Just glimpsed into a soul. Eyes cast down at his toe. Never panders for what he is owed. Something about his gait, Whispers a resigned wait, Until White Man can treat him like gold.

Honestly if you cannot conceive of yourself, or your family and friends, beyond the colonial state, then that's a you problem and you're not invested in solving it. It is a characteristic of white supremacism, it is a concern only of the oppressor.
If you cannot divest yourself of the colonial identity, then you have a fundamental problem with the rest of humanity, and with life itself.
This applies to all colonial endeavours: to the US, to Canada, to Australia, to New Zealand, to Israel. You must shun the part of your culture that can only perpetuate itself on the oppression of others.
To ask oneself "how shall we protect the oppressor when the oppressed is liberated?" is fundamentally a broken mindset. It's the mindset of the white American after emancipation. It's the mindset of the white South African after the end of Apartheid. It's the mindset that allowed for No to win in the recent Australian referendum.

It's funny in a disturbing way how close The algorithm thinks i am to full blown nazism in a number of different spheres. Like i will engage with like swordfighting content or leatherworking content and there's a lot of people who do that who are very into norse myth and stuff and then from there the algorithm is like well it's only a short little step from there to white supremacism!! But buddy pal friend robot mr. Al Go Rhythm sir that step might be small but it is burning and filled with spikes and pits. That step is a fissure dug deep into the earth with that ominous glow of lava at the bottom. That step is an invisible wall art the end of a videogame map and you may cross it but if you do, if you do there is a popup that says RETURN TO NORMALCY WITHIN 5 SECONDS and it counts down and if you don't, oh if you don't make it out of there in time you may not die but buddy, your former friends will wish you had.

The Charleston Church Shooting: Dylann Roof
Tumblr media
*NOTE! This is a repost! And it will look familiar CAUSE IVE POSTED IT ON ANOTHER ACCOUNT!! Is it the best? No.*
Early life/ Prior convictions
Dylann was born April 3rd 1994 to mother Amelia and father Franklin with 2 sisters Amber and Morgan. During early childhood his parents would divorce and his father would later remarry. His stepmother accused his father of abuse. He would beg his step mother to let him live with her but she wasn’t able to. Dylann would be described to have obsessive compulsive tendencies with germs. In middle school he would stop caring about school and started smoking weed and drinking vodka. In nine years he would have attended seven schools. In 2010 he would drop out of Highschool and continue playing video games and smoking weed and drinking.
Tumblr media
(The Roofs home)
In 2015 he was caught with an invalid prescription for suboxone at a mall to which he was banned from for a year. Later that year he was caught loitering in the mall to which they searched his car finding a forearm grip for a AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and six unloaded magazines capable of holding 40 rounds each but was let off it was legal in the state. Roofs Suboxone charge was mishandled and a system error took it as a misdemeanour instead of a felony. Which would have possibly prohibited him from purchasing the firearm.
Tumblr media
(The flag of Rhodesia)
Later Dylann would look into the Trayvon Martin case and from an unknown article concluded Zimmerman was in the right. He then fell down a rabbit hole of black on white crime and misinformation. He then found 4chan and would find even more misinformation and hard right ideologies Dylann states he hasn’t been the same since that day. Which leads to his manifesto titled ‘The last Rhodesian’ Rhodesia being the African state founded in 1965 ran by primary Europeans and a white supremacy ideology before being abolished in 1979. The term now sticks with white supremac!sts like Dylann had became, as he also used the flag on his jacket. In preparation before the attack he looked up black churches and found the Emanuel Methodist Episcopal Church and would scout the area and ask around about mass times.
The shooting
Tumblr media
(The Emanuel Methodist Episcopal Church)
June 15th 2015 somewhere around 8:00pm Dylann entered the church, once he did he was greeted by Rev.Pinckney and given a bible to study with. Roof was sat next to Pinckney as the study continued. As the study closed and the ending pray started Roof stood up and pulled out his Glock 41 .45 calibre handgun and began shooting. Killing Pinckney first. Then 26 year old Tywanza Sanders stood up to plead with Dylann before he said ‘I have to do it. You rape our women and you’re taking over our country and you have to go’ he then shot and k!lled Sharonda Singleton, Dr. Daniel L. Simmons, Ethel Lee Lance, Cynthia Hurd, Myra Tompson and Tywanza Sanders. Dylann would reload 5 times that day. Polly Shepherd was spared when he asked her if he shot her yet to which she replied no he then told her ‘good cause we need someone to survive because I’m gonna shoot myself and you’ll be the only survivor. He then turned the gun on himself realizing he was out of ammo. He then left the church to the surprise there wasn’t anyone outside. The next day the police confirmed the gunman was 21 year old Dylann Roof with witnesses reporting they saw him drive towards Shelby, a town close to Charleston. At 10:44am Roof was arrested at a traffic stop in Shelby where it was then confirmed he worked alone.
