Thank Heavens for not another Glaciator ep in S6, I hate that hoe.

I actually liked the Glaciator episodes. Elation was one of the best episodes of season 5

Bear in mind it doesn't have to he someone turning to the camera and listing off his high crimes and misdemeanors, just as it wouldn't have to be for Marinette or any other character. It's how they're handled in context.

favorite side of the LS? mine used to be ladynoir because first season mostly did it pretty nicely (except copycat, volpina and idk if any other), but ever since glaciator ran the that into the ground it’s been marichat just because it’s the least botched (weredad side eye) and to me is kinda cute. like adrienette is so obviously the writers’ friend group’s OTP it’s beyond sad (and well the writing for it is mostly bad), and ladrien barely exists to the writers, and when it does it’s the most unwatchable or boring scenes imaginable (case in point, chat blanc)

I’ve been a marichat gal since their first ep, not bc they have a special romantic chemistry or anything like that (though I have to admit I was not immune to falling for the true selves schtick back in the S1 days) but rather bc they were the funniest dynamic. Ladynoir obvi had the closest relationship in the square and had the most delightful chemistry prior to the Drama so they’re second. I guess adrinette gets 3rd and ladrien 4th but to me they’re almost tied bc they got negative screen time and development rip.

I mean to be fair, rebelling against an abusive parent isn't easy.

No, it isn't, and I'm not saying it is.

But I'm focusing on the show itself and how it's handling this character in this situation, and at the core of this show, this isn't done to truly represent that, it's done to just drag things out for as long as possible because they don't want to change the status quo. It's too hard for them to have things work differently, which is why Mayura, who was built up to be worse than HM and his boss, didn't shake things up at all, served HM, and was essentially another HM/extension of him.

That's also why they waited until s5 to finally have Adrien and Marinette date cause they wanted to drag out that circling square until what was supposed to be the final season. For Sabrina to drop Chloe after 4 seasons of her being an eager devotee only now is suddenly not ok with what Chloe (and Lila) have her do cause s5 was supposed to be the final season and NOW they can address that whole mess, and speed run that. And it's why NOW they do Lila finally exposed when it should've been much sooner when Alya discovered Marinette was Ladybug. But we got bs of Alya still siding with Lila cause they wanted to save it for s5.

But, back on topic...

Realistically, with Adrien paired with a kwami that's tied to an animal that is independent, goes where it pleases, and known to be rebellious and fights back when it doens't like what you're doing (like hissing and scratching and escaping), Adrien should've picked up from Plagg a means to rebel against his father sooner. Especially since they go a route of heroes learning from kwamis. Marinette listens to Tikki, so Adrien at some point should listen to Plagg. And if they REALLY cared for Adrien to get out of that bad situation, late s2, at the earliest, is when Adrien started to really rebel more, why, they have a few eps establishing him rebelling early on, so it could've worked in him rebelling sooner. Origins he runaways to go to school, even pre Plagg. Simon Says sets up Adrien's open to withdraw from Gabriel and is sour with him. There's Gorizilla to work off of too with him going to check out that film despite his father disapproving. And Glaciator! Gabriel supposedly told Adrien he couldn't leave the house, well he goes out as Chat anyway (for the maybe date). There is something there to work off of, for him to rebel soooo much sooner than s5.

But nah, this show wanted to save that for what was supposed to be the last season, and have it all tied to Adrien being in love than actually wanting to better his situation for himself.

Are that any MLB characters that WON'T appear in any way in your AU? (You mentioned Marinette is not in Paris, does that mean she'll not even appear? Or will she switch places with zoe/Have went do NY because of the fashion career Audrey has offered her?)

Also, You mentioned something about keeping the specials. Are you gonna keep all of them? Are you including all the special characters? And most importantly, are you keeping the Prodigious and the heroes of NY or are you changing that?

And will you only use the main miracle box, or will you somehow plan/write other boxes as well (like the NY one)?

