Jay leaned back and wiped his arm across his forehead, inspecting his work.

He'd been working on this project for weeks now, but he was nowhere near done. He just had to finish this, and then he'd start writing those letters.

Wait- what was this, 1998? He'd do it online.

But he'd do it after this. It's not like he was avoiding doing it, just... prioritizing.

He got back to work.

He wasn't sure how long it had been before someone knocked on the door to the makeshift workshop- with the Monastery's basement destroyed, they'd had to set up a temporary workspace while it was being rebuilt.

"Come in!"

Nya walked over to put a plate with a sandwich on it on the table. "I came here to bring you some lunch."

Jay barely glanced up when he said, "Thanks, Nya, I'll get to it in a bit."

Nya sighed. "You've been working on that almost nonstop for ages now. You need to take a break. Do you even know what it is at this point?"

Jay opened his mouth to explain, before closing it. He'd been working on it for so long that he'd kind of lost sight of whatever his original goal had been.

"No."

"Then I think it's time for a break. C'mon."

Nya led him away from the worktable to sit on the floor with her. She offered up the sandwich again, and this time, he took it.

"So, what's bothering you?"

"Noffimg," Jay said through a mouthful of peanut butter.

"Yeah, right. Whenever something's bothering you, you avoid it by throwing yourself into a project. Y'know, like a machine that you can't remember the purpose of."

Jay chewed in silence for a moment, trying to figure out how to put his thoughts together. He swallowed.

"Well, there's no end-of-the-world situation going on right now. Wu said the Overlord isn't gone for good, 'cause he's like, a law of nature or something, but hopefully he'll be gone longer than he was last time... And Kai, Zane, Cole and I don't have our powers anymore."

"You're more than your powers, Jay. You're creative, and smart, and funny. You're my Yin."

Jay put his plate down. "That's- that's not what I meant. I meant- we're kind of, normal, now- and there's no big villain to worry about, and... I've been thinking, about...

"I wanna go to college."

He picked at his jeans where the fabric had worn thin over the knees. "I guess... I was working on this to avoid making applications. It just- feels like too big of a change, y'know? I'm not opposed to it, obviously, but... And- I'd have to move. Making the commute from here to even the closest college every day isn't really feasible."

Nya put her hand on Jay's back. "I think I get what you mean. We've been doing... this for so long that anything else feels wrong, huh?"

"Yeah."

Nya leaned in front of him so he could see her smile. "Well, I say, if you want to, then go for it! We've all worked hard to keep Ninjago safe, I think it's fair for you to do something for you." She punched his shoulder playfully. "Just make sure to invite me over every now and then when you move into the penthouse suite!"

Jay laughed, "I will, I will, don't worry!"

After a moment, Jay's smile softened. "Thanks, Nya."

"No problem. I love you, Jay."

"I love you too."

i hope it was everything you ever dreamed of, Rook! it came out shorter than i intended, but I'm not one to try and force a story to be longer than feels natural. either way, this was fun!

Okay, it's time for my thoughts on Dragons Rising part 2. (This is super long by the way.)

(Spoilers below the cut.)

I'll get into my Cole rant in a bit because, oh boy, do I have things to say. But Soras story feels too important to leave for last.

Sora's story can reach out to so many different people that have issues with their parents and that kids really don't owe their parents anything. Sora is one of THE BEST role models I've ever seen in a cartoon. The fact that all her problems still weren't solved when she cut contact with her parents is realistic. The fact that they didn't give her parents a redemption was satisfying. And her just actually coming to the conclusion that she doesn't need to have her biological family in her life was beautiful. You are able to choose your family, and Sora showed that perfectly. Her character is amazing, and I don't even have the words to describe how absolutely beautiful her character is. She is perfect, and it makes me all emotional and stuff. I love her 😢

Arin has so much potential, and I think his whole spinjitzu thing is super important and cool. I think he'll get the MK treatment, maybe get thrown into an identity crisis, the works. Maybe he has a whole chosen one thing like Lloyd, who knows. All I know is that I love him and his little fan boy heart.

Kai and WyldFyres relationship is so great. I love seeing how far Kai has come and him referencing Nya becoming the ocean and how Master Wu helped him work through his emotions. This was exactly what the show needed. And having Kai be WyldFyres mentor was a fantastic choice because they are seriously alike in many way. Their struggle with not being patient and their hot headedness just gives me life. Kai has a freaking kid, and there little reunion hug was so freaking cute oh my god!!!!

I felt like Nya should have had a worse reaction to seeing a Djinn again. She was definitely traumatized from that, but maybe this was also some good closure for her, seeing that not all Djinn are evil creepy monsters. Nya and Soras' relationship is cool, too

Zane needs some more done with him. I need them to address the weird egg thing he hatched out of, but hopefully, it will be resolved soon. I think Zane got pushed to the side a bit, and it felt like he was jumping everywhere (like, he was just, at the administration? I know he got in trouble for portal stuff, but..... yeah). I'm sure he will get something eventually.

Lloyd is someone I never know how to talk about because he's just such a main character that it makes him less interesting to me. Don't get me wrong I love him, and him working on becoming the master of the monetary is cool and stuff. But he still needs a form of closure from past seasons, especially with garmadon. Unless they never bring him back then that's chill. I love garmadon but he always causes so much problems. Lloyd is learning how to be a good teacher though and that's really sweet.

Jay is a sassy shit Manger, and I love it. Can't wait to see more with him.

And Cole........ Cole is perfect in everything single way, and no one can deny that. Like actually, if someone doesn't like Cole from Ninjago, that's a red flag. He ended up in the place of lost things. THATS PERFECT FOR HIM! Cole Who almost got forgotten by everyone he loves, who literally ran away from home. It's perfect! He's perfect! He's the best! I love him! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! And now he's going on his own mission to follow Master Wus voice and figure out why the earth is screaming?!?!? God I love him. He's the best 😢

Also, I've had thoughts and ideas about Cole hearing the earth screaming, and I'm SUPER curious to see what that means.

Okay, now that I've ranted about how perfect Cole is...... I need to say it.

I already made a post about this but I'll never get over how perfect they are. It felt borderline canon.

People are talking about how Cole just straight up left him to chase master Wu, but I'm positive that Cole either talked to the others beforehand or right after leaving Nya about it. About how he would totally come back for them and figure out some way for them to leave the land of lost things and get in all those good tearful see you laters.

If Geo doesn't come back I will fucking riot. And I'm not one to swear super often. Mostly for dramatic effect. So you know I'm serious. Geo and Cole left me feeling high for days. I need them in my life. They can't just introduce new characters and then LEAVE THEM!!?!?!!?!!!?

Anyways, my full ale thought on Dragons Rising.

It was good. It felt risky at first to add all these new characters, especially main ones but they did it perfectly. I love me a well paced story that doesn't feel like it's going to fast or slow. Beatrix's story is very interesting but I'm still super excited to see what happens with my boy Lord Ras. He's just so cool and evil and stuff :D I wonder who his boss is?

The show felt somewhat nostalgic but also super fresh and the writing was good.

Episode 1-The return

Episode 2-Surprises

Our heroes encounter many surprises on their way. Not all of them are very pleasant.

"What do you think, is Wu okay?" Misako asked Garmadon as they walked along the docks.

"I hope so," Garmadon sighed.

"And are you okay?" Misako gently asked him. "All this with Chen.."

"I'll survive," Garmadon snapped at her. "Now we just need to get rid of him once and for all."

"If that's possible," Misako muttered to herself.

They walked in silence for a long time.

"I'm sorry we're not going anywhere after all," Garmadon sighed.

"Me too," Misako agreed. "Where did you want to go?"

"That's a surprise," Garmadon smiled at her.

"Oh come on," Misako encouraged him. "You know I hate surprises."

"I know you don't hate them, you're just afraid you won't react well to them."

"You know me well," Misako smiled back, though deep down she was still worried.

It was a good way for both of them to get their minds off the situation.

"And psst!" She put a finger to her lips and pointed towards the docks. "Someone is there."

"Who..." Garmadon asked but then immediately recognized the face and voice.

"Oh, isn't that Sensei Garmadon," the voice taunted. "And surely that's Misako, nice to meet you."

"Clouse!" Garmadon hissed and started to move forward as if to attack, but Misako grabbed his hand.

"You? How? I will.."

"I don't think now is the time to throw threats, Garmadon," Clouse continued in a mocking tone. "You're not in a position to do so."

"And I also think that fighting is not the best solution right now," Misako said, pulling Garmadon's hand again.

"But..." he started, then stopped when he looked around.

They were surrounded by Chen's soldiers, there were at least a dozen of them, no, more than a dozen, three dozen?

"At least they're not Anacondrai anymore," Misako offered poor consolation.

~~~With the ninja:~~~

"We need to come up with a plan," Zane said when the ninjas stopped in front of the noodle house with their vehicles.

"I agree," Cole replied. "We shouldn't underestimate Kai if we fall into a trap with him."

"But we can't just leave him," Lloyd complained.

"No one said we would abandon him."Jay patted Lloyd on the shoulder.

"I know he's your best friend, he's family to all of us, but that doesn't change the fact that we need a plan."Cole insisted

"But Chen said we have to all go," Lloyd lamented.

"Maybe I have a plan," Jay smiled.

~~~With the Kai and Skylor:~~~

"What do you want from us, father?!"

Skylor yelled as she and Kai were forcefully dragged through secret hallways by soldiers.

"And what did you mean by saying we are useful?"

"Stop!" Chen raised his hand as they halted in front of the dungeons.

"This is your new residence, fear not, there is also space for your friends when they enter my castle."

"They're not that dumb!" Kai objected. "They'll find a way to deal with you." "

They may not be dumb, but they are loyal," Chen sighed, feigning sympathy. "And that's just as good as being dumb."

"You still haven't answered me, father," Sklor interjected. "What do you want from us?"

"If you want to steal all the elemental powers again, I'm afraid it won't be so easy for you this time," Kai sneered.

"Don't worry, this time I have completely different plans," Chen looked at them, for the first time appearing serious.

"No matter what is it, you will not succeed!" Skylor shouted at him.

"We'll see about that," Chen motioned to his soldiers to take Kai and Skylor to the dungeons.

~~~With the ninja:~~~~

"No, no, and no!" Lloyd shouted. "That is out of the question."

"I agree with Lloyd, we can't put innocent people in danger,"

Cole said, pulling out his weapon. "We will fight."

"I don't like it either, but my sensors tell me we have no choice," Zane sighed.

"We won't send just anyone, but someone with the necessary skills."

"But it's still too risky," Lloyd groaned. "What if something goes wrong..."

"That's what Kai would do," Jay entered the noodle house. "So the majority wins."

"No..." Cole and Lloyd shouted at the same time, but they couldn't respond Jay from going into the Noodle House.

"Who wants to go on a ninja mission?!"

Soon, a considerable number of people gathered around them.

"Everyone, calm down," Lloyd shouted, and everyone fell silent.

"It will be very dangerous and risky. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Those who are sure and think they are capable, stand on my right side!" Jay shouted, and a few people stood on his right side, while the others dispersed.

"Hello, fellas!" Dareth stepped forward. "Going on another mission with the brown ninja?"

"Oh no," Cole groaned.

"People, you need to be aware of what's happening. We are fighting Chen."

Lloyd interrupted again. "He wants us all to come to the backyard of this building.Jay's plan is for you to pretend to be us until we find a way into Chen's tunnels."

"It will be very dangerous, can you handle it?" Cole added.

After a few mumbles, people dispersed, leaving only Dareth and one man in his thirties with a bandage on his forehead and black hair streaked with gray. He was tall and slender.

"So, the two of you go with Dareth... And sorry, who are you?" Lloyd asked.

"Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I am Sangfugol. I usually play the harp somewhere else, but I have a mission here."

"What kind of mission and where are you from?" Jay asked, confused.

"And why are you telling us this now?" Zane inquired.

"Because it concerns all of you," Sangfugol looked at Lloyd. "But enough about that, I just want to say that I am a friend."

"Alright then, I suppose we continue with the plan," Lloyd, who seemed uncomfortable, said.

"Which two will go with Dareth and Sangfugol?"

"rock, paper, clamp?"Cole suggested.

"It's not like we have any other choice," Lloyd sighed.

"No!" Jay exclaimed. "I wanted to go!"

"So, it's Cole, Dareth, Sangolfun, and me," Lloyd repeated. "Zane and Cole, you stay behind and follow us later."

"Affirmative," Zane confirmed.

"Now, who will play whom?" Jay asked, looking at Sangolfun and Dareth.

"None of them really resemble any of us..."

