The first thing I noticed about this game is the distinct split between play on mechs and play outside of them, while using the same dice mechanic the feel and scope are inherently different, and while the system is tightly structured in both parts, the "pilot" one is a guide that can accompany you in play from beginning to end, or that you can learn to tear apart to go with the flow of your story. During tactical scenes the structure is much more complex, but no less flexible, though this is clearly a game for mech technical and tactical geeks, seeing how detailed this part is, it really lets you be creative with it, once you grok its dynamics. Knowing what they were doing, the game's authors have made a companion app that is a joy to use in an almost addicting way, but is so comprehensive and efficient that it really makes a difference in how the game is played. This might both be a boon and a bane for many players, but this isn't a game for everyone, it's clear what it wants, and it requires work from everyone at the table, that is more than justified for the experience it regales you, as far as I could see.

La prima cosa che ho notato di questo gioco è stata la sua netta distinzione fra le parti fuori dai mech e dentro. La meccanica di base è la stessa, ma il tono e le finalità sono ben distinte e, benché sia decisamente strutturato in entrambe, quella sui piloti è una guida che può accompagnarti dall'inizio alla fine, o da cui puoi imparare come adattarla al tuo flusso narrativo. La struttura nelle scene tattiche è molto più complessa, ma non meno flessibile. Questo, tuttavia, è chiaramente un gioco per appassionati tecnici e strategici dei mech, visto quanto in dettaglio scende su quella parte e come ti lascia sfruttarla creativamente, una volta che ci si impratichisce con le sue dinamiche. Gli autori sapevano molto bene quello che stavano facendo, come si vede dall'app di supporto che è così divertente da usare che causa quasi dipendenza, ma è così esaustiva ed efficiente che fa veramente differenza sul flusso di gioco. Un brano corale, dedicato al Natale, alla pace e alle donne, ispirato alle sonorità della Motown. “Christmas letter” è una canzone di Natale, un’invocazione alla pace, all’armonia e allo stare insieme, ma è anche soprattutto un brano dedicato alle donne e ai loro figli.

«Sono moltissime le donne che per motivi differenti si trovano lontane da casa e sono obbligate a rinunciare alla famiglia in un giorno così importante. Penso in particolare a tutte le donne che vivono condizioni di difficoltà, immerse nei conflitti e nel dolore che generano. Questa canzone è dedicata a loro.» Aria

Il testo, nato dalla penna dall’autrice e scrittrice di Cambridge Nicolette Turner, racconta di una mamma militare che è stata inviata in estremo oriente, presso un territorio di guerra, e scrive al proprio figlio promettendogli che farà tutto il possibile per essere presente a Natale e festeggiare insieme. A Christmas Letter, è una fusione tra musica soul e musica classica, con sonorità e arrangiamenti di ARIA che richiamano lo stile di George Gershwin. Lo sottolineano l’uso del clarinetto solista che accompagna la voce della cantante e gli archi armoniosamente dissonanti, tipici della musica atonale e nella musica sperimentale nei primi del 900.  

Il nuovo brano realizzato dal produttore e compositore polistrumentista è stato registrato in South Africa, nel famoso studio di registrazione Downtonw recording studios di Johannesburg, dove è stato girato anche il video. Una seconda parte della produzione è stata invece svolta al recording studios di Los Angeles da Jack Rouben, produttore di Gloria Gaynor, Aretha Franklin, Céline Dion, Earth, Wind & Fire. Alla registrazione del disco hanno preso parte la cantante afroamericana Sherita-o, The City of Prague Philharmonic con il violino solista della violinista Lucie Svehlova, oltre al coro macedone di voci bianche “Heruvimi” e un coro in lingua Zulù. Gli arrangiamenti orchestrali e l’orchestrazione sono stati realizzati da Aria.

