I’m finally watching Mr. Robot (8 years too late) and I really teared up over the emotional damage they did to a random throwaway character that had like 10 minutes of screen time. Elliot really told this lowly little sales associate that he was worthless, no one loved him, and if he died tomorrow no one would care, so he wanted to speak to someone who actually mattered….like???? Mr. Robot really made him dig deep to find a weakness and quickly break that man’s spirit, just so they could get to the next step in their plan and for some reason it punched me right in the gut. I can already tell I’m not about to survive this show if I’m already this emotional on episode five lmao.