~~~With Misako and Garmadon:~~~

"How did you know we would be here?" Garmadon angrily asked Clouse, who was smiling in front of them.

"Everything in due time, Garmadon. It is best for you to come with us," Clouse replied.

"Never," Garmadon said.

"I believe we don't really have a choice," Misako said, pointing to more soldiers disembarking from the ship.

"Oh yes, how could I forget to mention that?" Clouse gloated. "If you cause any trouble, she gets hurt, and vice versa. Now let my soldiers escort you to our ship."

"You'll get yours, you..." Garmadon pushed away a soldier who approached him. "I'd rather die than go into your captivity."

"Such a shame," Clouse sighed. "But like I said before, you won't die. Throw her into the sea."

"No!" Garmadon shouted, and the soldiers stopped trying to pull Misako away.

"Leave her alone, coward. This is between us."

"I'm afraid this is much more than just between us, Garmadon,"

Clouse began walking towards the ship, and Garmadon and Misako were finally allowed to be taken with them.

"Furthermore, I'm afraid your wife plays a significant role in all of this."

"Which one?" Misako asked.

"I'm afraid I can't speak of it just yet," Clouse pretended to sigh. "But I am certain that my master won't spare any words when I deliver you to him."

They let themselves be tied to a pole. Garmadon could no longer feel anger, all that was left was exhaustion.

He felt Misako testing how tightly their hands were tied on the other side.

At least she didn't give up.At least they were together, even though they couldn't see each other, he could at least feel her hand and hear her breathing.

He grabbed her hand and squeezed it before letting go again. More for his own comfort than hers.

She didn't know what kind of person Chen was.

"So, we're going to Chen," Misako said. "Great."

"You'll like it even less when you get there," Clouse gloated. "Especially your husband."

"You still haven't told us how you knew where to find us," Garmadon said indifferently. "And where is my brother?"

From his expression, they could conclude that Clouse failed to capture Wu. He didn't know he would be there. He only knew about them.

"Wu and the ninjas will come after you again," Misako told him just as indifferently.

"Not if your son and his friends stumble into a trap," Clouse replied.

"They'll figure it out," Garmadon responded.

"We'll see about that," Clouse's mood clearly improved. "And what about your samurai, isn't her name Mya?"

"Nya, you idiot," Garmadon told him.

"Oh, right, Nya, of course. Watch this now."

Misako and Garmadon gasped when they saw the image that appeared on the screen.

"No, I need..." Nya was speaking on the screen while talking to someone.

"How?" Misako asked in disbelief.

"I think I know," Garmadon said, recalling the empty box he received that morning.

"Anyway," Clouse interrupted the recording. "Soon our army will capture your precious little monastery and capture the samurai."

With those words, he left the room where Garmadon and Misako were standing.

"Quick!" Misako said when everyone left. "We won't be alone for long."

"You don't think we can escape, do you?" Garmadon asked in disbelief.

"No," Misako admitted. "But I think we can try to send a message to Nya to flee."

"How?"

"If we can hear her..."

"You mean she might somehow be able to hear us," Garmadon slowly began to understand.

"There must be a button..." Misako looked towards the panel.

"Maybe the one with something drawn on it?" Garmadon suggested.

"I think so, but how do I get to it?" Misako tried to free herself but without success.

"We need to throw something at it," she mumbled.

"Wait here," Garmadon said as he grabbed a nearby box with his feet.

"It's not like I'm going anywhere" Misako replied.

With a few swings, he managed to launch the box and hit the right button.

"You did it!" Misako exclaimed.

"Shh, Misako, be quiet," Garmadon said, unable to hide his smile.

"Nya, if you can hear us," Misako said, "run away from the monastery. Clouse has captured us, he's listening you."

"Go to Mystake's tea shop," Garmadon added.

"She..." he began, but stopped when he noticed someone approaching.

