Here's the thing, I have nothing against Lou/Tommy, but the accessive enthusiasm of him returning and everyone already talking about him showing up for next season,
Which if any of you watched for the last 7 seasons, it is very possible because writers love to drag temps over to the next seasons because apparently breakups are for season beginners, mostly (except for taylor),
is very off-putting.
1. Because the dude literally just showed up and they haven't even had one worthy make out session to even call it a situationship.
2. Buck hurt Eddie physically to get into Tommy's mouth and pants, which ruined it for me from the start tbh and Tommy had nothing to do with it, he was just there.
3. Buck has made Maddie's day, his coming out party - that is a big NO in my book. Because one, dude you literally came out, what if you decide eventually that you don't want this or don't want this with this specific first-guy-ever anymore? And two SHE IS YOUR SISTER THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS HAVE HER LEAVE ON HER HONEYMOON BEFORE YOU KILL YOUR PARENTS OF A HEART- ATTACK.
Even if they "seem accepting" to Buck’s face, this takes time to process, something better revealed in time and in private, once one is sure. Not thinking and talking about this the whole wedding!
And yes, I know, Buck is impulsive, but think for a second, would you want your baby brother to hijacke your wedding after so long of planning it? I know I would have killed him.
Would have told him in advance that if he's bringing his new boyfriend to my wedding, he better tell our parents first. Because this is my fucking day!
I love Buck, but his self-centered personality rubs me the wrong way this season.
Maybe because I wanted to see him growing the fuck up after 7 years and so many traumas and experiences and therapy that he went through, but nope, same old Buck, only instead of the dating the girl who gave him attention, he's seeing the guy who gave him attention.
It's annoying, it's off putting and frankly I am so mad at the writers and Tim for this because these characters deserved better.
And don't talk to me about representation because Shonda did the bi representation in Station 19 perfectly to the point that I was bummed that Travis and Eli didn't end up as endgame even though I loved Emmett with Travis.
Again somehow the 911 writers managed to taint for me what should have been and amazing experience, independent completely of buddie, but no they managed to not only mix Eddie and Buck with Tommy, the whole thing came at the expense of Eddie, physically and mentally, because not only did Buck not apologized to Eddie, Eddie also lost his new friend who now fawns over Buck.
So screw this storyline, I hate it and I hate how everyone is OK with everything that happened in the story, just because Buck is doing a dude(kissing really, there was no doing yet).
There's a lot of blocking in my future, most are just ppl who either came in now because of bi Buck or those who came from other disappointing fandoms and are just here for the rep not the actual story.
But some of us have been here since S1, we want the rep, but we want it to be complimenting, we want to fall in love with the character before it turns into a LI, we want the emotion, the connection, the obvious love building over several years.
Like Casey and Gabby and Severide and Stella, like Maya and Carina, like Travis and Emmett (even though I liked Eli better for him) like Sullivan and Natasha.
I want an emotional payout, give up the surprises, and the wrecked trucks and ships, just tell a good story!
And for the love of all that's holy, enough with the last-minute changes, those never turn out well in the long run. They literally started from scratch when they made the switch between Eddie and Buck.
Also in my opinion, Eddie had a LOT more chemistry with Lou/Tommy than Buck. It would have made so much more sense, in the catholic guilt and internal homophobia department, the nun and supposedly commitment issues was weak at best.
It could have been epic. 😩
And yes, Buck could have started the season single, no harm in that, maybe make him, I don't know, actually growing into something that he would like without someone else to pet his ego? Go back to therapy, work for the LT. exams, be interim captain, realize his worth and learn to love himself for him, not because someone else gave him attention and that made him preen, get him somewhere worthy. Even lessons with Tommy without involving Eddie in this would have been great.
Just something that shows character development, because up until now all I get is S2/S3 Buck and I've seen that movie before, I want my money back.
I realize this is harsh, and normally, I would stick to the light and fun and ignore the rest, but this had to be said out loud so I can go back to that.
That being said, as I said, I will watch Madney wedding purely for Madney. Anything else is just a bonus. I can't wait for that bachelor party and see wth happens to Chimney.
Happy Monday, my loves. ❤️

Pt1 | Pt2 | this one is the last part!
After Steve has dropped Nancy off at her house – and Nancy has talked some courage into him – he drives to the uglier part of town, over Cornwallis and then into Forest Hills. He can only hope Eddie is home. If not, he'll try Jeff's house, and then Freak's or Gareth's. He had to promise Nancy he'll keep searching even if it has him ending up at Reefer Rick's boathouse again.
Luckily, no such search actions seem necessary when he gets to the trailer park: as soon as Steve opens his car door, he can hear loud music emerging from inside the Munsons' trailer. Even though it isn't exactly Eddie's usual taste, something tells Steve that Wayne definitely isn't the one who put this one on.
Should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I've been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you
He knocks on the door, but is not surprised when no one inside seems to hear him, so he pushes it open to let himself in instead.
He finds Eddie sprawled out on the floor in front of the old boombox. His eyes are closed, but even from Steve's place in the doorway he can see how swollen and red the skin underneath them is. His hair is spread out around his head on the floor like a dark halo, and his fingers are restlessly tapping on his own arm to the melody of the saxophone solo.
Steve finds himself frozen in the doorway, captivated by simply watching Eddie lying there in his own bubble while the music slowly fades out. Despite the sadness radiating off him, there's something weirdly beautiful about it, and Steve can't look away, can't move, can't make a sound.
Then, Eddie suddenly sits up; his index finger is already stretched out towards the rewind button when Steve clears his throat to make his presence known. Eddie whips his head towards him with a startled sound.
'Jesus Christ, what the hell?!' he yells out. 'How long have you been standing there? No, you know what, don't answer that, just get the hell out!'
'Eddie, I-'
'I don't wanna hear any of it, man! I thought – no, I'm not talking to you. Fuck you.' Steve knows it's supposed to sound angry, but Eddie's voice starts wobbling dangerously towards the end of his sentence.
'Eddie, please just hear me out,' Steve says, stepping further into the trailer. The end of Careless whisper has left a deafening silence in its wake. He half expects Eddie to cover his ears and start singing loudly, but he's only met with a teary-eyed death stare and crossed arms.
'I'm not seeing any girl, Dustin got it all wrong,' he starts to explain. 'I wanted to tell him who I was really seeing, but I couldn't - not without your permission - so I told him I was seeing someone. Meaning you. I haven't been seeing anyone ever since that first time we kissed. I didn't need to. I've only been thinking about you.' He pauses. It's scary, to let himself be vulnerable like this while Eddie is still looking at him like he despises him. But he takes a deep breath and pushes himself to say it all.
'I don't want to see anyone, boy or girl, ever again, as long as I can have you, Eddie. I promise. I've been falling for months, but I didn't wanna scare you off with any labels you might not want for us – but you're it for me, Eddie, one hundred percent. I never meant to hurt you like this. It's all a big misunderstanding; there's no one else for me.'
Eddie is still sitting on the floor, looking up at Steve with wide, teary eyes. Something in his face has slowly shifted while Steve was talking; the harsh lines around his mouth have turned softer and the betrayal in his eyes has made way for something Steve can only hope to be good.
'You wanted to tell Dustin about us?' is all Eddie says, his voice croaky.
Steve takes another step towards Eddie, then crouches down to the ground until he's sitting right next to him on the worn carpet.
'I mean, I know I don't wanna hide what I'm feeling for you. Especially not when people are thinking I'm going out with some girl when all I want is to be with you.' He reaches out to grab Eddie's hands in his own. 'So yeah, I think I wanna tell Dustin. And everyone else, basically. That is, if we're on the same page about what we are.'
Eddie frees one of his hands from Steve's grip to wipe it over his eyes. His palm is wet when his hand finds Steve's again.
'What about boyfriends?' he says, a hesitant smile creeping onto his face.
Steve squeezes his hands, unable to stop a matching smile of his own appearing. To hear that word falling from Eddie's mouth... He had expected it to feel good, of course, but he had never anticipated it to feel like this: like the whole world suddenly makes sense again.
'Yeah, I can do boyfriends,' he answers, his voice breathy with the multitude of emotions bubbling up inside of him. 'That sounds – sounds good. Great. Perfect.'
Eddie surges forward to catch him in a kiss that's a bit wetter than Steve is used to. Steve happily kisses him back, though, and he can barely suppress a shiver when one of Eddie's hands makes its way upwards over Steve's back and into the hair in his neck. There's a softness to his touch that easily drives Steve crazy with relief.
When they pull back, both of them are smiling dumbly and breathing heavily.
'I'm sorry I had so little trust in you,' Eddie tells him.
'That's okay, I understand,' Steve is quick to answer. 'As long as you leave listening to George Michael to me again from now on.'
Eddie makes a face, causing a big frown to appear between his eyebrows, along with all kinds of wrinkles around his nose.
'God, I can't believe you witnessed that and still wanted to be my boyfriend,' he says, adding an exaggerated shudder for extra dramatics.
Steve clenches his arms tighter around Eddie. 'You won't scare me off that easily,' he murmurs. 'It was kind of adorable.'
'It was pathetic.'
'Yeah, a little bit. But in an adorable way.'
Eddie rolls his eyes. 'You're an idiot, Steve Harrington,' he says. 'But... In an adorable way.'

Steve needs to be touched.
He's not sure how he didn't notice sooner. Didn't really realize until his skin almost itches with it. Until he notices how he will almost chase any physical affection without thinking. But by then, it already feels too late to really do anything about it.
Luckily, Eddie and Robin are both physically affectionate people. They use any opportunity to invade his personal space, any excuse to throw an arm around his shoulders or nudge his shoulder with their own. They're always in his space so much that, at some point, he starts to expect it from them.
It only makes him more painfully aware of Eddie slowly trying to pull back, to pull away. To put some distance between them.
Steve wonders if it's becoming obvious how needy he's become. He had thought he'd been a little subtle about it- he goes straight to him and Robin whenever he starts to feel that itch, that need for contact, but they all have so much trauma that no one bats an eye. But if Eddie has noticed and thinks its... weird or uncomfortable...
He doesn't say any of this to Robin when he tries to ask her what's wrong though. It's less... asking. He basically just waits for a quiet moment to wonder; "I hope I haven't done anything to upset Eddie. He's been pulling away a lot recently."
"Steve," Robin looks a little guilty. "He's fine. You haven't don't anything. Don't worry about it, ok?"
Don't worry about it? Steve frowns.
"You talk to him? It's... I mean, it's only me then, right? I haven't fucked up too bad, have I?"
Robin grabs his shoulders. "Steve. You didn't fuck anything up. He just needs some space right now. I'm the one who told him to back off a little with you. I think it's something you both need. Ok?"
"You told him to back off?"
"Yeah, and you trust me, right?"
"Of course I do."
She nods, gives him a lopsided grin and heads to the backroom to "actually do my stupid job for once!"
Steve tries not to curl in on himself. Tries not to jump to conclusions, but... why else would she tell Eddie to back off? But that means that she's noticed how weirdly clingy he is too. She must be ok with it though... right? She told Eddie to back off, she hasn't tried to do that herself. If anything, she's been a little more physically affectionate.
So he's been making Eddie uncomfortable. He has fucked it up. Robin is just trying to be nice.
The next time he sees Eddie, it's almost too much. Knowing that he's making Eddie uncomfortable won't leave his mind, making him painfully aware of what he's doing, making sure he also keeps his distance. He won't make Eddie more uncomfortable- he's a great guy, he deserves so much better than that.
But it is too much. So Steve starts to avoid him entirely. It's easier, even though it means he has to avoid group hangouts. Even though he feels lonelier than ever. It's easier than having Eddie right there.
He can tell that the others are starting to worry about him. Even Eddie, apparently, is worried. But he keeps dismissing it all. Brushes them off. Falls back on the excuses and tactics he'd use on Tommy. It's not good, he's too cruel sometimes, but it gets them to back off.
Of course, that doesn't last long.
He wasn't fully awake when he pulled open the door and, as soon as the door opens, Eddie shoves his way inside. He ignores Steves complaints, sitting on the sofas armrest, quickly settling down with his arms crossed. He raises an eyebrow at Steve, who is still hovering in the doorway.
Steve reluctantly closes the door. He doesn't sit down. "What do you want?"
"I was about to ask you the same. What the hell is wrong with you, Steve? Did something happen?"
"I'm fine. No, actually, I'm tired. Maybe you should leave so I can fix that."
Eddie narrows his eyes. "You're lying."
"So?"
"So? Fucking hell, dude, I thought you were better than this! Or was that a phase? Miss being King Steve too much, huh?"
Steve flinches at the nickname. "I'm trying to deal with some shit right now. Being around you guys is only making it harder, so I'm taking some time alone to work through it. I'll be fine, I just need some time."
"Time for what?"
Steve grits his teeth. Even if he were willing to talk about it, explaining that he's trying to forget what it felt like to have Eddies hand on his shoulder is too embarrassing to admit.
"Steve, come on," Eddie tries, stands up and walks closer. "Talk to me. Please, I just want to help."
His hand is so gently on Steves arm. He just wants to curl up in the touch, even as small as it is.
He feels shame boil under his skin when his face scrunches up, hating how visibly close he is to crying. Especially with how soft Eddies voice gets, with how he pulls Steve closer so he can hug him, wrapping him up in his arms. Steve can't help but hug him back, gripping the back of his top tight, shaking.
"It's ok, you're ok, I've got you," Eddie is saying. He tucks his face into Steves shoulder, gently rocking them. "Whatever it is, you don't need to be alone, ok? I'm right here. I'll always be right here."
"I don't want you to be uncomfortable," Steve finally sobs. He hates how his voice cracks.
"You don't make me uncomfortable. You've never made me feel uncomfortable, I promise. I don't think you could if you tried, sweetheart."
"But Robin- she told you to back off?"
"Yeah, but that- that's nothing to do with you, ok? You didn't do anything wrong. That wasn't your fault."
He waits, but Steve doesn't respond. If anything, he feels more tense.
"Ok, Steve, come on, hey." Eddie gently pushes Steve away, holds him by his shoulders so he has to look at him. "That wasn't your fault."
"So why were you pulling away?"
"I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Robin didn't want me stressing myself out, worrying all the time."
"Why would I be uncomfortable?"
"Steve. I'm gay."
"Yeah? I do listen when you talk, man, I don't need a reminder."
"No, that-" Eddie snorts, shaking his head. "I'm gay and you're pretty. And nice. And you're always curling up on me like a fucking cat. Did you really not realize?"
"Oh." Steve blinks. He isn't sure what he's feeling, but it definitely isn't negative. "Really? Me?"
"Yeah, Stevie, you. I thought you'd noticed. I stare at your lips a lot. Even the kids noticed. Like I said, I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. It's one thing to be ok with a dude being gay, it's another for that dude to be crushing on you. I get it if you don't feel comfortable with any of that shit."
"No, it... it's not making me feel uncomfortable."
"Ok. That's good? Right? How is it making you feel?"
Steve fiddles with the hem of his top, face heating up. "Uh. Nice, I guess? I don't know. But not, like, bad."
"Nice as in... it's nice to feel wanted?" Eddie glances down to his lips- this time, Steve notices.
"No, um... I don't know. I didn't really think you'd ever want to look at me like that. It's nice." Steve shifts, hesitating. He doesn't want to say the wrong thing, but he really wants to admit it... "I, uh... I think I want you to look at me like that."
"Steve, please, you need to elaborate. I don't want to read this wrong. Why do you want me to look at you like that?"
"It's... uh..."
Eddie steps a little closer, gently reaching out to hold his hand. "Steve. Why do you want me to look at you like that?"
"Because that's how I look at you," Steve whispers. The thought is a little shocking, even to him- but it's true. "Oh."
Eddies thumb rubs a little circle on the back of his hand. It's nice, comforting. "Steve, I'm gonna kiss you now. Is that ok?"
"Yeah. Yeah, yes, that's ok, please."

