Okay my final thoughts are, I don't really have a problem with this decision?

As much as I wanted Bakugo to die, a pro hero giving his life to save him is very thematically correct and I've kinda been waiting for something like that to happen

The heroes have failed Bakugo, they have been failing him since the story started. As well as all their other students. This is Edgeshot's attempt at righting his and his comrades' wrongs after being partially responsible for sending Bakugo and countless other teens to die

Felix is a jerk but it was really well done how everything he said about Dmitiri in the beginning had the player react like "relax, edgeboy. He's a little guy. He's just a noble little guy" and then the timeskip hits and everybody was like holy shit everything Felix was saying was true. And felix just kind of looks at Byleth like "I fucking told you, bro. I fucking told you" He fucking calls it and IntSys tricks the player into doubting Felix because hes such a little shithead. But all that aside yeah he definitely still owes dmitri an apology

I love swtor. I really do. I liked the new zone and characters. Under different circumstances, I'd be happy with it.

But.... cmon, devs! It's been so many months since 7.0 dropped! And years since we first met Heta Kol, and saw that Malgus had a plan (tm).

I can't speak for most players. but me, personally: I need answers for a change, not vague hints promising something major and destructive is coming! As of this moment, it looks like Malgus just wants to burn the galaxy down to "start over" or something. And it's very cult-y. Very edgeboi. I can't believe they resurrected him just for this. And are keeping him alive.

And Heta Col... why do so many Mandos fanatically follow her? I've never been gung-ho about Mandalorians, I've always seen then as a civilization of professional raiders, bandits, thugs, pirates, and bullies. But the Hidden Chain seems to be following Heta for no other reason than to be allowed to return to pillaging. All they had to do was go their own way, Shae didn't seem like she had the power to force everyone to toe her line. But they're fighting the only Mandalore to win against the Eternal Empire.

What's worse... the time gap between updates. I realized yesterday, to my horror, that I can't remember what's going on. This kind of gap isn't conducive to a slow, patiently paced storyline. This isn't FF14.

I was hoping for answers, or at least, time with Lana and Theron.

Another problem, perhaps minor to some: we're returning to old worlds, instead of exploring new ones. Selonia, Mon Cala, Ithor, Rodia, Sullust, Vortex, Ryloth, Felucia, Bothawui, Kashyyyk, Trandosha, Gamorr, Bimmisaari, Tanaab, Chandrilla, Contruum, Carida, Csilla... as Lana says, "So much galaxy yet to explore, and here we are."

And a final, large complaint: "The Republic is corrupt and doesn't exist out here *at all*" is a trope that I'd like to see subverted, for a change. We need wins for the idea of Democracy. The Empire has always functioned as intended, with Chancellor Rans in command, I'd have hoped the Republic briefly did as well.

adjacent to the cyborg thing, while I'm not a particular fan of super grimdark stories anyway so I might not be the right guy to talk about it, it seems like a lot of dark fantasy having fairly low magic is rooted in the notion that you lose grimdark edgeboy points if healing magic and the occasional resurrection is a thing. This is, of course, because you can't have a guy with a missing hand and half a face bitterly talk about war bad armies evil the aristocrats use the peasants and discard them yadda yadda I'm so edgy jerkoff session rant if the setting's magic means he can go to a healer and get fixed.

My point is, though, that if you want a harsh and brutal setting, you can actually heighten that with some healing magic. Instead of a peaceful retirement due to injury, or even a long recovery period, you're just healed up and thrown back into the meat-grinder the next day.

Time and time again, hacked apart and bled white and burned to a crisp, then by the afternoon you're marching off to do it again. Occasionally you die outright and are pulled back from your rest to do it again, and your reward for excelling, for growing in skill and power and getting your hands on fancy magic items to become a heroic fantasy badass adventurer type is to just get thrown into worse and worse situations with the helpful guarantee that you're first in line to get healed or resurrected and sent back into the fray. Wars go from few-year flare-ups or longer, more intermittent conflicts into grinding, decades-long conflicts that only end when one side or another is either decapitated or completely exhausted in every respect besides their horribly enduring manpower reserves.

Of course, this also requires dark fantasy writers to actually give a shit about fantasy and write it in such away that the fantastic elements are integral to the story and setting, and not just be sneering smug fucks that hate classic fantasy and anyone who enjoys it and who'd be writing shitty shallow historical fiction instead if they thought there was any market for it.
