Rust!!!!!!!! I’m actually crying!!!!!!! The first ep of hdm was so GOOD! It’s never going to be perfect, and it was quite fast paced but I absolutely adored it, I feel like everything I love is coming to life on screen and I want to CRY 🥺🥺🥺

IT WAS. I actually teared up at the beginning because I genuinely could not believe Lyra was on screen and so herself? I love how Dafne is playing her and the cast so far has been top-notch. 

But hard agree about not everything being perfect. It’s never going to match what we’ve imagined all these years, but I feel like so many of the choices they made and the things they decided to show were clever and a good way of capturing it for people who might not have read the books, like us. 

And yes about everything we love coming to life. It’s been a surreal year for books I’ve read and loved growing up. There’s Good Omens and His Dark Materials, but also The Boys, Watchmen and Stumptown??? 

P.S. Have you read The Book of Dust (La Belle Sauvage and The Secret Commonwealth) yet?

Also like... Hilary Duff WAS super young when they filmed Lizzie McGuire?! I know she LOOKS older but she was only 15 when they did the film and 17 in 2004 so like... Lmao I know!!! A lot of people on this website don’t use their head. In the pool party episode, Hilary has missing teeth! That was the pilot episode but disney is so dumb and weird and always air their episodes out of order, so it’s listed as episode 4. Still to this day they air episodes of shows out of order and it really annoys me lol. But yeah Hilary filmed the show and movie from the age of 12 - 15. There’s something about America where actors seem to mature so fast within a few short years.

I just wanted to say thank you SO much for your tags on my hdm gifset they literally made me SO happy like my heart is warm n fuzzy right now 🥺 I really don’t know what secrets I have though it’s mostly trial and error 😩😂 and I noticed there was a lot of blue and beige with like a purple accent in this ep!!! I always like to have at least two darker gifs to contrast light scenes, and I personally love colours and vibrancy so that’s my main focus in gifsets!!!! But yeah thank you again 🥰💖