"What's going on here?" Clouse angrily asked, fortunately not appearing to know anything,but even they didn't know if it worked.

~~~With the Nya:~~~

"Where can I find them?" Nya talked to herself while trying to figure out a way to contact the other elemental masters.

She dialed a number, but before she could start speaking, someone interrupted her.

"This doesn't make sense." Angrily, she hung up the phone, but then heard some whispering.

"Misako?"

"....hear us," Misako said, "run away from the monastery. Clouse has captured us, he's listening to you."

"Go to Mystake's tea shop," Garmadon's voice said. "She..." he began, but stopped.

"What's going on here?" A voice. She assumed it was Clouse's.

She bent down a few times, trying to locate where the voice was coming from.

"There you are," she said and caught a mechanical spider.

"Now you're mine!" she said and turned it off. She didn't want to completely shut it down in case she might need it later.

After some hesitation, she turned the spider back on.

"Obviously, the best solution now is to go get the other ninjas," she said and turned off the spider again.

"Quickly," she told herself because she didn't know how long she would be alone.

She picked up some scrolls she had found earlier and considered them relevant to the situation.

She put on her samurai X suit and flew towards Mystake's tea shop.

"I'm here," she said and stepped inside uncertainly.

"Hello!" she shouted at the entrance. "I am Nya, and I..."

"Welcome, Nya, master of water," an older voice interrupted her. Mystake turned towards her.

"Master of what?"

"I was expecting..."

Mystake started but had to stop when she saw Nya faint.

JAY !

At first, he would be shocked, then annoyed at how one of the 'new' ninjas would flirt with you. He would always say it was stupid, that they didn't even know you personally, but Jay would roll his eyes and huff in annoyance. You were his partner and he knew you well enough to know he could be jealous. He just didn't like seeing you get flirted up by someone who barely knew you. "I don't want you talking to them [your nickname]!" Jay pouted as you turned down another person's advances for dinner that night. You looked at him and smirked, making him squirm under your gaze.

"What? Do you have a problem with me speaking to other people?" You teased, knowing full well he had a thing about strangers flirting with you. He was so protective, and you loved that about him. "No! It's not that." Jay shook his head, taking your hand in his own. "It's just...you're my partner and I don't want you being near them," he explained. His frown deepened when you laughed at his statement, squeezing his hands gently before pulling out of his grasp. "You worry too much about it. I don't like them anyway" you assured him, smiling softly when he still frowned. "Really?" He asked, watching your smile widen. You nodded as he smiled back. "Well okay then. Just let me know if they hurt you, or anything, ok? Promise?" He insisted and you laughed again, nodding quickly. "I promise."

COLE !

Now Cole would never let you go near the 'new' ninja. No matter how hard they tried to flirt with you. He would probably tell them to fuck off and to stop flirting with you. And he had done it before. He always told them this, but this time they weren't listening. It was pretty obvious to everyone else that they liked you and were being extra nice to you. You were the only one who noticed his reaction to the 'new' ninja. When you saw him glaring at them every now and then when they interfered in what you guys were doing. You knew something was up, so you decided to talk to Cole and see if he could help you figure out what was wrong. You sat downside him, while he plays his game. "Cole?" "What," He said bluntly. Not even glancing away from his game. "Is everything okay? You seem upset." You asked. He sighed, before putting his controller down on the table. "I'm fine." He said, turning to face you. You raised an eyebrow at him. "No, you're not." You said. He groaned. "Don't laugh at me, okay?" He muttered, looking anywhere but at you. You smiled reassuringly at him. "Never, Cole." You said. He looked back up at you. "The 'new' ninja is getting a little bit close and flirting with you, and...I don't like it."

He whispered. Your eyes widened as you stared at him. Then you smiled, reaching over and ruffling his hair. "Cole, you are such a sweetheart." You cooed. His cheeks turned red as he ducked his head to hide his embarrassed blush. When he finally looked up at you again, you were still smiling at him. "Thanks for telling me." You said. He nodded. "But," you continued, taking both of his hands in yours. "If you ever need to talk about this, I am here. Okay?" You said softly. Cole nodded. "Okay." You grinned at each other and leaned forward to peck his cheek.

ZANE !

Zane would be confused cuz' he's never felt this kind of feeling before. Seeing the new ninja flirt and talk to you way differently than they talked to them made him confused. He felt, mad for some reason, he didn't want you talking to them. So he asked PIXAL about his emotions. "It seems that you're jealous of the 'new' ninja flirting and interacting with [reader]" She told him. "I am?" He couldn't deny that he thought that you were very attractive, but not as much as you were with him. He wanted all your attention to be on him, he didn't like seeing you around the new ninja when he was around, he didn't know why he was so upset about it but he was. "Yes, I don't know what it means but it seems that you care about your feelings more than logic dictates." Zane sighed, "I suppose I do. Can I ask why? Why does my heart feel this way towards them?" "I've been trying to find an answer. There are some things in our coding that affect our emotions. I believe one is when we see others interacting romantically. It's like watching a movie that's playing in your head. We can watch someone else and watch from the outside without ever being able to experience it in person. It may explain why you're so angry at these new ninja, even though they're not dating [reader]"

Zane nodded, "I understand." The next day Zane noticed something different. Whenever you interacted with another ninja they'd always try to get closer to you or touch you. Zane knew this wasn't right because you weren't interested in them, but every time he looked at them he just got upset. You walked around the monastery trying to find Zane. Kai had told you he was outside, training but he wasn't there. So you decided to check his room. You found him sitting at his desk staring out the window. "Hey Zane" He turned to face you, a small smile on his face. You smiled back as he stood up, walking over to you. You were standing only a few inches apart. "Hello Y/N, how may I help you?" His voice was soft and smooth as he spoke to you. "I wanted to check up on you. You've kinda been ignoring me for a few days so" You mumbled, and the room fell silent. Zane looked away from you for a moment and then back at you. "Oh, I'm sorry, please forgive me if my behavior has been quite rude. It's just..." He trailed off as his hand moved to yours and he began to intertwine your fingers together. "I've seen how the 'new' ninjas would flirt and touch you and I've been...jealous? Since." You frowned, "Is that why you've been avoiding me?" You said softly. Zane squeezed your hand lightly as he nodded. You giggled at his cute little expression, you cupped his cheek in your free hand and leaned in to give him a quick kiss on the lips. When you pulled away you saw he was smiling happily. "I love you and you only, no one else can change that" You whispered. Zane blushed bright red at your words, "Y/N..you don't mean that..." You laughed and shook your head. "Oh, I do! Now let's go get something to eat!"

KAI !

Kai is such a hothead that he can’t help himself from jumping into conclusions like this. He doesn’t know where it came from. It just kinda happened. When he sees the new ninjaflirting with you, he feels something in his heart twist, like an elastic band stretching dangerously tight. It’s so obvious. And yet, no one has said anything about it. They haven’t done anything either, not that he knows of. Except for maybe Cole and Zane who have been giving him weird looks lately, but even they haven’t said anything. Maybe he was just overreacting but there are other people besides him that are flirting with you. Why not say something? That way it wouldn’t feel as awkward when he eventually gets jealous too, which could happen at any moment. “Hey, Cole! I need your opinion on something.” Kai says gaining Col's attention. His friend looks at him curiously, but nods.

“I think I should go talk to reader about something.” Cole blinks and cocks his head to the side slightly. “Is this about the new ninjas?" Cole asked. The red ninja nods vigorously. Cole rolls his eyes, "Tell them about it, tell them that the new ninjas make you jealous" he tells Kai. “But… I don’t want to make things weird” Kai says, cole frowns, clearly not buying that answer. "You're already making everything weird." Kai sighs defeated, "Yeah okay, fine. I'll tell them." When he told you that he got jealous of the new ninjas you were confused."What do you mean you're jealous of them? Are you jealous they might take me away from you~" You teased. Kai groans "You know what? Forget it, forget it, forget it. Just forget that I ever mentioned that. Forget I ever brought it up!" He says looking everywhere else but you. You chuckle before leaning over and kissing him on the cheek. Kai's cheeks turn bright red and his eyes widened in surprise. He turns his head towards you, looking straight into your eyes, and leans closer. He closes the distance between you two by placing his lips softly against yours. Your breath catches and you immediately kiss back. When you pull apart, you see Kai's face light up with a smirk. His cheeks are dusted pink and his eyes glisten with happiness and affection. You smile back at him, feeling butterflies swirl around inside your stomach. You wrapped your arms around him and rested your head on his chest. Kai wraps his arms around you and smiles down at you. His expression softens and he gently kisses you on the forehead. "I'll never replace you" You mumbled. "Is it because I'm hot?" He asked smugly. You laughed "Well, yeah. But, more than that. I love you." You kissed his cheek again. "I love you too." He whispered.

... It's been forever since I even TOUCHED this, and this is really just a headcanon post

So, forever ago, I made a post on Morro's wasted potential in Ninjago, and more people agreed with me than I thought, ngl

So, to add to that post, here are some thoughts/headcanons on how Morro's charaxter would shift if he appeared in more than the ghost season

Right off the bat, he does not die. He runs away after he is proven to not be the green ninja, but he instead is attacked and has to be rescued, something that knocks him down a few pegs even when he's bed ridden and sick with Wu taking care of him. Morro does eventually apologize for his behavior, more specifically admitting that he was wrong to think he was stronger than the rest when he almost died. Wu lets him stay, happy to have not lost a student, and offers him a different goal instead of being the green ninja: stay where he's safe and keep learning so he can be stronger.

Morro agrees and continues to grow and learn until he becomes Wu's right hand man.

In terms of 'hierarchy,' Wu is the teacher, Morro is second in command and tied slightly with Cole, Zane is after them as the scout and the smart guy that doesn't talk much, Jay and Kai are the two that are good fighters, yet still need some reining in, and Nya and Lloyd are the little guys that do what they're told, thankfully.

Morro's dragon does not have a seat/saddle. Morro rides on his dragon while standing because he is in tune with his wind powers.

Is he all work and no play? Of course not. He knows how to kick back, it just takes him a second to do so.

He and Cole are the most experienced of Wu's students and tells horror stories of his days in training just to mess with the guys.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Morro doesn't hate Zane, but he doesn't like being around him either because(spoiler alert if you don't follow all the parts of my PG-13 touch-up AU) Zane is dead. Being near him gives Morro the heebie-jeebies and makes him feel sick, so he tries not to be near Zane for long periods of time. A couple hours is fine, but a day is too much.

Cole and Morro get along, but before, when Cole first joined, they were rivals, as in they were siblings fighting over Wu's approval. Eventually, Wu got stuck of the constant bickering and sent the two on missions together, something that helped the two bridge the gap between them and start getting along. And now they're inseparable

Jay and Kay have DEFINITELY given Morro more headaches than he cares too mention mainly because Jay's high energy and Kai is reckless. All three get along well enough, but there are times when Jay and Kai are a little much for him to deal with.

He has no problems with Nya. It was weird to live with a girl after so many years, but the two are fatherly decent friends and Morro acts as a wing man for both Nya and Jay because he knows theres something there between them

Like I said, Morro can sense and communicate with the dead, and it's a power he hates because he hates seeing what could have happened to him after running away. He's not surprised when Zane reveals he's basically a reanimated corpse, instead having this sullen look on his face.

Does he go on a lot of missions? Sort of. Sometimes he joins the ninja, sometimes he doesn't. The tomb missions were an immediate 'no' for him because of the history and he got a bad feeling, and seeing Pythor for the first time instantly made him freeze because of the fact that Pythor had some lingering spirits following him.

Fighting the skeleton army was a 'no go,' but Morro did have to push through to help save his family.

Jay helps him through times when seeing the dead becomes too much, and has shown him it's okay to use it because Morro found the ghost of a girl that had found Zane and led them to him

Kai's time wondering and obsessing about if he was the green ninja definitely got on Morro's nerves because, as he later reveals to the team, he thought he was the green ninja once before he was proven not to be. He's over it, but he reacted poorly back then and it almost cost him his life. He doesn't know who it is, but he knows it's not him and he wouldn't bet on Kai because his heads big enough as it is.

Upon meeting Lloyd, Morro had mixed feelings. On one hand, the kid was Wu's nephew and family and was alone where literally anything or anyone could get him and hurt him. On the other hand, he didn't exactly like kids and Lloyd being somewhat helpless bothered him. When Lloyd was on the Bounty and recovering from an illness, Morro was reminded of his younger self, how he tried to be bigger and stronger when he wasn't ready. Not Lloyd's situation, but he did tell Lloyd that he did good lasting as long as he did to get to his uncle again, so he can rest easy knowing he has that under his belt.

Lloyd's reveal of the green ninja hit hard, and it hurt. Big time. Like, 'Tai Lung trained for years on end but is not the dragon warrior' hard. Hiw did he react? By putting his hand on Lloyd's head, giving a very dry smile and saying, "Don't think I'll go easy on you now because you're the chosen one." It was actually a nice moment between thebtwo amd after when Lloyd expressed fear and sorrow at having to fight his father.

When Lloyd aged up, Morro was legitimately devastated and felt awful about how Lloyd has to grow and mature so much faster now and that he had to FIGHT HIS OWN FATHER, all of it boiling up and making him snap at Wu and the team that Lloyd's been through so much already and he's literally just a kid and he has so little things in life that are actually good for him because now being the chosen one has put a target on his back.