Class Ring (Eddie Munson x Reader)
***********
PART TWO PART THREE
Summary: Eddie and the Reader are married and none of the Hellfire boys realized it. Just a little blurb based on this post by @gayheadphones! Let me know if I should add to it!
Warnings: Fluff, Cursing, Sexual Refrences, a Little bit of Making Out
(I will get a "Read More" cut on this ASAP. Requests are WIDE open! PLEASE leave requests!)
***********
"Harrington." Eddie bellowed, spreading his arms proudly from where he was perched upon his throne. "Approach your Dungeon Master."
"Jesus, man. If you're gonna make it weird I'll just go." Steve rolled his eyes, shuffling foward  as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"I'm not making it weird. Sit your ass down." Eddie pointed to an empty lawn chair that had been pulled up to the table. Eddie flipped through his book for a new character sheet.
Dustin plopped down next to Steve, "This is Gareth. He's the drummer in Eddie's band-"
"Corroded Coffin." Eddie corrected as Gareth waved at Steve.
Dustin rolled his eyes, "This is Jeff. He shreds  for..." Eddie shot him a look. "Corroded Coffin"
Eddie gave him a satisfactory nod.
"And of course you know Lucas, Mike, Erica. Where's Y/N?" Dustin frowned, noticing the empty chair.
Eddie stretched his arms lazily behind his head, kicking his boots up onto the table. "She's being a babe. Making us-"
"Bagel Bites!" You announced carrying a messy, hot cookie sheet full of the, slightly burnt, snacks. "Get 'em while they're hot."
You tossed the tray haphazardly onto the card table where the boys had slung their jackets and backpacks. Eddie bit his lip through a grin, patting his thighs for you to come sit as the others swarmed the tray.
You blush, giving him a coy look as you stalked over to where he was sprawled across his throne. He grinned mischeiviously as you sat in his lap, letting your arms slide up his chest and around his neck as he pulled you into a messy kiss.
You smiled against his lips as he pecked yours one last time, mussing your hair playfully. You scrunched your nose.
"Get that shit out of here!" Dustin yelled through his bite of Pizza Bagel.
Eddie pulled you into another showy kiss out of spite, lifting you further up into his lap and giving your ass a playful slap, but the kiss quickly broke into laughter at the other boys groans.
"C'mon man. How do you expect us to play if you two are having sex on the damn table?"
"Hey!" He yelled, pointing at Mike accusatorily. "I will make love to my woman wherever and whenever I damn well please!" You whacked his thigh with a roll of your eyes and he giggled, rubbing your back fondly as you laid your head against his chest.
The last bagel bite polished off, the boys sat back down. Mike crossed arms, "How come Y/N gets to be here every week? I thought we had a no girlfriend rule?"
Steve snorted, "You guys are just swimming in female attention, huh? That's why you made the rule?"
Eddie ignored him, "Three reasons, Wheeler. A, Y/N's a part of Hellfire. She's got a character. She's on the roster. She's a damned good player." He tugged a lock of your hair playfully. "B, I can do whatever the hell I want. Hence the title, Dungeon Master."
Steve chuckled to himself.
"And C..." The room went quiet as Eddie smirked. "Y/N's not my girlfriend." You giggled softly.
Mike rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Just because you haven't made it official or something doesn't mean she's not-"
"Yeah, Munson. She's hanging all over you-
"What do you mean she's not-"
"Wait..." You and Eddie frowned, looking at one another.
"Did I never tell them?" Eddie laughed, eyes going big, "I thought they knew!" You turned in his lap, back against the front of his chest. His arms wrapped around your waist. He quirked a brow suspiciously. "Nah, They're fucking with us."
"No we aren't!"
You looked at Eddie again and he laughs, shrugging, "I could've sworn I've told them. Like, multiple times."
"Told us what? What, are you like, friends with benefits or something?" You and Eddie both broke into laughter, which only annoyed the boys further.
Dustin looked to Steve, who had realized very quickly what was happening, and was now just smiling to himself in amusement. "Dude, just tell us!" He whined
"Look at her hand, man." Steve shrugged, sitting back in his chair. Y/N tilted her hand towards Dustin, revealing a dainty ring.
"So what?" Dustin frowned, exasperated. "She has a class ring!"
Eddie laughed, grinning. "No, Henderson. She has a wedding ring."
The room froze, before ultimately erupting with a chorus of confused high school boys.
"What? Wait...What?"
Mike looked bewildered. He met Y/N's eyes. "You're married? Who the hell are you married too?"
"To me, asshole!"
Steve laughed heartily as he watched the scene, grinning.
"Since when are you two married?" Lucas looked at the two of you skeptically.
"I was 19 and she was 18 so that's??" He counted on his fingers. "Two years ago now."
"I don't buy it." His basketball shoes squeaked as he sat back down in his chair, cockily.
Eddie didn't budge, just pulled his wallet out of the back pocket of his jeans and flipped through it. You laughed against his skin as he skimmed past two condoms to find a dog-earred wedding photo. He passed it to Lucas, who the boys immediately swarmed to see it for themselves.
Eddie chuckled softly and you looked up at him over your shoulder. He pulled out a second photo that'd been tucked away behind it. A much dirtier photo he'd taken of you, naked and his, on your wedding night. He grinned mischeiviously and kissed you below your ear, nipping at it playfully. "I think I'll keep that one to myself, hm?"
You blushed, burying your face in his chest with an flustered smile. "Jesus, Eds, why is that in your wallet?"
"Because it's incredibly valuable." He explained, as if it should have been obvious. He shrugged sheepishly, ears going pink. "And uh...you never know when you might need it." You snorted, returning his earlier gesture with the playful tug of one of his curls.
"So you guys got married after Y/N graduated? So like, after your first senior year?" Mike thought aloud.
"Highschool sweethearts, baby. Almost seven years, now. That's a record."
"Are you guys gonna have kids?"
"Dustin." Steve scolded, only to be replied to with an indignant, "What!?"
You just laughed, "Why, Henderson? You looking for a babysitting gig?"
"Oh my god. Absolutely not."
You grinned, and Steve laughed as you shot him a knowing wink.
"We've been....casually trying." Eddie admitted, embarrassed. He scratched his neck, ears going pink.
"Holy shit! You guys have been....and we didn't even know!?" Mike looked offended.
Lucas looked disgusted, "God, please tell me you haven't tried in here."
"Right where you're sitting, man." Eddie teased. Lucas shot up from his chair, making you fall into another fit of giggles.
"You know, I'd totally forgotten you two got hitched." Steve admitted. He chuckled, shaking his head. "Mr. And Mrs. Munson."
"In the flesh, Harrington." He shot him finger guns.

First Time
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: You and Eddie still haven't had sex, and it's starting to weigh on you. So you finally tell him you want to go all the way.
GENRE: smut (mdni!!!)
WARNINGS: f!reader, established relationship, playfulness, pussy eating, fingering, protected sex, vanilla
a/n: This is my first fic on this blog! Eddie is so hot god help me, I blushed madly while writing this. Enjoy~
Eddie had thought about this a lot. Every time you bent over his eyes were glued to your ass. Whenever you leaned over the D&D table his gaze went straight down your shirt. he tried not to be obvious about the effect you had on him, but the stars in his eyes told a different story. He would cough awkwardly and look away each time you caught him (which was more often than he'd like to admit) and a knowing smile would creep up to your face.
Even when you two were cuddling innocently, all he could think of at times was how soft and warm your skin was. He daydreamed about how soft your boobs probably were. He'd only ever touched them once, on accident, sort of. He was teasing you about your girly blouse and without thinking had just grabbed a handful of you. He played it off well actually, opting for teasing you for getting so flustered over it. You didn't miss the shade of red his cheeks were though.
Eddie knew you had bad past experiences with sex. He was very understanding of that fact and never advanced on you to do anything, but that was starting to bother you. It made you sad how he would have to leave to the bathroom after each one of your heated makeouts to take care of himself, no matter how understanding he was.
What bothered you more was the wetness in your panties from imagining him jerking off there. If you were lucky, you could hear a groan from the other side of that stupid door.
His pillowy lips were moving swiftly against yours as you try to keep up. The kiss was getting progressively more sloppy with each swipe of his tongue on yours. taking initiative, you opt to change position and shift into his lap. He smiles into the kiss when you push on the back of his head to get him closer to you.
The longer this kiss went on, the harder he got. It didn't take much to get him riled up. Especially not when you're wearing his shirt and looking as pretty as ever on top of him like this. he breaks away to take another look.
Your lips were reddening and slightly swollen from all the friction and your chest heaved up and down with each deep breath you took. He licks his lips at the sight of your nipples through his shirt.
"Well as much as I'm enjoying this, princess, I should probably excuse myself." No, no. Not again. Not when you're so hot and bothered from feeling his hard length underneath your thigh. He starts to lift you off of him with ease, but you stop him.
"Eddie." He looks up at you, his grip on your waist loosening. you gulp.
"Eddie, I don't want you to leave. Please don't." You found it difficult to get out what you really wanted to say; 'fuck me!'. He tilts his head, his smile softening. You sigh and look away for a second before returning your gaze to him. He raises an eyebrow, waiting for you to go on. He can tell you're holding something back.
"What is it, doll?" A part of you thinks he already knows based on the cadence in his voice but you can't take this anymore. so you squeeze your eyes shut and blurt it out.
"Please fuck me!" Your face turns crimson as you realize what you'd just said and your eyes shoot open to gage his reaction. He has the widest tight lipped smile you'd ever seen before he starts giggling. you slump over and hit his shoulder, whining at him for laughing at you.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He apologizes through his grin.
"If it's any consolation, I would love to. I was just surprised." he smiles sweetly at you trying to ease your embarrassment. he still lifts you off of him but lays you down and hovers over you.
"And since you asked so nicely..." He smirks before leaning down to kiss you again, softer this time. He couldn't really keep himself from breaking the kiss every so often when he was smiling so hard. His hands stroked your sides, his touch lingering around your waist where the hem of your jeans laid. His fingers crawled their way to the button and undid it, but not without asking you for reassurance. He finally pried your jeans from you, tossing them aside his bed before laying his eyes on you innocent and cute white panties adorned with a wet patch in the center. You were too perfect.
"My, my Y/n. If I had known you were this worked up about it I would have done this a lot sooner." He snickers to himself, driving you nuts. Could he just touch you already?
You whine and stick up your hips, physically begging him to rid you of your underwear. He chuckles and his deep brown eyes meet yours. He gives you a genuine and excited smile that you return without hesitation. He really was so appreciative of you trusting him like this. He hooks his finger on your underwear and pulls them down while kissing gently down your neck.
his two fingers softly touch your cunt, slowly lapping up your wetness before he settles himself between your thighs. The sight of him there looking up at you was enough to coax a moan from your throat.
Eddie trails kisses from your inner thigh to you clit, you flinching when his lips press down on it. He licks a fat stripe up you and leans back for a second, locking eyes with you.
"You taste like a fucking candy." He says in a low voice. You were sure you didn't but you took the compliment with a blush. He leaves a few kitten licks to your clit and then dips his tongue inside you. The action drew a moan from you and he groaned at the feeling of you clenching around his tongue. The vibrations had your heart beating even faster.
He latched his lips around your clit, gently sucking as his teeth grazed you ever so softly. This goes on for a little while, and the familiar feeling of a knot tightening in your stomach began.
He leans away for a bit of air and he catches the way you are repeatedly clenching around nothing. He sticks his middle finger in his mouth, pulling off the ring and spitting it to the side. The sight was erotic.
He dives back in, sucking on your clit while licking when he slowly pushes his wet finger into your hole, the stretch feeling indescribably good to you. He experimentally curls his finger and you nearly scream when he hits that spot, hands diving to his hair. You can feel his simper and he continues his ministrations. He looks up to see the labored rise and fall of your tummy.
"Shit, shit." You pant as the knot tightens more and more, threatening to snap. Eddie adds his ring finger and that is enough to push you over the edge, your legs snapping around his head while a loud moan escapes you. Your entire body trembles, and he doesn't mind the pressure to the sides of his head. He could die happy between your thighs.
Once you'd ridden out your high and your legs relaxed, he kissed your heat one last time before pulling his fingers out. You whine, hating the empty feeling. At least you knew it wouldn't last long.
Your eyes widen at the sight of Eddie's cute face covered in your wetness, a pleased smile on his face. He reaches your face and kisses you, the faint taste of yourself present in his mouth.
"That was... the hottest thing ever." He mumbles as you gently wipe his face. In response, you grind up to his bulge, the denim providing a deliciously rough texture to your sensitive core. He groans into your ear and the sound makes your whole body feel hot.
"Are you sure, sweetheart? We can stop, no questions asked." He asks for your consent again and worries you may feel uncomfortable.
"Of course I'm sure. I love you." He lights up like a christmas tree and nods.
"I love you too. More than anything." he mumbles the last of his sentence into your neck as he begins to grind down his hips against yours. You get impatient and reach for his belt buckle, your giddy hands fumbling with it until you can get to unbutton his jeans and pull both them and his underwear off. He was bigger than you thought, and your breath turns nervous. Eddie can hear it. So, he caresses your face and you can see the strong emotion in his deep eyes.
"I'm serious. No questions asked." He repeats.
"And I'm serious. I want you." You reassure and kiss him for the thousandth time that night.
"I just didn't expect you to be so big, you rascal. You were hiding that from me for this long?" He laughs and shrugs his shoulders with a flustered look on his face.
"It's all yours now princess." you giggle and pull him in while you reach down and stroke him a few times before giving him the sign you were ready. He couldn't believe your cute hands were doing something so dirty. He reaches to the pillow next to yours and pulls a condom from underneath it, earning a sly smirk from you and a coy look from him.
He moans quietly when he pushes into you and presses a kiss to your forehead when he sees your face scrunch up. The stretch was much better than his fingers. He stills and lets you adjust for a moment before you beg him to move, to which he teased you for being so desperate.
His thrusts are slow and deep, passionate. You can feel his love pouring into you with each snap of his hips.
"Fuck, you feel so good. So tight." He says in such a seductive tone that it makes you moan out loud. He loves when you do that. When you lose control, show yourself unfiltered. He thought it was the sexiest thing you could do. And lucky for him, you'd keep doing it.
The closer you got to cumming again the more you lost your composure. You'd started meeting his thrusts, making him go even deeper and hit the spots you could never get on your own.
Your whimpers were his new favorite song, and that's saying something. Beating Black Sabbath? You were really something to him.
And then you started pulling on his hair, and he knew he wasn't going to last long. He was clenching his jaw, trying to keep his noises in, but it only worked for so long. Soon he was moaning and groaning into your ear. It only turned you on more (if that was even possible) and you wrapped your legs around him.
His eyes were darting from your bouncing tits under his hellfire shirt and you face that was contorting in pleasure.
You felt the knot start to snap again and you told eddie between your breaths. You came again, your body spasming and tightening around him. The clench of your walls was enough to bring him there too, and his abs tensed and the grip he had on the pillow behind you tightened when he released with a deep groan. He stayed still for a moment, the only sound being the remanence of your moans, now soft whimpers, and the heavy breathing of Eddie.
"Fuck. I have never cum so hard in my life." He confesses with a chuckle, pulling out of you gently and rolling to your side.
"You okay?" He turns to you and asks. You smile.
"Never better, handsome." He loved when you called him that. He kissed your shoulder.
Eventually Eddie got up and cleaned you both up before insisting you drink a glass of water. You both fell asleep fast after that. His head in your chest, hugging you, you playing with his hair.

