like i can soooo see ran trying to make a closed species but it falls flat and people start accusing them of either plagiarism because an equally as uncreative species already exists and they have to write an apology publically addressing that he didnt know it already was real and they go offline for like 2 days and people think they killed themselves. ue also used ;-; at least once in that apology
and slimecicle DEFINITELY had YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT as his tagline and he so headcanoned ben drowned as a weed smoker .def overuses the :la: emoticon. he draws like candy gore but its GREEn its all fucking green man. slime loves green. people tell him to go to therapy under a post he made abt how INSANE he is and he XDDDDDDD spams them and starts beef and its a question of why are adults beefing wth like a 12 year old creepypasta artist. sorry that sounds awfully specific and personal huh i wonder where that came from- slimes not 12 hes like 15. doesnt mske it better. oh great im making them teenagers now. i mean thats prime deviantart slop age . anyway
ranboos a queen of comment user, charlie wants LLAMA4LLAMA TRADEs, both of them make subpar adoptables for 30 points and get haggled down to 20. they get core once and charlie makes his profile a health hazard even for someone who doesnt have epilepsy. rans got a custom box for a garfield shrine. ranboo likes marble hornets anr hes watched the real thing but they still draw masky as a twink. they wish they could live in the slendermansion

Welcome to my ADA Comply 2.0 review!
WOW! Stats don’t lie…
In the United States alone:
1 in 5 people with one form of disability or the other.
8.1 million people are visually impaired
2 million people are blind
3.4 million (3%) Americans aged > 40 yrs are legally blind
7.6 million have auditory impairment
1 in 5 suffer seizures & epilepsy
19.9 million people are motor impaired and may not be able use a mouse very well.
Right now, the disabled market is valued at $600 billion online. That’s BILLIONS with a capital ‘B’.
If you sell anything online (products or services) you need a website. If your website is not easy for disabled people to use, then you are leaving money on the table.
With ADA Comply, you will be able to tap into this HUGE untapped market by improving the accessibility of your website.
It has just released the new version 2.0 with more powerful features included. So, let’s read my ADA Comply 2.0 review below to find out more!

#1. What’s new in ADA Comply 2.0?
For those who don’t know, ADA Comply is an accessibility software that renders websites and web contents ADA compliant just by pasting a single line of code on the website. And it has just released the new version 2.0!
Now, in ADA Comply 2.0 you can even find unlimited Leads & Prospects in any local area. These are HOT potential customers because the app only shows you results of websites that are NOT optimized for ADA Compliance and are therefore at risk of being sued.
You will also receive a thorough report of everything the site is missing – this report can then be sent to your Leads & Prospects.
From there, you can easily earn thousands of dollars from helping their website ADA compliant.
Here are just some benefits of an ADA-Compliant website:
Avoid lawsuits. (More than 10k websites have been sued alone this year for failing to comply with the ADA & this number will skyrocket by 2020)
Rank higher on the search engines. (Google loves accessible websites)
Tapped into the $650 billion per year untapped disability market.

#2. Who is the creator of ADA Comply 2.0?
ADA Comply 2.0 was created by Mario Brown (a well-known marketer), Ifiok Nkem (a 6-figure marketer)  & Vaughn Item (a 5-figure freelancer), who I understand they have invested tens of thousands of dollars into its development and have been improving since the first launch.
Therefore, they have released version 2.0, except improving the existing features and making the system completely seamless… They have integrated the extremely powerful Lead Generation system that you’ll be discovered below.
So, it proves that ADA Comply 2.0 is an amazing tool that’s here to stay and is constantly being maintained and updated.
Well! In the next section of this ADA Comply 2.0 review, I’ll show you how this new version all works.
#3. How does ADA Comply v2.0 work?
ADA Comply works in just 3 easy steps & takes a minute:
Step#1: Add a new website to your ADA Comply dashboard with the web URL address.
Step#2: Click to copy the code to your website.
Step#3: Paste the code in your website’s footer.
That’s all! Your website is now fully ADA compliant.
ADA Comply comes with a number of web accessibility tools:
Text to speech
Zoom feature
Cursor select
Reader font
Highlight feature
Alt text for all images and graphics
Dark mode
Auto-create an accessibility compliance statement
And a whole lot of other features necessary to satisfy the ADA compliance requirements!
That’s the whole process of ADA Comply, but as I said in version 2.0 with the Lead Generation App integrated & here’s a detailed demo video of this new app:

In the next section of this ADA Comply 2.0 review, I will show you more details about how to use the application with my experience.
#4. User experience as a Beta tester
ADA Comply Setup
The ADA Comply app & lead gen system in the version 2.0 works really simple. Below is the dashboard once you logged in:
Here you can simply ‘Add Website’, fill out the info then click on ‘Next’ and you’ll get a CODE immediately.
Then go to your website, paste that little script into the Footer (or a specific post/page) & DONE. This is how fast you can make your website ADA compliant!
Just reload your website and take a look at the left bottom, you’ll see a small ability icon of ADA Comply. That’s all!
