I don't like the ending bc it was rushed a hard to write
Tumblr media
"And now I'm the one who's in trouble! Me? Because that fucking dipshit and his stupid ass friend bumped into me!"
You hummed in response so that he knew that you were still listening to him as you were looking for your dark blue lighter.
You were listening to Vance rant, having just learned that he was now banned from the Grab-And-Go for a week for starting a fight all because some boy's bumped into the pinball game he was obsessed with.
"It's fucking stupid and I should've kept pounding his head into the floor until he passed out."
You had found your lighter and grabbed a lavender scented incense, lighting it and letting the flame burn before you blew at it and put it in the incense holder.
"It was an accident, Vance. You should've handled it more responsibly and walked away from the situation."
He had furrowed his brows, he knew that you were right but he was still too stubborn to admit it at the moment so he rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. The fuckers should've watched where they were going." He said, crossing his arms over his chest.
You nodded "Yes, they should have. I'm sorry you got kicked out, Vance. I'll make sure no one beats your high score."
Although Vance was in the wrong for him beating the boys up over a something like that you didn't want him to feel like the way he felt about the situation was invalid or him overreacting.
You walked over to your record player, going through a few of your discs to find something to play so that he at least wouldn't be in such a bitter mood.
You smiled softly as you pulled out one of the discs and put it into the record player, placing the stylus on it as it had started playing 'Dancing Queen' by Abba and you turned your head to smile at Vance.
"C'mon..I know you want to." You said, walking towards him and chuckling softly as you grabbed his hand and tried to pull him up from his spot on the bed.
"I don't fuckin dance... especially not to Abba." He said and you knew for a fact that he was lying because the last time you borrowed his mixtape player it was one of the first songs that played.
"Dancing is a good way to free your body from negative energy. Something you seem to have a lot of." You had said as you swayed to the music, the sound of the multiple bracelets you wore shaking together.
Vance narrowed his eyes up at you "That's bullshit."
"Is not! Works for me whenever I'm angry."
He furrowed his brows "I've never seen you angry before though."
"That's because I don't show it. I don't let my emotions control my actions or mouth. I find better ways to release my anger."
Vance had thought about that sentence for a while. He wondered what you were like if you were to finally snap like how he does, furrowed brows and shouting profanities like a sailor.
"Dance with me, Vance! C'mon!!"
He groaned as he rolled his eyes and stood up from his spot on your bed and stiffly moved to the song like he was a robot and you couldn't help but laugh.
"What's so funny?!"
"You dance like we're at our first dance together and the slow song just came on!" You had giggled. "Loosen up!"
Vance had glared playfully at you. "I thought this was a judge free zone?"
"Oh it is...just not for stiff dancers."
The boy had chuckled at this, a genuine one that showed his teeth and he couldn't even be mad about the situation that happened earlier.
It was always like this when he would go to you to rant for a bit, you would talk to him and make him feel like his feelings were completely valid, you reassured him every single time but scolded him rightfully.
You were the comfort he longed for constantly. That missing peace in his life. You felt like what home should've felt like for him.
You were sweet and caring. Not once could he think of a time where you yelled at him even if he was screaming his lungs out at you. You were understanding and he loved that, he love that you knew his better than he knew himself.
Vance loved you.
"Hey, Vance!"
He snapped from his thoughts as he looked over to you who was back at the record player, going through your discs once more. He was sure you had every song under the sun with the stack you had.
"Any song requests?"
"Hotel California."
"Gotcha!"
When you heard your door swim open an slam shut you hadn't even questioned it at this point, already knowing who the culprit was.
You turned your attention away from the painting you were working on as you turned to look at Vance who looked like he was already angry if you couldn't tell by the door slam.
"What's the matter now?"
"Nothing. What're you doing?"
You had knew that he was lying but you would take care of what was bothering him when he wanted to talk about it so you gestured to the canvas.
"I'm painting. The sky's really pretty right now so I'm trying to capture it while I can." You had told him and he had rolled his eyes.
"You should try it. Painting can help let off steam." You said, dipping your brush back into the light pink paint.
You always tried to get Vance to paint or draw with you, telling him it was a good way to express his anger without yelling or breaking something but art just wasn't his forte.
"i don't paint. It's hard to work with and I'm not good at it." Vance had complained as he crossed his arms, standing beside you while staring at your painting.
"Oh c'mon, the last time you painted with me was a finger painting."
"I don't care."
You shrugged as you turned back to the canvas, glancing back at the sky before you went back and had glided your brush against the canvas, letting the music playing fill in the silence.
Vance shifted in the spot next to you, eyes glancing from the painting before back to the sky which was a mixture of soft purple, blues and pinks with the sun peaking from them.
He looked back to you as you were back into focus mode. Your eyebrows knitting together whenever you were like this and he couldn't help but smile a bit at the expression.
"Starings rude, y'know."
His face immediately shifted and he had scoffed "I wasn't staring, asshole! I was looking at the painting!"
