There’s another one entering now, being carried in, passed out with labored breathing. High priority.

“Set them down here.” She points to one of the only empty beds left.

People have been flooding in the past few days, sickness taking over the isle. A harsh winter with less supplies than normal certainly hadn't been helping. Ginny adjusted the makeshift mask over her face, before checking over her new patient. It was little Lizzy Balthazar.

“When did she pass out? How long has she had any symptoms?” She asked while checking her pulse. “Eddie, when did she pass out?” She snapped, checking for any unusual tension or rigidity along her chest.

“She, uh, passed out about an hour and half ago. I thought she was just taking a nap. She hadn’t been feeling well the past few days so I didn’t question her asleep on the couch. But then she-she wasn’t breathing. She wasn’t breathing Ginny. I- I shook her and she started again but she hasn't woken up and has been like this.” Eddie babbled, clearly panicked.

“Eddie! Breath! She hasn’t been feeling well. What is that? Coughing, clammy, tired, throwing up?”

“Uh, Coughing, tired, she felt a little clammy I guess?”

“Alright, now leave.”

“I beg your fucking pardon.”

“The best thing you can do for her right now is leave so you don’t get sick. Now get the fuck out of my clinic.” She pointed to the door, glaring at Eddie

He looked in between Ginny and Lizzy, uncertainty clear on his face, before turning and leaving.

“Fucking bitch.”

Ginny rolled her eyes before putting Lizzy into a recovery position and lightly pounding on her back. A coughing fit over took the kid ending with her coughing up pus.

Fuck. Pneumonia.

She quickly rushed over to their medicine cabinet, searching for their ever dwindling supply of antibiotics and hoping that they would be effective. Hoping that this was a flu gone bad. Despite the sinking feeling in her gut that Lizzy couldn’t be saved.

There it is. Grabbing the small vial and I.V. supplies, she set up a small drip, putting the minimal amount necessary for Lizzy.

After ensuring that she was safe and secured in a corner, Ginny looked over the main clinic floor. All of them working themselves to the bone and sleeping in shifts, Mars currently taking the mandatory 2 hours nap currently. Pale sunken eyes all across the floor, shaking hands, bloody coughs, and fevers. People weakly fighting against help, dragged in by those who care for them. They were overpacked and in such short supply off everything needed to treat them. She could only hope that Maddy managed to synthesize something soon to help.

The door opens and Hunter de Vil gets pulled in by Carlos. Stab wound to lower left abdomen. Blood soaked shirt and plenty of blood along their hands. Surgery most likely needed.

The Isle waits for no one.

Ginny gets back to work.