You can use this WordPress plugin to add to the Footer easier: Insert Headers and Footers.
So, there are 8 Accessibility Settings will be displayed on your website if you click on that icon:
Text to Speech (TTS)
Display
Magnify
Text Spacing
Highlight Links
Cursor
Readable Font
Headlines
Thus, people with disabilities can customize your website easily with ADA Comply to better suit their problems.
Site Widget & Policy Statement
If you want to change the icon color or change the position or just enable which functions you want, go ahead in ‘Site Widget’ > ‘General Settings’.
And you can also generate a policy statement in ‘Policy Statement’ tab > Fill out some information > It will give you an Accessibility Policy URL. You can copy these text or just link your Policy page to that URL as well.
Business Search Beta
That’s the first part of this application, now I’m gonna show you the second part is the Business Search Beta feature. This is a very interesting one because you can use this app for your own websites (business or personal) or also use this app to sell this service as a business.
Because as we all know, a lot of websites out there are NOT compliant so this is where ADA Comply 2.0 comes in. And this is also a HUGE potential opportunity for us.
Find Business
Let’s go to the Business Search Beta as the image below…
Enter keywords (eg: orthodontist,..)
Choose the location (eg: CO – Colorado,..)
Submit search
In this example, it’s going to search for businesses that are an orthodontist in Colorado within a few seconds.
As you can see, it also includes Website & Revenue Bracket so you can see exactly what their website is & what they have in revenue.
But the cool things is that you click on the little icon ‘View’ in the ‘Actions’ column, you can get all the information from this business, even get the contact name.
Generate Report
What you can do is you can ‘Generate Web Accessibility report’ when you click on the button right there as the image above to generate a report of this specific website.
Well, as you see in this case, this website Wardortho(dot)com has a lot of ‘HIGH’ warnings that means it’s not ADA compliant now.
Now click on ‘Export to PDF’ then fill out your business details that will be attached in the PDF file, to help clients can contact you easily if they want to make their website ADA compliant by you.
Let’s see how beautiful the PDF look like, your business details will be attached at the bottom. Now you can send this over to your new potential clients.
With Business Search Beta feature, you can find a huge database of businesses that you can approach and tell them that their website is not ADA compliant, then SELL this service to them and make huge profits from there.

The evening had started as it normally did for Adam. In today's case, it started with him lounging in a ragged and worn sofa, draped in various blankets. Nothing overly pricey, he could tell just from a quick glance, running it through his free hand, the other lazily holding tight to a handgun, He rarely visited clients without one, especially in cases where they were threatening his business.
" Mr.Thorne, I'm sure word has gotten around by now that this side of the city is strictly prohibited from other vendors. There are plenty different sections up for grabs, especially the west. I'm sure your humble drug ring would do much better there, besides, I'm not a fan of my consumers being active users of hard substances. Substances that you, intend to have popped, Injected, and smoked, by my devoted following. You see, If they become hooked on such unhealthy obsessions, they will forget what their money could be buying." Adam breathed out as he sat up,
Adam's piercing cerulean eyes locked on the shivering and sniveling heap that was Matthew Thorne. He was a short and stocky man, heavy enough, balding. All signs could have pointed to this being his last shot at succeeding at something. He seemed like the kind of fellow who often had issues in seeing a task through. His headquarters were in some cheap rented out basement, beginners equipment mixed with litter, dirty dishes, and unorganized boxes of product. The only light sources came from a tiny window on the one wall, and a couple lone light bulbs. One of them was flickering in an annoying manner, and could have given someone an epilepsy an attack.
It did not take long for Mr. Thorne to start pleading for his life, begging for forgiveness from his faceless assailant. Before Adam even entered the area, he had two of his men blindfold and bind the man. Not so much to hide his identity, but more so to invoke fear and put Matthew in a life threatening situation. He didn't get to the tier he was without spilling a little blood after all. And what was a job without it’s thrills?
The second most entertaining thing for Adam to witness, were men like Matthew fighting to keep their meaningless lives, just so they could continue the downward spiral, hopeful that their regular habits will make a change in the long run. He could see in their eyes, mannerisms, and expressions whether or not they genuinely wanted to live and make a change, or if they were just afraid of death. In Matthew's case, he could tell the distributor wanted to make something of himself, so he fully intended to let him go, but not without a slap on the wrist for invading his territory.
Taking to his feet he clicked his tongue and tutted. It was a shame he had worn his nice Oxfords too.
~~~
Hunched over in the alleyway, Adam was doubled over and taking a handkerchief to his Oxfords. Tucked away in his pocket were two of Matthew's molars, a form of payment for inconveniencing the busy man. He hated having to remind the general public just who they were screwing with. It shouldn't be all that difficult to remember, he had eyes and ears everywhere, advertising who ran these streets. So it wasn't like anyone could use that as an excuse, everybody who was in that sort of illegal business knew. Matthew was no exception, having arrived only a couple weeks ago to the sinful side of the city.