"Stevie, I am begging you, please don't tell Wayne."
Eddie was bleeding.
He was on the floor and he was bleeding.
Steve was standing in the doorway, shocked into silence, watching Eddie try to put pressure on a wound that should have mostly scarred over by now.
His last checkup had been good, they'd even said the stitches could come out on his next visit, and he could officially start physical therapy.
So why was he fucking bleeding?
"Dammit. Can you grab a wrap from my room?" Eddie asked him, tone entirely too calm.
"Shouldn't I take you to the hospital?" Steve managed to ask.
Eddie's head turned to him, eyes widening as he seemed to realized what was happening.
"No, I- this is kinda normal? It's happened a couple times," he tried to smile, shrug it off.
"A couple of times?! Eds, this isn't normal. They gotta stitch you up better or something, c'mon I can take you," Steve leaned in and tugged on the arm he was using to hold himself up, ready to take his weight and help him out the door.
"No!" Eddie sighed. "We can't."
"I can call Wayne, then, and he can come get you-"
"Stevie, I am begging you, please don't tell Wayne."
Steve froze.
How long had Eddie been hiding how bad this was?
"You haven't even told Wayne? Eds, you should be mostly healed. You were mostly healed at your last visit! What's happening?" Steve was doing his best to stay calm, but calm went out the window when he thought about Eddie being taken from them long after the threat was gone.
"I ripped a stitch a few days ago, so I've just tried to be careful, but sometimes I move wrong. It'll stop bleeding in a minute. It looks worse than it is," his eyes were pleading for Steve to just drop it, let him handle it on his own.
But Steve was not about to let something go wrong, not when it came to Eddie.
"I'm taking you to the hospital. I'm calling Wayne. You can hate me if you want, but I'd rather that than have to tell Dustin that you bled out on your fuckin' bathroom floor." Steve put his hand over Eddie's on his side, applying more pressure. "Can't believe you ripped your stitches and didn't tell anyone."
"I was handling it!"
"Poorly. Handling it poorly."
Eddie huffed, but surprisingly didn't argue further.
He actually stayed quiet for most of the ride to the ER, even kept his gaze lowered when Wayne walked into the room he was being stitched back up in.
He remained silent on the ride home, preferring to ride with Steve while Wayne followed behind in his truck.
He didn't wait for either of them before making his way to his bedroom.
"Thanks for callin'," Wayne said to Steve as he watched Eddie close the front door behind him. "You can head out, I'll stay with him until the kids come by tomorrow."
"If it's alright, I think I'd like to stay," Steve hesitantly replied. "I'll take the couch. Just don't wanna be too far."
Wayne looked him up and down, much like he'd done the first night Steve refused to leave Eddie's side in the hospital.
Whatever he found, he seemed to accept, smiling at Steve.
"Might as well stay in his bed. Gotta keep a close eye on that one," Wayne winked and walked inside without an answer from Steve.
A close eye was really all Steve had intended, but of course, when they woke up tangled together the next morning, his intentions started to shift.
They shifted more when Eddie, half-asleep and on some minor pain meds, pressed a soft kiss to Steve's chest before falling back asleep.

I could have done anything with this line and I chose dramatics. Happy Tuesday.
ATTENTION: I reached 5! This is 1/5 and the rest will probably be posted throughout today.

Eddie and Steve were in the RV chatting while the others were in the field. Eddie, his hands over his face.
"Dude, we're going to make it out of this," Steve said slapping the table in front of Eddie.
"Yeah, the day we make it out of this is the day a jock tattoos my name on their ass," Eddie snorted, and Steve couldn't help but laugh with him.
A month later, Eddie was hiding out at Steve's again with Robin as they talked about Vickie.
"Question," Eddie said, interrupting her for a minute. "Why aren't you sitting down, big boy?"
"Yeah, I asked him that earlier," Robin said, narrowing her eyes at Steve. "But he wouldn't tell me."
"It's just a little sore, okay?" Steve blushed.
"Who the hell have you been doing anal with?" Robin asked wide eyes. "We're all out to each other, so I think you would have told me if you and - "
"Oh my god!" Steve said quickly. "No, it's not that either!"
"Oh my god!" Eddie exclaimed with wide eyes. "You didn't!"
"Well, I am a jock, and we did make it out," Steve replied.
"Let me fucking see!" Eddie exclaimed, slapping his knee.
"Robin, you might want to leave," Steve sighed.
"Fuck no! I've seen worse! What's on your ass, Steve?" Robin asked.
"Fine, Goddamnit," Steve muttered, and Eddie cackled gleefully, clapping his hands.
Steve pulled his pants down and pulled his boxers back to reveal Eddie Munson tattooed on his right butt cheek.
"Why?!" Robin asked with wide eyes.
"In the RV, Eddie said that the day we make it out of this is the day a jock tattooed his name on their butt," Steve shrugged. "We made it out."
"You know that's permanent, right?" Robin asked. "You have Eddie's name tattooed permanently on your ass?"
"I guess that means this ass belongs to me," Eddie said and yanked him backward into his lap, causing Steve to yelp.
"Eddie, I'm still healing!" Steve exclaimed as he pulled his pants up.
Eddie shifted until he was only sitting on one cheek but still in his lap.
"This is my que to leave," Robin said and then cursed as she started to leave. "Damn, I thought it would take you longer to pull your heads out of your asses!"
"Pretty sure, she just lost a bet with herself," Steve replied as he wrapped his arms around Eddie's neck.
"So," Eddie said, looking at him hopefully. "Does it mean that your ass belongs to me? I mean, not like belong as in - you know belong but you know, that you want what I want and what I want is you."
"I want you too," Steve said and kissed him.
Eddie giggled against his lips and broke the kiss to press kisses all over his face. Steve laughed. Eddie nuzzled his nose against Steve’s neck.
"You know what this means?" Eddie asked.
"What?"
"I have to get your name tattooed on my ass," Eddie grinned.
"Oh, I can't wait to see that," Steve said.
Steve leaned in and kissed him again, pressing him back against the sofa. Eddie slid his hands up Steve’s waist, one hand heading towards his chest as he kissed him eagerly. Suddenly, Steve pulled back and slapped his hand away.
"Why?"
"Going for the boob grab?" He asked and shook his head. "Naughty. You haven't even offered to buy me dinner. What kind of guy do you think I am?"
"You going to make me work for it, sweetheart?" Eddie asked.
"Hell yes," Steve scoffed. "I mean, I think that I'm definitely worth it. I did put your name on my ass so. . ."
"Fair point," he said, and then his voice softened considerably. "You are so fucking worth it. Hmm, maybe I should place my tattoo right here."
He grabbed Steve’s hand and placed it on his chest, right over his heart. Steve bit his lip, smiling bashfully. He gazed into Eddie's eyes, sighing in complete contentment. Steve let out a scoff.
"Yeah, no, and make me look like a dirty bird with my tattoo?" Steve asked. "No, you're getting it on your ass too."
"Whatever my baby wants, my baby gets," Eddie grinned.

ooo can i suggest prompt six? "Did you lie to me?" hehe
Thanks for sending a prompt, Nonny! It's my daily ficlet for today!
Daily Ficlet 6
Steve's never been a secret before. He's too likeable (or hateable) for that. He's never had to hide a relationship before because what girl wouldn't want to be with him? All his friendships are well known, or were, back when he was in high school. There weren't even secret rivalries!
So, it's an adjustment, keeping this thing with Eddie a secret. But he's trying. Even though all he wants to do is hold his hand every hour of every day he refrains because. Because?
Well, he's not really full on those details. He knows it's partially because Eddie isn't out to anyone in the group except Steve. He's not even out to Robin, and Steve thought for sure they'd figure each other out and bond over it but that hasn't happened yet. Eddie's also said something about keeping it to themselves so they can just be themselves, together, without other people. When Eddie had whispered that it had sounded so sweet and romantic. But that was, like, two months ago and it's.... it's still romantic, but Steve wants to ramble about how beautiful Eddie is to Robin.
Also! This secret keeping is causing Robin to worry! He can't keep secrets from Robin, he never has. He told Robin he thought he might like guys exactly 0.4 seconds after he'd realized it! In fact, he's so bad at secret keeping that he's told her he has a boyfriend. Won't say who, and Robin won't push. All he had to say was his boyfriend wasn't ready to come out and that was that.
He's out to the Party, too. Mostly as an accidental outing he didn't back down from even when Will offered him an out with his quick thinking. Jonathan knows, too. That was an on-purpose telling after Will came out to Steve when they were finally alone, and Steve learned Jonathan knew about Will.
Anyway. Steve's never been a secret before. He doesn't want to continue being one. He just wants Eddie's permission to tell Robin. He'll be fine with waiting even if Eddie says he's not ready for Robin to know, of course, but he just. He wants Robin to know who the amazing person he rants about is.
So, imagine his surprise when, halfway down the stairs to the basement at Eddie and Wayne's new house to talk to Eddie about telling Robin, he hears his name.
"-because it's Steve Harrington, y'know?" Gareth's voice floats up the stairs to Steve and he freezes. Is Gareth a goddman psychic!? How did he know Steve was here?
"That's your reasoning? Because it's Steve?" Eddie asks, and oh. They don't know he's here. They're talking about him. Steve should make himself known. He shouldn't just stand here and listen. But. Well, if Eddie's finally telling his friends about them, he kinda wants to hear it. Want to hear Eddie spill the secret so they can quit being so secretive.
"Well, yeah. You're the one who's always saying people don't change. Did you lie to me? To us? Has Steve changed?" That's Jeff's voice, and his questions make Steve gut twist. But Eddie's not Nancy. He's not- they aren't bullshit. Eddie knows that. He'll defend Steve. He'll tell them the truth. There's silence, though. Eddie doesn't defend him.
"What's with the silence?" Frankie asks, when Eddie's been quiet too long. Funny, Steve wanted to ask the same thing.
"I'm trying to not snap at you all," Eddie says, and he sounds angry. "I get that you guys might still be hesitant or whatever, but you don't get to come here and throw accusations when you haven't even tried to be friends with him! This is why I don't invite him to come hang out with us! 'Cause you can be a bunch of dicks sometimes!"
Steve feels a warmth bloom inside him. He knew Eddie would defend him, he did. It's just hard to believe sometimes, and he's not going to make that Eddie's problem. But hearing it. Hearing that Eddie does defend him even when he doesn't know Steve's around to hear it. Fuck, it makes him want to kiss Eddie so bad.
"Hey, man, I'm sorry," Jeff says, "you're right. We are being dicks, and pretty standoffish with Steve. We aren't giving him a fair chance."
"You're not!" Eddie agrees aggressively. "Even if he wasn't my b- my friend, he's still the reason I'm even fucking alive. So, respect that at least."
Steve stands at the midpoint of the stairs until the conversation turns to a different topic before he tiptoes back to the top of the steps to turn around and thunder down the stairs loudly, giving everyone in the basement a warning to his arrival.
He'll tell a lie, that he was driving around because he was bored and thought to stop and see what Eddie was up to, and get invited to stay and hang out. Eddie's friends are more open with him than they usually are and Steve doesn't waste the opportunity to try and really engage with them, get to know them.
He can be a secret just a little longer, he supposes, when he looks away from Jeff and catches Eddie staring at him with the same adoration he sees on Eddie's face when they're alone. And judging by the almost slip up earlier, Eddie might be getting closer to not being a secret, too.

