The VKs and Games
It doesn't matter what kind of games they like to play. It doesn't matter what kind of game it is. The very notion of a game is warped, for some of them.
The last time Harriet Hook played a game, it was in an attempt to keep her barely-out-of-toddlerhood siblings quiet and occupied as they crouched in a small dark place on the Jolly Roger and their father rampaged in a drunken rage.
The very idea of playing a game is completely foreign to Claudine Frollo. She genuinely has no idea what it is.
The only games Mal, Uma, Evie, Ginny Gothel, and anyone else with fairy or witch blood have experience with are word games, riddles, where one misspoken word costs you a lot more than the game. They are experts in wording things very carefully and finding loopholes.
The only games Freddie and Celia Facilier have ever played are card games. And they're always for something, even something small and useless. Games are never for free.
When Carlos was younger, Cruella sometimes played a game with him. Usually it involved Carlos having to pretend to be a puppy and Cruella hitting him with her cane if he forgot.

Language Headcannons
All the VKs speak multiple languages due to the fact that the Isle is a cultural melting pot, because even villains care about their culture. Most people speak 3-4 languages fluently, it is one of the advantages the VKs have over the AKs.
Everyone knows at least 2 languages fluently.
Everyone knows random words and phrases from languages they don't speak.
The most common languages are English, French, Chinese, German and Arabic
The least common are Faire Speak, Latin, Greek and Atlantican due to the lack of speakers on the Isle.
The Pirates know the most languages out of everyone because their parents wanted them to be able to travel anywhere. They also know Atlantican, Greek, Latin and Faire Speak because Uma, her cousins/siblings and the Hook Siblings taught them.
Freddie and Celia speak French and Creole
Most VK’s just speak their parent’s language as a first language

"The council," Evie says brightly, "Is prepared to release more young VKs, on the condition that we find them appropriate foster families."
There's a moment of absolute stillness, and then--
"And that's a good thing?"
"Nope, no way--"
"They don't even fucking trust us--"
"Hey!" Evie shouts. "Everybody shut up. One at a time, please. Freddie, you can go first."
All the eyes in the room swing over to Freddie Facilier, who crosses her arms over her skinny chest and scowls back at them. "Pass. I can't say anything nice right now, so I'm taking my Auradon lesson, just like they want us to do, and saying nothing at all."
Of course.
"Fuck's sake, Fred," Mal bites out. "You were literally just saying that they don't even fucking trust us. Finish the thought or get out."
Freddie pushes off the wall, the whole long line of her rolling upright, from her shiny purple boots to the tip of her sleek pigtails. She looks mad, and it makes her look like her father. "I said pass, princess. We can't all pretend we love these Auradon folks when they keep coming up with new hoops for us to jump through. My baby sister's the circus freak here, and I can't even get her over without a goody-two-shoes grownup to what, adopt us both? Let them take my sister off the Isle, just to lock her up with some prissy princess family who's gonna treat her like dirt because of where she comes from? I can't just sit back and watch her go through what we did alone, and if she's locked up with some Auradon family, instead of here at school with the rest of us, she's gonna feel more alone than a mouse on main street. I'm not doing it. If they wanna make your market kids go through foster families, fine, but I'm not gonna sit here and just let it happen to my sister."
She pushes her way towards the door, stepping through the whole mess of them, the tangle of kids and homework and jackets thrown across the floor barely impeding her path.
"Wait."
Freddie doesn't turn her head at the sound of Evie's voice, but she does pause, which is something. "I don't much care what you have to say, blueberry. You're the one working with them."
Mal's watching Evie's face like a goblin watches the sun, which is why she sees the flash of discomfort that flickers across the set of Evie's mouth, in the corners of her eyes, before she smooths them out into her perfect mask again ."I know. I am working with them, which is why you don't have to believe me when I say this is the best thing that could happen to us."
Freddie turns, snapping a hand to her hip, her feet still pointing towards the door. "Talk."
"We have an opportunity to invite families to apply for the VK foster program," Evie says, quick and smooth, like she's been rehearsing it. They sleep in the same room, in the same bed most nights, but Mal's not a member of Ben's junior court representatives, and she's only an associate for Evie's upcoming Isle project, so she's not allowed to know what goes on in the phone calls Evie has with the Bureau of Isle Affairs offices each week. An admirable commitment to Auradon standards of privacy, that's what Evie has, and it's not Mal's place to resent her for apparently rehearsing a whole speech about the VK program without asking her to listen to it even once. It's a good thing that Evie has so much moral integrity when it comes to her secret projects, that's it. There's no reason at all for Mal to feel jilted by the fact that Evie hasn't practiced this speech with her even once, even though they're girlfriends and roommates and ex-rivals. "We can hand pick the families we invite, so there's no chance of horrible people like Audrey's parents applying and making our new kid's lives a living hell."
"Just whatever assholes can hide long enough to make it through your vetting program."
"Yes. But--" Evie raises a hand before Freddie can jump in. "The requirements for being a foster family are flexible. The only hard requirement is that there's one adult over eighteen for each minor foster kid placed in the household."
"We're nearly eighteen." Mal realizes. "Eves."
"We meet the rest of the requirements too," Evie says, her eyes bright with what might be tears or her own cleverness. "Or we will, once I have my castle set up. We can take one VK for each of us."
"Four."
"We can get our friends on board. Jorden already said har family would do it, and Ally's working on her mom as well. Lonnie's not eligible because of her international citizenship, but she's asking all the people she trusts to ask their parents, and she has a lot of friends across all the sports teams she's been in, and the hip-hop club, and the school paper.”