One of the intimidating well dressed men had just gotten off the disposable phone, giving away Matthew's location, where an ambulance would be headed. Should he have to come back to the musty basement, Adam would be leaving with more than some teeth, and Matthew would be picked up in a hearse in a worst case scenario. Tossing the scarlet stained handkerchief to the littered concrete floor, Adam stood straight and adjusted his gloves, watching as the taller of the two tossed the phone to the ground before smashing it below their feet relentlessly. Erik watched quietly before directing his attention to the sky. It was cloudy and the winter weather had finally caught up it seemed, as flurries fell from the sky softly. It was almost hard to imagine that yesterday's sky was bright blue with fat fluffy clouds overhead. Everything seemed so monochromatic today. They were going to have to wait till the later hours for colors to start popping up, and then their work day could begin.
Now that he thought of it, he hadn’t received any more alerts of misbehavior in town, perhaps he should take advantage of this free time. Dismissing the two men who had accompanied him, he retreated to the warmth of his car, parked far enough away to keep him from getting in trouble. Rubbing his hands together in the drivers seat, he stared out at the falling snow, silently thinking of where he should visit. Still fresh out of a relationship, he wasn’t really in the mood to seek out Belle, he was still tired of her to want her company any time soon. Upon bringing her up though, he had recalled her saying something about a friend who worked at a bakery on the nice side of town.
Perhaps his motive was to annoy his ex and get under her skin, but mostly, he just wanted a warm cup of coffee and shelter from the weather. So, he sought out the simple bakery, his only clue snippets of conversation and hoping something might catch his attention. After about half an hour of getting over to the nicer side of the city, and an hour of stalking streets of boutiques, local businesses and every other coffee shop the city had, he was nearly ready to call it quits and just find some bar. By some stroke of luck though, Belle’s hideous bright yellow beetle sat parked just outside a cozy looking establishment.
Parking across the street, not wanting to provoke Belle into damaging his own car by ‘accident’, he stepped out, and read aloud the name of the bakery. “Little Red’s Sweets. How cute.” He snickered, crossing the street and opening the door, not surprised to hear the jingle of a bell upon entering. It wasn’t a large building, so it didn’t take him long to find Belle sitting at a booth, a bright smile on her face, and cup of tea, likely, warming her hands. She must not have been here long, cheeks still pink from the chill.
Cocking his head, and raising a brow, he then acknowledged the woman standing next to Belle’s booth. A lithe red head who wore an apron stood, the two looking to be in the middle of an exchange. Could this be her wonderful friend that he had heard about? What he held onto at least. It did not take long for Belle to take notice of the figure by the doorway, and for the real fun to begin.
But every game and consoles have a warning for epilepsy. I don't think it would have changed anything because people know already that games can trigger seizures. Fire can burn you, games can trigger seizures. Anyone who sees "this game can cause seizure" thing will say "oh so like any other game" and will probably not care. I see that warning signs I'm grown enough to be able to read, it's everywhere, on ever games and every box.
These are the EULA conditions of the game btw.
Tumblr media
Like I can't say that people often read the user terms agreements, but again, epilepsy and video games have a long lasting friendship of warnings.
They're currently working on a solution to either warn people or prevent the issue (wasn't specified which one). They can't do much more than that either in the end.
How in the world did CDPR get this game past compliance, holy shit
Product flows continued
Expanding on the earlier product flows, I split the application into individual feature flows, which will be used like Lego blocks to be pieced together later.
One thing to note is that I’m keeping the application extremely straightforward, all contained onto one screen, but all the feature use progressive disclosure to only show what is relevant.
The first section that I looked at was loading and onboarding, the idea being that when you load into the app, a series of modals explain the product, giving you an idea of what to expect. Before being able to continue, a confirmation box warns that the visuals may not be suitable for people with epilepsy etc.
Tumblr media
The top section of the main app is extremely simple, only housing the key key actions of connecting and uploading a sound input (mp3, microphone, or MIDI).
Tumblr media
The bottom control panel houses the bulk of the features, but smoothly expands to reveal more controls. One item in particular that I looked at is the clipping function. The user will have the ability to save a clip of the past 60 seconds as an mp4, with the ability to show and hide a watermark.
What are Cannabinoids and How Do They Work?
Cannabinoids are naturally gifted in plants of the cannabis L species. We absorb them when we consume cannabis, depending on precisely what is consumed and how. The human body also produces moon rocks. We are likely to discover other characteristics, benefits, and forms of cannabinoids buying moon rocks in the future.
These Cannabinoids are a natural chemical compound that acts on cannabinoid receptors present in the human body and the body of other mammals. Cannabinoids receptors have a direct effect on the release of neurotransmitters in the brain. In other words, they influence the way the brain processes information and chemical compounds.
The primary cannabinoid receptors that we know have been called CB1 and CB2. They are found in different brain and nervous system areas, which means that they can control various functions and affect other health aspects (although both receptors are known to work together in some instances).
The most popular cannabinoids today are THC, known for their psychoactive properties, girl scout cookie wax, and CBD, famous for its potential medicinal benefits that continue to increase. There are tons of other cannabinoids - so far, scientific research has identified 113 different cannabinoids.
