It makes me really sad when people hate Ryota Mitarai!! I know the anime was... a mixed bag, and he was very much tied to one of the worst parts of it (brainwashing video retcon) but! I don't think throwing his entire character out is the way to go! He existed in a lot of my canons (albeit without the brainwashing video for... most of them. I say most, because there are a few with it, but even in those it was used differently than in canon) and, like. I really, really care about him because of it! Yeah, the brainwashing video wasn't the best retcon, but do we really need to throw the baby (Ryota Mitarai's character) out with the bath water (poor execution of his character arc/the brainwashing video)? I just... Ryota gets so shit on by the fandom, but I don't think he deserves such treatment!

All this to say... Ryota, if you're out there, stay strong! Some of us appreciate and care about you, don't listen to the haters! And... if any of *my* Ryota's are out there, I don't know if this will ever reach you, but... I'm sorry. For... a lot of things, really. I sometimes... wasn't the best person, in the end. Yet... you always seemed to forgive me, didn't you? I don't know if I can put into words, how much I appreciate that. I really, truly wish you the best, Ryota Mitarai. Stay strong! <3

For the canon voice game! Usually I'm meh on most voices for my kins but the englisj voice actors they get to play me in most of the DR games, especially SDR2 and DR: AE sound almost EXACTLY like I did! It's freaky! The Japanese voice for me in the DR3 anime is ALSO rather similar at times! I had a very wide range of vocal delivery, and I think those VAs killed it! I also sometimes sounded like the English VA for DR3, but not often? I sounded like that when I was putting on a voice. I mainly sounded like my VA in SDR2, I think, personally! Though again: I had a lot of range.

(Part 1) Why is.. why is makoto naegi one of my worst shifts...., IT SEEMS LIKE THATD BE THE OPPOSITE BUT nah man trauma. Like. Where's that angsty shit w me in it dude have u seen episode 11 of dr3 (yeah I know we all wanna block out dr3 from our minds but) like look at that right there that shit is just always buried in the back of my mind just the thought "oh ur the ultimate hope u shoulda saved them". And like I kno I didn't feel like that before becoming shsl hope I was just a normal guy

(Part 2) so why would I be able to stop such a thing that's what I thought that's why I didn't blame myself but then the hero worship and shit happened and I wasn't even viewed as human really just a symbol of hope or hope incarnate or something like no I'm a traumatized teenager who just saw a bunch of his friends murder each other get me some therapy dont put me in a position where literally the whole world is relying on me tf.