When the team got their powers back on the dark island, Morro was not messing with his powers. Instead he was in the waters of the beach trying to catch fish and just sort of being on the beach before sunbathing with Zane because he's never been on a beach before. That stopped when Wu yelled at them.

Morro does get a dragon, but his saddle/ seat is a little different because he stands up when he flies, like he flies his dragon in the way you skateboard, and it equally impresses and annoys the ninja because he's just showing off.

What's his golden weapon? A pair of tessens, or fans, that have wind powers. He does get picked on for it, but he reminds the culprit that he's Morro and you don't want to piss off Morro.

The team does not tease Morro about his abilities with seeing, sensing, and communicating with the dead, mainly because it's the ability itself that hunders him against opponents like the skeleton army, Garmadon, and the serpentine. That many cries from people who have died get to him and he has no idea what to do. The team can't really imagine what it must feel like, but they do comfort him because they're family.

And that's where I'm going to call it because I can't really think of anythi g else for this😅

Can you write a Lloyd X reader where the reader has the power to distort memories and their evil parent forces them to wipe out the teams' memories of them in front of them all and it's REALLY REALLY ANGSTY. (Thank you :D)

OKAY OKAY the reason why this took a while is because I had to think of a reason why their parents might do this, but I think I got it figured out!

All of Them Empty but Mine

Where this was the only way anyone could get out alive; but now you have no one.

It hurts you to use your power, so you just never have. In order to wipe or change memories, you have to live through them, which is taxing on your brain, and sometimes caused you physical pain as well. You father had gone through several wives in order to breed you, the perfect child, but you were smarter than him and ran away. You vowed to never use your power, as he wanted to use it as a force for evil.

Now you had a new family, a better one, who took care of you like you were one of their own. You cried with them, laughed with them, made friends and enemies with them, and even fell in love with one of them. It was a beautiful experience, and you were glad to have shared it with them.

However, something new was happening in Ninjago, like it always did when evil was on the rise, but something about this was different. Usually there was an army working for one bad guy, but this time it was just one person. With the exception of Nadakhan, which you happened to remember because your powers made you immune to memory loss, including ones induced by time travel and paradox.

"Well we shouldn't underestimate them, it could be that they're just a loner of some sort, but it could also be that they're a very powerful foe. We shouldn't split up." Lloyd stated, as the whole team of ninja tried to come up with a plan.

"But we have no idea where they'll strike next, they don't have any sort of pattern to their attacks." Zane offered the information.

"He's right, they could be anywhere by now." Kai frowns.

Jay sighs, "we don't even know what they're after. First they attacked the museum, but stole nothing. Then they went to Stiix and took down one of the ports, but that was it."

"I talked to Skylor." Nya bites at her lip nervously. "The person we're after, it's a he. She saw him when he entered her restaurant and made a mess of it."

"Was there anything else?" Cole asked.

She nodded. "It's not a something he's after, it's a someone. He didn't say anything to her, he just said 'they're not here'. Then he ran off."

Jay looked over to you. "You look sick. What's wrong?"

You shake your head, "oh, sorry, I was just trying to think of who he could be looking for..." There was the possibility it could be your dad, but he hasn't looked for you before; you thought he gave up. Why would he start now? No, it had to be someone else. "Wu doesn't have a clue, but Mystake might. She's old and wise, too."

"It's a start." Lloyd puts a hand to his chin. "Okay, we'll all split up and gather information-"

"But you just told us not to split up!" Jay complains.

"That's because I thought we were gonna fight him now..." Lloyd sheepishly responds, before steeling his nerves. "We're just going to gather information on this guy. We need to know who he is, and who he wants. (Y/N) can go to Mystake's, Kai will go to the police to see if they learned anything too, Jay and Cole, you will go to previous sites and look for clues. Nya, you and I will go to different villages and warn them, and Zane, you can watch security cameras to see if we can track this guy."

"Sounds like a plan." Kai grins.

Everyone else takes off to perform their assigned task, but Lloyd halts you by grabbing your wrist. "I love you." He kisses you gently, surprising you. "Stay safe, okay?"

"Lloyd," suppress your giggling, "where is this coming from?"

He gives you a hug, "it's just that we've never been separated on a mission before."

"Morro. Literally when he possessed you and took you away from me for almost a month." You cross your arms and give him an expectant look.

"Okay, fine," he rolls his eyes, "but that wasn't my fault. This time, if something happens to you, it will be."

"Oh, relax. Mystake's shop is in a place that guy already hit; he won't be back there so soon." You snort. In order to assure him you'd be okay, you give him a hug back, and a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be okay, Lloyd. Promise. You worry too much."

"Yeah, but, like, you're my partner. It's my job." He grins.

"Second job. Ninja first, remember?" You give him a thumbs up before you part ways, "I love you too, sweetheart."

That was yesterday. Now Lloyd was freaking out, and trying not to cry as he sat on the couch, calling your phone for the 50-something-th time. Even the other ninja were worried about you, but tried to comfort Lloyd instead. He stayed up all night for you, and looked exhausted.

"I'm sure they'll be here soon; maybe they lost or dropped their phone." Kai pat his shoulder. "They're clumsy like that."

"Yeah, Lloyd, calm down. It's not like they're dead." Jay spoke up, earning himself a punch in the arm from Nya. "Ow!" He yelped.

"It's okay to feel worried for your lover, but you should also concentrate on looking for them, or nothing will get done." Zane advises.

Lloyd sniffs, standing up, "yeah, you're right."

"Are you sure you're okay to move? You look like you'll fall asleep on your feet." Cole frowns, but Lloyd waves him off.

"I can sleep when I find them." And that was that.

It wasn't until a few minutes into the search that his phone got a notification. He jumped on it immediately, finding it was from you. It was a map location, with a text telling him you were lost. I tripped and fell down a hill on my way home, and couldn't get back. Can you pick me up? He nearly screamed with excitement at the thought of you being safe, and texted you back immediately. Yeah, yeah, of course! Just call me next time, okay? I was worried sick for you!

"Wait." Zane put a hand on his shoulder after reading the texts from you. "I feel like this is not (Y/N) talking to you."

"Of course it is," Lloyd scoffs, pulling his shoulder away. "Look, I'll call them to prove it." He taps the button and lets it ring. You pick up and he smirks. "See? It's them. Let's go pick them up and then we can catch this guy." Everyone was pale, their eyes wide with shock and horror. "Huh? What is it?" He turns the phone towards him to see why everyone was freaking out.

He stopped breathing, and his heart began to pound. His phone slipped from his grip and fell to the floor with a light thud, and his body started to shake. Screen up so everyone could see; you were passed out and tied to a chair, head hanging limp so no one could see your face. The video cut out and the location was sent to his phone again. Can you pick me up? The question seemed much more sinister this time.

"We...we have to go."

"Are you dumb? This is obviously a trap!" Kai smacked him over the head. "He got specifically your partner, to lure specifically you, who is also the leader and grandson of the First Spinjitzu Master, by the way, into his trap."

Zane shook his head, "that doesn't make sense, (Y/N) and Lloyd keep their relationship private to the public, no one knows about them except for us. He had a different reason to kidnap (Y/N)."

Nya bites her tongue, before speaking, "well, they did mention they were running away from their father."

Cole nods, "she's right, (Y/N) told us about it when they were talking about their power."

"I don't care what anyone else has to say about it," Lloyd picks up his phone and starts walking towards the location on the map, "I'm going to get my partner, and if no one wants to help, then I'll go alone."

Jay smiles, "I won't let you go by yourself! I'm coming."

"Me too," Cole catches up to him, "you're going to need all the help you can get."

One by one, the other ninja hop on board, and soon they're all on the path to your holding spot. It doesn't take long for them to reach you, especially with their dragons to help, and they surround the building. Lloyd enters first, coming in through the front.

It appeared to be empty, except for you tied up in the chair in the center, but he still proceeded with caution. "(Y/N)?" He whimpers, coming up to you and putting a hand to your cheek. The rest of the ninja are hiding in the shadows, waiting for any sign of danger. "It's okay if you don't wake up, I'll get you home."

The moment he touches the rope around your wrists, all the lights in the building shut down, and something pulls him away from you. He struggles against it, but whoever has him is too strong. By the time the lights are back on, a man similar in look to you stands in front of the ninja, locked in a cage of Vengestone. He chuckles, and puts a hand under your chin. "Wake up, (Y/N). Your friends are here for a play date."

At the sound of his voice, your head snaps up, and you're awake. You don't do anything but struggle and scream against the ropes, spitting threats and profanities at your father. "I don't want anything to do with you! Let me go! I'll kill you!"

He tsks, and shakes his head. "Is that any way to greet your father? Honestly, I thought your mother raised you better than this." His eyes widen, "oh, yes, I forgot about what happened to her. I'm terribly sorry, my baby." His words are insincere.

"Don't ever call me that! You lost the right to call me your child when you killed my mother!"

He simply taped your mouth to keep you quiet. "Children can be so loud sometimes." He sighs, then walks over to the cage. "You," he looks at Lloyd, "I must congratulate you on winning their heart; it must've been hard."

"Actually, it isn't." Kai snaps. "You're just a terrible father!"

His head whips to face him, and it makes the fire ninja nervous. "Did I ask you anything? Children these days have no manners." He scoffs.

"How's this for no manners?" Jay asks, before blowing a raspberry at him.

He snarls in distaste, exposing sharp teeth. "Wh...what are you?" Cole's voice shakes as he waits for an answer.

Your father grins, showing off more. "A monster child comes from monster parents. Do you have any idea how hard it is to selectively breed for a child like my dear (Y/N)? They didn't get any physical traits from me, but they did get the ability to chew through solid steel, and manipulate the mind."

"You used (Y/N)'s mother?! You're sick!" Nya yells.

"No!" He yells, eyes flashing red. "It is you who are sick! Humans are a disease; a weakness who use your numbers to push around those who are not like you! But we monsters are strong, much stronger than any human. My plan is to use my child's DNA to mutate the entire human population into monsters, so we will become the strongest in the whole of Ninjago!"

Lloyd bangs his fists against the cage, "I won't let you do this to them! Can't you see that they don't want any of this? You're the only one!"

Your father looked over his shoulder to glance at you, crying in your chair and shaking your head, before he closes his eyes. "My little (Y/N)...does not know what they want. But I do. Soon they'll see that this is for the best."

Instead of crying harder, you get angry, thrashing around in your chair. It tips and falls to the side, and you continue squirming on the ground until you can rub the tape off your mouth. You bend your legs upwards so you can chew off the rope around them, then you work on standing up, and you come off the chair. Hands working at the rope behind your back, you yell at your father. "Let them go! Let them all go, and give up!"

He chuckles, "and who's going to stop me? You?"

The rope around your hands finally fall off and you sniff. "Yeah." You prepare for an attack by getting into a defensive position.

The difference between monsters and humans is that while some might look like humans in their morphed form, they will always be faster and stronger than the average one. Your bodies became hard to distinguish blurs in the building, as you punched, kicked, and blocked each other. The winner of this battle was clear; you were younger, and stronger, but your father had an advantage over you that would force his victory over you. All he had to do was put the knife to the right neck.

"Stop! One more step and I'll kill him." Your father was panting, and bore a scratch on his cheek from one of your nails. In his hand was a shuriken he stole off Zane's body when he stuffed him in the cage, and the tip of it was at your boyfriend's throat, as he held him against the bars.

Both of you looked much different from before. Tails sprouted from both of your backs, ears became sharper and fluffier, and little horns appeared off your heads. You both looked like true monsters now, and while your father loved your new look, you hated it.

Coming down from your intense anger, you revert back to your humanoid form. "No, please," you clasped your hands together and begged, "let Lloyd go, I'll do anything, please."

He continued panting, then shook his head, "no, see? If I let him go, he'll just come running to save you the moment someone frees him and his little ninja buddies from this cage. It would be much easier to kill them all in one go, and then you'll have no choice."

"Y-you...you won't do it." Your voice trembles with uncertainty, "if you do, you lose your bargaining chip. I'll be depressed, but you won't have me anymore. Your plan will fail." You chuckle, "you've lost. Just give up."

His jaw clenches as he continues to think. "I don't need to kill all of them, then. Just this one in particular. The one you love so much." He lets out malicious laughter, and presses the shuriken harder.

"NO!" you fall to your knees. If you ran over to help, he would've died, but if you didn't he still would die. You were running out of options.

"Any last words?!"

You pull at your hair for any solutions, you were running out of time, but you found one. "Wait! Please, listen to me!" You wipe your eyes and take a deep breath. "Their memories. I can erase myself from their memories. They won't come looking for me, and you can let them go. Please, I told you I would do anything, even if it means hurting myself to use my power."

Lloyd shook his head as best he could with a weapon to his neck, "(Y/N), you can't! I love you, you promised you wouldn't use it on us!"

"Lloyd, Lloyd," you crawl up to him on your knees and reach out to hold his hand. Your father lets him go temporarily so you could cup his cheek instead. "I have to, honey, I have to. If I don't you'll die."

He starts to cry. "You said you'd be okay. You promised me when you left that you would be back."

You smile sadly. "I promised I'd be okay. I'll be alive, Lloyd. And you will be, too. All of you will be."

"Hurry it up, already." Your father growls. "How do I know you'll even erase their memories, anyway?! I'll know if you're tricking me."

You gulp and shake your head rapidly. "I won't, I'll erase every little thing about me. It'll be like I never existed. You'll know."

