Well, hi ^^) thanks for the ask! (I'm going to speak from Ciel's example, since she's my main original character) 12.How much does your OC's background and origin affect their approach to relationships? Are there specific insecurities or preferences that lead on from their past? Ciel's background, her family's influence had a lot of effect on her preferences. She is naive at times, a bit too trusting with those who have treated her with kindness. Growing up in a loving and affectionate family, she misses the feeling of serenity she had at home. Until one day she discovers that same serenity in the oddest company in whole Ishgard. She didn't plan on seeking a relationship at the beginning of her adventures, let's just say they sort of fell on her. She wanted to see the world, to taste freedom. The result of her upbringing has caused her to have a strange flaw. She doesn't know how to live for herself. She doesn't want anything for herself. That's the way she was raised. To live for others. Only to give. It's normal for her. So finding herself in Ishgard, in a world where she, “half-breed boy” is despised at best, in a company that almost the entire city tries to stay away from, she learns to live for herself, to want something/someone and learns to protect it. (Even if that “someone” is a 7ft tall guy in plate armor who clearly doesn't need this protection.)

29.What makes a scene or situation "romantic" in your opinion? Is this something you find easy to portray? For me, it's the details that make a scene romantic: the glances, the soft and gentle touches. Silence or quiet, relaxed conversations, when my characters are at ease, “without the armor and masks” they wear in front of outsiders. The intertwining of fingers. A kiss on the temple, when lips linger a little longer than necessary. Intimacy of being themself in the company of their partner. Allowing themself to be vulnerable and knowing they won't be harmed (in any sense of the word). That's what romance to me in a scene. I'm completely incapable of writing spicy scenes, too afraid to vulgarize the precious things I've been trying to create for so long. But I absolutely love writing soft romance.

38.What is your favourite depiction of romance (or sex if you prefer) that you have produced? Or if you haven't produced one yet, then what is your favourite example from another creator? There are a few scenes, in part 2 that make me smile stupidly. My favorite is when Ciel, at Paul's request( Oh, you one-eyed devil!! >.<), comes to keep an eye on Grinnaux, who is asleep after being wounded by a poisoned blade. He missed the blow because of her, so she blamed herself. In the end, the stroking of his hair, which to her surprise he loves, turned into a gentle cuddling. She doesn't understand what's going on, he's not really conscious and acting on some inner instinct. And then he wakes up… I'm not gonna write this scene here. Maybe one day I'll translate it and make some screens if I feel like it. Who knows?

P.S. I apologize for the long answer. I would like to say a lot more things, but I`ll keep myself in bay. I'm the kind of person who can talk for hours about my character and her adventures.

Here is an evolution of my failed attempts to write a third Kozakura fic thus far. (I've talked about the high level issues with it over here.) If I ever actually publish this thing everything under here is potentially a spoiler for it, and I can't guarantee this will make any sense if you haven't read the previous two fics, let alone the core series.

The central premise - shortly after Kozakura takes in Kasumi and Runa at the end of Deluxe, Sorawo + Toriko disappear into the Otherside. Kozakura has to get off her ass and go on a days-long trip to rescue them, with two kids in tow despite her best efforts to do this alone. The whole thing is part of the attempt to target Kozakura that Satsuki implied at the end of the previous fic, so resolving this mess requires them to deal with Satsuki.

(For the purposes of this, the draft/version/attempt hierarchy is pretty arbitrary. I'm just mirroring the folder structure I saved it in, for my own sanity. What little is left of it.)

Draft 1, Version 1 Start with Kozakura and Sorawo picking up Runa from DSR and heading to Kozakura's house.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #1 I decided that Sorawo being there just diluted what is a big character moment for both Kozakura and Runa. So, I rewrote the opening, with Kozakura going about her new daily routine with Kasumi before Sorawo and Toriko arrive to drop Runa off at her new home.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #2 I wanted a little more setup before Runa's arrival, and wanted to establish some narrative threads around Satsuki early on, so I decided to open with Kozakura doing a final stream for her streaming career, since she isn't about to be a vtuber with two kids in the house.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #3 Nah, didn't like that. There's a ton of stuff to set up in these opening chapters, so Kozakura's streaming career is a distraction. Start off with Kozakura heading to DSR to pick up Runa.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #4 No actually start with Runa having already moved in, showing Kozakura's new daily routine with both kids.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #5 No actually start with Kozakura, Sorawo, and Toriko having pizza at Kozakura's place to welcome Runa on her first day, doubling as an after party for the Nest Builder incident.

