Okay so, I recently got back into danganronpa... ;-; (It's a pit I have fallen into and can't get out of at the moment -_-). The reason I got back into it is because of Kyoko <3. The thing is, I was rewatching the anime, and it mentioned she had memories taken because if she had her memories, she'd have ended the game to quickly.

The thing is, what memories would she have been allowed to keep? (note, I've only read the first of the Danganronpa: Kirigiri books and have been given spoilers for Kirigiri Sou so I could be very wrong is some of my assumptions).

First, from the 1st book of Danganronpa: Kirigiri, Kyoko has been a detective for as long as she can remember, including, LEARNING HOW TO USE A GUN. And the book took place when Kyoko was 13. Since Monokuma wiped memories of what her ultimate was, wouldn't that have to be removed because from that knowledge, wouldn't Kyoko be able to figure out her ultimate from that?

Then, the group of people that caused the murder in the 1st book of Danganronpa: Kirigiri (blanking on the name rn). They give off HEAVY remnants of despair vibes. Soooo, if they are part of that, or have some connection to Junko, the remnants of despair, and/or Monokuma, then wouldn't those memories be wiped.

Then Kirigiri Sou. I don't know much about this, but I think that one person who created Kyoka, the clone of Kyoko, was mentioned in drv3, so I can assume that they were working with Monokuma+ in some sort of way. Then wouldn't those memories also be wiped?

I'm not sure of exact timeline for any of these, but in between them I'm guessing that Kyoko would be doing detective work, something that could help her realize what her ultimate was.

With all of that, what memories would be left? Almost none.