Tumblr media
(The victims)
The Trial
Five days after the shooting the grand jury announced that Roof was being indicted for 33 federal charges.
12 counts hate crime against black people
12 counts obstructing the exercise of religion
9 counts murder using a firearm.
On June 6th Roof reportedly did not want to be trialed by jury and instead let the judge decide if he was guilty and if the death penalty was reasonable. August 23rd Roofs lawyers called the motion of death penalty unconstitutional and asked to reject the motion. On September 1st an on camera hearing was held in case of outbursts. December 7th 2016 the trial started. During a survivor statement Roofs mom collapsed as she had a heart attack. After 3 days of the trial FBI played a video on which he admitted to laughing and drinking while describing to friends how he’d shoot the church. To which his friend didn’t report to police and said he was drunk and took his keys and Glock that was on him. After 2 hours the jury found him guilty on all 33 charges. Roof wanting to plead guilty but told not to by lawyers.

January 10th 2017 Roof was sentenced to the death penalty, death by lethal injection.

OK, fuck it, I have thoughts.
So I like Axiom’s End. Its theme may hit as subtly as a sledgehammer but it’s saved by the characters and the way it’s delivered. The whole point is about not truly being able to comprehend the mysterious Other, about communication and knowledge not being a panacea to bigotry and supremacism, about how studying the Other can often lead to the reinforcement of said bigotry as you confirm your prejudices and refuse to abandon your point of view where you’re the default, the morally superior and the Other at best a flawed imitation, at worst a contemptible aberration. And you arrive at this and the usual “wait, this is actually about our world, isn’t it” via the protagonists and their own personal failure to truly comprehend one another, even though at the same time they’re aware of their respective cultures’ atrocities. Again, unsubtle but it works.
And then Truth of the Divine comes and it just doesn’t. The theme is utterly divorced from the characters’ inner journeys. It’s literally a “wise accomplished guy sees further than the protagonist and informs her of the theme which they then spend the rest of the book trying to effect”. The idea that “if you deny rights to aliens, you create a legal framework which then allows humanity to keep indulging its centuries-long human rights abuses” isn’t even less on the nose than what the previous book presented but because it comes to the story as a monologue and the response is “oh I never thought about it that way, guess that’s what we’re doing now” it reads like a Medium article preaching to the choir.
And I absolutely am going to blame this on Kaveh or rather the way he’s designed. For the theme to be a result of a learning process, you really need someone like Timothy Snyder not realizing until his 50s that the U.S. healthcare system is a bit shit, because he’d never been affected by its shittiness before. You need a person of privilege. You obviously can’t do “I discovered racism exists” via an Iranian refugee who got his big break by exposing CIA torture sites in the Middle East.
But OK, fine, I guess that the world doesn’t need another white savior “I learned something today” narrative (let’s ignore it could have been Miranda having a leopards ate my face moment). But to really drive the final nail in the coffin, Kaveh isn’t even particularly complex as a character. He’s endlessly understanding and empathetic and soooo self-aware, absolutely would never use Cora to his advantage, no siree, he genuinely loves her and wants to take care of her and never abuses his worldliness and is a great fuck and exactly what she needs at this stage in her life and he never has doubts about anything and his demons are long behind him and only serve as a means for Cora to learn there is a light at the end of the tunnel and his connection to Nils doesn’t amount to much in terms of character flaws and he believes the idea of daddy issues is stupid and he opens doors to a better future for Cora and stands up for her and is loaded but his wealth doesn’t affect his worldview whatsoever and his dick is uuuuge and throbbing and oh my fucking god I get it he’s perfect I could not give less of a shit about him why is this Gary Stu taking up so much space.
And this, kids, is how momma found herself yearning for the tertiary CIA agent who most likely has a past of torturing people. Simply because he seems to have something, anything else going on behind what’s readily apparent.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ciri, my calico cat who I rescued from a car's engine in Sep 2020, quickly bonded to me. She is a literal baby and nurses on her own tail (second photo). She literally saved my life and is the reason I work so hard! I want to give her the best life possible!
