hey. non-jewish advocates for palestine. we need to talk.
PLEASE remember that jewish people are not the enemy. freedom and justice for palestine is not incompatible with protecting jewish people. anyone who tries to convince you that jewish people are standing in the way of freedom for palestine, and that something needs to be done about us, is an opportunist using palestine to target jewish people.
this goes ESPECIALLY for people who are not themselves palestinian or connected to palestine.
there are so many jewish people fighting for palestine's freedom, putting ourselves in harm's way, losing people in our lives because of our unconditional defense of innocent people living and dying in gaza. don't ignore that when you see people making sweeping statements about jewish people. don't ignore antisemitism masquerading as pro-palestinian sentiment.
we are not enemies. we are not on opposite sides. don't throw us to the wolves or excuse antisemitism in the name of the cause. so many of us fight for palestine - when you're confronted with antisemitism, please fight for us, too.

it's kind of baffling to me that entire sub-groups of queer folks endured a decade of being singled out and targeted for being asexual, aromantic, bisexual, pansexual, nonbinary, polyamorous, etc. and i have yet to see any substantial apologies from people who were directly responsible for causing genuine harm. i find it completely bizarre that there are so many people who want to sweep their past contributions to widespread lateral aggression toward specific queer groups under the rug like it didn't happen so they can wash their hands of it... there are people who are irreversibly traumatized because of this. there are people who took their lives because of it.
i'm wording the post like despite the fact that exclusionism targeting these groups (and more) continues to persist partly because it was a really frighteningly common trend to harass people just because they were ace, aro, bi, pan, nonbinary, poly, etc... and it's crazy to me that many of the people who were affected by this massive multi-pronged public online bullying campaign against the 'unacceptable types of queers' are the ones still receiving messages like "my url got put on an aphobe blocklist in 2016 because apparently a post i made making fun of asexuals got some teenage asexuals harassed and i still distrust asexuals to this day because of that" ...are you fucking kidding me?
we will never achieve any kind of unity as a queer community while we are insisting upon ignoring the hurt that lateral aggression has caused, and acting like the burden lies on the shoulders of the people who were harmed to forgive the people who harmed them and 'just move on', many of whom are not sorry for what they did! or they don't consider what they did to be wrong! how is that not deeply disturbing and troubling to more of you?
03/06/2024 edit: i’m putting a complete moratorium on this post because i am really sick and tired of having my point not only completely misconstrued and distorted entirely but also weaponized against transfems (particularly in replies i have decided to delete about how “ugh yes, exclusionism, and now transfems are bullying transmascs”) i find that really sickening and i’m demanding that it stop, and i can make it stop by turning off reblogs. so i have.
my objective in writing this post was never to request an apology from people who have been laterally-aggressive exclusionists in the past. i don’t think we’ll ever get more than a handful of apologies from those people, anyway. my point was that it was pretty terrifying to witness and experience a lot of lateral aggression that transferred from the real, in-person world to the deeply online spaces back into the real, in-person world in a really fucked up feedback loop and being a young queer person during this time and having that shape me, snd shape the experiences of my queer friends who have been traumatized by it.
however, it is absolutely unacceptable to me that the issue of transmisogyny is so blatantly overlooked by our entire community. for decades, transfems have experienced oppression and exclusion from transmisogyny-exempt women and queers. their exclusion from political queer liberation movements has caused many of the major schisms within our community we are still having arguments about to this day. if you want collective queer liberation, you must uplift transfems. there is no other option. you don’t get to write off all transfems just because one person who happened to be transfem was mean to you online or something.
i have answered and responded to way too many conspiracy-brained transmisogynist reactionaries to allow this post to keep fucking snowballing with people writing paragraphs in the tags about “transmisandry” or “transandrophobia.” please get your heads out of your asses.
this absolutely is the transmisogyny website, as always, and the place where all basic textual comprehension skills go to die, apparently.

Hi! I’m not sure if you’re taking requests.. (if not just ignore it) If you do can I ask for Zhongli waking up reader from their nightmare? Fluff fluff✨
Have a nice dayy
Nightmare
The murky water: thick, stifling, all-consuming. It makes its way past your mouth that gasps for air that never finds its way into your lungs, past your eyes that try and fail to find any beacon of hope.
It's hard to move - you feel heavy, and any swimming expertise you might have fails to rear its head as you flail around in this ocean of black, black darkness. It's like you barely have any control over your body - like a hapless ragdoll, you find yourself at the mercy of the ruthless untamable.
The waves submerge you, hardly having faced a fight. Down into the depths you go, the water pulling your body in different directions. Eerie voices whisper and leer at you as your limbs struggle in one last futile attempt...you're being torn apart...what are the voices saying?
Incomprehensible...
Suffocating...
Paralyzing...
Silencing...
...
"Darling. Darling?"
Oh, so this is what it's like to die. You wake up in heaven with your beloved being the first face you see. Or...no, what happened was-
"Did you have a nightmare?" Zhongli pulls you close without even needing to wait for a response, because he knows. Of course he does.
When you murmur a meek 'yes,' Zhongli kisses your forehead and wipes away tears that you had barely realized were there.
"I'm here, my darling. I'm here now. Nothing shall harm you." He rocks you back and forth at a languid rhythm, stroking your back while he allows you to stew over it quietly. "If you are willing, would you like to tell me about it?"
You drop your tired gaze to the warm, fuzzy blanket covering you both. "It's...it'll sound silly..."
Your husband kisses you again, so tenderly your soul might just melt. "Nothing you say will sound silly, my love. What you have felt in the moment will never be silly."
You find a small smile creeping onto your lips, and so you tell him all about the dark sea, the crushing waves, and the utter helplessness you felt as you slowly drowned.
Zhongli nods solemnly after you finish recounting your nightmare. "Yes, that does sound frightening," he says, running his fingers through your hair. "I'm sorry you had to experience that. I would have been afraid too, had I been in your position."
"You get scared of things, too?"
"Of course, dear. It is one of the factors contributing to my...distaste of seafood." Perhaps it's your imagination, but you can feel him nearly shudder against you.
Your sniffle turns into a soft giggle. "I didn't think of that."
He holds you in silence for a while, punctuating it with gentle kisses and soft whispers of affirmations. The way his arms envelope you is so...comforting, so warm, so protective. You barely register that you're lying back down on your pillow again in a more relaxed position, your tears long dried-up, his arms still wrapped around you with that same protectiveness.
"Shall I give you a nicer dream tonight?" asks Zhongli.
You look into his faintly-glowing eyes. "You can do that?"
"I am an adeptus, after all. Shaping dreams comes second nature, much like sub-space creation."
Smiling softly, thanking all the stars that you found a man like Zhongli, you say, "Yeah. I'd like that."
He caresses your cheek. "Tell me. What shall I have you dream of?"
You don't even hesitate. "You and me, stargazing atop a hill. We would even catch colorful falling stars, because we'd be so high up and super close to the sky." You blush, feeling a little silly for saying it now.
But Zhongli had already made it clear nothing you say earnestly would be silly. "A fine dream," he murmurs, "one I would love to share with you. Now close your eyes, darling, and I promise to meet you there atop that hill where we can catch the stars together."
The God of Contracts never goes back on his word - when your eyes close you find yourself lulled into an easy slumber; and when the initial shroud of black gives way, there stands your husband under a zoetrope of dancing stars, with a smile as warm as the spring sun.
He beckons, and you happily approach.
Finally getting around to requests! Please feel free to drop anything in my inbox, Zhongli-centric of course, and I'll be more than happy to whip something up~