There was outcry from the ninja. They all insisted that they didn't want to forget you; that they'd rather risk their lives than forgetting, that there had to be another way, and that ninja never quit.

You shook your head again, "that's the difference between you and me. You are all humans and ninjas. I'm just a monster. I give up so you don't have to."

They continue pleading to you, but this time, you don't listen.

"You haven't even used your powers in years; this could kill you!" Lloyd screamed.

You started with Zane first, as you spent the least time together, and there would be less memory to go through. Arms out like you were going to give him a hug, you closed your eyes and fixated on his mind. When you opened your eyes, both yours and his began to glow, and one could faintly see images of places and things and people. Once you were finished going through his memories, his eyes closed and he fainted.

The others screamed, either jumping back or rushing to see if he was alright, but you couldn't focus on that right now. You had to be quick, because your father looked impatient. "Hurry up, you're wasting my time. I could easily kill them and finish this."

"No!" You yelled at him angrily. "You'll have all the time in the world after this; just let me work!" You were in a bad mood now from this headache you were having.

Cole was your best friend, and he began to beg. "(Y/N), doesn't our friendship mean anything? Listen to me, you don't have to do this. We can just reboot Zane, or something, and you can let the rest of us free! We can help you!"

You tried not to cry. "I can't. He'll just kill you." You point to your father. "You're my best friend, and I don't want you to see the rest of this. That's why you're next." Tears spilled despite you telling yourself not to, but it couldn't be helped. Hands shaking, you concentrated on him next.

Jay and Kai were huddled up together in the corner, nearly scared to death over what was happening. Cole fainted as well, and you hunched over, holding your face. When you pulled your hand away, there was blood on it. Your nose was bleeding.

"(Y/N), you can't do this. You're hurting yourself!" Lloyd grabbed the bars and pulled on them. "I love you more than anything, please! I'll die if it means you live and the others remember you."

"I can't let you do that!" You frowned. "I love you more than anything, that's why I'm risking my life for you!"

"So why can't I risk mine?!"

"Because the world needs you!!" You shouted. Trying to calm down, you wipe the blood off your face, but it just smears across your upper lip. "You're the Green Ninja, the leader. I'm just a monster." You turn to face Jay, who looks more frightened than Kai. "You can't change my mind about this."

Once Jay is done, you move on to Kai. "I'm growing impatient." Your father warns.

"I'm trying!" You snap at him, before blinking something out of your eyes. It's more blood. Your head is pounding, and you feel both rage and sorrow. "I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying! Just shut up and let me work, you pathetic excuse for a father!" You pick up the chair and hurl it at him, but it just breaks across his chest and doesn't do much damage to him.

"You watch your mouth; you're lucky I even agreed to let you do this, you sniveling, ungrateful brat." He smacks you hard across the back of the head. "Shape up your attitude, before I change my mind."

Crying and bleeding, you don't argue this time, and just work on erasing Nya's memories of you. Like the others, she faints when she's done.

Lloyd leans in to whisper to you, cautious of listening ears. "Can't you leave anything? A clue, a day, your name, just something to remember you by? So I can come back?"

You shake your head. "Everything, Lloyd. If I don't, my father will surely hunt you down." You kiss him. "Remember, being a ninja is your first job." You then discreetly point to his pocket. "And you still have my contact."

He understands. "But you'll get hurt. Look at you, you're barely standing, and you're bleeding from basically everywhere." It was true. While your nose dried up, the blood from your eyes mixed with your tears and kept flowing, and after Nya was finished, your ears began to bleed as well.

It was a painful truth, but it was one that needed to be said so Lloyd would know you would still be alive. "My father wouldn't let me die. He needs me too much."

Lloyd began to cry, "(Y/N), I love you, I love you so much."

You kiss him one last time. "I love you too. So much." It's too much to bear, and you can hardly stand to do it. Looking through Lloyd's memories is both heartwarming and painful. He loved you more than anything, and you saw everything all over again; from your first meeting, to your first kiss and date, and even all the times you had fun together. Instead of erasing his memories, you stole them, to keep for yourself as a comfort when he was gone. "I love you, I love you," you kept whispering to him throughout the whole procedure, until he fainted as well.

"And you're sure every single memory was erased?" Your father asks, kicking at Lloyd's leg as a test to make sure he was out.

You growled at your father for treating him like that. "Yes. And I can prove it." You went through your own memories, looking up at the ceiling to project them. The moment you closed your eyes, though, you were out like a light. You expended too much energy, and you wouldn't be awake for a couple days while your body recovered.

One by one, the ninja woke up. They were in hospital beds, and looked around as they tried to figure out what happened.

Luckily, a nurse came by to check on them. "Oh, you're awake! That was some nasty car crash you were all in, you were out for a while! It's a miracle you made it without too many outside injuries, but you all had concussions."

To his left were Lloyd's street clothes, and for some reason, he felt the urge to check his phone. Sure enough, he found it in pockets, and there was a notification. He opened it up, a text from someone named (Y/N). Hey, Lloyd, I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. I still love you. He kept reading it over and over, feeling creeped out by a stranger messaging him like this. He ignored it and blocked the number, "fans these days are crazy." He muttered to himself. He would always feel like he was forgetting something, but he would never know what.

Finally Nya's season! Our queen, our water goddess, our amazing girl gets what she deserves! 😍😍😍

What I know about the season beforehand is that Nya's powers apparently are getting problematic for some reasons? Which is a pretty common topic in other shows but it's a first in Ninjago, usually the elemental powers don't have focus and I LOVE that we now get to see stuff like that 💕💕💕

I know there should be Wojira involved, trusting The Island to deliver that little foreshadowing at the end of the episode 🤷‍♀️ Also Maya is back... MAYA IS FINALLY BACK AFTER SEVEN SEASONS YES!!! 😭😭😭

I have nothing else to say, I have no idea what this will bring, hopefully something as good as Master of the Mountain! 🖤

Warning reader, I might be fangirling to an extreme because I love mah girl Nya and I've been wanting Kai and Nya's parents to be back ever since Hands of Time ended. So yeah... screaming alert 😅

At this point I don't doubt that the intro is great, we reached such a level of animation and we got The Fold 😍😍 Love the marine vibe and how it's similar to The Island, because it's a great intro 👌

NOW I like the writing! Maybe they rushed the dialogue's quality for The Island to get here? It's just fun and in character, maybe it's just me but I'm enjoying it a lot for now

How many episodes are in this? Wiki says ten, then I checked again and it's sixteen like with Master of Mountain... eh, it looks good so far so it's fine whatever happens 🤷‍♀️

● Golden Weapons is translated to Golden Swords??? And it's pretty much the whole season like this???

● Kai often uses 'friend' when talking about Lloyd (as in, instead of using Lloyd's name it's just 'friend').

● Ronin's name is pronounced Ronan. The name's also changed to 'Ronan' when written down.

● Jay: "We follow Zane and look what happens!" → "Trzy minuty z Zanem i już sukces!" (Three minutes with Zane and it's a success!)

47. Stiix and Stones | Co nas nie zabije to nas wzmocni (What won't kill us makes us stronger)

● Cole "He'd steal the sea if it was worth anything." → "Typ by ukradł własną matkę." (The guy would steal his own mother.)

To be honest I was wondering if it's not supposed to be "okradł" which would mean "steal from", but no. Cole pretty clearly states that he thinks Ronin would steal his mother.

● Deepstone is translated as 'Ethereal Stone'.

● Nya: "You never told us you could do that." → "Nie mówił Mistrz, że mam takiego smoka." (Master, you haven't said that I have a dragon like that.)

● Wu calls Nya 'kid'. Actually, the Ninja are referred to as 'kids' in this season a lot. The characters to do so are Misako, Wu, Borg and Morro. (Morro does it the most, and is the only character to call Lloyd like that individually).

● Instead of saying 'we'll steal the scroll of Airjitzu [from Ronin]', Jay says "we'll steal his Airjitzu". I'm not sure you could even do that, but you do you.

● Morro: "First clue that will lead me to the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master." → "Wskazówka, która doprowadzi mnie do Grobowca Mistrza Yanga." (A clue that will lead me to the Tomb of Master Yang.)

I'm... really buffled on how this translation happened? I guess the translator mixed Spinjitzu up with Airjitzu? The mistake stays for one more episode before it's corrected.

● Kai [to Ronin]: "You said they were hard to come by!" → "Mówiłeś, że ostrza trzymasz u kumpla!" (You said you keep the blades at your friend's!)

48. The Temple on the Haunted Hill | Nawiedzona Świątynia (The Haunted Temple)

● Ronin, when suggesting different names for Steep Wisdom: "Pysznie i Mokro! Ziółka dla Każdego!" (Delicious and Wet! Herbs for Everyone!)

● Soul Archer: "Are you suggesting that we'll need to possess a few more vessels?" → "Sugerujesz, że będziemy musieli ukraść jakieś środki transportu?" (Are you suggesting we'll have to steal some means of transport?)

● Morro: "The girl! Get her!" → "Dziewczyna! Brać ją!"

There's nothing wrong with this translation, but because the articles don't exist in polish, and the way it was said, makes it sound as if Morro got mad from seeing a random girl.

● Nya is pretty much never called 'Water Ninja', it's always '(the Great) Master of Water' or just saying "you have control over the water".

49. Peak-a-Boo | Ciuciubabka (Blind Man's Bluff)

'Duszno', beside 'suffocating/stuffy' can be also understood as 'ghostly'; 'przewietrzyć' (to get some air/ventilate) comes form the noun 'wiatr' (wind), so I think this pun is done amazingly, as it not only alludes to ghosts, but also to Morro's element! The rest of the ghost puns were translated really well too, but this one is definitely my favorite!

● Instead of saying "Heck, I made a carreer out of it", when talking about his failures, Ronin says "Nie trafiło mi się za szczęśliwe życie." (I didn't get to have a happy life).

● Kethanol (which is a made up gas) was translated to 'methane' (a real-life gas).

52. Grave Danger | Grobowiec Losu (The Tomb of Fate)

● Cole: "Just how thick is this glass?" → "A ta szyba jest wodoodporna?" (Is this glass waterproof?)

● Misako: "That girl has always put too much pressure on herself." → "Od dziecka stawiała sobie wysoką poprzeczkę." (She had been setting a high standard for herself since she was a child).

● Jay: "I end up with Nya. (...) N-nothing, just an awesome eyepatch!" → "Nya zostanie moją żoną. (...) Nic, nic, stracę oko!" (Nya will become my wife. (...) It's nothing, I'll lose an eye!)

● Borg: "A Titanium Ninja" → "Jest i mój ulubiony Nindroid!" (And then there's my favorite Nindroid!) Pixal can probably hear you, you know?

When addressing Kai, Cyrus says "And there's my Kai."

● Ghost Cycle is translated as 'Duszny Bike', as in they changed an english word to another english word? (As mentioned earlier 'duszny' can be understood as 'ghostly') It sounds really out of place.

● Nya: "I hadn't even found my True Potential." → "Nawet jeszcze nie wiem co potrafię." (I still don't know what I can do).

Pretty much anytime someone talks about Nya and True Potential it's translated like that. When Nya finally unlocks it, it's translated literally, which makes it a translation inconsistency, since in Season 1 it was 'Pełnia Możliwości' (Fullness of Capabilties).

● Kai: "Nya, when our parents passed, you were there for me." → "Słuchaj, kiedy rodzice zginęli, byłaś dla mnie jak matka." (Listen, when our parents died, you were like a mother to me.)

● Morro: "Cat got your tongue?" → "Borsuk odgryzł ci język?" (Did the badger bit off your tongue?)

The thing is... the equivalent to 'cat got your tongue' in polish would be 'zabrakło ci języka w gębie?' (you ran out of tongue in your mouth?; it's also considered rude). So I have no clue how this translation happened? And it's not like the syllables would add up, since the polish line has three more than the english one? Why did the translator feel the need to invent a new idiom??? I just- Where did the badger even come from???

● Wu calls Lloyd 'son'???????

● When telling Lloyd about Garmadon being in the Cursed Realm, Morro adds that Garmadon's lonely there.

● Nya [when the Preeminent captures Lloyd]: "It's taken him!" "Zabiera Kryształ!" (It's taking the Crystal!)

54. Curseworld, Part II

● Zane: "She's the Preeminent. The physical manifestation of the entire Cursed Realm." → "To ta Znakomitość. Uosobienie wszystkich potworów Przeklętej Krainy." (It's that Preeminent. Personification of all the monsters of the Cursed Realm.)

● Kai: "You stop one, two more grow in its place!" → "Odcinasz jedną, wyrasta dziesięć nowych!" (You cut off one, ten more grow out!)

● Garmadon: "It was never the color of your gi that made you who you are. It was the color of your heart." → "A powiedz mi, od kiedy kolor określa człowieka? Ty sam dobrze wiesz kim jesteś." (Tell me, since when does a color define a person? You know well who you are.)

● Nya: "I thought you were gonna get closer." → "Mieliśmy się chyba dostać do paszczy zła." (I thought we were about to get into the mouth of evil.)

● Jay [after Wu tells them to save the people]: "But what about Lloyd?" → "A co, Lloyd to nie człowiek?" (And what, Lloyd's not human?)

● Misako: "This is what Lloyd would've wanted." → "Nie chciałby żebyśmy zginęli." (He wouldn't want us to die.)

● Lloyd calls Morro 'natręt', which can be understood as an intruder, stalker, interloper or sometimes even a pest.

● Morro: "Why? So you can take the Realm Crystal and use it to find your own prized pupil?" → "Po co? Żebyś mi zaraz zabrał Kryształ i poleciał szukać swojego najukochańszego ucznia?" (For what? For you to take the Crystal from me and go to look for your most beloved student?)

Wu: "You are all my prized pupils! (...)" → "Wszystkich was kocham tak samo!" (I love you all the same!)

Morro: "You can only save those who want to be saved. Goodbye Sensei." → "Ratować możesz tylko tych, którzy mają po co żyć. Żegnaj Mistrzu." (You can save only those who have something worth living for. Goodbye Master.)

● When Lloyd comes back, Wu doesn't mention that he's wearing his father's robes.

● Lloyd [when talking about the Cursed Realm being gone]: "And so is my father." → "Nigdy już nie zobaczę ojca." (I'll never see my father again.)

And that's Possession for you! It took six pages, with the last episode taking around a page and a half.

The shadows created by his tiny flame cut stark figures on the walls, the floor, and both their faces. They were far too sharp to be natural, too unsettling to be ignored. Kai was getting sick of the agitation thrumming under his skin.

This room they'd found was nice and all, especially considering the door had a lock, but they couldn't stand around and wait for safety forever. The longer they stayed put, the longer they risked getting well and truly lost. And seeing how Karlof had been lost when Kai'd found him cornered by the spirit, that was definitely a risk.