reunions — steve harrington
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: steve x hopper!fem!reader
summary: during spring break of 86, y/n hopper flies back to hawkins indiana (dustin's request) and isn't surprised when dustin tells her the world might end again.
warnings: bit of angst (ends with fluff), use of y/n and she/her pronouns, a couple curse words
a/n: for my love :) @keerysbrowneyes
。゚•┈୨♡୧┈• 。゚
getting a call from dustin henderson was probably the last thing that y/n thought would persaude her to go back to hawkins after her father died.
after a pretty normal sounding phone call, dustin told y/n that a curse was back in hawkins. y/n knew that could only mean one thing, which explains why she was quick to find a taxi in the busy indiana airport.
the ride to the henderson household was quick, maybe twenty minutes, and y/n knocked harshly on the faded door.
the freshman with a curly head of hair and a baseball cap was the one to open the door, and y/n's worries subsided slightly as dustin smiled up at the girl.
"y/n!" dustin exclaims, before pulling her in for a hug, which y/n gladly agrees to. "i can't believe you're here!"
y/n chuckles, "well yeah, you called, why wouldn't i be here?"
after saying hi to claudia henderson, and petting the new cat of the household, y/n was sat on dustin's bed as he explained to her everything eddie munson told him the previous night.
"so what are we doing about it now?" y/n asks, once she takes in all the new information.
"steve's going to pick us up in," dustin pauses to look at his watch, "four minutes."
y/n's voice is softer than before and her heart beats faster in her chest, "steve's still helping?"
"yeah he is, why?" dustin's oblivious as he's packing multiple things in his backpack.
y/n and steve didn't leave each other on a bad note after the mind flayer situation from the fourth of july the year prior. the pair just haven't talked much since the byer'd moved to california.
dustin and max were really the only two to call the older hopper from time to time.
just as dustin said, four and a half minutes pass and steve's horn could be heard from outside the henderson house. y/n and dustin head to his bedroom door, but dustin stands in front of the girl.
"maybe you should stay here," dustin suggested.
y/n tilted her head in confusion, "weren't you the one who called me and asked me to fly out here to help you again?"
dustin nodded, "well uh- yes, but no one else knows your here. plus we're getting food for eddie right now. i promise after we can pick you up."
y/n thinks for a moment, and dustin's puppy dog eyes aren't helping her situation.
with an eye roll from the girl, she agrees, "fine, but you better come back after you deal with eddie."
with a quick goodbye, dustin's fast to neet steve, lucas, max and robin by the familiar red bmw. steve asks dustin what took him so long, and he just brushed it off by asking which store they were getting food at.
。゚•┈୨♡୧┈• 。゚
an hour and thirteen minutes pass, and y/n couldn't be more bored out of her mind. she was able to help claudia bake cookies, clean dustin's very crowded desk, and halfway solve a rubix cube. dustin barged back into his room, making y/n jump from the sudden noise.
"come on y/n! we don't have any time to lose!" dustin practically yelled. "i had to beg steve to come back here since the others are back at the trailer park."
y/n was quick to grab her jacket off dustin's bed and followed him out the door.
steve looked to his passenger side door once he heard it open, but was slightly confused once dustin wasn't the one in the front seat.
"y/n?" steve questions, his eyes as wide as they could be while y/n and dustin were fastening their seat belts.
"hi steve," y/n smiles and catches her breath from the previous running.
dustin pipes up from the backseat, "lovebirds, we don't have time to chat right now. drive steve!"
steve and y/n both ignore dustin's remark as steve pulls out of the henderson's driveway. the drive to back to the trailer park is silent besides the tears for fears song playing on the radio.
the only thought going on in steve's mind is why the hell y/n hopper is in his car. he took notice of the familiar flannel he's seen jonathan wear many times from the past three years, and the faded ac/dc shirt steve recognized from his own closet. how y/n stole it in the first place? steve couldn't question that right now.
after steve parks besides the table with the four other familiar faces y/n missed, steve pulls dustin aside.
"what is y/n doing here?" steve asks.
dustin shrugs, "we need all the help we can get steve, and she's joyce's favorite so of course she was able to come back here in such last minute."
steve's demeaner changes once he turns and sees y/n in a group hug with lucas, max, robin and nancy.
"i can tell you don't totally hate her being here," dustin smirks up at steve.
"hey, no!" steve's quick to dismiss dustin's idea, "okay it's not like that henderson."
dustin laughs and shrugs, "like what?"
steve just watches dustin walk over to the table, and after a moment the harrington boy follows suit.
as everyone sat at the table tries to figure out what's going on in hawkins, steve can't help but look at y/n. of course he's missed her, how can he not? he's kicked himself in the ass everyday for not calling her like he promised. as dustin's in the middle of explaining something to max, steve stands and grabs y/n's wrist.
"can we talk?" he whispers, and is grateful once y/n nods in response. the two walks over to his car and y/n leans against the side while steve paces back and forth.
"why do you seem so worked up?" y/n asks him.
"oh i don't know, maybe because it's another year with this stupid upside down shit. maybe it's because this year's even more stressful than the last. maybe it's because my parents haven't been home in six months. or maybe it's because you're here, and i can't see you getting hurt again from all of this."
steve finishes his rant and runs his fingers thorugh his hair. y/n's gaze softens at the state of the boy in front of her. y/n knew what steve meant by the last statement. steve was the only one able to keep her grounded once she found out hopper was dead, and that she was moving to california.
"steve," y/n voice is soft, in comparison to steve's quick rant. "are you okay?"
the boy's quick to shake his head, "no- no shit i'm not okay." he holds his head in his hands as he leans besides y/n against his car. y/n moves her arm to his shoulder as she stands in front of him.
"the only reason i'm glad you're here is because you're the only one who knows how to deal with me like this," steve gestures to himself. y/n also knew what he meant by this.
after every incident with the upside down, y/n and steve were always in y/n's room as they both calmed down from the events that happened.
"do you want a hug?" y/n asks, while holding her arms open.
steve nods before wiping any tears that could've fallen from his rambling and heavy breathing, and his shoulders instantly relaxed at the feeling of y/n in his arms again.
y/n took in the all too familiar scent of steve. she's missed him, everything about him. his smile, his kindness towards the kids, his hair, his jokes, did she mention his smile?
the two slightly pulled away, but didn't let go of each other.
"i'm sorry i didn't call you a lot since you moved," steve talked softly.
y/n shook her head, "steve you don't have to be sorry about that."
"no, i do have to be sorry y/n. i've been a complete dick to you since you left. i- i didn't call you like i promised. i wasn't able to comfort you when you probably needed it. i've basically ign-"
steve's words were cut off by y/n leaning up and kissing him. once she noticed he wasn't kissing back, she pulled away with a hint of concern filling her eyes.
"you kissed me," steve points out.
y/n nods, her hands not leaving steve's arms, "i uh- i did."
"why?"
"i know it um- calmed you down before. so i thought maybe to try it again. god, i'm sorry. i don't even know if you wanted it," y/n pulls away from steve, as a million thoughts fill her mind, "you could have a girlfriend. you might not even like me anymore like that. shit, i'm sorry."
y/n stops her rambling once she feels steve grab both of her arms, making her face him again after she started pacing back and forth.
"who says i didn't want it?" steve says softly, before pulling y/n back towards him as he's the one to kiss her on the lips.
y/n immediately melts into steve's arms. the pair couldn't care less about the stares and whistles they were getting from the others still sat at the wooden picnic table. steve only flashed his middle finger towards the group before running his hand through y/n's hair.
"as much as i don't want to pull away, we kind of need air," steve chuckles. he lips over his lightly swolen lips as y/n fixes her hair.
"are you guys done sucking face? we have an actual interdimensional being we have to fight," dustin has his hands on his hips, making y/n and steve laugh from their place besides steve's car.
"guess we should get back to them now?" y/n questions.
"mm, just one more," steve pulls y/n in for another kiss, to which the girl happily obliges to.

Link to part five
Part six
Steve sits in the Beemer squeezing the steering wheel so hard his knuckles are white. He can't make himself let go.
He also can't seem to make himself leave.
His mate is in there. His mate who is carrying their pup. Steve's pup.
He can't leave.
It's a good ten minutes of Steve feeling like the world is collapsing in on him before the door swings open, and Wayne comes out, holding two beers. He opens the door and climbs in, sitting in the passenger seat, handing a beer to Steve, who takes it reflexively. He's pretty sure he doesn't actually want it. But Wayne chinks the necks of the bottles together in toast and says, "congratulations."
Steve starts laughing, it's a bit hysterical and it takes a few minutes before he can make himself stop. He does drink the beer.
"He told you?"
Wayne chuckles, "nah, of course he didn't. Clocked the positive test just sitting in the trash, but that boy hasn't thought more than thirty seconds ahead even one time in his life."
They sit in comfortable silence for a while before Steve admits, "I'm so angry with him."
"Think you've a right to that."
"I'm not leaving him."
"Didn't think you would."
They sit together, ten more minutes of silence between them before Steve admits, "I feel like he's stolen it from me...not the pup," Steve elaborates as Wayne raises an eyebrow at him, "the chance to do this properly. The chance to court him, mate him. Have a nice nest ready, a home together...and then pups. I still want it he's just...taken away my chance to do it all properly, I guess."
Wayne hums agreeably.
Steve sighs, "I should go in."
"Reckon." Wayne agrees stoically.
Steve had bought Eddie a spinning wool thing with a handle as a courting gift. Eddie had been so happy with it, something he wanted to organise all his balls of wool into...more square balls. Steve didn't understand it, but Eddie had been so happy he'd spent an hour playing with it and organising his small yarn collection while Steve watched, puffed up and proud his Omega was happy.
Eddie had smelled so much better since his heat, so much more like home and mate...and Steve just figured it was because Eddie was doing better.
Now he knows the real reason he's scenting so appealing; the pup.

Eddie hides deeper in his nest. Whatever that thing was that he lost when his Omega went to ground, well, it's been back since his heat. It's been back ten fold. Eddie had never nested in his life, now? Now if Hawkins held some sort of nesting championships, Eddie would have won it three times this week.
He knew, knew for certain before he bothered to piss on a stick that he'd caught. He knew it was early to show, but his usually almost concave stomach was...not that anymore. He was eating more, some instinct driving him. He was tidying the trailer; sorting things he'd never bothered or cared about before.
So he'd known. Known before those pink lines had appeared on the test.
And Steve. Steve who is courting the hell out of him. Steve who nuzzles him and scents him and brings him home made cookies and pasta and meatballs. Steve who buys him things and holds him close and, even though they haven't done anything more than kiss a little since Eddie's heat, is happy to run gentle hands across Eddie when they nap.
Steve who had innocently investigated that oh so subtle curve to Eddie's stomach. Steve who didn't even question that there was something there until he caught what must have been a horrified, guilty look on Eddie's face. Eddie who had stammered out an apology, like an idiot.
He should have just told him.
He should have come clean, right at the beginning. But Eddie was harbouring a guilty fantasy where he gets to keep his pup and Steve, and he wasn't quite ready to loose it just yet.
He hears the trailer door from where he's buried in his nest. He hears his bedroom door and opens his mouth to tell Wayne to go away, but it's Steve who speaks, "we will be talking about this in the morning."
And then the mattress dips, the blankets shift, and Eddie is pulled into Steve's arms, Steve's hand resting delicately over Eddie's belly button.

"What about that one?" You pointed over to a rather tall, very wide Christmas tree.
"Uhhh, babe, I don't think our ceilings are tall enough for that one." Eddie frowns. He hated telling you no, but there was no possible way to get to that thing in his van, let alone in your trailer.
He squeezes your gloved hand, bringing it up to his lips for a kiss. "C'mon, let's keep looking."
"Okay." You smiled softly at him.
You gasped, what about this one?"
"Sweetheart, look at the size of that thing it's like two of my vans put together." Eddie shook his head.
You and him continue walking hand in hand, searching for the perfect Christmas tree. This was going to be your official Christmas together in your own home. You needed the best tree you could find. You had a specific vision, and you were not going to let anyone ruin it.
Tall, fluffy tree decorated with red and gold bulbs. Warm lights and a pretty star on the top with a velvet red skirt at the bottom. Gifts tucked all around it for friends and family.
Letting go of his hand, you make a bee line for another tree. It was large. Very large. Eddies eyes widened at the size of it. The thing must have been at least way above seven feet tall.
Do you remember where you lived? It's not like living in a trailer was a new concept to you. He thought to himself. You both grew up in one. You should know how low the ceilings are. That tree is not fitting at all. Even if it could fit, it's not make it through your front door.
"Uhh baby, that's too tall." Eddie said, eyeing it up and down.
"Pleeeeaase." You fake a pout knowing it was getting more and more difficult for him to tell you no.
"Waaay too tall." He's not caving. He physically can't no matter how hard it becomes.
Your face falls. "You think?"
"Yep, unfortunately." He sighed.
Eddie isn't surprised by your enthusiasm, though. Christmas has always brought out this child like happiness in you. Maybe it was because everyone just seemed so giving and thoughtful around this time. Or because you got a wave of nostalgia anytime a Santa commercial came on the tv. You always told him he reminded you of your step dad.
Even those little frosted Christmas cookies that had too icing and tasted like cardboard that you loved so much. Whatever was in the air around this time, Eddie wishes it never went away. Seeing your face light up at the pretty lights on people's houses was worth more than any gift.
"Take a look at this one." He rushes over to a tree that resembles something straight from the Charlie brown Christmas special.
"Umm, it's nice, but it's a little....bald." You swallow hard, trying your best not to hurt his feelings.
Eddie looks it over again. "Hmm, I guess you're right."
You grab his hand and take him down another row. The trees all started to look the same after a while. They were either too tall. Too wide. Sometimes even both. You were starting to get down on yourself. You haven't found the one yet, and Christmas was already five weeks away. Eddie can tell you're starting to get discouraged.
It was getting colder outside the more the sun sets. You and Eddie have been out here for more than three hours now. Your hands felt like popsicles. Your cheeks and lips chapped.
"M'cold." Your whole body shivers next to his.
Eddie looks over to you, worry etched on his face. "Here, take my coat."
"But what about you?" You tried to argue. The freezing air turning you into a shakey chihuahua.
"Don't worry, this doesn't bother me too much." He waves a hand around.
You sniffle. "Kay... JUST for a little while, then you take it back. "
"Yes, ma'am." Eddie removes his coat, wrapping it around your frame. The inside was nice at toasty from his body heat.
Eddie pulls into his side, keeping you snuggled to him. You walk down row after row, not really finding much luck. Your eyes water from the freezing gusts of wind. Eddie, on the other hand, seems unbothered.
"Sweetheart, what about that one?" Eddie pointed to a tree just up a head.
It was large but not too big. Fluffy and was just the right size to fit in your trailer and his van.
Eddie jogs over with you in tow. Puffs of breath visible in the cold air. He stands next to it, leaning it up so you can get a better look.
"It's perfect, huh?" He looks to you and back at the tree.
"It's perfect!" You cheer a smile spreading across your once sulken face.
Eddie calls the man over who's selling the trees to give him cash. The gentleman even helped your boyfriend load it up in his van, so you didn't have to.
"Ready to get her all set up?" He asked, starting the engine.
You nod enthusiastically. "Yep, and don't forget you're putting on the topper."
"How could I forget... you've mentioned it since before Halloween." Eddie joked, leaning over to give your cheek a quick kiss before pulling off.
After you and Eddie got back home, he had Wayne come over to help unload your tree and put in the living room. You busied yourself running around your home, gathering all the decorations you bought. You didn't realize how much you had until it was all laid out in front of you. You counted about nine boxed of Christmas ornaments. Two different types of tree toppers and a ton of lights.
"Someone got excited." Eddie walked over to look at everything you purchased over the course of the month.
"Oops." You chuckled.
He pulls you in tight, wrapping his arms around you. You rest your head against his chest, listening to his heart beating.
"Havin fun?" Eddie murmured, swaying you in his arms. You felt like home to him. Something he never really had or ever thought he could experience. But he knew it the very first time he laid eyes on you. Your warm smile and bright eyes.
The moment he first met you, he knew you were special. You had just moved to Hawkins a year after you both graduated. He still recalls the first moment he met you. You were having some car troubles, and he took the opportunity to not only help you but strike up a conversation.
He pulls back, walking over to the ornaments "baby these all look the same."
"Did ya accidentally buy the same ones?"
"They're not the same, Ed." You roll your eyes playfully. Of course, he would think they all looked identical.
"These are burgundy, and these are maroon." You pointed at the various boxes filled with glass bulbs.
Eddie quirks an eyebrow. "Uhh they're all red to me."
"Well, they're not they're different." You corrected.
"Whatever you say, this is your the expert anyway." He holds both hands up, backing away slowly.
"Can we bake cookies while we do this?" He asked, going over to plug in the Christmas lights him that Wayne put around the tree.
"Of course." You smile, picking up a box of glass ornaments. "We can make hot chocolate too."
"You know just how to turn me on, huh?" Eddie was extremely playful tonight. More so than usual. Your happy demeanor was infectious, and it was rubbing off on him. He wasn't complaining there was this warm feeling in his chest. He felt safe.
"Eww." You scrunch your face trying to hide a smile.
"Eww?" His jaw drops, and he clutches at his heart.
Eddie always brought the dramatics, but that's why you fell in love with him.
"Wasn't very Eww this morning or this afternoon or before we left to get this tree." Eddie teases walking to hug you from behind.
He lays his head on your shoulder, watching you put the hook through the ornaments. "Won't be very eww tonight either."
"Okay, that's it. Go put this star on the top of the tree." You wriggle out of his hold. You heard him chuckle. He lets you go does as he's told. The rest of the night was spent decorating your Christmas tree and Eddie twirling you around dancing to old records.
The cookies barely got baked since he decided to eat half of the cookie dough. You didn't even have a chance to put it on a baking sheet. You hope he doesn't get a stomach ache tomorrow. He promised to take you Christmas shopping for Wayne. Which should be very interesting since it's going to be you and Eddie doing it together.

