I worked vigorously. if I was particularly lecherous it took about six days to produce a 20-page comic. I also grew in status so quickly I actually bcoame sponsored by a gaming company, offering me a $500,000 check for permission to feature their promational characters in my comics. How could I decline? I sat on the toilet, feeling clenching my stomach. Somehow, the baby felt...lower? I couldn't describe the feeling. It was a bit annoying having to pee every 8 minutes. Finally, it stopped. I got up, just about ready to leave the restroom to start my stream when a waterfall suddenly poured out from my inner regions followed my an immense pain from my stomach. Oh no. It's time. I screamed as i fell to my knees. How could I have been ignorant about the pain of labor? "What's wrong, Lily?" K asked as he flipped from the bed and laid his hand on my shoulder. "Are you alright?" "Does it look like I'm alright you dumb little butt-brain? I'm going to give birth right here, right-ow! Ow! Oooooow!" I shireked between clenched teeth. K wasted no time to rush to the bathroom and return with some towels. He laid them out underneath my thighs as he spread them apart. "Now Lily, I know this is going to hurt, but try to push between breaths." K said as he gently pressed his hands below my stomach. "Euuuugh-huff-Euuugh-EUUUUGH!!!" I pushed and puffed, as K pressed his hands as the last few squirts of fluid gushed out.

6 years ago: Kendra answers Batman’s summons to join the Justice League after the active membership vanishes to ancient Atlantis.

Ray Palmer is murdered by his ex-wife, Jean Loring, under the control of Eclipso. In response, Hall nearly murders Loring in cold blood, only stopped by the intervention of Kendra.

Kendra and Carter are called upon to fight in the war between Rann and Thanagar. While Carter remains on Thanagar, Kendra returns to Earth to put some distance between the two of them.

4 years ago: Kendra moves to Los Angeles, also joining the restructured Justice League and starting a relationship with Roy Harper.

3 years ago: Carter returns to Earth, only to be swept up in the Blackest Night. He and Kendra are seemingly killed by the reanimated Black Lantern corpse of Ray Palmer, but survive thanks to the curse placed on their reincarnation.

1 year ago: Kendra reluctantly accompanies Carter when he invites her to learn the secret of their past lives together.

Present day: Kendra is offered the reins of a major motion picture, and struggles to divide her time between her job and hero work.

Commentary:

And now: Kendra “screw destiny” Saunders. I went into most of the detail on the Hawks in Carter’s post, so here I’ll be focusing on what’s unique to Kendra, her ongoing fight against the pull she feels toward Carter, which is Chay-Ara’s spirit guiding her back toward her “soulmate.”

Due to a wrench thrown into the works of Khufu and Chay-Ara’s reincarnation cycle, Kendra doesn’t have the privilege of having memories of her past lives. Being Kendra Saunders is all she’s ever known, and she doesn’t care what her fate is, she wants to live her life how she chooses, especially if that means dating other men just to spite Carter.

Kendra’s got a troubled past and a fierce independent streak as she toes the line between embracing her destiny and outright rejecting it - despite everything, she still wears a variation on Shiera’s uniform, and still finds herself by Carter’s side more often than she’d really like. Will she fall victim to fate and end up linked to him again? Only time will tell.

Imagine:

Set during 'Frightingale'.

Marinette dresses up in the Ladybug outfit (sans mask), all the events leading up to the tension-filled moment, right before both Marinette and Adrien hold the masks in their hands, before Clara gets akumatized, are the same.

Except, that's not Adrien.

It's Felix

Adrien is terrified to out himself like that, so he panics in the room, doesn't even get called out. Why? Clara got ahold of Felix (who suddenly flew to Paris for a 'surprise' visit), dressed up as Adrien, thinking he is Adrien and gives him another Chat Noir suit.

Felix, thinking he can cause mischief, obliges, commenting how distasteful the suit is and what he would change about it...etc.

Cue Marinette and 'Adrien' all nervous etc. Felix tries to over exaggerate, he jokes too hard, puns too hard, flexes a little too much, even flirts but the crowd buys it, hell, even Marinette buys it.

'Wow, these people are blind.' Felix thinks.

Slowly, it kinda gets fun for him so he continues the charade. Until they have to don the masks.

He didn't think this through, why was the girl in front of him looking so nervous for? Were the masks cursed? She looked ready to flee.

Felix, trying to keep the suspense, tries goading Marinette to try on the mask, commenting how she'd 'make a purrfect Ladybug'.

