Random Markiplier ego headcanons: Relationships edition (platonic, familial, romantic!) 🩷
Bing, Derby (Cool Patrol Leader), and Marc (E-Boy) are all friends- they’re the shades boys and do dumb shit like make tiktoks of Bing trying to pull Derby on his skates while skateboarding down a street-
Derby and Bop (MarkiplierTV) are Yancy’s younger brothers. They all have the same dad but different moms, and are thick as thieves with each other. Part of Yancy’s incarceration was protecting his brothers from his mother. The younger two visit him on third Sundays 🥺
There is a possibility that Actor is Yancy’s father. There is also a possibility that Actor has attempted to treat Marc like his son despite their vast generational gap-
The Nightguard and the Survivor (FNaF Musical and Resident Enis musical) are brothers, who got separated when their lives went in different directions. They only meet again in the manor with their own sets of trauma and a quite bond over singing
Speaking of singing, there’s a Glee club type get together between all the egos who sing (Yancy, Derby, Bop, NG, and Res-), where they mostly just sing and Yancy tries getting them to do original songs he’s written (even if Bop is only vocalizing and not verbally speaking-)
Ed Edgar and Derek Derekson are work partners, who are attempting to fight for their businesses to get more advertising time on the Markiplier TV scheduling. They’re both awful fathers who convince each other they’re just Doing the right thing :/
Eric has been lowkey adopted by Captain Magnum, the two bonding over their prosthetics at first until Magnum offers to get the boy his sea legs, wanting to take Eric away from the loud bustling manor and onto the “calming” sea. Eric is just happy someone so big is being nice and caring to him 3:
Dr. Iplier and Dr. Plier (My Therapist, Dr. Plier) are cousins, who don’t know exactly why their last names are so similar but Different, but don’t really care. Edward (Iplier) and Greyson (Plier) have coffee together in the morning before their appointments and chat often, they have a solid relationship 🩷
Dark and Wilford are in an open marriage, Wilford enjoys flirting and being with many other egos while Dark is content as long as their husband returns at the end of the night to sleep with them.
Dark and Wilford have also unofficially adopted the King of the Squirrels as their youngest kid, as well as Ayano (Yandere) who was possibly the bastard child of William and Celine in their past life. All she knows is these adult egos feel safe to go to when she’s in trouble at school-
William and Michael (Actor) were brothers, Michael was adopted into the Barnum family and adored his older brother until their adult years, when the affair came to light. In the manor, Wilford has no idea why his spouse despises the depressed Actor that he just wishes to befriend!
Micheal had a short relationship after his divorce, with a writer named Arthur (Author) who wrote him violent poetry and made him feel adored. Now in the manor, Actor finds himself fondly listening to the Host when the man reads in the library ❤️
Google Blue is assigned the task of working with the Engineer to keep the man busy now that he doesn’t have a ship to take care of, leading to the Engineer to grow affectionate over the android as the “nicest” person in the manor (seeing how they barely leave the lab)
Murdock (A Murder With Markiplier) and Yancy are in a relationship that started as only physical and developed into more personal, both sharing their interests with each other the more they hung out. Murdock offers his couch in his apartment for Yancy when he gets on parol
The Googles do not see each other as siblings, more as separate parts of one being. They share files and memory space between each other, work on the same projects, simply having their own color coded folders for anything deemed unnecessary to share between each other. They all see Bing as a reluctant colleague while he sees them as his friends-
Edward has taken responsibility for HeeHoo, while it isn’t domesticated enough to stay in the manor full time, he leaves a cellar door open with a nest of fabrics for HeeHoo to curl up in during the cold months, as well as bowls of food and fresh water by the back door of the manor. Every few months he gets Illinois and Res to hunt it down so he can do a check up and give it necessary medical work.
Illinois and Res are adventuring buddies, in the sense they go on forest walks in near silence. Illinois talks the most while Res is just interested in getting out of that too clean and too fancy house for a few hours. Illy has the maps and the experience while Res has the weapons and skill to keep them safe.
Maybe I do a a part 2 for these adding in JSE egos or non-Mark characters from his projects?? I dunno- also I hit 30 whole tags for this post trying to name everyone and what they’re from 😭

Lassoed Laughter ~ A Markiplier and Jacksepticeye Ego Fanfic
Here we have our next tale! This has come from a lovely anon, and includes our favourite sweet zombie and our ye-hawing Ed Edgar! Without further ado LET'S DO THIS!