"Mhm..you sure you don't wanna give painting another go? You don't even have to paint the sky you can paint your emotions and-"
Vance swiftly cut you off "Just give me a canvas and brush before you start with your hippie emotion bullshit."
You had giggled softly as you went to grab another canvas and easel, setting them beside your own as you gave Vance an empty pallette and set the paints between the two of you.
He picked up the blue paint and looked back over at you who seemed to be caught up in finishing up your painting and he had smirked.
He had opened it as turned his body a bit as he squirted it onto the palm of his hands, rubbing them together and pressing them against the canvas.
He watched as you turned to him with a smile before your smile had dropped. "Vance, really?! C'mon! I thought you were behind finger and hand painting! You're gonna make a mess!"
He had smirked, reaching out to touch you as you had backed away. "Vance Hopper! Don't!"
"Don't what? Do this?"
He had grabbed you arm to pull you towards him as he pressed his palm against your cheek now leaving a blue handprint there as he pulled away laughing.
"Asshole!" You had playfully shouted as you grabbed the pink paint and rubbed it across your palms, now pressing your hands against his face and he had laughed loudly as he pressed his hands back against yours.
You both pulled away to reach for more paint, a childish game now being played between the two of you as you were grabbing different colors.
Red, blue, pink, purple and yellow handprints were plastered all over your faces, arms and even shirts. Neither of you were mad at the mess though now on the floor and laughing at how idiotic the two of you looked.
"You're an idiot, Vance! I'm gonna have to take like four showers!"
"Oh stop complaing! You literally fought back."
You giggled as you looked at the red paint on your finger and rolled closer to Vance as you lazily drew a heart on the back of his hand.
Vance stared at the red heart with wide eyes before he looked back at you who had that same bright smile on your face that made his heart skip a beat.
"See, you could've just drew that on me but you wanted to be a childish asshole." You hummed, pressing red paint again this nose and Vance stared at you.
Yeah.
Vance had already fallen in love but he was falling harder.
The next time Vance had came over he had noticed that you had the music playing again but he could also make out the sound of another person.
The two you seemed to be laughing together, the sound overbearing the song that was playing at the moment and he furrowed his brows.
He stomped up in the stairs and made a B-line for your room, gripping onto the doorknob, twisting it and pushing the door so roughly that it slammed against the wall when he entered the room.
His eyes glanced from you who was staring at him with wide eyes gore he glanced over the person you had been laughing with.
Bruce Yamada. somebody he wasn't too fond of just because he was everything Vance wasn't. Popular (for the right reasons), kind and caring, not a bad bone in his body. Everyone either wanted to be him or be with him.
He noticed that you were holding his hand with a bottle of blue nail polish in your other hand as the two of you were staring at him with wide and confused expressions.
"Vance. Stop entering my mom trying to catch me doing drugs."
"The hell is he doing here?" He completely disregarded your statement, glaring at Bruce and oh if looks could kill the Yamada's would be having a funeral.
Bruce had only smiled that award winning smile at Vance though "We're painting nails! You-"
He had cut him off swiftly, venom dripping from his tone as he spoke "I wasn't talking to you, asshole."
You had frowned as you looked up at blonde, placing the nail polish back in the tube. "Vance you shouldn't talk to him like that. He hasn't done anything to you."
You were right, Bruce was innocent and all he did was answer his question but Vance was acting on his emotions right now which were pure jealousy and fury.
"And? I wasn't fuckin' talking to him so why did he even reply?" Vance spat and Bruce awkwardly sat there.
You had narrowed your eyes slightly at Vance before inhaling and exhaling softly, looking back to Bruce with a small smile.
"Bruce, I'm sorry to cut this short but can we continue another time? I think me and Vance need to have a talk."
"Yeah..of course. Sorry for..uhm.."
"No, don't apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. You told him, glancing back to Vance back to him.
"Get home safe, mkay?" You commented and he had smiled and nodded at this. "I'll call you when I get home. Thanks for having me." He had waved you goodbye, slipping past Bruce and out the door.
Once you heard the door from downstairs close you had gathered up the nail polish and put them back into your box.
You turned to turn off the record player and looked back at Vance who was giving a distasteful look to the wall.
"Wanna tell me what that was about?"
He hadn't answered, keeping his eyes away from yours and after a short while he had just shrugged.
"Don't just shrug at me." With the way you were talking with him he was sure you were irritated and it only upset him more when he realized he ruined your mood.
"That was completely uncalled for." You stated, gesturing to Vance who looked like a child being chided for the first time.
He shrugged again, his words being stuck in that lump in his throat and he watched as you crossed your arms, shaking your head like a disappointed parent.
"I don't know what made you so upset before you came here but it gave you no right to call Bruce names and get angry with him."
Vance knew this, he knew he was in the wrong all the way this time but he couldn't help it, always thinking with his mouth and fists and never that head of his.
He huffed "Yeah? Well, he shouldn't even fucking being over here....with you...alone."
You raised your brows, holding back the urge to scoff "So you're the only one who gets to be alone in my room with me?"
"No! I...I'm not saying that but-"
"Then what are you saying, Vance?"