i have another 2.1 character dynamic post in the recesses of my brain but i need to get this out first
star rail's 2.1 update main plotline leans a lot more into existentialism and absurdism than i thought it would which is a really nice surprise
like i thought before 2.0 that at most it was just going to be some "oh no capitalism bad ipc bad cults also bad" thing but honestly what we got is so much more interesting. the spoilers start now
also massive disclaimer i am not a philosophist and actually i really don't like philosophy because it makes my brain hurt and i would much rather just look at logical nice things like math and plants so. if i get anything wrong please correct me
acheron's past and how she became an emanator of nihility reminds me somewhat of the absurdist theme of how people always look for meaning when there isn't any, until they finally realize that the universe is meaningless
and the entire path of nihility basically is a road towards that realization that people tread on, and the difference between the real world and star rail is that in the real world here we have people who will see that and then go write a book about a guy not crying at his mother's funeral, whereas in star rail it seems that just accepting that the universe is meaningless turns you into a pathstrider or even emanator of the nihility (not sure if i remember the details, correct me if i'm wrong)
and then aventurine's whole motivation is trying to understand why the universe is so cruel to him, and to find meaning when you have everything except freedom, both of which are absurdist themes
the leap of faith argument often attributed to søren kierkegaard claims that even though there is no rational logic for believing in god, you should do it anyway because the alternatives are madness, suicide, and ignorance. this was one solution to the problem of confronting the universe's meaninglessness: choosing to believe in a higher being regardless
later world wars i and ii both contributed heavily to the rise of absurdism as people returned from the war, having seen so many others die around them, and then just going back to a normal society with none of what they as individual soldiers had contributed seemingly doing anything. and then it happened again, but on a much greater scale with even more deaths. both wars and the destruction they brought led many people to start questioning why a supposedly moral god could allow this suffering, and this is where camus comes in and says that actually religion and nationalism both aren't good solutions, and instead we should just accept meaninglessness and keep living despite the absurdity
and i think dr ratio's scroll thing kind of relates to that
he tells aventurine to open it when he's about to die, or when he's completely out of answers for the question of how to confront absurdity
and dr ratio's answer for aventurine is to just tell him to keep living, good luck
which is. yeah
it's the argument that there are more answers to nihilism than just 1) going insane, 2) pretending like it doesn't exist, and 3) dying
it's the bold claim that despite everything, you can still choose to live
sure nothing makes sense but that does not detract from your life. it doesn't need to make sense at all
and with the understanding that things do not need to fit our human definition of meaning, we can continue on knowing our true place in the universe
and with that aventurine walks into the very big black hole like look at that thing you cannot tell me there is no symbolism there
Tumblr media
let's go back to acheron.
in the part where you get a snippet of acheron's conversation with some guy just before this cutscene, the other party states that "[IX] leave[s] woven strands of fate for humans to walk, and together THEY weave a great shadow...And this shadow silently envelops them."
which to me sounds like a statement on how people across time and space have again and again come to the same question, what is the meaning of life?
and acheron's whole color thing seems to mean that she is one of the few who, after walking so far on the path of nihility, somehow have not died yet, be it from madness or something else
like it seems implied that many many more have seen the meaninglessness of the universe and have not reacted as well as acheron has
ok i have more to say about the elation and how it in turn relates to the nihility but that will have to come later but there is. a lot of interesting things there to explore
once again disclaimer: I Am Not A Philosophist And Do Not Know What The Correct Definitions Of These Words I'm Throwing Around Are. thank you for coming to my ted talk that was more of a longwinded ramble

11 and 22 if you're choosing violence? 😈
11. number of fandom-related words you've filtered Answer here! but tl;dr: about 30 or so 22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores Chantry history!! CHANTRY HISTORY!!! While the pre-Chantry era (e.g. the Magisters Sidereal, Andraste) frequently comes up both in-game and during fandom discussions, outside of the Exalted March on the Dales, I rarely encounter much talk around the early centuries of the Chantry as an establishment, and how it solidified its political power. I think this in turn leads to a lot of my major bugbears with Dragon Age fandom, such as: 1. reducing the conflict in thedas as purely a mage vs. templars issue: we now have clear evidence that there's much more happening! the qunari are advancing south! of course, the templars (and mages) were a HUGE part of southern thedas's defenses! while corypheus might have failed in his goals, the entire south is still in. shambles, which leaves them vulnerable to further incursions.
2. speaking of incursions. the qunari. i feel like people sometimes forget that the qunari wars were relatively recent (the llomerryn accords were only signed in 7:84 storm! ~150 years before current events!), and prior to that, they had amassed so much territory across tevinter, rivain, antiva and the free marches that the imperial chantry and the southern chantry had to team up (unprecedented!) to force them back. anyway we know the qunari are coming back and they are NOT fucking around. i just. haven't seen this discussed much lately? (although please, someone, anyone, if i am missing a conversation somewhere PLEASE let me know. i wish to devour it whole with my eyeballs). also the codices in the history of kirkwall series mention how instrumental the chantry's mages were in combating the sarebaas during the qunari wars, which is only more incentive for the Chantry to keep a tight hold on the mage population (of the ones who are useful enough to fight wars or otherwise contribute to the cause, that is...) 3. basically, i'm just fed up with how huge chunks of the fandom criticise the worldbuilding and writing, especially when it comes to the interplay of political power. of course, there are groups that are more complicit in various atrocities than others! but without examining the reasons behind these issues, it's not actually possible to develop viable long-term solutions to these problems. without a thorough understanding of why something came to be the way it was, the oppressed can so easily become oppressors bc. well. power corrupts!! and if one looks at dragon age through a lens of it being a story about geopolitical and the corrupting properties of power, it feels like to me it's very obvious what story the team is trying to tell? don't get me wrong, of course there are always critiques to be made of how bioware is telling that story. i can understand that there are times where the team fumbles the ball or addresses something clumsily, and i think there are a lot of valuable conversations to be have on these matters! but it often feels like people are more invested in discussing the game they wished dragon age was rather than the game that actually exists. so often posts that gain traction these days are like 'this is how i would totally revamp character x/event y', and while i think that can be a useful exercise too, it just feels overpowering at times? that like, there's this sense that everyone agrees that the same things are wrong and must be fixed, which is. frustrating. because again, we are all different people with different experiences! we connect with parts of the narrative, different parts of characters! we are all complicit in our personal biases!! and i feel like there would just be. a lot less defensiveness and hard feelings if people allowed each other more space for alternate perspectives on the games. my own takeaway is this: personally, i think that dragon age, at its core, is a cautionary tale against hubris, and more specifically, the hubris of any one individual or group thinking they know what's best for everyone. of how, as people, we're more powerful when we're able to put our minor differences aside to tackle the bigger problems. of how everyone is coming from their own experiences and backgrounds and how that impacts their behaviour in the present and future. of how some narratives can be more dominant than others. of how history is never 100% certain. and in light of this, and the state of dragon age fandom as a whole, i have chosen to view the fandom as an elaborate piece of community performance art (of which i am also a part). this in turn makes the whole endeavour less frustrating, and dare i say it... sometimes even fun.