Where are Cannabinoids Found?
1. In plants
Cannabinoids can be found in greater or lesser quantity in all varieties of the Cannabis Sativa L plant. Other plants also produce cannabinoids, but not to the same extent (and not in the same way) as cannabis or hemp moon rock for sale.
2. In the human body
Cannabinoids naturally made by the physique are referred to as endocannabinoids. This cannabinoid network and its corresponding cannabinoid receptors are called the endocannabinoid system. This system is essential for the proper functioning of our body. A clinical deficiency of the endocannabinoid system has been associated with several diseases and disorders. For example, cystic fibrosis (CF) could be due to a dysfunctional endocannabinoid system.
What Do Cannabinoids Do?
Early stages of development
Research has already shown that cannabinoids are an intrinsic part of our body's most essential functions from the earliest stages of life. A properly functioning endocannabinoid system is critical for embryo implantation and triggering breastfeeding's automatic response, leading to breastfeeding.
Neuroprotective and appetite-stimulating properties Current research on diseases such as dementia or other neurodegenerative disorders has confirmed the neuroprotective effects of cannabis. Several cannabinoids, mainly psychoactive, have been linked to neuroprotection, most notably THC, THCA, and possibly THCV. The last two have a structure very similar to that of THC.
THCV is also known to reduce appetite, a property shared by other cannabinoids like anandamide. It is known that anandamide, an endogenous analogue of THC, with 2-AG, interacts with CB receptors in the central nervous system and peripheral.
Many more properties can be attributed to THC and CBD, and slactavis syrup, all the cannabinoids above: they mitigate nausea, reduce inflammation, relieve spasms, etc. Cannabinoids have been linked to several important diseases, including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy, asthma, and many more. Our other products moon rocks for sale, buying moon rocks, moon rocks drug for sale, natural moon rocks for sale, moon rocks weed for sale, buy moon rocks weed, where to buy moon rocks, buy moon rock, buy a moon rock, buy moon rocks, moon rock buy, moon rock for sale.
We have information on other cannabinoids that research is not currently focusing on. Some of these are cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabidivarin (CBV), and cannabicyclol (CBL). In most cases, these cannabinoids share properties that have already been confirmed in more potent cannabinoids (such as THC and CBD, preferred by the media). However, at the moment, they are not being investigated enough, which means that we will have to wait to find out more about these mysterious compounds!
Vaporize
Vaporizing cannabis is, as far as we know, the best method to optimize the absorption of cannabinoids. Plus, it's a healthier method of use that can satisfy most, including those who can't smoke cannabis due to lung-related medical problems.
Cannabinoid Research vs Ban
Cannabinoids are part of a wide range of research. Unfortunately, due to the current illegal status of the cannabis plant in most countries, it can be difficult to find plant material that they can use legally for research.
In many countries, associations, and even political parties, try to focus on advances in cannabinoid research. Medical professionals demand more information, more clinical trials, or anything else to advise their patients better.
Despite this, to date, only a handful of cannabinoid-based medications are available to patients. Although the legalization of cannabis is advancing at great speed, at least when compared to a decade ago, it may take a few more decades before things change, and cannabinoids are socially acceptable without weighing them down—the type of cliche associated with cannabis.
Until then, standard drug tests continue to include cannabis, so the topic of how to remove cannabis from our system is trendy.
The smoke itself is not a good habit. You can not only get sick with it but also develop an addiction. But now, there is also hemp cigarettes, mainly for smokers. However, these should not be consumed in the same way as regular cigarettes. What else you should consider if you want to order Hemp cigarettes, you can read here now.
What is The Hemp Valuable Cigarette For?
A hemp Cigarette is a Cigarette that you buy with tobacco from the hemp plant. But this is not just about cigarettes. In these, there is no THC, but only CBD, and that is legal. One must also pay attention to how high the THC concentration in this drug is. Because only then can you judge how good the Cigarette is. Usually, this should contain no THC at all. However, this is not possible at all, and therefore one must expect to have a small component in the Cigarette nevertheless. The bet won't take addiction, of course. He's just going to move them.
Nevertheless, it is appropriate to choose this option. Because with this variant, one can also learn to be freed from other Pains. But these Pain are not treated but alleviated. Treatment is usually successful, but this will not happen here. You have to know that you may be dealing with a replacement drug. It should be essential to find an excellent solution to this, and that should use it well. It's the only way to make things better.
Where can you get hemp cigarettes to buy?
Buying hemp or cigarettes is a good thing. Still, you have to know where to do it. There's a global way to do that. So you can find some suitable suppliers here in Germany. Also, in Austria and Switzerland, some dealers offer these cigarettes. A box is entirely yours, so you have to know that you have to have a lot of money here. Also, you should not simply use them as you please. Considering how expensive these cigarettes are, you should manage them well. But don't forget, you can get relief with this. The manufacturers, of course, want to sell something, and that becomes clear quickly if you take a look at these articles.
How Good are These Cigarettes with Hemp?
