Katniss and Peeta Age: 5-6

“You better give that back Colton, or else.” the dark-haired girl sneered.

“Or what?” the older boy taunted.

“I’ll stick one of my daddy’s arrows in your eyes,” the girl retorted, glaring into his flesh like an angry bear from one of her daddy’s stories.

Th older boy bent down and tugged at her pigtails. Katniss’ face flushed bright red, she felt heat coursing through her veins. She unclenched her tight jaw and threw herself over the older boy’s arm and bit down, hard.

Colton let out a let out a loud yelp, dropped the crayon and scurried like a scared mouse.

“Here,” Katniss said, handing the orange to the blond-haired boy behind her.

“Thank you," the boy replied, attempting his best smile in between tears.

“Don’t cry. I got your crayon back, it’s all okay now.” Her silver eyes softened as she watched long steaks run down the pale boy’s face.

The boy nodded, lifting his shirtsleeve to wipe his wet face.

“Come, you can sit with me and Madge,” Katniss offered with a sweet smile.

The boy beamed up at her and grabbed her shirtsleeve as they strolled down the lunchroom.

After that day the boy and the girl followed each other everywhere like lost puppies. He never let go over of her hand and neither did she.

“My daddy took me swimming last weekend, “the girl said.

“I wish my daddy would do anything besides bake all the time. Was is nice? What colour was the water?”

“It was  sooo fun. I keep begging daddy to take me again, but he keeps saying something about the Capitol adding more work time. It was so pretty Peeta, so many colours I can’t explain. It was blue and green and clean and sparkly and I just love it, love it.”

“Can I come with you next time,” the boy raised his head expectantly.

“Mmm, I don’t know. I’ll have to ask daddy.” She said, watching the boy intently as he unwrapped a piece of bread. Her mouth watered, she shifted her gaze quickly trying not to give away the fact that she hadn’t had a proper meal in days. But the boy knew her better, he pressed a piece of bread into her hand as her stomach let out a loud lurch.

“Thank you.”

She had watched her parents kiss multiple time, she never quite understood why they did it, but at that moment looking at her best friend’s face an idea crept into her mind.

Katniss grabbed both his hands, leaned up close and pressed her tiny lips against his. They both pulled back surprised, flushed and embarrassed.

They sat by side in art class, Peeta was immersed in painting his tree. While Katniss half-heartedly drew scribbles on her notebook, peaking at her best friend every so often.

She leaned in close, brought her hands to his eyelashes and stroked them, The boy pulled back surprised

“You’re eyelashes are very pretty.”

“Thank you.”

The boy turned around and kept colouring his tree a dark shade of green, the girl’s hair brushed against his shoulders as she watched him with droopy eyes.

Peeta turned once again and twirled her red ribbon against his index finger, the girl lifted her head, smiling and unwound her ribbon.

“Here.” She said, scruffily wrapping the string around his wrist.

“Daddy, I like a boy”.

“Really sweety? What’s his name?” The tall, dark-haired man asked his little girl.

“Peeta.”

The tall man laughed deeply thinking about Mr Mellark’s deep affections for his wife when they were kids.

“Daddy can I stay with him, he has bunk bed and bread and crayons and everything.”

“Won’t you miss daddy? And what about Prim? How will she fall asleep if you don’t sing to her.” The man pouted.

“Hmm. I can’t leave Prim, you’re right. Maybe when I’m older?” The girl earnestly questioned the silver eyed man.

“Maybe when you’re older.”

Honestly I don’t like EQ’s characterization in Dragon Games. Because in Dragon Games she’s trying to make Raven Evil which isn’t at all like her characterization in the books.

In the books she wants Raven to leave her mark. So if then means becoming a rebel than so be it. The most evil thing Raven can do is serve her own purposes. If Raven is forced to be evil that makes her a lesser evil.

Idk I just really wish they kept that mindset for EQ. Regardless I love what Dragon Games brought us I just think that the way EQ is in the books is so much more interesting

I'm looking for this video specifically. Not the original Brak one; the EQ one specifically.

I've found forum links that lead to dead pages. I've yet to encounter a live human being who knows what I'm talking about.

Kinda like the junk thing about stories about yandere and other characters that are generally charismatic but insane is that like... the stories usually go the same way. It's either that the other character are clueless or that the mc is hyperaware and tries avoiding them from the very start. But I mean I suppose that's how it's supoosed to go with horror/dark romance.