Cue Marinette having an identity reveal crisis

"Wait, what?! Chat Noir?! No, but it can't be-! But he's so convincing!"

Frightingale attacks, the crowd begins to disperse and running away screaming and panicking

Before Marinette could react to transform somewhere, two hands grab her.

One belongs to 'Adrien'

And the other to...

Chat Noir?

A fully transformed Chat Noir stands beside her, fully alert. "Marinette, quick you have to hide!"

"C-Chat Noir?!" she's floored but then laughs at herself.

Of course Adrien wasn't Chat Noir, what was she thinking?

While Chat Noir makes sure Marinette gets outside safely, he turns quickly towards 'Adrien' with narrowed eyes. "Um, Adrien Agreste, right? I think I saw some blond boy around here, looks like you, your brother? Cousin? Well anyway, he's looking for you and really worried, go wait in the park near the Francois Dupont high school, I sent him there!" before he leaves

Felix mumbles under his breath, saying how he's not understanding all the hype around these heroes.

He was sure he would make an even better Chat Noir

Even that Marinette girl bought it

Felix tries not to think about where she might have went, he goes to the park Chat Noir told him about.

Cue Ladynoir defeating the akuma...etc.

Chat Noir doesn't fist bump LB bc he's too worried over where Marinette went. LB detrasnforms, Chat Noir finds her just where he left Marinette to hide. He takes her back to school.

She thanks him and he comments how 'You really looked like the real thing out there, you know? I bet you'd make an awesome Ladybug, princess.' before he rushes away to transform back, leaving a mildly blushing Marinette behind.

Felix observes their interaction, finds her blush interesting, thinking she got a crush on a superhero (secretly wishes he could've donned the mask and pretended to be Adrien longer to cause more chaos)

Adrien confronts him about the suit, replacing him on stage...etc. Felix apologizes, says how he wanted to surprise him and how he missed him, had no idea what was going on so he just played along like the good old times.

The next time Felix visits, he sets his sights on Marinette, trying to drop too obvious hints about him being Chat Noir.

Adrien notices, finds it very weird and there's this oddly tense and charged atmosphere whenever Chat Noir and Felix are in the same room (alone).

CN has his hackles raised and is highkey suspicious over Felix.

Felix challenges him and tries to bet who could make the baker girl fall for them faster as a game.

Chat is super pissed. "Hey, this is not a game! I dont know who you are or why you're doing this but stay away from Marinette!"

Felix, wearing the devil's smirk. "Or what? Is the kitty going to show me his claws? What's it to you if I pursue her, hmm? It's not like a superhero could be in love with a civilian, can he?"

Chat tries not to reveal anything and moves to leave. "Whatever you do, it better not hurt Marinette in any way! Or next time, I won't be so nice."

Felix smiles.

Slowly, he takes out his phone and calls someone.

When the voice on the other line answered, Felix smiled.

"Everything according to plan, I trust you have what I want?"

"Yes. I trust you've kept your part of the deal?"

"Of course. I've managed to gain some very interesting information about Chat Noir, but I'll need some time to deliver you a full report."

"Excellent. You've proven useful, after all. Consider your services done as soon as you give me your findings and in exchange, you'll be compensated for your troubles."

"That's what I hope for. It's nice doing business with you, Hawkmoth."

Jacksepticeye Dead at Age 30

Sadly, Seán William McLoughlin, better known as Jacksepticeye to his YouTube followers, died today. Seán was in perfect physical and mental health, causing his sudden demise to be quite the shock to the internet as a whole.

At 4:20 this morning, Mr. McLoughlin ran out of his house completely naked save for a WineRack bra full of Hi-C Ecto Cooler Citrus Juice and a 5-lb(2.27 Kg) laptop strapped to the side of his head. Mr. McLoughlin then proceeded to run down the street ringing bells and shouting: “HJONK! HJONK! AM GOOSE!”

After running nearly 5 miles(8.05 K) he stopped dead and shouted: “THE HJONKENING IS AT HAND!” He then spontaneously combusted.

Police and fire officials are baffled as to how this occurred, as there was nothing highly flammable or combustible on Mr. McLoughlin’s person at the time.

Some experts theorize that Mr. McLoughlin was driven insane due to social distancing and isolation enforced by the current global quarantine. Others have donned similar garb and begun worshiping Geese, believing Mr. McLoughlin’s final words to herald the end of days.

