Mickey, Donald and Goofy during the 1990s and in 1990s outfits
I know people tend to object to how Max Goof and Huey, Dewey and Louie were portrayed in the 1990s and dressed in the 1990s, although they weren't bad, but here's Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Jose, Fethry, Gus and Gladstone who also wore 1990s outfits and were portrayed as teenagers is not a problem. Isn't it? If I were to ask ironically of course.
Joking aside, I am posting these pictures as covers and Disney (whether European, American or Brazilian) is setting up these characters by posing as teenagers during the 1970s, 1990s and 2000s era, as well as wearing those clothes and outfits from the 1990s and 2000s era. Yes, you also have Dance Dance Revolution with Mickey and friends wearing 1990s outfits. Pop music, rock, metal, hip-hop and other types of music that prevailed during that era. There are cringes, but not all cringes. Still, there are some of us who grew up during the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s era, right? Or at least some of us. Certainly teenage Donald and Goofy remind me a lot of Max Goof and Huey, Dewey and Louie from A Goofy Movie and the Quack Pack.
I have yet to see Panchito, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Drake Mallard and other famous Disney characters wearing 1990s outfits, but it would be hilarious to see them too.
If you like it, feel free to like and reblog this.
P.S. Yes, I like how Max and Huey, Dewey and Louie are portrayed in the 1990s and I don't care about other negative opinions, and I like the outfits that Donald and Jose Carioca wear. My opinion.

The Disney Afternoon’s’ programming block launched 34 years ago, September 10, 1990.
The block will turn 35 years in 2025, wishful thinking for a crossover series with all characters like Jellystone! from MAX getting ordered.
The 2010s and 2020s saw new interations of some shows of The Disney Afternoon block with DuckTales as reboot for Disney XD , Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers as a live action/cgi hybrid film for Disney+.
youtube
youtube
New interations of The Disney Afternoon shows are still being made with Darkwing Duck having a reboot in the works since 2020 and a TaleSpin reboot very early in development since 2023 both projects for Disney+ are being helm by Disney Television Animation, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Point Grey Pictures. (Nickelodeon Animation Studios "Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") In October 2023, it was announced that Gargoyles was getting a live action reboot handled by Atomic Monster and Blumhouse Television, Gary Dauberman (Warner Bros “Anabelle” franchise), acts as showrunner with James Wan and Michael Clear (Universal Pictures “M3GAN”) as Executive Producers alongside Jason Blum (Universal Pictures "Five Nights At Freddy's").

As of right now there's two major Disney Afternoon IPs still left to be rebooted:
-Adventures Of The Gummi Bears
-Goof Troop
Who's next? i guess the future knows however attempts by current Disney Television Animation artists where made:
"Goof Troop" by Becky Dreistadt and Frank Dreistad  (“Big City Greens”, “Big City Greens The Movie: Spacecation”, “Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil”, Cartoon Network Studios “Steven Universe The Movie”, “Steven Universe Future”)
Tumblr media
"Adventures of The Gummi Bears" by Pedro Eboli and Mark Satterthwaite (Netflix “Cupcake and Dino: General Services”, Cartoon Network LATAM “Oswaldo”, Nickelodeon “Ollie’s Pack”, Discovery Kids LATAM “Bada Bean”, Amazon Prime Video "Gary and His Demons")

Since polls were expanded to 12 options awhile back, I’ve decided to include The Nightmare Before Christmas and A Goofy Movie just to mix things up (I apologize in advance to DuckTales movie fans for not being able to fit that one in).