Aria è ambientalista e animalista, attivo sostenitore di diverse associazioni, tra le quali Animals Asia Foundation impegnata a porre fine all'allevamento di orsi nelle “fattorie della bile” allevamenti intensivi di orsi tibetani, detti anche orsi della luna, dove tali animali vengono rinchiusi in gabbie strettissime per estrarne la bile, ingrediente utilizzato nella medicina tradizionale cinese. Calygraunt CR 5 CN Fey This creature appears like a vaguely humanoid hare, with nimble clawed hands and long ears. A pair of velvet-covered antlers rises from the crown of its head.

Calygraunts are sometimes called “feystags” in rumors and tavern tales due to their antlers. They are magically gifted creatures that are obsessed with magic items. Few calygraunts have the ability to make magic items on their own, so they trade for or steal magic items whenever they can. Calygraunts are introverted compared to other fey, preferring to tinker with magical items rather than drinking or dancing. They are typically solitary, but mated pairs live together for extended periods equivalent to human marriages. Some act as information or magic item brokers, buying and selling gossip, wands and scrolls. In this capacity, a calygraunt can act as intermediaries between humanoid and fey societies.

In combat, a calygraunt prefers to use magic rather than might. They have a few inherent powers, but hoard disposable items like scrolls and wands for flexibility. A calygraunt can use wands and even staves without spending their charges, albeit only a few times a day, and most calygraunts carry a brace of wands. A calygraunt’s most feared ability is their gift at activating magic items that are carried by other creatures. They use this to spread chaos in adventuring parties, often from hiding, and then attempting to trick their victims into getting rid of their “defective” gear. Calygraunts usually flee rather than fighting to the death, but may hold a grudge if defeated.

Calygraunts are omnivorous with a mostly plant based diet. They favor mosses, mistletoe and mint as foods. Calygraunts of all sexes have antlers, but these antlers are not suitable for combat, being velvet-covered and dull.

Calygraunt Boons and Banes (CL 7th, DC 17) A calygraunt may bestow its boon to a “favored client”, someone who trades frequently with them. They often charge for this convenience. The bane of a calygraunt is used typically out of spite for those that try to cheat or steal from them. Boon: Any spell trigger or spell completion item you use functions at +1 caster level. This boon lasts for 1 week. Bane: Your most valuable magic item gains a curse. It gains a random dependency for its function, and when carried or used, you suffer a random drawback. If this item is discarded, the next most valuable item you carry becomes cursed in the same way. This curse is permanent until removed, but must be removed from the cursed individual, not the item.

17 Curious Facts About Cincinnati’s Coney Island

For almost a century, the “Coney island of the West” was the reigning Cincinnati amusement park, despite tough competition from Chester park in Spring Grove Village and the Lagoon in Ludlow, Kentucky. Now operating as a water park and concert venue, memories of the Old Coney abide.

It Started Out As An Apple Orchard Coney Island got its start as Parker’s Grove. In the early 1880s James Parker started to rent out his apple orchard on the banks of the Ohio River as a picnic grove, eventually adding a dining hall, dancing hall, and bowling alley.

For Many Years, ‘Coney Island’ Was Just A Nickname In 1886, James Parker sold his apple orchard to a couple of steamboat captains who recognized the opportunity to collect a lot more fares by shipping customers upriver from Cincinnati. The park got a new name: “Ohio Grove.” The new owners advertised Ohio Grove as “The Coney Island of the West,” after the well-established Coney Island in Brooklyn. It was years later that the resort was officially named “Coney Island.”

Why Didn’t The Brooklyn Coney Island Sue? Didn’t Cincinnati’s amusement park steal its name from a famous New York resort? You betcha! Then why didn’t they sue? The New York Coney Island is not actually an amusement park, it’s a neighborhood. At its height, the New York Coney Island was home to three major amusement parks - Luna Park, Dreamland, and Steeplechase Park – along with a plethora of independent amusements, none of them named Coney Island. Cincinnati’s Coney Island didn’t copy from another amusement park and therefore got away with grand larceny.