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #6 Kozakura is remodeling her house to prepare for having two kids with Sorawo + Toriko's help, and they take a break in the evening for pizza and beer. This gets disrupted by Otherside shenanigans that end with Kozakura finding a train ticket for a trip departing from Kisaragi Station in a few days. When she does her very best to ignore this, Sorawo + Toriko vanish the next day. She's still on the hook to have Runa move in the following day though, so she picks up her new kid and immediately decides to take a trip into the Otherside. (You can probably guess that this is the first attempt that made it multiple chapters.)

Draft 1, Version 2, attempt #7 Like the previous attempt, but I decided to scrap the last bit and completely rewrite Kozakura picking Runa up. If she's welcoming a kid to her house while she's being targeted by the Otherside, she had a lot more due diligence to take care of than my first pass contained.

Draft 2 I was still unsatisfied with that, because starting days before Runa moves in means that it would be like five chapters before the main plot started. So instead: Start off the day after Runa moves in, with the entire gang getting together at Kozakura's house to have a big meal, which doubles as the after party for the Nest Builder incident. This gets disrupted by Otherside shenanigans that end with Kozakura finding a train ticket for a trip departing from Kisaragi Station in a few days.

Draft 3 - Viewpoint shift to Runa At this point I was pretty unsatisfied with everything. One of the major issues: Runa moving in with Kozakura is a huge character beat for Runa, and if the main plot is about Otherside nonsense barging in and kidnapping Sorawo + Toriko, there's limited time to focus on her. So instead: make Runa the viewpoint character. After all, her relationship with Satsuki is kind of a huge deal too, so there's plenty to work with, right?

So: Runa leaves DSR with Kozakura, and they head to Kozakura's house for a pizza party with Sorawo + Toriko, which doubles as the after party for the Nest Builder incident. The party is interrupted when Kozakura, but nobody else, sees Satsuki, but nothing much comes of it. The next day, more Otherside shenanigans crop up in her house, and when she calls Sorawo + Toriko for help, she finds out that they're missing.

Draft 4 The vibes of the previous draft felt all wrong. I didn't like how Runa came off as a viewpoint character, which was making it hard to keep going. So, I refined my Runa voice and rewrote it. Also, Runa was present to see Satsuki too.

Draft 5 No, making Satsuki be physically present was too much shit to manage. So, actually, just have some interstitial space Otherside shenanigans happen to Kozakura and Runa.

Draft 6 No, the vibes there were wrong too. Have Runa sense some Otherside presence with her voice during the pizza party. The next day, more Otherside shenanigans crop up in the house, and when Kozakura calls Sorawo + Toriko for help, she finds out that they're missing. She decides to leave the house and stay on the move so the Otherside can't catch up to them, until she can figure out what's going on with those two.

Draft 7, Version 1 - Viewpoint back to Kozakura The thing with having Runa as the viewpoint character was, if you look at the summaries of those last few drafts, Kozakura is the one who's doing things. So fuck it, Kozakura's the narrator again.

Start off with Kozakura leaving DSR with Runa.

Draft 7, Version 2 No, too early. Start with them arriving at Kozakura's house.

Draft 7, Version 3 No too early. Start with Runa already living with Kozakura, with the entire gang getting together at Kozakura's house to have a big meal. Afterward, Kozakura finds a train ticket for a trip departing from Kisaragi Station in a few days.

If you hadn't guessed, this was around the point where my files started being named things like '1 - i hope an asteroid hits the planet and kills everybody but especially me (2).odt'.

Draft 7, Version 4 Okay, but the whole arrangement of having the Otherside send Kozakura a ticket and then kidnap Sorawo + Toriko was weird, right? So, instead: Start with Runa already living with Kozakura. Kozakura invites the whole gang over for a big meal at her house, but Sorawo and Toriko don't show up, and then she gets a call from Migiwa mentioning that Sorawo missed some business with him and hasn't answered his calls, either.

