Hey guys, i’m polishing some lots, I finished almost every public lot, I have done 5 homes so far, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but they were LARGE and I wanted to be detailed. So. LMAO. Anyway, I just reached this lady’s house and oh my god ----- EA??? We all make choices, but this was a choice.

Sims 4 - Les Bonnes Ondes

And here is a new lot renovation!

This time, my problem wasn't with the decoration but with the layout: the original bar, "L'Heure du Thé," was divided into two spaces. However, the Sims tended to congregate around the bar (where there wasn't much space) and never visited the other room. So, I decided to change that.

As I continued with the renovation, I ended up changing the decoration a lot; it's much more colorful now! I still like the less saturated color palette I chose for the original, and I'll have to use it somewhere else. I also added a small stage, a photo booth at the back, and transformed the painting shop into a photo studio.

I hope you will like it!

Here's a renovation that I took on to force me out of my comfort zone and personal aesthetic. I am happy how the build is coming along so far... Hopefully it's obvious, but the EA original build is on the left, and the renovated spaces are on the right.

Mariner’s Outlook ☀

§231,006- 40 x 30 - 4 bed, 2.5 bath - no cc - play tested - place with MOO

A three-story traditional beach house with a clear view of the inlet. Once an outpost for sailors to bunk down in between voyages, it’s since had a renovation to bring it up to the modern day. It retains many of its original features including a boat house and wooden observational deck.

Built for The Neighborhood Save, this is an updated version of my previous upload- there's been some changes to the lighting and styling of the home to make it more polished. It pairs wonderfully with the Sage Beach Community! The Galveston-inspired beach house is intended for a multi-generational family so there’s lots of space. In addition to the usual areas there’s a gaming room and office upstairs, a large garage space with laundry, and an outdoor kitchen on the "infinity" pool deck.

Chrissie’s Corner Save File V1.0

Welcome to version 1.0 of my new Sims 4 save file that’s been in the works for 4+ years now where I’m rebuilding/renovating every single lot & world in the game, as well as adding hundreds of new Sims & giving makeovers to all of the EA townies as well!

So why is this Version 1.0?

Basically, this save has been in the works for over 4 years, since before I even had my YouTube channel! Because of that, I’ve decided to split releases up into “versions” because I keep having to go back & update old Sims, homes & lots as we get new packs. I also tend to “hop around” a lot between worlds & as a result of that, there are a couple of lots/households done in each world already - & with each new version, I’ll update it with 1-2 new worlds that are completely done! With Version 1.0 however, I’ve decided to focus on Willow Creek & Oasis Springs!

What does Version 1.0 include exactly?

Other than a bunch of “random” builds/households done in other worlds, Version 1.0 has Willow Creek & Oasis Springs completely done! That means all new community lots, new/renovated houses for EA townies & a bunch of new Sims that I’ve created & built homes for! There are literally hundreds of NEW Sims throughout the whole save file, & you can see a more detailed breakdown of what’s included in Willow Creek & Oasis Springs down below, as well as some more pictures of each world! I’ve also done a OVERVIEW VIDEO you can watch if you’d like!

How to download & install saves:

Once you’ve downloaded the “Corner Save File” from the link below, follow these steps, or check out this great VIDEO (starting at 15:03) that OshinSims made with instructions!

Make a backup of your Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves folder

Download the file, unzip, and place files in Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves.

I’ve tried to make sure the save file slot name is pretty high, but if it says you already have a file of that name, change the slot number. You should probably choose something higher. Just make sure you don’t have that slot number already. (Example: change Slot_00000055.save to Slot_00000099.save)

Open your game and enter the save. It's named “Corner Save 1.0”. You’ll see it pop up with my SimSelf as the preview family.

Once you’ve got the save opened, make sure you “save as” and create a new file for your own gameplay. This way you can use the save again without having to redownload.

Now you can play with the Sims I’ve created, or add your own & have fun!

Disclaimers + Optional Mods:

I built this save with the intention of integrating all of the different packs we have, & since I own all of the packs, I’ve used them all. So if you don’t own all of them, you might find that you’re missing some things & I don’t know how well it would work in that case.

I’ve also used a couple of mods! Now these aren’t “necessary” but I would highly recommend them to add a bit more customization & useful gameplay. They’re really small mods too!

Mods I’ve used:

More Selectable Icons mod by @zerbu​ (To add the custom icons that I’ve used for the clubs I created as well as a couple of the holidays I added. These icons can also be used for SimTuber Avatars & Lifestyle Brand logos too!

Venue Changes mod by @zerbu​ (This mod unlocks a lot of the “specialty lots” that came with packs - like the Chalet, Myshuno Gardens, etc - but I used it to allow students to have club gatherings on the High School lot! So a couple of the teen clubs have the High School as their club hangout.)