Tumblr media
Buda (DMH color point) and Biscui (DSH void), brothers of the same litter, bonded with each other. Their status as "my" cats is debatable as I don't think my mom will allow me to take them with me when I do move out, but they live in my heart nonetheless
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Niko, a love bug who loved belly pets and showering with the humans. He lived from Fev 2021 until Dec 2021. His life was so short because the rescue didn't inform us of his FeLV+ status, so we only found this out when he had too many complications from it.
Tumblr media
Pixel, my corn snake, adopted out to me because he had some bone deformities as a hatchling and would be culled, but ended up growing healthy and strong!
Tumblr media
Anansi, my mystery species tarantula, adopted out to me because the previous owner got bored of her and was going to release her outside if no one wanted her. I had her for almost 5 years. In Oct 2024 she passed away from old age and her body was donated to my university to be preserved and used in education.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Noir (black and white), Blanc (beige and white), and Wolfy (all beige). Noir and Blanc were brothers who were "feeder bin rescues", as there was no pet rat breeders in my city, but they were given to me for free after the breeder learned they would be pets. Noir was a love bug who followed me around the room and learned several tricks, Blanc was more chill and chose to hide among my shoes or clothes to nibble on everything. Wolfy came some months later when a pet rat breeder accepted sending him from a couple of towns away. He made it his life mission to be impossible to photograph without being held at gunpoint 😅 They all passed away in different months of 2020.
Tumblr media
Toddy (boxer) and Kira (viszla mix), my parents dogs. Kira came from a very bad situation, so she and all her siblings were rescued at only 1.5 week old by a family friend. Toddy was rescued at 3 weeks old as he was byb and his mom had health issues that lead to her being unable to nurse and then passing away less than a month after birthing.
Tumblr media
Baby is the only pet from my childhood that I was able to find photos as of now. She was gifted to me on my 4th birthday and grew up with me until she passed of old age in Dec 2016.

Thoughts on NrX? Do you agree that they basically reverse enginered marxism, but are too emberasssed to admit it do to their surface level dislike and signaling to anti-comunists?
NRx is Marxist in narrative structure but with a different protagonist: the owner rather than the worker. But since the actual protagonist of Marxism turns out to be the intellectual-bureaucrat rather than the worker, I don't see as big of an ethical difference as you might expect. NRx, too, might end up having a secret protagonist. I should quote the peroration of Reality Spammer's essay cited in my last response:
Nick Land at this point must certainly have earned the title of the most important philosopher of the past half-century. Everyone now is thinking in relation to accelerationism. In the context of the growth of acceleration, neoreaction, the dissident right, is Elon like the Stalin to Nick Land’s Marx? Elon of course almost certainly does not know who Land is. But they share the same triad of objects of zeal — a sense that the industrial process must intensify in an uninterrupted way, racism, and a joy in spreading irreverence as far as possible. Racism, this all-too-human passion as old as man, becomes the weapon to dismantle the human plane, by accelerating its internal differences until it breaks. The emergence of this pure demonic theater of simulacra where the formality of a public sphere once lingered is its shattering into entropic fragments as it splits apart, a spiral into radio static and catatonic schizophrenia.
On this account, NRx uses race the way Marxism uses class: to start "a war inside society" (per Boris Groys) that they hope to win. I'm not entirely sure this is how it's going to work, though, even as NRx seems more and more poised to get its way with the rise of a figure like Milei and the potential or even likely return of Trump amid the atmosphere of Elon's X. Is the left really so terminally depressed, so self-immolationist, that it now understands "irreverence" and "racism" as inextricably synonymous? Did Bakhtin laugh in vain?
The peroration of Land's own epochal "Dark Enlightenment" manifesto derives its indeed right-Marxist vision of our immanent self-transcendence via self-conscious speciation from a series of novels by Octavia Butler that I admittedly haven't read. (I browsed through them. I like Butler—Kindred and "Bloodchild" in particular, and I did find those two texts sort of reactionary—but the Xenogenesis books Land cites seemed a little pulpier than I wanted to deal with. I suspect such subject matter might require a prose style akin to Bradbury's, Delany's, or Ballard's, more visionary and iridescent. Dick and Herbert, whom I also admire among science fictionists, have the same plain-prose problem.)[*]
Is the famously racist NRx then an Afrofuturism, given that I claimed 10 years ago that it was also a queer theory? (Consider also the gender accelerationist blackpaper, which renders NRx a trans theory.) Why assume that dismantling the "human plane" must lead by logic to racism? Maybe it will lead to the disarticulation of race, as surely as it's led to the disarticulation of gender. (When I was in grad school, everybody blamed humanism for creating racism!)