And there it was, that word vomit that he had been trying so hard to hold back.
"I'm saying that I love you, okay?! I fucking love you and every time I'm around you I just fall harder for you!" He shouted, voice cracking like he was on the verge of tears.
"So yes when I saw you alone, painting nails and giggling with Bruce 'Hearthrob' Yamada I was a little pissed off!"
It was silent after that.
Not even any music playing in the background to fill it up, just complete silence and the heavy pants of Vance.
It was probably four minutes of silence before you had spoke up.
"So you mean to tell me..you were rude to Bruce because you were jealous?"
Vance had gave a small nod, biting on the inside of his cheek.
You had let out a huff, chuckling a bit "Vance...that had got to be the most idiotic thing you've ever done. I don't even like Bruce like that, we're like siblings ."
"Oh.." Vance mumbled, now more embarrassed than before. He would definitely owe the boy an apology at school tomorrow.
"And plus, I'm not really into baseball players, I like people who play pinball."
His eyes widened slightly as he pointed to himself "You're... You're talking about me, right?"
"No Vance, I'm obviously talking about Moose. Yes, you."
"Why me?"
You tilted your head in confusion "What do you mean?"
"I mean, why me? I'm not definitely not a dreamboat like Bruce or-"
He was cut off by your lips on his, that vanilla flavored ChapStick you always wore now glossing over his lips and he stared at you like a deer in headlights when you pulled away.
You tilted your head and shrugged "I don't want dreamboat Bruce or any other person you're about to name."
You grabbed his hand and held him softly while grinning up at him "I want been my best friend for years troublemaker Vance."
It was quiet for a bit and Vance rubbed his thumb over the palm of your hand after you made it pretty clear that you weren't letting his hand go.
"You sure?"
You placed another kiss on his cheek, pretending to think for a moment before nodding.
"Positive. Couldn't see myself with anyone else."
He had smiled and brought you close to wrap his arms around you and decided that walking over to the bed would just be too much and he slid down the wall onto the floor with you.
With you laying on his chest and playing with his curls that definitely needed a good wash or brush he had heard you mumble;
"Well...maybe Keanu Reeves..."
"[Y/n]."
"Joking! Joking! You gotta admit he's pretty though"
He gestured to himself "Am I not?"
"Oh you are! Prettiest boy in Denver. But have you seen Keanu Reeves?"
Sure he had competition with Keanu Reeves but at least he knew that he outranked everyone in Denver.

Tumblr media
• A Finney Blake x F! Reader.
🌷Luna's Note: Request are open! I do Characters like Donna and Matty. (and the cast)
! Warnings !: Reader is dead, Can be seen platonic or romantic. Reader is the first victim. Gore. Mentions of R∆pe. Angst.
You thought you were the first victim because you were a sad lonely little girl. But when you watch over all the other little boy's you saw The Grabber. You saw he only took little boy's. You soon found out the grabber only killed you to figure out his sexuality. He only TOOK you to figure out his sexuality. He only SA'D you to figure out his sexuality. So when you saw Finney stuck down in that hell hole of a basement. You were Furious. You tried to run at him a few times but you went through him. You screamed in anger as he yelled, touched or even looked at Finney so when it was your time to call him you made the most of your time.
*RING RING* Finney steps back then he heard the phone ring. But then he sprung up when he saw a faint voice in the distance. "Hello? Who are you!?" Finney says shouting down the line. "Hey Finn, It's Y/N/N." You say sitting up on the vent. "Y/N is that r-really you? But your dead right?" He says hoping that you survived "Yes Finney I am dead but you have to get out for Me! For Robin, For Gwen and for Donna." You say "Where are you?" Finney Says looking around"I'm here."
End of pt 1
JKKKKKK
Finney looked around to see you standing in a grey dress that used to have it's natural form of pink he also saw your heel's had turned grey and finally he looked at your leg and chest. A gigantic cut had nearly covered the whole left side of your left leg. And cut on your chest causing you to bleed out and die. Finney screamed covering his mouth. "D-do I look that bad?" "N-n-no but you are dead." Finney Says.
"Anyway, Griffin stagg will call you next, He'll tell you the code to the main door. When you get to the kitchen try and crack Griffin's bike code I'm going to give you the combination which you must remember, Do you understand?" You say leaning against the door. "Yes, I understand." Finney whispered.
"When Griffin call it signals that the Grabber is asleep, He will purposely keep the door unlocked, but being the lazy hoe-bag slut-faced cunt he is he will doze off. Which gives you the time to get the bike and RUN. Alright the bike code is 2-5-1-9-2. Got it carve it somewhere like the bathroom or close to the mattress with your rocket thing!" You look at Finney and Whisper. "End the cycle Finney." Before you disappeared. You hug him strongly just enough for him to feel.
"I will Y/N just for you."

