it’s been awhile since i’ve posted one of these, and this is maybe TOO small of a portion of my collection given that uh. there’s quite a few dolls. But I had to take them down for a little bit and figured i’d celebrate putting them back up!

New little guy arrived!!! Finally, finally, I can get into my interest in doll customizing. Bought a super cheap Bjd and baggy clothes for it so that I'm not dumping a ton of money into a hobby I may or may not like. This will probably become an Alan doll everyone remembers Alan my beloved alan

I haven’t bought any RH dolls in a long time cause I ain’t got no room for more dolls at the moment but gahdamn those G2s are ugly 😭 they slashed the budget on them dolls. Ugly outfits and cheaper dolls with less articulation. I’m tired

not tf, just some object head doll custom thoughts

So i got this toy tv that i wanted to put on the first doll body to make an object head, but after actually putting them i don't think that i like the proportions. So maybe i should use the second body instead (plus it has additional pairs of hands with various gestures).

btw i do think we should have more movies about lesbians who are fully realized complex characters who ultimately achieve happiness in ways they may not even necessarily deserve and get to ride into the sunset with their lover because lesbians deserve to know that a happy ending is possible despite how unrealistic it may seem and despite a world that doesn't understand or support them. and i think these movies should depict sex and fetish content because it's hot and because lesbians deserve to know that no matter how messy or "weird" their desire seems it's real and it's even worth celebrating. and if you don't agree. well. you should not be allowed to watch movies

i won't FULLY believe it until I'm holding him physically in my hand but I pounced on a Kieran Valentine doll listing because it was exactly what I wanted; OOB, without wisp, and not 500-1000 dollars. It doesn't have his outfit, but I already yoinked his jacket from another listing online and frankly, I sewed the rest of his outfit from oscar de la renta fabric in brocade and silks, it's already nicer than anything else mattel could make for him. I still feel like my brain is buzzing even though I got him late last night because holy shit! I haven't scored a proper grail doll since...damn, pre-covid, because of how bad the hobby market spiraled. (not that I haven't been buying dolls. God knows I have been buying dolls. But to me a grail doll is something that is no longer in production and/or was always a limited or restricted release. So.)

the thing is, I've had a custom Kieran WIP going for awhile; I had to wipe and re-do it because of a paint issue, but now I'm like. Well I don't want to abandon it because hey, took me forever to track down those parts for a decent price, and I spent fucking hours paint matching skin color but the question is, do I want to do a just straight up Haunt Couture style "Kieran but Fancier" custom or do I want to do a g3-style version of him (less likely, bc I am praying we maybe see an official one??) or do a version of him for a g1 line that I really love??? if so which?????

Anyway. I'm so so so excited and will post pics when I have him. Still mulling over what to do for the alt, now!
