April Solicits are up!
Most of the Fall of X stuff has already been announced, but I noticed lots of fun variant covers inthe solicits. There's also a whole line of Vampire Variants they announced earlier today, in honor of the Blood Hunt event.

Ultimate X-Men #2
writing, art, and main cover by Peach Momoko
"THE ULTIMATE X-MEN GO BACK TO SCHOOL!
High school, that is! Itâs a new school year for Hisako as she tries to get a grasp on her new powersâŚ
Where she meets a cool, white-haired punk girl named Mei (A.K.A. Maystorm), who understands all too well the challenge Hisako faces."
Wolverine: Madripoor Knights #3
written by Chris Claremont, art by Edgar Salazar, cover by Philip Tan
"CAUGHT IN THE WEB OF THE GLAMOROUS AND DEADLY BLACK WIDOW!
CAPTAIN AMERICA must secure a deadly weapon in Madripoor with the help of WOLVERINE and BLACK WIDOW, and before it hits the auction block, our titanic trio takes a different tactic â subterfuge! But can even the highly trained Black Widow outmaneuver the PRINCE of Madripoor and the HAND before the weapon is unleashed?  And what â or WHO â will cause WOLVERINE to unsheathe his claws once more? The long-awaited follow-up to Chris Claremontâs legendary adventure continues with the most electrifying chapter yet!"
(Black Widow's outfit is super pretty and I like this cover a lot)
Weapon X-Men #2
written by Christos Gage, art by Yildiray Cinar, cover by Dike Ruan
"ONE HAPPY WOLVERINE!
Across almost every universe in existence, Wolverine is driven by pain, by the sins of his past and his future. But ione world â the very one that Onslaught has targeted next for annihilation â has a Wolverine unlike any other. A WolverineâŚwho got what he wanted. And for the Logan from Earth-X? That news just might be the claw in the coffin. The Phoenixâs handpicked Band of Logans go to war!
(Based on the photograph in the cover, he either got to stay with Itsu and have more kids or he married Mariko and had kids -- hard to say. Could also be misleading cover)
Dead X-Men #4 (of 4)
written by Steve Foxe, art by Bernard Chang, David Baldeon, and Vincenzo Carratu, cover by Lucas Werneck
"EVERYTHING ENDS!
Prodigy, Dazzler, Frenzy, Cannonball and Jubilee have gone farther and have risked more than any X-Men team before. Now, at the end of everything, the final fate of Krakoa rests on these five mutants. Will the Dead X-Men save the seed of the futureâŚor kill it before it can even be planted?"

Let explore the Horror world...
Horror Movies
Science fiction horror films, often associated with catastrophe or apocalyptic films or alien films, came into vogue in the 50's and (apart from the Universal Pictures films already seen, directed by Jack Arnold) was one of their main characters Roger Corman, director of the B series (low-budget films), specializing in the free and colorful adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe stories: The Fall of the House of Usher (1960), Pit and the Pendulum (1961), The Obsession (1962), Tales of Terror (1962), The Raven (1963), The Masque of the Red Death (1964) and The Tomb of Ligeia (1964); and an adaptation of a short story by H.P. Lovecraft, The Palace of the Spirits and some B-movies usually related to science fiction like It Conquered the World (1956), Emissary from another world (1957), Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957), Wasp Woman (1959), The Enchanted Sea Monster (1961) and The Man with X-Ray Eyes (1963)

Boris Karloff in Frankenstein's Bride.
Special effects technician Ray Harryhausen was an indispensable figure when it came to disaster and giant monster cinema. Influenced by King Kong, he made a number of notable films: The Great Gorilla (1949) by Ernest B. Schoedsack, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953) by Eugène LouriÊ, It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) by Robert Gordon, Earth vs .the Flying Saucers (1956) by Fred F. Sears, The Beast from Another Planet (1957) by Nathan Juran and the dinosaur film The Valley of Gwangi (1969) by Jim O'Connolly.
Other notable films from this period include: Robert Wise's The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), Byron Haskins The War of the Worlds (1953) (based on the novel of the same name by H.G. Wells), Them! (1954) by Gordon Douglas and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) by Don Siegel. The mix of horror and science fiction that H. P. Lovecraft translated into literature resurfaces in the late '70s with Philip Kaufman's version of the last-mentioned volume Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) and the excellent Alien: The Eighth Passenger (1979 ) again on ) by Ridley Scott, which chronicles the terrifying battle against an indestructible alien monster aboard a space freighter. The film spawned several sequels and crossovers. From the 1980s, The Thing (1982) by horror film master John Carpenter stood out among many others; the Canadian Cube (1997) by Vincenzo Natali and Seùales (2002) by Indian-American M. Night Shyamalan.

letâs talk about the deaths in Vincenzo, shall we? pt.2
i was so scared that they were gonna go the whole route of this is too gruesome to show on tv and that we canât have a women tortured *how scandalous*. but holy hell, man they went for it. and poetic justice at its best, huh.Â
next up on our list is ms. choi, the evil queen if you will. she is our main villainâs right hand man, meaning she puts into action his orders. now we donât get any reason, any justification for why she is the way she is. the writers donât give us an overused plot about how her childhood was bad so she became bad or how sheâs just someone after money. choiâs evil is not explained or reasoned by emotional trauma nor the appeal of material wealth. meaning she is just what it says on the box. evil. not for the sake of but maybe despite all of it. a lot of people were put off by the fact that the writers gave han-seok psychopathy and called it lazy writing. they argued that why couldn't he be evil just because. well i would argue that they already gave us that character in choi. choi became the agent that facilitated the deaths of so many and she commemorated those deaths by doing that frankly nauseating zumba routine. she danced while others wept. similarly her death is representative of that. her feet that rejoiced while others suffered-mutilated. she is bathed in gasoline (?) and then set on fire as vincenzo walks away all while that horrendous music plays in the background. she was rarely an audience to the deaths she had caused so no one is an audience to hers. i imagine that fire had the power of all the curses thrown at her by the families of the bereaved. and fuck, it must have hurt like a bitch but no one can say she didn't deserve it.Â
moving on to our big bad villain who is neither big nor bad, mr. jang han-seok. vincenzo calls him a kid and well that sums up what i think of him. he profited off of the pain and suffering of others. dad, his brother, those that worked for him. it is then quite apt that a bird feeds off of him, pecks his still warm corpse. humans canât directly benefit from his death. he is not worth it but a bird sure can. he became fodder in his death. also birds are usually associated with death, especially back ones that imply mourning. also the whole russian mafia tactic thing. han-seok loved speaking english in his mad moments. he is from the states. historically whoâs been americaâs no.1 enemy? russia. maybe iâm reading too much into it but seems a bit too specific if you ask me. his death is long, painful, brutally drawn out but most importantly mechanical. he loved pulling the strings, didnât he. well boy how do you like it now. it is also disgustingly pathetic that even in the face of iminent death all he can offer is money.
if yâall wanna know more read edgar allen poeâs the raven. i donât want to comment on han-seokâs psychopathy because i hold no authority on that topic. though from what i do know, they portrayed his psychopathy pretty well.Â
the onus, it is said falls onto the second party when engaged with a psychopath and on that note, next one will be about our baby boy han-seo. itâll take me a while to calm down and write that so...wish me luck.