I haven't commented in a long time, but I have to say this. I was recently on the Disney Wiki and next to the article about Max Goof I found this Trivia where it says this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huey, Dewey and Louie in House of Mouse are young adults?!
If so, then they should be a bit taller and be the same age as Max Goof, not still look the same height and sound the same as Donald (I know Tony Anselmo did their voices after Clarence Nash, but again no changes). I mean look at this:
Tumblr media
Mickey is taller than them by a few inches. So how can Huey, Dewey and Louie be young adults when they haven't visited Mickey or their Uncle Donald? Max Goof is known to be tall and most likely 18 at the time (something between A Goofy Movie and An Extreme Goofy Movie). I mean look at this picture:
Tumblr media
Max is known to be taller than Minnie and the rest of the Sensational Six characters except his father Goofy.
Let's face it, I love House of Mouse and enjoyed it a few years ago and I still think it was definitely a great Disney series with good crossovers from Disney movies but my gripe with that series is that almost everyone acts like assholes except for a few characters like are Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Max, Ludwig and other characters from Disney movies that turned out great. Unfortunately this is especially true for my favorite characters like Donald and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie who turned out to be bad in that series. But I will dedicate this critique post to Donald's nephews. Still Donald had his good moments, but I can't say the same for Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie who turned out to be desperate.
Yes, I'm aware that they took the models for them from the Quack Pack, but whatever the Quack Pack was, they still did a thorough and better job of distinguishing Donald's nephews and they sounded like boys their own age thanks to the voice actresses who played them . The House of Mouse totally mixed them up so Louie became Huey, Dewey became Louie, and Huey became Dewey. And yes, they had their own band, the Quackstreet Band, which is fine, modeled after the 1990s Backstreet Boys, but the problem is that they had nothing to do but play. I also don't like how they sounded. I wonder why Russi Taylor didn't play them? I have nothing against Tony Anselmo, he remains a great actor, but I prefer him playing Donald and someone like him, rather than playing boys. Everyone says how badly Quack Pack did the triplets which I don't agree at all, House of Mouse did more. Of course too many characters so they can't all focus on each one individually, but certainly my point is that Huey, Dewey and Louie are not young adults as allegedly claimed in House of Mouse, and they are not teenagers either but as pre-teens as they were in Mickey Mouse Works. Certainly, in my opinion, one of the worst versions of Donald's nephews and I don't want them to sound like Donald at all, because even though they look like their uncle, they still have their own selves and their own specific speech. As much as I have complaints against Ducktales 2017 triplets, they still turned out better there than in House of Mouse and certainly remained in the memory of many, the version of triplets from House of Mouse not so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Certainly in my opinion the Quack Pack did a much better job with Donald's nephews and giving their personalities as well as their relationships with their uncle Donald which were on a high level, but it should have left Huey being Huey, Dewey being Dewey and Louie being Louie. If House of Mouse had taken them the right way with their different teenage voices it would have been much better, and there would certainly have been a focus on the relationships between Max Goof and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, who certainly have some common personalities. That's my opinion, so I'm asking whoever works at Disney Wiki to change that Donald's nephews in House of Mouse are not young adults, but still boys entering the teenage period. Apologies to the others, but that's my opinion. I like House of Mouse, but I like Quack Pack Huey, Dewey and Louie much better than the rip-off House of Mouse version.
Tumblr media
P.S. Maybe one day I'll make my own version of House of Mouse where the Quack Pack version of Donald's nephews along with Max, P.J. and Bobby formed a music band and they would be peers and they would get along great. At least in my headcanon.

For Request: “12 Old Maui” for DT17 Faris D’jinn adopting DT17 Gene the Genie?
Here ya go!
Tumblr media
This is my first time drawing either of them so I hope they don't look too wonky.
Also I gotta say that DT17 handled their designs a lot better than the 1990 Ducktales movie. Especially for Dijon/D'jinn.