CBD can use cigarettes with hemp quite well. They are perfect because they allow the CBD active ingredient to unfold its full potential. In plain language, this means that you will feel the effect well. So you will benefit from consumption and don't have to weigh anything up. It is good to be informed as much as possible and look up how CBD should use it. The manufacturer provides numerous tips on this subject on the Internet. But you can also look at the experience from users and then decide whether to order.
Must One Have This Cigarette Order?
No, you don't. You also have other variants and options. So you can choose cannabis oil or CBD oil. Both species are the same. You can also order cannabis seeds. Of course, the application is relatively easy for most of them because you can even get the articles ready. That means you can use them just like that. Cannabis oil, for example, is a product that you drip into your mouth immediately after delivery and let it take effect. The oral mucosa will then absorb and absorb it, and this will be appreciated by anyone who wants to use the product. So the reason why you should use the oil is given.
Are Hemp Cigarettes Legal?
It depends on how you acquire them. THC is responsible for consciousness changes and the means addicted makes. If one wants to avoid addiction, one should also do without THC. But unfortunately, it doesn't work entirely without it. It must, therefore, also be expected that a low concentration will be found. But this one's not bad. It must be as pure as possible CBD, and then you can be sure to take a good remedy.
If you want it, then you can now directly hemp cigarettes review. But you decide that yourself and should know that you can get them in many places on the net. You can also inquire in the pharmacy.
AccessiBe Review 2020: Solving Web Accessibility with AI and Scalability
Tumblr media
Web accessibility is important for two reasons:
Being ADA & WCAG compliant is required by law (we’ll explain this further) so if your website isn’t compliant, you can get sued.
It allows people with disabilities to browse your website, which increases your potential audience and it is the decent thing to do.
In this accessiBe review, we’ll cover:
How Does accessiBe Work
How to Install and Setup accessiBe
Why ongoing compliance is important
accessiBe front end features: the accessibility interface
Accessibility profiles
Content adjustments
Color adjustments
Orientation adjustments
accessiBe back end features:
Screen-reader and keyboard navigation compatibility
Background processing
Image recognition
Menus
accessiBe vs. free plugins
accessiBe vs. manual solutions
How to check your web accessibility compliance status
How Does accessiBe Work
accessiBe is an automated solution that combines two applications to achieve full compliance.
Foreground application: the accessibility interface. This is the accessibility menu that allows users with disabilities to adjust the various UI and design elements on your website so it meets their unique needs.
Background application: proprietary AI technology that’s responsible for the ‘heavy lifting’, screen-reader, and keyboard navigation optimization.
The combination of these two applications is unique for accessiBe for a few reasons. While most available accessibility solutions offer just one of the two or rely on manual remediation, accessiBe checks both boxes and does it in a fully automated way.
Additionally, and most importantly, accessiBe continuously scans your website, every 24 hours, identifying and fixing new accessibility issues as they arise. Websites are dynamic – meaning, keep updating constantly with new content, pages, images and so on; being ADA and WCAG compliant is an ongoing concern, not a one-time fix.
How to Install and Setup accessiBe
You install accessiBe by inserting a single line of code on your website.
From your end, that’s all it takes.
The first thing that happens is that the accessibility interface appears on your website. The menu is available via the accessibility icon (that also appears automatically.)
Tumblr media
Source: accessiBe website
Next, the AI application scans and analyzes your website for accessibility issues and compatibility with screen-readers and keyboard navigation requirements and fixes them. This automated process takes 48 hours.
Once the initial 48 hours have elapsed, your website is compliant.
From here on, accessiBe automatically scans your website every 24 hours to identify and fix new accessibility issues as they arise due to website updates.
Why Ongoing Compliance is Important
We’ve mentioned this already, but it’s important to stress this point.
Whether you have an e-commerce website or a company website, you keep updating and changing your website; new items go up for sale, new videos and content pieces are added. Every addition or removal from your website has the potential of creating accessibility gaps (like missing alt text for images.)
By continuously scanning and fixing your website, accessiBe ensures that you stay compliant. An accessibility audit remediates your website for the specific point in time the audit took place. Meaning, you’ll need to audit your website periodically to remain compliant, which is a costly affair. With accessiBe you don’t need to worry about this.
accessiBe Front End Features – The Accessibility Interface
The accessiBe accessibility interface (the menu that is available for users) is installed automatically on your website once you insert the line of code. Let’s look at the various features that are available for people with disabilities.
Accessibility Profiles Explained
First, it allows you to choose from a pre-defined set of profiles optimized for various disability needs:
Tumblr media
When one of the profiles is selected, the required adjustments are instantly applied to your entire website.
For example, The ADHD Friendly Profile creates a reading mark that follows your mouse movements that diminish distractions and allows better focus:
Tumblr media
The Cognitive Disability Profile frames all the elements in bounding boxes and adds an ‘reading cursor’ that acts as your mouse to allow enhanced orientation:
Tumblr media
Each of the predefined profiles includes a suite of features that target the unique accessibility needs of the disability; the Epilepsy Safe Profile prevents videos from playing automatically, dims all the colors on your website and eliminates flashing and blinking animations; the Visually Impaired Profile enhances all your website’s visuals, enlarges all fonts to allow most visual impairments conditions (degrading eyesight, tunnel vision, cataract, glaucoma and more) to be able to browse your website with ease.