Another mod I’d HIGHLY recommend is MC Command Center by deaderpool & I used it a lot to do the setup for my save - but it’s not necessary to have it if you want to play with the save!

i decided it was finally time to give my bridgeport gameplay household an interior renovation. they are 3 hip n trendy young adults and their apartment is in a prime bridgeport skyscraper! the EA furnishings left a lot to be desired.

this is what i've done with the living room and kitchen. i wanted it to be modern and fun, not super minimalist and not super designer luxurious.

i kept the bar for barry's mixology practice and the audio system so they can dance and have cute house parties.

i am trying to keep my build/buy cc low, and leaning into the maxis match look. i am sooo tempted to cram more build/buy cc in there though. i love me some cute furniture. the game's stuff isn't that bad i guess.

i am also trying out a new gshade preset i made. it is warm and gives a soft, lofi kind of look. it reminds me of 2010s era simblr screenshots. it started out as @erasabledinosaur 's lovely Daydream Redux preset. i tweaked the color settings to make it more washed out and sepia-toned.

Myshuno Meadows

Hi, Simblrverse - hope everyone had a great week! Lots going on at Bergie HQ. Kiddo turns 13 tomorrow (insert a ton of sobbing emojis here), so I've been pretty busy getting things ready for her fiesta this weekend and did not have an opportunity to post the beautiful Myshuno Meadows which I completed last weekend!

To say that I was intimidated to complete this lot is an understatement. I DREAD even the thought of building on 64x64 lots, so I've been putting Myshuno Meadows off for weeks. However, when I reread EA's lot description and started farting around, everything surprisingly came together rather quickly. I'm positively flabbergasted at the results.

The park has a lovely little chess area, food stalls and eating area, play area for kiddos and toddlers, fishing area, beautiful central bridge, and the renovated observatory to accommodate weddings! As much as the oversized telescope makes me cringe, I kept it since it was a key element of the original EA lot. Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of the observatory (courtesy of the gorgeous PRECIOUS PROMISES collection by @pierisim and @charlypancakes), and equally proud of my budding terrain manipulation skillz.

I could have taken a million more GShade-infused screenshots and it still would not do this lot justice. It's SO FREAKIN GORGEOUS at sunset and in the evening - perfect for romantic evening strolls when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Sims 4 - Refuge de l'Aube

Sorry for the absence, I have to admit that given the state of the game at the end of the previous year and the beginning of this year, with updates taking a long time to come, I was not very motivated to continue building. Also, I can't promise that I'm really back, I just felt like continuing with my renovations a little these past few days!

As I recently (well, at least three months ago!) posted two new constructions for Mt Komorebi town center, I decided to continue renovating my old lots in this area. But when I started working on this house, I realized it would be better to start over from scratch (...it was a very old lot that I had barely modified to integrate it into the new world upon the release of Snowy Escape). The decoration is less colorful than in the original, but it's intentional. It fits much better with the tastes of the family who lives here (the Vaillet family, whom you can download here).

By the way, I also renovated another house recently, Murs d'Albâtre, but nothing as drastic as with this construction, that's why I didn't make a new post to talk about it!

how do your builds make more realistic builds?

I could probably do a whole TED talk on this but I’ll leave you with a few tips that I use when building. I will say there is no right or wrong way to build. The more exposure (speed builds/practicing/reference pics) you have to it the better you get!

1. Less over head lighting- how many homes have you been in have 17291038 saucer lights? Not many. So cut out the over head lighting and throw in actual light fixtures (lamps, wall lights, fairy lights, etc)

2. Change the hue of your lighting. I normally go with a warm white color to get that cozy effect

3. Do a little research- go on Pinterest or floor plan sites and find someone that connects with you. Or if you’re like me rely on your memories. I grew up in a neighborhood of mostly 1970 midcentury homes. So I tend to draw a lot of inspiration from my old childhood friends homes! I also take pictures of homes I see while driving out and about (not in a creepy way).

4. Watch speed builds- yes they can be a little… generic at times. But another simmer might do something so small that changes the whole feel of build!

5. Less is more***- I go through phases of the maximalist clutter style builds. Right now I’m in my ea minimalist era of building. Mainly because it helps me enjoy my game better. When there’s too much stuff I just get overwhelmed and it’s no bueno for me. That is totally up to YOUR style though. I’ve seen some beautifully over cluttered builds that tell such a beautiful story of a sim. My pc just can’t handle it.

6. Repeat floors, tiles, and wallpapers. Not many homes have a mixture of different wooden floors, tiles, and wallpaper. Keep it simple and just reuse the flooring/walls because it makes the house look more like a stand alone structure than a very stylized renovation.

7. Landscape- now I am no Fern Gully (90s babies where you at). So when I land space I keep it simple. But it does add so much to a build and can give a home some character/story. If you have a family with lots of kids they might have toys out in the yard and their lawn might not be picture perfect all the time. Versus retired couple who’s got nothing but time on their hands. Or you might have a sim that literally doesn’t touch the lawn at all and it’s all over grown!!

8. If possible get a second opinion. Most of builds are seen by my husband who always tells me things I should do that I wouldn’t ever think of. He literally has no idea what the sims is so it always helps to have a fresh pair of eyes!