just this once, okay? | bruce yamada x fem!reader
part one part two part three part four part five part six part seven part eight part nine PART TEN
y'all im so sorry i disappeared with no warning but i've been like a disgusting amount of sick this past week, but i'm back and finally publishing the last chapter of this series YAY okay bye
there's also a clara reid playlist now because i love her sm, you should go check it out OKAY BYE.
taglist: @bettyssneaker @ellemfaoh @finneysbaseball @urfavkorean @retirement-home @sweetrabbit @inumakihearts @zekegorilla @godscnt
when a crushing and helpless bruce yamada seeks aid from an unaware and breezy y/n, he suggests they fake date in order to make his crush jealous. what could go wrong? they were friendly, and y/n was beautiful. bruce’s plan is fool proof. at least that’s what he thinks.
a/n: for the sake of the story, everyone is the same age (16-17) and in junior year of high school, except gwen, who is a freshman. and the grabber doesn't exist because i said so.
"um, can we talk?"
you stood there, mouth opening and closing multiple times. about a million thoughts ran through your head, each making you more nervous. your mouth felt dry, your hands felt clammy, and your cheeks were burning.
"y/n?" bruce's soft voice called, snapping you out of your trance. "you okay?"
"yeah, yeah, i'm okay, i just, um," you stumbled, raising your embarrassment level from one to ten, "yeah, let's talk."
bruce let out a sigh of relief, swaying side to side as he waited for you to step out. "wanna go to the library? or we can go to the old playground, if you want."
you two decided on the playground, seeing as the weather was perfect for it. your hair billowed with the wind, and bruce tried not to stare at your rosy cheeks.
you sat down on one of the rusty swings, kicking a few rocks as you did so. bruce took a seat on the one next to yours, watching as the birds flew around, their wings spread out beautifully.
it was a bit odd, sitting there with bruce, neither of you saying a single word, but also rather comforting. it had been a while since the two of you were in one another's company like this, and you had to admit that you missed it.
"so, i talked to clara." bruce spoke up, looking over at you.
your heart sped up, and you found yourself praying for the worst. "oh, you did? what did she say?"
bruce fixed his posture, straightening up. "well, she didn't have a crush on me."
"she didn't?" your face scrunched in confusion. "but then, who did she have a crush on— oh." bruce snickered at this, covering his mouth with his hand. "me? clara liked me?"
"yes, she did." bruce smiled comfortingly.
"me? really?" you grinned lightly, making bruce a little nervous.
"oh, do you like girls too?" he asked. "because if you do, that's totally okay, and i won't tell anyone if you don't want me to."
"no, bruce, it's okay, i don't— well, it's not that." you interrupted, placing your hand on his forearm. "i actually have to talk to you about something."
"wait, let me go first." bruce cut in urgently. "i've wanted to tell you this for a while now, actually, but i always stopped myself because i was too scared, but y'know, i'm not scared anymore, so, yeah!"
you blinked multiple times, hoping he could see that you were beyond confused.
"right, sorry." he said, running his hand across his face in exasperation. "okay. here goes, y/n." you placed your chin in your hand, letting bruce know that you were intrigued. "i like you. like, really, like you, like, it's almost embarrassing how much i like you, and it really killed me when you ended the plan and left, because i was gonna tell you right then and there, but, yeah."
your jaw dropped, and you were frozen in your seat. your mouth couldn't form any sort of sounds, even though all you wanted to do in that moment was throw your arms around him and tell him the feeling is mutual.
in reaction to your silence— and expression— bruce's shoulders fell, and he began to stand up. "but i totally understand that you don't feel the same way, and that's okay, we can stay friends—"
"what? i don't want to be friends!" you exclaimed, kicking another rock.
bruce stood up, beginning to walk away. "well, that's real nice. you could've just said 'no thanks' or something."
"no!" you said, grabbing his hand quickly. "what i mean is, i like you too. the feeling is mutual, or whatever— look, the point is, i really like you, bruce. in the most embarrassing way possible, i like you. so, no, i don't want to be 'just friends' anymore."
bruce grinned, taking a step towards you. "you mean it? you're not just saying this out of pity, are you?"
"bruce!" you chuckled, slapping his arm gently.
his smile widened, and he picked you up in his arms tightly, spinning you around happily. "after we started the whole fake-dating plan it was like i never even liked clara. i like you. like, really like you."
"well, why didn't you just tell me that?" you said.
"i didn't want to ruin this. i really love hanging out with you, and i didn't want to lose you." bruce smiled sheepishly.
"aw, that's so corny." you teased.
"yeah, i guess you're right." bruce shrugged. "well, do you wanna be my girlfriend? for real this time?"
"well, duh!" you grinned, wrapping your arms around him. "vance is gonna be thrilled to hear this, y'know?"
"was that sarcastic or serious?" bruce asked— genuinely curious.
"serious, for the most part." you said. "he's been listening to me talk about this for a while now, so, i might owe him a couple of pinball games and slushies."
