vampirska is an independent raw black metal project which debuted in 2019. it started off as purely a hobby — no previous experience in the industry, no practiced writing or mixing skills, just passion for the genre. its name is inspired by the feminine form of the adjective ‘vampiric’ in many slavic languages and it doesn’t hold any deeper meaning to the musician, it’s, again, just a special interest of theirs [vampiric symbolism is used in their music].

vampirska takes heavy inspiration from LLN bands, specifically Mütiilation, as mentioned in an interview. [‘Hearing Mütiilation for the first time was a big influence on me music and image wise at the time, and that seems to be something that has stuck with me since.’, The Call Of The Night] they enjoy the atmosphere that candles on a candelabra, corpse paint, and creative scenes or poses bring to a release and they see these things as an opportunity of tying the imagery and the music together. they also feel inspired by drummers such as joey jordison, dave lombardo, lars ulrich, and morgan rose, as they feel that drums is their strongest instrument. they could play some less-difficult slipknot songs by the age of 8.

if you’d like to get into their music, i recommend you start with ‘hopelessness of hearts in void.... cover the face of majesty in stone, and watch him waste away...’, as the artists said it’s the track they’re most proud of. it was written during quaratine and, considering how dark of a time that was, this track is pure chaos - even vampirska said it’s their most interesting sounding piece to date.

vampirska is looking to polish their sound a bit, which they’re convinced will turn a lot of people away from the project, sadly. they plan on adding synths, changing up the song structures as well as the production style.
