It is very obvious to me that I like music that tells stories. (ALL music tells stories. Every song tells a story.) I like concept albums, I like musicals.

Therefore I find it very funny both that my favorite Mech’s album is one of the two that don’t have an overarching story *and* that my favorite My Chem album is the one that doesn’t have an overarching story.

Thank god I’m not the only person who’s sad about the avatar stuff being gone in fortnite. I joined in late which sucks, though I managed to get korra’s stuff. I’ve never played the game before until now. All because of avatar 😭

i do not talk about liking t@ylor sw!fts music much because i dont really agree with how shes handled politics and her platform, and i know ive seen hate for her on my dash and i do not think she is the best artist of all time, but i think you can like artists and music critically and the things you enjoy do not have to be 100% pure and without issue

however i am now gonna rant about the aspects i like because i do really enjoy her music, cause its catchy and the lyrics are easy to remember and i think at least her most recent songs are very musically good And i literally had her first 3 albums on cd as they came out and theyre ingrained in my brain from listening to them way too much

but i think the reason i really enjoy the whole, fandom of it is theres just SO much lore and my favorite thing is easter eggs and lore and there being meaning behind lyrics because thats often what im listening to and enjoy, and her fandom is quite extreme sometimes but i just find a lot of joy in the whole concept

tho i will say the one part of the fandom i do not enjoy is the ones insisting shes secretly queer and got mad at her for saying she was straight cause lmao Yikes

i honestly cringe at myself being extremely against her in like 2017-2018, because it wasnt even for valid criticisms it was because of the one very antisemetic rapper which... i wasnt even a fan of him i just was so ingrained in the tumblr culture of this person did something bad Theyre bad and everything they make is bad, which turns out wasnt the case anyway

anyway i got back in with folklore and evermore because it feels like they were specifically written for me to enjoy and obsess over and theyre so good

and the vault songs from the releases are absolutely incredible and nostalgic and i love the lore

the lore is just so fun i cant think of other artists that do what she does as well as she does and i think thats why i like her music