The Coney Island Run Was Bad Luck For Steamboats Although most people remember only the Island Queen, over the years nearly 20 steamboats made the Coney Island run. The Mary Houston ran only one season before succumbing to the 1893 ice breakup; the Commonwealth rammed a towboat in 1895; the Princess was crushed when the Ohio froze over in 1917, the Morning Star burned with the original Island Queen in 1922, the Island Maid burned at Madison, Indiana, in 1932, and the second, most-remembered Island Queen exploded in Pittsburgh in 1947.

Coney’s Pleasures Were Not For Everyone It took a concerted effort to open Coney Island’s gates to Cincinnati’s African American residents. The amusement park was totally segregated until 1955 and the Sunlite Pool and Moonlight Gardens did not admit Black people until 1961.

A Narrow Decision On Integration In 1953, Ethel Fletcher and her three children were denied admission to Coney Island because they were Black. With the assistance of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, she sued and won. However, the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas refused to certify the case as a class action. The decision applied to Mrs. Fletcher, alone. Coney Island was required to admit her, the court ruled, but could deny admission to her children, her husband or to anyone else.

A Really, Really Big Pool Sunlite Pool is the world’s largest recirculating swimming pool. It covers more than two acres. For many years, Sunlite Pool was filled entirely from artesian wells drilled on the property. Today that well water is supplemented by city water originating in the Ohio River.

Coney Island Helped Inspire Disneyland Walt Disney and his brother, Roy, visited Coney Island in June 1953 to gather ideas for the California amusement park they planned. They were impressed by owner Ed Schott, and invited him to advise on their project. At a Cincinnati news conference, Disney said Schott’s advice had been “very valuable” in making Disneyland a success.

Rainy Birth, Rainy Death It rained torrentially the first day Ohio Grove opened in 21 June 1886 and it rained torrentially the day Coney Island closed on 6 September 1971.

One Explosive Act Throughout the summer of 1948, one of the attractions on Coney’s Mall was Captain Leo Simon, “The Man Who Blows Himself Up.” Capt. Simon would seal himself in a box with a lit stick of dynamite and emerge unscathed from a cloud of smoke.

Al Hirt Sets A Moonlite Gardens Record The one-night attendance record at Moonlite Gardens was set 18 July 1964 when Al Hirt packed in 6,266 dancers. Hirt, riding on the success of his instrumental hit, “Java,” broke the previous record of 5,564 set by Ralph Marterie’s Orchestra on 25 July 1953.

A Twelve-Acre Wading Pool Lake Como was excavated and filled in 1893, offering rides in gondolas. It took so long to fill that it was nicknamed “Colonel Brooks’ Duck Pond” by local wags. Most people could walk across Lake Como if they wanted. Completely filled the lake is only three to four feet deep, all the way across. Lake Como covers an area of 12 acres.

Ghost of the Roller Coasters If you’ve ever felt a sort of swooping motion while enjoying a performance at Riverbend Music Center there might be a reason. The  concert pavilion sits on land that once belonged to Coney Island and was occupied by the Wildcat and the Shooting Star roller coasters.

The Inevitable Floods Every autumn, as Coney Island closed for the winter, the hand-carved Grand Carousel horses were dismantled and moved to high-ground storage in the attic of Moonlite Gardens to keep them dry when the Ohio River inevitably flooded. The Grand Carousel was made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1926 and was moved to King’s Island in 1972.

Old Coney Is Haunted There are multiple reports of a man, sometimes accompanied by a woman, gazing from the balcony at Moonlite Gardens. The man wears old-fashioned clothing. Witnesses, when shown photos of George Schott, Coney Island’s one-time owner, agree he is the man they saw. Schott died at the park from a heart attack in 1935.

Davy Crockett Killed Coney Island In 1968, Fess Parker, the actor who portrayed both Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone, announced plans to build a huge “Frontier World” amusement park in Northern Kentucky. The owners of Coney Island, landlocked and unable to expand, realized the competition would be fatal and quickly negotiated a merger with Taft Broadcasting. Plans for the “New Coney Island” at Kings Mills, Ohio, made headlines in 1969. Coney Island closed in 1971 and Kings Island opened in 1972.

