The fact that Jack was always telling Eric that the world was gonna crush him and that he leaved him behind to go with Rachel to Peace Corps. And then 15 years later, the world crushed him instead failing the principles that he had at a young age and joining a shitty company and admitting to Eric that leaving him behind was the worst thing that he had ever done in his life... I don't know but all this information breaks my heart into a million pieces I'm-💔

a little analysis on drunk shawn :)

I noticed that Shawn is drunk his emotions intensify. Some people are happy drunks, some angry, some abusive, some are just weird. Shawn is very much whatever everyone else's emotions are at the time, his are the same but stronger. For example, if he had been at a party when he got drunk, therefore happy people having fun. He would be very happy and having fun.

In 5x18 no one noticed he was drunk for a week, we didn't see that week so I assume nothing major really happened during it other than Shawn drinking more, therefore he acted normal so no one noticed. Then in class he was a little over the top with showing his boredom, everyone else in the class were bored too. At the apartment, everyone was pretty angry that he was drinking, he got angrier, to the point where he pushed Angela.

Then in 7x12 when he found out his mum wasn't his birth mum and couldn't find his real mum, the party started out kinda happy, you know? Then everyone realized he was drunk and got sad, he was already feeling sad, he had a meltdown about how he's an orphan...

I firmly believe Boy Meets World would’ve been 1000% better if Eric Matthews had been the main character. Like, think about it: him and Mr. Feeny’s relationship could’ve been explored in every episode, Jeric could replace cory x topanga as the most iconic ship in the 90s. His relationship with his father would be talked about more, him and Tommy’s relationship could’ve been further developed…like it just would’ve been better.

When it came out that Leia was supposed to be a product of a one night stand; I had this aching suspicion that Callie was casted as Eric's daughter. Not Donna. It wouldn't surprise me if that came out as the truth.

I don't think so, as Netflix had rejected that proposal, and iirc, the creators described a son coming to Red and Kitty's door. And, I think casting came some time after that first proposal was scrapped and after the second proposal was put into motion.

However, I do think the remnants of that idea remained in their second proposal, and its execution. It is readily apparent, by how they cultivated Leia's character, and who they chose to play her.

1. Leia is firmly designed as Eric's daughter, with Donna's traits being an afterthought. She is pretty much a smarter Eric with Donna-ish interests (but cultivated in an Eric-y way).

This would be fine, as a whole, if the other new characters were unique entities, but all the other new characters were made in this way. With the intended OG character as an overwhelmingly obvious base, but with a couple of differentiating traits. Like Gwen is way more extroverted and dynamic than Hyde, Nate is a jock (unlike clumsy Kelso), etc. They did better with some new characters than others. Nate and Ozzie, in particular, are the worst of the bunch.

2. Callie can easily pass as Eric's daughter, but Eric's daughter with someone else. Not with Donna, because there are physical traits that don't mesh with both Eric and Donna being her parents, unless something from two/three generations back suddenly popped up. Her parents and grandparents all have light colored eyes; where did the dark brown eyes come from? Her parents and grandparents are very pale/cool toned, but she has olive skin that tans.

Plus, the first proposal really illustrates how little the Turners care about the characters and the integrity of the OG show (minus season 8, which also had zero integrity). The second, fleshed out version we got is only marginally better, too.

Thus, I think T9S is a result of this weird mix of tunnel vision and adhering to real-life circumstances. With some Star Wars gimmicks sprinkled in for good measure.

1. The Turners were reminiscing about their daughter's Gen X teenagehood in the 90s, and they were willing to discard/contort canon (and ages, as they oddly attempted with Eric) to make it happen. When, obviously, the gang's kids (other than Betsy) would probably be Millennials. Duh.

2. Hyde was omitted (entirely?) due to DM. Jackie and Kelso were plopped together because of Ashton and Mila being together in real life. So JH and KB were likely retconned, as was most of the second half of the show, with only convenient, insignificant details/gimmicks from later seasons remaining. Except for JF and the last few eps, because Mila and Wilmer were putting up a stink.

Thus, T9S is a result of these two major factors, instead of keeping true to the characters. If they did, there would be a That 00s Show revolving around JH and ED's kids, at their houses, perhaps with Eric being a Mr. Feeny type and/or with Hyde being the owner of the kids' default hangout spot, Grooves. But that would never happen, for a variety of real-life reasons, and there's money to be made in an ill-conceived venture instead.

But these are my favorite Bill scenes I ever did with him. And I'm, that's why I'm amazed that I don't remember this at all because it's just the two of us talking him imparting wisdom. Us now starting to talk more like colleagues and friends. And it's really amazing. And that's why I was like, how do I not remember this at all? This is, this is what I love. This is my favorite thing ever. And none of it, none of it. -Will

The Writers Breaking up Shawn x Angela doesn't sit well with me.

They fully replaced Angela with a white woman in that reboot and that literally does not sit right with me. It's so obvious that Shawn and Angela outshined Cory and Topanga. Michael Jacobs didn't like that an interracial couple outshined and was gaining more popularity on his show than his boring & bland white couple, so he broke them up to prop Cory and Topanga and that failed miserably because now girl meets world is canceled after the things they did to Shawn and Angela's relationship and everyone prefers Shawn and angela over Cory and Topanga, and HATE Shawn and Katy!

That lazy explanation that "they never meshed," when Angela and Shawn were the same people with different backgrounds and connected, collided, and were literally perfect for each other is just an outlining that Michael couldn't stand that Shawn and Angela were far more popular and far more superior to Cory and Topanga.

On top of that, he had the audacity to say Shawn and Angela were "unrealistic," when Cory and Topanga claimed to be in love since they were two and she gave up an entire college for him, you want to talk about realism?!? PLEASE.