This isn't an endorsement of NRx, and I don't dispute the personal racism of some of the people involved, but I'm not persuaded by the equation between tech accelerationism and white supremacism. There's as much reason to think it could go the other way. Here the specifically racist libertarians mirror the Afropessimists as well as the Marxists. But it's not necessarily how the resolutely optimistic Frederick Douglass, for example, would have thought about it when he saw technological development as part and parcel of individual equality: the camera disclosing the soul in every skin.
(I know my critics think I am too cavalier on the subject of race. I just think it's going to disappear. I don't think it stands a chance. Reality Spammer says, "There is a sense in which 'everyone is racist' is simply an analytic a priori." And there's a sense in which it's not. NRx's biological racism won't work, not only because race is a construct, but because biology is too. Science waits upon art and magic; leave Steve Sailer to his golf course. From Melville's repeated image of the oceangoing vessel as Anacharsis Cloots delegation of universal humanity to Morrison's concluding vision of the Black Madonna onshore awaiting such ships of holy fools to dock in Paradise, this is an American prophecy.)
Reality Spammer is right, I suppose, about the vulgarity of Ye, Elon, etc., but, leaving aside the eloquence of the vulgar (as if "beautiful big titty butt-naked women" played no role at the root of the human imagination), there is a world elsewhere, even in right-wing world. The queer-femme wing of the new right is reading Gone with the Wind, sure—I've never read it myself—but they're also promoting Pamela, the first novel to sentimentalize, aestheticize, and universalize bourgeois hegemony, and so the secular type and pattern of all future individual liberation narratives, not excluding Douglass's. This is something like what I had in mind 10 years ago when I said we'd know if there was anything to neoreaction if it went from black to pink, aesthetically speaking, from Gothic to sentimental, from Lovecraft to Joyce. Another recent favorite of this group, Poor Things, a socialist novel written by a Scottish nationalist, was converted for the atopic-utopic purposes of global cinema into a post-woke porno-libertarian fable. It ends in the multiracial queer paradise of a walled garden, secured in part with the earnings of sex work to refuel the professionalization of a new cadre of techno-experts symbolized by Bella's journey from one type of working girl to another.
The "human" is not a self-evident category, even if I'd prefer to travel under its banner myself. The neoreactionaries, like their soixante-huitard precursors, were only anti-humanists insofar as the human was a Hegelian synonym for the state (and antonym therefore both of the individual and of empire, a word Blake, Shelley, and Whitman used without negative connotation to signify a post-national world-polity). What the human might become in an age of accelerated techno-capital is unclear—if such acceleration even works; if we don't regress all the way back to the forest, the desert, and the cave in the conflagration of the rules-based international order, victims at last of Enlightenment's dialectic—but why should we forfeit our species's name at the very hour of the potential triumph of our species-being as the aesthetic angel-animal who is both subject and object of its own thought? As the first review of my latest novel tells us, "the 21st century isn’t likely to become any less weird."
"There are no sides," the defeated white witch admonishes her successor of imperial realpolitik at the end of Dune Part Two. (How's that for a reversal of the moralistic speech concluding The Two Towers? Herbert's Cold War realism portends no less of a Republican victory than did the reanimation of Tolkien's World War II moralism two decades ago, but how different are today's Republicans?) I am personally ready for anything. Or at least I'm trying to put on a brave face. I have read Arendt and Adorno, not to mention Ruskin and Thoreau, and have every single fear about these developments everybody else does. Still, NRx might turn out to be a humanism after all, and therefore neither especially new nor meaningfully reactionary.
We see, now, events forced on which seem to retard or retrograde the civility of ages. But the world-spirit is a good swimmer, and storms and waves cannot drown him. He snaps his finger at laws: and so, throughout history, heaven seems to affect low and poor means. Through the years and the centuries, through evil agents, through toys and atoms, a great and beneficent tendency irresistibly streams.