Kai twisted the knob and pulled.

The door stayed put.

Frowning, he tried again. And again, tugging more harshly. Still nothing.

They'd just gotten themselves locked inside the room. Did it lock from the outside or something?!

Frustrated when persistently pulling at the door did nothing, Kai yelled and punched it as hard as he could. A moment later, hissing and rubbing his knuckles, he realized that was a mistake.

"Let Karlof try," the other man said, buckling up to attack and slamming the door with all the force he had. Both of his gauntlets hit the wood with an impressive, booming 'thud', but the door held. Kai squinted — were there even any cracks on the thing?

"Uhh … do it again," he suggested hurriedly. "Maybe if you keep at it, it'll start to crack."

And Karlof did take a few more spirited swings at the door standing in their way. No good; somehow the door was still in one piece. Not even anything other than hairline cracked. (Just how did a stinking door manage to be stronger in the face of Karlof's punches than him, anyway? Ouch, his ego.)

"Doesn't make sense! How is door not broken already?" Karlof asked, absolutely dumbfounded.

"Great question! Wish I knew." Petulantly, he threw his leg back and kicked. Unsurprisingly, it did nothing, and he was left glowering at the door as his toe throbbed briefly. The last bit of the flame in his hand winked out as he lost his focus, and he had to generate a new one. (Blast their weakened powers.)

Okay, so this was an exasperating turn of events. But hey, they could find another way out. Kai's free hand flew to his chin as he thought about it. Maybe they didn't have to break the door …

"Hey, Karlof. Maybe if you use your metal powers to rip off the hinges. You think we could get the door off that way?"

Karlof just stared at him for a second.

"Karlof don't particularly care."

Hold on, what.

"Walked all day just to get to stupid mansion, then ran around forever just to get away from ugly monster. All Karlof want right now is some rest."

"Tell me you're joking," Kai hissed. "We can rest once we get back to where we were! Unless you wanna be wandering around lost."

"Breaking down door takes energy. Karlof don't have energy right now. Plus, if we can't go out, monster can't come in," Karlof pointed out.

He had a point. Kai remembered what the others had said about the magic surrounding everything. It leeched their energy, didn't it? Karlof looked pretty wiped. He was loathe to stay away from the others any longer than necessary, and he hated how everything about this place felt, but it'd be just mean to deny the guy a chance to rest. He liked to think he wasn't that much of a jerk.

Karlof grimaced after a moment. "Also … maybe pulled leg muscle while running. Don't know for sure."

"Oh, and of course you save that for last," Kai groaned. "Okay, fine. We'll stay in here a while. You're just lucky the door's locked."

"What I wouldn't give for a working camera right now, to capture the look on your face." Cole shook his head and chuckled.

No one had counted on the passage from the clock workshop taking them right back to the room they were staying in — least of all Jay and Skylor, who had their first taste of the passages from a bewildered posse of ninja stumbling out of the wall. They'd both jumped nearly clear to the ceiling; poor Skylor had actually almost fallen off of the bed she was sitting on trying to scramble to her feet.

"Ohh, shut up! The wall just opened up out of nowhere and spit you out; what was I supposed to think?! You would've have been just as startled!"

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, zaptrap."

"It was pretty funny," Lloyd said, smile muted but genuine.

"Helpful," Jay huffed. "You wouldn't happen to have found them, would you?"

Cole shook his head and gestured at the empty space to his left. "What do you think?"

Jay sighed, expression dropping. "Thought so. … You guys mind explaining why the walls just spit you out?"

"Please," Skylor added. "If you're going to give me a heart attack, at least tell me why."

Lloyd turned to really see her, and noticed that she was fiddling with what looked to be the pieces of her crossbow. Then he did a double-take. Before he could say anything, Zane spoke up.

"Apologies for startling you, and hello, Skylor. It's good to see that you're — oh my."

"Yeah, I know." Skylor grinned ruefully, eyes obscured by…

"Those are Kai's shades," Lloyd blurted out. "How come …?"

"Ask Jay," she shrugged. "He had the idea of giving them to me in the first place."

"Hey, I couldn't dim the lamp or fireplace anymore or they'd go out, and I know Kai's always carrying a pair of sunglasses with him, so …yeah."

"They really do help, though," Skylor said. "It's easier to fix this thing" — she frowned at her broken weapon of choice — "when I can keep my eyes open."

"Good to hear it," Zane said, ever the one to keep tabs. "But hopefully you won't be needing it too soon." Skylor frowned, but didn't respond.

It was hard to figure out how he felt about this. On the one hand, heh. Of course Kai kept sunglasses on him at all times.

On the other hand, the fact that they were Kai's only pulled worse at something in Lloyd's chest. If they didn't find him fast, Skylor using his sunglasses was gonna feel more like a sick joke than anything …

He expelled the thought quickly.

Kai would be okay. He had to be.

Cole went around haphazardly patting different objects in the room until he knocked back a glass lantern on the mantelpiece shutting the passage entrance, meriting a few snickers at how silly he looked. Then he started telling Jay and Skylor how they'd discovered the passage system, but gratefully let Zane explain the uglier details. Lloyd jumped in to describe their surroundings in the open hallways and several rooms that had been explored as well, including some of the more eccentric details. Skylor, having evidently taken on the role of unofficial scribe out of sheer boredom with her current situation, reached for a notepad and started scribbling away, asking questions ever so often.

"You know what I think is going on here?" Jay said, after a beat. "We crossed dimensions walking through the forest and now we're in a horror video game. That's what happened."

"Jay."

"Listen, I'm right," Jay declared, with far more confidence than he had any right to have. "Think about it. Everything's too quirky. Too conveniently inconvenient."

"Jay, I swear to Lloyd's grandfather I will hurt you." The effect of Cole's words were mostly nullified by the fact that he was shaking his head in his hands. (And for the record, it was still weird when people swore on his grandfather.)

"Explain," Skylor said, openly giggling at the absurdity, and Zane looked as confused as he did amused.

Ahh, good ol' Zane.

Still, the fact that Jay was joking around when there were people missing rubbed him the wrong way.

"I'm serious! We just so happen to be stuck in here because the doors won't open, and they can't be busted down, and the windows are barred! Have you ever heard a more video-game thing in your life?"

"Splendid situational analysis skills right there, Jay," Cole responded drily. "A+. What do you propose we do to solve this?"

But then again … Cole had been tensed up and radiating apprehension, the entire time they were searching, to the point where it had started to make Lloyd nervous, too. He looked like he was beginning to lighten up again, as he poked at Jay's ridiculousness.

"Whoa, hey, I didn't ask for leader talk! Just saying. Not to mention, that ugly ghost clown respawns when you kill it. That's some next-level malarkey right there."

"D-don't call it that," Skylor gasped in between laughs. Evidently the pain meds had kicked in.

"And why not, huh? Are you trying to tell me it doesn't look like a clown and the Overlord had a really ugly baby?"

"Goodness," Zane remarked.

"Jay, do you ever think before you open your mouth?" Cole groaned, exasperated chuckles slipping out despite his best efforts. "Ever?"

"It's a personal point of pride to improv anything and everything I say," Jay said matter-of-factly. "Come on, you know this."

"This is why you're not group leader."

And since when was Lloyd the one to growl at any sign of fun when things were rough? He'd seen the way Jay's face had dropped when Cole announced that Kai and Karlof were still missing, and according to Zane he'd fought it before. If he was goofing off, it wasn't for lack of understanding the gravity — it was in spite of it.

So he'd bite. He'd pick back up the pieces of the child left over from when he'd been too small for the green gi, and play along. When they went back out to search, it'd be easier to keep his morale up if he let loose a little now.

They needed this.

"You know, Jay does have a point," he chimed in now. When everyone's attention turned to him, he grinned and clarified, "About the video game thing. Also the things in here are so … weird, they might as well be props. Like the clocks! What would anyone do with that many clocks?"

"And it does seem odd that there would be so many weapons on display …" Zane murmured under his breath.

"Yeah, exactly!"

Jay beamed. "Finally, someone sees it my way! I would bet my hand that this is all because of that dumb discount survivor Kai got at the shady store across from Doomsday Comix. I knew there was something weird about it. You should never trust a shady discount game."

"Hey, Kai got that game for you, because he was sick of you bellyaching about the Temple being haunted!" Cole replied. "Think an awful lot of me, doncha? Won't even take the former ghost's word that there's no ghosts in there."

"Uh, like I'd take your word for anything! Why don't you take this?" Jay threw a pillow at Cole's shoulder, much to their shock. They held their breath and waited for their reaction … and Cole worked his jaw for a second, then promptly picked up the pillow and nailed Jay in the face with it.

"Whoa, hey!" Lloyd cried. They paused and looked at him again.

"... We don't have nearly enough pillows for this."

Jay only blinked for a split second before grinning, balling up his blanket and whacking Cole with that instead.

Skylor doubled over laughing.

Absolute mayhem ruled for all of five minutes. Zane had been unwittingly dragged into the pillow/blanket fight that had evolved, and Lloyd figured if everyone else bar the one person who couldn't was doing it, he was definitely throwing himself into the ring. It only lasted up to Cole and Zane ganging up on him and wrapping him into a blanket burrito until he was screaming uncle. Even if she couldn't participate, Skylor was absolutely living for the chaos; she was practically munching on popcorn, tossing stray bedding into the fray (from a safe distance) for the rest of them to pounce on.

When they eventually settled down and sobered up, the air settling down on their shoulders again wasn't as oppressive. The soft afterglow lingering after they'd laughed some of their stress out made everyone feel a little more like they would be okay in the end, like they could go out and search again and they'd find everything they needed to — Kai, Karlof, and a way to escape this awful place and put it behind them for good.

But for right now …

"So. What's next?" Cole fluffed a pillow and set it back on the bed he'd grabbed it from.

"We should go back out and keep looking," Lloyd stated, grabbing a blanket off the floor and pointedly folding it in an apologetic-looking Zane's direction. Cole snorted — Zane might've felt a liiiiittle guilty about teaming up on Lloyd and accidentally knocking Jay down with a pillow, but he'd enjoyed every bit of that fight, and Lloyd knew it and he knew they both knew it.

"So soon?" Skylor asked. "You were gone for a while. Maybe you should take a break or something first …"

"Yeah!" Jay agreed, putting away his own blanket. "You were walking in secret passages and stuff! Aren't you tired? I know I'd be."

"If we do go out again, we should switch out who remains here with Skylor to prevent that," Zane said.

"Not 'if'," Lloyd said. "It's dangerous out there, and didn't you say Kai was injured? Karlof doesn't have any idea what he's up against if he bumps into it, either. Not to mention, we haven't even seen a trace of Shade around longer we wait, the worse our chances of finding them are. I say we keep looking a little longer."

Cole grimaced. He understood Lloyd's impatience, of course. He was worried, they all were, and nothing about their current situation looked good. And every second they spent trapped put him painfully in mind of another haunted building that had preyed on their fears and ended in nothing but trouble …

But the green ninja's insistence on searching until they found their missing was beginning to look near-obsessive. And while he hadn't said a word about being tired, his group had been on the move almost constantly since before they'd even arrived at the mansion. He'd fought for his life once already, and the building's magic was persistently weakening them. He had to be tired. Cole knew he was.

For the kid's sake, Cole hoped again that they were alright. If they weren't …

He shut the train of thought down before it could set itself off. He could do without losing his composure like that again, particularly now that he wasn't as isolated.

"Ech. I was actually thinking we have lunch or something first. It's been a while since any of us ate."

"Lunch …?"

Ohhh First Spinjitzu Master he could not be serious.

"Yes, Lloyd," he said dryly, "sometimes human beings need to eat food. You know, to survive and stuff."

"I know that!" Lloyd exclaimed. "But how do you know that it's lunch time, specifically?"

Cole paused to consider it. Usually, his appetite was the subject of a fair few jokes, but here he was using it as a surprisingly reliable indicator of when they should eat, sharpened with fatigue as it was. Because he was absolutely basing this off of his appetite.

A crinkle broke the quiet. Heads turned to see nothing else but Jay, teeth already sunk into a granola bar and blinking up at them.

"What?"

Cole sighed, rummaging through his backpack and frowning when it took a minute to find him anything worth eating. He unwrapped a sandwich as he said his next words.

"First trail mix at unholy hours of the morning, now this. If you're going to keep snacking precisely when it's not time to eat, you can't turn around and wonder why you're never hungry. I mean, not to suggest there's ever a bad time to eat, but you know what I mean."

"But I'm not hungry enough to eat a full meal!" Jay protested. "Any more than this and … I dunno. Don't feel up to it. And aren't you a fine one to talk?"

"But he has a point," Zane said, concerned. "Your appetite is usually larger than this. Does your stomach still hurt?"

"Nah," Jay said dismissively, though he polished off the bar and didn't make a move to eat anything else. "I'm just not that hungry. Besides, I'll just save it for later."

Cole opened his mouth to tell him to eat at least a little more, anyway, but the last thing he'd said made him think.

Because when he considered it …

"We're starting to run low on food, aren't we?"

"Now that you mention it, I guess we are," Lloyd said, surrendering to the fact that they were eating now and pulling out some food. He didn't immediately eat it, though. "And we can't go get more, can we?"

"I have extra food in my bag," Zane offered, looking a little meek. "... The truth is, I kept storing food and snacks in it for missions and never remembered to take them out. It might not be all that much, but perhaps it could help us last a little longer."

"Hoarder."

"Hey, it's saving our hides now, isn't it?" Lloyd elbowed Jay. "Be nice."

"But I'm afraid it won't last us forever …"

"Right. We gotta think long-run," Cole said. "We have backup food, but there's …" He took a moment to count. "Five of us. Seven including the missing two. And none of us are running on full strength. This stuff's gonna go fast. If Zane's stash runs out, we've got no way to get more from outside, plus there's no way anything in here would be edible."

