In exactly two years in the timeline of “that fic I’ll never write”, on August 29th, 2026, Taylor and John will welcome their first child, a daughter named Eleanor Hope Seed.

I picked this middle name because it felt right (I doubt I’m the only one who’s had this idea for a Seed baby and/or Far Cry 5 OC) and her first name was inspired by Eleanor Lamb from BioShock 2, the character who awakened my parental instincts.

Between 2026 and 2035, the couple will have a total of four children. In fact, until very recently (about a month and a half ago), I would have said three, but I decided to also include a last son, originally from a sort of New Dawn AU I had. It suddenly made me very sad that he didn’t exist in the “main” timeline, so I fixed that :)

That time the Barbarian knocked a dragon out of the sky

During one of the sessions of my Storm King's Thunder campaign, the party was attacked by a Young Green Dragon while they were traveling on an airship. Gunnark, the resident Wild Magic Barbarian, jumped on top of the dragon, and decided to use the Savage Exploit "Thunderous Blow" (we use Laserllama's alternate barbarian, which gives the class access to Battlemaster-like maneuvers called "Savage Exploits"). This Exploit forces the target to make a Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 5 times the Barbarians strength modifier away from the Barbarian. The Dragon failed, and was pushed 20 feet lower than Gunnark

This obviously caused Gunnark to fall. Using the rules for falling on top of another creature, the Green Dragon had to make a Dexterity saving throw, or Gunnark would fall on top of him, the falling damage would be split between both of them, and the Dragon would fall prone.

The dragon failed it's saving throw, Gunnark fell right on its head and they both fell out of the sky. Since Gunnark was raging, he only took half of the falling damage while the Dragon took it in its entirety. The dragon being more wounded than Gunnark, Gunnark was able to intimidate the Dragon into flying away.

I didn't draw the part where Gunnark landed on top of the dragon, knocking both of them out of the sky, because I'm lazy

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is an intriguing new comet, discovered on January 9, 2023, by #astronomers at the Purple Mountain Observatory (often referred to as Tsuchinshan) in China and later observed independently by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) in Hawaii, hence its combined name. It’s of particular interest because of its brightening as it approaches the Sun, leading to speculation it could become a prominent sight in the night sky if it holds together as it gets closer. Key details about C/2023 A3 include: 1. Orbital Path: C/2023 A3 has a hyperbolic trajectory, meaning it’s likely on its first approach from the outer Solar System. This path could make it particularly active and prone to outbursts as it reacts with sunlight for the first time. 2. Closest Approach: The comet will make its closest approach to the Sun, or perihelion, on October 12, 2024. It will then reach its closest approach to Earth around mid-October 2024, potentially making it visible to the naked eye. 3.
