Fandom: 2001 ASO
The first character I first fell in love with:
That's easy. Hal 9000
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
I'm gonna go Frank for this one.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
Heywood Floyd. Sorry, but I can't get over the conspiracy to murder Hal (which, in the 2010 book, included drugging Chandra. Also in the book, he mentally makes fun of a fat woman.)
The character I love that everyone else hates:
I don't think there is an answer for this......
The character I used to love but don’t any longer:
......or this.
The character I would totally smooch:
Hal 9000 again. XD.
The character I’d want to be like:
I don't have just one, I'd kinda like to be a mixture of Dave, Frank, Hal, and Dr. Chandra.
The character I’d slap:
Heywood Floyd again. And the US government.
A pairing that I love:
Halman (Hal 9000/Dave Bowman)
A pairing that I despise:
Floydra (Heywood Floyd/Dr. Chandra). Sorry, I just don't see it happening, especially after the whole plot to murder Hal, who is basically Chandra's son (the book literally introduces Chandra by saying "....he grieved only for his lost child, Hal 9000." and compares them to a parent and son multiple times. Almost like Clarke was trying to tell us exactly what Hal is to Chandra.)

Send me    “ what happened to you? “    for your muse to find mine bandaging up a wound.  (TO Avon from Dr. Chandra)
Avon is currently sitting upright with his left leg out of his trousers. His right arm has broken off, and is laying next to his leg, holding a pair of scissors for him as he wraps the bandage around his leg. Avon had accidentally sliced himself with a katana his dad had received from one of his yakuza business partners and was now covering the wound.
"I-I'm um." Avon stutters, attempting to hold the bandage out so his loose arm can cut it for him. He's a bit nervous, having now noticed Dr. Chandra talk to him. Having a quick scan over his own systems, he has no recollection of meeting this peculiar man. "I- I accidentally cut myself on one of my dad's weapons. It's fine. I'll be okay." The loose arm cuts finally manages to cut it for him, allowing Avon to clip the bandage to itself. He pulls it tight, making sure it won't slip off his leg.
"W-who are you?" Avon asks, slipping his leg back into his trouser leg. There's a huge cut in his trousers, matching up with where Avon accidentally slashed himself. He picks up his broken arm, feeling it wriggle in his hand as he cautiously watches Dr. Chandra.

if you asked me a week ago how i thought 15 would die i would have guessed succumbing to his injuries after rescuing rogue from hell and dying homosexually in his arms but. no. instead he dies forcing a baby onto a woman who has never shown interest in motherhood. great...

desperately glad that Mr Ring-a-Ding reverted to the cute 2D form for that end sequence because I don’t think I could have physically sat through a slow zoom in on that hyper-detailed 3D face as he disappears dramatically into space

One question: Are we supposed to feel bad for Belinda? Her whole life got changed to fit the need of the story. She went from a competent nurse to a mother almost literally by force. Who she was or was going to be is gone now. That character is gone now, and in their place is someone we barely know. She is so different than when she started and not in a good way. Ten minutes is all it took for her character to be completely rewritten, undoing any effort made to develop her through out the rest of the season.
People are going to argue which companion had it the worst, and I'm gonna say it was Belinda. Belinda died, and now someone else is wearing her skin. You cannot tell me that it is the same person we started with.

The lack of mid season two parters in Ncuti’s run is an underrated problem in developing the characters and story. Interstellar Song Contest would’ve made a banging two parter with the first showing a few of the songs and slowly building the terror as things go wrong. Having a two parter last season would’ve done wonders in fleshing out 15 and Ruby’s dynamic.

I'm worried that by the end of this, Belinda will be like "Oh I loved my travels with you you are the best, Doctor. I love you!" I don't want that. I want her to hate her time with him. I want her to be all "no Doctor this was awful I never wanted this and I never want to see you again." I want the Doctor taken down a peg because he is flying high right now, and he needs to be brought back down to earth. I want it to be sad, and I want it to hurt, and I want the Doctor to learn a lesson because not everyone can fall in love with the Doctor and enjoy their travels. There has got to be at least one bad experience. I don't know, I'm weird, but I think Doctor Who is at its best when it's punching you in the gut.
