why cant they just make the 99 toyota corolla forever that car should be made in perpetuity because it simply cannot be killed and that would likely be better for the environment than filling every car with lithium

#i dont think we'll ever truly escape the need for ICE cars so they should be made as reliably as possible #im not pro car expansion obvs #i think they will be invaluable in the (re)transition to mass rail transit #because that will take a long fucking time #and it would be good for folk in more remote areas to have a reliable and efficient form of transport even post re-railification #plus they would be good cars for a library economy for when certain trips that require moving an awkward amount of stuff long distance #and also ICE cars dont have to run on petrol either #they can be tuned to run nearly identically on basically any liquid that burns #so you could tune it to run on ethanol for example #or biodiesel #or fuckin anything there are likely even more efficient alternatives out there that dont pollute anything too #we just need to research it lol

why do disabled people have to pay for public transportation??? Most can't drive or don't own a car.

the veterans here (and even working army officers) get a discount on the ticket and the elderly don't pay, why do we have to be excluded???

#also the public transportation is not sufficient and efficient #if you live far from the big cities #I don't own a car and I'm restricted by lack of bus that are also very expensive #I do own a electric bike and what a life safer #but again I cannot go too far #driving is a bit daunting because my legs get tired reaching to the pedals and sometimes I'm too unfocused to drive #but alas I am not a wheelchair user #therefore not really disabled #chronic fatigue #physical disability #chronic pain #chronic illness #accessibility

so how fast are the dragons in totk anyway?

today I discovered the simple joy of riding a dragon (in this case, farosh, because electric vehicles are good for the planet) around the map in big circles and so of course I wondered exactly how fast he is.

so I figured it out!

working under the assumption that one unit in the in-game coordinates is 1 meter (if it's good enough for Austin, it's good enough for me), I went on the search for sample data. since I can't be bothered to do math in more on more than one axis, I chose to take my data from when farosh is ascending directly up the east gerudo chasm.

using extremely advanced never before seen scientific techniques (taking a video of the coordinates and time on my phone and putting the data in excel), I have determined that farosh's top (and seemingly only speed) is

5 meters per minute!

or roughly 0.3 kilometers per hour. which is about the same as the average walking speed of a tortoise.

I have no idea how the Farosh Express even stays airborne, for I am Bad at physics and the answer is probably magic anyways

#dragonback is certainly not the most efficient mode of transport #but the scenery is excellent #for the low low price of constant electrocution #you can get a 35 real life minute helicoptor tour of hyrule!#loz #tears of the kingdom #totk #loz totk

oh, also, our boat broke down in the middle of a swamp today and we were stuck there for a few hours

#personal #travelblogging #that’s another reason i want some time to digest between events because this was actually a really interesting experience that i wanted to #write about to remember it y’know?#but instead we immediately went to more bars and i freaked the hell out!#i actually liked being stranded in the middle of the swamp. it was fun seeing everything going by; gators and great blue herons etc #that was a nice pleasant time that genuinely has expanded my world.#at first our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable about all the wildlife pointing things out; apparently they name the gators #and the basic touristy ‘perfect’ view of the swamp is fun and all #but here in real life things go wrong. how do different people deal with these stresses? and it was fun talking to people from all over #while waiting for the help boat to arrive. again i really liked all that!#in comparison:#we went on a streetcar and my mom was upset that the lady wanted things to go efficiently. said ‘that ruined the whole experience for her’#but like. it’s public transportation. she’s just living her life; doing her job. why are you idolizing this?

i like how in ds built to scale and glee club are literally never in a remix without each other. like. remix 1, remix 9 and remix 10. only remixes they're in. and then megamix doesn't have ds built to scale-
