Tubbo has been on the DSMP his entire life. And, sure, he doesn't remember anything before he was eight, but he's not actually aware of that so he's not super worried about it. What he IS worried about is Dream, loose on the server, and exactly what that implies for everyone he cares about. Iskall's son has been missing for ten years. He's given up hope on ever seeing him again, even if Sparklez is still searching the void for him. Hermitcraft has been kind to him since he joined, and he couldn't be more grateful--even if his friends are sometimes incredibly annoying. It's good to have a place where he can move on with his life. After all, it's not like Tubbo's going to just show up on the edge of the Hermitcraft server, right? or You know all those Hermit!Tommy fics? This is a Hermit!Tubbo fic.

Fun fact for Tubbo dragon headcanons from Yee old dsmp era

It was a headcanon of Captain Sparklez being his dad with their little duo bits of old

Here is my little headcanon:

The Eggs and other people keep thinking and calling Tubbo an egg because, like the eggs, he is a dragon.

Also, shoutout to the people who drew and headcanoned Tubbo as a dragon all the way back in Dream SMP. You are the real winners right now because this drawing is a hit on Twitter, and more people are probably going to use this headcanon thanks to this stupid drawing I did. I did this for all 5 Captain-is-tubbo's-dad truthers out there!

in general, mcyt subculture is so wild to me. when i think of minecraft youtubers, i think about youtubers like popularmmos & gamingwithjen (i miss them but sighs :(), ldshadowlady, dantdm, captain sparklez, mumbojumbo, magmamusen, stampylonghead, and so on. you get what i mean. this new era of mcyt with the smps and the dramas associated with dsmp or the rise of cheated speedruns just feels so foreign to me. can anybody hear me

mob: just not really interested or aware of the whole thing, but listens with genuine curiosity when others talk about it

teru: watched scott smajor’s pov of X Life and nothing else ever. shou makes him watch third life and he gets really invested in flower husbands but loses interest before last life comes out

reigen: he is an adult man. if he’s watching minecraft youtube it’s tutorials on making extremely basic farms so he can keep up when tome forces him to play

serizawa: longtime mumbo jumbo watcher

shou: has been watching captain sparklez since he was like 8. longtime ethogirl. big life series fan. never watched dsmp but is culturally a ctommy fan. also was definitely a minecraft diaries/mystreet kid this guy watched aphmau 100%

ritsu: has zero interest in mcyt. shou rambles to him about third life and he’s just like “mhm yep wow damn that’s crazy”. he doesn’t even react to the cactus fight. and then he ends up watching whitepine (obligatory YOU SHOULD WATCH WHITEPINE RIGHT NOW) and fucking loves it

tome: was a big crazycraft fan back in the day but has only vague awareness of mcyt by the time she’s in middle school (and this continues into high school)

takenaka: was really into dsmp when it was popular and looks back on those days with nothing but embarrassment in his heart (he hasn’t unlearned cringe. sad!!). still occasionally watches smallishbeans and ldshadowlady but would rather admit out loud that he cares about someone than have anyone find out about it.

OH uh im not sure what this be in reference to, if its me talkin on puttin my DSMP Sparklez AU on hiatus, then no not at all, not undoin anything. I’ve actually returned to it since then and have been rewriting things :D

I think DSMP as a media was really cool and had some really good storytelling from pretty much every member other than you-know-who and definitely left an important impact on the mcyt-smp lore (like cTubbo is crucial to Sparklez related lore and wouldnt have existed without DSMP), so for it to be “undone” to us, it’d be kinda bad

I didnt mean to discourage anyone with AUs, please dont scrap anything, keep makin your stuffs, because fanon and transforming parts of canon is really important for fandom to keep doing :]