There are some I wish I didn't put in, like Andre (Glaciator) or Marinette's grandfather (Bakerix), and they might appear, but some of them wouldn't be very relevant, I think they'd still have to appear even minimally. Oh, the guy of Action, he definitly will not appear. About Marinette, she'll appear, but not at the beginning of the comic, since she went to Shanghai, the most I can say is that apart from being nothing to do with fashion, it was more like therapy than a hobby, apart from her meeting Fei. Oh, and Zoé is in Paris, sort of a "supervisor" for Chloé. And about the part of me saying that Derision is canonical, I'm only referring to the flashback part, because, even if the characters are 2 years older, I'm considering the beginning of the origins as the beginning of the comic, so what happened to Marinette in this ep, that originally she would have been 12 years old, happened with her being 14/15 years old (I'm sorry for leaving this information a bit ambiguous).

Regarding the specials, I was referring to the specials I created "chaotic weekend" and "worst choices" (again sorry for leaving it ambiguous), I can't say much about them, as for the official specials, I can even fit them into the story, really, it would work very well for the development of some characters, thanks for the idea! If I were to put it in, the only one I wouldn't put in would be the one in Paris/the reverse, because considering the powers of miraculous, at least in this universe, it wouldn't be possible to see the villainous holders. About the prodigious, I can see it happening, of course with a big change in the story, and a bit of how it works, as well as the change in appearance, not to mention that Kwami guardian, I would love to use, but that will be a bit later for me to define these new specials. No kidding, but I hate the way they did the New York special, everyone is a hero? No secret identity? With powers? It's nice that they established the idea that there are other jewels, and it's nice that they showed that there aren't just miraculous, like in the case of prodigious, but now, you can just born with powers, that's something that really bothers me, most of them have powers, I'll see what I can do about it, but depending, I'll create new jewels or miraculous to justify it. Obs: if the Brazil special comes out and I like it, maybe I'll put in.

My initial idea is only for the main box, which in the story is just a cluster of "domains", being separated into Yin-Yang, Elementals and Zodiac. Well… about other boxes and miraculous, it would depend a lot, as I said, the case of NY, maybe, outside of that, I doubt it very much, but maybe, who knows.

just letting you know that I'm currently rewatching MLB Season 4 and yesterday it was time for Ephemeral and Kuro Neko!!! and let me tell you!!! both episodes make me go FERAL like I don't even know where to start. The way they both deal with central themes of the season, focus on Maribug's and Adrichat's individual arcs, and also tie back to the first two episodes of the season, like, uuuuughhhh. Yeah. I could write an essay on this but maybe not on anon in your inbox. Do you have any favourite episodes or moments in the forth season? <3

oh and I was with a friend who's watching MLB for the first time and after we had finished Kuro Neko she left the room while shouting "THIS IS NO LONGER A FUCKING KIDS SHOW" asdfsadasdfsf. What a mood

TO ANSWER UR QUESTION yes i have favorites in s4 for sure!! off the top of my head im very VERY fond of psycomedian bc of angry ladybug (it cracks me up so bad) and i also LOVE glaciator 2. and honestly im a huge fan of the first 3-4 episodes i just think they are so banger and all in a row like that like wow! also episodes like kuro neko r life changing. number one moment of the season tho? that goes to Ladynoir Hug at the end of strikeback. the way she looks at him and falls so fully and utterly in love and he engulfs her in a tight, TIGHT embrace, picking her up and saying You Still Have Me right at her LOWEST MOMENT where she thinks she doesnt deserve anything at all, least of all HIM, but he’s the one thing she gets to keep…….. outsold

We all reserve a second chance. Whether it’s something we did or said, a second chance let’s us know that that person learned from their mistakes and can improve with time. The Snake Miraculous let’s us accomplish that. It represents rebirth, patience, intuition, healing and being of a sinister nature. Adrien realized he wasn’t cut out for this kind of power and suggested Luka for it instead (“Desperada”). It was through this power that he also discovered our heroes identities (“Wishmaker”). However, Luka is trustworthy and can keep a secret and if this power were to be in the hands of a villain, they would win! Or would they? Let’s see:

*Intuition-You’d think with almost all the miraculouses that can make you have the high advantage such as the Tiger (“Exaltation”), Monkey (“Derision”), Monarch would be victorious to win, but instead, he failed. Well guess what!? He also has the Snake which resets time in order to try again and counter attacks, but low and behold, HE’S BEEN USING THEM THIS WHOLE F*CKING TIME AND HE STILL FAILED! Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! Ladybugs Lucky Charm power adapts to whatever situation calls for the change and that’s why Butterfly Boy kept losing! That’s the power of luck baby!😉 Wonder if he used the Snake in the other eps like “Migration”?