The next morning, he and Robin drape themselves over a pair of pool chairs to get their lounge on while Steve works on getting the pool in good enough shape for their upcoming party.
It means watching Steve in nothing but a t-shirt and a pair of cut off shorts, so Eddie's very on board.
Robin scoffs next to him. "I am so glad you got your shit together so I don't have to tiptoe around you drooling right now."
"I'm not drooling!" Eddie insists, though he does wipe his hand over his mouth just to check.
No drool.
"Metaphorically," Robin clarifies, grinning at him. "By all means, oogle away. Just know Steve's probably showing off a little on purpose."
Eddie squints at him, and sure enough - there's probably no need for Steve to be lifting things that often.
"I hate that it's working," Eddie grumbles.
"Of course it's working." Robin rolls her eyes.
Right, of course it is. Eddie's always known that Steve was very attractive - it used to irritate the hell out of him, that he was susceptible to the same allure as the rest of the masses of Hawkins High. The fact that he thought Steve was a douche used to counter it, but, well.
Now he's pretty much in love with the guy.
Eddie leans forward a little, fiddling with some blades of grass by his chair. "Steve's, uh. It's true, right, that he's had a lot of sex with a lot of girls?"
Robin nods. "It's true. He was in a slump when I first met him, but before - well, before you, he was complaining about all his meaningless relationships that were just about sex when he wanted a real connection."
That's… Eddie doesn't know exactly what that is, actually, or how he feels about it. He thinks it should be weird, talking about this when they're both dating Steve, but - it doesn't feel weird, not really. "That doesn't bother you?"
"Does it bother me that he's been with more girls than I can count before I even got my first kiss? Not really. I mean, sure, I guess a little, in an ugh why is it so easy for him and so hard for me, but, you know. We both had our different ways of finding our other soulmate. Apparently neither of them were successful, since the Upside Down brought you to Steve, and I'm still striking out." She pauses, then adds, "Plus he's like really good at eating girls out, so I'm not going to complain about getting to benefit from him demonstrating his technique."
He takes it back, it's weird and uncomfortable and that was way too much information about their sex life.
Whatever face he's making gets her to laugh at him, eyes crinkling.
"Don't worry, it probably translates over decently well. Besides, I've seen him practically deep throat a banana so you're probably good. Oh, has he gotten to do that thing with his tongue yet?"
Eddie squeaks. He's pretty sure his face is bright red, considering how much it's burning, and Robin's laughter turns into a cackle.
Steve overhears the laughter and turns towards them, hip cocked as he squints at them.
"What's so funny?" he calls.
"Just asking Eddie if he's gotten to experience your tongue skills yet!" she calls back.
"Robin!" Steve yelps, dropping the pool net to come over to them.
"What?" she asks. "Weren't you the one who was whining at me about how you wanted to choke on his dick and then eat him out until he cried?"
The blood that had been flooding his cheeks immediately rushes south, and Eddie has to lean over to adjust his pants and try to make that less obvious.
Yes, please, sign him up for all of that.
"In confidence! I told you that in confidence!" Steve sputters.
Eddie leans back, tipping his head up at Steve with a slow smirk. "I'm feeling a little hurt, here, Harrington, how come I haven't gotten a fruit demonstration?"
Steve gapes at him for a moment, just long enough for Eddie to start to regain his footing.
Then Steve's eyes narrow.
"If I was demonstrating for you, Munson, it wouldn't be on fruit," he replies.
Steve turns his back on them and returns to the pool, leaving Eddie to make a protesting noise - that is not a whine, no matter how much he can read that in Robin's eyes while she laughs at him.
"Do I need to shove you in the pool to cool you off?" she teases.
"Shut up," he mutters, adjusting himself again.
Then he tips his head back and closes his eyes, because if he looks at Steve again in the next fifteen minutes or so, he might need to take Robin up on that.
They eat lunch all jammed together on the couch, plates balanced on their laps. Steve's eating with his left hand, because his right hand is holding Eddie's left. Their fingers are laced together, and Steve refuses to let go, and Eddie's pretty sure his cheeks are flushed red, but he's really not going to complain about it.
There's a little bit of sauce on the corner of Steve's lip, and ridiculously, it makes Eddie want to lean in to lick it off.
Fuck, he really wants to kiss him. Is he allowed to kiss him, is that weird? Steve and Robin haven't kissed in front of him, but Eddie kind of figures that's because they knew he had hang ups about the sharing thing.
Ugh, if he wants kissing Steve when they're like this to be on the table, it's probably going to be on him to talk about it.
Eddie clears his throat. "Hey, uh," he starts, but has no idea where to go after that.
Robin makes a little encouraging noise.
"I appreciate you guys holding back on the PDA around me while I figured all this out, but you don't have to anymore," he says.
Steve's eyebrows raise. He looks down, where Robin's toes are shoved under his thigh and he'd been in the middle of eating the olives off of her plate. "I hate to break it to you, Eds, but we haven't been holding back all that much."
"Well, yeah, not for that, but-" Eddie pauses, switching to come at this from another angle. "Not a lot of people know about me. And I'm guessing - not a lot know about Steve?"
Steve nods when Eddie looks at him for confirmation. "Just Robin and you, and Max and Lucas."
Eddie smiles a little. "Same, but Uncle Wayne knows about me."
"Just you and Steve, Max and Lucas for me," Robin adds, which -
Eddie hadn't known that, actually, but it makes him smile brightly at her. It makes it even better, knowing that Robin's in the same boat as him and Steve - that she gets it. "You're the only one who knows about me and Steve, and me and Steve. I don't know how you feel about telling the others who know?"
Steve considers that. "I feel okay," he says finally. "But if we tell Lucas and Max, we have to tell the rest of the party. It's not fair to have them keep that secret."
Eddie doesn't disagree, but - "Table that for now, then. So yeah, just you. And I'd really, really like to just kiss Steve without thinking about it when it's just the three of us, so it'd be really shitty of me if I told you not to."
There's a moment of silence as Robin and Steve look at each other with near identical expressions of confusion.
"Eddie," Robin says after a moment. "I like girls."
Eddie frowns. He thought they just covered that. "Yeah?"
"Only girls," she clarifies.
What.
"But Steve-" he starts.
"Is not a girl," Robin finishes.
"Definitely not a girl," Steve adds.
"Wait, so you - so you're not -" Eddie stammers.
Jesus fucking Christ.
"Oh my God, Eddie, have you thought we were dating this whole time?" Robin shrieks.
"Yes! Of course I did! Look at you!" Eddie gestures at them.
"You said you told him!" Steve hisses at Robin.
"I did!" Robin protests.
"I think I would have remembered that!" Eddie counters.
"We were sitting in the kitchen! I told you that Steve has two soulmates, a platonic," she gestures at herself, the motion just as exaggerated as the word. "And a romantic!" She gestures at Eddie this time.
Eddie closes his eyes, fights the urge to just keep repeating Jesus Christ, and opens them again. "Buckley. I wasn't looking at you while we were talking."
"You weren't - well that's just rude, Munson! What were you so busy staring at that you couldn't pay attention to me in the very important discussion we were having?" Robin demands.
Eddie's eyes cut to Steve.
Her gaze must follow his, because she groans. "Of course you were looking at Steve. See, look at that, another person ignoring me because they're obsessed with you."
Eddie squawks. "I wasn't obsessed with-"
His jaw snaps shut as he realizes that might not be a lie.
Shit.
Steve grins at him, looking just a little bit too smug. "It's okay," he says. "I'm kind of obsessed with you, too."
Robin groans, face planting onto Steve's shoulder. "How did we miss this?"
"I thought we were being so mature," Steve agrees. "So open and communicative."
"In my defense, you two did shower together," Eddie points out.
"Not like that!" Robin says.
"How do you shower together but not like that?" Eddie demands.
Steve shrugs. "The same way you wash someone's hair but not like that?"
Eddie makes a face at him. "Yeah, that doesn't count, I wanted to jump you the whole time."
Steve opens his mouth, then closes it again. "Yeah, okay, me too," he admits. "You kept making these little sounds, I just-"
Eddie waggles his eyebrows. "Keep going, Stevie, you just what?"
"Get sidetracked later," Robin cuts in. "The point is - technically, Steve showered while I was brushing my teeth, and I showered while he was doing his hair care routine. We're soulmates, it's not like it matters what we see."
"But - there was giggling, and smacking, and - other noises," Eddie protests, but it's a weak one now.
Steve shrugs. "My back was all fucked up, man, you know that. Rob was helping me with the bandages."
"And Steve was doing his stupid shower characters," Robin adds, rolling her eyes. "He makes himself a dumb beard out of shaving cream or a stupid hairstyle out of shampoo and does terrible voices, and it's awful and I don't hate it at all."
Eddie - Eddie can imagine that perfectly, actually, and fuck, something so stupid shouldn't make him want so badly, but there it is.
"Stop," he whines. "I'm already in love with you, stop making it worse."
Both Steve and Robin freeze, but it still takes him a moment to realize what he just said.
Oh shit.
Eddie swallows, building up his courage for a moment before he sneaks a look at Steve.
Steve's looking back, just a little bit awestruck. "You love me?"
Eddie can't pull his hand free to fidget with his wrist brace, so he plays with Steve's fingers instead. "Well, yeah. I kind of thought that was obvious."
Then again, apparently some things all three of them thought were obvious were very much not obvious, and he grimaces.
"Yeah," he says. "I really do."
Robin kicks Steve in the thigh, leaning over and snatching their plates out of their laps. "Upstairs, now," she informs them. "I know that look, Steve, and if you're going to make out with him you're not doing it sitting next to me on the couch."
"Upstairs?" Steve asks, and who the hell is Eddie to say no to that?
"Just remember you're supposed to pick Dustin up for patrol in half an hour!" Robin yells up after them. "And I will not be stalling if he walkies asking what's taking you so long!"
"Guess we shouldn't waste any time." Eddie turns to Steve with a smirk, one eyebrow raised, only to find himself pinned to the wall in the upstairs hallway.
Steve crowds in against him, kissing him in short little bursts, like he keeps trying to pull back to say something but can't make himself stop for long.
Eddie doesn't make it easy for him to pull away, chasing him every time he does to kiss him again. He drags his teeth along Steve's bottom lip the next time he pulls back, but this time, Steve actually does stop long enough to speak.
"I love you, too," he pants out against Eddie's lips, the words muffled by how close they are together.
And Eddie - yeah, part of him had known. Like he told Uncle Wayne, it was obvious that Steve cared about him, and it was just as obvious that Steve was really into him.
But mostly knowing about it and hearing it confirmed are two different things, and Eddie surges forward to kiss him again.
Steve presses him back against the wall, one thigh wedged between Eddie's legs - still in those cut off shorts, and if Eddie could bring himself to break the kiss long enough to look down, he's pretty sure he'd get more than a flash of hairy skin. Eddie groans, rolling his hips up so he can at least grind against his thigh.
"Yeah?" Steve asks, before his tongue slides into his mouth at the same time his thigh presses up and up, giving Eddie more friction to rut against.
Which he immediately takes advantage of, grabbing Steve's ass with both hands and holding on as they rock together.
"Wanna make you feel good," Steve says, dropping little biting kisses along the line of Eddie's jaw. "Want you to tell me everything you like."
Eddie huffs out a shaky little laugh. "I, uh. I've never done this before, Stevie."
Steve tips his head back to look at him, brows furrowed for a moment before he seems to get that Eddie means, like, ever.
Despite the fact that he's mostly sure Steve isn't going to make fun of him, his stomach still drops when Steve groans and drops his head down into Eddie's shoulder.
"Steve?" Eddie asks.
"We gotta stop," Steve replies, muffled. "We've only got like twenty minutes left now, and that's really not enough for everything I want to do with you."
Eddie's dick throbs where it's still pressed against Steve's thigh. "It's enough for something, though, come on."
Steve pulls back to look at him. "Eds, your first time is not going to be a quickie in our hallway with Robin downstairs and Dustin waiting on me."
Eddie considers that, then rolls his hips up again, grinning smugly when it makes Steve inhale sharply. "Yeah, I'm pretty okay with that for my first mutual orgasm experience."
Steve makes a face at him, the impact of which is a little ruined by his slightly glazed eyes. "I'm not."
Eddie grunts. "I'm not a girl," he manages to growl out.
Steve looks down between them, where Eddie's still very hard and very pressed into him. "I noticed."
"Then don't treat me like some delicate little virgin," Eddie snaps.
Steve huffs. "It's not like that, it's - fine, why did you tell me, then?"
"What?" Eddie asks, thrown.
"If it's not a big deal, why did you say anything?"
"I… I don't know," Eddie admits. "I just - thought you should be aware, I guess, in case you were expecting something else."
Someone who knew what they were doing.
"Eds," Steve breathes out, tipping his head in to kiss him again. "I'm not expecting anything but you, I promise. Just you, that's all I want."
"That's all?" Eddie asks, and he means it to be teasing, but it comes out a little shaky.
"I want - look, I know it's crap about virginity being special and your first time being perfect and all that, but… it's also not crap."
Eddie raises an eyebrow.
"It's - it should be good, Eddie. You deserve to have something go right. I want to take my time with you, not be thinking about how we have to rush."
Well when Steve puts it like that.
"You're such a romantic," Eddie teases.
Steve's ears go a little pink, but he shrugs. "Yeah, I guess I kind of am."
Eddie pulls him back in for another kiss. "I love you," he whispers against his lips, part because he does and part just to see if he can get Steve all riled up again.
"Not fair," Steve mutters back.
Eddie can't help but laugh a little. "It work?"
"Yes." Steve kisses him again. "But it didn't change my mind."
He steps back, though Eddie's pleased to note that he looks both rumpled and reluctant. Eddie sighs, then reaches out to fix Steve's collar, run his fingers through his hair. Steve does the same for him, and it feels -
Well, pretty fucking good, actually.
They head back downstairs. Robin cheers for them, shouting, "Three minutes to spare!"
Steve rolls his eyes, leans over to kiss the top of her head.
Then he drags Eddie to the front door with him so they can kiss again, long and lingering, before Steve finally heads back out.
Eddie drifts back into the living room to sit down next to Robin again, trying not to look too dazed.
She huffs at him, and it's only then that he realizes this is the first time they've been alone since she told him she was coming back for him.
"You still pissed at me?"
Robin rolls her eyes. "No, you fixed that last night. For the record - it wasn't at you, not really. Steve was miserable, which gets my hackles up. I know, he said he was happy no matter what, but I know him. He would have been hung up on you for ages. Plus, the boy likes sex," she adds matter-of-factly. "It would have been awful dealing with him pining and all pent up from not getting laid."
Eddie snorts.
"What?" Robin asks.
"Nothing," Eddie replies. "Just - I'm really glad we don't have to work out a schedule for both of us having sex with him."
Robin lets out a sound that's some unholy mix between a giggle and a shriek. "Okay, first, thanks for putting that mental image in my brain, I need at least three shots later tonight to get that out. Second - oh my god we would run him ragged, he's pretty insatiable but I'm not sure even he could keep up with the two of us."
Eddie cackles, head tipping back in a laughter there's no way he can contain. "I really love you, Robbie," he says quietly when he's managed to calm down.
Her eyes are soft as she looks at him. "Yeah," she says. "I do, too."
"I can't promise that I won't ever hurt him," he says. "Because, you know, sometimes I get up in my head about stuff, and sometimes I miss things. But I love him. It's always going to be him. I won't - I won't ever leave him, or give up on us."
Robin's quiet for a long time. "You and I aren't really soulmates, you know. I can't tell if you just lied to me."
Eddie knows what his knee-jerk reaction to that is. But he sits with it for a moment, breathes in and breathes out, and then decides knee-jerk was the right reaction. "Yeah, you can."
Robin smiles at him, reaching out to tug on a lock of his hair. "Yeah, I can," she agrees.
He opens his arms, and she hugs him, then shoves him off.
"Come on, Steve left us to do the lunch dishes."
Steve brings home pizza for dinner when he gets done with patrolling.
"Hey, I was thinking - do you want to head out to Forest Hills when we're done?" Steve asks while they eat. "There's not really anyone there anymore, we could see if there's anything left of yours you want to get."
Eddie considers that. Part of him isn't sure he wants to go back there, ever, but the other part kind of feels like he needs to see it. To make it real again, and not just a thing in his nightmares.
So he agrees, and they head out after they clean up dinner - Robin refuses to get stuck with it this time.
It still feels strange, driving around in the front seat of Steve's Bimmer, but mostly a nice strange. They don't pass many cars on the way out there, and Steve's got Trooper's Thick as Thieves album playing quietly, and Eddie can just lean back and alternate looking out the window with looking at the beautiful boy in the driver's seat.
Steve pulls a couple of empty boxes out of the trunk when they get there, and Eddie sees him hesitate over the nail bat that's still in there from his patrol earlier.
"Here," Eddie says, taking the boxes so Steve can grab the bat.
There hasn't been any sign of Vecna or the Upside Down on their patrols yet, but Eddie's pretty sure they'll both feel better if Steve's carrying it.
The trailer is barely holding together, a huge chunk ripped out of the living room, and Eddie swallows back a surge of tears.
He knows they have insurance, knows what Uncle Wayne said about the stuff in the trailer, but - it was the first place that ever really felt like home to Eddie. Even though the home was more about Uncle Wayne himself than the physical trailer, it hurts seeing it like this.
"Hey," Steve says softly. "We don't have to do this tonight, we can wait."
We.
Like it's just a guarantee that whenever Eddie does decide to look through the shattered remains of his life, Steve will be right there with him. No question.
It shouldn't be, but it's still a little bit of a surprise to realize that Eddie believes it.
"No," he says, though he does lean in for a kiss. "I want to get this over with. Come on, let's look in my room."
His room isn't as bad as the living room, but it's still pretty trashed. He gets to work rifling through the debris while Steve hangs out in the doorway, nailbat on one shoulder and keeping an eye on the dormant but still not closed gate in the living room.
Eventually, Eddie manages to find about a couple of boxes worth of clothes, most of his jewelry, some D&D things, a few other odds and ends. It's not a lot, but it's more than Eddie thought he might have, which lifts his spirits a little.
"I can stop borrowing your clothes all the time," Eddie tells Steve.
Steve makes a face like he's trying not to say anything.
"What?" Eddie asks.
"…I kind of like you in my clothes," Steve admits.
Eddie barks out a little laugh, then sets down his box so he can sidle into Steve's space. "Oh yeah?" he asks, cocking one eyebrow. "You want me to wear your letterman jacket?"
Steve tips his head, which Eddie is pretty damn sure means yes, but I don't want to say it.
"Steve Harrington," Eddie teases as he hooks his fingers in the waistband of Steve's jeans and gives it a tug. "You wanna be my boyfriend?"
"I'm your soulmate," Steve replies, rolling his eyes, but he doesn't stop himself from being reeled in.
"You wanna be my boyfriend," Eddie repeats, voice sing song, and steals another kiss.
"You were the one who said you wanted the full Steve Harrington experience," Steve teases back.
"I was joking!" Eddie replies, but he realized the moment he says it that - well, no, he kind of wasn't.
Steve grins widely at him. "No, you weren't," he retorts, with all the confidence of someone who's just felt a new lie being written on them.
Eddie raises his eyebrows at him. "So what are you going to do about it, then?"
Steve leans in to kiss him one more time. "Come on. Let's get out of here first."
And, well, all right, Eddie can't exactly protest that.
He picks up two boxes, leaving Steve to grab the third and his bat, then the two of them head back out of the trailer.
They're not too far from what's left of the front door when the sound of footsteps crunches on the gravel nearby.
It's probably just one of the handful of folks too stubborn to leave Forest Hills, but - it's dark, and Eddie can't see anyone, and he can't help the rush of panic that he feels. It must hit Steve the same way, because when he turns back to look at him, he sees that Steve has gone still, head tilted like he's listening.
The sound of a gun cocking rings out far louder than it should.
"Don't move," Jason Carver says.