The last two profiles, Blind Users and Keyboard Navigation, work in unison. They allow blind and motor-impaired individuals to browse and use your website as they are used to, through screen-readers and keyboard functionality, respectively.
Tumblr media
Two things need to be mentioned here:
Blind individuals have screen-readers installed on their computers in the OS-level, meaning, on the hard drive of the computer. They use them to navigate the internet by having the software read for them every text that appears on the screen. As can be seen in the screenshot above, the Blind User profile is ‘launched’ automatically once accessiBe detects that the user is using a screen-reader. This is a crucial functionality since obviously blind users aren’t able to locate the accessibility icon.
The same goes for individuals that are using the keyboard instead of a mouse to navigate the web, both the motor-impaired and the blind. accessiBe detects and automatically enables keyboard navigation on your website.
On top of the predefined accessibility profiles, accessiBe’s interface allows for further adjustments that can be controlled specifically to allow a personalized browsing experience according to the user’s needs. Let’s look at these adjustments.
Accessibility Content Adjustments Explained
The content adjustments allow you to control every aspect of the written content on your website. The menu looks like this:
Tumblr media
Each of these elements allows for granular control of the way content, or text, is presented. From altering the entire website’s text to a readable, sans-serif font that is easier to follow, to highlighting titles and links, to adjusting font size, the spacing between lines and letters and using a text magnifier that follows your cursor on the screen.
Here’s how it looks with Highlight Titles and Highlight Links turned on:
Tumblr media
You can see all the links are highlighted with an orange bounding box while all titles are highlighted with a blue bounding box.
Accessibility Color Adjustments Explained
The color adjustments allows users to control every aspect of the color scheme on the website:
Tumblr media
From adjusting contrast and saturation, to switching the entire website to a monochrome color scheme, to adjusting textual elements and background colors. Let’s look at a few examples.
Here’s a side-by-side of default appearance and the Dark Contrast adjustment turned on:
Tumblr media
And here’s how it looks with the Monochrome adjustment turned on:
Tumblr media
Accessibility Orientation Adjustments Explained
The orientation adjustments allow full control of ‘distractions’ that make it hard for individuals with epilepsy, ADHD, and cognitive disability to browse the web:
Tumblr media
As such, the orientation adjustments allow users to mute sound, hide images, stop animations and additional ‘focus’ features such as an enlarged cursor and reading assistance that highlights the text being read.
Here’s how the Remove Images adjustment works:
Tumblr media
accessiBe Back End Features
Unlike ‘accessibility plugins’ (more on that later) accessiBe provides a comprehensive back end treatment to your website – automated, AI-powered analysis of compatibility with accessibility requirements and fixing of the elements that need adjustment.
It should be noted that 70% of the WCAG compliance requirements deal with screen-reader and keyboard navigation compatibility and all these requirements are not answered by installing an accessibility interface widget that merely makes UI and design adjustments.
For example, an accessibility widget will enable you to enlarge the font on your website, to adjust the saturation or to highlight links, but it won’t enable a blind individual to differentiate between a shopping cart icon and a checkout icon, nor will it enable a motor impaired individual to easily navigate a menu.
This is a crucial consideration to make when choosing a web accessibility solution. Being WCAG compliant is a YES / NO situation. Your website is either compliant or it’s not, there is no middle ground here.
accessiBe’s back end features come to solve and answer all these compatibility issues that enable full screen-reader and keyboard navigation functionalities.
Screen Reader Compatibility Explained
Screen Reader is a software for blind individuals to use computers and browse the web. As the name suggests, the software reads aloud what is seen on the screen for blind individuals.
The screen reader software is installed on the computer. But in order for it to work with websites, the website needs to be compatible with the software. To achieve compatibility with screen reader software, WCAG requires that a website should adhere to a set of attributes called Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) that are installed within the website’s code, allowing it to ‘communicate’ with the screen reader.
Let’s take social icons as an example. We are all familiar with those icons – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – they are instantly recognizable for us visually. A screen reader software doesn’t actually ‘see’ elements on the screen, rather it scans the website’s code to understand what appears on the screen. As such, a Facebook icon code simply says ‘link’ and has the URL that directs the user when clicking the link.
So with a website that isn’t compatible with a screen reader, that doesn’t have ARIA tags implemented, the screen reader will read to the blind person “link” for the Facebook icon; not very helpful, is it?
When ARIA tags are implemented, additional information is added to the Facebook icon – and any other visual link on the website – that describes what is the link. So the screen reader will read to the blind person “Facebook link”.
It’s not difficult to imagine the scope and effort of the work needed in order to implement ARIA tags on your entire website.
Keyboard Navigation Compatibility Explained
Keyboard navigation means that motor-impaired individuals are using their computers only through their keyboard, rather than a mouse. Scrolling, clicking links and menu buttons, opening and closing tabs – everything is done using designated keys.