CJ: How do you get away with murder?
Harry: Use an icicle to stab someone because it melts away.
Carlos: Get your car cleaned and then purposely dirty it again.
Jay: Buy a ticket to a show and tell as many people on social media so you have a believable alibi.
Evie: Contour your face and use colour contacts.
Freddie: Change your dialect or accent.
Celia: Layer up to make yourself look bigger.
Audrey: Wear heels or bigger shoes.
Sammy: I don't condone any of this.

there's no bandage (to lessen the damage)
Hehe @panthera-tigris-venenata you wanted all three right? You wanted this right? Are you prepared for what you asked for? I'm not sure you are but oh well.
Trigger Warning: Dehumanisation, Unethical medical practices, Human experimentation
All vauge, but you have been warned
CJ had always been reckless. Ever since she could walk she had been getting in trouble, running into situations she shouldn’t belong or climbing up masts. She was rambunctious and loud and free.
There was no one really free on the Isle like CJ was. A luxury granted to her by her siblings, who held so much fear on the Isle no one dared touch her unless they were a fool. She ran from place to place doing as she pleased. So it was no wonder that it was these habits that did her in.
CJ had been enjoying Auradon. There was so much for her to explore, to find, to steal, to simply wreck havoc upon. Running from place to place, kingdom to kingdom, was exhilarating. She finally had people willing to give chase. The thrill of the hunt had been the most addicting thing she had felt yet.
So when the guards got close, within eyesight, and she ran, her voice bubbled with laughter. Crazy psychotic laughter. The only kind she knew, well the only kind she let the public know she had a reputation to protect. It rang out for miles, hiding her in the scenery to most, yet one guard kept her eyes on her, tracking her through the trees and brush, waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect shot.
CJ had stopped for a breath when it happened, standing on a branch, a huge smile across her face. The arrow in her chest took all of that away. She fell, shock replacing her smile, blood quickly blossoming along her shirt. Upon hitting the ground, the audible crunch of bones had even the guard flinching.
She approached closer, careful due to CJ’s known trickery, calling in the fall and potential capture of a wanted fugitive. The young girl just lied there. She seemed so simple, so small with her quickly blood soaking shirt and glassy eyes.
Somewhere on an Isle miles away, two people scream. A piece of their heart gone. They don’t know how. They don’t know why. Just a sinking gut and a searing pain telling them everything they need to know.
“She’s dead. The fugitive is dead. Prepare for extraction.”
The guard looked mournfully, remembering the details of the profile she was given: Calista Jane Hook, Age 14. She had only been a child.
No. She couldn’t think like that. The fugitive was dangerous for a reason. The property damage and millions of stolen goods spoke for itself. No. The world was far better with it out of it. (It had to be right?)
The body is taken in. A full work up is done. Medical tests and examinations. A full autopsy. A full cause of death and all the contributing factors. Everything is done. No stone is left unturned. No one had ever gotten a chance to truly see what the Isle had done to people before, they didn’t want to miss a single detail. Not when something so fascinating, so rare was in front of them. A whole study at their disposal, no ethics board sitting in their way. Not when there was no eligible next of kin. Not when there wasn’t a single soul who cared about the dead fugitive.