[*] In Land's Compact articles on the English canon, he was so magnanimous as to promote Butler, alongside some nameless "Jews and Scots," into a DEI English "para-canon." Seeking to establish the paradox of a people-who-are-not-a-people, the maritime liberalism-imperialism of an "out-breeder culture," he identifies the central revolutionary dialectic within English literature, which can be described ethnically as Anglo vs. Norman, politically as left vs. right, religiously as Nonconformist vs. Anglo-Catholic, or aesthetically as Romantic vs. Classical, with the latter side relegated always to the role of ineffectual (indeed sabotaged) brake on history's runaway train. As I hinted in my most recent Invisible College lecture, you can use even Jane Austen to stage a global revolution. To this revolution are we "Jews and Scots" summoned, those of us who have spiritually interbred with this literature which was not the literature of our forefathers—my forefathers had no literature, you see, and so I had no choice—whether we are the Pole Conrad, the Dutch-American Melville, the African-American Butler, or the Italian-American Pistelli.

No, Trump will not bring on a genocide
That doesn't mean he'll be a great president. There are many enormous, glaring problems with his party right now. But for fucks sake.
I talk about my abusive mother a lot. One of the irritating things, the absolutely stupid things she does, is she's one of those people that jumps on far-right bandwagons that project their absurd rapturist end-of-days LARPing onto contemporary political events. So a new democratic president can never just be someone they don't want to win, no.
They have to be THE COMING OF THE ANTICHRIST! THE BEING THAT WILL USHER IN SEVEN YEARS OF TRIBULATIONS AND BROKEN SEALS OF THE HEAVENS AND DRAMA AND DEATH AND OCEANS OF BLOOD AND SUFFERING AND EEEEE-VIIIILLLLL.
I get enough of the doom and gloom LARPing from the religious assholes without supposedly "secular humanist or agnostic" people seeing Adolf Hitler or Mousellinii around every corner if it's a white man voting from right-wing interests. Sometimes the republican candidate is just an out of touch dude with beliefs you don't personally subscribe to, and that's okay. That's status quo, actually. You declaring it to be alarmist drek and a sign of "going in reverse OH NO" says more about your derangements than it does about yet another person in office that doesn't share your values.
And if I'm being honest, some of this shit should be viewed as OPPORTUNITY, not shit to mourn. The republican party does not have the votes necessary to make abortion illegal and banned. Stripping the adhesive bandage off Roe V. Wade means that we can actually legislate it into American law properly, to say nothing of the other shit they slashed and burned in law. Abortion is pretty much a figured out science, the only thing that isn't settled is when personhood should legally begin and when it becomes unjustified killing to destroy the fetus.
The biggest problem people like Trump cause is disruption of an ongoing attempt at power grabbing by some very shitty people that want the whole ball of wax under their ideological status. And the thing is, many of the things they claim to want, more liberal people also want. In more liberal ways. But Trump and republicans in general oppose the ways by which the idelogues want to change things. That, to them, is tantamount to resisting god and the angels themselves, to these people running around screaming about how Trump is waiting to put minorities into incinerators for the crime of not being cisgendered, heterosexual European-American males.
News flash: You don't HAVE to be so dramatic and ridiculous, the stupid bullshit they're already doing is material enough without adding defcon fears on everybody.
You could start by saying what'll happen to Ukraine if Trump is allowed to get in there and fuck it up. You could talk about exactly what he wants to do with the US-Mexico border and what negative problems that will cause. You could be less vague and less doom and gloom and actually spell out your problems in a coherent way without skipping to: "TL;DR, mass genocide and white supremacism!" you insufferable cunts.
There's plenty of actual problems with a Trump presidency you could be talking about and spell out what YOU want from the next election cycle without acting like some president-for-life aspires to get in there, because that's simply not going to happen. No matter how much you hate a bunch of milquetoast, delusional religious people and obnoxious pro-lifers, that doesn't make them a genocidal regime.
You give people like Trump license to see the absolute worst in you and your beliefs, when you jump straight to, "WE LOST!! WE'REALL GOING TO DIE TO A FASCIST, WHITE SUPREMACIST, QUEER HATING REGIME!" That makes Red Scare look like that mild concern someone has broken into your house you feel when you hear a noise. If you've ever uttered nonsense about Trump and co. being genocidal, I don't ever want to hear you try to take the high ground about how alarmist and delusional right-winged people are about any given milquetoast liberal candidate.
Mellow out.