TAGGING: @ed-edler and @robbie-lee-zombie
All the egos of the manor had come to an unspoken, yet unanimous decision. The union of Ed Edgar and Halloween was henceforth a bad idea. Mischief was always had at the spooky season, since many egos were by definition rather spooky. Out of all of them, Ed wasn’t one people tended to worry about in terms of misbehaviour. He was a bit rowdy of course, but nothing too consequential… until this year’s Halloween. He’d decided to dress up as a Sheriff and made it his mission to boss people around, have them “under arrest”, and primarily use tickling as his form of serving justice to those not abiding by the “law”. If this had been limited to Halloween it would have been fine… but the fun of the persona had stuck with him, and no-one in the manor had been safe since!
God forbid you’re slacking on a chore, stealing someone else’s food in the night, or otherwise being a “goshdarn mischief”, because before you knew it you’d been lassoed round the waist or ankles or wrists and tormented with tickles until Ed decided you’d served your penance. And, with the Christmas season coming closer everyday, Ed had expanded upon his role, saying he was essentially a Santa-Sheriff whose duty it was to tickle all those who were being naughty until they were nice! Though it pretty much kept everyone on their toes, it was a source of ceaseless, wholesome fun and amusement – Robbie, the sweet little zombie, in particular thought it was very fun! Since he was often well-behaved, Ed had sometime called on him to play deputy, asking him to keep an eye out and report any mischief makers.
However, as the Christmas season got closer for Robbie, the zombie wasn’t feeling at his happiest. Seasonal depression can hit many different people in many ways, the most common being when the days turn dark and cold after a warmer season. For Robbie it was slightly different. Halloween offered a boom in joy for him, because it was the holiday he always got to celebrate the most, and indeed he himself was often celebrated… but when that faded in the wake of the pure, jolly, festive season, Robbie couldn’t help but feel bummed out. Everything was so bright and colourful and full of life, and sometimes he felt like even his presence in a prettily decorated room would ruin the mood. This OF COURSE was not the case, but this was how Robbie’s head worked at this time of year.
Right now he was curled up under a mountain of blankets in his bed, face buried in his forearms, when he suddenly heard a knock at his door.
‘Hey Robs, mind if I come in?’
Robbie grumbled under his blankets, but Ed didn’t hear a no. He came in carefully and realised the room was almost completely dark, aside from Robbie’s dark orange lava lamp on his bedside. Ed sighed softly at only seeing the top of Robbie’s head poking out, revealing his messy purple hair. Ed came and sat on the edge of the bed, and softened his voice as he spoke. Everyone knew that the seasonal depression had been hitting Robbie pretty hard.
‘Hey bud, not havin’ a good day?’
Robbie groaned, confirming Ed’s suspicions.
‘I’m sorry bud. You alright if I play with your hair, or is that a no-no today?’
Then was silence as Robbie thought to himself for a few moments, before mumbling.
‘It okay…’
Ed reached out and softly played with the purple hair he could see, and after a few minutes Robbie shifted closer and revealed his face. He looked even paler and slacker than usual. Ed leaned in and planted a soft kiss on the top of his head.
‘Aww buddy, I’m here for ya, I’m here.’
Robbie nodded, letting out a soft sniffle as he looked up at Ed and pressed his cheek against his warm chest. But then after a few moments Robbie blinked and looked up at him again, realising something. Instead of his usual cowboy hat, Ed had on a red one with jingly bells and a green ribbon tied around it. He reached up, playing with one of the little bells.
‘Hat… new.’
‘Oh yeah, Wilford gifted it to me! To be honest I think he was tryna bribe me not to give him my tickly justice.’
Ed chuckled as Robbie exhibited a little smile, playing with the bells a little more; something about the tinkly sounds was just really satisfying and nice. They spent a few minutes just sat quietly, Ed occasionally shaking his head to make all the bells tinkle at once for him. After a few minutes Robbie withdrew his hand, and let out a quiet sigh.
‘I feel… bad. I feel… like… I’m bad.’
Ed felt his heart strain when he heard that. He cupped Robbie’s chin softly and whispered.
‘You ain’t bad. You’re just feelin’ bad, and that’s not your fault. And we’re all gonna help you feel better no matter what, okay?’
Robbie nodded softly, his eyes watering as he looked up at Ed. It was hard for him to accept, that he was cared for, but Ed being here to always verbalise that reassurance was so important to him. He leant in and hugged Ed tight, burying his face in his chest as Ed hugged him back warmly, and felt the zombie gradually relax in his arms. Ed was thinking hard. Sometimes it’s hard to know what the right thing to do is when someone you love is going through it, but Ed had the advantage of knowing Robbie really well. He knew he wanted to cheer Robbie up and make him smile, just a little bit, and he thought about the things he knew made Robbie happy. On the top of that list? Silliness. Anything remotely goofy always made the zombie smile… and Ed got an idea.