A Gigantic RV Park? Before Taft Broadcasting reopened “Old Coney” in a limited capacity in 1976, the company gained approval from the Cincinnati City Planning Commission for a zoning change that would have allowed parking for 300 to 400 recreational vehicles and camper trailers.

Gli effetti speciali sono impressionanti anche se alcuni dei suoi aspetti della trama mettono alla prova i confini della logica e della ragione.

Basato sul romanzo di fantascienza del giorno del giudizio di Lily Brooks-Dalton, il racconto cupo sull'ultimo sussulto dell'umanità sul pianeta Terra diminuisce più di quanto scorre. George Clooney si esibisce in una performance affidabile e solida nei panni di Augustine, uno scienziato Omega che esegue ginnastica mentale per avvertire gli astronauti in avvicinamento a bordo di una colossale stazione spaziale sulle condizioni abitabili della Terra a seguito di un disastro nucleare. Demián Bichir è particolarmente memorabile nei panni dell'astronauta Sanchez. Uno degli elementi più notevoli di "Midnight Sky" è il suo ruolo di film ad alto budget realizzato al di fuori del sistema hollywoodiano, in questo caso da Netflix. La stazione spaziale è piena di attori con cui è fantastico passare del tempo, anche se le loro battute e le loro trame non sono particolarmente diverse da quelle a cui siamo abituati nel genere. Mentre Clooney è eccellente, la sua parte della trama è un po 'noiosa. È uno slogan in cui Clooney e la ragazza devono camminare in una parte diversa dell'Artico per trovare un'antenna più forte.

Ma ancora peggio è una serie di scene in cui vediamo una versione più giovane di Clooney che ha una relazione amorosa, e Clooney è interpretato da un attore più giovane (Ethan Peck), che parla con una voce che è una combinazione di Peck e Clooney. Questo in qualche modo ha ancora più un misterioso effetto valle che se Clooney avesse usato la tecnologia di de-aging, soprattutto perché sappiamo che aspetto aveva Clooney quando era giovane, e non è così.

Per quanto il film sia mediocre, Clooney, in Midnight Sky, mette fine alla spirale discendente che è la sua carriera di regista, dimostrando anche che ha un po 'di vita in lui anche come star del cinema.

Autistic Reclaimed Characters Masterlist

I’m getting back into making reclaimed characters/OCs by reclaiming autistic characters from media.

Source material (and why it’s bad, this part is optional): The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (which is a best-selling mystery novel and a drama/mystery play) and it's bad because it is ableist (the author did little research about autism and autistic people), normalizes the abuse of autistic people, and the book has a stereotypical depiction of autism. Mark Haddon portrayed the protagonist Christopher as elitist, intolerant, dismissive, unconcerned for others, unsympathetic, remorselessly violent, and not noticing or responding to insults and abuse. He is ableist towards other disabled kids at his school and looks down on them while also looking down on non-disabled people. Christopher is mistreated (abused, neglected, abandoned, deceived, gaslit, and insulted), often by authority figures like his parents and most other characters either overlook or actively attempt to justify this. His father Ed lied about his mother Judy being dead to him for two years. Ed also killed his ex-girlfriend's dog Wellington with a garden fork and receives no consequences for doing so except for causing a rupture in Christopher's relationship with him, and he tries to pressure Christopher to repair it by focusing exclusively on how much he is hurt by Christopher. Haddon also portrayed Christopher's parents in a sympathetic light even though the novel is from Christopher's point of view and despite Ed and Judy being abusive and neglectful to Christopher. Siobhan (Christopher's mentor and teacher) is only present in the early parts of the book and absent from the rest of the book without an explanation; the author could have used her to show that Christopher does not deserve to be abused and neglected, but he did not. The novel presents the autistic protagonist as responsible for his parent's divorce and being mistreated by others while showing that he is unaffected by this mistreatment, and portrays abuse, abandonment, and gaslighting as normal and justified.