There are many issues relating to keyboard navigation as today’s websites are highly complex, layered with content elements, and react dynamically to user behavior. Any element of the website must be compatible to allow full keyboard navigation.
Let’s look at a popup as an example.
Popups can be triggered for a variety of reasons. For mouse users, it is a simple occurrence; you can bring the cursor to the area of the popup, click on one of the fields to input details or click the X to close the popup.
But how do you handle the popup using only the keyboard? How do you differentiate between ‘regular’ functionalities of the website and that of the popup? How do you ‘shift the focus’ of the keystrokes to a layered element? You need to allow unique keystrokes to operate the popup, keystrokes that are activated only when a popup appears.
It’s one example of the many challenges making your website compatible with keyboard navigation. The list of WCAG requirements for compatibility with keyboard navigation is a long one, and understandably so as it needs to enable motor-impaired individuals to navigate your website with the same ease as the rest of us using a mouse.
How accessiBe’s Background Processing Achieves Screen Reader and Keyboard Navigation Compatibility
Without getting too technical, what accessiBe does is scan the entire code of your website and adds keyboard functionalities and ARIA tags to various elements on your website directly. It won’t interfere with your site’s code, but rather add an additional ‘layer’.
accessiBe’s AI ‘learned’ all of ARIA’s tags and keyboard functionalities required by WCAG and when scanning your website’s code implements all the required adjustments to achieve full compliance.
How accessiBe Makes Menus Accessible
Menus are a good example for understanding what the accessiBe background processing does and the benefits it provides.
We recognize menus on websites instantly, because we saw thousands and thousands of them. We know how they look, we know what their functionality is, and we know where to hover and click in order to reach the various pages of the website.
But if you remember, we said that screen readers don’t ‘look’ at the screen, but rather scan the site’s code to understand structure, identify links and read them aloud with all the text that appears on the page.
So menus are coded as a list structure, because in a way they are. A screen reader will announce a menu as a list, which might be confusing for a blind user. Additionally, many menus have drop-down sub-menus, accessible via a hover or by clicking a little triangle. Without proper ARIA tagging, a screen reader will miss the sub-menu.
What accessiBe does is adding readable tags for every element in the menu so a screen reader will recognize and announce each element properly. The ‘list’ code structure will get a “menu” tag, and the sub-menu will get a tag for ‘sub-menu’, thus allowing the blind individual to utilize the full functionality of the website.
Additionally, accessiBe alternates the tags on-the-fly while the site is being browsed. Once a sub-menu has been opened, a tag that says “sub-menu open” will be added to indicate to the screen reader what has happened, and will be changed with the tag “sub-menu close” once the sub-menu has been closed.
Image Recognition
One of the key elements of accessibility compliance with screen readers is to provide accurate alternative descriptions for images, known as alt text.
accessiBe utilizes various image, object and character recognition technologies (OCR and Iris) to provide highly descriptive and accurate depictions of images displayed on the website. Without adding screen-reader compatible alt tags to images a blind individual would simply not be aware of the existence of images, and miss out on the information usually displayed on images.
Let’s look at the following banner images from an e-commerce website:
Tumblr media
As you can see, valuable information is communicated via the images – sales and discounts – the kind of information any shopper would want to know.
This is the descriptive text that accessiBe’s AI assigned to these images, completely automated with no human intervention (from left to right):
Image contains: shopping, stock, shop, option, fashion; image text: extra 30% off shop now
Image contains: Illustration, design; image text: sale Black Friday
Image contains: wood, luggage, retro, travel, design; image text: travel shopping 50% off
Again, doing this kind of work for the hundreds to thousands of images that are displayed on every e-commerce website requires a lot of time and effort. accessiBe achieves this in a completely automated way, and every image added to your website instantly gets its alt text.
Comparison of accessiBe with Accessibility Plugins
There are many web accessibility plugins out there. They offer a ‘quick fix’ for ADA and WCAG compliance – add an accessibility menu and you’re done.
As tempting as it may sound, the distinction between an accessibility menu and being fully compliant must be made.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, there are two parallel tasks that need to handle in order to achieve ADA and WCAG compliance:
Front end – UI and design adjustments, achieved by the Accessibility Interface (the visible menu for content, font, color and orientation adjustments)
Back end – screen-reader and keyboard navigation compatibility, achieved by implementing ARIA tags and further code adjustments
Reminder: 70% of accessibility compliance requirements deal with back end adjustments, meaning, screen-readers, and keyboard navigation compatibility.
Accessibility plugins, whether free or paid, only answer the front-end requirements. Meaning, after installing an accessibility plugin, you are just 30% compliant. Since accessibility compliance is not a scale (you don’t ‘get points’ for making it halfway through) you’ll need to turn to an additional provider to do the back end work.
accessiBe, on the other hand, provides a full accessibility compliance solution, covering both UI and design requirements through the accessibility interface AND screen-reader and keyboard navigation compatibility requirements through it’s automated AI technology that analyzes and makes adjustments in the code-level of the website.