‘Y’know… hearin’ you talkin’ bad about yourself really doesn’t sound like you–’
Ed cut himself off with a gasp, making Robbie let out a surprised little squeak. Robbie went crossed eyed at Ed pointed at him, his expression suddenly dramatic.
‘Of course! It all makes sense! A mean spirit of coal has snuck into you!’
Robbie blinked at him in complete and utter confusion, and couldn’t help but smile as he shook his head at Ed.
‘Nooo, Ed being silly…’
‘Excuse you, I am the Sheriff in these parts! And I certainly won’t have any mean spirits bullying my sweet little deputy!’
Robbie giggled and rolled his eyes when Ed comically wagged a finger at him. It was so ridiculous and made absolutely no sense, and that’s why it made Robbie smile. But then he let out another squeak as Ed started to loom over him, and Robbie realised that the mischief was building up within the “sheriff”.
‘I’m gonna have to banish you outta him… and I think we both know what it takes to banish a mean spirit!’
Ed wiggled his fingers in the air at Robbie and the zombie’s eyes went wide. He immediately beamed and tried to hide under his blankets, feeling the nervous giggles already building in his chest. Robbie had watched Ed “sheriff” many of the egos with tickling, and he now realised he was about to receive the same fate! In that silly moment of realisation, the dark cloud over him started to fade back.
‘No no nooo it’s me! Not a bad spirit not a bad spirit!’
‘That’s exactly what a bad spirit WOULD say!’
Robbie squealed as Ed wriggled under the blankets with him, unable to stop himself from grinning at how much happier Robbie already looked. He leaned in and started nuzzling one of Robbie’s ears, making him squeal out.
‘Nuhuhuhu!’
‘Begone! By the power of tickles, the Sheriff commands you begone!’
‘Eeheheheeed!’
Robbie could only wriggle about and bat cutely at Ed, honestly feeling like such a little kid as Ed started making eating sounds next to his ear. As if that wasn’t tickly enough, Ed’s infernal moustache was brushing and fluttering constantly! Robbie could feel himself feeling lighter, and Ed grinned and mused playfully.
‘My my, stubborn little thing aren’tcha?’
He nuzzled Robbie’s other ear, giving it a few nibbles too to make the little zombie snort as he shook his head.
‘Nahahaha nohohoho nihihibbles!’
‘Oho? Have I found your weakness little spirit?’
Ed chuckled as he nibbled even more, and his eyes twinkled with fond mischief. Before Robbie knew it he’d let out a shriek as fingers started wriggling into his belly.
‘AHHH NUHUHUHU!’
Robbie was kicking giddily and trying to hide his tummy, as well as attempting to roll over to protect himself, but Ed was having none of it. He easily kept him on his back, gently pinning down his hands before scritching over his t-shirt covered tummy. Seeing Robbie like this warmed Ed right to the core.
‘C’mon now, all you gotta do is leave my sweet lil deputy alone and I’ll stop the tickles.’
Robbie’s face scrunched up as he giggled frantically, letting out giddy squeaks as Ed’s fingers snuck under his t-shirt to scratch and tweak at his soft belly. As this all was happening, Robbie realised that he hadn’t laughed (hell he hadn’t smiled) like this for days. It felt so good to just be silly, to enjoy the happy nonsense and not worry about whether he was loved. Right here and now, Robbie felt the love without a doubt.
‘YOHOHOU’RE AHA POHOHOOP!’
Ed gasped dramatically, continuing the tummy tickles as he retorted, feigning offense.
‘How dare you! You’re addressin’ the Sheriff of this here manor, ya better show some respect!’
‘Nuh!
‘Yuh huh!’
‘NUH!’
Ed growled and moved his scratches down to Robbie’s exposed waist, making him snort and squeal as Ed mustered up his most stern expression… but internally his heart was just soaring at how happy Robbie looked right now.
‘Cheeky and stubborn huh?’
Ed smirked a little as Robbie’s cheeks heated up with a lilac blush from the teasing, and so he decided to lean in and whisper playfully.
‘Looks like I’m gonna have to bring out the big guns.’
Robbie gulped, wondering what on earth Ed was going to do. He watched as Ed raised his pointer finger… and start tracing it around his bellybutton. Robbie squeaked and immediately descended into flustered babbles, shaking his head adorably.