rose omg this is so angsty, i planned for this to go one way and then it... evolved... but i promise it's not the last part!! there are a bunch more left!! cw angst, fighting, admissions of guilt, eddie lays everything on the line for princess, breakups
Tumblr media
“Wait,” Eddie said firmly. He sat up, moving you from off of him, and your heart instantly plummeted into your stomach. Had you said the wrong thing? Were the movies right, and you had said it too soon and scared him? “Wait, wait, princess, what did you just say?”
“I-I said I love you,” you mumbled. “‘Cause I do! I love you a lot, Eddie—“
“You don’t love me,” Eddie said quickly. “It’s hardly been a month, a-and you’re just confused. You think you love me because you’re swimming in a soup of emotions right now, I mean, fuck, you just came and now you’re—!”
“I didn’t mean to scare you,” you told him earnestly, grabbing at his arm. “I wanted to tell you the night we went to Stevie’s but I held off, but I’m done holding off! I-I love you, Eddie! I think about you all the time, I always want to be right next to you, I can’t wait to see you every day; isn’t that love?”
Eddie was quiet, watching you with wide eyes. “Yeah,” he whispered. “That’s love. Fuck, you love me, princess.”
“Uh-huh,” you said. “Um… Do you love me?”
“What?” Eddie asked sharply, and you jumped back, your hands falling from his arm as if he had burned you.
"Daddy—" you started, but Eddie shook his head quickly, silencing you without saying a single word.
"Don't call me that," Eddie said. "No, it only makes me... Makes me fall for you harder."
Your whole body went all hot, like melty ice cream, melting down Eddie's arm. "Do you..." you started. "Eddie. Please don't be mean right now."
"I'm not trying to be mean, princess," Eddie told you. "For once, with you, I'm trying to be genuine. I'm not trying to pull one over on you or take advantage of you right now, but I don't know how to be honest with you. But I love how you love me, and it scares the hell out of me because I am so not worthy of your love."
"Yes, you are," you told him. "Da-Eddie, you are so worthy of my love, because you've given me every reason to love you. You're kind to me and you respect me—"
"But I don't," Eddie said quickly. "Baby, you don't get it, I haven't done right by you, since the very first day we met. I've hurt you, in ways that you just don't understand, and I'm not sure you can ever understand—"
"Are you calling me dumb?" you asked. You didn't dare hold back your tears, and you sniffled and wiped your eyes on the back of your hand. "Maybe Nancy was right about you."
"She is," Eddie said, and your heart seized up. You expected a fight, for Eddie to call Nancy a nasty name and try to convince you that he was right and she was wrong, but his lack of fight only made you feel... Empty. "She's totally right about me. I'm no good for you, and you should break up with me right now, before you realize that I'm in love with you too now."
"Are you?" you asked. "Are you in love with me?"
"God, fuck, yes, I am," Eddie told you. "I love you so much, it makes my heart hurt. I do all the same as you described, I think about you all the time and I wonder what you're doing when you're away, and I fucking hate making you cry, I hate that shit so much. But I'm such an awful boyfriend to you, I'm an awful person to you, there's no reason why we should even be together in the first place."
"Eddie," you sobbed. "Please don't say that! I-I only wanna hear about how you love me, please just say it to me. I love you too, Eddie, I love you so much—"
"Stop it," Eddie said quickly. "Stop it, I told you, I'm not worthy—"
"You're not worthy because you've done bad things?" you asked. "I've done bad things too! I lie to my parents and cheat on my homework, and I graduate in a month and I don't know what I wanna do with my life, with college or with a job or anything, but you— You, Eddie! I feel like I have a purpose when I'm with you! I've never had a purpose before, and I like my purpose when I'm with you!"
"This is just what I mean, you don't understand," Eddie said. "You don't get it, because you're so sweet and nice, you're everything good with this world, and I've made you into something horrible. You should hate me for what I've done to you."
"What have you done to me?" you sniffled, crossing your arms over your chest indignantly. "Tell me, if it's so bad."
"I lied to you," Eddie said instantly. "The very first day, I lied to you. I lied to you to get you to show me your tits, because I'm selfish and wanted something, and I knew that I could manipulate you into getting what I wanted. That's all I've ever done to you, is lie to you and manipulate you, just so I can get what I want. I used you, baby, I used you and your innocence and your kindness to get what I want."
"What did you want?" you asked softly, hesitating to even ask. "What did you want from me that you had to lie to get?"
"I wanted you!" Eddie exclaimed. He sighed and stood still for a moment, watching you standing there, still in his shirt, your panties clinging to your hips, your legs still shaking from the beautiful orgasm he had given you, and seeing you standing there in such a state, sobbing with snot flowing from your nose, it only made him sigh again. "I wanted you, baby, and I knew there was no way I could get you if I was honest."
"That's not fair," you whined. "If I can't call you Daddy right now, you can't call me baby or princess or anything!" Your mouth screwed up in anger and the hot bubble of it was slothing in your chest, and you couldn't help the words that burst forth: "This is bullshit!"
Eddie looked wounded. "Baby, don't curse—" he started, but you brandished your finger at him, silencing him.
"I'll curse all I want!" you cried. "Because you made me this way! You used me, Eddie, you used me for your own fucking selfish wants, and you tell me that, but then you tell that you love me, like that makes it all okay? Fuck you, Eddie Munson. Take me home."
"Princess, please—"
"Take me home," you snapped. "Take me home, lose my number, you can tell Steve that I broke up with you because I finally wised up. I bet you guys had a big laugh over how stupid I am, huh?" You sniffled and mopped up your tears, and you bent down to grab your clothes, and you whipped the shirt up over your head. "Don't look at me," you told him, and Eddie sighed, looking away.
"For the record," Eddie said. "It was Steve's idea. Wanting to see your tits that night."
"Is that supposed to make it okay?" you asked. "You still went along with it."
By the time you were dressed again, Eddie had gathered his car keys, and he held the door open for you as you huffed out to his van. You pushed his hand away as you climbed up into the passenger seat, and you shut your own door before you crossed your arms and sulked.
The part that hurt the worst was that you loved him. You loved him with every part of you, every inch of you loved every inch of him, but he had used you. He was selfish and had abused you, and you couldn't find it in your heart to forgive him. The ride was quiet, Eddie taking his time with the drive, and, when you got home, you started to slam the door. "Wait," Eddie said, and he said your name. You couldn't ever recall him using your name once before— you were always his princess, his baby. "I'm sorry. Listen, I'm just sorry, alright? I know you're pissed at me, and you have every right to be, but... Call me if you want to. Okay? I love—"
You shut the door before he could finish.