Benefits of Using accessiBe Over Accessibility Plugins
Achieving complete accessibility compliance
Dealing with a single provider, rather than two or more
Cost-efficiency (manual audit and remediation service are expensive)
Complete compatibility with screen-readers and keyboard navigation
Enabling true accessibility to individuals with disabilities
Tumblr media
Comparison of accessiBe with Manual Accessibility Services
Manual accessibility services can help you achieve full accessibility compliance, but it comes with two major disclaimers:
You’ll still need an additional solution for an accessibility interface, which the service companies don’t provide
The compliance achieved is for the point in time the audit and remediation were performed. Let’s explain this point further.
Companies that offer a manual accessibility service assign a team of accessibility experts to do an audit of your website. The result of this audit is a lengthy document detailing all the accessibility faults that your website has. It is a valuable document as it gives you a precise depiction of what needs to be fixed in order to achieve compliance.
From here there are two possible paths:
You can either take the audit results to your development team and have them remediate your website accordingly.
Or, some of the service companies offer a remediation service, meaning, they’ll assign their own engineers to manually make the necessary changes in your website. Needless to say this extra service isn’t given for free.
In both cases, you are looking at a process that takes weeks if not months (depending on the number of pages your website has.)
Additionally, since it is a manual process done by experts, it comes with a hefty price tag.
But most importantly, the audit and remediation hold for the time they were done. Unless you have a 100% static website, meaning, you do not make any changes to your website – never add or remove products, never update content – the ‘effect’ of the audit and remediation fades away with time.
Since the process was manual, any changes you make to your website must be handled manually accessibility-wise. You added a new banner with a link to items on sale, you’ll need to go into the code and add ARIA tags. You added a new image, you’ll need to go into the code and add alt text compatible with screen-readers. And so on.
Some of the manual accessibility service companies offer maintenance services as well. They will periodically audit your website (manually) and provide a remediation document that will need to be implemented (manually) either by your development team or by theirs for an additional cost.
These costs add up. Having your website audited and remediated for compliance on an ongoing basis takes time, effort, and money. But you don’t have a choice. Being ADA and WCAG compliant is an ongoing task, since websites are dynamic and being updated regularly.
accessiBe, on the other hand, offers a 100% automated and ongoing compliance solution. The initial audit and remediation process is carried out – with no human intervention – in 48 hours (compared to weeks or months by a manual provider). Then, your website is scanned every 24 hours to identify and fix accessibility issues using accessiBe AI technology. Meaning, compliance maintenance is constantly carried out ‘in the background’ keeping you ADA & WCAG compliant at all times.
Which brings us to another crucial point regarding manual accessibility services. They make it extremely hard for you to scale up. Every business has a constant aim to grow, but with a manual accessibility service, scalability becomes a pain point. The more you grow the more time, effort and money you need to put in to remain compliant. You want to add another section to your website, you want to launch an additional website? Using a manual accessibility service will hold you back. You’ll need to account for additional time before going live to manually enable accessibility and additional funds. For fast-moving companies, time becomes a serious burden.
Since accessiBe offers an automated and ongoing accessibility solution, scalability is not an issue.
Benefits of Using accessiBe Over Manual Accessibility Services
Time-efficient
Cost-effective
100% automated
Ongoing compliance
Infinite scale
Single provider for full compliance (front end and back end)
How to Check Your Web Accessibility Compliance Level
Before you get started on your path to being ADA & WCAG compliant it’s important to understand the current state of accessibility your website provides.
Obviously, if you’ve never taken any steps to make your website accessible to individuals with disabilities, there’s no need for this – your website isn’t accessible in any way.
This is actually highly important if you have taken steps to make your website accessible, like for example, installing one of the accessibility plugins. You might be under the impression that by doing so your website is both compliant and accessible to individuals with disabilities.
There’s a simple and quick way to face the accessibility reality.
accessiBe offers a free, automated compliance audit tool available online named aCe. It uses accessiBe AI technology to scan your site, detect accessibility issues and provide quite a detailed report on the various elements that impact your website’s accessibility, and those include:
General score
Clickables
Titles
Orientation
Menus
Graphics
Forms
Documents
Readability
Carousels
Tables
Each of these elements is given a score and some explanations to the specific issues that need attention within the context of these elements.
In addition to gaining a compliance audit with the remediation steps needed to be taken in order to fix these issues, aCe gives you a very clear idea of where you stand and what needs your attention in order to achieve compliance.
We gave it a try. We ran a website that has installed one of the accessibility plugins (which was recognized, by name, by the aCe audit tool) and the results cement the point that these plugins aren’t comprehensive enough of a solution for true ADA & WCAG compliance.
Here are the results:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As can be expected, the UI and design side got relatively high scores, due to the accessibility plugin installed on the website, but anything that has to do with back end compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation got a failing score.
Conclusion
accessiBe is an automated and comprehensive web accessibility solution that achieves ongoing compliance with ADA and WCAG regulations for your website.
It offers a unique combination of front end and back end compatibility, meaning, it provides an end-to-end solution for both user-facing accessibility interface, and compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation.