Listen, I'm a Candace Owens hater like the next sane person, but seeing mixed women write down post making fun of her where their only angle is "this BLACK WOMAN is too ugly to have a White man" is not only very transparent of the typical non Black/mixed women obsession humbling Black woman attractiveness (notably from non Black men) but also the irony of feminists, complaining about the misogyny of anti feminist like Candace, to resort to typical misogynist arguments like "you're ugly/look like a man" "you'll never look White"
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd have so many things to say about how, regardless what they preach, mixed women have a resentment against Black women dating out (it's very ironic to see mixed people seethe about "race traitors" Blacks breeding with White people when their very existence is the result of such relationship - and many mixed ppl have racist/anti Black parent themselves so this whole bitterness screams like projection). Also I will never accept a mixed person calling a monoracial Black woman "race traitor" for dating out lmao Mixed people literally have that "treachery" in their genes but wanna call us traitors for what we do with our 🐱??? ILLEGAL.
Also taking the "white supremacism" angle to call out the misogyny of gossip blogger covering the Blake Lively/Baldoni case is hysterical considering that Blake herself has a history of being obsessed with the antebellum era, marrying on a slave plantation, and doing Black face is CRAZY.... Like, so many feminists out there think they doing something labelling as "misogynist" the people invested in that drama but had nothing to say about that awful article calling them "mommy sleuths" and didn't clock the ironically misogynistly condescending tone of that name choice 👀
And I HATE to admit I know this, but Candace has stated she (only) dated non Black men before her shooting to fame (notably Asian men) so OP argument that "White racists bullied/never wanted her" screams like a typical colorist projection. Candace visibly never struggled getting the romantic attention of non Black men. Alsolet's not act like whenever a Black woman suffered from the abuse of colorist black men and decided to stop dating them, she was accused of being a bed wench and a race traitor, so you can NEVER win with those people.... In the end of the day, they want to bully Black women into remaining in Blackistan misery at any cost.
OP defends herself saying she's doing what Candace herself does to other women (=pushing for tradional white feminity/that woman worth is their appearance/fuckability, or insinuating she's trans) but I can't help but see the pattern of mixed women being oddly comfortable questioning unambiguous Black women feminity & attractiveness....it was just a good opportunity for OP to express her deep seated disdain for Black woman by attacking a "bad" one who actually deserves it.
Oh and no comment to that person drawing a parallel between the Tate bro and Blake/Baldoni gossipers... The allegations against Bladoni are SH (not rape) and the Baldoni stans are defending him precisely because they don't believe he sexually harassed her - they're not defending him *despite* him (allegedly) sexually harassing her. Tbh this outrageous parallel tells me everything I need to know about the "feminists" brushing this case like a misogynist op - they can't even get those simple facts straight.

Dot and bubble
The last scene really was a whiplash scene.
Def think it's for a white audience. And maybe the whiplash is intended? But would have done a lot better if people hadn't been walking around the whole time and also if. If it had been less subtle. Just a lil. I did NOT notice much difference in Lindy's treatment of Ruby and the Doctor - there was a lot of childish snapping at both of them.
Would have thought it would've made WAY MORE SENSE to have Ricky survive and him being racist. Healthy, handsome, smart, learned, brave, good Ricky, just after he and Lindy heroically save each other from death. By the way, hes racist, as racist as Lindy and everybody else, and even the best this society has got to offer refuses to be saved by a black man or stay in the same room.
No suggestion why the dots didn't just knock people dead. Would've been easy to drop in the idea that the dots wanted them to suffer.
Great sci fi premise. Really awesome. The bubbles and the disgusting slow predators. The leap to the closing idea.... The whole society exterminates itself because of its supremacism. Good idea - but really should have i dont know. That moment was so emotional but it was emotional too soon. Like the Doctor and Ruby saw it coming. But I didn't see it coming. Would've liked less time spent on the middle bit and a little more on the end bit. So that...i dont know. I would've liked some more confusion from the Doctor. Less, insta-understanding. And maybe more... I don't know. Less sadness. More: hardness. But I guess we might not be doing that for fifteen. I would have liked to see it.

the reason white people get so angry about black people in any media but mostly movies and tv is NOT because they care about their “childhood’s being ruined” (???) or a “lack of representation” (which LOL bc a majority of media today is still majority white actors with white characters), it all goes back to white supremace ideals and the conspiracy of the “replacement theory”. like im sorry, no 45 year old white man with an angry youtube or twitter account ACTUALLY cares about ariel the little mermaid, a west end stage adaptation of romeo & juliet, or whoever is playing mj or iris west or batgirl, they just don’t want black people to be on screen. and no, they also don’t care about “creating original black characters” either bc if so, why did finn star wars get so much backlash and racism to the point where john boyega had to call them out repeatedly? why does miles morales get hate and is labeled as “not a real spiderman”? why does an award winning actress ayo edibiri get massive amount of online hatred and downplaying of the importance of sydney adamu in the bear?? it all boils down the racism.

