My rats are technically emotional support pets because my doctor thought it would help me so seeing people get upset with me sharing how much I love my rats and how funny is absolutely ironic.

FYI they are great pets when you feel down. I'm sad people can't see that. They help with anxiety and stress a lot.

Istg if i see one more ad about emotional support pets im gonna lose my mind. Your PETS (because that's what they are) do not and should never have the same rights as my service dog. "But I wanna take my dog everywhere with me" Your emotional support animal isn't protected by ADA and isn't allowed in places that don't allow pets. I've been banned from three places in my city alone because of my SD who IS protected by the ADA. You take your dog with you everywhere because you don't want to leave them home alone. I take mine with me because of multiple physical disabilities. ESAs and SDs aren't the same.

Hey does anyone know where i can register my cats as emotional support animals? Im considered mentally disabled and registering them as emotional support will allow me to pay their vet bills easier. And they are very very important to me and i couldn't be without them, but i have no idea how this works.

emotional support animals are not the quick cheap and easy version of service animals.

i am so sick of seeing these ads to register your pet as an emotional support animal as a faster alternative to a service animal.

emotional support animals are not service animals for a reason. they have zero training that service animals need. there's no actual validating in the animal providing any support/service to the individual.

treating an emotional support animal as if it's a service animal is dangerous for both people and actual service animals because it lacks the training to prevent it from becoming a distraction/hazard to what's around it.

i don't actually have a problem if you want to have your pet considered an emotional support animal but please understand they are no where near even similar to service animals and therefore do not have the same rights.

This is Koda, but his nickname is Kody and that’s generally what he comes to. And I just want to say that I absolutely love this cat. He’s the sweetest, and goofiest— he even comes when he’s called.. most of the time. He’s my baby; my husband and I refer to ourselves as mom and dad to him and he’ll meow back at us and I just love him so much. He’s basically my emotional support pet and I wouldn’t trade him for anything!! 🥹🖤💕

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE AN ADOLESCENT GIRL.

Living in Barbieland (childhood girlhood) but then suddenly you're all grown up in the real world subject to scrutiny and sexualisation (the guy slapping Barbie's ass) and feeling like existing is a crime?

Being forced by adult men into a box (which leads to the not like other girls syndrome) and exploring the 'real world' (being forced to grow up too quickly) while fighting the realisation that maybe the world sucks and being a woman is so difficult while hoping with all your heart that it's not always going to be this way.

Losing touch with the very things that made you happy because they're considered immature and girly? (The group of teens that said they hadn't played with Barbies since they were five.)

Older women telling you that you have to learn the truth about the world and that you can never have your old life back (Kate Mckinnon's Barbie) despite it being the only thing you yearn for, but also older women being a bright spot and support (the old woman on the bench) in the endless slough of life.

And this is just the trailer!!! I'm so excited for this movie I can't breathe, Greta Gerwig the woman that you are 😭

There is just something about that one red carpet pic in particular, with how smol and vulnerable David looks. I do think it would be lovely if he had Michael on his arm, having him there to handle the photographers and be assertive in the way that David sometimes finds difficult to do himself. Plus David does look a bit cold in the late January chill, so he would probably more than welcome having Michael there to keep him warm. They just seem like they would make the loveliest couple walking the red carpet together...