Source material (and why it’s bad, this part is optional): Mockingbird (which is a young adult novel and a theatre play) and it's bad because there were multiple moments when the main character Caitlin's behavior is too textbook, the author's writing clearly leaned to a clinical view of autism spectrum disorder, and it was written particularly for a neurotypical audience. Kathryn Erskine preferred the clinical research over the thoughts, feelings, and writings of autistic people. Caitlin's epiphany is problematic because it did not feel like her own, it was inspiration porn due to her having to "learn" empathy, and it feels like the epiphany that ableist organizations like Autism Speaks and neurotypicals who fail to understand autistic people want autistic people to have. While the book was written with good intentions, Erskine regurgitated the "no empathy" myth, people around the autistic character are constantly trying to "fix" her and this is shown to be a good thing, and the book ended up being inspiration porn for neurotypicals.

Caitlin can come off as tactless at times due to being brutally honest, but does not mean to hurt people's feelings and will try to clear things up if there are any resulting problems. Martin wrote it in Autism Voice, the narrative is stereotypical, and Rose is explicitly framed as other due to being portrayed as overly literal and the book's constant focus on her obsession with homonyms, numbers, prime numbers, weather patterns, and rules. It also stereotypes autistic people as not experiencing emotions, unfeeling, uncaring, unable to be hurt, and overly rational. In general, Martin denied Rose emotional agency and wrote a story about an autistic character for a neurotypical audience.

Apparent age: 12

Gender: Cis boy

Source material (and why it’s bad, this part is optional): How to Fly with Broken Wings (which is a children's fiction book) and it's bad because the author Jane Elson wrote Willem as stereotypically autistic without naming him as such. Willem seems to check off all of the diagnostic boxes of autism without having much of a personality beyond this. Willem isn’t always treated with respect or dignity, particularly when he’s reduced to facts about airplanes and telling people that he can fly. In the middle of the book, Willem suddenly becomes a magical autistic detective by pulling out several pieces of physical evidence and lines of argument to prove that one person wasn’t involved in gang riots, although these abilities are never previously mentioned. Elson doesn't fully address him being mistreated at school. Sasha describes him in her first chapter as “one of life’s special people” and regularly refers to him as her special friend as their relationship develops. Willem is relentlessly bullied at school and in danger at home, although no other characters do anything about this. Other kids make him jump off of objects or buildings and there are rival gangs in the area who are also interested in manipulating him. In class, his teacher frequently singles him out by requiring him to make two friends instead of completing equations for homework like his peers. The teacher tries to mix up students to get kids to interact with Willem and pulls each aside to say that she wants them to show him friendship, though she recognizes that forcing him to make friends in class encouraged him to interact with his bullies and put him in numerous dangerous situations, and she apologizes by the end of the book. The assignment led to Willem being deceived or put in dangerous situations more than once, and the author offers no clear condemnation of this. Willem’s main bully apologizes for his actions a few times but immediately returns to hurting Willem, and when he eventually befriends him it’s in order to gain favor with the girl he likes. Many adults apologize to Willem-- including his teacher, who recognizes that forcing him to make friends put his life in danger; not that her treatment of him was emotionally manipulative. Also, there is no further discussion of any emotional repercussions.