How to Improve Self-Discipline
Let's talk about the magic ingredient that turns dreams into reality and doesn't abandon you like motivation does...
Set Clear Goals: Begin with the end in mind. Define your short-term and long-term goals. Make them specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Having a clear vision provides direction and motivation.
Create a Schedule: Design a study schedule that aligns with your goals. Allocate specific time slots for studying, breaks, and other commitments. Consistency is key, so stick to your schedule as much as possible.
Prioritize Tasks: Not all tasks are created equal. Identify high-priority tasks and tackle them first. This ensures that you're focusing on what truly matters and making progress toward your goals.
Break It Down: Large tasks can be overwhelming. Break them into smaller, more manageable parts. This makes it easier to stay focused and maintain momentum. Celebrate small victories along the way!
Eliminate Distractions: Create a distraction-free study environment. Turn off social media notifications, silence your phone, and find a quiet space to concentrate. Minimizing interruptions allows for more effective and efficient study sessions.
Reward Yourself: Positive reinforcement works wonders. Treat yourself when you achieve your milestones. Whether it's a small break, a snack, or some leisure time, acknowledging your accomplishments reinforces the habit of disciplined study.
Stay Accountable: Share your goals with friends, family, or fellow Studyblr enthusiasts. Having a support system helps keep you accountable and provides encouragement when you face challenges.
Learn from Setbacks: Embrace setbacks as opportunities for growth. If you miss a study session or don't meet a goal, reflect on what happened, adjust your approach, and move forward with renewed determination.
Cultivate Healthy Habits: Physical well-being contributes to mental focus. Ensure you get enough sleep, stay hydrated, and engage in regular exercise. A healthy body supports a disciplined mind.
Continuous Improvement: Self-discipline is a skill that can be honed over time. Be patient with yourself and commit to continuous improvement. Learn from your experiences, adjust your strategies, and evolve as a disciplined learner.

V- Space Between Pt.3 - Unnerved
-----------------------------------------------Sleep Token fanfiction exploring lore and a few things between. I will TW scenes/chapters as needed, if I miss something please DM me.
Previous Chapter - Space Between Pt.2 - Pillow Talk
Edited: 8/2/24 Word count: 888
-----------------------------------------------
Months passed with little change, but Vessel could see a progression in his music. Inching closer and closer to his life being exactly what he wanted it to be.
Nights spent in Sleep's arms were sporadic and at times, tense. He didn't want to question her, to let his impatience get to him. Craving Sleep never ended, despite their issues or time apart. They were both under different stresses, but he was determined that they would beat everything. That they could push through any hardship, and he would do anything to make her happy.
While nights with her were sometimes scarce or ended too soon, days with Whisper were never ending. She was everywhere all the damn time, and it wore on his nerves, even when she didn't speak.
Just knowing she was there, out of view, watching him constantly, it was grating on his patience. With everything else going on, he struggled to feel at peace if he wasn't in a dream with Sleep. II was into his ideas for the band but without knowing it, his contributions made Sleep a little stronger. A little more able to work in her own realm toward making things happen for them.
Vessel was restless after going over a new song with II, tension building as every insecurity lingered at the edges of his mind. He paced, played on the piano, made food only to leave it on the counter to pace some more. He wanted to do everything, and yet found himself incapable of doing anything.
He couldn't focus. Couldn't decide what was the best course of action. Work on new music? Decide on masks? Find new venues that would take them? There were aspects to this he hadn't even considered before.
"What is this?" Whisper asked and Vessel restrained himself from lashing out.
She was staring at a mask hanging from the back of his bedroom door. There were a few laying around in plain sight until he decided what design to go with. However, one in particular had caught Whisper's attention despite the others.
"What do you think it is?" he asked, tone dripping with sarcasm.
Whisper didn't seem to notice. She blinked at the mask.
"Her presence lingers," she said, tilting her head.
That caught Vessel off guard. "What do you mean?" he asked, hands falling to his sides.
Whisper took a too-deep breath and held it, expanding her bony ribcage. She held it for too long, only movement in her shadow body being her ever-shifting hair and a subtle flicking at the end of her long, slender tail. Fuck sake why was she like this?
"I can feel Sleep in the mask," she explained slowly, tasting each word. Choosing carefully, though he couldn't decide why. Spindly, clawed fingertips reached up to linger over the surface of the mask but she didn’t touch it. "The mask is not Sleep. But Sleep can be in the mask. Has she attempted to possess you?" Pinprick pupils turned to him, flickering like weakened flames of candles just before they are snuffed.
Possess him? "No. Listen, I get the feeling you know more about her than you let on."
"Hmm, somewhat, perhaps." Whisper’s hands clasped behind her back, the sudden motion causing her form to shift out of existence a moment before she returned. "I cannot see what happens when you are with her as she does not allow me in, but I am you, so I get impressions. Also, your body responds when she visits you. I can always tell when you are with her in a dream."
His cheeks flushed. While he didn't want to ask, she looked at him as if he did.
"I am not human, but I believe it is called an erection."
"Fuck sake don't say that," he groaned.
"Is there a more preferable term?"
"I mean, don't talk about it at all. Why the hell does every word out of your mouth have to be so damn uncomfortable?"
Whisper blinked. "I am unable to understand what makes you uncomfortable."
"Everything. Just, fuckin' everything." He threw his hands up. "The way you linger in the shadows, your spooky eyes,  the way you smile like you want to eat me alive—"
"I do wish to consume—"
"See! That's exactly what I mean. You say things that I don't know what to do with. Listen, just... go away. I don't want you asking me weird questions, poking around my stuff, watching me while I sleep. None of that."
"Then what shall I do?"
Vessel let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing his temples. "I don't know, go watch tv or something."
"Ah yes, the television. I hear the neighbors listen on occasion. You know, they are quite active during the night. Rather physical."
"Please shut up." He went to the living room and she followed. He put on a show, some random reality cooking competition, then ran her through the basics of the controls. "You can read, right?"
"Of course." She stared at the remote.
"Good. Now stay here and leave me alone. I have music to write."
"Very well."
Before he went to the spare room, he took one last look at her; little more than a shadow hovering over the couch, tv screen reflected in her eyes. A moment's peace and quiet. Finally.