In a castle miles away sat a girl searching. For a way to talk, to get her back, to make a deal. A life for a life. Anything. She didn’t mean what she said. She didn’t want to be alone, didn’t want to be in a world without her wildfire. She couldn’t do this without her.
Finally after much pushing from the Crown, the fugitive’s body was released, but not without plenty of samples taken to continue testing. When it finally reached the hands of one Freddie Facilier, she wept at the loss of her dear CJ, who was almost unrecognizable. She was lifeless, none of her abundance of energy to be seen. Massive chunks of her hair were missing, surgical lines across every limb of her body. Every part of her dissected.
She crafted letters, being careful of who saw her. It wouldn’t do to have her surprise ruined. She mourned and buried her wildfire. CJ deserved to rest, deserved to be left alone from Auradon’s pain and torture. She watched and waited for vengeance, it didn’t belong to her, not really. And the sea always helped the sea, a ship couldn’t sail without waves. They grew closer and she grew more content, they will avenge her. They will avenge CJ.
When the siblings finally reach Auradon, it will burn. Their fury will reach levels never seen before. Lives will be taken, buildings broken into and burned. Every inch of what had been done to their sister, every reminder, every document will be destroyed. They don’t deserve her or the knowledge that their “research” on her gave them.
But it will never be enough.
Because Calista Jane will remain dead. She will remain in the ground (Or in labs never found.) She will never speak again. She will never laugh again. She will never run again. She will never be again.
Only the memory of her will remain untainted. And even that is not enough.

If Hell is forever then Heaven is a lie
Jane sits in an empty classroom – she finds it easier to focus in the school than in her own room, and this is one of the perks of having a mom-headmistress.
On the other hand, her mom does expect perfect grades, so Jane sighs over her History of the Good Fairies essay and proceeds to start writing again.
She thinks she’d like some practical lessons on fairy magic better, but her mom wouldn’t want to hear that either.
Jane manages to concentrate pretty well, actually, until suddenly she gets a feeling that she’s being watched: But when she looks around the room, it’s empty. She shakes her head and gets back to her essay.
„Hey, do you have any–“
Jane almost jumps out of her skin when a girl suddenly materialises by the blackboard.
„–Stop screaming, it’s just me – Do you have any fire extinguisher? Frollo’s trying to set the school on fire again and father just run out.
Realising that the high-pitched shriek she’s been hearing was in fact her, Jane shuts her mouth closed.
„What’s the fuss?“ second girl pops into existence next to the other, shaking her head, „Honestly, as if she’s never seen a Shadow witch before… Anyway. Father says to grab some chemistry textbooks too, since we’re here already. Evie’s tearing through our Arachneum too fast.“
„We should grab some more books on languages too, I wanna see what the Mims and Uma do with these yet.“
„A wonder they’re not yet cursed ten times over, all of them.“
„It’s fun to watch! Besides, I wanna see who accidentally manages to bind someone’s soul first.“
„Bold of you to presume it’d be accidental.“
„Excuse me,“ Jane snaps at the two strange girls interrupting her study session with talks about soul magic and Villains who are long since safely locked on the Isle of the Lost, „ who are you and WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?! BEN! BEN!“ she calls out for her friend.