"Blegh." Jay made a face. "Can you imagine what it'd be like? The mold probably has mold growing on it. No thank you."

"Thank you, Jay, you're really doing wonders for my appetite." Skylor groaned.

"You're very welcome."

"Keep it to yourself," Cole said. "Just because you're not hungry doesn't mean you have to make sure everyone else isn't."

Jay harrumphed at him but didn't say anything else.

"We need to ration, don't we?" Lloyd said.

"I don't like that," Jay said. "That implies we're staying here."

"... Not that I like the idea," Cole hated it, in fact. "But again, we might have to start thinking long-term. Hopefully, Kai and Karlof aren't far, but who knows how long it'll actually take to find them. And that's not even taking into account how we'll find a way to escape …"

"Okay, you've made your point," Jay moaned. Cole followed his gaze to Lloyd, who was eating his honey sandwich with dark eyes, and sighed, feeling another twinge of worry.

"Well, this doesn't bode well for me," Skylor commented. "I didn't think we'd get holed up this long."

"Is this about food? How much do you have?" Zane asked.

"Mm? Only about enough for a day and a half, plus snacks. And that's being generous," she admitted sheepishly. "I've only got a little more left."

"It's alright," Cole replied. "None of us were really expecting it. You can just … mooch off of Zane?"

"Well, geez." Skylor raised an eyebrow. It was pretty funny, paired with the sunglasses. "When you put it that way."

"Don't worry," Zane reassured her. "Feel free to take what you need."

"Pft. Alright," Skylor said at last. "Thanks."

"Glad we got that set straight, but what're we gonna do about water?" Lloyd brought up. "My bottle's nearly empty."

"He has a point," Zane said. "Having food is essential, but we cannot afford to dehydrate, either."

"Man, Nya'd be nice to have around for that," Cole sighed. "... But it's probably a good thing she's not here."

"It's been well over a day and we still haven't contacted her."

"Maybe longer, even," Jay sighed glumly. His eyes flickered with worry for a second. "You … don't think she'd come looking for us, do you?"

"Don't sound so hopeful, Jay," Cole warned him. "There's no way it'd end well if she did."

"It was bad enough when I ran into it," Lloyd added. "If it stumbled into her before we did …"

"Okay, okay, I get it," Jay whimpered. "Forget I said anything."

"But do we need a water master for that?" Skylor cut in. "We could try to melt ice and make do that way."

"PIXAL has the same idea. But that would be most efficiently done with a controlled heat source such as Kai's fire, and Kai isn't with us right now," Zane said. Lloyd's face darkened.

"I know, but once we find him. Because we are going to," she said pointedly.

"I suppose I could just set some ice near the fireplace and let it melt, even though it would still be slow," Zane said. "Until we find Kai, of course."

"Right," Lloyd answered before Cole or Jay could say anything. "We will." But the room felt tenser again, more quietly charged than it had before.

How much longer they could keep that conviction up remained to be seen.

Third person POV

A day had passed since the reveal of the green ninja. It was a surprise to learn that Lloyd, a kid, was the supposed chosen one. It was shock to, well everyone on board the Bounty.

It was Wednesday, so Shannon was tasked with cooking for the day. She stood, cutting vegetables for the side dish she was wiping up alongside the English breakfast she had made. Her mind was filled with ‘what if's’. As an older sister to 10 younger brothers, 4 of which that happen to be around Lloyd’s age it was startling for her. There was no telling when the 'Final Battle' will take place and what would happen during it, took the focus from the sharp edge of the blade she was holding.

"ow, damn it-" dropping the knife on the cutting board as she cursed. Bringing the cut wound to her lips she sucked on it as she searched for the bandages they kept in the kitchen just incase if kind of thing happened.

After finding bandages and bandaging the cut Shannon finished fixing up the salad. Just as she set the freshly tossed salad on the table the other residents of the ship walked in.

"Morning Shannon" "Mornin' Zane"

The other ninja mumbled a good morning as well as they took their set's at the table and began eating the breakfast prepared.

"Hay Shannon what happened to your hand?" Lloyd asked looking at the older girls hand.

"Oh, accidently cut myself." She replied placing her coffee cup down looking over at the small blonde. She ruffled his hair earning a ‘stop it’ from the boy, and chuckled at how messy his hair was now. 

The rest of breakfast went without much problem seeing as how everyone was still riding down from the adrenaline that was yesterday. It all seemed peaceful still Garmadon walked in.

Shannon's POV

Garm walked in, late as usual. And as usual we where all kinda put off with what he was eating. Dark matter grubs I think there called? Never payed much attention to this sorta thing really. I just can't get the truth we uncovered yesterday. Lloyd being the green ninja. Its going to hard for him I can tell.

Letting out an tried sigh I got up with my now empty plate and made my way over to the sink.

"Shannon, the Bounty is landing in a bit. You wanna come run groceries with me?" Nya asked as I passed her.

"Uhh, sure just tell me when you're planning on leaving." "You got it!"

Third person POV

As stated by Nya the Bounty had landed not long after they finished washing the dishes. The boys were outside training. Shannon seated cross-legged on the steps just watching with Wu. Garmadon had disappeared back into the ship, probably his room for the time being. Lloyd was hanging around the place too, inside reading. And Nya was getting ready to head out.

It wouldn't be for another 10 minutes till Garmadon emerged from where ever he was.

And unfortunately for everyone he was at the steps of the ship leading to where the ninja were training, and felt like causing some chaos.

Now it's not the man's fault, he has the venom of an equally evil snake brooding in his veins.

He knew he couldn't mess with the ninja, it was like a principle thing seeing as how they where tolerating his presence on the ship. Wu literally came to what might have been hell to most folks and brought him back to Ninjago to save his son. Nyas off limits, and as much as he wants to, his son, Lloyd is probably still shaken from not just the green ninja thing, but the snakes as well.

Which left Shannon.

The young lady had made it clear since there first interaction, that she held nothing against the dark lord. In fact she even played along with his bullshit if she felt like it. Best part, she can hold her own too. She may not train with the boys often but she knows spinjitzu, and has proven to be a good fighter, Shans just lax and a go with the flow kind of person.

With that in mind, he decided to make a comment.

"Not going to change?"

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Shannon questioned, she didn't bother to look at him, as she took a swig from her tea that Wu had generously offered.

"With the amount of purple you wear you might get mistaken for a snake"

"Phff, at least I don't look like a took a bath in tar"

With that, a swift yet not powerful smack to the back of the teens head was earned. It was supposed to be playful, harmless but as the force of the hit passed through the youngers head, the sound of heavy glass hitting wood made itself known. This caused the boys to stop and turn there attention back over to the steps on the deck. As Shannon looked up, it became evidently clear she was missing her right eye.

Panic ensues.

Jay, Cole, Kai, and Zane screamed at the fact there friends eye was now just gone. Garmadons just standing there questioning if he put more power than he initially thought he did. Wu went wide eyes as he stared at the girl next to him, seeing small streams of blood leak out the now empty eye socket. Lloyd and Nya came running out to only to scream themselves.

With a sigh Shannon picked up her Eye and monical that had fallen.

"Guys, chill out!" She yelled.

"CHILL OUT! SHAN YOU EYE FEEL OUT OF YOUR HEAD" the Blue ninja yelled. Pointing at the eye in the Burnetts hand.

"Its a glass eye bolts for brain's" Shan retorted.

"Glass eye?" Cole repeated.

"Yes, a glass eye! Why did you think I wore a monocle instead of regular glasses? Sure I can't see jack with my right eye but it acts as a shield of sorts!"

"I-im so sorry, are you okay Shannon?" Garmadon asked.

"Ya, im fine" she answered.

After that everyone had gone inside. Zane grabbed the medical kit to disinfect and put a temporary patch over Shannon's eye. Garmadon had taken the glass eye and with the recommended disinfectant Shannon just so happen to have on her, put the bloody thing in a black glass cup filled with warm water and the disinfectant liquid mixture, to clean it. He may be the bad guy, but he's never really hurt anyone to the point they lose something like an eye.

Once done he gave the glass to Shannon who was now sitting in the armchair.

"So, umm how'd you uh- you know lose you eye?" Kai asked weirly, he feared there might be some sort of trauma along with it and didn't want to trigger it.

"You don't have to tell us!" Nya quickly added.

"Na its fine" Shannon said as she waved off there concerns.

"I was about seven when it happened. Home invasion. The guy had a gun. I had heard sound from downstairs and curiosity got the best of me. I think your all smart enough to piece together what happened next" she said. Everyone kinda relied back at the mear mental image.

"Yikes" Jay, shivered at the thought of it.

"I mean it’s not all that bad I guess. Altho I didn't have a say in whether or not I got a fake eye"

"What do you mean you didn't get a say in it?"

"It’s exactly as I say it is. When I woke up my depth perception was crap, but I had both my eyes. It wasn't until the doctor told me my parents were admit about me having one"

"So are, you like going to be ok or?"

"I'll be fine green bean, if anything this was a good thing, means I need a new one. Thankfully I shot my brother text about one lot long ago." Shannon said dismissively

"Brother?" Wu questioned.

"Okay, Nya you ready to got out?"

"Ya but it can wait-" "I'm good, I swear Nya lets go" the older girl instead as she got up and dragged Nya out the ship for their planned outing. (She put the glass with the eye in the table as they left)

"Well that was, concerning" Cole said as the two girls disappeared.

It was around midday the girls were not back yet. Jay was still unnerved by the eye in the cup being in such an open area, moved it over to the kitchen counter. Training was cut short because of the incident. Wu taking into account not just the mental impact of one of his charges eyes popping up in front of them, but the buildup of stuff they'd been having to deal with since his absence. Besides when the girls get back they all need to talk of a plan to get the Fang Blades back from the Serpentine before they can awaken the Devourer. 

Wu and his brother where out front on the deck talking, it felt like forever to the two of them since they last spoke in such good terms. The guys (pluss Lloyd) where inside playing video games as a pass time. It wasn't long after when the sound of a car, a taxi, could be heard coming there way. As the taxi came to a stop the guys had logged off there game and stepped out to grate the return of the only two females on their team. 

But instead of the raven and green tipped brunette haired, a blond tipped brunette boy stepped out the vehicle (not before paying of course) and made his way over to the Bounty. 

“umm, dumb question since there aren't many flying ships around, but is this the Destiny's Bounty?” The Boy asked as he neared the ship. upon closer inspection the boy was wearing a leather jacket with a white under shirt, and jeans with a pair of black converse. He had a mailman bag slung over his shoulder. 

“ya it is, what bring you all the way out here though?” Cole answered as he crossed his arms. attempting to look menacing which seemed to be working.   

“uh, I came to drop something off for my sister, Shannon?” The boy answered.

“Shannon, as in the monocle waring Shan?” Jay asked 

“yes! that one!” 

“Cool, Cool... wanna climb on board?” Kai asked him.

“Would I!” The boy, Shannon’s brother made is way up on the Bounty.

“By the way, what you name” Zane asked as the brunet dorded.

“Shane, Shane Maywather and might I say it’s a pleasure to meet the guys my sister has been staying with after all this time.” He, Shane replied.

“wait, so let me get this straight” Cole stood with his hands on his head, clearly confused by what was said. 

Its been about an hour since Shane was let on borde and the guy could see why his sister liked it here so much.  

“there are 10 of you? including Shane makes 11″ Cole sated. Shane just nodded as he let the earth ninja racape what Shane had told them. Wu and Garmadon where in the kitchen intently listening to the conversation they were having.  

“yup, Shan and I are the oldest, there where are the quads; Jason, Mayson, Tyson, Carson.” He started again listing his younger siblings.

“Then the triplets; Asher, Carter and Xavier. Then the last set of twins; Franklyn and Merlyn” Shane finished. 

“No wonder Shannon can deal with us so well” Jay said looking astonished.

“ya she had to deal with 9 younger brothers and one older one” Kai remarked. Shane snickered before correcting him.

“Shannon is the oldest, in fact despite us being twins, she’s technically a year older than me.” 

“But isn't being twins, like two people being born on the same day?” Zane inquired.

“True, but you see, my mom had Shannon on december 31st 1995, at around 11:55pm, I then happened on january 1st 1996 at 00:02am in the morning” Shane explained.

“dude” Jay commented. Shane laghed.

“yup,Shannons the ‘big sister’ of the house” He said glancing about.  

“i'm surprised though, i though Shannon would have at least mentioned something about you guys to us” Lloyd pipped in. He enjoyed Shannons company she made him feel welcome. And when she caught him setting up the prank for Kai as his uncle had asked him to, she gave him some pointers on how to eviscerate Kai’s high score. Even took some pressure off him as she stayed in the room in anticipation for the fire ninja so they wouldn't get too suspicious. To learn Shan had several younger brothers, like Jay commented, meade scene in how she was not only dealt with them but was able to deal with his father so well.

“Honestly,it's do be expected. Because Shannons the oldest our parents are hard on her... We come from a fairly well of family to the point where money is more or less a play thing to our folks” Shane started, the ninja(pluss Loyd)went wide eyed.

“so you're saying you guys are rich?” Jay asked dumbfounded. Shane fidgeted with his fingers.

“Y-Ya pretty much. But Shannon, and our parents, they... They don't get along at all. For all i can remember, the only time i've ever had with Shan was when she wasn't in any of her classes or extracurriculars. They pushed her to be perfect, and at the same time pushed her away. Looking back there where countless arguments over a lot of what they where doing” Shane said looking down at his lap. 

“There was this one argument that just hit the nail in the head though, a couple years back, it was during dinner and our parents had invited a business associates family over. They had a son, about three years older then Shannon and I. Our parents had announced that he would be Shannons fiance and thighs went downhill fast” Looking up once more Shane let a had run though his hair as he relieved the memory. The guys were taken aback by this, seeing as how Shan was arguably one of the most level headed people they knew. 

“sounds stressful” Kai quipped not really knowing how to respond to that, bur as a brother to a sister himself he could understand the feeling of not wanting your sibling to do be forced into doing something they don't want to. 