I touched upon this a few nights ago, but
The people talking about Israel like it's an oppressive white supremacist force would've been treated like Charlottesville "Nazis" just 9 years ago, for any questioning of supporting Israel, "must be linked to antisemitism."
And that's what pisses me off, so much. That particular ideological bend comes from a passionate reactionary position of limited information and "publically acceptable" amount of outrage and dogmatism. If they decide you're somehow a Nazi even on the flimsiest of pretext, then they'll immaturely shout down every string of information you speak and think they're doing good works.
But lo and behold suddenly questioning Israel is A-OK if THEY do it, because "their motivations are pure." Whereas anyone outside their very specific ideology must be motivated purely by white supremacism and Nazism to do it.
I've seen people post the most asininely antisemitic conspiracy theories that you would've heard at any "unite the right" or "I'm not really white supremacist or religious conservative, I just think maybe the Jews shouldn't be given American or European money to prop up their regime anymore" brand alt-righters.
So congratulations you mouthbreathing morons, you actually agree with the alt-right and anyone that wants to see Israel dismantled and the Jews driven into the sea. You put on a bunch of pretensions that your desired outcome is pure and wholesome because you're correct, but in the end, it just boils down to, "Those Jews got a conspiracy operating in Hollywood, medicine and foreign affairs!" Turns out all you need to do is oppose religious Christian culture and cover your position in rainbows for your antisemitism to be palatable and disguise as something else.
You fuckers absolutely will not even entertain the idea of adult context or benefit of the doubt for motivations when it comes from an ideological other. These exact same sentiments that dare question something, and if it's not something approved of to be spoken of by far-left capital P Progress, it's untouchable without dying yourself as evil.
But the self-appointed progressives? Audacious enough to scream about Israel needing abolition and calling modern Israelis colonizers. Ho-ly-shit.
So as is typical, absolutely no big boy conversation topic can have higher brain function discussion or nuance unless it gets pre-approval from the nebulous group that dictates the lines in the sand for progressive political thought and reinforces it with invisible commisars of popular mean girl type bitches, all the way on down to the grass roots. That constant threat of unleashing weaponized ignorance and zealosness of a mob, but pretending it has no such responsibilty for that mob's actions, because, "that's just society. :^)"
"OUR book burnings are totally fine because WE'REdoing it in the name of equality and anti-bigotry!"
The last time communists and Nazis agreed on something, Poland got eifel towered.

Another Vampire: the Masquerade post
I stumbled upon a livestream video the other day that muttered about how the game treats European strains of vampirism as valid and non-European strains as illegitimate.
You have to understand that given the vague nature of their origin myths, the antediluvians, and how the creators are the bleeding heart hamfisted sorts that have pretty much turned the vampire myth into an allegory of white supremacist conspiracism, it only makes sense that kindred borrowing from judeo-christianity would have a very particular worldview that legitimizes the big clans of people sired by Caine.
It doesn't make the Laibon any less vampire, but it would make them less Cainite. The weird cladistic way vampirism works in V:tM means that there's weird ways in which the curse mutates and changes depending on the culture of those around them. It literally will change depending on human society at the time of embrace, if the difference is strong enough.
And given that the game has been leaning into the idea that 1.) the Antediluvians are not the be-all end-all of vampire clans, that they are people who did something to impose themselves over their descendants up to a number of generations 2.) These pacts and covenants are weakening in the weakest members and are being sloughed off 3.) that other antediluvians or equivalent may have existed that were not subject to or subjugated by Caine's brood.
But, it's a game starring a European fantasy creature. If not for that anti-European idea that Europeans have no valid culture or validly distinct mythological creatures, people would understand that writing a vampire as being tens of thousands of years old is no different from treating any given figure from Japanese or Chinese mythology as invalid because there's a certain level of chauvinism in national histories when it comes to their mythologies.
A Kitsune is thousands of years old, despite the fact the mythological thing was borrowed late from China and then fabricated within the last 5-8 hundred years or so. If we were to use the same limitations that are suggested for the European vampire, the Kitsune wouldn't be able to be portrayed as older than a few centuries at most, not a timeless magical creature as old as foxes.
We don't go, "Silly Japanese, your mythological creature isn't tens of thousands of years old. You don't get to inflate your worth or your mythology as that ancient." We just go with the idea the kitsune is time immemorial given the context of the mythology.