A Little Closer
Tumblr media
pairing: Steve Harrington/Female Reader
summary: There is a time and place to proclaim your love for somebody, and being injured and trapped in the Upside Down is not one of them.
warnings/extra tags: cursing, reader and steve arguing for no reason, and some kissing tm. >>>SPOILERS FOR ST4<<<, not beta read i edited myself but can't be trusted either.
note: I haven't written an imagine for him in a hot minute, and I say this because I have an ongoing series so check out my masterlist ;) Anyway, I wrote this with a dream my friend had about him in mind (she knows who she is). Thanks in advance for reading and please enjoy!
✧ ✧ ✧
You liked Steve Harrington, a lot. And have since you first met in that junk yard years ago when you were introduced to the creatures of this other dimension they called ‘the Upside Down’
Only then you just liked him, because these days you were pretty sure you were hopelessly in love with the guy. This didn’t mean he couldn’t get on your nerves though, especially when he treated you like you incapable of doing literally anything.
"No, you're not going down there."
Steve's voice was firm as he spoke, his words directed at you as you were starting to unbutton your Hawkins Letterman jacket, preparing to dive into Lover’s Lake and see if this gate was down there like Dustin theorized.
"Says who?" You bit back as you were pulling the jacket off, "Robin said Nancy was in charge, not you, Steve."
"Yeah well, I was the co-captain of the swim team and have had life guard certification for 3 years, so logically, it should be me," Steve stated as he too began to undress starting with his shoes all the while Eddie, Nancy, and Robin just watched. You scoffed at him.
"And I was the Captain of the girls swim and water polo team, and have had my certification for 3 and a half years,” you replied, “Can someone tell me which is better?"
They looked awkwardly at each other until Robin began to speak.
"I mean...technically speaking you both had similar responsibilities as a captain and co-captain, but I mean…” her eyes went to Steve who was looking at her with raised brows, “She doesn't have the co in front of hers and didn't have to share responsibility, and uh…her certification beats yours by half a year…so...I would say hers is better."
Steve shot a look at Robin as he was taking off one shoe as fast as he could.
"Gee. Thanks for taking my side Robin," he told her with a scoff while Robin shrugged and claimed she only said so because you asked, "It's just dangerous alright? There could be a gate down there, or worse Vecna could be there- and I don't think you should-"
"Look, out of everyone here I feel like I've been the most useless, and I'm taking the chance to do my part," you explained briefly, "Let me do this because I can do this."
"I know you can, but that doesn't mean you should-"
“And why not? No matter who goes down there the risks are all the same,” you said tearing your t-shirt off now, leaving you in just a tank top and your Hawkins gym shorts.
Steve was untying his other shoe now, trying not to become distracted by your sudden loss of layers, and argued, “Yes, but I don’t want you to take the risk-”
“So anyone but me can?” You gave him an odd look, one that made Steve shake his head quickly.
“No- No I didn’t say-”
"Okay. Are you two seriously going to argue who gets to swim to a possible underwater gate to another dimension where yet another thing is trying to kill us?" Robin was asking, successfully making you and Steve finally go quiet, “Is this a regular occurrence? Arguing over who gets to do risky shit? Because I think this happened last time too.”
She remembered how when coming up with a plan to infiltrate what they thought to be a simple stock room at Starcourt, Steve argued against pretty much any plan that involved you risking your life. Many valuable minutes were wasted with arguments like this with you two going back and forth.
It was almost embarrassing honestly that Steve didn’t realize how into you he actually was or how into him you were because for everyone else on this boat, and on the shore line, it was pretty obvious and has been for quite some time. This was just more evidence of it.
“No, we’re not arguing because we all already decided I’m going,” Steve said, making you laugh and toss your shirt at him before he could even think about taking his other shoe off. It hit his face and momentarily blinded him.
“We decided? No, you decided. Are you implying this needs to be voted on Steve?”
Steve took your shirt in his hands, and looked back at you, “Well maybe it should be- Robin who do you think-”
“I think the one who is already ready to go should go, you still have one shoe on and she does not,” Robin replied quickly as she was shoving the flashlight in the plastic bag Eddie had handed to her.
Steve groaned, “Are you never going to take my side or something Robin? I’m getting hurt over here.”
You were twisting your neck side to side, a pleasant smile on your lips that Robin chose you, but it hadn’t compared to when Nancy finally spoke up.
“Let her do it," Nancy told Steve, then cringed as her eyes went to yours, "Not because I think you're useless or anything, but I've been to enough swim meets for the paper throughout the year to know she's damn good…and she does hold the Hawkins High record for how long she could hold her breath...she can do it, Steve."
It was always nice to have Nancy Wheeler on your side, especially when it was Steve on the opposite side. He always seemed to listen to her and take her words to heart and while other times in this friendship of yours he seemed to drop everything and listen to her it made you feel a tad bit jealous, this time you felt satisfied.
“And like I said, I know she can, better than me, and certainly better than the rest of you, but what if-”
“Dude I’m about to dive down there just so I don’t have to hear you argue for another minute,” Eddie interrupted for the first time since your argument started, “I mean, I’m not going to, of course, but the fact that I was tempted to says a lot. You just gotta trust your girl, Harrington.”
All eyes went to him besides yours at his statement. You kept your gaze trained on Steve, seeing his expression turn from grumpy to confusion then to what you confused with amusement rather than nervousness.
“What? My girl? She isn’t…” he laughed, and you hated how a small part of your heart cracked, “She isn’t my girl, if anything she’s all of our girl-” he cleared his throat as he realized how weird that sounded, “I mean, she’s nobody’s girl, but definitely, definitely not mine-”
Nancy cringed at Steve’s words, and Robin had rolled her eyes for you while Eddie just raised a brow. You were frowning now, turning away from all them after you snatched the flashlight from Robin with a little too much force. Her eyes snapped to yours, being the only one to see your aggravated expression and understanding why.
While Steve’s concern was appreciated and not exactly unwanted, you were starting to get annoyed with him. Sometimes it really felt like when he was with you and the kids…he just saw you as one of the kids he had to keep an eye on and not as… something else.
Well, he didn’t get to tell you what to do, especially now when everyone was on your side and not his. So, without much of a warning, you dived into Lover's Lake.
The splash of the water had captured their attention, especially Steve’s and when he saw you were no longer in the boat. He cursed and looked over the edge and saw nothing but the darkness of the water.
“Dammit! I should’ve known she’d do that!” he said as he gripped the edge of the boat.
Why did you have to be so reckless sometimes? It seriously stresses Steve out, from you throwing him out of the way from that Demodog and getting smacked by it yourself despite it being your first encounter with one to you flirting with the guards at Starcourt and to now jumping into the lake to see if there’s a gate down there. One obviously was more dangerous than the others, but he wished you would just stop.
He was taking his shirt off now, obviously going to dive and swim down after you until someone's hand hit the back of his head just as he got the shirt off.
“Ow, hey-”
“Don’t be dumb, Steve!” Robin told him, “She’s going to be fine. Nance, how long can she hold her breath?”
Nancy answered, and it was more than a minute longer than Steve could, and it was obvious when he sighed.
“See, we’ll just time her and if she doesn’t come back up then you can valiantly dive in there and rescue her, maybe even give her mouth to mouth since you want to kiss her so bad-” Steve’s eyes widened slightly and he scrunched up his nose.
“Woah what? I never said-”
“Please, it’s obvious, so, so obvious that our new pal Eddie here thought you were together.”
Eddie looked at the both of them, "I thought you were like…an overprotective boyfriend or something with how hard you were trying to take her place.”
“Man, what do you know, you barely got here…”
“I’m just saying, man, I don’t think you would’ve fought that hard if it were one of us,” Eddie stated, making Steve scoff because he wouldn’t even hesitate to do the same with Robin and Nancy at least, but it was the fact that you could very well make this dive better than him was enough to prove to them at least that there was something more to it. And maybe a little to Steve too.
“Oh you don’t even know the half of it,” Robin said while Nancy half-smiled in amusement as she looked down at her watch, being sure to keep track of the amount of time you’re down there, “One time she flirted with a secret Russian guard, and lover boy here looked like he was going to explode-”
“What!” Steve’s cheeks were heating up at the mention of that, “We remember that very differently.”
Sure, he was a little annoyed but not because he thought you were trying to hook up with him, because it was risky. It didn’t matter if it kind of worked…and he was a bit jealous...not explosion jealous, but still in the spectrum of jealous.
“And the way they’re always around each other? We had no room on this boat and Steve insisted she come with…”
“Yeah, it is a little exhausting having to keep you two apart to be honest,” Nancy stated, “We could’ve used her at Pennhurst.”
“Hey, that is different, you guys are making it sound like I tell her what to do or something- first, I didn’t want her to be a babysitter again and second- she wanted to stay behind with me when you went to Pennhurst.”
“And I wonder why that was…” Robin hummed. Steve bit the inside of his cheek, not understanding was Robin was getting at, “You like her Steve, just admit it and things will feel better. I swear.”
Steve sighed, “Okay yeah, so I like her, but she isn't into me and I don't see why it's important right now-"
“Oh Steve, I thought you were a pro at this,” Robin said, and he shot her a little look as she grinned back, “I’m just saying, after all this is done, and your only problem is finding the ‘one’ maybe look at her, yeah?”
Steve swallowed a lump of spit, and laughed, “You’re just trying to mess with me so I'll ask her out and you can laugh when she says no.”
“Am I really that cruel?" Robin questioned, but was met with silence, she scoffed and continued to say, "Like I said, just look a little bit closer.”
Robin was finished speaking then, and Steve shook his head in disbelief before deciding to keep asking Nancy how much time had past.
✧ ✧ ✧
You hadn’t resurfaced yet, and the time you usually could hold your breath underwater was inching closer and closer by the second. Steve was getting nervous, eyes flickering all over the lake to see if you had maybe emerged elsewhere.
Already, he was moving to stand, “That’s it, it’s been too long, I’m going down there-”
“Steve-”
Suddenly, you were bursting out of the water with a loud gasp and splashing water all over everyone. Steve nearly fell over as it was where he was about to dive into. You looked up at him as your vision readjusted and saw him staring at you with relief.
And then he started to speak.
“Were you trying to beat your own record down there? Why did it take you so long? Were you sightseeing or something- I was about to swim down there and-”
“It’s there,” you interrupted him before he could blast more questions your way, “I saw it, Dustin’s right- there is a gate right beneath us.”
Steve went quiet, and the other three all shot shocked looks to one another and Robin quickly relayed the information Dustin on the walkie-talkie.
“It’s really down there?” Nancy asked more so in disbelief. You were nodding.
“Is it snack-sized, or like the one we saw at Starcourt?” Robin asked.
“Definitely not as big as that one was, but still pretty big,” you replied breathlessly as you began to climb up. It was Steve who was offering you his hand, and you ignored the fact that he was no longer wearing that yellow long-sleeved shirt that made you forget for a moment you were annoyed with him.
“That’s insane,” Steve was saying as your hands met. He was about to pull you up when he was suddenly jolting forward and nearly falling into the water. Your eyes had met each other, and it dawned on you that something was wrapped tightly around your ankle and pulled.
In one breath you said frantically, “SteveDon’tLetMeG-”
The rest of your sentence was drowned out by water as you were suddenly submerged once again, but this time it was very much against your will. Whatever that was coiled around your ankle was forcefully dragging you back down to the bottom of the lake.
Your hand had unfortunately slipped from Steve's grasp as you were pulled under, and he was calling your name. He didn't think twice, diving in after you while leaving Robin, Nancy and Eddie behind. In fact, Steve went after you so fast that for a moment they thought he was dragged down with you.
“What the hell was that, man! What the hell was that!” Eddie was shouting.
“What do we do?!” Robin shouted moreso at Nancy because she trusted her with decisions more than herself or Eddie. Nancy was already standing at the edge of the boat, ready to dive in after you and Steve.
It was hard not to panic as you were being dragged further and further from the surface. The water of the lake filled your lungs, and you desperately swung your arms upward in an attempt to swim back up, but it was to no avail.
As fast as you were underwater though, before you could possibly drown, you were suddenly gasping loudly and being dragged across rough terrain. You were shouting, water spilling from you lips.
Just seconds after you were pulled through the gate, Steve was coming through it too. His eyes frantically looked around for you until he heard your shouts. He called out to you, already beginning to run as fast as he could toward you.
You called out to him too, "Steve! Help!"
Your hands desperately tried to grab anything that could anchor you, but everything easily slipped from your grasp. It was only when you hit something particularly large the thing let go of you, and the sudden force of the stop caused you to roll a couple of times before you were burrowed in a bunch of sticky vines.
Steve called out your name again as he was by your side. You were too winded to comprehend what exactly had just happened, your eyes blinking rapidly at Steve and your new surroundings.
You were breathing heavily, gazing up at him with wide eyes as his hands grasped shoulders and making you face him. His eyes flickered all over you, making sure you were okay while asking you if you were hurt.
"I-I don't know, what- wait- where are we?" You said between pants as Steve eyes fell back onto yours. You were moving to stand, and Steve helped you.
After catching your breath with Steve’s arm wrapped firmly around you, you finally had taken in your surroundings. It was Lover’s Lake, yes but not your Lover’s Lake, and there were the same dust-like particles floating all around you.
The terrain was covered with the vines, and the sky was permanently cloudy. What really had you staring in awe was the flashes of red in the distance that came with cracks of loud lightning and thunder.
“Steve…are we?”
You looked at him now, and he was staring at the sky too, “Uh yeah…yeah I’m pretty sure.”
You were in the Upside Down.
✧ ✧ ✧
Steve was mad at you, though you couldn't really understand why. Because after he killed that bat-like creature that once had you by the throat by slamming its body repeatedly on the ground, he wasn't mad then, at least at you.
But, now he was and you thought maybe it had something to do with your newly sprained ankle that you were struggling to walk on. You knew the thing that had dragged you all the way down here was to blame for that.
After being dragged into this god forsaken place, these bat creatures had surrounded attacked the both of you. You were so high on adrenaline that you hadn’t even realized you could barely even walk on your ankle until you were able to catch your breath under Skull Rock.
"You shouldn't have dived down here," Steve said with a shake of his head, "It should've been me putting myself in danger. Not you."
You were leaning against Steve, who insisted despite his own injuries that he'd be the one to help you walk on your faulty ankle.
You rolled your eyes, "Again, it doesn't matter! We're all down here now, trapped and with no way of defending ourselves yet. The only way it changes is you being the one dragged and us coming after you."
"You went before we even properly decided who's going to go, at least you wouldn't be hurt or almost strangled to death-"
You huffed and began to try and move away from him, "You know what, I think I'd rather walk by myself."
Steve scoffed at the idea of that, "I'd hand you to Robin before letting you do that."
For some reason, this made you finally snap.
"Steve, seriously, what the hell is your problem? Why do you always treat me like I'm a kid who’s less than capable of doing literally anything? You treat me worse than you treat Dustin, an actual kid," you claimed in an irritated tone.
Steve seemed taken back by your words, stopping the both of you from walking (you limping) any further.
"Woah hey, I don't treat you like a kid-"
"Yeah well it sure feels like it," you interrupted with a deep frown now, "I just don't get it, do you not trust me or something? Is it because I'm a girl? Because you don't treat Nancy like that, or Robin-"
"What? No! It's not because of that, also I thought I made it pretty clear that I do trust you!" Steve argued back to you. You laughed in his face.
"Pretty clear? We wouldn't be having this lovely conversation if it was 'pretty clear' like you claim," you mocked slightly, Steve frowned too then.
"Well...yeah, I thought it was pretty clear how much I trust you and how much I..." he suddenly paused in his sentence, before sucking in a breath and saying, "...care about you, enough to not want you throwing yourself into danger and getting hurt," he explained, you pressed her lips together as you stared at him, "Seriously, you do it all the time-"
"For the same reason you throw yourself into danger all the time!" You exclaimed, this time loud enough for the other three to hear your back and forth, "I care about you too, maybe more than you actually know, so do you think it doesn't...affect me when you throw yourself into these situations too?"
Your voice was shaking slightly as you recalled him getting into a fight with Hargrove when he tried to attack Lucas, or when he was tortured and drugged up by those Russian soldiers. And how, more recently, you had to listen to his shouts of pain of the bats biting and chewing on his sides, being reminded of how helpless you felt.
Steve paused then, and furrowed his eyebrows.
"It does?"
"Yes Steve, it does because you're my friend. In fact, it terrifies me, Steve, when you do that because I'm also absolutely in love with you," You rambled on, "But I still trust you, you know? I trust that you know what you're doing and you'll just be okay. And I really, really wish you'd do the same for me."
Any words Steve was going to say had been wiped from his mind as he took in what you had just said. It seemed that you hadn't even realized what you said as you stared up at him with your eyebrows taunt and eyes meeting his directly.
'I'm also absolutely in love with you'
Steve's breath hitched gently, wondering if he actually hadn't of heard that and he was delirious from the blood loss.
"Shit, seems like he doesn't have to look closer," Robin muttered to both Nancy and Eddie who watched with raised brows that you'd just admitted that out loud.
"Uh hey, I don't think we have time for this-" Nancy called over to you too but was promptly interrupted by the ground beginning to aggressively shake beneath all of you.
Deep rumbles echoed from all around you as the tremors caused you to fall forward onto Steve. He caught you, but ended up falling backwards and hitting the floor with a thud.
You landed right on top of him with a short yelp, hands clenching the denim jacket Eddie let Steve borrow and your face pressed into his bare chest.
Despite the circumstances, Steve couldn't let go of your confession that he was now sure he actually heard you loud and clear. You were in love with him? Did everyone see it but him? You just had always seem to be this untouchable girl to him, even before you became friends, like you were there but never within reach.
When the floor had finally stopped shaking, you looked up to look at him with wide eyes that probably realized you'd just confessed your secret love for him. You looked ashamed, embarrassed even, and he could tell you were already thinking about ways to change what you had just told him before.
Steve realized in this moment you were always within reach, but just like Robin had said...he wasn't looking at you and just assumed you weren't interested when you very much were.
He prided himself in being able to capture the signs someone is into him, even called himself a pro, but clearly that title is wrong if he couldn't even tell if the girl he was in love with as well for almost a year returned his feelings.
"Steve I didn't-"
"It scares me too for the same reason," he suddenly told you. It took you a moment to process what he was getting at, "For the exact same reason."
You tilted your head, about to ask him if he knew what he was saying, but it was cut short by his lips meeting yours. It was a short kiss, but one that took your breath away in the few seconds your lips were touching.
“Are these two serious?” Eddie asked out loud.
“Oh yeah they are. This is not the time!” Nancy called from her spot, but her words fell on deaf ears as you and Steve kissed. Robin scoffed out loud and began to make her way toward her friends who were (finally) in a lip lock.
“Hey! I’m happy for you two to realize you have soft and fuzzy feelings for each other! I really am! But does it have to be right now!?”
Neither of you listened as you kissed, too engrossed with each other and the fact that these feelings you’ve both had for a year were reciprocated. It didn’t matter, at the moment, that you were in the Upside Down and would always remember your first kiss being here of all places.
You kissed him harder, pushing down onto him the way you always dreamed of kissing him and he returned with the same energy.
The kiss was brought abruptly to an end though when someone was grabbing you and making you stand. You blinked a few times in your stupor and saw that it was Robin.
“Like I said, I’m happy for you, but we seriously have to keep moving,” she told you. You looked back at Steve who was being helped up by Eddie. His eyes found yours, and so did a winning smile on his lips.
You laughed softly, still in a bit of a shock of what had just happened. Your fingers went to your lips that still felt tingly from his lips that were on yours.
“I better not wake up in my bed and realize this was just a dream,” you suddenly said to Robin.
She wrapped an arm around you, determined to be the one to help you walk now and replied, “Nope. This is real, we’re trapped in another dimension, and you just kissed Steve Harrington.”
You leaned against Robin now, a laugh escaping your lips.
Meanwhile, Steve was standing on his own, and gently placed a hand over his lips like you had, still feeling like he could feel your lips there and tasting you.
Eddie had cleared his throat, "Now you're really an overprotective boyfriend."
Steve coughed into his hand now as if to hide the fact he was touching his own lips, and stood up more straight. His eyes had found yours again, catching the smile on your lips as Robin helped you turn around and he grinned to himself as well.
He couldn't wait to kiss you again, preferably in your own world and on one of your first dates.