‘N-Nuhuhuhu nuhuhu nohoho buhuhutton!’
‘Huh? What was that? I couldn’t quite hear through all those giggles.’
Ed chuckled, knowing Robbie’s bellybutton was both his most sensitive AND his favourite tickle spot; in his worst lee moods, Robbie had even been known to ask for bellybutton tickles. Ed smirked, and gave his bellybutton a little tap. Robbie squealed, eyes going wide.
‘EHED!’
‘Yes?’
‘N-Nohoho bohohoopy!’
‘Awww but you love when I boop your button!’
Ed let his silly act fall away as he grinned, tapping Robbie’s button again and again to make the little zombie snort and laugh and yelp, each tap coaxing out a different adorable ticklish reaction every time. Ed grinned, and leaned in to whisper in his ear yet again.
‘You’re such a goddamn cutiepie, y’know that? I could just tickle tickle tickle you aaall day!’
‘NAHAHA SHUHUHUSH!’
‘Oh I ain’t gonna shush, I know you like when I call you a cutiepie. And I know you love all these tickles on your button, I bet you’ve got lotsa butterflies now huh?’
Robbie shook his head frantically, blushing even more because of the fact that it was all so completely true. Ed knew him better than almost anyone, and honestly was like a dad to Robbie at this point. With Ed there wasn’t a moment where he didn’t feel loved, but he was also flustered beyond belief… and in a spontaneous moment of giddiness decided to raspberry Ed’s ear in retaliation.
‘Agh!’
Ed pulled back to wipe at his ear, the tickles ceasing as Robbie giggled cutely up at him. Ed pursed his lips, narrowing his eyes down at Robbie playfully.
‘Ya little shit!’
‘Ihihi got yohou!’
Robbie giggled even more, and Ed caved and ended up grinning at him. He was so happy his ridiculous, silly idea to cheer him up had worked… but he wasn’t going to let that cheekiness slide. No-one, not even his precious deputy, could cross the Sheriff of Tickles and get away with it!
‘I didn’t realise ya liked raspberries that much Rob…’
Ed smirked, and Robbie saw the twinkle grow in his eyes. Before he could react, Ed planted his lips on his bellybutton and started blowing the most incessant, sloppy raspberries that he could muster. Robbie arched his back, his mouth opening wide as he shrieked and squealed with complete and utter ticklish joy.
‘AHHH NAHAHAHAHA!’
‘Aww, what you can’t take what’cha dish out?’
‘YOHOHOHOU MEHEEEAN!’
‘Hey now I ain’t mean, I’m dolin’ out some justice!’
Ed spent a good few minutes giving Robbie’s bellybutton and tummy raspberry after raspberry, and threw in a few nibbles here and there for good measure. He let Robbie’s hands flail free, loving how he didn’t even try to fight back because of how much he was enjoying it. Eventually though he felt the zombie tapping out against his shoulder, and so he stopped and had mercy on him. Robbie was unbelievably flushed and dishevelled-looking, his tummy and bellybutton and adorable pink colour. Ed grinned down at him, adoring how happy he looked. Robbie panted a little, and then his amethyst eyes sparkled as he smiled bashfully at Ed.
‘Thaaanks…’
He eagerly hugged him again, and Ed smiled sympathetically as he played with his hair, getting it all ruffled up as he replied warmly.
‘No problem bud, I know you don’t feel good this time o’ year. But I’m right here, okay? If ya feel it all creepin’ up on ya then just come to me. Everyone’s here for ya bud, I promise.’
Robbie smiled softly with a little nod, and let out a little sigh as he smushed his face into Ed’s chest and mumbled.
‘… it’s… hard.’
‘I know bud, I know, but you’re not alone. We’ve gotcha, I promise.’
Ed hugged him tight and rubbed his lean back.
‘And hey, I know it ain’t a big fix, but anytime ya need a cheer up tickle or two just ask okay? I’m not gonna stand by and let my awesome deputy stay down in the dumps!’
Robbie giggled and nodded, hugging Ed back even tighter.
‘Looove you… best sheriff…’
Ed felt his heart soar again as he beamed and cuddled him, and they soon agreed that that’s how they wanted to spend the rest of the day; cuddling together so neither of them felt alone. They also took the opportunity, secreted under the warm covers, and started plotting who they wanted to go and dole out tickly justice on. Tickling wasn’t a quick fix for certain, but certainly for Robbie it was definitely the first chapter of a hopeful story, with a much happier ending.
WOOO HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE THIS FIC LEMME KNOW IF YA DO, LUV YOUS!!