"sucks to be you, then." bruce teased, earning an elbow to the rib from you. "fine, i'll help out." he placed his hands on your shoulders, turning you slightly to face him. "can i kiss you for real this time?"
you nodded, eyes fluttering closed as bruce leaned in slowly. somehow, it felt both the same and different than the kiss you shared at donna's birthday party. your lips moved in sync with his, sending a wave of electricity down your spine.
the two of you pulled apart shortly after, resting your foreheads together. bruce was as giddy as a little kid on christmas, and you were beyond happy. everything was perfect, and now all you had left to do was explain everything to your families.
Tumblr media
your parents were beyond confused as you and bruce explained everything. wyatt and allie couldn't have cared less about the explanation, but allie was thrilled to have her puzzle buddy back.
mr. and mrs. yamada's expressions were blank when you and bruce sat down and talked to them. amy was chewing gum with the most judgmental look on her face. nonetheless, they all understood.
you took the liberty of explaining to vance, finney, and robin, who all cheered for you supportively. finney and robin did a happy dance while vance brought you in for a hug— something almost as rare as a shooting star.
going back to school on monday was somewhat exciting for you and bruce. over the weekend, word had spread that the two of you had gotten back together. (you all figured it would be best not to explain the fake-dating situation to anyone else.)
you walked in with griffin— who made it a habit in his year of sixth grade to walk along with you to stay close. once he walked off with his friends, you made your way to your locker, where bruce was waiting.
"hey, you!" he called, grinning widely. one of his hands held the chunky english textbook, and the other was held out for you to hold, which you did, of course.
"you're awfully giddy today." you pointed out, making his smile grow even more.
"it's not fake anymore, y/n/n." he whispered, leaning closer to you. "this isn't fake anymore, of course i'm giddy."
the rest of the day went by exactly like this, with you and bruce by one another's side whenever possible, and vance rolling his eyes at every cute thing you did.
during lunch, you spotted donna and clara eating together at the old picnic tables. you noticed the hand-holding, but chose not to say anything as it would be rude.
when you caught donna's eye, she grinned widely, all but confirming your suspicion. you were happy that donna and clara were together, they both deserved to be happy.
later that day, you went over to donna's house, where she spilled the beans about her and clara. "yes, we're dating, but we don't want to tell anyone yet! you know how rude people can be, and besides, we've only been dating for a couple of days, it's still new." she gushed, her cheeks a tinge of pink.
lucas wouldn't stop teasing bruce all day, saying 'i told you so' every five seconds. at one point, vance told him to 'shut up about it, already,' which ended the playful banter.
"hey, y/n," bruce turned to you in physics class, "will you give me the answer to number nine? please?"
you raised an eyebrow at him, only receiving pleading eyes in return. "fine, but, just this once, okay?"

We don't see much of Donna (since the story primarily takes place in the Grabber’s basement) but do you have any headcanons for her?
YES I DO
She’s definitely a converse girlie. She’s got every colour possible and she likes to mix and match them sometimes (Her fav is her red converse tho)
She’s kind of a Crystal girl. She definitely carries black obsidian with her everywhere she goes
Her fav subject is English. She likes writing and putting words onto paper is easier than saying them aloud
She presses flowers and keeps them all in a notebook
I just know she likes astrology. Her and Finney info dump abt Astronomy and astrology to each other
She likes bugs. Not enough to have them as pets but enough to help them out instead of killing them when she finds them in her house. Sometimes she even leaves them there to do their own thing
Girlie has anxiety
She plays acoustic guitar. She finds it comforting
Her and Gwen talk shit about the boys together
She likes Fleetwood mac
I kinda wish we saw more of Donna she was so sweet

I like to think that by touching the phone, the ghost boys lost their chance at eternal rest, so they were left wandering the earth. So Robin stays by Finney's side just like he told him on the last call.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Pairing: Finney Blake x Robin Arellano
Date Published: 8/26/22
Word Count: 2,784
Description: Robin knew he never stood a chance against Donna.
(Based of the song 'Heather' by Conan Gray)
(I'm also aging them up to like, 15-16 in this.)
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
I still remember the third of December, me in your sweater.
The chatter of Vance talking about his latest fight seemed to fade out of Robin's perspective as he skimmed the cafeteria. He was looking for Finney again. He had promised he would sit with him today. It was been a solid 15 minuets since lunch started, but he was nowhere to be found. That was until he saw Donna walk in through the doors, Finney trailing beside her. Vance's chatter faded fully, as did everything else in Robin's perspective.
He saw Donna wearing Finney's 'NASA' sweater.
You said it looked better on me than it did you.
An all too familiar feeling of Betrayal hit Robin like a brick. He sighed, figuring out where Finney had been for the past half hour. Probably with Donna. Under the bleachers. Again. Finney never took Robin there anymore. Not after Donna came into the picture. Now it was all her. Everything Finney did was with her. And not him. It wasn't fair. Finney just replaced him like it was nothing! Did all those sleepovers not mean anything to him? Robin defending him from Moose and Matty? Did the kiss-
"Hey, Robin!"
Robin looked up from his sandwich and at Vance as he kicked his shoe beneath the table. Vance motioned to his left side. There Finney stood! But with Donna. "Hey Robin." Finney smiled at him as he took a seat next to Vance. "How's it going?" Donna asked. Robin didn't reply to either of them. He just looked back to his half eaten sandwich. He often found it hard to look either of them in the eyes.