Buck & Eddie and Thomas & Mitchell: Wardrobe Parallels
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the clothes Buck and Eddie wore in 7x1 "Abandon 'Ships" parallel with some of the clothes Thomas and Mitchell wore in 2x8 "Buck Actually". Reminder, the ages Thomas and Mitchell were during Thomas' flashbacks parallel with the ages Buck and Eddie are now👀.
Tumblr media
I've completed two other posts on the parallels between Buck & Eddie and Thomas & Mitchell (linked here and here) but the more parallels I find, I've come to realize the show has ALWAYS been paralleling them since 2x8 aired. And it's not just one thing, it's multiple things like their clothes, their ages, their height differences, the one who always drives (Mitchell and Buck) along with the way they look at and touch each other. Also, after Bobby taught Buck how to step into a relationship in season 1 (which didn't work on AC by the way) it appears Thomas was the one to tell Buck about true love more than a year before he learned about not solely dedicating himself to the LAFD (Red) and four years before he was told not to live his life like everyone else or it'll go by in a blur during the happiness convention (Lev) because he had ALREADY MET the person (EDDIE) weeks earlier that he is going to spend the rest of his life with.
Back to the regularly scheduled program...
Before 7x1 aired, TM (showrunner) released the above still and I posted about the ugly ass shirt Buck was wearing (linked here) but I also noticed the jean shirt Eddie was wearing and I wondered why he was wearing it because IIRC, Eddie hasn't worn a jean shirt since 3x3 after the Tsunami.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After I watched 7x1, I found so many parallels, callbacks, hindsight and foreshadowing and to this day, I'm still finding more that pertain specifically to Buck and Eddie that I plan to blog about but today, I remembered the other person I saw wearing a jean shirt similar to the one Eddie wore in 7x1 and it was Mitchell in 2x8 when he rolled up on Thomas at the club 🤪😜💕. It was the night they met and if you haven't seen 2x8, you should watch it because IMO, it gave the audience a glimpse into Buck and Eddie's future as a romantic couple.
I have to admit Eddie wearing a jean shirt was JARRING because he usually wears softer fabrics for his shirts like when he wears Henley's, button-downs and t-shirts so there's that. Also, the fabric looked rough and coarse, so I tried to figure out why he was wearing it in the first place but I digress (I'm going to do a separate post on why I believe he was wearing it the same way I posted about the plaid suit he wore in 6x13 and the plaid flannel shirt he wore in 6x18 (post linked here).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In addition to Eddie's jean shirt, Buck's multi-colored checkerboard whatever the "F" ugly ass button-down shirt/ jacket he wore has the same colors (white, blue, yellow/brown) as the shirt Thomas wore in 2x8 after he locked eyes with Mitchell from across the room while he was sitting at the bar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reminder, Eddie put his hand on Buck's shoulder in 3x3 (when he was wearing a jean shirt) the same way he did in 7x1 🤪😜🤪.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are other similarities in the clothes they wore but they were more so for Buck.
Since he's worn different variations of the infamous striped shirt he wore during the shooting, when I saw Thomas wearing a similar one, I had to look them up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During one of Thomas' flashbacks, he was wearing a shirt that's practically identical to the one Buck will be wearing in a future episode in season 7 (I can't remember when OS posted the picture below but IIRC, they were filming 7x5). Now since the photo of him and Brenna Malloy is in black and white, it's difficult to tell what color the stripes in his shirt are but the size of them are practically identical to the ones in Thomas' shirt. Reminder, Thomas wore his shirt when he took a selfie with Mitchell on their Polaroid camera right after they bought their home in the Hollywood Hills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additionally, later in 7x1 when Buck went to talk to Chris about being a player, he was wearing his "looking for answers" uniform but his shirt was the same color as a shirt Mitchell wore after him and Thomas got married and they were celebrating Mitchell's birthday.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IMO, it's safe to say 9-1-1 doesn't do anything on accident and it appears every word that's said and every piece of clothing the characters wear are done on purpose. Therefore, since they've been paralleling Buck and Eddie with Thomas and Mitchell for 6 years, the question is, what does it all mean? CANON Buddie... maybe??? Hopefully???
Reminder, Buck was the one who saw the pictures of Thomas and Mitchell that fell out of Thomas' "Love, Life & Adventures" photo album (post linked here) and he was also the one Thomas told, "You don't find it son, you make it!" and isn't that what Buck and Eddie have been doing for 6 years, making it?
That's love! (post linked here).
Will Buck and Eddie FINALLY become a CANON couple in season 7 or will the show keep delaying the inevitable by shoehorning one-dimensional love interests in and keep wasting screen time? Only the showrunners, writers, actors and producers know the answer to that question.

@steddielovemonth Day 26: Love is a fire that never goes out. @sidekick-hero
Tumblr media
"We need more logs! I want a big fire!"
"We haven't even gotten the fire started, Eddie, Mr Samson said we needed twigs first."
"Bet I can find more twigs than you!"
"You're on!"
It took the two young boys an hour to actually get their fire going, Eddie insisting on trying to start it with rocks for half of it. All the other camp kids were roasting their marshmallows by the time the first few sparks ignited in their little fire pit.
"We did it, Eds!"
"I told you, we're master survivalists, Stevie."
They stayed huddled around their fire for hours, curled up with one blanket and ate their way through a whole bag of marshmallows til their tummies ached and their eyelids drooped.
"C'mon boys, time for bed, you're going home tomorrow."
In their tent they pushed their sleeping bags closer together, still not wanting their last night to end.
"You'll write, won't you Stevie?"
"Of course, Eddie, you're my bestest friend in the whole wide world!"
Eddie giggled reaching out to take Steve's hand.
"I wish I lived in Hawkins with you, then we could play every day together."
Steve gripped his little hand tightly, "One day when we're big we'll have houses next door and a tunnel connecting them so we can hang out all day, no bedtimes!"
The next day, through hugs and sniffles they made sure the other had their address. The letters would stop a couple months later.
Steve often thought about what happened to his friend, why did he stop replying? Eventually, Steve stopped sending the letters, too.
That summer became a distant memory as Steve finished middle school then began high school, becoming King Steve. He thought briefly about his time at camp as he hugged Dustin goodbye the summer of '85.
It wouldn't be until the summer of '86 that two boys would find themselves around a campfire again.
"You ever go to summer camp?"
"Oh, once! It's a little hazy, that was the summer before dad went to jail and I was in foster til Wayne found me. But I remember loving it, there was a boy who I wrote too before everything happened. We used to wish that I lived in Hawkins with him, I have to admit I had a huge crush on him looking back."
The memory felt thrust back into Steve's mind, campfires and swimming and huddling in tents. He passed a marshmallow to Eddie, the fire crackling in front of them.
"Mmm I loved camp too, told this boy once when we were big we'd have tunnels under our houses, wonder what he'd think now knowing he's been staying across the hall from me?"
Steve turned towards Eddie, hoping Eddie remembered what a young Steve had wished, "I think I had a huge crush on him too."
"Stevie, you're that Stevie?"
"Would you forgive no tunnels if we shared a bed again?"
"I'd like that, sweetheart, although young us should know we're even more master survivalists now."
Steve laughed, "We would've been demogorgan dinner as kids!"
Eddie joined his laughter, "I still think if I got the right rock I could start a fire."
One day Steve would tell him that starting that campfire together lit a fire in his heart that burned for the rest of their lives.