“You don’t half of it” Shan said with a sigh. 

“After that, she stormed out never to be seen scene again. At least physically, she managed to keep contact with me, we talk but not as much as either of us would like...” He finished leaning back and letting the surprisingly soft couch engulf him. 

“I’m glad though,she deserves a break after everything” Shane commented.

“ya well if you call fighting an army of skeletons, snakes and eventually Garmadon a brake, then you my friend are in need of a vacation as well” Jay replied plopping down next to Shane with a dorky grin. The tenshin that had been building in Shane dissipated, yup he could really see why his sister liked it here so much.

Dropping the topic of who much his and Shannon's parents where that talked about other random things. It was a little bit later when the girl got back.  The two where catting about, something girl related when they walked into the main room of the Bounty. 

“Hey! Welcome back! And guess how came to visit?!” Jay sang, gesturing to Shane who was seated next to him. Shannon looked over at her bother in shock she thought-

"Good to see you again Sister!~" Shane said as be bolted form where he was sitting to envelope Shannon in a hug. As he did Shannon dropped the bags she was holding, seemingly shocked that her blood brother was here. 

“Shane?” She breathed, then hugged him back, leaning into it. 

After a bit the two separated.

“It’s good to see you again Shane! How have you been?” “Good, good, what about you? what happened to your eye? Where is it?” 

Shan laughed a little and shook her head.

“There was an accident this morning, Garmadon hit the back of my head and it just popped out” Shane stood still. Taking in the information. Once complete he turned and tried to lunged to where Garmadon was, if it wasn't for Shannon having grabbed him in that split second. He probably would have gone into a full on fist fight with the dark lord. 

“Lemme go! I'm going to eviscerate him!” Shane hissed struggling against his sisters grip. Thank the First Spinjitzu Master that Shannon trained with the boys ocashinaly. 

“Calm down little brother it was an accident” “Like HELL”  

The two go back and forth a little more till Shane camls down. Garmadon rightfully spooked at the fact that this, well mannered, e-boy looking, kid was threatened to ‘eviscerate’ him. 

“Fine, I won’t attack him, doesn't mean I won’t like it” Shane said mutting that last bit. 

“Seriously (1)Balach Milis, if you applied this anger properly, you wouldn't have to deal with what Eric and Lizzibeth right?” Shannon said as she let him go. picking up the grocery bags, and placed them on the counter. 

“(2)Flùr Gaoithe, you know when it comes to Mama and (3)Athair I can’t do do that!” He complained like a small child. 

“You really need to grow a backbone” Shane said shaking her head.

Things had settled down since then.  

“It’s getting late, I should get going, I have band practice tomorrow and need the rest.” “boo, skip and just stay here for the week” “Flùr Gaoithe” “Balach Milis“ 

With that The younger twin got up, gave his sister the new glass eye she had asked for, said his goodbyes, shot Garmadon one last glar, and left. 

“Your brother seems like a nice person” Gramadon said looking over the the greet tipped girl. 

“Ya, he’s awesome. Wish he was less of a pushover tho” 

Jay feeling thirsty, walked over into the kitchen. He spotted the black glass cup, completely having forgot about the eye inside it. Now you can't really see anything at the bottom. And Jay, in his infinite wisdom, thinking it was just some random cup of random water that had been left on the kitchen counter, and drank from it. 

“OH GOD” 

 “Did Jay drink from the eye glass?” Lloyd asked his uncle who was watching from the blue ninja form the table.

“He drank from the eye glass” Wu confirmed. The others erupted into a fit of laughter and giggles.

this was translated using google translate, the language being Scottish Gaelic. I know Ninjago was based off of asian culture. But like I said, Shan it scottish for unfortunate and unfair. Also nothing in the lore of the show explicitly states that Ninjago is the only continent on the planet. 

I HC that there are different parts of the world. its safe to say Ninjago is the main land where a lot of the exciting things happen, but across who knows how long away there are different countries. And Shannon’s family like immigrated to Ninjago, during it’s early years where big contributors and financial support, in building the city.

Here we are! What a journey, and while perhaps this season wasn't at MoM level it was REALLY good, with great new villains/allies, great little throwbacks and an awesome story! 🤩

This type of plot twist reminds me of our early seasons. Zane sacrificing himself, Garmadon giving up his life, those moments that made me so curious and excited about the following. I have no idea what will be the outcome for this, but I can't wait to find out

With that out of the way, AMAZING SEASON 😍😍😍 I think this finale beats MoM's, just because it was really unexpected and opens up a SEA of possibilities... yeah too soon 😭

I'm still shaken, my world, they did something HUGE and I do hope it will be a good shake to the entire Ninjago plotline. Nya is "gone", we still don't know about the person behind all that vengestone, we haven't heard from Garmy in forever, there are so many good ideas out there now that they've set the ground for more 🤩🤩

Voice acting was *chef's kiss*, not only for the villain which I already stressed enough about, I think Kelly reached a new level of emotional intimacy with Nya and I'm so happy she showed her skills 💜💜

Animation is TOP, there's little to no point into saying anything else since they showed it very clearly in the latest season ☺

This was the emotional, witty and engaging writing I was looking for! Good jokes, meaningful dialogues, emotional scenes, everything was really good and I'm gonna rewatch some scenes especially for that 😍

It turned out having Maya and Ray back was kind of a distraction to fool us all 😅😅 Well played actually, and it was very cool seeing them again in any case 🙋‍♀️

And now? Jay lost his love, I have no idea if the show will work on him getting over her or hold onto her memory (thinking of Jay probably the latter, although I do think that handling the first would be an interesting idea). KAI LOST HIS SISTER 😢😢😢 I have no doubt he's gonna beat himself up for it, like he did when Zane was gone too. Everyone lost their friend, she had become such a vital part of the team and now she is not here anymore it will be hard...

They are back with the four plus one green savior formation, I sincerely don't know how I feel about that 😅 I'm always happy when we get the OGs, but this is about going on without Nya... maybe Skylor will be called? Or Pixal will be more active? That could be interesting to see, who knows 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Gosh, how are they going to handle the next season? It will have to give A LOT of answers to the millions questions we all have right now. Man I can't wait, it could be anything!!! This is a Ninjago revolution!

But if I have to mention a little complain, and I'm a fangirl so I absolutely have to, Kai didn't show much of a reaction to Nya's "departure". Okay, she didn't straight up die like in Skybound (I'm gonna fear all BOUND seasons from now on 😱), but he's her brother and he loves deeply his family. Either we're gonna see him go all out next season, or the writers really did only focus on Jaya. A tiny bit salty... but you got me a fantastic finale so I'll move on 👍

Outstanding, I'm blown away. Whenever I think I'm used to this show they do stuff like this. I'm so glad and sad you guys 😅 But mostly happy that despite everything I still get very strong emotions while I watch this long time favorite show of mine 💜💜💜

What else can I say at this point? ONTO NEXT SEASON!!! 🤩🤩🤩

For this one I already saw the Nya's knight suit already... and she was gorgeous... I mean she always is but COME ON 💙💙💙

These munce are too much 😂 They are kind of adorable in their stupidity really

Jay going full "we're never going to get out Imma get overly pessimistic because YES" is always a familiar sight, almost as him spazzing out during a difficult situation... that could still happen 🤷‍♀️

Good thing Nya gets the brain cell most of the time 👌

Of course while I'm waiting for the third part of Tales of Arcadia, something so similar to the Trollmarket comes my way 😂 Very nice thought, a bit dark. I hope it doesn't get in the way of seeing the good fighting scenes

There's a customer for all that vengestone? That... actually makes a lot of sense. Anyone who is against the ninja would want it really, and that only considering past villains. And if we think about possible elemental masters coming back, uuuhhh, I like where this is going!!

MY THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 97!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!

... wow. Just wow, I'm processing everything that happened and I gotta say, this episode was incredible 🤩

Let's see if I can put everything

First of all, thankfully, the oni talked in a way I managed to understand 😅 Also somehow Garmy saying "It's complicate" makes me think of how much it really is... "You know, I was meant to be an evil lord, but I met this woman who is now weirdly into my brother, had a son that defeated me, saved me, banished me, kinda killed me and defeated me again..."

I remember when "Lloyd" Garmadon was just a pun of Lord, look at us now 😂 Sometimes I need a reminder of how unusual is the Garmadon family

OKAY BUT THE THROWBACKS?? AWESOME?

WE HAVEN'T SEEN THAT ARMOR SINCE THE BEGINNING SEASON 4!!! And the Sword of Santuary, I love that thing, in my group of RP I have something similar, very useful 👌

Can I say that Lloyd being so clumsy kinda weirded me out? But I guess in complete darkness with beings made to kill and your evil dad as the only companion... yeah, now I kinda understand better 💚

The NTV tower, does anyone remember it? Like, I rewatched "The Day Ninjago Stood Still" just the other day, so glad we see buildings that comes from other seasons!!

... THE FEELS

First of all, Ninjago crew, Jay and Michael, you are cruel. You can't use a tone so similar to the soundtrack Cole whistled before, it's like with Zane death's one... I still feel my heart aching every time I hear it and that moment broke me 😭😭

Jay's scream is 😢 The way he holds onto the ladder, that face, that is the expression of someone that just lost his best friend I have so many bruise vibes right now not sorry

To be honest it kinda pissed me off at first that Cole's fall happened because of a simple mistake, but then I got to think that Nya is "perfect". Or at least she tries to be. And it is well shown how much it hurt her, and how she blames herself. They didn't lose Cole because of an epic battle, they did because of something she could've avoided. That thought might torture forever

And finally... THIS

If you know me, you know I love Kai. In all of this flaws and qualities. And this scene, man, it's so amazing for him. Of course he immediately tries to go back, showing his temper and determination. Then comes the realization, hard and painful. And then he just let go, heartbroken, because we all know how much Kai suffers every time his family is hurt... or worse.

Also Zane being the one that console him makes me remember of Skybound, when Nya died and Frosty put a hand on Kai's back (THAT SCENE OMG)

I really, REALLY loved that moment. And choosing not to have voice gave it a nice vibe, like something extremely personal

Well, back in track 😅 It hit me here that we weren't even at half of the episode

I like the darkness thing, but it feels like the battle scenes are clearer in other situations. Also Garmy protecting his son, I'm not hoping, you're hoping 😟

Happy to see Kai helping Lloyd directly, they are still my BrOTP ❤💚❤💚 Also Pixane being the purest thing as always 😍😍😍

And wow. WOW. Besides Mark Oliver that is a blessing in every single line, Sam Vincent is KILLING his role!! The emotions are so well delivered, and he is able to show how much Lloyd cares, like he is actually the one that went through all those seasons with his friends

THAT LINE

During this season I often thought about what exactly prevent Lloyd to become evil, to be like his dad and follow his ways of letting go his emotions and affections. This is the reason.

Garmadon survives. Lloyd lives.

... I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH 😍😍😍

Also Garmy going for Zane as the rational one, I felt how heavy it was, especially after reading @thewingedguardianalanshee 's post it. Coming to realize how much the others suffered when he was gone, and also seeing the golden armor... MAN. Needed a reminder that Zane had a crazy ride as well back in the days. You go Mr. Roboto 👍

Okay, Garmy looking at the photos, trying to smile, hearing voices, I felt my heart aching for real 😭 I love that they actually use pieces from episodes of the old design, it gives so much more continuity

That moment with Vinnie though 😂 I'd say it felt a little clumsy, but at the same time they did good, choosing someone outside the situation to give Garmy a new point of view

Okay unless something incredible happens on episode 98, I stan that this is officially my favorite episode of the season 👊👊

Like, I'll be honest, I half expected a moment between Jay and Nya, him conforting her and getting her to know how much he loves her. Which I would've liked it, don't get me wrong, but it would've been predictable

What we got instead?

SMITH SIBLINGS MOMENT!!! MAN I MISSED THIS SO MUCH!!! ❤💙❤💙❤💙

I'm a huge fan of Nya's silver suits, I love the fact that she has her own color, so I was a little upset when it got back to blue and maroon (just a little, she looks gorgeaus no matter what). But seeing this I'm happy, it's similar to Kai's and for this scene it's a nice choice

So, Kai is a disaster 😂 Like we don't know that

But he always does his best, especially when it involves his lil sis. I loved how supportive he was, telling her how much she's important for this team (100% true) and how Cole would want them to go on

And just when I thought "They gave me so much of my two passions, references of past seasons and KAI. I'm satisfied." They said it. Finally they did.

... THE GOLDEN WEAPONS THE GOLDEN WEAPONS THE GOLDEN WEAPONS THE GOLDEN WEA-

Finally blacksmith Kai is back 😎 It's something I really wanted to see for a long time, always silently wondering "Did Kai make that? Does Kai know how to make that?". And now, NOW IT'S A REALITY!!!!!! 😍😍😍

YOU GO MY FLAME BABE, I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! JUST TRY NOT TO MAKE A SPRING OUT OF A SWORD LIKE IN THE PILOTS AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Me: "Wow, what a ride! I gotta say I'm really intrigued, I wonder how they're gonna end all of this and how the Golden Weapons will..."

The episode:

Me: "NOTHING MATTERS BUT BABY BOY ALONE IN THE COLD DARKNESS, HE'S FREAKING ALIVE!!! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

So, I definitely saw this coming, no way they were gonna kill a main character like that 😆 But him being okay like that... Lloyd struggled to breath there, and survived because of his oni side. Well Pix did to but because she's a droid... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK

What scares me the most is the fact that Cole does the intro this season, just like Wu, Lloyd and Garmy... all of them had such a hard time 😓

Phew, I made it! I did not expect to come out alive from this episode 😁 Really well done, I can see that they are still connected with the seasons before, which is great for me. Us fans recognize everything!!!

Can't wait to see mah flame being all blacksmithy! ❤ Is it too much to ask having Ray and Maya around, since they are professional blacksmiths? Let me dream Lego, sooner or later I'll need to know what happened to them 😚