Dr Facilier Villain Backstory
Born Andre Facilier in 1888 to poor parents who died when he was a young teenager, leaving him to fend for himself for a few years before being taken in by his many times maternal ancestor Mama Odie learned of his plight and took him in
Under her, he learned the practices of Voodoo and showed some promise in this, and for a while, he was happy studying under her
But the poor treatment under the hands of the white and rich members of New Orleans society, both as a child and during his time on the street had rightfully given him a sense of anger at the injustices of the world, which he sought to correct by gaining greater aptitude in the practice
But this righteous anger unfortunately fell prey to the machinations of the dark Loa that existed on The Other Side, who promised to enhance his powers if he would enter into a deal with them
Mama Odie tried to steer her grandson away from these dangerous beings who would promise so much but take even more, but Facilier ignored her warnings and began drawing on the darkness to punish and harm as he saw fit, even eventually those who had done him no harm but were simply in the way of his goals
This lead to a confrontation between him and Mama Odie which ended in them disowning each other and Facilier making his first real binding deal with his new Friends, the first of many that would pull him deeper and deeper into their debt
From my Canon Descendants: He at one point married Lucille, the daughter of the famous Madame Leota, who he'd had some dealings with in connection with Mama Odie before she too broke ties with the priestess as her interests became darker.
With Lucille, he had two daughters, Frederique and Celia, whom his wife died in giving birth to.
Celia had great clairvoyant powers, which Facilier would often take advantage of, as her natural aptitude was greater than his
(They're around in the movie but just in the backrooms of the shop, so we don't see them x)
(I originally had his wife's name be Oona but I thought that was too close to Uma, so I changed it)

Freddie Facilier, CJ Hook, and Zevon are the only group of VKs in which each of them canonically has siblings.
Freddie has a sister Celia. CJ has a sister Harriet and a brother Harry. Zevon has a sister Yzla.
Of the Core Four, Mal has a half brother Hadie (who wasn’t even originally her half brother, they only came up with her father’s identity later). Carlos and Jay each have a cousin, and it’s been theorized that Evie and Dizzy are half sisters through Hans, but cousins aren’t siblings, and it hasn’t been confirmed.
Of the Sea Three, Gil has two brothers, both named after their father, and Harry has two sisters, Harriet and CJ. Uma has no siblings. There are sea witches mentioned in the first Isle book, but they might be her cousins through Morgana. Or maybe they’re some other sea witches, not related to her at all. Or maybe they are her sisters, but it doesn’t say so.
Of the second group of VKs to go to Auradon, Celia is Freddie’s sister, Squeaky and Squirmy have a brother Sammy, and Dizzy has a cousin Anthony, not a brother, so Freddie, CJ, and Zevon are the only ones....
Oh, wait, the first Isle book mentioned “the evil step-granddaughters” and Anthony being “their cousin,” didn’t it? Guess Dizzy has canonical non-OC sisters after all. There goes this whole post. Never mind.

Coming back with Descendants bullshit, because it’s one of my recurring fixations and I need to share my headcanons with other people instead of keeping them in my head.
So basically, im my headcanon, any spell or potion that manipulates people’s feelings are always temporal. They have to be renewed at certain periods of time, because human emotions are one of the most volatible things in the world and not even magic can control them fully. And of course, anyone that knows about magic or has magic in their body is able to recognize its effects. Depending on how skilled someone is with their magic, the more they can feel it from others.
Now let’s say that the barrier surrounding the Isle doesn’t eliminate the magic, it only supress it, keeps it dormiant. It’s different for magical kids in Auradon, since their supression has been developed slowly and has been a product of human actions, not a spell. Because of it, magical kids from the Isle are more sensible and vulnerable to magic than the Auradon ones.
Now where do I want to go with this rant. I headcanon that if the Core Four hadn’t been the only Isle kids on Auradon, the thing with the love potion would have go different. I headcanon that if Freddie, Celia, Uma, even Maddie (because I love her) had been there in the first movie, they would have inmediatly felt that Ben was under a love potion, because they can “sense” the magic effects.
Do with that what you want