Nathalie says to just quit already cuz Gabes condition is getting worse (“Destruction”), spreading to his internal organs! Which will eventually lead to “you-know-what” cuz time doesn’t give his body a Second Chance using the Snake Miraculous. He can’t have his akumatized victims use it out of fear they’ll betray and use that miraculous against him and neither he nor Nathalie can use it themselves cuz both are getting weaker and weaker as time goes on and soon they’ll be joining Emilie in a Sleeping Beauty like state! If that’s the case, who’ll watch over Adrien!? His bodyguard!?🤨

Before that question could be answered by the golden boy himself, his gf calls and mentions Max’s mother, Claudie Kanté, the astronaut (“Startrain”), is gonna be testing out a new spaceship AI named Ada in space by Tomoe Tsurugi’s company and then, LIGHT BULB!💡Butterfly Boy gets idea and akumatizes the ship making them believe Claudie is dead and using their sorrow to become Bugfighter! A Transfor- Decepticon like villain that tries to defeat the dynamic duo…….from the statement I just mentioned in the beginning of the Ep, you can tell how this is gonna go, so that’s why I’m not bothering much with writing this review.

To us, we saw how Glaciator and Dark Humor were guided into avoiding defeats by the heroes with Monarch using the Snake Miraculous until “God-knows-how-many-times” he just finally threw his hands and said, “F*ck it!”. We were experiencing the effects with the heroes when those first occurred and those were actually the last attempts! How fun!😁. Ladybugs Lucky Charm power is the most brilliantly used weapon as it produces a new charm to defeat the villains instead of using the same one from last time with the Second Chance power! Wow! Impressive! It’s not just her Lucky Charm, Monarch has also tried separating the dynamic duo, but even that doesn’t make his job easier. He realized this when for that one incident, Astrocat made a Second Chance happen for himself to stop Monarch until he (Monarch) thought of something else. Why didn’t he (Astrocat) take the reconfigured miraculouses when they were just right there!? Eh! They’d probably write something to explain that. Phffft! With each Second Chance, Monarch grows weak, not cuz he doesn’t have the strength to continue to use it, but it worsens his condition which is why Nat told him to lay off. He would’ve listened had he not already succumbed to madness and desperation with every opportunity he saw that may give him a chance to accomplish his goal to bring back Emilie, but his care for his well being and logical thinking was thrown out the window ages ago! (it got to a point where after a few Second Chances, Gabe swallowed his pride and confessed to Tomoe Tsurugi, that he was slowly dying and thus needed Ada’s password to hack her for another one of his schemes….then made her forget the conversation using Second Chance. Guy’s afraid to show vulnerability over here😒) :P. Speaking of logic, when Monarch tried to guide Bugfighter into countering Cosmobugs moves, Bugfighter would question it cuz it didn’t make sense to them thus realizing they’d been duped and free themselves from akumatization (Monarch shut down the biometric sensors to lead Ada into thinking Claudie was dead even though she was inside and when Cosmobug noticed a way to convince Bugfighter that Claudie was alive, without her Lucky Charm, Monarch tried to prevent it from happening, but he couldn’t figure a way to dance around it to Bugfighter cuz why would there be a need for them to do this action if “no one” was in the ship!? Thus, realization, thus defeat, thus he f*cked himself over!). Butterfly Boy isn’t as smart as we thought he was! HA! This also means with each failed Second Chance and Monarch just giving up already, there was no actual akumatized villain this episode! (second to “Cat Blanc”) In the end, Nat tells Gabe to just quit this bad guy business again and just go have a croissant with Adrien while he still has time to be with him and be a good father which looks like he’s willing to try! (long pause and big laughter) YEAH RIGHT! I’ve been spoiled by this season! There’s no way he’s gonna go through with that! (laughter ensues).