I kinda just want to read a story where the mc has an insanely high eq, but low sense of danger. They can tell there's something off about this dude. The mc has never met a serial killer before, but this charismatic dude everyone likes gives off massive serial killer vibes. But at the same time, the city they live is otherwise rather peaceful. There's nothing really happening at the uni in which they attend. So while they're receiving these vibes, they have nothing to base it off of.

While they don't seek this guy out, they don't avoid him either. He randomly got pulled into their friend group, so the mc sees him often enough. They don't act on guard, but they don't act overly friendly either. Honestly they don't even tip off the yandere's warning signals at all. They're practically an NPC in his life. He could really care less about them.

That is until he begins noticing little things here and there. The girl that had been ruthlessly pursuing him oddly gave up on him out of the blue. The classmate that'd consistently butter him up to copy off of his homework started bothering other people instead. Before he even realized it, people started treating him like a human being instead of putting him on a pedestal. He was losing his control over the group and he had no clue why.

It takes longer than he'd like to admit, but eventually he zeroes in on the mc. The mc is the only outlier in this equation. They're the only one that didn't become obsessed with him, either in infatuation or hate. Really, he should've realized it earlier. You were known as the older sibling of the group, after all. Everyone came to you when they needed to vent. And at the same time, you never treated him as something more. You never obsessed over him, not in infatuation and not in hate. Really, if anything, when you two were in the same room, you treated him as nothing more than an NP–

Hmm...

And then the obsession begins to start, on his part at least. For the first time, he begins to interact with the mc. He begins to pay attention to them. He begins to see them. And he is hooked. And the mc doesn't disappoint. With enough eq for days, they evade him with ease. They slip between his claws. They practically dance circles around him. And it only makes him want to capture them. To confine them. To swallow them whole. And the mc isnt an idiot. They know what he's doing as much as he knows what they're doing. They're not afraid either. They know the yandere. They know how low he's willing to go to get what he wants. They know him.

After going about it a bit, the yandere becomes shocked at the amount of control the mc has over this game of theirs. Because they know him so well, they've set the rules, the allowances, the limits. They did it without even trying. Even when he tries to catch them by surprise, the mc's handles it in stride. Even when he tries to play dirty, the mc doesn't bat an eye. The mc knows him. They know him so very well. He cant win this game no matter how hard he tries.

So he realizes he needs to change tactics.

He'll learn the mc so well he can exploit them as masterfully as they do him.

And the game continues.

Achievermenters

Working down the achievement list.. general.. got the keys I could, veeshan peak key looks like a pain so I'll wait till I level an extra rogue or ranger to keep track of Trak. Skills I did all I could up to level 65, been camping Hilog for 6.5 hours but no pouch yet for throwing skill.

Tradeskills - I took a look at the Artisan Wares quest, but it requires a Quis of Elements, so I will need to wait. As for the other tradeskills it is not that I am not willing to put the time into them but more that my accounts are still new so I don't have a ton of plat to spend on tradeskills. I'll definitely come back to them though.

Hero's Journey - well I have done some of these on different toons, mostly for the gear, but the thing is these are also all TSS quests. So I gotta ask myself should I keep working on them or should I work on some previous expansions first? This tab also has some of the long-ass quests that spanned whole expansions (3 from GoD, 3 from PoR)

Hero's Journey, Quests sub tab - these are a bunch of low level quests from the original EQ zones. This doesn't look hard but there are a ton and I will need to faction a lot I am guessing, for the cities that don't like me. Maybe I'll work on these for a while until I get sick of them.

The Diablo IV Sonar Profile is Good

SteelSeries collaborates with game companies to make "official" EQ profiles for different games for their sonar software.

A new one for Diablo IV is out now, and it sounds good. Looking at the EQ graph, I actually fully believe it was made by their sound engineers. Only a sound weirdo would roll the sub bass off like this and gently accentuate the detail regions the way this EQ does. A sub bass roll off followed by a bump like that makes some amount of sense both for the target gaming headset devices and the fact that it helps accentuate the more common bass frequencies.

Contrast that line with the absolutely bonkers one supposedly made by the Atomic Heart people. It adds nightmarish peaks across the sound range for no real reason?

I think even if you've never used EQ before you'd look at those two weird valleys in the middle and know something was up. This is a broken EQ profile that no one should use for anything. It's more ridiculous than the awful writing in Atomic Heart was.
