Hi all! I'm Emcon and I run my OC blog over at @emcon-ocs! I'm primarily developing my Marvel OCs right now, but I also have OCs for The Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, and Harry Potter.

I just finished the first part of my Marvel OC story, "Bat Out of Hell," which can be found on Ao3 and Wattpad if you're interested in reading! I really like making graphics and videos (especially in the vein of analog horror) for this series, which you can also find on my blog under the story tag. I put a ton of time and planning into this series, so any comments or thoughts on it mean the world to me! Part 2 is in development and will be out this fall :D

love making absolute creatures of a character. like yes this is my OC Willow. she has two pets rats, is nocturnal, and for a stint lived in the subway tunnels of New York City. is well-known for biting during fights. not opposed to eating trash. one bandaged a stab wound with duct tape. literally was born with massive bat wings and talons and not in a cute way but in truly a freak of nature way. the embodiment of Danny Devito's "Trash Man" in a teen girl's body. and also she loves the Twilight movies :)

hi babe hope u are well

hiiiii lacey!!!!!! yes hi I guess I'll use this as an update post of sorts -- life is actually treating me very well right now, as chaotic as it is. i haven't returned to writing imagines on here, but I am currently querying my book to literary agents and also prepping for the release of Bat Out Of Hell 2 at the end of August (which I'm so, so excited for).

I was actually living in Mexico City for the last month on a work assignment but now I'm back in the United States. It's like 100 degrees in my apartment right now but life is good, I'm going to a rave in the woods this weekend and seeing Elton John in MA next week!!!!

I do miss writing for this blog, and while I want to keep focusing on my longer fanfics/OC works and my publishing journey, please know that this blog isn't going anywhere and neither am I in the meantime. and I'm still pretty active on @emcon-ocs and @the-radio-star too :)

UPDATE

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I've added some new OCs for new fics I've come up with for these fandoms: The Hunger Games, Pretty Little Liars, Stranger Things and Percy Jackson.

I have so far created pinterests and playlists for all of them, so if you would like to see some OC profiles or playlist moodboards, let me know! I would be happy to answer any questions about these fics/fandoms/ocs!

If any of you are on desktops/laptops instead of mobile, I have set up a fic masterlist that you can see if you open up my blog in a different window.

I have all my fics (wips, completed, ideas, projects in development) up so you can at least see the synopsis to get an idea of the story.

I am working on also adding links to give you more information on both OCs and the plot. I have made OC pages for most of my OCs and will work on getting those up for you to look through.

If anyone has any good theme recs for minimalist oc masterlists/registry/catalogue, feel free to let me know so I can make that for you guys!

I would also like to make a shout out to the wonderful @emcon-ocs who has graciously agreed to come on as a beta reader for my a more savage narnia fic. They have given such well-thought, considerate and helpful feedback that I just wanted to acknowledge them for doing such a fantastic job and to properly convey my gratitude and appreciation! Fairly closed off and prone to isolation (though she abhors it) Lyra tends to stick to her friend group and rarely branches out to meet new people. Lyra struggles academically, with the exception of a few classes, and would much rather learn on her own time or on topics she actually thinks is “useful.” She prefers classes that lets her work with her hands, rather than classes that are more cerebral. 

Biography:

Shortly after she was born, both of Lyra’s parents were arrested and sent to Azkaban. Before other Death Eaters could arrive to collect her, she was put into the care of the Order of the Phoenix, who later passed her off to her estranged uncle, Orion Black, an eccentric werewolf that lived in the Scottish countryside in a small cottage. Away from the rest of her family, Lyra had a cheerful, though unconventional childhood. She spent her days stealing her uncle’s broom and flying around the fields and coast near her house, while also helping in Uncle Orion’s workshop, where he enjoyed repairing and reverse-engineering Muggle technology. Once a month, on the full moon, her uncle would leave home during his transformation, leaving Lyra home alone on those days and giving her free reign over the homestead. Lyra also worked to become an Animagus, though unregistered, as her uncle was still worried she could get hurt when he transformed.

At age eleven, Lyra began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she broke family tradition and was sorted into Gryffindor, becoming fast friends with Fred and George Weasley, as well as Lee Jordan. 

Shortly after graduation, Lyra received word that her mother had been broken out of prison and was sent into hiding by the Order, who was afraid her mother would come looking for her. For a while, she stayed with her old classmates at the Burrow, but after the Ministry of Magic fell, she was captured by her mother. For several months, she was held at Malfoy Manor while Bellatrix attempted to torture or sway her back to the Dark Lord’s side.

However, Lyra held out and eventually managed to escape, meeting up with the twins and Lee Jordan and assisting them with Potter Watch. She fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and survived to become a Ministry liaison between the Muggle and Wizarding world.

Currently, not really. I’ve been extremely busy with life, as well as my work on my longer projects over @emcon-ocs. That said, it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t ever revive this account—I’m just dormant for now while I focus on other projects I’m passionate about!!

My dear @summer-time , how you flatter me so! I was a bit puzzled for a bit wondering what to do with this ask. I am embarrassed to admit, for as much projects as I make up and have in development currently, I have not written and uploaded many fics. @emcon-ocs 's Bat Out of Hell & Bat Out of Hell: Teenage Wasteland (MCU)

Willow Wren has got to be one of the most well-developed OCs I've ever read and @emcon-ocs creativity in not just their writing, but also in how they promote their fic, is just way beyond anything I've ever seen before from a fic writer. Like, they made a literal movie trailer for the sequel to Bat Out of Hell - which was epic btw and these super cool posters/covers that made me severely jealous because I lack the most basic editing and photoshop skills. Also I need to mention this meme because it was both hilarious as hell and depressing (if you know, you know). Anyway, they're not just a fantastic fic writer, but they put so much effort into promoting their fic and the talent and creativity and resourcefulness there is just admirable. Nothing but respect for @emcon-ocs , so check em' out!

2. @starknstarwars 's Smuggler's Run & Smuggler's Ruin (Star Wars)

@starknstarwars 's Smuggler's Saga borderlines on original work with how original and brilliantly thought out it is. I first got hooked onto their work when I was drawing up their commission for the main OC, Zallia Thane (of whom I worship the very ground she treads upon). All of the OCs from the Smuggler's Saga are well-developed, well-thought out and beautifully portrayed in the series, with complex motivations, values, struggles and personalities that make them equally relatable and engaging to read about. I am up to Smuggler's Ruin right now, but I have yet to catch up to the recent chapters so I suggest all of us take a page out of my book and BINGE NOW!

3. @summer-time 's Biography of an Angel (Harry Potter, Star Wars & Game of Thrones)

And of course, I could not do a fic rec without mentioning someone who's OC has become very dear to me and that's you, my dear @summer-time. Your Ian Moone has crossed time, space and dimensions and touched our favorite stories and characters, and that attention to detail, lore and plots is impressive considering you always stay true to Ian's tragic plight of never able to enjoy being part of these stories that she intervenes in, always having to move on to new worlds to save and new loves to fall for that she will inevitably leave behind in the end - it is all too reminicent of the pain of leaving behind our own childhood stories to live the real lives of adults. Take my advice ladies and gentlemen, read up on my dear @summer-time and her Bigography of an Angel