LET ADRIEN BE CAT NOIR

I am frustrated by the fact that most people who ship Ladrien, MariChat, LadyNoir, and Adrienette seem to ship them in this love square because people freaking forget that these are the same people. Marinette is Ladybug and vice-versa; same goes for Chat and Adrien. This frustrates me because it’s as if people forget that Marinette is a hero even when she’s not wearing the suit, and Adrien is a hero even when he’s not cracking awful puns. People forget that these people are one and the same, and that Mari and Adrien don’t just randomly transform into actual different human beings  when they don their suits. Ladybug is still Marinette, and Cat Noir is still Adrien.

One of the main reasons why I need people to remember that they are the same person is because I need them to be whole. If we ship them with the love square, we neglect aspects of their personality that make them who they are. For example: if we ship the narrative of MariChat, we may neglect Chat’s more “Adrien” traits: gentleness, politeness, and having “intellectual” abilities like speaking foreign languages (Chinese), playing the piano, and fencing. Instead, we focus on the more “playful” parts of him: puns, cockiness, jokes, etcetera. If we run with a narrative where we ship MariChat (without a reveal), and the ship sails, then there would surely have been a choice within Marinette/Ladybug wherein she decides “I will commit to Cat Noir now, and I will stop liking Adrien.”  Essentially, she is choosing Chat over Adrien (even though they're the same person, but she doesn’t know that). Her moving on from Adrien would mean her rejecting the side of Chat that is Adrien. This shouldn’t happen because if she loves him then she can’t just pick and choose which aspects of him she likes better. It just fucks up my mind to think about what that would mean for them when they show up to each other as Ladybug and Adrien  and they don’t love each other because they’ve decided to commit to somebody else (even if that somebody else is just them but in different clothes.) And if they do end up in a relationship but they also have feelings for their other identity wouldn’t that love be untrue, in a way? I mean, sure, they’re the same person, but they don’t know that the person they still have feelings for and the person they’re in a relationship with are one and the same. They’ve basically decided to commit to a relationship despite having feelings for other people (which, again, is just them but they don’t know that). Imagine what the implications of that would be if they weren’t one and the same. What if Adrien really wasn’t Cat Noir? Wouldn’t there be trouble brewing because of the fact that they’re in a relationship but they love someone else?

Also, we have to think of Ladybug and Marinette as one and Cat Noir and Adrien as one because that is how we get the full spectrum of their personality. If we ship them in Ladrien, MariChat, LadyNoir, and Adrinette, we’re ignoring the other aspects of their personality that make them, them. My whole point is that we shouldn’t ship Ladrien, MariChat, LadyNoir, and Adrinette exclusively; instead, we should ship them as them. Them as the whole persons that they are. We should ship the Marinette who is Ladybug with the Adrien who is Cat Noir.

Idk I’m not getting my point across clearly, but I hope someone understands.

Anyway. In order to let our 2 main characters fall in love with one another while also letting them see their whole individual personalities, we need them to reveal their identities to each other *before* committing to a serious relationship.  In order to do this, we need them to be friends first and foremost. We need them to have an established friendship before they reveal their secret identities. Then, and only then, can they start to fall in love.

(Also, sidenote, this is also part of the reason why I think Marinette should dial down on her crush on Adrien. That way, they have more time to develop their relationship with each other as friends and discover one another and build a good relationship without the strings of a romantic relationship. Chat’s crush on LB isn’t as bad because he still recognizes her faults as a person and he helps her. In short words, they’re a team, and they’re equals. Marinette’s crush, on the other hand, is like hero worship. But I digress. )

Additionally, we should also let them see the full spectrum of each other’s personalities, whether they are in hero-mode or just average-person mode. This isn’t that big of a problem when it comes to Marinette (and I’ll call her Marinette because she is, first and foremost, Marinette. She is Marinette before she is Ladybug. Her being a hero shouldn’t  define her whole being or eclipse who she really is. She is Ladybug, yes, and being Ladybug is a huge part of her; but she is Marinette first: strong-willed, creative, a good leader, a person with a big heart, and so much more. She is a hero in her own way even when she's not being Ladybug, and remembering that it important.) because her personality as Marinette already mixes well with her Ladybug persona (she has the same. Adrien, on the other hand, is different.

