So back when I was taking a human developmental psychology class in university, the professor added a jpeg of the emotions from Inside Out on the emotional development chapter powerpoint. And instead of that helping me be engaged with the lesson as intended I instead got distracted for the next hour making my own versions of them in my notebook. After nearly three years they still live in my head rent free and I have come to use them to anthropomorphize my feelings, it's weirdly a lot of fun and very introspective. Their work office takes place in the amygdala, while long term memories are stored downstairs in the hippocampus where they're studied for future reference.

A quick overview of the inner world kitchen. It's where many kinds of foods are cooked for various reasons. Sometimes it's goals that have come to fruition that have been harvested and cooked into grand dishes for a ceremonial feast to celebrate a job well done. Sometimes it's simply brewing a coffee to get energized in the morning or cup of tea to wind down in the evening.

Animation was a major part of me growing up and still is to this day, and as a result I project a lot of my favorite animated characters onto the emotions' alternate outfits, either as a gag or as a more permanent part of their wardrobe. Either that or whatever frilly crochet two piece I suddenly feel like making and no current skill to actually pull off.