Only if you knew how much I liked you.
The conversation picked up again, but without Robin. He didn't feel like putting into the effort with it anymore. Anytime Donna was around, everyone's attention focused on her. 'Everyone', meaning Finney's. It still didn't make a difference though. Not to Finney either.
But I watch your eyes as she walks by.
Robin would occasionally look up to steal small glances at Finney. But, he never seemed to look back. He was purely infatuated with her. The way Finney looked at her like she hung the stars herself. He used to look at Robin that way. "Robin, you okay?"
What a sight for sore eyes. Brighter than the blue sky.
He looked up again to see Donna staring at him with one eyebrow risen. "I think she meant to ask if your sandwich is okay-" Bruce mumbled, pointing to the mess in his hands. The sandwich was squished flatly, the insides pouring out. Mumbling something under his breath, he stood up and grabbed his water bottle. But not before looking at Finney again.
He doesn't know why he expected him to be looking back anyways.
She's got you mesmerized while I die.

"Robin, that's not the right order. It goes: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars. Earth is before Mars. Not after." Finney laughed, looking down at Robin's notes. Robin didn't care about the order of the planets. In fact, he already knew them. He just wanted an excuse to be around Finney again.
They had originally planned to just study for a few hours at Robin's house. It turned into the pair going to the drive in, then going to Robin's house. It had gotten pretty late, so Robin offered to let him stay the night.
After a long-ish phone call with his dad, Finney excitedly told Robin he could.
The two of them were now sitting on Robin's bed, going over their Astronomy class notes. It was more or less Finney asking explaining things Robin didn't know, then proceeding to ask him if he understood what he was saying. He always answered 'yes', but he didn't have a clue.
Robin could only stare at the brunette as he made excessive hand motions as he talked. He thought it was cute. The way Finney got so excited when he spoke about space. His little hand movements, mapping out the constellations he knew (even if they weren't outside). He found any and everything about Finney amazing.
"Robin!" A small 'Huh?" left Robin's lips before he felt his hair lift up. Finney scooted further onto his bed, Robin's blue bandana in hand. "Finn, what was that for?" Finney smiled at him. "You aren't paying attention to anything I say. So you can have it back when you-" Robin turned his body, reaching for his bandanna. Finney knew he would, so he quickly moved and switched hands. "I'll start paying attention, I swear!" Finney shook his head. A smile crept onto Robin's face as he Got onto his mattress fully. Before Finney could say anything, Robin lunged at him.
"Give it back!"
"No way!"
The two played a game of cat and mouse for a few moments as they wrestled. It consisted of Robin trying to grab his item, and Finney rolling over and laughing at him. Robin eventually succeeded and had Finney's Wrists in his hands. They were both out of breath and laughing. Although the laughing stopped when Finney opened his eyes.
He looked at Robin above him. He couldn't have been more than 6 inches from his face, his breath colliding with his own. The two held eye contact for what seemed like an eternity. Had Robin always been this pretty? Especially without the bandana, as it showed his face in greater detail. "I won Finn. Now, give me my-" Robin was cut off when Finney pressed his lips against his.
Why would you ever kiss me?
Robin felt beyond shocked. I mean sure, he'd thought about kissing Finney before. But he never expected it to actually happen. And if it did, he would be the one initiating it. He couldn't complain though. His shock was cut short though when Finn removed his mouth. He looked back down at him and paused. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I didn't even know if-"
Now it was Robin's turn to cut him off. He gave Him a quick peck again and smiled at him, Finney returning it with a bigger one almost instantly. He ran his hand through Robin's hair, tucking a piece behind his ear.
"Y'know, you're even prettier without your bandana on."
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
I'm not even half as pretty.
Robin had stormed out of the cafeteria. Well, no. Not stormed out. More like an over-exaggerated exit. It didn't help he missed the trash can when he tried to throw his water away.
He walked out, not planning where he was going. He just knew he needed to be somewhere where Finney wasn't. Everything seemed to spark all the memories he had of him. The way Finney didn't tutor him anymore because he was out at the diner with Donna. Or how they weren't lab partners anymore. But the worst of it was her in his sweater.
You gave her your sweater, it's just polyester.
It could've been Robin wearing it, but nooooo. He just had to forget it at Finney's house. Hell, it was Robin's sweater now! Finney had given it to him before he left his house the morning after their last sleepover. But that was a while ago. They hadn't had one in so long. Why? Because he was so busy with Donna.
But you like her better.
Donna. Donna. Donna.
Wish I were-
God, Robin despised her. Everything about her. How she was so smart. She always got A's and never needed tutoring like him. She got to hold hand's with Finney. She could display her admiration for him without getting hate-crimed.
Watch as she stands with her, holding your hand.
How the two of them were the ones at the drive in. Sitting in the bed of her dad's truck, a mountain of pillows and blankets piled up. Finney was the one protecting her From the jump scares in movies. Since when did he even go see horror movies?!