A DAZZLING GUIDE TOWARDS VENGEANCE
Ch 4 : Good game.
Other chapters
TWs for this chapter: explicit content, mean!reader, teasing, angst, dom!Vi, manspreading, manhandling, hate sex, choking (/kink), oral sex, slight blood (/kink), 'pretty girl' pet name.
You and Violet were walking down the street, passing the bottle of the rum between you and having deep, nonsensical conversations that, for some reason, sounded funny to you. You were both exhausted, but it was the blue hour and you definitely wouldn't have minded staying under the dark sky glowing blue some more time.
You led her a few steps further until you reached a window that happened to be part of a hotel. "What are you even doing?" Violet said as you broke the lock, opened the window, and lifted your body to enter the room. "We're in Piltover. I snuck into the reception as soon as I found this place. I know this room was unoccupied, and I'm not paying a single coin to these rich fascists," you explained.
For some reason, as you looked at Vi and your eyes locked for a few seconds, you began laughing. "It's good to know that tiredness and alcohol have the same effect as smoking a gram," you said before fully jumping into the room.
Vi shook her head, chuckling to herself before jumping inside the room, using her arm for support. This night must have been the first time ever you and Violet had shared a laugh without any third parties contributing.
The room was spacious, with a king-size bed, a sofa with a TV in front, a refrigerator, a large bathroom, and plenty of space in between. You took off your corset vest and long gloves to let your body fall onto the bed, face down. Violet sat on the sofa, manspreading and turning on the TV. "This is too bloody comfortable," you groaned.
Vi took another sip of her rum, and her gaze moved towards your lower body. You caught her looking as you turned around, laying on your elbows. "You're disgusting," you said.
Vi shrugged and leaned her head back as she sat, continuing to drink, almost emptying the bottle.
You ran your tongue over your teeth and stood up abruptly before getting near the sofa and snatching the bottle out of her grip. "Take off your jacket, lift your top, and lean backwards," you demanded.
"I don't remember you being this bossy. Yours first," she challenged.
You gave her a deadly glance. "All right, all right," Vi chuckled.
She did as you told her as you went to the bathroom to grab a small towel that was hanging on the wall. When you returned, you put yourself on your knees in between her legs, pouring some of the alcohol on the little towel you had found. Violet looked at you, smirk wider than usual. You raised your gaze towards her face to know that you had to press the cloth against her wound quickly before she could find anything to say about your position. So you did, perhaps, and only perhaps, purposely pressing harder to be able to feel her abs.
"Fuck," Vi threw her head backwards. "I don't think you need to press like that for this."
“Oh, I think I do," you replied, pressing even more. Vi groaned again before grabbing your wrist. "That's enough, yeah?"
You snatched your wrist out of her grip and looked up at her, fixing your gaze. You lifted your top slightly to break the material with your teeth in a straight line, and Violet caught a peek at everything she was allowed to see.
You passed the cloth around her body, making sure to tie it tight to protect the wound.
The last time you had sex was two months ago with a pretty, feminine girl you met at the club. On the other hand, when it happened with Violet that one time
The last time you had sex was two months ago. A beautiful, feminine girl caught your eye at the club and after you realised she had been looking at you the entire night. You ended up at her apartment, where you pulled the dominant act you liked to pull with one-night stands. However, when it happened with Violet years ago, she had managed to make you squirm with pleasure. You had convinced yourself that memory disgusted you.
Meanwhile, Vi had not engaged in any sexual activity since being released from prison for a week a year and a half ago. Looking down at you while you were on your knees in front of her only served to remind her of what had happened between the two of you two years ago. Just like during your entire fight at The Last Drop a few days ago.
Now, tired and drunk, you couldn't help but feel aroused by the way Vi was looking at you as if she wanted to devour you. Before things could escalate any further, you abruptly stood up and broke eye contact "Are you planning on finding somewhere to stay for the rest of the night?" You asked, your tone dry and unemotional.
"Yeah, no. I'm heading back to Zaun as soon as I make sure I'm not leaking any more blood," she replied.
"I am curious to know how you plan to do that, given that the majority of the people here who could afford a vehicle have already fled this area," you retorted.
“Right."
"Right. You can sleep on the couch," you stated, before entering the bathroom to cleanse yourself of the blood that had coated your body. With no spare clothing available, you took your clothes with you.
As soon as you came out of the shower, dressed again, long curly hair wet, you found Violet reclining on the couch, her footwear removed. Though you thought that she would be asleep by now, you also remained alert, as if the alcohol had prevented your own slumber. Or perhaps the underlying issue was your mutual distrust of one another, which made it difficult to relax in close proximity.
"You know, I actually find the bed to be quite sizable," Violet commented, smirking in your direction.
"And I find it much more enjoyable to occupy such a space all by myself, rather than anywhere near to your persona," you retorted.
"You are particularly ill-tempered today, aren't you? Ruder than your usual self," she observed.
"I beg to differ. I am simply being honest," you replied, your expression contorted in annoyance.
"Sure, you're one honest woman aren't you?" Violet muttered, switching off the television before settling more comfortably into the couch.
Ignoring her presence, you licked your lips before reaching for the refrigerator and withdrawing a bottle of water. For several seconds, you drank in silence, before asking, "What exactly are you insinuating?" Your gaze narrowed as you spoke, and you consumed another gulp of water.
"You're acting like a complete cunt. That's what I'm saying," Violet snapped.
Your mouth fell wide open, brows furrowed. "Fuck you. The only reason I'm agitated is that I have yet to acquire that psychotic schizophrenic you call your sister's head," you countered, your tone venomous.
This was a lot more like your old conversations.
Rising abruptly from the couch, Violet approached you with dangerous intent. "Watch your fucking mouth, Red. I have put up with far too much from you," she hissed, closing the distance between you.
"Or fucking what, Violet? You're gonna slap me and leave me for some fucking degenerate man to find me?" Perhaps you had transgressed a boundary, but your exhaustion, inebriation, and —as you would always deny— that fervent desire for Violet when she was enraged, impelled you to utter those words.
Without delay, she clutched your neck and slammed you against the fancy room's wall. "Never speak of her again," she hissed.
As she tightened her grip around your throat, you gazed up at her, counting how many times you both had been in this situation, either switching roles or not.
"You know that's not going to happen," you said, struggling as you spoke. "Do it," you challenged.
Violet couldn't fathom why you weren't doing anything more apart from holding her wrist. You always liked to instigate a quarrel between you both. However, deep down, you knew that —despite the hatred— she wouldn't kill you anymore. She had become too intertwined, fond of your relationship. And so had you.
Your breath was running out, but you were sure that she would release you soon. She had to.
Seconds ticked by until, as you anticipated, she loosened her grip on your throat. What you didn't expect was for her lips to crash onto yours.
You responded quickly and eagerly, the kiss revealing the passion that both of you had been suppressing.
Violet's hand moved toward your lower body, while still gripping your neck. Unconsciously, she tightened her grip, causing you to arch your body into hers. "You like that, don't you?" she said roughly, more a statement than a question, allowing you a moment to catch your breath. Your eyes met hers, conveying the deep loathing you both felt for each other.
You kissed her again, your tongues intermingling and deepening the kiss. Violet lowered her kisses towards your neck, sucking and licking as if she had been starved for days.
Your body responded to Violet's touch with an electric jolt that shot through your veins, igniting every nerve ending in your body. You arched your back, pressing your body closer to hers as she worked her magic on you. Her fingers danced across your skin, leaving a trail of heat in their wake.
Her lips were on yours once again, as she kissed you with a ferocity that left you breathless. You pulled her closer as you deepened the kiss.
But just as quickly as it had begun, Violet's touch was gone. She stepped away from you, her eyes filled with a hunger that mirrored your own. "Take off your top," she commanded, her voice low and husky.
You hesitated, unwilling to give in so easily even though the desire in her eyes was too much to resist. "Fucking hell, Red," she snarled, grabbing the hem of your top and tearing it from your body. She paused to survey your torso, however,  she refrained from saying anything as she sat on the bed, her legs wide open.
"Come here," she demanded. As you approached, her hands trailed down your back, sending shivers down your spine. You felt helpless under her touch, you wanted nothing more than to stand between her legs and kiss and bite her until she bled. She gripped your chin, forcing you to look into her eyes. "You want me, don't you?"
You tried to resist, even though the truth was written all over your face. You were hot, wet, and eager to touch her. "Fuck you," you spat, even as your body betrayed you.
Her jaw tightened as if she was struggling to resist the urge to give in to you completely. But there was something about you that drove her wild, something that made her desire you more than anything else. "Yeah?" she said, pulling you closer by your naked waist. "Say you don't want me to fuck you," she said as her thumb sneaked under the waistband of your panties.
"I don't." Oh, but you did.
"Alright," Violet said, even though she knew you were just as hungry as she was. You felt her touch leave your body as she stood and moved past you.
She pulled the window open. "Your jacket." You signalled her towards the couch, arms crossed.
Both of you were refraining from giving in, waiting for the other to make a move. Only when Vi was about to pass over you did you both act. You grabbed the collar of her top and pushed her towards you. She did the same thing but pushed you towards her by your waist.
The kiss got rapidly sloppy and dangerous. You eagerly took off Vi's top and made her crash against the wall due to the impact of the kiss –causing a painting that was hung right behind you to fall, the glass breaking into pieces. Your hands lingered around her breasts and, mostly, her abs, where your touch was hard, making sure you'd remember how it felt, and that she'd be marked by you in the morning. However, her right hand sneaked under your pants to grip your backside as her left continued to grip your hip. The eager and wetter the kiss got, the harder your touch did, too.
As her hand slid into your pants and knickers, you tangled your fingers in the back of her hair, groaning as she switched positions with a little too much force, causing your head to hit the wall. You let out a low moan as Vi's hand began rubbing hard against your clit, your head falling against the wall.
Admiring the picture she had created, Vi panted softly as she slipped two fingers inside you, moving them fast and without hesitation. "You're so wet for me," she breathed, her mouth slightly open.
You groaned, biting down hard on her lip as she kissed you deeply. With surprising strength, Vi picked you up and carried you towards the centre of the room, sitting you on the dresser and sliding your pants off of you to continue to pleasure you with her fingers –ignoring the objects that had fallen to the floor with the harshness of her movements. Despite your attempts to suppress your moans, the wet sounds of pleasure filled the air as Vi slapped her fingers into your slick slit. As she --not only kissed but bit your neck, you couldn't help but buck your hips against her hand, feeling your orgasm building. "That's right." Her smirk wide as she looked up at you as you arched your back, your breasts right in front of her face. "Ride my fingers," she added before using her thumb to circle your clit.
That's when Vi's eyes darkened. She had to hear come from you the most pornographic moan she had ever heard to come to the conclusion that this was her new favourite sound. Still thinking about depriving her of hearing you make much noise for her, you let your head fall to the crook of her neck before kissing it and biting once you felt your orgasm reach.
Vi finally decided to not only go fast, but so perfectly deep she found the perfect spot. She groaned as you bit her neck too hard once you reached your orgasm. "Fuck," you half screamed, half moaned, feeling the sensation build.
With a swift movement, Vi picked you up and laid you down on the couch, positioning herself between your legs and kissing you deeply. Her fingers traced circles over your body before moving hers lower, her wet, swollen lips becoming closer to where you wanted them as she moved your panties to the side. After what felt like ages, you finally felt her breath hit your clit before finally attacking it with her mouth, licking every corner of your slit —wet sounds filling the room once again.
Your knees were flexed as she held your legs wider for her. Your head fell back on the couch pillow as she slipped one finger into your slit. Your hands gripped her hair tightly, sending vibrations of pleasure through your body once she groaned at the force.
Vi picked up the pace, introducing one more finger, making you roll your hips into her face. Your head falling back due to all the sensations you were feeling.
She took her finger out of your hole to begin rubbing into your clit the moment she started tongue fucking you. "You taste fucking divine," she confirmed as you made unrecognisable noises, your left hand leaving her hair to clutch at the sofa as her mouth recollected all your juices. You could feel your orgasm building, and you knew it wouldn't be long before you reached your peak.
As if sensing your imminent release, Violet not only picked up the pace, but introduced two fingers once again. All the sensations being enough for you to begin shaking with pleasure.
The noises of her tongue against your wet slit continued as she collected everything you had released, your juices dripping down her chin. Your teeth had trapped your lower lip by the moment Vi lifted her head from in between your thighs to move higher, kissing and licking your breasts and ending back on your lips, allowing you to taste yourself.
Her lips had become an irresistible addiction that night. It was like a potent drug, a rush of pleasure that could make you climax just from the sensation of your tongues twirling together. So engrossed were you in the kiss that you didn't even realise you had bitten too hard until Vi let out a groan. The blood on her lips mingled with yours as you both kissed more aggressively, mixing your tastes until you were lost in each other's mouths.
Finally, you stopped to catch your breath and looked at her. "I didn't know you were into that," you said with amusement as she got off of you. "You'll find that I'm full of surprises, Red," she retorted.
You both stood as you continued to kiss, bite and mark each other as you made Vi walk backwards until she stumbled onto the bed. "Lie down," you ordered, your eagerness palpable. Vi reluctantly obeyed, gripping your bottom as you sat on her, trapping her body in between your thighs. You raised your upper body to tie a hairband to tighten your wavy hair into a high ponytail.
Vi couldn't help but be mesmerized by the view of you practically sitting on her abs, naked, with your body arched backwards as you tied your hair just for her. She could get used to it.
But even as she revelled in the experience, Vi knew that she couldn't let you top her or touch her too much. Not if she wanted to use this situation to her advantage. Not if she didn't want you to force yourself to forget what was happening between the two of you.
With a smirk, you finished your ponytail and crashed your lips onto hers once more, your tongue exploring her mouth and your hands exploring her body as you moved them lower. You draw a groan from her as the moment between you both continued to intensify.
The moment you lifted your body slightly to use your right hand to unbutton Violet's pants, she withdrew her hand from your lower body and instead gripped your wrist, putting a halt to your actions.
Violet shifted positions and placed her hand on your neck tight, drawing a groan from you and kissing you eagerly once more before standing.
You raised yourself onto your elbows, watching as she put her top back on. "What are you doing?"
"What's the matter, pretty girl? Aren't you pleased?" Violet smirked at you as slipped her shoes on. You grabbed your clothes to rapidly put on your pants and bra.
You ran your tongue over your teeth in annoyance. "I know what you're doing."
"Oh really? And what might that be?" She approached you.
You let out a dry laugh. "Neither of us will believe you when you say you didn't want me all over you."
"I would never say that. The undeniable truth is that I had you practically squirm under my touch."
You cursed yourself for feeling a surge of wetness at her words. Leaning towards her, you whispered against her lips, "but I really want to keep going." Your eyes met hers.
The moment Violet went to close the space between you once again, you took a step back. You looked for your top before speaking, "goodnight, Violet." You couldn't help but smirk.
Vi chuckled to herself the moment you turned away. She grabbed her jacket before pushing her body over the window. "Good game, Red. Excellent game." And, either way, she left with a smirk on her face.
You closed the window once she was gone, collapsing onto the bed and exhaling heavily.
What a fucking day.
As you turned your head to the left, you noticed that the room's clock read 5:59 A.M. Perhaps you should have thought about waking up early in case someone rented the room, but it wasn't of your concern once your eyelids began to grow heavy.

