make the site both cohesive as well as accessible to all of our members, including thread templates, owl post templates, want ads, and more. we will be asking that no outside doHTML be used anywhere but the development forums.

our skin is optimized for google chrome, but has been tested on most browsers, and no bugs or performance issues have been found.

Graphics 

we have several graphics that will give your profile and posts a spark of personality attached to your character. all of the graphics automatically resize for the best quality. due to wanting to keep our site accessible, moving gifs will be used only in the avatar section.

mini profile avatar: 200x400 main profile image: 900x350 small rectangle profile image: any size rectangle, will resize to fit! avatar: 70x70 minimum, will resize.

Fire in Bone Templates Pack (WIP)

There are 4 basic templates that come with the Fire in Bone skin. The promised extra templates pack is coming soon. That’s mostly what this post is for, but I have one done, so I thought I’d share a preview. 

I hit a bit of a snag with this and my commission in progress when I hurt my hand this week and couldn’t really type. And school is gonna be incredibly intense the next 4 days. But after that, I’ll have a week to work on this and the commission. (: 

So far planned: multi wanted ad template (preview above), a tabbed plotter, guidebook, letter template (this was requested), another regular thread template, and a couple of simple development templates. 

That might not be exactly what’s in the pack (though wanted ad, plotter & letter templates are for sure), but that’s the plan. Also, it will be $15. Unlike the other templates, it will be doHTML (the others built into the skin are custom bbcode).