They go to Sorawo's apartment to investigate, and find Satsuki's hand-drawn map of the Otherside, with a prominent labeled building that Kozakura's never seen before. The next morning, she has breakfast, and then [this space intentionally left blank]

Draft 8 - Viewpoint back to Runa Okay, but the action was less Kozakura-focused now, so maybe Runa would work better as the viewpoint character again? So this is exactly the same as Draft 7, Version 4, except Runa is the narrator.

The next morning, Kozakura has a meltdown over the fact that Sorawo and Toriko are probably missing in the Otherside, and Runa suggests that they go look for them at the building depicted on the map.

Draft 9 Mostly the same as the previous draft, but with no building labeled on the map, and Kozakura conceals the fact that Satsuki made the map from Runa. Kozakura does notice a prominent building on the map that she doesn't recognize, though, and assumes that's the message the Otherside was trying to send. She decides to head there to rescue them, and intends to leave Runa and Kasumi here with Akari babysitting, but Runa threatens to use her Voice to get Kozakura to take her along. They go on a shopping spree for survival gear to prepare for an Otherside trip.

Draft 10, Version 1 - Viewpoint back to Kozakura The thing is.

The thing is, Runa isn't really that invested in rescuing Sorawo and Toriko. With her as the narrator, things run out of steam at that point, because it's like a chapter and a half of her tagging along as Kozakura makes all the decisions for their expedition into the Otherside. And once they get into the Otherside, there's a lot of that early on there, too.

So Kozakura's the narrator again.

Start with Runa already living with Kozakura. Kozakura invites the whole gang over for a big meal at her house, but Sorawo and Toriko don't show up.

Draft 10, Version 2 Starting with the party was kind of a distraction, though. Akari and Natsumi aren't major players in this plot arc, so I wanted to focus more on Runa. Start off with Runa already living with Kozakura, going through a day in their new lives.

Draft 10, Version 3 No, that lacked momentum. Start with Kozakura waking up for a typical day in her new life, only for some Otherside shenanigans to crop up. She calls Sorawo and Toriko for help, but can't get ahold of them.

Draft 11 - Viewpoint back to Runa Runa was fun to write, though, and I was struggling to make the story work again with Kozakura as the narrator, so why not give her a shot again?

Runa leaves DSR with Kozakura, and they head to Kozakura's house for a pizza party with Sorawo + Toriko, which doubles as the after party for the Nest Builder incident. Afterward, Runa encounters a minor Otherside intrusion in the evening, but doesn't think much about it.

The next morning, Sorawo and Toriko head off on their first overnight Otherside trip in a while. Kozakura takes Runa out shopping for new clothes and stuff. That evening, Runa senses an Otherside presence, and finds Satsuki's map.

Draft 12 Having the map just fall into Runa's map when she's sitting around felt weird, though, and it lacked character interaction. Instead, Runa's hanging around playing video games downstairs when Otherside shenanigans start, and she and Kozakura find the map together.

Draft 13 Actually, y'know what? Screw the map.

Runa leaves DSR with Kozakura, and they head to Kozakura's house for a pizza party with Sorawo + Toriko, which doubles as the after party for the Nest Builder incident. Afterward, Runa encounters a minor Otherside intrusion in the evening, but doesn't think much about it.

The next morning, Sorawo and Toriko head off on their first overnight Otherside trip in a while. Kozakura takes Runa out shopping for new clothes and stuff. That evening, while they're hanging out in the living room, the TV switches on in a variation of the NNN Special Broadcast story, announcing Sorawo and Toriko's upcoming deaths.

The next day, Kozakura hunkers down to wait for Sorawo and Toriko to get back to help with her apparent Satsuki infestation. They don't show up on time, though, and she starts coming around to the realization that something bad happened to them over there.

Draft 14 - Viewpoint back to Kozakura No but really, I was right earlier - Runa isn't all that invested in Sorawo and Toriko disappearing, which poses some big problems. But also, I can't find much interesting to say about her relationship with Satsuki at this point, which needs to be a major driving force in her character arc if she's the viewpoint character.