I keep seeing posts of people hating on afab autistics (with the word white tacked onto it for people to sound progressive) accusing ‘low support/high functioning’ (put it in quotation marks because I know people don’t like functioning labels including me) afabs of ‘centring ourselves’ in the autism community especially on social media, accusing us of turning autism into a ‘quirk/superpower’ and saying we aren’t taking it seriously. What’s worse, a recent post I saw was by an autistic woman herself! When I called her a misogynist, she said I was ‘misunderstanding’ her post 😡
I understood perfectly well the ever ongoing debate on how there are ‘too many autistic afabs’ now. It was baffling to me that OP has a pretty large following for posting content on how she is constantly treated badly for being afab, then contributes to the stigma and responds to autism moms accusing afabs of ‘minimising’ our condition?!! I lost all my sympathy for them.
Idk, I’m just tired of afabs constantly being told we are taking resources, and now even ‘space’ online (can’t friggin win) when talking about health conditions/autism. We are always ‘taking from people who have it worse’ according to others. We are ‘taking high support needs people’s voices’. Exhausting.
I MEANT TO ANSWER THIS IN APRIL IM SO SORRY
With everything that's been going on in the sphere of gender issues, it's definitely made me realize that quite a few women or afab individuals have taken the misogynistic treatment they faced and then projected it onto others, perhaps as a way to process all the hurt and trauma. It's definitely not okay to do, but oftentimes projection is a way that people try to soothe themselves, but all it does is create more problems. As an afab individual myself who largely acts able-bodied despite the harm it does to my health, I've had a lot of people attempt to use my femininity to both praise my damaging work ethic while also sowing doubt into my own abilities, which is super fucking ableist to anyone regardless of their disability. Feminism should work to be more inclusive because whenever there are discussions around women's rights, a lot of it is rightfully on empowering women and balancing out gender inequality, but I don't think a lot of it can apply to those with disabilities. I think bout what happened to the term "girlboss": originally, it tries to empower women and womanhood to positions of power, but then the term became a meme and with it, all of its credibility was lost. Sexism turned it into a term where women in power can be ridiculed because "girlbossing" has shifted where the idea of afab individuals receiving authority is treated as a mockery due to undeserved effort, and that's ultimately what sexism is: anything outside of manhood and traditional masculinity is not given the same respect and thus allows anyone to degrade a whole person's effort based on their gender alone.
I hate functioning labels as well because by that logic, the fact that I'm college-educated and working makes it seem like I don't require support, but I do. EVERYONE needs support, but because the U.S. in particular is obsessed with individuality, community and mutual aid has been ridiculed by the capitalist mindset. Although I'm not autistic, I've had quite a few autistic friends, and genuinely I think autism is so cool. Like with my own disability, it can definitely suck ass, but everyone I've known with autism has strengths surrounding intelligence and humor. What's so wrong with considering it a superpower? It's literally your life and how you function, and especially since many able-bodied people want to make disability and neurodiversity a bad thing so that they can shame you, refusing to play into that and empowering yourself is huge. Plus, it's genuinely fun to upset people by being yourself. And since this particular autistic woman is complaining about both gender and autism, her projection just shows why ableism needs to be openly discussed and pointed out. I will probably struggle with internalized ableism all my life because neither culture nor disability awareness currently allow me to truly live life WITH a disability. Unfortunately, I feel that too much of the conversation is still about hiding or minimizing disability to appease the thoughts of others.
Sexism is also the reason for why people will complain about too many afab individuals with autism. I feel like the autistic community is well aware of the difficulties in being afab and getting a diagnosis because sexism is alive and well in our perspective of health. While getting my degree, I realized that gym bros are not actually wrong when they talk bout health and fitness; the actual issue again stems from how we view health and disability. Not only are gym bros operating on this assumption that everyone's health is fully able-bodied, but also they assume that every health issue can be fixed with a healthy lifestyle which isn't true? Ignoring the fact that research still uses white cisgender male data as the human physiological default, if you have an enzyme that doesn't function correctly in metabolism, intense exercise will definitely make you sicker, not better. It's the same with disability. With autism, the diagnostic criteria is supposed to help identify what possible supports you could need, but it still depends on what is actually helpful to you personally. With this economic crisis and the potential downfall of capitalism, disability is actually a great way to talk bout how capitalism isn't possible for anyone because productivity and the economy are talked about as if they are magical forces instead of behavior carried out by people. Capitalism pushes even able-bodied standards, so by supporting disability, we can also argue for better conditions for everyone, but that's the ideal scenario.
I ramble a lot when I write because writing is essentially how I think, but yeah, it's unfortunate that she's currently using her platform to push harmful ideas about gender, disability, and autism. No matter how severe your disability is, there is no such thing as taking away needed resources because those resources are for you. It's great if you don't need as much support as others, but if you need support, you should absolutely be allowed to do anything that makes your life easier. I'm largely going to be ignoring what society thinks bout disability and even about life in general because doing what society thinks has only ever hurt me. It's very funny to me when people try to complain about marginalized people as if we're the problem, not the people and the systems who reinforce the perspective that asking for help, asking for accommodations, is somehow a big ask. It's not, and I think we should be more mean about it because it's wild that we let people dictate what kind of support we can ask for.
To all of my autistic followers: hope you had a wonderful April, and please feel free to correct me on anything! I'm always learning, and your voice is incredibly important.