See, I think that one of the reasons why people continue to ship Ladrien, MariChat, LadyNoir, and Adrinette as if they were different people is because they can’t think of his secret identity and hero personality as one and the same. Hero-version acts differently from normal-version. This isn’t that big of a problem with Mari, as I said, because Marinette is still essentially herself even when she’s being Ladybug. Some of her characteristics are more prominent, it’s true, (e.g we see a lot more of her serious side because when she’s Mari we mostly see her a. stuttering over Adrien b. falling all over herself and being clumsy or c. being mad at either Chloe or Lila) but she is still herself. We have already seen Marinette exhibit some of her more “Ladybug” traits even when she’s not saving Paris.

But when it comes to Adrien, we don’t often see him acting like his Cat Noir self. For whatever reason (though I presume it is because he, as a model and as the son of a movie star and a famous fashion designer, has a reputation to uphold, and also because he might be cautious about what he can say or do because he has been sheltered his whole life and he doesn’t want to ruin his experiences in the “outside world” by doing something wrong) Adrien has rarely ever shown his pun-loving wild side show when he is in public as Adrien. Adrien is a lot more mature, careful, and polite than Cat Noir because his personality and his social standing won’t allow him to show that side of him. This might be the reason why his Cat Noir persona is so vastly different from his Adrien persona (hence why Mari immediately dismissed the idea of Cat Noir being Adrien in Lady Wifi). Because of this, not only do the characters in the show dismiss the idea of Adrien being Cat Noir; we, the audience, have a hard time reconciling these two personalities as well, even though we know on a surface level that Adrien and Cat Noir are one and the same. Sure, there are moments where Adrien acts like Cat Noir (e.g at the end of Evillustrator where Adrien asks Marinette what it was like hanging out with Cat Noir) or moments when Cat Noir acts more mature and less playful (e.g in Antibug where Cat Noir gives Ladybug advice and questions her wrong actions) but the majority of the time we see a playful Cat Noir and a calm and collected Adrien, with the two rarely ever mixing.

This, I think, is one of the main reasons why we continue to ship Ladrien, MariChat, LadyNoir, and Adrinette. Because Adrien-Adrien is so different from Cat Noir-Adrien, we have created different ships that will let us choose which side of him to ship with Marinette. Shipping Marinette with the gentle, polite, intelligent, and refined Adrien is way different from shipping Mari with the playful, joking, pun-loving Cat Noir. The different sides are so different that they’re almost the opposites of the other.

If we used Marinette as a basis (Mari and Adrien vs. LB and Adrien (Adrien being the constant) or Mari and CN vs. LB and CN (Cat Noir being the constant)) there wouldn’t be that big of a difference. Sure, different aspects of her personality will become more prominent, but we would still ultimately view her as one person. Ladybug is Marinette just as Marinette is Ladybug. It doesn’t go the same way with Adrien.

My point can be seen more easily if we used a reveal scenario: if it were revealed that Marinette has been Ladybug all along, people would be shocked, but they would connect the dots pretty easily. Marinette is creative, kind, has a good heart, and has a rich imagination which allows her to come up with solutions even with the most bizarre things. She has a strong sense of justice, and speaks up when there is something wrong. It makes sense. Why wouldn’t she be Ladybug?

If it were discovered that Adrien was Cat Noir, people would not only be shocked, they would also be confused and disbelieving. Adrien? The calm, collected, fragile, gentle, sensitive Adrien? The refined and polite Adrien? He’s Cat Noir? Isn’t he super courteous in real life? Isn’t a bit unrefined to make jokes, like those puns, especially coming from a guy who is super classy? It jUsT dOeSn’T mAkE seNsE!

So, to solve all this, I come upon my final point, the reason for this whole spiel: let Adrien act more like Cat Noir.

He doesn’t have to do it all the time. Just show us a few scenes of him exchanging puns with Nino.Let us see him act playful and cocky. Just show us more of Adrien letting his playful side out.

Story: In the November of 1999 his mother had been murdered and his father had disappeared. With no family stepping up to claim him he was soon taken into a foster home. There, after being tormented by some of the other foster kids, his Stand awakened.

Ever since the discovery of his abilities he began to wonder about the true nature of his father: Did either of his parents also have powers? Why aren’t there anymore leads? Was his father really the one who killed Dear Rosemary like some speculated? Desperate and without anywhere else to look or anything else to lose, he turned to the Mafia for help, for he believed his father must be hiding somewhere in there. The Don placed Uriel in the care of La Squadra, and there the story tainted with sin and tragedy really begins.

Timeline: Takes place in Italy in early May 2003 (at least, that’s what they all believe.) It technically takes place after Stone Ocean in [spoilers].