Apparent age: 14

Gender: Cis boy

Source material (and why it’s bad, this part is optional): Colin Fischer (which is a young adult novel) and it’s bad because despite being written by an autistic author--Zack Sentz--and Colin being likable, the book distances the readers from the perspective of him by othering him and casting him as incomprehensible and weird. Colin is rarely seen as anything but intrigued, confused, or panicked, and that reinforces the damaging, ableist notion of autistic people not having emotions. He is also depicted by Sentz and Ashley Edward Miller to be a super special autistic with “mysterious skills”. Colin’s brother Danny loathing him and their parents is portrayed with no nuance and no emotions from Colin’s end. In the book, Asperger’s syndrome is mentioned as being “related to” autism rather than being part of the autism spectrum. His school is said to be supportive and accommodating, but there is not much proof to support this as the narrative appears to condone the ableist treatment of the protagonist. For example, when Colin is purposefully taunted in class and ends up barking from stress, the principal accepts that it wasn’t his fault, but she also threatens Colin with punishment if he “acts out” again. Another example is his gym teacher Mr. Turrentine ignoring a note from his therapy team that he can skip gym. He also aligns with the popular image of “high-functioning” autistic people as being a socially awkward, math/logic/train-obsessed, straight, white, middle-class teenage boy. His symptoms become less extreme at the end of the book, which is seen as a positive development; this portrays autistic traits as undesirable and negative.

Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat es una franquicia de videojuegos que es popular por su excesiva violencia. Fue creada por Ed Boon y Jonh Tobias en 1992.

Al principio el juego fue bien recibido en las maquinas arcade de esa década, después anunciaron las 1ras consolas y quisieron adaptar el juegos a los dispositivos pero este fue un problema muy grande ya que los padres de los niños exigían que este fuera menos violentos, como medida la empresa decidió disminuir la sangre y quitar los fatalities.

A partir de aquí se desarrollaron varios videojuegos pero no recibieron el aprecio que ellos esperaban. La gente se quejaba de que se estaban alejando de lo que era Mortal Kombat. Intentaron innovar en sus juegos haciendo que  los combates y escenarios fueran en 3d, que hubiera inetracciones con los mapas, incluso meterioren varios remates como: el babylities, brutalitie y el harakirie. Lamentablemente no fue suficiente para atraer a las personas.

Midway (la empresa que tenía todos los derechos de Mortal Kombat) dijo que ya no podía seguir produciendo los videojuegos de esta saga por el mal recibimiento que tenia este. Tobias decidió abandonar la compañía por medio a perderlo todo, mientras tanto Boon invirtió en el posiblemente el último juego de Mortal Kombat. Como dato curioso hay un personaje llamado Noob Saibot que su nombre son los apellidos Boon y Tobias al revés.

Es ahí donde sale el Mortal Kombat (2011), salió para la generación del Xbox 360 y Playstation 3. Este volvió al sistema de combate  de 2d pero con escenarios 3d, la labilidad era rápida, los movimientos especiales de los personajes eran innovadores pero lo que más impresiono de este juego fue la interacción llamada X-Ray, un movimiento que mostraba como le rompías los huesos a tu oponente y no podían faltar los fatalities esos movimientos que permitían rematar al otro jugador, los cuales fueron los más sangrientos y violentos de todos los anteriores, incluyo también el tag que era tener un compañero con el cual podías realizar combos cooperativos. Tuvo como invitados a solo 2 personajes:

-vFreddy Krueger (Elm Street)

- Kratos (God of war, exclusivo de PlayStation)

Como era de esperar  fue un éxito, atrajo a nuevos y a viejos amantes de la franquicia, a partir de aquí Mortal Kombat volvió a aparecer en el mercado.

Tras el tremendo éxito que este tuvo la anterior entrega, Warner empezó a elaborar el siguiente videojuego, después de 3 años  de espera, aparece el Mortal Kombat X. Este juego sorprendió más a la comunidad puesto que nos presenta a la 2da generación de personajes (alguno fueron bien recibidos otros no tanto). La historia continua después de 9 años donde revive el Dios Antiguo Shinok quien amenaza al mundo exterior de conquistarlo.

La jugabilidad es más frenética puedes interinar con el ambiente por ejemplo puedes agarrar una rama para golpear al rival, los luchadores son espectaculares, gracias a Warner consiguieron como “invitar” a personajes de películas de sagas bastante conocidas quienes eran:

-Jason Vorhees (Viernes 13)

-Leather Face (Masacre en Texas)

-Predator (Alien vs Predador)

-Alien (Alien vs Predador)

Los Fatalities eran todavía más exagerados y violentos. Añadieron “finishers” llamados brutalies y faction kills, estos ya habían estado en juegos anteriores pero no eran nada relevantes y la comunidad casi no les prestaba atención.