So in that context, being a European fantasy creature, it's no less valid and distinct than the Philipino Tikbalang, just because you have blood drinking magical monsters in other parts of the world. A European vampire is a European vampire. So, it's not chauvinism to treat a European vampire, and a blood drinking other creature, as being unrelated and not having a shared kind of undeath or origin. "These other things are bloodlines, but not proper European vampire clans" is not white supremacism, it's simply a statement of distinction.
So since the GAME is Vampire, things that are vampires have to fit into that mythological mold that treats the European vampire as the model. That means, other vampiric things either A.) need to be distinctly and specifically NOT vampires, just blood drinking and magical undead of other origins, or specifically BE vampires, and descendants of that European strain to some degree.
The alternative is to treat the European vampire as if it's subordinate to something else and fits into something elses mythology. We could pussyfoot around and give some halfassed excuse about why the namesake of the game doesn't get top billing or consideration as the prime subject, say, "this vampiric entity and cultural figure that is not European is older, so it gets more consideraiton as the original and more ancient mythological model of vampirism. It predates the European figure by millenia."
But the reality would just be invalidating the European vampire from its own franchise just to make it a platform for something else. Specifically, because it's not European.
I'm totally open to the idea of non-Judeo-Christian tradition vampires with different origin stories from Caine and his descendants, but we need to not pretend distinguishing them from being vampires is somehow white supremacist. It isn't. It keeps the mythological creatures distinguished.

^^^ THE JEDI ARE NOT EVIL!!! I HATE THIS SHIT SO FUCKING MUCH!!!
Ah, yeah, tell me you don't understand SHIT about the Galaxy Far Far Away without telling me.
I mean, obviously, the Jedi are evil, they teach emotional awareness and control in a communal environment, they strive to be better all the time, and they grow their children to be trauma free and to be able to help others, who would ever want for their kids? And don't get me started with Obi-Wan and Yoda, warning Luke that Vader is bad, that he wasn't ready to confront him, considering that he wasn't trained enough and that they couldn't tell him point blank that that murderer was his father. How rude of them to prepare him for the idea that there could be no good in him to the point that Luke could have to kill him just to defend himself. I mean, it's not like Obi-Wan himself witnessed Vader killing random people just to lure him from his hiding, dragging him into the fire just to make him suffer, watched him saying that there was no Anakin left in him because he killed him himself! How could Obi-Wan not see that Anakin was a victim at that point?
Ok, I'm being sarcastic, because it's incredible, even more now after the Kenobi series, that people still think that Jedi are arrogant, selfish and entitled. It's absolutely dumb. Or in bad faith, and I think that it's like that for a lot of these video makers, not to count how many of them reeks of fascism and white supremacism, especially when they totally forget the Asian cultures that have influenced the making of the Jedi Order.
George Lucas said it: the Jedi are the most moral people in the galaxy. He wanted the story to be about them and their struggle, how evil can rise against the light and wipe it by the hands of someone that was once a nice kid and was conscripted into the Sith by his greed for power. It's an easy story, told in black and white nuances because it was meant for kids to understand a simple moral story. There is no other way, no grey Jedi, no balance after what Anakin did to the Jedi order. And it was just for the great compassion of his son, who claims to be a JEDI, like his father before him, that Vader can overcome his own greed for power.
Vader wanted Luke to join him, defeat Palpatine and became the ruler of the Galaxy, and THIS is still greed for power, it's still his mindset, until the point when he sees Luke stop fighting, choosing peace and self-sacrifice instead of joining the dark side, that he stands against the Emperor.
I also think that Obi-Wan letting Vader kill him in front of Luke, two films prior, was a sort of lesson on the importance to accept defeat, of self-sacrifice for the sake of others, and Luke accepted and embraced it. He was willing to die, instead of choosing the path to the dark side, and that's something these people don't want to see because, in their eyes, their favourite baddie can't lose because he's wrong, he can only lose because the opponent is stronger, not because he's morally better. It's a sort of barbarian mindset, only the strongest will win, so if Luke doesn't want to fight anymore it means he's weak, so how can he win in the end?
My friend, it's really pointless to read these people or watch these videos. They don't want to understand, they are watching another franchise. One done in their head that doesn't match reality. Even if GL and all the authors are saying in simple terms that the story is about how good were the Jedi, they will never believe it, mostly because they don't want it, for whatever reason.
