re: drawlight's old fics
TL;DR i'm not sharing drawlight's fics anymore because i personally don't feel comfortable doing so. i'm sorry if that disappoints people.
i've gotten some more messages recently about sharing their old fanfic, which i understand as more people have returned to good omens. for context, drawlight is a friend and years back, after they left the fandom, they gave me permission to share their fic if i got messages for it.
but that was years ago. and i've thought a lot about it and feel that if they wanted to share their fic, they would. it's not my art to share and i care about them more than helping people access the things drawlight themself doesn't want to think about. this is not me condemning anyone for sharing these fics in private btw, i understand! but i personally don't want to be the "keeper of drawlight fic" especially when i know how much the shitty part of the fandom hurt them back in 2019.
they reuploaded Salinity a little while back, which is their most famous work. i know Literarion has several podfic if you're alright with audiobooks.
anyway, that's all and please remember 1) don't send the show creators or actors another fan's work, and 2) be kind to each other. fanart is not a reason to shit all over someone. if you hate it, block it.

Good Omens Fic Rec: I Will Get Up Now And Go About The City
This is the story of six-thousand years and a borrowed jacket. (A tale told in vignettes.)
Length: 30,146 words
AO3 Rating: Explicit / Spice Level 🔥🔥🔥
Best for: At Home, Romance
Triggers: None
Read it here, fic by drawlight (ripeteeth)
*Minor Spoilers* I actually read the summary wrong when I opened this and thought it was vignettes about specifically a borrowed jacket and that is not the case lol. But I'm glad to be wrong. This was a wonderful collection of vignettes, beautifully arranged. The author does list out the order you could read if you want it chronological, but I think it's best the way it's already laid out. We move back and forth through time, every backstory giving context to the present. The prose is sometimes frantic, a stream of conscience that makes it feel very intimate, but on my first read was a little hard for me to focus on. I needed to go to bed when I read this and was fighting it. That's not the fault of this story, but I enjoyed my second read through much more because I was in the right headspace for it. Just keep that in mind when you read this! Pay attention, you'll want to soak all this romance up.

~ Christopher Drawlight ~ There were many little feminine touches about him that he had contrived for himself, but his eyes and eyelashes were the only ones which nature had given him. -jonathan strange and mr norrell

ID: four sketches of characters from jonathan strange and mr. norrell. 1) norrell, a mouse-like older man with an oversized wig slumped in an armchair with a cup of tea in his lap, looking extremely weary. 2) norrell glaring at childermass, a younger man with messy hair in a ponytail, who is leaning against a wall with arms crossed, looking at norrell judgmentally. 3) lascelles and drawlight looking at the viewer. lascelles, standing behind drawlight, is a slim man with short hair wearing a disinterested expression and holding a small glass of something. drawlight, a shorter plumper man with rouged cheeks and a wig is wiggling his fingers with a delighted and nefarious expression. 4) segundus, a young thin man with curly hair standing stock straight with his hands clasped awkwardly yet delicately in front of him, staring straight ahead with a haunted expression. behind him stands honeyfoot, an older portly man with thin hair, looking slightly bewildered. end ID

Hi hi i made the "who gives the best head" poll! I can't say for everyone else but in my experience with just reading the book, I always pictured Drawlight as this pretty guy who gets places just by virtue of being pretty and cunning, and from there to "uses sex at his advantage" there's just one step lol (also i hope this message isn't too weird and if it is i apologize, i was just laughing bc of your tags and thought i should offer an explanation lmao)
LOL i'm glad my tags made you laugh and also it's not weird at all i very much appreciate the explanation! i think i was just confused over who drawlight was in all honesty; at first i thought something didn't translate from the book to the show (i haven't read it YET but i do have it), but then i realized i was thinking of the wrong guy and when i got it i was like OH okay that whore