Plataformas: Xbox One, PlayStation 4 y Pc.

La empresa NetherRealm (empresa que se encarga de MK), empezó a realizar torneos para los jugadores para exhibir su contenido nuevo y traes el interés de publico nuevo. Por un tiempo funciono, llegaron a estar dentro de EVO una convención donde solo los juegos de lucha están presentes.

Continuando con la saga, Mortal Kombat saco una nueva entrega. El Mortal Kombat 11, el cual fue un cambio radical en jugabilidad e historia, se añadieron personajes y se quitaron a los que consideraron relleno, los escenario son asombrosos pero la historia consideraría que es lo peor de este juego porque aparece la Diosa del Tiempo y que nada de lo que paso de en las anteriores entregas debió suceder y empieza una guerra para cambiar y reescribir la historia. Por la parte de multijugador se volvió competitivo, coloco partidas rango para que los jugadores compitieran de manera más seria.

Los invitados de esta entrega fueron:

The Terminator.

Spawn

Robocop.

Plataformas: Xbox One, PlayStation 4 y Pc.

También lanzaron la versión para móviles la cual contiene a todos los personajes que han sacado de los últimos juegos aunque la aplicación contiene bastantes micro pagos .y pienso que no es conveniente descargarla

Durante toda la historia de esta saga han ocurrido controversias que pusieron lo pusieron en riego, el 1ro fue la violencia excesiva el cual se solucionó de manera rápida, el 2do fue que el Mortal Kombat (2011) fue catalogado como sexista ya que las mujeres vestían atuendos provocativos e inadecuados para lo que es el juego, este fue más complicado por que tuvieron que esperar a la otra entrega para solucionarlo y el último fue en el Morta Kombat X donde un personaje  se parecía a una lucharía de la UFC y se hizo un escándalo que casi afecta de manera increíble a la compañía.

Ya hable de los juegos que ayudaron a que esta saga se quedara en el olvido, los videojuegos que fueron pero rechazados son:

Mortal Kombat: Special Forces.

En esta entregan cambiaron por completo la jugabilidad, dejo de ser un juego de combates. Nos quieren introducir un modo historia diferente pero la verdad era pésimo la historia era mala y la jugabilidad era peor, esto trajo criticas negativas haciendo que la gente perdiera el interés.

Plataforma: PlayStation 1.

2.- Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero.

Al igual que el anterior intentaron contar una historia pero la verdad es que no le quedaban este tipo de juegos, la historia era mala y la jugabilidad parecía más un juego de plataformas. En las cinemáticas utilizaban actores para representar a los personajes, en ese tiempo era normal que se hiciera eso.

Plataformas: PlayStation 1 y N64.

3.- Mortal Kombat 4 Gold Edition.

Esta ya era un juego de combate pero lamentable la selección de personaje era horrible muchos de los personajes icónico de la saga no estaban, para arreglar esto sacaron la versión Gold la cual traía a los personajes restantes. Aquí fue donde empezaron a tratar de ajustar el 3d pero lamentablemente había otros juegos que manejaban mejor esta función como lo es el Tekken.

Los problemas eran la jugabilidad tosca, la cámara que encuadraba con dificultad los movimientos de los personajes.

Plataformas: Arcade.

Desde que Warner Bros. adquirio los derechos de Mortal Kombat su camino cambio por completo, actualmente NetherRealm (la desarrolladora del videojuego) también trabaja en otros proyectos como en los videojuegos de Injustices pero este ya es otro tema.