I pinched this list of writer asks from @runicmagitek, and would love to read everyone else's answers if you have a few minutes to kill.
How many works do you have on AO3? 17
What's your total AO3 word count? 281,634. Not bad for three years!
What fandoms do you write for? Final Fantasies VI, VII OG, and X once when I was briefly possessed and wrote a fic from Anima's point of view.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Into the Night Uncharted (Vincent character study exploring his relationships with all the other mains) You Grow the Flowers Yourself (Elmyra's time in Shinra captivity and the point at which the canon diverged) Prints (a series of four flash fics about FFVII couples post-canon and their pets; not that fluffy) Penitent (the abovementioned screed from Anima's point of view) Negative Space (brief flash fic about Relm painting, well, guess)
The top two are what you'd expect, but I love that some of my more out-there ideas were (relatively) well-received.
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Every single one. I wouldn't if it was hate, but if you've stopped by to wish me well and tell me you enjoyed something I created? Of course I'm going to respond. I write these for me, but I post them in the hope of finding those brief moments of connection.
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hard to say! Penitent is a miserable story about a woman stumbling from one nightmare to another and only finding relief when she's allowed to die; I intended for its ending to be salt in the wound, but a lot of people found it heartening, and I like that both options are there! My other foray into horror, Clownfish (the beginning of Jenova's influence on the Cetra), features the certain death of a child and imminent collapse of a civilization, so you can't get much bigger than that in terms of downers.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? My FFVII fics end on lighter notes of momentary resolution, even if there's always an element of bittersweetness and it's all building to something that's quite different. You could probably pick any one of the longer pieces.
Do you get hate on fics? Not regarding the fics themselves, no. I am on the mod team of r/FanFiction, though, and I think all of us have had a few nasty responses left on our fics when someone didn't like our decisions. But I don't take that sort of thing to heart, and it actually happens way less often than I expected when I took up the position.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Sometimes! I've written F/F, M/M, and M/F scenes, and something I'm chipping away at now also involves threesomes and group sex. What I've written is not purely vanilla but it's also nothing extreme. It's always there as another facet of a character study and contributes something I feel is important and powerful to the text, but I'm also not not trying to turn people on at the same time. To me a good sex scene is like a good horror – it's a good story even if it doesn't produce a particular kind of excitement in you.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Not really a crossover person. It's fun to have a long conversation about characters from different FFs hanging out, for example, but I don't feel inspired to actually make a story of it.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not to my knowledge.
Have you ever had a fic translated? As above.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? Kind of! My partner beta reads all my stuff, but we're both on this Final Fantasy kick together and a lot of my analysis and headcanons have been built out of talks we've had and ideas we've grown together. I've even lifted things she's said and put them straight into the story (with permission and credit, of course). Even if the actual writing is done by me, she definitely deserves an extra special credit for much she's given to helping me.
What's your all-time favorite ship? I don't have a definitive one I'd single out.
What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I don't know if I'll see the FFVII series all the way through to the end, but I'd like to surprise myself! At the very least I want to finish the pieces I've actually started.
What are your writing strengths? General prose craftsmanship, having a distinct voice and style to all I do, being able to vary it up enough to characterise a protagonist through their narrative voice, creating evocative and immersive atmosphere and settings (and using a POV character's way of relating and observing their surroundings to say something about them), inner monologue, little human worldbuilding touches like Meteor truthers and the post-Meteor baby boom.
What are your writing weaknesses? Pacing, tension, trusting myself with what I have to say and whether or not it's worth saying at all, keeping it in the damn subtext.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I can understand why some readers would find this jarring or distracting, so that's something to bear in mind as an author, but I love it! Some languages just have words and phrases that convey a particular nuance better than anything in English, I always think it's neat when an author pours some of their own knowledge and interests into a fic, and I like having the chance to learn. Recently I read a friend's fic that features for a protagonist a detective who needs to be a polyglot by nature of his work, and when she included lines in languages other than English, she provided translations and links back and forth at the bottom. I found that, rather than breaking my immersion, it added to it – putting me in the head of someone who has to quickly and readjust to different ways of speaking.
First fandom you wrote for? I'll never tell!
Favorite fic you've ever written? I'm proud of each of them for their own strengths and unique attributes, but I'm going to single out the four drabbles I wrote this year. I'm a maximalist writer by nature, so it was a serious challenge to pare down anything to a mere hundred words; nonetheless, I think each of them manages to suggest characters and relationships, create an atmosphere, and communicate a conflict and resolution (or deliberate lack thereof) in the limited space allowed. Makes me feel like maybe I'm not so bad at the storytelling thing after all.