So.

Runa leaves DSR with Kozakura, and they head to Kozakura's house for a pizza party with Sorawo + Toriko, which doubles as the after party for the Nest Builder incident. Afterward, Runa encounters a minor Otherside intrusion in the evening, but doesn't think much about it.

Draft 15 Buuuut, having back-to-back nights of Otherside shenanigans like that felt weird to me. So let's rewrite it and--

Draft 16 Actually, while I'm making changes anyway, starting off with Runa leaving DSR is too early again. While I'm rewriting things, instead why don't I start off with Kozakura having the whole gang over for a big meal at her house. Sorawo and Toriko show up on the AP-1 to park it there overnight in preparation for their trip in the morning, and--

Draft 17 No fuck it just have the normal group meal, no AP-1 interruption, and no Otherside shenanigans.

The next morning, Sorawo and Toriko head off on their first overnight Otherside trip in a while. Kozakura takes Runa out shopping for new clothes and stuff. When they get back, they see something moving in the windows upstairs. They go to investigate, and see a figure disappearing down the hall. Nothing else happens, but Kozakura smells Satsuki's perfume and finds her map of the Otherside.

Nickles is just cannon i could talk abt them forever and im xurrently writing abt how i think they met n stuff, snickles is just fun, Charles and Pickles met in the snb era and are still sexy, dickface is super silly and in love and so crucial to willy's path to self acceptance I think

I think the dynamics are just too much like family with Toki and some of the others but he and Murderface def fucked in that one ep. But they're mostly just silly friends tho tbh that was a one time thing probably.

Swisgaar and Toki are very complicated, they bicker like siblings and usually dislike each other, theres an element of obsession, theyre musical soulmates and love each other but i just dont see them being lovey dovey romanticly compatible or sexy with each other.

Gender Headcanon: Cis woman, but I haven't thought about it too much (maybe she hasn't either, idk)

A ship I have with said character: Abigail/Skwisgaar ;;0;;, Abigail/Amber, and I still have a soft spot for Abigail/Charles even though I hc him as gay, Abigail/Magnus in the veerrrry specific context I set up in that old fic I wrote (they bond pre-dsr over their shared frustration with Dethklok, but Abigail sees Magnus as a dark mirror into what she could become if she lets her anger fester, so she bounces)

A BROTP I have with said character: Abigail + Charles + Knubbler (they go on work retreats)

A NOTP I have with said character: Again, I really don't have notps. As long as people aren't weird.

A random headcanon: She's Afro-Caribbean, she's Canadian, she likes noise music, her mother was a classical pianist, she's now in a place in her career where she can insist people use her full last name instead of calling her "Abigail R.", had her first queer experience in a night club in Brussels, she does really hard crosswords because she likes to push herself but she always does them in pencil because there's still a part of her that still has doubts.

General Opinion over said character: Mtl really went off making a woman who I believe someone would tank a career and a life-long friendship for. But in all seriousness, I think she's a fun character. I love how she has a weirdo streak instead of her just coming in as a stale love interest (which she does kinda become unfortunately). Most of my complaints are "I wish she was weirder" or "I wish she had more screentime," so the pieces were there I guess.

The Gang Goes To The Diner! (You know what I'm referring to.)

The Gang Goes On A Cruise Ship! (I had an entire fic idea about this that I shared with @nyarsenic that included Cadmus getting seasick, Florence not being able to turn off her noir detective brain, and Hunter Palm being his unpredictable self.)

Ian's Meerkat Gets Out! (Wild goose chase around town to catch Ian's troublemaking meerkat. He is no help at all. Lots of NPC interaction.)

Mandatory Winter Holiday Episode! (The gang has to decorate the office for Hunter Palm and there's plenty of opportunities for depression capitalist holiday discussion, but also maybe some good moments with ugly sweaters or homemade presents? 🥺)

I'd be down for DSR filler, but there aren't as many episodes yet, so I think we need more plot before that happens. Maybe after the plot is over, there could be a little oneshot where Krystal gets to throw her triathlon that she never got to during the RP session? But now all the new characters are there too and it's an entire-town type of deal :)
