Personal feelings about a fictional character time!

Ren went through a lot, and has come out the other side surprisingly well put together and firm in his beliefs.

But because of this he often feels like a parent rather than a child, and that breaks my heart a bit. Responsible, collected, dismissing feelings and leaning on facts to keep himself and others from flying off the handle.

Tranquility feels like both a blessing and a curse as a semblance, and I don’t often see that point brought up.

Yeah, it’s incredibly useful for keeping everyone safe, and has consistently saved lives... but it also seems to mute Ren overall, which makes those moments of negative emotional outbursts he has (although rare) far more explosive.

It’s pretty easy to forget how young Ren is because of this, and it makes the times where you DO remember how old he is more hurtful. He had to grow up in an instant and it definitely feels like he’s still paying for having to do that.

There is nothing quite as painful as having having to grow up long before you should have had to.

As for the head canon of enby Ren, I dig it!

happy trans sun movement day everyone!!

a year ago today, members of the rwby fandom banded together to draw and talk about trans sun in retaliation to user epikbecky (now transjnpr) receiving harassment and hate for psoting the hc on the rwby subreddit. today, we do it again. or at least i sure hope so! because it would be fun and i created this day and i want to. also it's the 18th so if it's late for you guys still living in the 17th, you have all of tomorrow!!

dovewing ships?

dovebriar and doveblossom!!! dovebriar is def more a comfort thing and they make me feel v happy n safe bc they’re so wholesome

but doveblossom is like.... wow. thats Good. also @/epikbecky pointed out like a year ago that in bramblestar’s storm blossomfall stared and dovewing and was like “i didnt think dovewing was right for bumblestripe cuz... shes always been a bit different, hasn’t she?” which is pretty damn Gay. i think abt that post a lot im ngl

as for, like, more canon dovewing ships..... bumbledove can die i rlly dont like bumblestripe AT ALL. at first i thought he was sweet but he just got worse and worse

i have a love-hate relationship w/ tigerdove. i dont rlly LIKE tigerheart i thought he was kinda annoying/just generally an asshole (esp in the later books). but he also clearly rlly loves dovewing like a lot??? and thats super sweet. so ya part of me rlly resents tigerdove bc i found the ship SUPER annoying when i first read abt it and i guess thats always stuck with me. but then the other part thinks they r very cute