Plural Asking 100 Questions: Part 5!
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9
41. Do you have a Headspace (if not, is there a reason)? we do! we didn't used to since we have heavy aphantasia and scabbardmates who were adamantly in denial, but it exists. we just conceptualize it more than we can visualize it.
42. What does your Headspace look like? it looks like a big city! a more generic, hazier version of our home city. vague shops, nebulous buildings, indistinct npcs bustling about. the clock tower of city hall, the park, the apartment. we reside mostly at the heart of the city, and haven't seen the extent of the surrounding outskirts.
43. How do Members look like in Headspace? (example: Cartoony, Foggy, Realistic, ...) we're the wind!! we're really ephemeral and barely there at all hkjgh its the aphantasia :'] those of us who have art references drawn of us can usually manage a little better than those who don't, but generally we're all pretty non-tangible and foggy.
44. Is there a reason why the Headspace looks the way it looks? we've always been city dwellers irl! this is our home, and we feel comfortable here. two really important memories to us:
night time drives through the city that our parents used to take us on as a kid with all our siblings. we'd watch the city lights and buildings pass through open windows with the breeze drifting in. the sound of cars and our siblings chattering, the alternating light-dark as we passed under streetlamps, the night air and the car rumbling as we drove. this is home. this is what home is.
we were never really allowed outside without our parents growing up, but when we went to college and if we pretended we just had extra classes, we could get away with having free time outside. SO!! the first time we really went out by ourselves, we walked around at the heart of our city and we felt really... free, for the first time? it was nice... we still don't know the city that well, both our headspace one and the irl one, so that probably contributes to why it's so hazy. but both of these memories are core tenants of our headspace.
45. Is it easy for you to enter Headspace? lmaoo absolutely not. a majority of us have to be offline to do it, which means the body needs to be not doing anything important, so very limited conditions already. it takes distinct effort and concentration to get down there from our visualized fronting room, and we are pulled RIGHT back up to front in a snap if anything interrupts us. it's hard to enter, and it's hard to stay there for long.
46. Do you remember what happened in Headspace when you switch into front? yes, as much as we remember most things (<- poorly.) though its usually not much. our sparse little activities, the feeling of flight, flickers of city views.
47. Does time in Headspace pass (and if yes, is it at the same speed as in real life)? we think so! we have a day and night cycle that syncs up with the physical world's day/night cycle! so, night when it's night outside and day when it's day outside.
48. What is your favourite place in Headspace? depends on who's answering! we all have our little spaces. some of us like the cafe, and others like the garden, and some of us like the apartment. the whole city's pretty nice.
49. Are there "NPCs" within your Headspace? yes! they're hazy nondescript figures, like when an animator doesn't want to draw specific individual designs for a crowd so they just turn them into non-menacing shadow figures hkjhg they walk around doing normal city things. going to work, taking the subway, picking kids up from school, getting groceries, out for a run. chillin, like normal guys.
50. Are there any interesting fun facts about your Headspace? the fronting room is above it! headspace is the big city with the open sky, except if you break past the limit of the world's skybox, it's all darkness, and you'll find the fronting room where our beloved Ceres is. we're all tethered here automatically. like a rubber band being stretched, we can go down to headspace with effort, but if we let go of concentration we'll IMMEDIATELY snap back to the front room like we're attached to it. alas!