Put your arm 'round her shoulder, now I'm getting colder.
If robin hadn't gotten into so many fights, she wouldn't have even come into the picture! She was a goody- two-shoes who wouldn't hurt a fly. Robin drifted away because he was defending Finney! From all the bullies and assholes. He was getting beat up for him. To make sure he didn't have to endure anymore suffering. But now it was Robin who was suffering.
But how could I hate her? She's such an angel. But then again, kinda wish she were dead as she-
But Robin didn't despise her. No, he could never. He was just jealous. Although, there's no way he could ever admit that to anyone. He was jealous because Finney chose her. He envied how he wasn't embarrassed to be seen with her. She wasn't a delinquent like him. But that wasn't relevant. It was relevant because they wouldn't get weird stares from people. Mainly because she was a girl and Finney a guy. But when 2 guys walked hand in hand?
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Robin tried to get away from Finney. Physically that is. But he couldn't mentally. Out of a routine, he ended up walking behind the bleachers. The same spot he had met Finney at for the first time. Old habits die hard.
He'd lost track of time after the football team finished up their practice. All he knew was that he missed periods 5-8. Detention didn't matter right now. All that did was that he could clear his mind. It seemed to work for a bit until he heard footsteps round the corner near him. "Hey Robin. What's happening?"
Robin turned to see Finney standing between a pole and the fence, a few feet away from him. He was quick to stand up and begin to walk away. Robin didn't like confrontation, if that wasn't already obvious. He heard Finney calling out to him, but that only made him walk quicker. He eventually stopped when he felt a hand wrap around his wrist.
Finney turned his shoulders and let go of his wrist. "Robin, please. Can we just talk?" It took every bone in Robin's body to say no. The urge to treat Finney how he did him was overwhelming. But he couldn't. Not with the way Finney looked so upset. The small frown on his face, and the way his body was slumped. "Yeah, sure." He should've thrown himself against the bleachers for saying yes. Not going back under to talk to Finney.
He sat down on the grass, Finney only mere inches from him. He still couldn't look him in the eyes. "Robin, what's wrong? You've been acting different lately. You're never in Chemistry or Astronomy anymore. You're rarely in the cafeteria. You never call. You're just so distant." He couldn't hold back the scoff that left his lips.
"Me?" He finally looked Finney in the eyes. "Yes..?" Robin shook his head. "You think I'm the one being distant? That's fucking rich, Finney." He chuckled. "If anyone's being 'distant', It's you." He said, pressing his index finger into Finney's chest. "Me?" He sounded offended. "Yes, you. What other friends do I have? Oh wait, none. That is, if you even still consider us friends."
"What'd you mean?? There's Bruce and Billy, who go with you to the movies, Griffin who tutors you, and Vance who sits with you at lunch!" He paused, thinking about Robin's last sentence. "But we are friends. Best friends!" "Would a best friend ditch me for some girl?
Finney stopped avoiding eye contact and looked Robin in the eye. "What?" "What'd you mean: 'What'? Oh, don't act stupid. You of all people shouldn't put on that facade. It doesn't look good on you." Robin glanced down at Finney's left wrist. "Neither does my fucking bandana." Robin spat.
He quickly slipped it off, leaving Finney in shock momentarily. "Is this about Donna? Because I-"
"OF COURSE IT'S ABOUT DONNA!"
Robin shouted, making Finney flinch slightly. By now Robin was standing up again, his hands thrown in the air. "Who else would it be about? Surely not me. Because you seemed to shut me out of you life!" There was a clap of thunder, followed by lighting striking nearby.
She's got you mesmerized while I die.
Finney wasn't able to get a word out before Robin continued.
"Everything's about Donna now! Donna this, Donna that! I can't fucking escape her. She's everywhere I go, or all anyone talks about. Especially you. You're so obsessed with her! You follow her around like you're on some kind of leash. I'm never in class because she took my seat. She took my lab partner." He pointed to Finney. "I never go to the movies because you take her instead of me. You haven't even invited me to one in weeks. I'm never in the cafeteria because you never show up anymore. So why should I bother? You're probably off sucking faces with her. And I don't call because you're never home. Why're you never home? Because you're at Donna's house. I don't bother to call because you never give me a fucking second glance! All you can do is stare at Donna. Why don't you look at me like that anymore, huh?" Finney watched Robin go on and on until he asked the question, his voice cracking. He stood up and took a step closer to him. The rain began to pour heavily on the football field.
"What happened Finn? What happened to us? To what we had? Has everything I've done for you meant nothing? All the times I took punches for you and then beat them senseless? How I would take you home to make sure you weren't too beat up? How I would drive you everywhere? Our tutoring sessions? My bandanas? My sweater? Finney sighed. "Don't tell me this is because you saw her in my-"
"What about this kiss, Finney?"
Silence.
Finney couldn't find the words to say to Robin. All he did was stare at him, until he heard a sniffle. Water droplets stained their clothing. Robin stood looking at the ground, crying. In the Years Finney had known him, he'd never once seen Robin Arellano cry. He walked over to him, taking his hands in his own.
