I have no idea if I’m going to explain this properly, but one of my favourite things that artists do with fictional characters that happen to have real people portraying them (any character from a series that isn’t animated in some way, basically) is finding a way to separate the character & the actor/actress, physically?! Somehow artists are able to make that character look like that character and have the actor seem like a completely different person. I hope this is making any sense at all but oh I love it. It’s just so cool. random little thought of the day.

#personal #this is something I’ve been trying to learn forever #because a lot of the media I’ve drawn for/from happens to have characters played by real people #and honestly? it’s hard to get into drawing them at first #because it always feels a little awkward 😅#like ohhh this is a real person I’m drawing in this situation *how do I separate character from actor*#I think it’s just learning to blend them into your style. and adding little touches that the actor doesn’t or wouldnt have #headcanons my beloved #anyways a little ramble for you while I sit by the phone Again

i was looking up the comic pages of the titans tower attack where jason rips off his shirt to reveal the robin costime underneath, and i didnt manage to read it in full but something i found interesting is that tim says, "you're the red hood. you've been cleaning up gotham the easy way."

i dont have the full context for it, but i love that at least standing alone, there's an implication there that tim thinks killing criminals is effective, and he just doesnt find it challenging enough haha. like, there's a lot of other moral judgements you can make about jason's choice to murder, but instead of any of that, tim just decides to point out it's the easy way. 😂

(okay maybe tim said it in an effort to goad by saying jason's taking the easy way out, but i think it's funnier if tim said it 'cuz he doesnt actually disagree with killing and just doesnt do it cuz he follows the bat lol.)