Rescendants - The Crew
Uma: The captain of the Lost Revenge pirate crew, Uma is a fiercely determined leader who doesn’t take anyone’s shit, though with a soft spot for those that are close to her, like her girlfriend, Freddie, and her best friends, Darcy, Harry and Gil. She has a difficult history with Mal, including heartbreak and betrayal, and an equal, if not more, hostile relationship with her mother. She’s determined to show she can be the best without needing help from her mother’s magic.
Harry: The bastard child of Captain Hook, and Uma's first mate. An aggressive and violent young man with psychopathic tendencies, he's the one who gladly does most of the dirty work when pirating. Physical and verbal abuse from his father and older sister caused him to begin lashing out, even to this day he prefers a punch up instead of peaceful resolutions. He does show a softer and more vunerable side with his shipmates, especially his boyfriend Gil. He has an obsession with hooking things, and is terrified of being alone.
Gil: A big, buff golden retriever of a himbo, Gil is quite possibly one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, affectionate and kind to everyone around him. He uses his strength to assist his crew, but he’s a very gentle boy, especially with his boyfriend Harry and his little sister Gabi. He may be far from the sharpest tool in the shed, often lacking common sense, but he has a high level of emotional intelligence, able to help people work through their feelings surprisingly well, like the good boy he is.
Darcy: Uma’s right-hand woman, and sharing her bone to pick with the daughter of Maleficent, Darcy is unquestionably one of the toughest and most terrifying girls on the island, never afraid to put someone in their place, be that with sharp words or her fists. Darcy is one of the few lucky kids in the Isle to have a good, loving relationship with their villainous parent, and she inherited Oogie’s love of scaring. Though she cares deeply for and will do anything to protect those she cares about, she’s not one to be open about her feelings, though a certain Pumpkin prince may help change that.
Freddie: A smooth and sassy con artist, Freddie has the ability to talk just about anyone into just about anything. But with one the sharpest tongues on the Isle, she can also verbally destroy you if the mood hits her right. Despite this, she has a caring side that comes out especially with her girlfriend Uma, her little sister Celia and her father, Dr. Facilier, who taught her all her voodoo tricks. She may be slick, but she’ll never lie to the people she really cares about.
Evie: The Isle's best cat burglar, and the magical daughter of the Evil Queen. Due to her mother's constant reminders of beauty being an importance, the girl is very self conscious about her looks. Evie used to roll with Uma and her crew. After years of Mal manipulating and abusing the lot of them, she grew jealous of Uma, despite her being mistreated by their leader as well. Mal left her gang for dead, and in her grief, both Evie and Uma blamed each other for the abuse, and went their separate ways. Now she reluctantly works with the group in order to get revenge on Mal and to destroy the barrier.
Jay: The smooth-talking and sticky-fingered son of Jafar, Jay has a real knack for getting himself out of trouble with a few good lies. His theft skills made him a useful asset to anyone on the Isle, but here in Auradon, he’s starting to find his place in more honest pursuits, like Tourney. He has a soft spot for his friends, especially his lifelong best buddy, Carlos, though he rarely lets it show. He also has a knack for charming the ladies, though he finds the tables getting turned on him when he meets the daughter of Mulan.
Carlos: The fast-talking, dog-loving techie who just so happens to be the son of Cruella de Vil. The poor boy is more like an abandoned scruffy pup, berated and abused by his mother. He resorted to stealing to eat, since his mother wouldn't provide care for him. He's a petty thief who's got a motor mouth and a knack for making gadgets based off of junk he finds in the Isle. He's always willing to serve as a distraction, or help Jay with a scheme.
AAAAH PART 1 IS FINISHED! This was such a treat to work on with Weeby, and Artzy's been excited for it! Thank you so much to Weebs for helping make the summaries and for her letting me use her OC, Darcy. Make sure to reblog, reply, post and ask for more. @artzychic27 and @msweebyness