Social media has become an integral part of our lives. From scrolling through your favorite cat memes to connecting with long-lost friends, social platforms are where it all happens. But have you ever wondered how businesses leverage these platforms for their benefit? That's where Social Media Marketing (SMM) comes into play. In this blog post, we'll explore five essential goals of social media marketing that can transform your digital presence.
Tumblr media
1. Brand Awareness
One of the most fundamental goals of social media marketing is to boost brand awareness. Social media platforms provide an excellent space to showcase your brand's identity, values, and personality. Regularly sharing engaging content and interacting with your audience helps put your brand on the map. Remember, the more people recognize your brand, the more likely they are to trust and engage with it.
2. Building a Community of Advocates
A loyal and engaged community can be a goldmine for your brand. By nurturing relationships with your followers, you can turn them into loyal advocates. These advocates can help spread the word about your products or services, defend your brand, and even provide valuable feedback. Building a strong community not only increases your brand's credibility but also encourages word-of-mouth marketing.
3. Research and Development
Social media platforms are a treasure trove of insights. By monitoring conversations, tracking trends, and analyzing user behavior, you can gain valuable market research data. This information can help you refine your products, services, and marketing strategies. Additionally, social media can serve as a direct line of communication with your audience, allowing you to gather feedback and address customer concerns in real time.
4. Enhancing Public Relations
Your brand's reputation is a priceless asset. Social media marketing allows you to manage your public relations effectively. You can address negative comments or reviews, respond to customer inquiries promptly, and showcase your brand's positive side through compelling storytelling. A strong PR presence on social media can help build trust and credibility.
5. Driving Sales and Leads
Ultimately, social media marketing should contribute to your bottom line. By strategically using these platforms, you can drive sales and generate leads. This goal can be achieved through various means, such as running targeted ad campaigns, sharing product updates, or offering exclusive promotions. Social media offers an excellent opportunity to convert followers into paying customers.
In Conclusion
Social media marketing isn't just about posting witty captions and funny GIFs. It's a powerful tool that can transform your business in various ways. By setting clear goals and using these platforms strategically, you can boost your brand's presence, build a loyal community, conduct market research, enhance public relations, and, ultimately, drive sales and leads. Summary - January 2023
Tumblr media
Goals for next month:
•I want to increase the number of work hours
•I want to make myself draw regardless of my mood or energy level
•I want to draw more realistically
I want to complete the underpainting for the paralysed painting
I want to finish the documentation if the Sunday trip
I want to make at least 2 of the 4 drawing ideas about the Sunday trip a reality
Ars poetica:
The artist has responsibility in two areas. Firstly, they must work to their full ability to produce the highest quality possible. Secondly, they shouldn't decieve the viewer by calling something art which they themself know is either not honest art, or worse than their own, or overall standard.
This concerns ceramics as well, and when working on a comission. This is so, because as an artist I do not make art for payment. I make art because that’s the talent God has granted me and I want to use my gift wisely. I want to understand what message or mission He has for me. If I get paid, that’s great, but I’ll continue to make art even if nobody buys it, or no one bets an eye about it. My only task that I must fulfill is to create pictures or other kind of art to the best of my ability. I am not responsible to make it well known. I cannot know who my art is designed to reach, maybe they haven’t even been born yet. Though I think it more likely that we should connect to our own time, that we live right now, because our paintings are to speak to our contemporaries, acquaintances first and foremost.
There are two areas, as I see it. The first is when you create pieces that you dream of, which convey a message that you understand to be important. The second is when you get comissioned and use your artistic ability and vision to portray something, to make something beautiful come to life, which you wouldn’t have otherwise created. This desereves to get the same amount of attention as your private work, because this piece will get created with or without you. And if you happen to be the one in charge you should make it as good as you can. Why would you create something lesser, why would you create something ugly or haphazard or mediocre, isn’t the world polluted with enough rubbish already?
Useful:
The trick is to take a wip photo right away when you start to get satisfied or feel that you achieved something. That's a turning point for carelessness which will mislead you if you don't check the structure then.
Searching for my task:
First, I have the ability to decorate beautifully churches and rooms used by the congregation. I am thinking about churches which are without ornamentation or spaces that are bland or downright ugly. In short, spaces which could use someone's ability and taste to become more suitable places of worship. This would mean approaching heads of churches in the city. I'd offer my service without pay, of course, if only asking for financing the materials.
(Not related to drawing) I often have the feeling I am clueless as to how I could follow the Messiah's teaching in deeds, how I could serve. I have had an inkling that my missing inclination to tend the sick or to volunteer at a homeless centre is a sign that my part is different. Today I found out how I too can contribute. The pastor said that "people meet you but it's God they come closer to in the process".
Note to self:
I mustn't let ANYTHING distract me from painting, not ceramics, not Russian, books, nor clothes. Allow no other desire to get hold of you.
Start every session with prayer AND раз два три, even if you don’t feel that you need help.
BUT I LIKE CLassical realism very much. I enjoy the painterly aura, the romanticism, the mood. I'd be pleased if my hands created a settled realistic picture. I could use it not to amuse by painting the idyllic or exotic but to compose a picture of something that I must say to the benefit of people.
total number of days: 26
number of days on which I could’ve drawn but didn’t: 11
days I did draw: 16
Ceramics:
My peppermint teapot broke and I sought help in the Facebook group of ceramicist, Ferenc Halmos’s comments were the most insightful. I’ve learnt that neither low, nor high-fire pieces can tolerate heatshock if the clay body and the galze are a bad fit. Low-fire pieces are at a lower risk of breaking if the clay is less dense. This led me to start a testing process. The piece must be heated up to 200°C, then cooled down rapidly by dipping it into 20°C water. Some recipes suggest less heat and ice-water. Digitalfire.com is also a good resource.

The Movement Of A Baby During Pregnancy: What's Normal?
One of the many important questions that couples might wonder about during pregnancy is what their baby's movement will be like - in this article, find out why and how the movement of babies changes throughout the different stages of pregnancy.
What is the Movement Of the Baby During Pregnancy?
During pregnancy, your baby's movements will change. While you may initially feel like your baby is moving more than usual, don't worry - most babies move around quite a bit during the first trimester. Most babies move about 12-15 times a day at this stage!
Remember that not all movement is normal - if you're concerned about something, always talk to an obstetrician near me. However, many changes you'll see during pregnancy are simply part of normal development. Here are some of the most common movements:
Your baby will start to rotate towards the front of the womb (the superior aspect) and then turn towards the back (the inferior aspect). This happens because your baby's head is getting bigger and heavier and needs space to grow.
Your baby's limbs and body will develop as they grow larger. This includes muscles in your baby's arms and legs, which help them move around. Your baby's skeletal system also starts to develop, allowing him or her to move more freely in the later stages of life.
Your uterus will also start to enlarge as your baby grows, making it difficult for your baby to move around freely. However, despite these changes, most babies move around quite a bit during early pregnancy!

Normal Movement for Pregnant Women
During the first few months of pregnancy, your body goes through many changes. One of these changes is your baby's growth and development. As your baby grows, she'll need more energy to support her growing body. This means that your body will start moving around more than usual.
Most pregnant women experience some form of normal movement during their pregnancy. This can include:
Walking around: Most pregnant women enjoy walking around during the early stages of their pregnancy. Walking helps you get some exercise and stay active, which are important for your health and your baby's development.

Sleeping on Your Side: Many pregnant women find sleeping on their side easier than sleeping on their back because it reduces the pressure on the bladder and prevents back pain. It also makes it easier to monitor foetal movement during sleep.

Causes of Abnormal Movement
There are a few factors that can contribute to abnormal movement during pregnancy. Here is a list of some of the more common causes:
1. Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) can cause excessive muscle tension and lead to abnormal movements, including tremors, restless legs syndrome (RLS), and chair sittings.
2. A pregnant woman's body may produce increased levels of relaxation, which can cause stretched ligaments and tendons and joint pain. This pain may be aggravated by stressful activities or poor posture, leading to further movement problems.
3. Women who have had difficult labour or deliveries in the past are at an increased risk for developing postpartum depression, leading to further movement problems such as fatigue and decreased muscle strength.
4. If a woman has pre-eclampsia - a potentially life-threatening condition characterised by high blood pressure, fluid retention, and irregular heartbeat - her body will generate significant amounts of placental growth hormone (PLG). This hormone can cause excessive muscle fibre growth, contributing to stiffness and weakness in the joints' muscles.
Conclusion
Your baby's movement during pregnancy can be a little confusing, as it can feel like they are doing everything on their own. However, by paying attention to the various movements your baby is making and the changes in their mood and behaviour, you can get a better understanding of what's going on inside them. By following these tips, you can feel confident that you're providing the best possible environment for your developing child.
