They were rarely on different patrols, if they were separated it was as if one of them had gone blind and the other deaf. And when they were together it was as if they could do the work of ten cats. They'd return to camp with their tails held high, side by side, jaws full of prey. Not a single stretch of the border would go unmarked, and in battle it was as if they were one cat.

The elders used to shake their heads and chuckle to themselves. "One day they'll lead the clan together." They'd joke amongst themselves, watching the two brothers spar in the HeronClan camp clearing. "The only question is who will be leader and who will be deputy."

"I would have been a terrible deputy." Ringtail scoffed playfully, a weak smile on his face.

"No, you would have been amazing." Kestreltuft returned the weak smile. "I would have wanted no other cat to serve by my side."

"I have to go. You know I do." Ringtail said after a moment of heavy silence, his ears drooping. "If I lost her, Kestreltuft, I think I would die."

"I'm okay," he said quickly. Reaching up to cradle your cheek in his hand. "I'm okay. Don't cry." Your eyes are too bright and you look terrified.

"You're bleeding everywhere."

"We have an antidote," Jason said, "It'ss stop in a second as soon as he stops digging around in my leg."

"This is all super sweet," Dick said, "But who're you?"

"My girlfriend," Jason mumbled, ears turning scarlet."

"Girlfriend?" several voices yell in unison. "Since when?" Bruce demanded."

"Three years?" you supply, struggling with the math in your head.

"Three years," Jason confirmed. Feeling a little smug when Bruce's eyes widen.

I know you’ve long since finished handplates and by extension any AU with it, but can I get anymore info on how the story with Papyrus leaving the ruins and all would have gone? Deeply invested here.

Honestly I never continued it because I couldn't figure out where to go with it lol. Basically Toriel and Sans were going to find out Papyrus was gone, go and find Gaster and Papyrus, Toriel would be upset and then... ???? After that point I really had no idea what to do, haha. Mostly I liked the image of Toriel kicking open the door and Papyrus like YAY :D while Gaster is like DDD:

The other option was Sans and Papyrus being permanently (?) separated after that point since Papyrus can't go back in and the two having to talk through the door to the Ruins and it's sad, although I really don't think Sans would stay with Toriel over going with his brother, especially if he's scared Gaster will hurt him. I guess Toriel could keep him there by force? I don't think she would though. I don't know, that was also a pretty fuzzy idea. I just thought the image of the two of them being separated forever by something so innocent was quietly tragic and Flowey would probably enjoy them being miserable. I never did decide what to do! Maybe someday...

I feel like an important psa for people that wanna write about aaron and medicine is that right now in the books aaron is a pre-med student which really means that he's taking all the pre-requisites for medical school, but he doesn't actually know anything about medicine. He might know some things via osmosis from Abby, if he asked her about proper protocols for injury prevention, or might know some things because he's been a student athlete for a good chunk of his life and knows to ice and take anti-inflammatory medication for a sprain. But he doesn't have medical knowledge. If you tried to ask him something that isn't related to a sports injury he's gonna look at you like you're stupid for asking him in the first place. He wouldn't know how to do proper CPR unless he took a class and got certified in BLS (basic life saving). He won't be helpful during any medical crisis because he doesn't actually have that knowledge yet. That comes when he gets to medical school, which he would apply for post grad after taking the MCAT.

I fear Kevin Day is the type of person whose struggle always came second. He funcioned enough that while everyone knew he wasn't alright, it was also nobody's problem, as someone else was actively having a harder time and they took precedence. He internalises all his problems and keeps going and going but he is fueled by alchool and sheer desperation a 100% of the time. If he were to stop for even a second he wouldn't know how to start again.

Did he ever, at somepoint in his life -away from the ex foxes, a pro player, married to Thea- wish he had it worse, just so that maybe it would have been his turn being saved? Being first? How badly would he feel, just one second after thinking it, because he knows damn well he has enough trauma to fill a stadium and he isn't actually jealous of his friends that had it worse, he isn't . That's a fucked up thing to think, stop it, stop it.

Would he still drink himself into a stupor to shoote the ache, to banish the thought? That's the help he got, when he was at his worst, a drink, and then two, and then a thousand. And it worked, it made him go, it picked him up when he was down, and now he can't get down without crashing.

Did he wish to be saved? Did he hope somebody, anybody, took the time and put in the effort to help him, just because they saw him down, not because he begged, but because they noticed he could use a hand. Or two, actually. Was it torment, to always be under the spotlight, yet never been seen? Did he run toward fame hoping the more eyes on him meant it would be easier to be noticed?

Based on what we know, it seems that Mc stopped gunning for major leagues in ice hockey around the same time they graduated high school. Does that mean they never participated in any big junior leagues??

well, they did have the opportunity to play for a western USHL team (lincoln stars) but played in the WHL (seattle thunderbirds) instead since it was closer to home.

i’ll give you the option to play the game professionally after graduation tho, and i also have their roster ready as well lmao.