I love to laugh.
DreamWorks revealed what their 9/26/2025 movie is...
It's a movie based on the show GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE, which is - of course - a DreamWorks TV Animation production. So basically, SPIRIT UNTAMED Redux...
I was predicting the seemingly long-gestating RONAN BOYLE from director Fergal Reilly, based on the fantasy book series by Thomas Lennon, was after THE WILD ROBOT as the next DreamWorks not-sequel movie. Then again, this fella predicted it would be this autumn's DreamWorks movie as well. It was announced some time ago, had a director and writer locked... Where is this movie? Has it been cancelled? WILD ROBOT and this project have been announced well after it and are coming out, RONAN BOYLE hasn't been talked about since its initial announcement back in... September of 2020...
So yeah... DreamWorks Animation occasionally doing the TV show-to-movie thing. And releasing them as mainline "DreamWorks Animation" movies, and not under a different banner.
This isn't really a thing the other houses do or have done.
Yeeeeears back, Disney formed Disney Movie Toons Studios to make feature films based on Walt Disney Television Animation's then-hit shows. The first of which was DUCKTALES: THE MOVIE - TREASURE OF THE LOST LAMP, released in summer 1990... To less than stellar box office results, but it probably lived a great second life on home video. That film was largely produced at a French unit that Disney used to have. This was followed by A GOOFY MOVIE in 1995, based on the show GOOF TROOP. That too was largely animated at the French studio, as well as their Australian unit with contributions from the mainline Burbank building. It never counted as part of the Disney Animation "canon", however. And following former chairman (and future DreamWorks founder) Jeffrey Katzenberg's departure in fall 1994, A GOOFY MOVIE was kind of just brushed off. While it did okay at the box office, it was no blockbuster, and would later become a cult smash. Movie Toons eventually became Disneytoon Studios, and their future was making direct-to-video sequels to classic Disney animated films with an occasional outlier, such as the THREE MUSKETEERS movie with Mickey and the gang.
Whereas DreamWorks? Both this movie and 2021's SPIRIT UNTAMED - whose TV series was based on a DreamWorks Animation film anyways - were under the mainline DreamWorks Animation banner, and are theatrical pictures.
I'm sure this news is going over well with certain folks, lol. Weird-ass adults who think every DreamWorks movie absolutely *has* to be the sword-wielding cat adventure...
I just find it fascinating myself, because this isn't usually a thing American animation powerhouses do. Disney made it very clear what was part of the major animated movies "canon" and what wasn't, as if an animated movie continuation of an animated TV series was somehow less than? (Fittingly, A GOOFY MOVIE is held up in high esteem by some, even above many of the mainline WDAS-made movies. It was given a rather mixed reception upon its original release.)
But also, Pixar, Illumination, etc. don't really have TV animation divisions per se. Sometimes a film spawns a series that's made elsewhere, such as HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA, but that's about it. Sony Animation did do that AGENT KING show and YOUNG LOVE recently, so they do some TV animation stuff alongside the heavies - it's all under "Sony Pictures Animation" anyhow. With Disney, their TV animation division is separate, ditto DreamWorks.
No Disney TV Animation show since the 2000s got the theatrical movie treatment, the last one in question was TEACHER'S PET in 2004. Those were straight up Disney Television Animation productions, not Disneytoon. DreamWorks is a lot more fluid, as we recently saw what was essentially a pilot film for a MEGAMIND TV series debut exclusively on streaming, while SPIRIT UNTAMED and GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE got full-on DreamWorks movie treatment. It's a little weird, yeah, but it's how they've been rolling.
I'd imagine, like SPIRIT UNTAMED, this will be animated elsewhere. Not Sony Imageworks, probably a Mikros or a Jellyfish-type studio. It's a preschool show, so I'd imagine DreamWorks isn't going to want to sink too too much into this.
Anyways, the mystery's over. I'm still wondering what's going on with RONAN BOYLE. 2025 now houses, for DreamWorks, a non-sequel (DOG MAN), a sequel (THE BAD GUYS 2), and a TV series adaptation (GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE)... Doesn't affect me either way, I'm not the audience for GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE lol.
2026 is all but confirmed to be the year of SHREK 5, now it's the original in question that I'm curious about.

DuckTales (2017) is a masterclass example of how to reboot an old beloved series with love, passion, humor, and brilliant writing. But what about other Disney Afternoon classics? 👀👀
Disclaimer: the Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers movie does not count. I'm referring to a DuckTales 2017-esque reboot series, or something of the like.
Before anyone asks about other shows from that time period: I only included the ones from the Disney Afternoon block specifically.
THAT SAID, I decided to cut the Aladdin, The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, 101 Dalmatians, and Hercules series since I feel that's a whooooole other kettle of fish. Perhaps for another poll....? 👀
Happy voting! ❤

Disney Decades Collection Brings Love Letter To The Disney Afternoon In Big 1990 Collection
The Disney100 Celebration has officially started and one of the ways fans can commemorate the anniversary is with merchandise! The Disney100 Decades Collection is the 2023 continuity line that will focus on movies, cartoons, and characters from the Walt Disney Company's century of entertainment.

Finally “TV's popular programming block, The Disney Afternoon, will throw you back to the '90s to enjoy "DuckTales" alongside it's reboot on Disney XD and Disney+, Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers with it's Emmy Award winning film from Walt Disney Studios and Mandeville Films for Disney+, TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck with the original shows and it's upcoming reboots for Disney+ from Point Grey Pictures and  Adventures With The Gummi Bears which dosn't have a reboot on the pipeline as of yet with this stand-up 3D pin-on-pin diorama.”