Mortal Kombat siempre a tenido secretos o easter eggs, en los primeros juegos estos eran gliches que hacían que algunos personajes se vieran de colores diferentes y la gente teorizaba sobre posibles personajes ocultos. Tiempo después tras tantas teorías estos personajes hicieron a pariciones en versiones nuevas. Uno de los casos es el de Rain un ninja de morado que que controla el elemento del agua, hizo su aparición en MK 3 y Mortal Kombat Trilogy después no se supo nada de este personaje hasta Mortal Kombat (2011) donde fue un personaje jugable y en Mortal Kombat X donde fue un secundario en el modo historia. Ed Boon tras ver la emoción que causaba este tipo de cosas, ponía mensajes que si hacías lo que te decían, podías enfrentarte a un rival secreto, el mensaje más icónico y que sigue siendo mostrado es el de “mira a la Luna”.

Opinión y Experiencia.

El Mortal Kombat se ha vuelto para mí un juego icónico del genero de lucha, el 1ro que jugué fue Shaolin Monks  (fue el único que cuenta una historia bien) a partir de ahí me volví un fan de la saga. Respecto a los juegos de esta década mi preferido es el MK X por su jugabilidad y la selección de personaje porque estos tenían variantes que les daba diferentes usos y la comunidad no están agresiva. El Mk11  tiene una selección variada de peleadores y un montón de cosméticos para cambiar el diseño del personaje, pero como ya mencione anteriormente este juego está enfocado al competitivo y al comunidad es bastante toxica por querer llegar a la cima de los rangos.

Pero hay algo que nuca va a cambiar dentro de estos juegos lo cual es el spam de habilidades, a mi es lo que me molesta.

I feel like despite this being everything Madoka was, this seems to have lost some of the charm somehow. I’ve been reading that others are having similar experiences, though. Update: I think I know why now…although there are magical girl events fuelling the entire thing, the show is currently more bent on being a CGDCT. That’s why I’m not so happy with it…I dunno about others, though.

I suspected Séance Shrine was Mizuna Shrine…I mean, it was right behind Iroha and co.

The “My Name is Gon” title is a reference to “I Am a Cat” (Wahagai wa Neko de Aru). It actually doesn’t have the word for “name” in there, which is a bit weird…Update: It’s about the day-to-day introspection and life of a cat and the wagahai suggests the cat thinks rather highly of himself, so I’d assume the former (applied to a dog of course), if not both of those things to be part of this.

The fact that Gon doesn’t move his mouth while telling us weird things (such as how Bull’s sweater reminds him of an old lady in Osaka) is hilarious. It’s almost like a play with Gon as narrator.

Interestingly, Katsuyama has the character for “win” in his name. However, this is the only link I’ve found between the serial killers and their names.

There’s a character which appears in both the word for “martial arts” and one of the (dead) professional fighters – Takehiko Fujita. It means stuff like “war” and “military power”.

Oh! There’s a bar on the titlecard and this one is up to 900 of 1200…I wonder what that means? Is that an indication of time, perhaps? Also in the bottom left, “CAM 025”.

Miyo Hijiriido?! Oh my gosh! This is new, indeed!

Okay, so the characters for Miyo look like this: 聖井戸 御代 The first character in “Miyo” is the same one that denotes “go” in goryoushin (formal way to denote “parents”) and similar words in keigo. The characters which aren’t “well” (water well) are the character for “saint/holy” and “age” (as in the period of time, alternatively “generation”), aside from the one I’ve already discussed. Therefore, I’d suggest Miyo is actually “the great detective [who ushers in a new] age” or “the great detective [of the current] age”. Update: Apparently Miyo means “age of a ruler”, as in the period of their reign (specifically referring to the emperor if it needs to be). I’ve heard there’s specific words in the Japanese language used only to refer to the imperial family…this is probably one of them. That specific name combo (as “odai”) is also a very polite way to refer to spare change, although that doesn’t seem very useful to know.

What’s that thing on Tamotsu’s wrist…? (A watch? Wouldn’t that be illegal in a prison like this?)

Interestingly, all other killers wear white. Narihisago is the only one in black (or brown…or whatever colour that is).
