Because we received very similar questions we will post an FAQ here

1. What does "Vinyl-On-Demand" mean?

The vinyl record is produced when it is ordered.

2. What are the Advantages/Disadvantages of "Vinyl-On-Demand"?

Advantages:

-We are able to offer a high quality vinyl-version of the album we would never have been able to offer if we would use standard vinyl pressing because of the production costs and the minimum copies we must produce. We would have way too expensive and way too much stock we probably will never sell then.

-We can offer the vinyl version with a reasonable price tag because of course companies like elasticStage can offer way better prices than we could ever offer.

-The shipping costs are cheaper for almost all countries than if we would send it out ourselves.

Disadvantages:

-Because elasticStage produces the records in badges (not only our record but also records of other artists) it is possible that if you are unlucky and order a record just after a badge was sent to production you maybe must wait quite a long time until your order gets shipped. As far as we could check it, the longest time you maybe have to wait is four weeks.

-Because the orders are directly sent out by elasticStage, we cannot sign a record and we cannot add any goodies to the package.

3. Is the record produced with the inferior "lathe-cut" technique?

elasticStage claims that they have developed a combined technique of lathe-cut and standard vinyl pressing techniques that produces way better quality records than lathe-cut records. The quality of the records is as good as any other modern vinyl record so far we can tell from the production samples we got.

4. Is the overall quality of the LP good? (Cover, Booklet, Inner sleeve,...)

As you can see in the fotos attached to this post the quality is really good so yea the overall quality is good.

5. Will you ever have records at your hand that you can sign?

Yes we will also get a batch of records in the future we will then sell on our Bandcamp page but because of the logistics that will hapen some weeks after the release on 4th July 2025. We will inform you when we got them.