"Why-" Robin hiccuped, gripping Finney's hands. "Why would you ever kiss me? Just to mess with my head? Just to test something out? Use me as a decoy until you could get it right with Donna? Was that it?" Finney bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from crying as well.
I'm not even half as pretty.
"Finney, you gave her the sweater. My sweater. Do you just give it out to everyone you fuck with?" "Robin, it's just polyester." That seemed to made Robin cry even harder. Finney hated this. The way he knew it was all his fault. He knew he broke Robin's heart. Why? Because he didn't want Robin to break his first.
He couldn't find the right words to say to him. He didn't know how he was supposed to react.
Finney took one of his hands and cupped it around Robin's cheek, Robin putting his own over Finney's. Finney knew the consequences that would come from his action, but he didn't care. He kissed Robin again. Only this time, Robin didn't return it. Finney could feel his tears run down his face, mixing with the rain; making his own hand wet.
Robin was the one to pull away now.
He looked at Finney. His eyes watery and red. Squeezing his hand, he gave Finney the now soaking bandana back to him. They stood like that for a moment. Hand in hand in the pouring rain. The same way they met. Everything seemed to freeze for them both. Until Robin broke the silence.
"You like her better, Finn. I just wish I were her."
Those were the last words Robin said before turning on his heels and walking away, leaving Finney in the heinous rain. Robin walked around the corner, towards the park. He hoped no one would notice him crying. Praying to whatever god that people would think it was just the rain.
Finney looked down at the boy's bandana in his hands, gripping it with all his strength. The only strength he didn't have was to follow Robin. He knew he fucked up. He just lost the best relationship he'd ever had. Whether it was platonic or romantic.
Each boy was the love they'd both try over and over again for. Even if it left them both without one another.

Imagine helping Gwen fight Finney's bullies.
Tumblr media
As you and Gwen walk to Susie's house you stop at the sound of grunts and cries. You turn around facing the 5th house on the block. You saw Finney Blake My sister's best-friends, brother. You tap Gwen on the shoulder as she kept talking about her dolls. "Gwenny?" She didn't answer. "Gwen?" You say looking at her with a confused look. "Gwendolyn!" You Shout finally catching her attention. "What?" She said with a confused look.
"We have to get back to your house quickly so I ca-" She was cut of by seeing her brother get beat by Matty, Buzz and Matt. She slowly picks up the nearest and by far the biggest rock as she runs to the porch of the house.
"YOU COCK-SUCKING COWARDS!" She says pushing Matt before hitting Matty in the face causing the side of his head to bleed out.
"Gwenny!" You say shouting just so she could hear. "Look out!" You said as Buzz lunged towards her. She used her elbow to smash his forehead knocking him to the ground. She was standing behind Finney who was curling on the floor face is the grass. You drop you school bag and run over to Finney. "Finney? Can you walk? I'm guessing not.. i-ill try my best to carry you out or well drag you.." You say before putting his arm over your neck just before you could sit him down on the concrete..
WACK
Buzz had managed to pull your hair and slap you with the same rock Gwen was using knocking you to the ground. But you quickly get up Kicking him in the stomach before grabbing his freezy hair making him tumble down to the ground. You saw Finney laying on the concrete calming himself down. You saw Matt (Matt, not Matty) throwing fist's with Gwen so from behind you kicked him in the nuts. He yelp falling to the ground you grab your back-pack and hit him in the face with it making both sides of his nose bleed. "You dumb fucking fart knocker!" You say hitting Matt In the face over and over again. (And yes, Gwen got that from you.) You saw Matty looking down at Matt as he looked just as shocked as him. "You and your ding-bat dick-headed friends can go now Matthew. I've had enough of your antics this week just because Robin beat the shit out of Moose doesn't mean your safe you just got lucky. Now scram." You say stepping on Buzz's fingers. You grab your bag and start to walk towards Finney he had some sort of blush on his face when you kissed his cheek goodbye as you leave Gwen and Finney to walk to Susie's house. You saw Donna waiting for you at your front door you run over to her in a leap of joy. "I saw the whole thing Y/N/N that was amazing!" You say before jumping in circles with Donna eeking. "EEK!" you say before laughing. "Keep it down you two!" Says your neighbor Miss Patterson. "Sorry!" You purposely shout she rolls her eyes.
You both laugh as you walk down the block "y'know I bet Finney imagined that it was you kissing his cheek!" You say making kissey sounds. "Um! No way he was totally looking at you!" Say Donna lightly punching your shoulder. But you saw the blush on her face.
You knew Finney liked Donna and Donna liked Finney and you didn't want to ruin yours and Donna friendship if she likes Finney so be it! I'm not jealous of her or anything but I kinda thought he was a teeny tiny bit cute.. But Donna is head over heels for him at ANY chance she gets she talks about him plus they seat next together in science. And I sit behind them with Tracey. It's utter HELL. It's not like a stupid boy can mess up our friendship right?...Right?
